Elsa felt the very ice beneath her feet fall away at the three words Jack said to her. The feelings that were at one time once strange and new to her, now entranced her in ways she could never imagined. Ways she had only ever before seen of her sister long ago. But never had she ever felt it until now at this very moment, held within the strong, warm embrace of the man who she loved.
The very spirit of Winter. The Guardian of Childhood himself. The only man she had ever opened up to.
Jack Frost.
Feeling his strong arms wrapped around her waist, holding her close to him. Elsa felt her very heart skip a beat at his very touch.
The entire pond had fallen complete silent in the moment. Watching from the shore line, Jamie and his friends all watched eagerly and excitedly. Especially after hearing Jack confess his feelings to Elsa. Peering from behind a nearby tree, Pippa squealed, shaking Jamie's shoulders in excitement.
"He said it! He said It!" Pippa whispered.
Jamie chuckled as well, glancing back to the two winter spirits. His glance mainly directed to Elsa, eager to hear her admit her feelings as well. From another side of the pond, Bruni and Nokk had been watching them as well. Perched over a large rock, Bruni glanced up at Nokk, who trotted up from the forest. Giving a snort as he gestured his head forward at the two. Seeming just as excited as they were.
Elsa glanced away for a moment, tears of joy seeping from her tightly shut eyes. Turning back to face Jack, smiling.
"Jack..." she said in a whispering voice.
Only to feel Jack's hand pressing delicately against her soft smooth cheek, stroking her delicately. The two becoming lost within each other's icy blue eyes for a single moment of time. Slowly the two began to close the distance between them, their lips coming to meet. A gesture that did not go unnoticed by Jamie and the other kids, who all gasped with anticipation.
"Its happening!" Pippa whispered to them.
The other kids all quickly ducked down behind the root. Though continuing to peer from behind it to bear witness to what was to come. The distance between Jack and Elsa had become narrow as their eyes slowly closed. Their very lips mere inches away from touching...
Something suddenly swept past the two with a horse-like neigh, snapping both Jack and Elsa to attention. Glancing up, there suddenly came another from the opposite side. Though it was not Nokk which they saw. Rather the horse appeared black and sand in nature. Turning back they saw it galloping to the Centre of the pond, where they saw several more appear from the shadows, surrounding them from all sides.
The two winter spirits turned to face them. Jack holding his staff at the ready.
"What are they?" Elsa asked, glancing to Jack.
"Nightmares!" Jack exclaimed to her.
One of the Nightmares charged at Jack from behind. Only for him to quickly turned back and swipe at it with his ice magic, causing it to disburse. The other Nightmares followed suit.
"Elsa, watch out!" Jack exclaimed, quickly leaping in front of her.
Swiping his staff, Jack striking them with a surge of his icy magic. Elsa heard some Nightmares from behind, seeing the galloping through the air, toward them.
"Jack!" She exclaimed to him.
Swiping his staff, Jack turned back to see the Nightmares coming at them from behind. Just as he was to react, Elsa stepped between them and blasted them with her magic. The two Nightmares suddenly disbursed upon being struck by her magic bolts. The snow queen continued to blast her ice magic at the other Nightmares.
There was another horses' neigh from the other side of the pond. Elsa turned and saw Nokk and Bruni being surrounded by the nightmares. Bruni body lit up in fire as he growled to them. Nokk stood up over his back legs as he kicked his front at the Nightmares.
"Nokk, Bruni!" Elsa exclaimed to them.
Though as she attempted to rush to their aid, only to be blocked by the Nightmares, who kicked it's front legs to her. Elsa quickly sauntered back from them.
"Elsa!" Jack exclaimed to her.
who came in front of her. He then blasted some of his ice magic at the nightmares, which then disbursed into black sand from the blast of his staff. Only for the others to close in upon them.
"Pitch!" Jack said, knowing well he was behind this.
"Jack, Elsa!" Jamie called to them.
The two turned back at Jamie, Pippa and the other children, being surrounded by the nightmares.
"Jamie!" Jack called out to them.
The two suddenly heard a familiar laughter from over the ledge above. Turning back, they looked above over the edge above. Emerging from the shadows of the forest above, they saw Pitch ridding over the back of a Nightmare. Coming to stand at the edge of the ledge, Pitch came to stare down over the two winter spirits. As well as the children who had helped the Guardians trap him away for all these years.
"It's like I told you before, Jack. There will always be fear." Pitch proclaimed.
Jack came up in front of Elsa, his hands gripping his staff tightly in his hands.
"And it seems there's still more to go around in this miserable little town. And I have you to thank for it, Elsa." Pitch said, glancing to the Snow queen with a sly smirk.
Elsa stared up in awe and disbelief, squinting her eyes curiously at Pitch.
"Me-?" She said, shaking her head.
"I must say, your fear is very... powerful. I honestly haven't seen the Nightmares this railed up before." Pitch proclaimed, brushing his hand delicately against the side of the nightmares face.
"And it's just as strong as it was all those years ago..."
Pitch then chuckled before shifted his gazed to Jamie and his friends. Surrounded from all around by his Nightmares
"And look, all the children who imprisoned me for all this time." Pitch said, grinning.
"As I recall, you last said to me that you were not afraid of me. Well, how about now. Jamie?"
Jamie and his friends quickly huddled together, grabbling either rocks or sticks from the forest floor. All the while, the Nightmares continued to surround them, hurling and kicking their feet at them.
"You all may have gotten rid of me before. And you thought you could get rid of me again with your... Love." Pitch proclaimed, gawking at the word.
"But it will be much different this time, Jack. It's time for fear to rule the world. And you, the Guardians and your little friends won't get in the way..."
Pitch chuckled.
"It's time I finished what I started." Pitch proclaimed.
Jack suddenly lunged into the air in anger. Much to the dismay of Elsa, who reached out her hand to him.
"Jack!" She pleaded with him.
But Jack did not hear her pleads for him. Too lost and driven by the rage he felt at Pitch threatening his friends. Which caused Pitch to give a sly smirk in response. The Nightmare her was ridding charged forward from off the cliff. Galloping toward Jack through cool breezed air like a knight in battle.
Raising his staff, Jack firing a serge of his ice magic at Pitch. Only for him leap out of the way of the blast. The Nightmare then lunged at Jack before he could react. It was at that moment where he swung black sanded mace at Jack, which struck him hard. Sending topping to the ground below. Crashing up against the cliff, Jack fell and landed over the frozen pond below.
"Jack!" Elsa exclaimed.
Elsa attempted to rush to his aid. Only to then be stopped by the Nightmares once more, who began circling her from all around. Changing form into what appeared to be a gust of black sand swirling around her. Seeming to be growing faster with each passing moment. Trapping her where she stood.
From above, Pitch gazed down over the snow queen as he grinned. His plan seeming to be all coming together.
She turned back to Jack, who slowly leaned off the ground.
"Jack!" Elsa called out to him.
Jack glanced up and saw Elsa trapped within what appeared to be a tornado of black sand. Reaching out his hand to him as she called for help. He stood up off the pond as he quicky rushed to her.
"Elsa!" He proclaimed, reaching out his hand to her.
Bruni and Nokk followed suit as they rushed to the aid of their Snow queen. Elsa continued reaching out for him. Only to then be swept over by the black sand, concealing her from sight completely. Jack then came to a stop over the icy pond along with Nokk and Bruni. The strong gust of air proving to be too strong. Bruni himself got blown back over the ice.
Jack attempted to go in after her. as he tried to call out for her.
"Elsa...?!" Jack called out to her
The Sand which had concealed her from all around suddenly disbursed into thin air. Only to reveal that Elsa was gone. In her place, the small blue flower Jack had given her. Jack paused there, staring in shock and awe.
"Elsa...?" He said, rushing forward.
Jack came up, picking the flower off the icy pond. He then turned, gazing around the pond.
"Elsa, Elsa!" Jack continued to call out for her.
Nokk came up next to him, giving a small snort as he narrowed his head. Bruni came up from behind, cocking his head from one side in confusion. From the other side of the pond, Jamie and his friends all looked on with the same look of awe and disbelief. Having seen Elsa disappear into the black sand.
"Elsa?" Jamie said.
Pitch gave a small chuckle as he grinned. When suddenly, there was a sudden flash of bright light from nearby. Along with the familiar sound of small bells that couldn't mistaken as North's sleigh. Upon glancing back, he saw what appeared to be one of North's portals. North's Sleigh appeared from the portal as it came around toward him.
Pitch growled before he turned and rode off into the darkness of the Night.
"Elsa...!" Jack continued to call out for her.
Only to be answered by the soft evening breeze and the silence of the night. North's sleigh landed over the ice before sliding to a stop. From over the sides of the sleigh, North, Bunny, Tooth and Sandy landed down over icy pond.
"Jack!" North said, rushing over to Jack.
Jack paused, turning back to North and the others.
"North." Jack said.
"What happened?" North asked, curiously.
Tooth flew up to North's side. She then shifted her gaze to Bruni and Nokk. Only to then notice that Elsa was nowhere to be seen.
"Jack, where's Elsa?" Tooth asked, glancing around.
"Pitch!" Jack proclaimed to them.
The mention of Pitch caused them to gasp in shock and dismay.
"Pitch! Pitch has Elsa!" North said, taking him by the shoulders.
"We tried to fight him off. But he was too strong." Jack insisted to them.
The mention of Pitch becoming stronger was indeed disturbing news to say the least. Especially to North, who narrowed his head as he sifted his eyes, worryingly. Having feared the most that this would happen. Especially with Pitch becoming stronger from Elsa's fear.
"This is not good!" North said.
It was then they noticed snow began to drift down from the sky above. North raised his gaze to the falling snow. Jack and the others followed suit, gazing up at the falling snow, curiously.
"What's happening?" Tooth asked, turning to North.
North stpped forward, squinting his eyes.
"It's Elsa... She's in danger!" North insisted to them.
"We have to find her, don't we?" Tooth insisted to them.
"Question is, where he's taken her?" Bunny asked, glancing to them
Jack took a glance down at the flower in his hand. The question lingering within his mind for but a moments time. Along with the feeling of Only for the realization to come to come to him. Causing him to gasp before turning and fly off. Much to the dismay of North and the other Guardians.
"Jack!" North called to him.
All the while, Jamie watched on worryingly as Jack flew off to find Elsa. All with the hope that he would find her wherever Pitch had taken her.
Elsa stood over a circular platform at Centre of what appeared to be a large dark room, where large circular cages hung down from above. The snow queen tried desperately to break free from the chains over her hands. Pulling as hard as her strength could muster. Though despite her best efforts, the chains were too strong for her to escape. She then paused, glancing around the blacken dungeon lair for any way of escape.
But still she saw nothing. Nothing that could help her escape nor a way out of this place.
There was a sudden laughter like the one from back at the pond. Elsa shifted her gaze back to the narrow walkway behind her, where she saw a strange pale figure wearing a black cloak emerge from the shadows.
"I wouldn't bother trying. There's no escaping from this place." Pitch insisted to her.
"Who are you? Why did you bring me here?!" Elsa exclaimed to him.
Pitch only chuckled.
"All in good time, My Queen. But for now, your going to help me settle an old score with Jack." Pitch proclaimed, circling around her.
Elsa shook her head to him.
"I'll never help you!" Elsa proclaimed to him.
"Oh, but you already have. It was you fear that set me free from this place." Pitch proclaimed to her.
"Why it's just as powerful as it was all those years ago. I seemed to remember it well... The day you revealed your powers to all of Arendelle."
Elsa paused, squinting her eyes in confusion.
"How... do you know...?" She asked, curiously.
"Oh, I know all about you, Elsa. I was there when it all happened." Pitch proclaimed to her.
"An entire Kingdom consumed by fear. It was such happy times for me."
Pitch suddenly paused. The grin he once had turned to an angered scowl.
"But then... that pesky little sister of yours had to come along. Saving the day with her... love." Pitch gawked at her.
"Anna..." Elsa said.
"But she's not here to save you this time. Nor will there be any love to help control those powers." Pitch proclaimed to her.
"The whole world is about to feel what it was Arendelle had felt that day. Darkness. Cold... and Fear..."
Pitch slowly faded back into the shadows with a sly grin. Elsa attempted to go after him. Only to be held back by the chains that bounded her. Elsa shifted her gaze back as her thoughts and hopes immediately turned to Jack. Hoping that he would come and rescue her from this place.
"Jack... please hurry... come save me from this place..." Elsa pleaded for him.
