Hello everyone, Happy New Year! You're probably sick of me apologising for my lengthily delays in updates XD but this one definitely deserve one since it was back in June or July when I last updated. Anyway, hope this chapter was worth the very long wait lol In other news, I watched Digimon Tri back in November. It was awesome seeing Tai and co back again :D I won't say anymore in case anyone hasn't seen it themselves.

Episode 46: "Big Trouble in Tokyo Part 1"
.:Thunder Mountain, File Island, Digital World:.
Amongst the darkness and the fog that surrounded Myotismon's castle, a faint light could be seen glowing from the back of the building out in the courtyard.
The light was coming from Wisemon's space time stones, which he was currently controlling with his hands. He manoeuvred them around in a circular motion, and a trail of light followed them continuously until the trails connected with each other forming a circle.
Wisemon took a step back as his space time stones returned, hovering either side of him, and he watched on as the circular trail of light began to glow brighter and inside the circle a portal began to form warping the space that was within it.
"Forgive me for not doing this sooner my lord, but this sort of power requires me to use a lot of my strength." Wisemon spoke bowing his head.
Myotismon watched on, smiling as a sky blue abyss appeared within the circle as the portal finished forming and the light around it dimmed and turned to metal forming the outer structure of the gate.
"It is now ready." Wisemon said softly as his space time stones disappeared back within the palms of his hands.
Myotismon smiled as he caught a glimpse of a faint image of Odaiba through the abyss. He then cast a glance over his shoulder.
Behind him stood the Nightmare Six. Behind them, with their features hidden in the dark, stood some of the strongest members of his army of X Digimon, some personally chosen by the Nightmare Six themselves.
Myotismon narrowed his eyes as his grin became wider as he turned his attention back to the gate in front of them. He glanced up past the portal and up to the fog filled sky, waiting for the first glimpse of the sunrise that would make its way through the mist….
But unaware to him and his army, someone had been watching high up on Thunder Mountain….
.:Kamiya Apartment, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
The elevator doors opened on the eleventh floor and Dawn stepped out, returning home from her morning soccer practice. She was still dressed in the red and white Odaiba team kit, cradling her soccer ball under her right arm and her duffel bag swung over her shoulder.
In her left hand she was holding her digivice; looking down at the holographic profile she had opened up of Myotismon as she began to head towards her apartment. She dropped her soccer ball to the ground and began to dribble it along as she walked, kicking it against the railings as she did.
"Ultimate level… attacks Crimson Lightning and Grisly Wing… type: undead Digimon… man, there's nothing on here that could be a hint as to what's inside that chest." The Kamiya girl thought to herself as she named off the information in her head. "Maybe Agumon and Biyomon could help… They know Myotismon better than us. Perhaps they know what's hidden away that he wants so badly."
Upon arriving at the front door, with one swift motion she rolled the ball back onto the top of her foot and kicked it up so she caught it in both hands. She cradled the ball under her left arm and clipped her digivice back onto her shorts before she opened the door and stepped inside the apartment; only to be greeted with Biyomon stood there with her wings on her hips.
Startled, the Kamiya girl took a step back, dropping her soccer ball from under her arm in the process. "… how long have you been waiting there?"
"Not long. I heard you kicking your soccer ball from the elevator." Biyomon replied. "Did you forget someone?" she immediately asked.
Dawn remained quiet, answering her mother's Digimon by the puzzled look on her face.
"Agumon." The bird Digimon replied, lowering her wings. "Your father told you not to go anywhere without Agumon."
Dawn had to stop herself from rolling her eyes as she dumped her duffel bag by the coat rack before walking past Biyomon. "Relax Biyo, it was only soccer practice." She said. "Agumon was still asleep. I didn't want to wake him. You know how cranky he can be if you wake him up." She added. She jumped up onto one of the chairs at the breakfast bar and grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl.
Biyomon sighed and followed her. "Even if it is just soccer practice you still need to have Agumon with you. Don't think your father is being overprotective when he told you not to go anywhere alone. He just doesn't want anything to happen to you. You gave him quite a scare the other night, and with Myotismon releasing those six Digimon he's going to be worried. We all are."
Dawn took a bite out of her apple and swallowed it. "I know. I'll be careful." She replied. "Hey, do you have any idea what could be inside that chest? Myotismon said it was something very important to him."
Biyomon frowned. "Don't change the subject."
"No I'm serious." Dawn continued. "You guys and Myotismon go way back to when Mom and Dad were kids. Surely you must know something about him that could prove useful."
"Sorry Dawn, we don't. We never even heard of the group 'The Nightmare Six' so we have no idea who these Digimon are either. They are probably just another group of ruthless Digimon who Myotismon has managed to persuade to join his side. As for the chest, well anything could be inside it."
Dawn frowned, slumping back in her chair. "Surely someone besides Myotismon must know what's inside that chest…"
.:Izzy's Lab, Minato, Tokyo:.
"Well, Jonathon was right." Izzy said as he read over the information on his screen. "From the tests we've carried it confirms the chest is indeed made from a type of Chrome Digizoid we haven't seen before. Nothing, not even a blast from Omnimon's cannon can break it open."
Tai, who was stood just behind the bearer of Knowledge, frowned a little. "Are you saying even with all this technology in here you can't figure out what's inside without opening it up?"
Izzy turned around in his chair a little. "We tried using our Digital Scanner. It is detecting something but we don't know what."
"Maybe your Digital Scanner is on the blink. It sounds like there is nothing in here." Agumon commented. He had the chest in his claws and was shaking it vigorously up and down close to his ear.
"Must you do that?" Tentomon complained waving his arms a little frantically. "There could be something very sensitive in there that could go off at any moment!"
Agumon lowered the chest and frowned. "I doubt Myotismon went to all that trouble just to retrieve an explosive."
Jim stood up from his desk. "It's not a solid object." He said. "It's data. But there's something blocking our scanner from finding out exactly what kind of data it is. It's either the data itself or something in the Chrome Digizoid."
"If we could find out which Digimon created the chest that would be a big help." Haruhiko added. "He or she would be able to answer all our questions."
"Who was guarding the chest again?" Izzy asked, looking up at Tai.
Tai thought for a moment. "I think Dawn said he was called ClavisAngemon. His sword was the key that opened the chest and the only way to get it was for Myotismon to defeat him."
"And then Myotismon ended up destroying the key himself." Agumon added as he placed the chest back on the table. "Which was a pretty dumb move on his part if you ask me." He added crossing his arms.
"Why did he destroy the key if he wants to open the chest?" Jim wondered.
Izzy pondered for a moment. "Maybe he doesn't know the chest cannot be opened without the key…."
Tai sighed, leaning back against one of the desks. "Myotismon's already mad that we stole it from him. His anger will top the scale when he finds out he can't get whatever is inside it."
"Myotismon said it was something very important to him right?" Tentomon asked Agumon, who replied with a nod. "That sounds like something personal."
"Well, whatever it is. As long as it stays inside that chest; the better." Agumon said.
.:Searea Apartment Complex, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
Dawn slumped back against the side of the elevator as it took her down. She was now dressed in her usual attire and her goggles were hanging loosely around her neck. Her hands were stuffed in her shorts pockets as she stared down at the floor.
She was heading down a few floors to Margaret and MJ's apartment. Agumon had still been asleep so she had left him be, and reassured Biyomon that she was only going to be inside their apartment and not going to be stepping one foot outside, which didn't warrant protection.
The elevator soon came to a stop at the fifth floor. Dawn stood up straight, and took a step towards the doors as they just opened, and she was immediately met with Margaret, MJ and their Digimon who had been waiting for the elevator.
"Oh hi Dawn." Margaret smiled.
"Hey. I was just on my way to see you guys."
Margaret and MJ stepped into the elevator. "We were just heading out for some ice cream, you wanna come?" the latter said.
"Then you can tell us all about that battle against Myotismon the other day." MJ added with a smile.
Dawn turned to press the button, and her finger firstly hovered over floor eleven. But honestly, she couldn't be bothered to go all the way back up just to fetch Agumon. They were only going out for ice cream, and Decks Tokyo Beach mall was only a couple of minutes' walk away. "Sure!" she grinned, pushing the button for the ground floor….
.:Battery Island, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
Out in the bay, on the No. 6 Batter Island, a dark light emitted through the gaps in the trees. It was barely noticeable and only lasted for a few seconds.
Myotismon soon appeared in a gap in the brush, standing in between two large tree trunks. He looked out across the water and over to Odaiba. With the island covered in trees and plants, it made it the perfect hiding place, and not to mention gave him much needed darkness during the day time.
All of his memories from almost thirty years ago began to return as he gazed upon the familiar surroundings. His attention was soon drawn to the TV Station where he had first fallen to the DigiDestined.
It looked exactly the same as it did all those years ago, like nothing had happened.
"It feels strange to be back in their world, Wisemon." He finally spoke as the mysterious Digimon floated towards him from behind. "Nothing's changed."
"You have a lot of history here, my lord." Wisemon commented.
Myotismon snarled a little under his breath. "History which I do not wish to repeat." He almost snapped. "They got off lightly last time I was here, but this time I won't be so merciful."
"Just don't do anything too hastily, my lord, to jeopardise your victory."
"I must admit this world was not what I had expected." AxeKnightmon spoke from behind Wisemon. He was also accompanied by the other members of the Nightmare Six.
"This world is indeed a lot different from our own." Myotismon replied as he continued to look out to Odaiba. He turned around to face the six mega Digimon. "But you know what to do." He added, receiving a nod from them. "Deploy your forces. This will draw the DigiDestined to you. I want each and every one of them found and brought to me, understood? If anyone, Digimon or human, tries to aid them in any way; destroy them."
"Yes, my lord." All six of them replied and bowed in unison. They then disappeared, transforming into their black ghost like figures before departing off the island and out into the city….
Wisemon watched them leave through a gap in the trees before turning to look over to the vampire Digimon who was once again staring out across the bay. "I have done what you requested of me, my lord. As the portal I created opened the barrier, it also released a digital virus that has disabled their Digimon systems they have in place. They are unaware of our presence, giving us the full element of surprise."
"Good. Those DigiDestined won't escape this time." Myotismon spoke bitterly. "I'll destroy the entire city if I have to. After all these years I will get my revenge." He managed to tear himself away from the TV Station and turned to face Wisemon. "For now, I must remain in the shadows. I trust you to complete the task I assigned to you." He said, and Wisemon nodded in response. "For when our guests start to arrive I want to give them a proper welcoming."
.:Tokyo Tower, Minato, Tokyo:.
"You know; all the years I've lived here I've never been up Tokyo Tower." Kichi commented as she stood at the foot of the tower gazing up at it, with one hand just above her eyes shielding them from the sun.
"It was the tallest structure in Japan until the Tokyo Skytree was built." Jonathon said from beside his mother. "It's painted white and orange to comply with air safety regulations too."
Kichi briefly glanced down at her son and smiled, before looking back up. "I bet there's a brilliant view of Tokyo from the observation deck on a clear day like today."
"There's two observation decks." Jonathon pointed out. "There's the two story main observatory at 150 meters, and a smaller special observatory at just over 249 meters."
"I didn't know there would be a personal tour guide on today's outing." Tentomon chirped up humorously, who was wearing a jacket with its hood up, concealing his identity.
Jonathon frowned down at his Digimon partner.
Kichi smiled. "Well I think it's fascinating." She said. "Although I'm not sure about that special observatory deck… your father took me on the Ferris wheel on our third date and I was a little nervous at how high that was." She added with a giggle, to which Jonathon simply smiled.
"Geez, I know Tokyo's litter problem has increased a little but do they really need an army of trash cans?"
"Huh?" Jonathon's ears caught that particular comment from a middle aged businessman who was stood just behind him with his work colleague. Jonathon turned around and looked to see a row of ten dark green trash cans that were formed in a single straight line running along the edge of the sidewalk. They had red and black graffiti sprayed all over them. The one marking that stood out was the thick black X on the front of the cans…
"Well, we still have a good hour before we meet up with your father, why don't we head up the tower? See if I can brave the top deck? We might even see Mount Fuji from there." Kichi smiled as she continued to look up at it. She felt a slight nudge on her back, as Jonathon had taken a step back and accidently bumped into her. She turned around and looked down at her son, but she then spotted the row of trash cans ahead of them. "Hey, where did those come from? They weren't there before."
His mother had just confirmed what he had been thinking. They hadn't been there before, which only roused his suspicion even more…
Before Jonathon could say anything, the tops of the trash cans suddenly blew off in unison causing several people passing by to jump in fright. Immediately ten pink mutant monsters wielding bazookas burst out from inside their trash cans and instantly began to fire pink poop from their weapons.
People began to scream and run in panic as they were showered with the filthy attack, some being unfortunate to be hit with them. The Garbagemon X broke from formation and began to chase the crowds of people, bouncing along in their trash cans.
"Ahh what are those things?!" one man cried as he ran past Jonathon barely dodging four blasts.
Jonathon jumped back, avoiding being hit.
One of the pink poops landed on the ground inches from Kichi's foot. "Ew!" she exclaimed cringing as it splattered next to her. "What are they?"
"Garbagemon! I knew it!" Jonathon declared.
"Correction; Garbagemon X." Tentomon said as he hovered beside his partner.
Jonathon unclipped his digivice and looked at the screen. "What's going on? My digivice should have alerted me to Digimon nearby." He pressed a few buttons and opened up the map on his screen. But it was blank with no indication of the Garbagemon X's signals; even though they were right in front of him. "Something must be wrong with the Digimon Detection Signal in my D-Power…"
"Look out Jonathon!" Tentomon broke his human partner from his thoughts by pushing him out of the way and saving him from being splattered by three oncoming attacks. "Never mind that now, as long as I can still digivolve that's all that matters."
Jonathon pressed the button on his purple digivice and thankfully, his Digital Ring was released….
"TENTOMON DOUBLE DIGIVOLVE TO… JEWELBEEMON!"
Kichi took a few steps back as the light faded and Tentomon had been replaced by a much larger bug like monster…
The surrounding area at the entrance to the tower had now been cleared of people who had fled, although there were a few small crowds watching what was happening from a safe distance.
Jewelbeemon was immediately thrown into the action as five poops were fired at him. He thrust his spear upwards before he spun and twisted it, successfully blocking each one from splattering him.
Three of the ten Garbagemon X chuckled as their eyes fell upon the ultimate Digimon in front of them. "Time to take out the trash boys." the one in the middle said mischievously.
Jewelbeemon narrowed his eyes. Grasping his spear, he suddenly leapt up high into the air. He purposely jumped up in front of the sun so the Garbagemon X were blinded as they watched him soar high above them.
They flinched, scrunching their eyes shut as the brightness of the sun blocked out Jewelbeemon.
Jonathon's Digimon then dropped down suddenly right in front of them on the ground. With three swift moves of his spear he swatted them away. Two of them were thrown high up into the air whilst the other was thrown across the ground causing him to tumble out of his trash can. Jewelbeemon jumped back up. "Spike Buster!" he soared up towards the first Garbagemon X and thrust his spear straight through the can and Garbagemon X's body, destroying him instantly. He then spun round and fired a red beam from the tip of his spear; finishing off the second one.
The third one down on the ground gasped, witnessing his two friends' demise. He scrambled to his feet and began to make a dash for his trash can that lay a good few feet away from him.
Jewelbeemon spotted him and quickly pointed his spear down and fired a single blast of energy.
Garbagemon X was almost on top of his trash can when the blast struck him, and he burst into a shower of data.
Jewelbeemon floated down and pressed his foot down on top of the now discarded trash can, crushing it under his weight. He then looked ahead to two more Garbagemon X. "So, who's next?"
The two Garbagemon X growled and pointed their bazookas at the insect Digimon. "Try and stop this." One of them threatened before they both fired a continuous round of their disgusting attacks…
.:The Blue Dragon, Minato, Tokyo:.
Dan frowned as he wiped his cloth over another table. For punishment for destroying his mother's hairpins she had sent him to help out at his father's restaurant for the morning, much to the ten-year old's dismay as it meant he had to miss soccer practice.
"This sucks," the goggle boy moaned standing up straight, just as his father walked out from the back carrying some plates. "It's a scorching hot morning and I've gotta stay inside and clean tables."
"Well maybe you'll think twice next time before you destroy your mother's hair accessories." Davis chuckled as he put the plates down on the counter.
"Dad! The fate of the Digital World could be at stake! Opening that chest is more important than Mom's hair accessories! She's got thousands of them anyway!"
Davis smiled. "Son, when you get older and you understand girls, you'll understand these things."
Dan frowned at his father, not quite sure what he meant by that. But just then, the ground shook a little startling the Motomiya boy. The plates and the glasses in the restaurant rattled until the tremor subsided.
"Was that an earthquake?" Davis' Veemon wondered walking out from behind the counter.
Veemon's question was then followed by the sound of a faint explosion outside.
Davis opened his mouth to reply, but he paused when he heard the sound of screeching tyres and car horns. "I don't think so Veemon."
"What was that?" Dan wondered.
They all ran to the entrance to the Blue Dragon, with Davis opening the door before they all stepped out onto the street. They were immediately met with people running past them in a panic.
"What's going on?" Dan's Veemon asked.
"Look, there!" Dan exclaimed pointing down the street.
Further down at the intersection there was a large four legged cyborg Digimon in the middle of the street, fully equipped with guns. He was surrounded by cars that had screeched to a halt and piled up around him.
The Digimon, Armormon X, looked around before pointing his gun at the nearest car. The driver gasped and managed to quickly scramble out and run off moments before the X Digimon fired a blast from his gun, destroying the car and clearing a path for himself.
Davis's Veemon watched for a moment, before he heard screams coming from opposite end of the street. He turned his head and saw another Armormon X was causing just as much panic. "Davis, there's another one…" he said calmly, catching his human partner's attention.
"I've counted three!" Dan's Veemon piped up, pointing to the roof of one of the buildings opposite.
"Better make that four…" Dan gulped, still staring down the street where the first Armormon X had appeared, as another one joined him amongst the wreckage of cars.
Davis looked around to where each of the Armormon X were situated. They didn't seem to be doing much. They were moving steadily and weren't destroying everything randomly; but only the obstacles that blocked their paths.
The first and fourth Armormon X left the intersection and began to make their way down the street towards them shunting whatever vehicle was in their way.
Davis quickly grabbed his son's arm and pulled him back inside the restaurant and shut the door behind them.
"What's going on Dad?" Dan asked looking up at his father.
"I have no idea…" Davis replied honestly as he pulled his cell phone out of his back pocket. "You two better get ready to digivolve." He said to the two Veemons as he began to compose a text.
.:Tokyo Tower, Minato, Tokyo:.
A shower of pink poop flew through the air and splattered against the side of Tokyo Tower with most of them sticking to the metal frame as Jewelbeemon jumped up out of the way.
The insect Digimon soared down to where last five Garbagemon X were lined up firing constant blasts from their bazookas. Jewelbeemon swooped to the left dodging two, before slicing his spear through another.
Kichi grimaced a little as she watched on as the remains of the pink poop landed on the ground near her. "What is it that stuff they are firing?" she wondered.
"You do not want to know, Mom." Jonathon replied honestly not taking his eyes off his partner.
Still flying downwards, Jewelbeemon took hold of his spear with both hands and spun it around as fast as he could in a circular motion, destroying more poops in the process. Once it had gained enough speed it unleashed a shockwave that disintegrated the rest of the oncoming attacks and consumed the five Garbagemon X, obliterating them.
"Good job Jewelbeemon." Jonathon said with a smile as his partner landed on the ground in front of him and his mother. "I don't know where they came from but I'm glad we dealt with it quickly."
Jewelbeemon remained where he was stood, staring up past Jonathon and beyond Tokyo Tower. "I don't know either Jonathon, but by the looks of it those Garbagemon X aren't just the only ones here…"
"Huh?" Jonathon, along with Kichi, turned around and looked up to where his partner had pointed his spear.
The Izumi boy had to squint as he looked up at the bright blue sky, but he could just make out a group of Pteramon X heading their way….
.:Decks Tokyo Beach, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
"You took on Myotismon on your own?" MJ gasped in awe as the girls walked out of the ice cream parlour and onto the wooden decks of the mall.
Dawn nodded. "I wasn't about to give in to him and hand over the key after he had destroyed ClavisAngemon." She protested.
"You could have been killed Dawn…" Margaret said softly.
"I know that," Dawn said. "I think I nearly gave Dad a heart attack too… but I wasn't going to let Myotismon win without a fight. He said there was something inside that chest that was very important to him. Something that would make him more powerful than MaloMyotismon so there was no way I was backing down no matter what he did to me."
Margaret glanced at her cousin, a little surprised. From what she had just told them she had definitely lived up to her crest that night, hence Agumon having reached the mega level…
As the girls and Digimon walked onto the bridge that connected the mall to the beach across the road MJ lifted her strawberry ice cream up to Patamon who was perched on top of her head before lowering it and licking it herself. "I wonder what is inside that chest." She thought aloud.
"Join the club." Dawn mumbled under her breath.
Gatomon jumped up onto the railings of the bridge and walked alongside her partner. "Obviously it was no friend of Myotismon's who sealed it away on that island and heavily guarded it. So it must be something they don't want him to have."
Dawn licked her peanut butter flavoured ice cream before leaning back against the rail of the bridge resting her elbows on it. "Dad took the chest to Mr Izumi's lab for safe keeping. Hopefully he can figure out what's inside it, or he can find out the Digimon who put it there."
"Mr Izumi knows just about everything about the Digital World. I'm sure he will." MJ added.
The girls' conversation was abruptly interrupted when a scream echoed from down the other end of the street startling them and their Digimon partners.
Margaret and MJ looked up to where the scream had come from whilst Dawn jumped up straight and spun round.
A few more screams were heard, and a group of people came running from around the corner of the side of the mall in a panic. A blast of blue energy rocketed out from where they had run from and struck the trees on the opposite side of the road, smashing them to pieces, and barely missing the fleeing pedestrians.
Margaret and MJ both gasped in shock, as three large skeletal Digimon stomped into their view. "Look!" the Takaishi girl cried out.
The three ultimate Digimon came to a stop at the end of the street and roared menacingly, causing even more panic amongst the public.
Patamon jumped off of MJ's head and flapped his ears hovering just beside her. "Where have those three come from?"
Dawn quickly unclipped her digivice and allowed the X Digimon's data to upload on her screen. "SkullBaluchimon X… Ultimate level…" she said before looking up.
One of the SkullBaluchimon X turned his head in their direction, and immediately spotted them stood in the middle of the bridge above the road. He snarled before opening his mouth and firing a single blast of ice blue energy.
"Look out!" Dawn cried out as she shoved Margaret and MJ to the ground causing them to drop their ice creams. Patamon swooped down and Gatomon threw herself off the railings, landing on the ground beside her partner.
The blast soared over their heads, missing the bridge but carried on through the air until it struck the edge of one of the taller buildings in the distance.
Dawn got up, resting on her knees and turned to see the faint smoke emitting from the side of the building before looking back at the Digimon. Three ultimate Digimon, especially X Digimon, were going to be a little tough for just MJ and Margaret to handle. They were going to need Agumon as well.
Margaret, a little shaken from the sudden attack, pushed herself up. "What are they doing here?"
"No doubt they were sent by Myotismon. You guys hold them off, I'm going back to get Agumon." Dawn announced before she jumped to her feet and bolted across the bridge. She ran along the side of the mall and down the steps taking her back down to the sidewalk. As she reached the bottom she heard Patamon and Gatomon digivolving into their ultimate forms.
Dawn sprinted across the road and onto the sidewalk opposite; failing to notice three SkullScorpiomon X's further down that were heading in their direction…
Hippogriffomon soared straight towards the three SkullBaluchimon X. "Heat Wave!" he immediately attacked unleashing his high temperature wind.
The three X Digimon flinched as the wind struck them, but it did no damage. They growled in unison before one of them lunged at Hippogriffomon and swiped his claw, knocking MJ's Digimon to the ground.
It was Kazemon's turn next as she flew up. "Hurricane Wave!" she threw her right hand forward, and then her left, releasing thin tornadoes from her fingertips.
The tornadoes struck their targets, but they merely fizzled out upon impact on the X Digimon's' tough skeletal body.
The second SkullBaluchimon X opened his mouth and fired a ball of blue energy. It struck Kazemon in the chest, knocking her back a few feet in the air.
"Grave Bone!" the third SkullBaluchimon X charged before leaping up and pouncing upon Hippogriffomon. He attempted to trample his large feet on MJ's partner burying him underground, but Hippogriffomon was too quick and managed to throw himself out of the way; resulting in SkullBaluchimon X pounding his feet into the ground causing a small crater in the road.
MJ and Margaret had now made their way off the bridge and down onto the sidewalk. They came to a stop at the foot of the steps; keeping a safe distance from the battle.
"These Digimon look tough. I'm not sure how long Hippogriffomon and Kazemon can hold them for." MJ admitted.
Margaret stood next to the Takaishi girl, watching as her partner dealt a karate kick to one of the SkullBaluchimon X's, although it barely made an impact. Just then, she heard something from behind them. Turning around, the young Kimura girl gasped and grabbed hold of MJ's arm. "MJ…." She said her voice a little shaky.
"Huh?" MJ turned her head, only to turn her whole body in awe when she saw the three SkullScorpiomon X's approaching them. She, along with Margaret, began to back up slowly; stuck between the six X Digimon either side of them…
.:Searea Apartment Complexes, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
The door to the apartment building lobby swung open and Dawn ran out, almost knocking over a couple who were about to enter. But before the young man and woman could attempt again to walk inside, Agumon came running out, who was then closely followed by Biyomon who flew out; both not wearing any disguises.
The couple just stared in complete surprise at the two creatures that had just passed them…
"Dawn, what were you doing at the mall? I thought you said-"
"I know, I know!" Dawn interrupted her mother's Digimon. "I'll explain later. Right now Margaret and MJ need our help!"
As they reached the end of the path that brought them to the sidewalk, a group of shadows passed by overhead causing them to stop. Dawn, Agumon and Biyomon looked up to see four Reptiledramon X flying above the buildings and out towards the bay.
"Look, more Digimon!" Dawn exclaimed.
Their attention was soon shifted when the sound of screeching tyres and car horns were heard. Looking to their right, they were met with the sight of a small army of Mekanorimon X marching across the intersection a few hundred yards up the street.
"What's going on? Where are all these X Digimon coming from?" Agumon exclaimed.
Biyomon hovered beside Dawn, flapping her wings. "It'll be Myotismon. He'll be looking for the chest."
Dawn turned to her mother's partner. "Does he seriously think sending his army of cronies is going to help him get that chest?"
"Don't you know Myotismon at all?" Biyomon shot back. "He'll destroy the entire city if he has to-"
Suddenly, a blue fireball flew out of nowhere and struck Biyomon from behind. She screamed as the attack took her by surprise and she was thrown straight across the street before she struck a tree at the edge of the sidewalk, falling limp onto the ground.
"Biyomon!" Dawn and Agumon sprinted across the street and knelt down either side of her. "Biyomon, are you okay?" the Kamiya girl asked.
Biyomon cringed, pushing herself up. "I'm alright…" she managed to say. She looked up and over to the other side to see who her attacker was.
A pair of red eyes were staring right back at them from within the darkness underneath one of the archways of the apartment building. The eyes moved upwards, as the owner of them had been knelt down and was now standing up. The figure took one step forward, stepping out onto the sidewalk and revealing himself in the daylight.
Biyomon gasped. "SkullMeramon..."
SkullMeramon X moved, walking out into the middle of the street, startling a few people that had been walking along the sidewalk. "DigiDestined…" he grunted, his eyes still fixed on the Kamiya girl and the two rookie Digimon. "Craniamon will be pleased I have managed to find you already…"
"Huh? Who's Craniamon?" Dawn thought aloud, still knelt down beside her mother's Digimon.
"Metal Fireball!" SkullMeramon X opened his mouth and spat out a single ball of melted metal.
"Move!" Dawn quickly shoved Biyomon and Agumon to the right and out of the way of the oncoming attack, which struck the tree behind them; blasting it to pieces.
SkullMeramon X remained stood in the middle of the street, unknowingly blocking their path to Margaret and MJ.
Dawn, Agumon and Biyomon were also stood in the middle of the street roughly a hundred yards directly opposite him. "Time to digivolve Agumon and show this lump of scrap metal what we're made of." She said confidently. She swiftly released her Digital Ring and placed it inside her crest…. But nothing happened. "Huh?" she looked down at her partner.
"… I haven't eaten anything this morning…. My energy levels are too low." Agumon admitted meekly.
Both Dawn and Biyomon gasped. "Are you kidding me Agumon?!" the ten-year-old exclaimed.
"Chain of Pain!" SkullMeramon X took advantage of their hesitation and flung one of his chains at them like a whip.
Dawn, Agumon and Biyomon darted across the street, dodging the attack, and back onto the sidewalk, reaching the corner of the intersection. "Nice timing Agumon. The one day you decide to skip breakfast Myotismon sends an invasion!"
"Hey I didn't have time to have anything to eat as you literally dragged me off the bed and out of the door!" Agumon protested.
SkullMeramon X took a giant leap up in the air passing over a couple of parked cars before landing right on the corner of the sidewalk directly behind Dawn and the two rookies, making them jump. He landed on the ground with such force his feet dented the ground, breaking it apart. "Metal Fireball!" he immediately attacked, causing them to run, and fly, as fast as they could down the next street; heading further away from Margaret and MJ…
"I wouldn't have to had to drag you if you had gotten up earlier!" Dawn shot back as they ran, passing underneath the archways of the building that housed the local stores.
SkullMeramon X continued to give chase, stomping his way under the archways. He continued to throw the chains in his left and right hands one after the other; each time missing their intending targets, but causing damage to the stores and the pillars of the archway.
"This is no time to fight you two!" Biyomon said sternly as she flew just behind them. "Right now we need to concentrate on out-running SkullMeramon X if we can't fight him!"
The three of them reached the end of the sidewalk and immediately ran out onto the pedestrian crossing without looking just as a van was approaching. The driver gasped in fright and slammed his breaks on, coming to a sudden halt on top of the crossing and just missing them.
"Hey watch it kid!" the driver exclaimed irritably to Dawn who was now stood in the middle of the crossing. But his expression soon changed when he noticed Agumon and Biyomon stood either side of her. Before he could speak, the ground shook once causing him to jump. He turned and looked out of his passenger side window to see SkullMeramon X was standing right next to his truck. The driver froze, wide eyed and speechless at first. "W….. wh… what is that thing?!" he shrieked once he had found his voice.
SkullMeramon X growled in frustration at the obstacle now in his way. "Metal Fireball!" he spat out his ball of melted metal from his mouth, destroying the back end of the truck and setting it alight with blue flames.
The driver screamed in fright and leapt out of his cab as quickly as he could before he ran down the street in sheer panic.
SkullMeramon X then swung the chain in his right hand with such force it swatted the truck out of his way as if it was merely a fly. The truck struck a couple of parked cars before coming to a rest in the middle of the street. The Ultimate Digimon growled before turning his attention back to where Dawn, Agumon and Biyomon had been stood; only to see they had now vanished.
He gritted his teeth, snarling in frustration. He looked around the intersection. Cars had come to a stop, and people were fleeing the area. Looking down each street he saw no sign of them. He let out a frustrated roar before swinging his body around, as well as his chain in his right hand and flung it at the traffic signal post at the side of the highway. The post fell over into the middle of the lane before SkullMeramon X stamped on the lights, crushing them. "You can run DigiDestined but you can't hide." He grunted before leaving the area.
Dawn appeared, peering out from a small side alleyway further down the street. She watched as SkullMeramon X disappeared from view. "Okay, he's gone. Let's go." She said about to set off.
"Wait," Biyomon began, reaching forward and grabbing the young girl's arm. "SkullMeramon X will be patrolling that area. We can't risk running into him again if we can't defend ourselves."
Dawn turned around to face the pink Digimon as she let go of her arm. "But Margaret and MJ need our help. They can't fight those X Digimon alone."
"I'm sure they'll be fine." Biyomon reassured. "Right now we need to find some place safe. Agumon can't digivolve right now so we wouldn't be much help to them anyway. We need to find some food, build up our strength before we even think about taking on any of these Digimon."
Dawn sighed and turned her head to look out of the alleyway again. The usual busy intersection was quiet with cars abandoned in the middle, and she could just see the Mekanorimon X disappearing down another street. She clenched her fists a little, knowing that Digimon were roaming freely through the streets and she and Agumon couldn't do anything about it. She just hoped Margaret and MJ were doing okay…
.:Decks Tokyo Beach, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
Margaret and MJ backed up until the backs were against the wall of the building, their Digimon partners stood protectively in front of them as the three SkullBaluchimon X and the three SkullScorpiomon X moved in closer.
Hippogriffomon growled. "Heat Wave!" he unleashed his high temperature wind like a shockwave that spread out away from them engulfing the six X Digimon. But the attack passed by them like a breeze, not even make them flinch. "Heat Wave!" he tried in vain again, only for the same to happen.
"Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon threw her long thin tornados from her fingertips in an attempt to halt them. But like before, they merely broke against the hard skeletal bodies. "It's no use… our attacks aren't making an impact."
"Where's Dawn and Agumon?" Hippogriffomon grunted.
"I don't know…" Margaret gulped, holding onto MJ. "She should have been back by now."
As the six Digimon grew even closer, one of the SkullScorpiomon X stepped forward from the rest; about to attack.
Hippogriffomon and Kazemon moved closer together, protecting their partners whilst Margaret and MJ flinched, holding each other; waiting for the attack to hit them all.
"Heavens Charm!"
A blinding light filled the street, washing over the X Digimon. They all froze, wailing as their bodies were paralyzed. One by one they each toppled over to the ground motionless but still awake.
Upon hearing Angewomon's attack, MJ and Margaret both had opened their eyes to see the angel Digimon above them, and then looked down the street to see their parents. "Mom!" "Dad!" they both exclaimed in delight.
TK and Kari ran up to their daughters. "Are you girls alright?" the blonde haired man asked once they had reached them.
MJ nodded smiling. "We are now."
"How did you know we were in trouble?" Margaret asked.
"There are Digimon appearing throughout the city." Her mother replied. "It's all over the news."
"My Heavens Charms won't keep these Digimon down for long," Angewomon spoke up. "We better dispose of them as quickly as possible. We have a lot of work ahead of us."
MagnaAngemon flew over the DigiDestined and floated just above the fallen X Digimon. "Let's send these Digimon back to the afterlife…" he said. "Gate of Destiny!" He formed his circular door with his pink blade on his right arm. The golden gate opened up, revealing the subspace on the other side. It immediately began to suck in the SkullBaluchimon X and SkullScorpiomon X who had no control to fight against it.
Suddenly out of nowhere, a bolt of lightning thundered down from above and struck the road, blasting a huge hole in it yards from TK, Kari and their children, and destroying MagnaAngemon's gate before it had chance to swallow up the remaining two X Digimon. The bearers of Hope and Light both grabbed their daughters protectively as a huge dust cloud filled the air.
"So," a voice bellowed down. "You must be the DigiDestined…"
TK and Kari both stood up straight, still holding their daughters close as they looked up to see a large figure hovering in the air above the remaining SkullBaluchimon X and SkullScorpiomon X through the smoke.
The smoke cleared, revealing Craniamon. He chuckled as he held his Duo Solar Spear in both hands and looked down upon the four humans and their four partners. "It must be my lucky day."
.:Minato, Tokyo:.
"Horn Buster!" MegaKabuterimon fired a blast of lightning from his horn, obliterating four Boarmon X that had been stampeding down the street. Two more came charging from behind him, but MegaKabuterimon calmly turned around and slashed at both of them with his claws.
Tai and Izzy came running round the corner onto the main street, having come from Izzy's lab just a few minutes' walk away. "Jonathon says there are Digimon over by Tokyo Tower." Izzy told Tai as he read the email he had just received from his son.
WarGreymon dropped down from the air into the middle of the street next to MegaKabuterimon. "Mega Claw!" he lunged forward and sliced his way through three Tankdramon X that were heading towards them from the opposite end of the road. Once he had destroyed the third, he skidded to a halt and turned to see two more Tankdramon X down another street.
"Blast Gatling!" The two Tankdramon X unleashed a round of 3600 bullets all in one second as soon as they spotted the mega Digimon.
WarGreymon jumped up into the air. "Terra Force!" He formed his gigantic sphere or energy in the palm of his hands and released it down upon the two X Digimon. It thundered down and struck them head on, engulfing them and reducing them both to data.
Izzy walked up to Tai from behind, still holding his laptop open. "Tai, look at this," he began, moving his laptop a little so Tai could see the screen. A window was open on a popular social media website. "It's not just here and Tokyo Tower…. People are posting images of Digimon all over the city." He said, scrolling through the posts.
"What?" Tai watched as each photo passed by on the screen.
There were Blossomon X invading Toritsu Shiokaze Park, Dobermon X prowling through Palette Town, WaruSeadramon X in Tokyo Bay and Thunderbirdmon X at the Telecom Centre; which were to name a few.
"Izzy, why hasn't your DDS picked all these Digimon signals up?" Tai demanded.
"I... I don't know..." the Izumi man replied a little stumped. "It… It should be working. There was no indication of any viruses or malfunctions with the software. I don't understand it…"
"We'll worry about that later," MegaKabuterimon spoke up. "Right now let's use the social media to track down all the Digimon in the city as quickly as possible."
"He's right Izzy." Tai added. "We've got locations on them so we need to contact everyone and deal with these Digimon before they cause too much damage."
"I'll bring up a map and pinpoint locations confirmed." Izzy said. He split his screen into two and began to go through the photos people had been posting and marking the locations on the map on the opposite side of the screen. "If we deal with the Digimon we know about we will be able to patrol other areas where Digimon might be undetected. I'll also send an email to Haruhiko and Jim to start working on fixing the DDS."
"Better send a message to Ken and Yolei. There are some BlueMeramon X near Tamachi Station." Tai added, pointing to one of the posts.
As the two men continued to look at the laptop screen, they failed to notice one Boarmon X who had survived. The X Digimon snuck up on them and stood up on his hind legs, preparing to trample them…
"Tai, look out!" WarGreymon spotted him and quickly leapt forward. He lunged at Boarmon X as Tai and Izzy both ran out of the way. "Mega Claw!" With one swift motion he swiped his claws through the body of the X Digimon, destroying him instantly.
"Thanks WarGreymon." Izzy said with a sigh of relief, clutching his laptop as the mega Digimon landed back on the ground and turned to face them.
"Don't mention it," WarGreymon replied. "So, where's our next stop?"
Just then, someone chuckled from above them in the sky catching their attention. "Very impressive I must say."
Tai, Izzy and their Digimon all looked up to see a dark Digimon descend down a little towards them, holding a twin spear. He came to a stop hovering a few feet above the ground. "Who are you?" the bearer of Courage demanded.
AxeKnightmon chuckled again as he eyed the two DigiDestined in front of him. "I am AxeKnightmon…" He announced. "One of the Nightmare Six."
