Digimon 2.5 "Adventure 03"

Episode 46: "Big Trouble in Tokyo Part 2"

.:Times Square, Manhattan, New York:.

Sora sipped her takeout coffee as she made her way along the sidewalk. It had been a long and busy day and she was glad to be heading back to her hotel, which was in the Times Square area.

She had to admit Times Square was rather beautiful at night with all the various coloured lights and flashing signs. Even approaching nine thirty it was still busy with cars and people.

As she approached a television store, she noticed there was a small crowd of people watching whatever was on the screens in the windows. Thinking nothing of it, she carried on walking.

"Look at that. It's like something out of a movie."

"Those monsters sure look real!"

Sora stopped as she caught a couple of their comments, specifically at the mention of 'monsters'. She paused from taking a sip of her coffee and lowered her cup, turning to look at the store.

The screens were all on the same American news channel. She hoped she wasn't going to see they were reporting on Digimon appearing in America, which would have been a long shot if there were. But the channel was currently in the middle of its world news section, and what she saw was worse once she caught a glimpse of one of the smaller screens in the top corner of the window…

There was video footage of Tokyo, specifically the Odaiba and Minato region with the headline at the bottom of the screen 'Monsters Invade Tokyo'. Image after image of Digimon in various locations flashed up on the screen.

Sora gasped and dropped her coffee, the contents spilling out onto the sidewalk…

.:Minato, Tokyo:.

Tai and Izzy both stared up at the Dark Knight Digimon hovering just in front of them. "AxeKnightmon…" The bearer of Courage muttered under his breath.

"One of the Nightmare Six… they're here already…?" Izzy murmured in awe, still holding his laptop.

WarGreymon appeared from the right, standing protectively in front of the two men. "So you're one of the Digimon Myotismon has freed from underneath the Net Ocean?"

"He did not 'free' us," AxeKnightmon began abruptly. "He needed our help and we answered his call. We've heard all about you DigiDestined. How you've plagued our lord for years and interfered with his plans. That's why we are here to finally put a stop to your meddling."

Tai scoffed a laugh. "You've known Myotismon for no longer than a day and you're already calling him your lord? You've got a lot to learn about him you know. We protect the Digital World from cruel Digimon like him."

"It is you, DigiDestined, who have a lot to learn about our lord. There is much more to him than you know." AxeKnightmon shot back.

"We know he's an annoyingly persistent Digimon who doesn't know when to quit." MegaKabuterimon spoke up.

WarGreymon raised his claws. "And if Myotismon thinks he's going to win this time by gaining six new 'friends' I'm afraid he's very much mistaken…" the mega Digimon leapt up without warning and lunged forward swiping his right claw at the Dark Knight Digimon.

AxeKnightmon swiftly flew up out of the way causing WarGreymon to strike air. He then quickly dropped down so he was now behind the dragon Digimon. "Twin Spear!" He grasped his spear in both hands and thrust it down into WarGreymon's back.

It stunned WarGreymon and he was thrown face down into the middle of the street…

"Horn Buster!" MegaKabuterimon rose off the ground and fired a single but strong blast of lightning from his horn.

AxeKnightmon turned around so he was facing the oncoming attack. He raised his Twin Spear and spun it as fast as he could so it formed a circular barrier. The lightning attack struck the force field and broke up upon impact.

WarGreymon grunted as he rose to his feet, turning around so he was now looking up at the back of AxeKnightmon.

AxeKnightmon lowered his spear and his barrier vanished. "I wouldn't waste your strength," he told them. "We have heard of your past victories… the Dark Masters… Apocalymon... but I'm afraid this is one battle you're not going to win."

"We'll just see about that!" WarGreymon snapped. He jumped up yet again at another attempt to strike a blow at the dark Digimon. He withdrew his claw and thrust it forward, but AxeKnightmon simply moved out of the way. WarGreymon didn't give up and tried again and again throwing himself in the direction of AxeKnightmon who kept on dodging them. Growing frustrated, WarGreymon spun round to where he was now just above the ground. "Terra Force!" he formed his large sphere of energy in his hands and unleashed it down towards AxeKnightmon.

The Dark Digimon simply smiled before disappearing seemingly in the blink of an eye. The Terra Force attack exploded into the ground, filling the area with smoke...

Once it had cleared, Tai looked on at the huge hole now smouldering in the middle of the street. He turned to glare up at his partner, about to scold him for his poor aim, but stopped and gasped when AxeKnightmon suddenly appeared behind him. "WarGreymon look out!"

WarGreymon turned just as AxeKnightmon stretched his right arm out and grabbed him by the neck.

With one swift move, AxeKnightmon spun his body around and threw WarGreymon down straight into MegaKabuterimon; both of them falling into a heap on the ground. He then pointed his spear down and fired a single blast of energy from the tip.

The attack struck both Digimon and they were engulfed in a cloud of smoke.

"WarGreymon!" "MegaKabuterimon!" Both Tai and Izzy cried out in unison. As the smoke cleared, they saw their partners, now reverted back to their rookie forms, lying motionless a few feet away from them.

Agumon opened his eyes slowly and cringed as he pushed himself up off the ground. "He's strong Tai…"

AxeKnightmon chuckled in response as Tai and Izzy hurried over to their Digimon and knelt down beside them. "That was only a mere fraction of my power. If it was down to me your pathetic Digimon would have been nothing but data fragments before they hit the ground. Fortunately for you I must obey my lord's wishes."

Tai glared up at the member of the Nightmare Six as he rose to his feet. "A strong Digimon like yourself and you're confined to taking orders from that fang face?"

AxeKnightmon snarled, narrowing his eyes and tightened his grip on his twin spear. "Do not test me. I am not a patient Digimon and if you do not cooperate with me then I will be forced to take matters into my own hands." He declared, thrusting his spear down so it was pointing directly at them.

But as he was speaking, Tai and Izzy's attention was drawn away from him and to the gigantic pumpkin that had suddenly appeared directly above AxeKnightmon's head…

"I'm sure my lord won't mind if only a couple don't make it…"

It hovered there for a brief moment, and when AxeKnightmon had finished talking, it fell.

AxeKnightmon was stunned as everything suddenly went black as the pumpkin consumed his head. "W-what?!" he bellowed, his voice echoing from inside the giant fruit. "What's going on?!" Growing instantly frustrated, he raised his Twin Spear and with two swift and skilful movements he sliced the blades splitting the pumpkin into three pieces.

It fell limply off his head, landing on the ground just below his feet.

AxeKnightmon growled as he looked down at the destroyed pumpkin, wondering for a brief moment where it had come from. "You think you can get one over m-" he looked over to where the DigiDestined had been stood, only to see they had now vanished. He looked around, but there was no sign of them in the empty street. The Dark Knight Digimon straightened his body, tightening his grip on his spear. "Until we meet again, DigiDestined." He muttered spitefully under his breath before he turned and flew up above the buildings…

Not too far away down one of the narrow dark alleys deep in between the buildings, Tai and Agumon peered out from behind a large dumpster just catching a glimpse of AxeKnightmon between a gap in the buildings as he flew off in the opposite direction.

"He's gone." Tai said as he stood up and stepped out into the middle of the alleyway, followed by Agumon.

Izzy and Tentomon also emerged from behind the dumpster, with the bearer of Knowledge cradling his laptop under his right arm. "That was close." He commented before he turned to look behind him. "We definitely owe you two one."

Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon stepped into view, both smiling. "Don't mention it." The latter replied.

"Yeah. You guys kept us safe here so it's the least we could do." Pumpkinmon added.

"How did you manage that stunt when he anticipated every attack I threw at him?" Agumon asked them, specifically Pumpkinmon.

Pumpkinmon grinned proudly. "You gotta be sneaky. I'm the king of tricks so that was a piece of cake for me."

"Who was that Digimon anyway?" Gotsumon asked.

"AxeKnightmon. He's one of six Digimon Myotismon has released from underneath the Net Ocean." Tentomon explained. "He seem to have persuaded them to join him."

Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon both tensed up at the mention of their former master's name. "Myotismon?" Gotsumon gulped. "He's here too?"

"To be honest I don't know, but we have to assume he is if the Nightmare Six, and his army of X Digimon are." Izzy said as he opened his laptop up again. He waited for it to load, before sighing. "My Digimon Detection Signal programme still isn't responding to any of the Digimon that are here in Tokyo."

"Well we can't hide away in this alley forever." Tai spoke up. "We're gonna have to get back to your lab and come up with a plan and tackle the Digimon we already know about through the social media sites."

"But what about the Nightmare Six?" Tentomon queried. "If AxeKnightmon is roaming free throughout the city that must mean the other five are too. The others could be in great danger."

Izzy glanced at his Digimon before looking back down at the map on his laptop screen. "We can't take them on just yet. Tai's right. We need to round everyone up and come up with a plan."

Just then, a small window popped up in the bottom right corner on his screen signalling he was receiving a video message.

"Oh its Haruhiko," Izzy said before he answered the call. "Hey Haruhiko, have you managed to figure out what's causing the DDS to malfunction?" he greeted once the image of Sora's father appeared on the screen.

"Hi Izzy. No we haven't been able to find the source of the problem yet. It's turning out to be more complicated than we thought… but I'm afraid another problem has arisen." Haruhiko began. "The Governor phoned wanting to speak to you. He didn't sound happy. You best phone him back right away."

Izzy groaned, rubbing his temple. "That's all I need…" he moaned. "I guess I should have expected he would call since his city is overrun with Digimon… thanks Haruhiko. We're on our way back now."

"More trouble?" Pumpkinmon asked after the bearer of Knowledge had ended the call.

Izzy sighed, closing his laptop, but managed a small smile. "You could say that yes."

.:Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manhattan, New York:.

Sora waited, growing a little anxious as she tried yet again to call Tai's cell phone. She was in the middle of packing and was balancing the phone against her ear using her shoulder. But after so many rings it went to voicemail. She sighed and shoved the remainder of her clothes into her suitcase.

She had already tried calling their apartment but after receiving no answer she had turned to Tai's cell. But now she was on her seventh time at trying to get hold of her husband.

After the first two calls she had started to grow a little annoyed, but now that had turned to worry. Tai usually always answered his cell. And with what she was currently watching on the news channel she was starting to fear something bad had happened.

Although what she didn't know was back home Tai had forgotten to pick up his cell phone when he had left for Izzy's lab. It was sat on the breakfast bar in the kitchen where he had left it.

Sora decided to try one last time, this time leaving a message. Having packed the last few things she zipped her suitcase up before taking hold her of phone in her right hand just as it connected to Tai's voicemail again. "Tai, please call me as soon as you get this. I'm coming home. I'm catching the next flight back to Tokyo."

.:Decks Tokyo Beach, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

"Celestial Arrow!" Angewomon produced her golden arrow, pulling it back against the bow before firing it.

"Gate of Destiny!" MagnaAngemon formed his circular gate, which this time opened up and fired a blast of light from within it.

Craniamon calmly held his Duo Solar Spear up, blocking Angewomon's arrow before he held it high above his head and swung it down slicing through MagnaAngemon's attack disabling it instantly.

Kazemon flew towards him from behind, manoeuvring her body so she could deal a powerful karate kick in his back to catch him off guard.

But Craniamon turned at the last second and swiftly grabbed hold of her ankle; her foot inches away from him. He then spun her around before letting go and throwing her into the path of Hippogriffomon.

The two Digimon crashed into a heap on the ground a few meters away from their partners. "Oh no!" MJ gasped.

"Your effects are futile." Craniamon spoke, lowering his spear. "There is no point in trying to fight a battle that you cannot win."

Margaret clutched onto her mother's arm. "Is he one of the Digimon Myotismon has released?"

Kari stared up at the dark Digimon. "I… I don't know sweetie..." she replied quietly.

TK stepped forward. "Just who are you?!" he demanded.

"I am Craniamon." The mega Digimon replied. "I am a member of the Nightmare Six. We have been sent here to fulfil the wishes of our lord. He requests your presence, and if you know what is good for you DigiDestined you will not argue and simply surrender yourselves to us."

TK gritted his teeth, clenching his fists. "We will never surrender to you, or Myotismon!" he snapped.

Craniamon narrowed his eyes a little. "Very well. If you will not come willing, then we will simply be forced to drag you there ourselves." He said before he stabbed the ground with his spear.

There was a moment of silence before the ground began to shake. The remaining two SkullBaluchimon X and SkullScorpiomon X rose to their feet, and they were soon joined by more who burst out from underneath the ground, tearing the street up.

TK and Kari gasped and backed up a little, making sure their daughters were safely behind them. They looked to their right and saw SkullMeramon X had now appeared down the sidewalk, grasping his chains in both hands.

Craniamon chuckled. "You didn't think I would arrive here with such a small army did you?" he teased as his X Digimon closed in on them. "You cannot escape… and there is nowhere to run as my fellow six are also here. Give yourselves up now and save us all the trouble."

Angewomon narrowed her eyes before she clasped her hands together. "Heavens Charm!" she spread her arms out wide, releasing her ring of light that began to fill the area.

Craniamon quickly responded by swinging his spear from right to left, unleashing a dark shockwave of energy that also filled the area and consumed Angewomon's attack. The force from the wave also hit the DigiDestined like a strong gust of wind. "That little trick of yours won't work this time." He warned her. "Now, I will only ask one more time for you to surrender. If you refuse again my army will be ordered to use force upon you."

TK looked around, as their own Digimon surrounded them protectively. The SkullBaluchimon X and SkullScorpiomon X had now lined themselves up in a half circular formation, surrounding them and blocking them in against the edge of the sidewalk.

"What do we do Dad? They've got us totally outnumbered." MJ spoke up.

TK glanced to his right again, seeing SkullMeramon X was getting closer by the second; grinning as he emphasized the chains in his hands. "… you and Margaret go. We'll take it from here."

"What?" both girls gasped in unison. "No way Dad! You can't take on these alone!" MJ exclaimed.

"Yeah, we're not leaving you both..." Margaret added.

Kari glanced at her fiancé before placing both her hands on her daughter's shoulders. "We'll be fine. You and MJ need to go. Go find the others."

TK nodded, not taking his eyes off the approaching X Digimon. "Yeah. Go find Uncle Matt. We'll hold these guys off until MetalGarurumon arrives."

Both girls hesitated before looking at each other. Margaret looked scared, whilst MJ looked unsure. The Takaishi girl didn't want to leave her father and soon to be stepmother, but she could tell by the tone of her father's voice he was serious. Also their Digimon weren't making much difference against the X Digimon, and she knew her uncle's Digimon would.

"C'mon Margret…" MJ murmured. She quickly bolted for her partner, quickly climbing onto his back before helping Margaret up.

As soon as the Kimura girl was sat behind his human partner, Hippogriffomon spread his wings and shot up into the air with Kazemon closely behind.

One of the SkullScorpiomon X raised his tail and prepared to fire a poison pierce blade from its tip directly at MJ's Digimon.

MagnaAngemon quickly intervened and using his Excalibur blade on his right arm as he tackled the X Digimon shoving into the side of him and causing him to miss his target and the poison pierce blade struck a nearby window.

A SkullBaluchimon X roared and charged forward before leaping up attempting to swipe his claws at Kazemon.

"Celestial Arrow!" Angewomon's aim was perfect as she fired her arrow straight into the ribcage of the X Digimon, puncturing his Digi Core, which in turn destroyed him instantly.

Craniamon growled. "No one is leaving!" he snapped. He was about to pursue the two children, but Angewomon and MagnaAngemon blocked his path from either side. Craniamon halted and watched from the gap between the two angel Digimon as Hippogriffomon and Kazemon flew off.

"Don't worry Dad, we'll be back with Uncle Matt in no time!" MJ called down as her Digimon carried her and MJ away from their parents and in the direction of the TV Station…

Craniamon narrowed his eyes at the now distant Hippogriffomon and Kazemon. "They won't be safe for long. As I said, I'm not the only one here. They may have managed to escape me but they will soon run into my fellow members of the Nightmare Six."

MagnaAngemon prepared his Excalibur blade on his right arm. "I wouldn't bet on that…" he said before he lunged forward about to strike his blade into the Dark Digimon…

Angewomon formed her golden arrow and pulled it back on her bow aiming it at the weak spot in Craniamon's armour…

Craniamon simply punched MagnaAngemon out of the way using the huge armour on his arm before spinning his spear into position and blocking Angewomon's arrow. "Enough games." He barked before thrusting his spear up into the air, summoning an attack…

Out of nowhere two thick bolts of lightning came thundering down from the sky and struck MagnaAngemon and Angewomon. Both Digimon screamed in pain as the electricity surged through their body and drained their energy; causing them to dedigivolve back to Patamon and Salomon.

"Patamon!" "Salomon!" TK and Kari both exclaimed in unison as they watched their partners fall to the ground motionless.

Craniamon dropped to the ground in front of the two fallen rookies and casually picked them up, holding one in each hand.

"Hey let them go!" Kari demanded, stretching her hand out in a hopeless attempt to reach her partner.

Craniamon looked from Patamon to Salomon before turning his attention to the two DigiDestined. "Such weak little Digimon… Did you really think you could stand up to a Digimon as powerful as myself?" he mocked. After receiving no answer from TK and Kari he chuckled. "I gave you your chance. But I'm afraid your time is up, and you're coming with us."

SkullMeramon X suddenly flung one of his chains forward, and it wrapped itself around Kari's outstretched arm, specifically her wrist.

"Ah!" Kari gasped and looked towards SkullMeramon X in horror as he pulled on the chain a little with a grin on his face.

Before TK had chance to react, another chain came flying towards them and wrapped itself around his wrist. "Hey let go!" the bearer of Hope demanded. He tried to unwrap the chain with his free hand but it was wrapped tight and would not budge.

Craniamon smiled as SkullMeramon X pulled on his chains, dragging the two DigiDestined closer to him against their will. "There's nothing to be afraid of," he humoured. "SkullMeramon X nor myself are going to hurt you. All our lord requests are the presence of all the DigiDestined at his castle."

TK tried again in vain to free himself, yanking at the chain before he glared up at Craniamon. "Now why don't I believe that?" he said darkly.

Craniamon chuckled. "Believe what you want DigiDestined. All will be revealed soon enough." He then glanced down to his X Digimon, tossing Patamon and Salomon down to two SkullBaluchimon X's who caught the two rookie Digimon in their mouths. "Take them away." He commanded.

SkullMeramon X took the lead, making his way down the street with TK and Kari, closely followed by the two SkullBaluchimon X's who were holding Patamon and Salomon.

The remainder of the X Digimon stayed with Craniamon, who watched the two DigiDestined being led away for a few moments before he addressed them. "Find those other two." He ordered. "And search the remainder of the area. I'm sure there are more DigiDestined hiding out here."

.:Fuji TV Station, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

People screamed as they fled down the sidewalk that was situated at the back of the TV Station. Pursuing them was a lone Golemon X who appeared from around the corner and continued to give chase.

Mika, who had been caught up in the crowd, had been on her way to the TV Station when the X Digimon had appeared. She ran as fast as she could, but lost her balance when a man accidently shoved past her. She stumbled, and found herself at the back of the crowd as the other people carried on fleeing ahead. She supported herself with her left hand against the wall of the station as she tried to catch her breath and looked behind, gasping when she saw Golemon X was almost on top of her.

"Metal Wolf Claw!"

From above, a wave of sub-zero cold air engulfed the X Digimon freezing him solid. For a moment everything stopped and Mika watched as Golemon X suddenly broke into a dozen pieces of ice before bursting into a cloud of data…

Davis's wife looked up to see MetalGarurumon perched on one of the ledges of the station before he turned and made his way up to the rooftop jumping from ledge to ledge. "MetalGarurumon…" she murmured, a small smile on her face.

Just then there was a commotion further down the street. Car horns and screeching tires were heard and Mika spun round to see a group of Guardromon X had now appeared and were marching across the intersection. She gasped and stepped back. She watched them for a moment before turning on her heel and running up the few steps towards one of the back doors of the station and quickly disappeared inside.

Up on the rooftop Matt was stood at the edge, looking out across the city and the bay. He glanced over his shoulder as his partner reappeared landing just behind him. "There's something strange going on here…" he murmured as he turned and walked across to the other side, looking down. He soon noticed the Guardromon X down on the ground, continuing their march down the street. "Most of these Digimon aren't a threat… they're mostly champion and ultimate Digimon. Even as X Digimon they're still easy enough for us to handle."

"Perhaps they were brought here to grab our attention?" MetalGarurumon wondered.

"Well they certainly have it." His human partner replied.

"Uncle Matt!"

Matt turned around and looked up at the sound of his niece's voice and saw Hippogriffomon and Kazemon flying down towards them. "Huh? MJ? What're you doing here?" he asked.

Hippogriffomon landed on the rooftop and MJ immediately jumped off his back. "You gotta come quick!" she exclaimed as she approached her uncle. "Our parents are in danger! Craniamon, one of the Nightmare Six is here. MagnaAngemon and Angewomon are trying to hold him off now as we speak."

"What? Where are they?" Matt demanded.

"They're at Decks Tokyo Beach." Margaret replied as she climbed down from Hippogriffomon's back. "Dawn's also missing. She left to go get Agumon but she never returned."

"It seems they are here for us." Kazemon added. "Craniamon said Myotismon requests all our presence."

MetalGarurumon glanced at his partner. "I wonder what for? I highly doubt Myotismon is inviting us over for a midnight tea party." He said humorously.

Matt was about to reply, but paused when a group of five Pteramon X flew close by overhead. He watched as they continued on their course out across Tokyo Bay before returning his attention to the two girls. "MJ, you and Margaret head on downstairs to my office. Stacey is there with Gabumon and SnowAgumon. Stay there until I return okay? As long as you stay inside you should be safe."

Both girls nodded, and their Digimon partners dedigivolve back into their rookie forms.

Matt climbed onto MetalGarurumon's back before the mega Digimon ran across the roof and jumped off the edge taking flight and soaring down in the direction of Decks Tokyo Beach.

As the girls watched on, the door to the rooftop swung open catching MJ's attention.

The Takaishi girl turned to look behind to see a slightly out of breath Mika in the doorway. "Huh? Mrs Motomiya? What're you doing here?" she asked as she jogged over to meet her.

Mika, still breathing a little heavy, walked towards MJ. "I thought I saw MetalGarurumon up here."

"You did. They just left to help our parents." Margaret replied as she and their Digimon walked over.

"What's going on down there? There are Digimon everywhere!" Dan's mother exclaimed.

"It's kind of a long story…" MJ said.

"Yeah, one that we're not too sure of right now." Patamon added, perching himself on his partner's head.

"C'mon," the Takaishi girl motioned back to the door. "My uncle told us to wait in his office until he returns. We'll tell you all about it."

Mika nodded in agreement as the two girls and their Digimon walked past her heading for the door. She paused for a moment, turning to look out across the bay towards the Minato region. She just hoped her husband and son were safe where ever they were…

.:Izzy's lab, Minato, Tokyo:.

"Izumi, what on earth is going on out there?!" The Governor, Hoshu Ishikawa, demanded. He was currently on video call with the bearer of Knowledge with his image on the plasma screen on the wall. "There are Digimon on every street of my city!" he over exaggerated.

Izzy was stood in front of the screen, as the others; Tai, Agumon, Haruhiko, Jim, Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon remained in the background sat at the desks. "I know this looks bad sir, but-"

"Bad?! The whole of Tokyo has come to a standstill because of these monsters!"

"They are only in the Minato, Tamachi and Odaiba regions," Izzy calmly shot back. "This invasion is just as much of a surprise to us as it is to you Governor and I can assure you we are in the process of getting together a plan of action to deal with it. We have DigiDestined all over those areas so it's just a case of co-ordinating a strategy and dealing with the Digimon in stages."

The Governor gritted his teeth a little. "That doesn't sound like a quick solution to me Mr Izumi." He snapped. "The damage to the city could be catastrophic, not to mention people's lives are at risk!"

Izzy sighed. "You're just going to have to trust us Governor. Believe me, it won't be easy, or quick, to deal with some of these Digimon. They're not just monsters you know. They have different strengths, weaknesses, powers. Each Digimon has a different level with the highest and most powerful being-"

"I don't need the details Izumi!" Ishikawa interrupted. "I'm already getting tired of looking at them on my television screen. Perhaps it would be quicker if I agreed to the Prime Minister's suggestion and bring in armed forces to deal with these creatures."

"No, sir. I already told you that would do more harm than good!" Izzy protested.

Tai, who was supporting his weight against Haruhiko's desk, glared up at the Governor and stood up straight. "Hey, you don't understand what's going on here so why don't you just back off and let us do our job?" he shot back, earning a shocked look from his friend.

The Governor swiftly turned his attention from Izzy, looking straight past him to Tai at the back of the room. "Excuse me?" he spat, raising an eyebrow.

Tai walked up, stopping just beside Izzy. "We know what we are doing. Have you even looked at the news footage? The Digimon aren't attacking people or destroying the city. If you leave them alone they won't be provoked to attack you. We know why they are here. This fight is just between them and us."

The Governor straightened up in his chair, "And I'll have you aware I'm not in favour of allowing my city to become your battlefield!" He snapped.

"And bringing in the armed forces is going to cause less damage and casualties?" Tai added sarcastically. "Some of these Digimon are powerful. Even more powerful than your forces. If you actually listened to Izzy instead of interrupting him all the time, then you'd realise we're the only ones who can deal with this."

Haruhiko quickly rose from his seat and hurried over. He placed a hand on his son in law's shoulder and moved himself so he was stood directly in front of him. "Remember who you're talking to." He said under his breath gently in an attempt to calm Tai down.

The Governor breathed out heavily; in an attempt to calm himself down. He then turned his attention back to Izzy. "What do you suggest I do then?" he demanded.

"I'd propose releasing a statement suggesting people should stay indoors. The less people about the less likely they will get hurt." Haruhiko cut in.

Izzy nodded in agreement. "I'll admit there will be some damage to the city when we fight some of these Digimon. But we will try our best to keep it at a minimal. So like Haruhiko said, it would be best if people stayed indoors or evacuate the area if they prefer."

The Governor gritted his teeth reluctantly. "Very well. I will leave you to deal with this, but under one condition." He warned. "I want all portals to that Digital World closed until further notice. I don't want any more of these Digimon arriving here."

"What? Governor, the portals being open won't make the slightest bit of difference. There are still Digital Splits all over the city where the Digimon can freely pass through from the Digital World-"

"I don't care!" The Governor interrupted. "Anything that can be done to reduce the chance of more Digimon arriving here I want done. Close the portals; that's an order." He then ended the call and the screen went blank.

"Well that guy has an anger problem…" Pumpkinmon's voice chirped up from the back of the room breaking the silence that had followed the Governor ending his call.

Izzy turned around and smiled a little. "Let's not worry about him now. We've got a much bigger problem on our hands." He walked over to his computer desk. He then sighed reluctantly and turned to Joe's brother. "Jim… close all the portals."

Jim slowly nodded and logged into the programme, closing all the open portals across the Digital World; each one turning to red on the map…

.:Tokyo Bay, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

Dianamon gazed out across the vast stretch of water, floating in the air above the bay where the water met the sand. She watched as a couple of boats sailed by, oblivious to her WaruSeadramon X and Plesiomon X that were lurking in the water below. She then looked across to Rainbow Bridge where her Gargoylemon X were perched on top of the suspension cables.

With the promise of the DigiDestined being lured to them with their X Digimon armies on the loose, she was beginning to grow a little impatient as there was still no sign of them.

Craniamon appeared, approaching her from behind from the direction of Decks Tokyo Beach. Sensing his presence, the only female member of the Nightmare Six cast a glance over her shoulder.

"I was hoping the DigiDestined would have showed their faces by now," she complained before returning her attention to the water.

Craniamon came to a stop beside her and he chuckled. "Well you're already falling behind Dianamon. I already have two of the DigiDestined on their way to our lord as we speak."

Dianamon shot him a look. "What? How did you manage that?"

The Knight Digimon simply smiled. "Those DigiDestined aren't as strong as they think they are. It was easy taking down their Digimon. Our lord will certainly be proud that I have managed to capture two of them so quickly," he bragged. "Not that's it's a competition or anything, but if you want to remind him of what you are capable of I suggest you stop admiring the scenery and start making an effort in tracking down the rest of them."

Dianamon scowled as Craniamon left, returning to the Decks Tokyo Beach area. She looked out across the water again and spotted another boat passing by underneath Rainbow Bridge and heading in her direction. "This should bring the DigiDestined to me…" she muttered to herself.

She swooped down and flew along the top of the water. She then lowered her staff as a white snow like substance emitted from one of the ends.

When it hit the water it froze it solid, creating a very thick layer of ice that was coated with a light dusting of snow.

Dianamon continued on spreading the substance over the bay until she reached the opposite side in the Minato region. She flew up, turned around and watched as the whole bay began to freeze over spreading quickly covering every inch of water.

The boat that had passed underneath Rainbow Bridge came to a stop as the ice formed around it; stranding it in the middle of the bay. The passengers inside began to panic a little, wondering where the ice had suddenly appeared from.

Dianamon smiled to herself as she watched some of the passengers appear on the deck of the boat looking around at their new surroundings. "Now we wait for the cavalry to arrive…"

.:Odaiba Park, Odaiba, Tokyo:.

TK and Kari came to a stop at the edge of Odaiba park where it met the bay; looking directly out over to the No. 6 battery island opposite. The couple both glanced at each other a little confused as SkullMeramon X stood in front of them staring out across to the island.

Behind them was SkullBaluchimon X and SkullScorpiomon X who were both still holding the unconscious Patamon and Salomon in their mouths.

Suddenly, the ice that Dianamon had created reached them at the islands. Kari jumped a little edging closer to her fiancé as they watched the water transform, crackling as it hardened.

The bearer of Light shivered a little as the air became just a little bit colder. "What's going on TK?" She gasped in a hushed tone. The ice forming across the bay had completely changed the look of Tokyo Bay.

"I have no idea…" TK replied just as quietly. He then looked up to SkullMeramon X who still hadn't moved from his position. "What are we doing here?" he demanded. "I thought you were supposed to take us to Myotismon?" he added a little mockingly.

SkullMeramon X remained quiet for a second before he slowly turned his head to look over his shoulder. "I have…" he said. He then casually stepped to one side, allowing the couple to see Myotismon stood at the edge of the no.6 battery island looking at them.

Kari gasped under her breath taking a step back.

Myotismon smiled before he leapt up into the air and flew across the now frozen bay towards Odaiba Park. "DigiDestined…" he greeted them, his smile turning to a sly grin. "You're just in time…"

TK and Kari just stared up at him, but their attention on him was soon broken when they felt the ground beneath their feet begin to shudder…

Suddenly, on the no. 6 battery island, gigantic shards of rock began to burst out from under the ground, startling the two DigiDestined, and shoot up high in the air. One by one different sizes of rock broke through until the whole island was covered and now resembled a sort of small jagged mountain.

TK and Kari watched on in awe, unaware it was Wisemon who was controlling the structure.

He produced his space time stones and using them he was able to bring parts of Myotismon's castle from Thunder Mountain to Odaiba. But as it began to form piece by piece on top of the rocks it took a very different form as Wisemon gave it a more threatening and darker look.

The stonework was black and it blended into the rocks as if it was part of them. The two main towers stood the tallest in the middle, with slight curves to them and pointed tops; almost representing horns, with a bridge connecting them to each other. The structures had elements of Grandracmon and Myotismon's features moulded into them with statues of NeoDevimon around the outsides.

The rumbling started up again as part of the ground from underneath the bay rose up. It smashed through the frozen water causing a shower of shards of ice to fly everywhere. The section of ground rose high enough to form a bridge from the no. 6 battery island to Odaiba Park.

Myotismon chuckled as the last few parts were added to his new castle. "I suspect my visit here will be a long one so I might as well make myself at home."

TK continued to glare up at him. "Just what are you planning Myotismon?!" he demanded.

The vampire Digimon smiled. "All will be revealed when I have all the DigiDestined present and accounted for. I can't have anyone missing the surprise now can I? We've been through a lot together so it would be a shame for anyone to miss it." He humoured them.

"You'll never capture all of us!" Kari shot back bravely.

"Do not underestimate the Nightmare Six," Myotismon warned. "They are six very powerful Digimon… probably the most powerful you will ever meet, and I'm delighted to have finally reunited with them."

TK tensed up. "Reunite…? You mean you've met them before?"

The vampire Digimon's smile widened as he saw the look on the couple's faces. "There is a lot to my past you don't know DigiDestined… the life I led way before we first met nearly thirty years ago…"

The two DigiDestined stared up at him. TK looked puzzled whilst Kari had a look of anxiety on her face. It was turning out there was more to their old foe than they had originally thought…

Myotismon smiled as their stunned silence amused him. "Take them inside," he ordered SkullMeramon X, motioning over his shoulder to his castle.

The X Digimon nodded. He pulled on his two chains causing TK and Kari to stumble forward before leading them onto the bridge that led to the castle.

Myotismon watched, his eyes following them as they passed by beneath him crossing the bridge. He smiled to himself. "And so it begins…"

To be continued…
