Digimon 2.5 "Adventure 03"
Episode 48: "Big Trouble in Tokyo Part 3"
.:The Blue Dragon, Minato, Tokyo:.
Cyberdramon dashed skilfully across the side of a building, swiftly followed by a round of shots fired from Armormon X's gun. The shots blasted windows to pieces and tore chunks out of the brickwork but failed to hit their intended target of Dan's Digimon.
"Vee- Laser!" ExVeemon crossed his arms before unleashing a thick laser beam from the 'X' on his chest. The laser struck the side of the Armormon X who had been attacking Cyberdramon, but only managed to knock him off balance slightly.
Armormon X turned his attention away from Cyberdramon, now pointing his gun at ExVeemon.
Davis and Dan were both stood on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant watching the on-going battle. Davis then saw another Armormon X appear in line with ExVeemon from behind. "ExVeemon! Behind you!" he hollered to his partner.
ExVeemon quickly looked over his shoulder. Both Armormon X now had their guns pointed at him and were preparing to attack…
But in surprise, the two X Digimon loaded all of the other guns on their bodies before instantly shooting at the same time. "Justice Strike!"
ExVeemon reacted quickly and immediately jumped up out of the firing line and the two attacks had nowhere to go except directly at the two Armormon X, destroying them both in a cloud of smoke.
Dan grinned. "Not the brightest Digimon are they?"
ExVeemon landed back down on the ground in the same spot he jumped from. "Two down, another two to go." He declared turning to look at his human partner.
"Justice Strike!" From nowhere just as ExVeemon turned his attention away, the third Armormon X fired his signature attack; this time hitting its target.
"ExVeemon!" Davis cried out as his partner was thrown into the air and hit the ground just in front of them. The Motomiya man grunted, clenching his fists. "This is no good. ExVeemon isn't strong enough to take these on. If Ken and Wormmon were here this would be no problem for Paildramon."
"Dad, just leave this to us," his son replied before looking up at his partner who was perched on the edge of one of the buildings. "Get em' Cyberdramon!" he ordered.
Cyberdramon nodded and jumped down, landing right in front of the third Armormon X. "Desolation Claw!" without hesitation he lunged forward, his claws glowing a dark red as they built up with energy, before he sliced through the X Digimon with ease like a hot knife through butter; leaving nothing but a cloud of data behind him. He turned around, turning his attention to the final Armormon X that had been stood on top of the roof of a building. He prepared to attack again, only to freeze. "Where is he?"
"Huh? Where did he go?" Dan wondered as he and his father looked around the empty street.
"Maybe he escaped whilst we were dealing with the other three?" ExVeemon suggested.
Just then, Davis' cell phone began to ring. He pulled it out from his pocket, quickly glancing at the caller ID before he answering it. "Hey Izzy."
"Hi Davis. You're probably aware but we have a major problem. Myotismon's invaded the city with his army of X Digimon." Izzy began to explain. He continued not giving the Motomiya man chance to reply. "But there's something I need you and Dan to do. There's a boat stuck in the bay full of passengers. I need you two to rescue them. You're the only two DigiDestined nearby."
"Sure, not a problem Izzy. We'll head straight there."
"Thanks Davis. Be careful though. The Nightmare Six are also in the city, so keep your eyes peeled for them."
Dan looked up at his father with a puzzled look as he ended his conversation with Izzy. "Had straight where? What about that other Armormon X?"
Davis put his cell phone back in his pocket. "We'll have to let him go for now. Right now there are people that need our help..."
.:Tokyo Bay, Minato, Tokyo:.
Passengers on the stranded boat were growing more and more anxious as time passed; no one knowing what had just happened. Most of them were out on the deck whilst the others had chosen to remain inside where it was warmer, as the sudden ice that had frozen the water had caused the temperature to dip slightly.
Underneath the ice, and the boat, Dianamon's army of WaruSeadramon X and Plesiomon X were swimming freely in the depths of the bay; with two WaruSeadramon X homing in on the water bus from opposite sides…
The driver of the water bus was out on the deck at the back of boat trying to reassure everyone. "Everyone please remain calm. Help will be on its way."
"Hey, what's that?!" a man in the middle of the crowd suddenly shouted out pointing up into the sky and catching everyone's attention.
The boat driver and the rest of the passengers on deck all looked up to see what he was pointing to.
In the sky just above them was Dianamon. She looked down at the people below her; smiling to herself at the attention she was now receiving…
.:Fuji TV Station, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
"In the past half an hour there have been more developments in the monster invasion that is currently plaguing parts of Tokyo,"
Stacey was sat on the small sofa in the corner of her father's office; watching the news report that was currently airing on the TV on the wall. Gabumon and SnowAgumon were sat either side of her. Margaret and MJ were sat opposite her, shifting their positions so they could see the screen whilst Mika was sat at Matt's desk using his computer to search the many news stories that were constantly being updated.
"Tokyo Bay has been completely frozen baffling scientists and authorities, although reports have come forward saying one of the monsters was responsible," the newsreader explained, as a blurred photo of Dianamon appeared on the screen. "Also on the no.6 battery island a strange mountain like structure has appeared with what appears to be some sort of castle resting amongst it. Eyewitnesses have said the mountain had shot out from the ground in a matter of minutes. Police have advised people to stay away from the island and the bay whilst the Governor of Tokyo has once again urged people to remain in doors whilst a team of specialists deal with the monster attacks."
"I bet that's Myotismon's castle." SnowAgumon commented, breaking the silence amongst the kids.
Stacey stared up at the screen, her eyes fixed on the live feed of the battery island. It definitely looked similar to Myotismon's castle from Thunder Mountain, and as she continued to stare at it all the memories of her time there began to flood back. She picked up the remote and turned the volume down, catching the attention of her cousin and Margaret.
"This isn't looking good at all," The Takaishi girl spoke. "I had no idea there were so many X Digimon throughout the city."
Stacey stood up from the sofa and headed over to the window. She stared out, looking at the frozen bay before glancing to her right, seeing Myotismon's castle in the distance by Rainbow Bridge. "Myotismon's not dumb. He knows what he's doing. We're all spread out across the city, which is what he wants. He knows as long as we're not together as a team he's got the advantage."
Margaret looked over to the blonde haired girl. "What do you mean?"
Stacey continued to stare out of the window, looking down at a group of Dobermon X that were prowling the street below. "Separated from each other there's no Omnimon, or Imperialdramon. As long as he keeps everyone apart our parents Digimon can't DNA digivolve to their strongest forms."
MJ stood up. "Hey c'mon Stacey there's no need to be negative," she said. "Just because we're not at our strongest doesn't mean we can't still fight. Our parents were separated once before when Myotismon invaded Tokyo and they managed to re-group and defeat him."
"This time I don't think it will be that easy." Gabumon said with a sigh.
Stacey nodded, briefly turning away from the window. "Myotismon didn't have the Nightmare Six thirty years ago." She added. "They're out there… somewhere in the city… and just like what happened with Craniamon as soon as we step outside and try and defend ourselves against the X Digimon… they'll attack."
.:JFK Airport, New York:.
"I'm sorry mad 'am but there are no flights to Haneda Airport. All flights have been cancelled until further notice."
"But I need to get home right away," Sora pleaded to the young assistant at the check in desk. "Isn't there anything at all?"
The assistant shook her head. "I understand your concern but due to the current… 'situation' in Tokyo all flights have been cancelled in and out of the city." She paused for a moment as she began to type on her computer. "Now, we still have flights to Osaka International Airport. We can book you in on the next flight which lea-"
"That'll add almost six hours onto my journey," Sora interrupted. "I need a flight to Haneda. You don't understand it's important that I get home."
"I'm sorry," the assistant apologised again. "But there is nothing we can do I'm afraid... The Osaka flight doesn't leave for another eight hours yet so you still have time to change your mind if you wish to fly and make your way to Tokyo from there instead. The gate closes in four hours."
Sora sighed. "Okay… thank you." She stepped away from the desk and began to head over to the seating area, taking her phone out from her bag. There were still no calls from Tai. Maybe it was time to try and call the others now that she had some time to pass… maybe Osaka was the only option if she wanted to get back to Japan… even if it would take an additionally six hours to get home plus the eight hours waiting time. Sora opened up her contact list, scrolling down until she came across Kari's number…
"Sora…?"
Sora was about to press the call button when she froze, a little surprised at who would know her by name here… She turned around to see a tall blonde haired man with blue eyes stood in front of her staring at her a little intriguingly. She stared back at him for a brief moment… "…. Willis…?"
.:Tokyo Bay, Minato, Tokyo:.
Davis and Dan ran past Athletic Park that was situated right beside Rainbow Bridge on the edge of the bay with their Digimon partners, still as ExVeemon and Cyberdramon, following closely behind. They ran right up to the edge of the pathway coming to a slow stop once they saw the full extent of the state the water was in currently in…
Dan's eyes widened a little as he looked out across the bay, stood just behind his father. It was like a scene from the middle of the Antarctic. The whole bay was frozen solid with some of the ice creeping up the structure of Rainbow Bridge. He soon spotted the water bus, stranded a good way out from the land. "So, what's the plan Dad?"
Davis didn't reply at first. His eyes were focused on the jagged mountain and Myotismon's castle on the battery island opposite. He took out his D-Terminal and opened it. "We're gonna need Flamedramon…" he said.
ExVeemon began to glow as he quickly de-digivolved back to Veemon.
Davis turned to his Digimon partner. "Veemon, use your fire to melt a pathway through the ice and over to the docks over there," he began pointing across the ice to the shipping dock opposite. "Cyberdramon, you think you're strong enough to push that boat to land?"
Cyberdramon gave a nod. "I'll give it my best shot." He replied.
Davis smiled. "Great, then let's go… Digi Armour Energise…"
"VEEMON ARMOUR DIGIVOLVE TO… FLAMEDRAMON THE FIRE OF COURAGE!"
Flamedramon and Cyberdramon both flew out across the ice towards the boat, with Davis and Dan watching from behind the safety rail at the edge. As they approached, they were soon spotted by the passengers on the water bus.
"Oh no look, more monsters!" a woman shrieked, causing some of the others to panic.
Flamedramon flew to the front of the boat, whilst Cyberdramon positioned himself at the back. The armour Digimon withdrew his right fist as it began to glow brightly. "Flame Fist!" he pumped his fist downward, shooting fireballs from it before doing the same with the left.
The fireballs struck the ice and instantly melted it; creating a hole and freeing the water underneath.
"Flame Fist!" Flamedramon repeated it, again and again, slowly beginning to create a pathway of sorts towards the docks.
Cyberdramon gathered all his strength and began to push against the back of the water bus. It didn't budge at first; but as he continued it slowly began to creep forward…
"It's… it's melting the ice…" one of the passengers said as they watched Flamedramon at work.
Another passenger looked back at Cyberdramon as they felt the boat slowly start to move. "Are these monsters… helping us?"
As Cyberdramon gained more momentum, the water bus seemed to move with more ease.
Flamedramon fired another Flame Fist into the ice as they moved closer and closer to the docks. But as the ice melted, he thought he saw something move rather quickly under the water and out of sight under the ice. "Huh…?" he paused for a moment, waiting for the water to settle a little to get a better look.
Cyberdramon looked up, seeing the armour Digimon had stopped. "What's wrong?"
Before Flamedramon could answer, two 'explosions' tore through the ice as two WaruSeadramon X burst out from underneath either side of him, roaring loudly and causing the passengers to erupt into panic on deck, whilst Davis and Dan watched from the edge of the bay.
"Flamedramon!" Cyberdramon jumped up straight and was about to charge forward to help when another WaruSeadramon X shot his tail through the ice, wrapping it around Cyberdramon's leg and dragging him down underneath the water.
"No, Cyberdramon!" Dan exclaimed. He bolted away from his father and down towards the small pier that was nearby.
"Cyberdramon!" Flamedramon gasped, but he was too attacked by one of the WaruSeadramon X who flung his tail up and swatted him like a fly. Flamedramon hit the ice hard and skidded across before coming to a stop…
"Dan! Come back!" Davis shouted after his ten-year-old son. He ran after him as the maroon haired boy jumped down onto the wooden pier and made a run for the edge.
As Dan approached the end, Cyberdramon burst out from under the ice, much to the boy's relief.
Cyberdramon flew up a little high into the sky, out of the reach of the WaruSeadramon X. He looked down to see all three were looking up at him, surrounding the boat. He also saw a Plesiomon X swimming underneath as it passed by one of the holes in the ice. "It looks like we're not alone." He commented.
Flamedramon quickly got to his feet. "We should have known this wouldn't have been easy…" he leapt up into the air. "Fire Rocket!" His whole body engulfed into an aura of fire before he launched himself down into the ice, tearing through it quickly finishing off the trail to the docks. Reaching the land, he swiftly spun himself around and landed on the edge of the docks, facing the bay. "Cyberdramon, get the boat to land whilst I distract these X Digimon. We need to these people to safety." He commanded.
Cyberdramon nodded, resuming his positon at the back of the boat…
Flamedramon jumped back up into the air. "Fire Rocket!" He surrounded himself with fire once more before he shot forward straight at the two WaruSeadramon X striking them with full force and knocking them back into the water, temporally stunning them. He quickly changed attacks, as the third WaruSeadramon X was charging towards the water bus… "Flame Fist!" the armour Digimon launched a single blast from his right fist, which struck the X Digimon in the side of the face causing him to loose balance.
Soon Cyberdramon had reached the docks and the passengers were safely, and swiftly, disembarking the water bus. Dan's Digimon guarded the water bus until the final few passengers had gotten off before he returned his attention to the X Digimon. "Now it's time for me to join in the fun," he said aloud. He noticed Flamedramon was stood on the ice with one of the WaruSeadramon X towering over him about to strike… "Desolation Claw!" he sprung forward and sliced his claws through the X Digimon, destroying him instantly.
Immediately, one of the remaining two WaruSeadramon X burst out from the water and grabbed Cyberdramon in his mouth, carrying him under the water once more.
Flamedramon was about to jump to his aid but two Plesiomon X leaped out from the water, landing on the ice in front of him; blocking his path.
Dan, who had his digivice in his hand, gulped as information of Plesiomon X appeared from his screen. "Uhh Dad, things just got a little harder… those two are mega Digimon."
Davis looked from his son and out at the two megas who were slowly closing in on his partner. They definitely needed Ken and Wormmon now…
Suddenly, WaruSeadramon X reappeared from underneath the bay, now holding Cyberdramon tightly in his tail.
"Cyberdramon!" Dan exclaimed upon seeing his partner again.
"Well, well look what we have here…" a voice chuckled from above, causing Davis and Dan to both look up to the sky. Dianamon had reappeared. She then floated down towards the edge of the docks. "You DigiDestined really will help anyone, won't you?" she commented as she looked at the now empty water bus.
Davis placed a hand on his son's shoulder, gently pushing him back a little as his eyes remained fixed her. He knew who she was. There was no doubt in his mind this was a member of the Nightmare Six.
Dianamon turned her attention away from the boat, and looked over towards the father and son. "Which is too bad because now there is no one to help you…"
.:Decks Tokyo Beach, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
The group of five Dobermon X that Stacey had seen at the station had now reached Decks Tokyo Beach. They were making their way down the street, sniffing the ground as they had picked up the scent of a Digimon…
"Metal Wolf Claw!"
Out of nowhere, a breeze of sub-zero ice showered over them from behind taking them by complete surprise. The attack froze each one of them solid before their bodies exploded into shards of data…
MetalGarurumon appeared and flew down from above and landed on the ground where the X Digimon had perished, and allowed Matt to jump off his back. He then looked around at the empty street. "There doesn't seem to be any sign of TK or Kari," he replied gruffly as his human partner also scanned the area. "Perhaps they escaped?"
Matt walked a little further ahead, noticing the damage in the road from the battle. "No," he finally said. "I don't think they have. If they had escaped they would have come to the TV Station if they had told MJ and Margaret to go there…" he had a gut feeling something had happened to his brother and soon to be sister-in-law… he just hoped it wasn't something too serious and they were okay wherever they were…
"Don't worry, Matt. We'll find them."
Matt sighed and looked down at his digivice, hoping to see the signal of his brother's, but there was nothing. He hadn't even received the signals of the X Digimon they had encountered on their journey here. "What's wrong with this thing?" he muttered to himself.
MetalGarurumon leapt up onto the bridge above that connected Decks Tokyo to the beach on the opposite side to get a better view. He looked around for any signs of TK or Kari. He then turned to look out across to the frozen bay, as the sound of a faint explosion caught his attention. Although it was quite far away, he could make out the group of Digimon that were gathered on the ice. "Hey Matt, I think we've got trouble…" he called down to his partner.
.:JFK Airport, New York:.
"Trouble back home then, huh?" Willis said, taking a sip of his coffee. "I take it you're here for the Fashion week?"
The two DigiDestined had grabbed a takeout coffee from one of the café's in the airport and were now heading back to the waiting lounge.
Sora sighed and nodded. "Yeah. Although it's not going to go down as one of my favourite trips. I was looking forward to this one, but even before I left Japan I had a horrible feeling something bad was going to happen and as soon as I leave the country; Digimon invade the city." She stopped for a moment. "I knew I should have stayed at home. Now everyone is dealing with all those X Digimon and I'm stuck on the other side of the world." She sat down on one of the chairs. "Now my only option is waiting eight hours for a flight to Osaka that will add another six hours to my original journey, and I can't get hold of Tai so I have no idea if him and Dawn are okay…"
Willis sat beside her, cradling his takeout cup in both hands. "You know as soon as I saw the Digimon on the news I was thinking about flying to Tokyo myself to lend a helping hand. I can fly you straight to Haneda airport if you like. I know it's still going to be a long flight but at least it will cut out the additional time if you were to fly to Osaka."
Sora looked up a little surprised, forgetting for a brief moment that Willis' occupation was a pilot. "But no flights are allowed in and out of Tokyo…"
The blonde haired man smiled getting to his feet. "For public airlines yes, but private planes can land at their own risk."
Sora stared up at him. "I can't ask you to do that. What about-"
"You're not asking, I'm offering," Willis cut her off still smiling. "C'mon we're DigiDestined and DigiDestined help each other. I said I was thinking of flying there myself anyway... and besides," he added with a chuckle. "I'm still in debt to you guys when you helped me save Kokomon from that virus."
Sora smiled and got to her feet, grabbing her bags and following Willis as they made their way out of the waiting lounge.
.:Tokyo Bay, Minato, Tokyo:.
"You seem to be in a very tricky situation right now." Dianamon chuckled looking from Cyberdramon who was still caught in WaruSeadramon X's tail, and then to Flamedramon.
Davis was stood protectively in front of his son. "This was a trap wasn't it… you froze the bay and stranded that boat just to lure us here."
Dianamon smiled. "Oh you are cleaver. Of course it was. I was getting a little impatient waiting for you DigiDestined to show up, and when my fellow member Craniamon told me he has already captured two of you I had to do something to get you to show your faces."
"What?" Davis gasped. "Who-"
"And now that I have you here it's time I levelled the score…" she interrupted before she raised her staff, which was a signal to the three Gargoylemon X that had been perched on top of Rainbow Bridge.
The three X Digimon spread their tattered wings and rose into the air, homing in on the father and son.
Dianamon smiled, her staff still raised above her head. "You should give up DigiDestined. My X Digimon outnumber your pathetic pets…" without warning she thrust her staff downwards, firing a single energy blast from one of the ends.
"Davis!" Flamedramon tried to bolt towards his partner, but one of the Plesiomon X swung his body around and smacked Flamedramon back with his tail.
"Look out!" Davis grabbed his son and they both ducked as Dianamon's attack sailed by over their heads.
But it immediately struck the middle of the wooden pier they had been stood on, blasting it to pieces. The force from the explosion threw the father and son off the pier and onto the ice. "Ahhh!"
Dan landed on his front, sliding to a slow stop. He pushed himself up and turned around to see his father had landed a few good yards away from him. "Dad-" the goggle boy called to his father, only to stop when he spotting one of the Gargoylemon X swooping down straight for him. "Ah!"
Davis groaned, a little dazed and sat up rubbing his head. But he soon came back to reality when he saw the Gargoylemon X almost on top of his son. "Dan!"
"Giga Missile!"
As Gargoylemon X stretched out his claws to snatch the goggle boy, his whole body froze from the shock of MetalGarurumon's missile striking him in the back, destroying him instantly.
Dianamon moved back a little in surprise. "What?"
Dan, who had flinched waiting to be grabbed, slowly opened his eyes to see MetalGarurumon fly overhead. He watched as the mega Digimon turned in the air and finished off the second Gargoylemon X with his Metal Wolf Claw attack.
Davis smiled as Matt jumped off his partner's back and landed on the ice. "Matt… perfect timing."
Matt helped the Motomiya man to his feet. "What are you doing out here?"
Dianamon chuckled to herself. "I wait for a DigiDestined and then three turn up at once."
Matt turned his attention to the female Digimon above them. "What?"
"Oh I'm sorry we haven't been introduced. I'm Dianamon, one of the Nightmare Six. I was planning on capturing your two friends here but now that you've shown up I'll take all three of you and take the lead over Craniamon."
MetalGarurumon growled. "I don't like her attitude…"
"Craniamon…?" Matt thought aloud.
Dianamon continued to grin deviously. "Yes. He's already captured two of you and was bragging about it earlier. I can't wait to see the look on his face when I tell him I managed to capture three DigiDestined all at once."
Matt gasped, his eyes widening as it suddenly dawned on him. "Oh no…"
"TK and Kari…." MetalGarurumon added in awe.
Just then the two other WaruSeadramon X leapt out of the water and onto the ice, closing in on the three DigiDestined. The two Plesiomon X who had been blocking Flamedramon turned their attention off him and also surrounded them.
Flamedramon jumped up and summersaulted in mid-air over the top of Plesiomon X and landed on both feet. He spun round so he was now facing the X Digimon taking a defensive stance in front of his human partner.
"We're trapped…" Dan said as he backed up close to his father, who draped a protective arm over his shoulder.
Cyberdramon grunted as he tried to free himself. "Dan…" he struggled with all his might but it only made WaruSeadramon X tightening his grip even more on him. "Argh…" he cringed as he felt his body being slowly crushed.
Matt glared at the X Digimon surrounding them, his fists clenched tightly. "MetalGarurumon, I'm in no mood for games. Finish them off." He commanded.
MetalGarurumon nodded and charged forward….
The two WaruSeadramon X immediately attacked in unison. "Thunder Javelin!" they attacked by firing a high voltage charge from the blades on their heads.
MetalGarurumon easily dodged them by gliding to the left and then to the right. "Metal Wolf Claw!" he opened his mouth and unleashed his sub-zero attack, destroying both aquatic Digimon. He then turned his attention to the WaruSeadramon X who was crushing Cyberdramon. In a blink of an eye he slashed his claws across his tail.
WaruSeadramon X wailed in pain, recoiling by unravelling his tail and dropping it back into the water.
Cyberdramon X fell splashing into the water and disappearing underneath. But he soon reappeared, bursting back out, seeking his revenge. "Now it's my turn… Desolation Claw!" Not giving WaruSeadramon X a chance, he tore through him.
MetalGarurumon then opened up all the secret weapons had had on his body. "Metal Wolf Claw!"
Dianamon watched in dismay as the freezing missiles left MetalGarurumon. The missiles whistled through the wind as they homed in on their targets and blasted the two Plesiomon X to pieces and fogging the air up with smoke.
Matt smiled as he saw the shocked look on her face at the quick demise of her minions. "I guess Myotismon didn't tell you how strong some of us are then, huh?"
MetalGarurumon landed back on the ice in front of his partner and glared up at Dianamon. "Now it's your turn." He threatened.
Dianamon growled, tightening her grip on her staff with both hands. "You won't beat me so easily." she muttered, casting a quick glance behind the DigiDestined.
Suddenly, a Gargoylemon X appeared behind them from above. He silently floated down and snatched Dan, grabbing the young goggle boy by the arms with his claws.
"Whoa-Hey!" Dan exclaimed as he suddenly felt himself being pulled up into the air.
"Dan!" Cyberdramon shouted, who was positioned on the opposite side of Dianamon. He leapt up and charged towards Gargoylemon X.
Dianamon quickly turned around and thrust her staff in his direction; firing a single blast of ice from one of the ends.
The blast struck Cyberdramon freezing him solid. The cold attack drained his energy and he felt himself de-digivolve back to his rookie form.
"Veemon!" Dan cried out in horror as he watched his partner fall onto the frozen bay.
Dianamon smiled and held her free hand out as Gargoylemon X reached her. The X Digimon released his grip on the Motomiya boy, allowing him to fall into her clutches as she caught him by the scruff of the back of his jumper. "Well, I was hoping to capture all three of you but by the looks of things I'll have to settle for this little one here." She said as Dan struggled to free himself.
Davis clenched his fists, as he and Flamedramon glared up at her. "Let him go!" he demanded.
MetalGarurumon growled and took one step forward…
Dianamon smirked. "Ah, ah, ah…" she warned. "You wouldn't want to attack me whilst I have your friend here… you don't want to hurt him, do you?" she continued to mock them.
Both Davis and Matt looked up at her with gritted teeth. They knew as long as Dianamon had hold of Dan their Digimon wouldn't be able to get a clear shot at her.
Their silence only humoured Dianamon more as she chuckled to herself. "And now that I have at least one of you DigiDestined I shall be returning to my lord." She grinned. She then turned her back on them and began to glide away through the air as the Gargoylemon X floated down and picked up Veemon.
"No!" Davis ran forward to a hopeless attempt to reach his son.
Dianamon came to a stop, and glanced over her shoulder still with a grin on her face. "I'll soon be back for the rest of you…" and within a flash of light, she, along with Gargoylemon X, disappeared with Dan and Veemon leaving Davis and Matt alone on the bay…
.:DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, Odaiba, Tokyo:.
ShadowSeraphimon stopped to watch as people screamed and fled from him outside of the DiverCity shopping centre as he arrived just by the giant Gundam statue. He huffed under his breath. "Look at these humans…" he thought aloud. "So small and weak… and to think our lord has struggled for years to dispose of these DigiDestined... it would be so much easier to just destroy them all."
"Now, ShadowSeraphimon you know better than to waste our strength on meaningless humans."
ShadowSeraphimon glanced over his left to see ChaosGallantmon approach him from the side, walking along the path that led to the nearby park. He scoffed. "It wouldn't take much. Have you seen these humans? They are so defenceless it would be like crushing a flower."
ChaosGallantmon stood beside him, glancing up at the tall Gundam statue to the right of them. "Yes most of these humans are weak, but as our lord told us the DigiDestined are not. Remember the plan; he wants all the DigiDestined present and accounted for so they can witness his return to power. If we go around destroying any humans we see, we may end up destroying the DigiDestined as well. Our lord wants them all brought to him alive, and as soon as he has what is inside that chest and dealt with them, then we can unleash our full power on this world."
"I'm looking forward to finally being able to test my strength after all these years," ShadowSeraphimon said with a smile. "After waiting so long in the Dark Area I was starting to get a little bored…" he added humorously.
The dark warrior Digimon also smiled. "I agree. He already has three of the DigiDestined captured, so the plan is working. The Digital World has perhaps forgotten about us, but as soon as the DigiDestined are out of the way we will soon remind them of our power." Glancing at the Gundam statue once more, ChaosGallantmon swung his balmung sword that was connected to his right arm and demolished the statue with one swing; sending it crashing down to the ground in pieces.
ShadowSeraphimon watched as ChaosGallantmon turned and left, heading down the same path he had arrived from. He looked at the fallen statue and smiled, imagining what more destruction they could cause. He too then turned and left DiverCity, heading in an opposite direction...
Once the two members of the Nightmare Six were far enough away, Dawn, Agumon and Biyomon poked their heads out from amongst the bushes that ran along the side of one of the paths where they had been hiding. The three of them stepped out onto the path, with Dawn taking particular notice to the remains of the Gundam statue.
"Aw man, I liked that statue…"
"So that's Myotismon's plan…" Agumon said. "He's sent out his army of Digimon to capture all of us."
Dawn walked over to the Gundam statue and nudged a piece of it with her foot. "No surprise Myotismon is sending others to do his dirty work for him."
"It's still daylight," Biyomon spoke up from behind her. "Myotismon is at his strongest after the sun has gone down. As soon as night falls I can guarantee he'll be out, no doubt searching for that chest."
"What do we do now?" Agumon asked, looking from Biyomon to his partner. "You heard what the Nightmare Six said, Myotismon has already captured three of the others."
Dawn continued to stare down at the remains of the statue. Having left Margaret and MJ earlier to fetch Agumon were they two of the three that had been captured…?
"We need to find somewhere safe to hide," Biyomon replied. "We can't keep wandering the streets all day, especially when you can't digivolve Agumon."
"All I need is a good meal." The little rookie protested.
Dawn stood up straight. "Okay let's go and find some food. We got lucky then but sooner or later one of the Nightmare Six is going to-" she stopped mid-sentence as she turned around to look back at her partner and mother's Digimon looking past them…
Biyomon and Agumon looked puzzled as to what she was staring at and both of them turned around, only to gasp when they saw a lone Dobermon X had snuck up on them from the direction of the park…
Dobermon X snarled showing his teeth and began to approach Dawn and the two rookie Digimon.
Biyomon backed up, stretching her wing out protectively in front of Dawn and Agumon as the X Digimon got closer…
"Frozen Fury!"
An ice cold air attack struck Dobermon X from the side, completely stunning him. His body slowly turned a light blue as the ice spread before he exploded into a pieces of data.
"Huh?" Dawn looked to her right where the attack had come from and saw IceLeomon stood there at the edge of the pathway. He stepped to one side, revealing Stacey who had been stood behind him. "Stacey…"
Stacey gave a small nod, before she motioned them to come over. "C'mon. Margaret and MJ are back at the TV Station. They've been worried about you."
.:Native Forest, File Island, Digital World:.
Leomon appeared from within the depths of the forest and stepped out into a small clearing. He made his way over to the entrance of a small cave. He stopped just before it and paused; closing his eyes and listening for any sounds that would indicate he was being followed. Satisfied he was alone, he quickly headed inside.
The cave was deceiving from the outside. The entrance was long and led Leomon deep into the hill it was situated under. He carried on, not fazed by the darkness that soon surrounded him. But after a few moments, he caught a glimpse of a small light up ahead.
The light was a small fire, lit by one of the occupants that surrounded it where the cave opened up a bit wider.
Leomon smiled once he arrived and joined the group, stepping into the light. "I'm glad to see most of you have come. Thank you."
Around the fire were Frigimon, Meramon, Wizardmon, Elecmon, Unimon, Monzaemon, Andromon, Piximon, and stood near the back half hidden in the darkness was Orgemon.
Leomon caught a glimpse of his old foe at the back of the group. "I'm especially glad to see you here too Orgemon…" he added.
"Yeah, well don't be," Orgemon replied gruffly. "I just didn't have anything better to do."
"So, are you going to tell us what we are all here for?" Elecmon asked. "I have baby Digimon to get back to you know."
Leomon nodded in response. "As most of you already know, Centarumon is the latest Digimon to fall at the hands of Myotismon's return. Not to mention Whamon was also attacked, but he managed to escape to the human world where the DigiDestined are keeping him safe."
"The DigiDestined are doing their best in this battle against Myotismon but Leomon thinks they could use some help." Wizardmon added.
"Help? You mean from us?" Meramon asked, a little surprised.
Leomon nodded. "Yes. I think we owe it to them. They've saved this world and many of our friends in the past, and now it feels as if we are just sitting back whilst the DigiDestined are again risking their lives for us. It's about time we stood up and defended our world."
A few of the Digimon glanced at each other a little unsure until Unimon spoke up. "We did help them in their final battle with Piedmon and his army of Vilemon…"
Monzaemon hesitated for a moment. "But everyone knows Myotismon is stronger now, and has a more powerful army…"
"Yeah, do you really think we can make a difference in this fight?" Orgemon spoke up from the back. "We'd all be Digi Eggs back in Primary Village if we tried to fight his army."
"Of course I do," Leomon replied. "We all have different strengths. We may not all be mega level Digimon but we can still help, whether our part is big or small." He paused and took a moment to look around each of the Digimon. Some were unsure, whilst a few he couldn't tell what they were thinking. "All I'm asking for is your help. I'm not forcing you to come. I'll be offering my help whether I am alone or have your support."
The group glanced at each other and murmured amongst themselves for a few moments until Frigimon stepped forward. "I'm in."
"Me too." Unimon nodded.
"Me three, yup, yup!" Piximon added, who was eventually followed by the rest of the group opting in to offer their help.
Elecmon looked down at the ground a little sheepishly. "I uhh... I have my babies to take care of. I can't leave in case anything happens to them."
"I understand." Leomon responded with a nod.
Just then, Wizardmon's ear twitched as he heard the sound of a stone being kicked. He turned around and looked behind to see the familiar figure of BlackWarGreymon heading towards them in the darkness. "BlackWarGreymon," he greeted, catching everyone else's attention.
"Myotismon has left his base…" the mega Digimon announced as he stepped into the light of the fire next to Leomon.
"What?" Leomon demanded.
"He has gone to the human world, and he wasn't travelling alone." BlackWarGreymon said. "I suspect the DigiDestined are now in danger."
"Oh well," Orgemon chirped up. "Looks like your plan has backfired Leomon. There's no way we can get to the human world." He said, earning a look from BlackWarGreymon.
"Actually," Unimon spoke up. "I know a place where we can get there…"
BlackWarGreymon turned his attention to the group. "You do know the risks are far greater in the human world." He said, causing a few of the Digimon to look a little uneasy; but none of them backed out.
"But it's a risk the DigiDestineds' Digimon take every day. If they are brave enough, then so am I." Leomon said.
Wizardmon nodded in agreement. "If everyone is ready, then let's move out. Unimon, you lead the way. If the DigiDestined are in danger, then we need to get to their world pronto."
To be continued…
