Edward is working from home today, he is worried about security and also there is some business rival giving him problems. I heard Sue talking to him today. All I got to know from it is that Sue knows that rival too. He is some family friend. She thinks he is a nice person but just don't like Edward. I don't understand what is not to like in him. Every one is busy in their work since the morning so I also decided to get busy with my homework Emmett gave me.

"Hello….mam" I startled and saw Jessica standing behind me. Her voice was soft as she greeted me but she put extra meaning behind the 'mam' word. I want to tell her she doesn't need to call me mam but I know I am not her favorite person she will hate me more if I give her instructions. So I decided to go on easy path.

"Hey Jessica, Good morning dear."

"Huhh. What so good about this morning. You know Angela and I am on leave because today is homecoming queen contest but I have to come here so I can get the best dress."

"Oh have it Jessica any dress you want my cupboard is open."

"No I don't want just any dress, I want the one you gave to Angela."

"But Jassica…"

"Ask it back from her and give it to me, I have her cell number just call her from your phone."

She took the phone from night stand and gave it to me

"I can't Jessica. I already gave it to her to wear in contest. Think one what will she wear if I take it back?"

"Why do I care? And when are you going to think about me what will I wear."

"You did the shopping yesterday, my cupboard have more beautiful dresses have any one but…."

"It's me…you hate me. That's why you are doing it; you don't want me to win."

"It's not true, I love you both, I gave her a dress and I would love to give you any dress you want."

"Then call her and get my dress back"

"You know I can't Jessica. Just have a look on my dresses please. May be you like one." Before she can say no I left the bed and gave her two dresses which are most expensive in collection. And from the look on her face I know she liked them.

"Wow they are much better then Angela's"

"Go and try them so we can decide which one is best for your contest."

"Huh…Are you serious? You don't deserve any one of these dresses and you will decide for me? I don't think you got to wear cloths before let alone a dress. I am taking both dresses."

My throat is tight as I tried to hold my self with her hurtful words.

"Of course have them; you will look good in both." I tried to clear my throat and smiled at her. But she is in deep thinking and didn't smile back.

"Where are jewelries and I want sandals and a clutch too."

"Oh…ummm they are in left drawer and sandals are over there." I pointed at the shoe rack in corner of the room. She looked in drawer and gasped.

"Wow…I just don't understand why he wants you when he can have any girl like me." She took more then 4 jewelries and then goes to shoe rack.

"I know you are a whore but Sue just don't admit it, anyway how many mans you have been with."

My mouth opened and closed again as she turned with two stilettos in her hand then she smiled.

"I know you lost the count." Then she showed me her hands "I am taking all of these."

She left the room and I am still standing on my place stunned with her words. The door open again as she peeked inside.

"Hey don't tell anyone, you know it's because of your drama I didn't go shopping, you ruined my day and chances to win"

Guilt surfaced again as she left with hard words. I run to bathroom and turn the tap on and let my tears fall. I cried without holding back, I know her every word is true and I know it's my fault but hearing it from her is hard.

I left the room after completing the homework. I decided to help Sue in kitchen, she is alone today but I couldn't find her in kitchen so I took supplies from store room and decided to do gardening. I hope it would help my mood a little. Jessica's words were harsh but true, I just hope she forgive me one day. I was in deep thoughts when a small white puppy came to me and started sniffing around. I loved dogs before but one of my masters used one on me and I don't like them anymore. I backed away from him I know its not their fault they are friendly animal but I am still afraid to touch them. I took few more steps back and then noticed my cell still on ground near him. I looked back toward house for help but no one is there to help. I know Edward is with Eleazar in security meeting and Sue must be cleaning the house. He sniffed my cell; I tried to hush him but he picked it in his mouth.

"No no no… bad puppy" I took two slow steps towards him and he started wagging his tail.

"Its not a ball give it back" as I took one more step and he run and stopped at few feet's. He looked so cute as he turned his pleading eyes to me. I know he wants to play but I am not that person.

"Please come back" I know I can't go inside for help. He will leave with my phone. So I go behind him. I tried slow steps again but again he runs. I tried to do sudden attack, I tried running, yelling, even throw small stone at him but just doest stop playing. Now his cute face is making me angry. I am already very far from house, I am tried, thirsty and frustrated and I am losing hope now. What if I can't get it back from him? Edward said its very important device he won't like it if I told him I lost it to a dog.

"Give it back please…" after chasing him some more time I finally gave up. I sat on side of a small pond to catch my breath. Puppy came to me and started wagging his tail again.

"Go away, I am not going to play any more." I took stone and throw at still water in pond. It's easier to take it frustration out on water instead of a cute puppy. He came closer and I stand and instantly took few steps back. I gasped as ice cold water hit me and realized that I fall on the pond. I stand half wet in ice cold water and waited for him to go. But started touching his toes in water and in hurry to take step back I slipped and I heard loud laughter coming from the large tree.

"I have never seen any one scared of a small puppy like that." His laughter is more annoying then puppy. He is in black from head to toe. His suit, eyes, hair, and shoes every thing is black. I stand again, completely wet now.

"I…..jj.. just ..wwanted my phone. I am not scared of him." My teeth started chattering from coldess.

"Ok. Let me try." And he did try. He did everything but that puppy is way to fast and naughty.

"Hey come on mojo don't embarrass me in front of a girl."

"He is yours?"

"No…I am just trying to get friendly, I don't think he will like if I call him puppy." And then mojo came near pond, drop the phone in deep water and run away.

"Oh god no…."

"Umm… I don't think you will get your phone now."

"No…nnnoooo I …I n..need that ..pphone. I …c..cant go back without it." I started searching near the place where he dropped it.

"Hey its ok. Even if you find it will be useless."

"What? Why?"

"The water, ones it gets inside cell phone its stops working."

"N..nno….i ..i need to …f..find it."

"Ok, I will find it for you, but you need to come out now or you will get fever."

I come out of water and sit side of pond as he searched my dead phone. He is wet too when he found it.

"I told you it will be useless" he said as he handed me black screen phone.

"Thank you" I tried few button but screen is still black. How will Edward react, he said it so many times its very important thing.

"It won't work dear, let get you home before you get cold."

" I…I.."

"You can use my phone if you want?

"I…I ..don't … number."

"Then we should head home before sun gets down." I look up and realized I am in deep trouble now, not only for phone also going out without permission, and spending a long time without informing any one and I have one bigger thing to worry this person. If I go home with him, what would Edward do?

"I will go by my self, thank you so much for your help."

"I can't leave you like this, you are wet and cold and its getting dark, I won't be able to sleep ever thinking whether you reach home or not." He said and removed his coat. At first I thought he will attack me but then he extends his hand to give me the coat.

"You will freeze. It will help a little."

"I am fine"

"It's not a good idea to get fever" he step toward me and I shrank back.

"I won't come near I promise."

I took coat from him and started walking toward home. We walked few feet apart. May be he understands my fears. We chatted a little, about puppy, and how he seen me as he was passing by.

"Why did you help me?"

"I don't want you getting attack by another puppy." He laughed and I couldn't help but smiled with him "No…you look really familiar. I thought you are someone I am searching from a long time."

"Whom you are searching?"

"One of family friend, She is missing since a very long time. Her name is Isabella Swan."

I stopped as I heard my name from his mouth. Fear gripped me and all I want to run away from him.

"Who are you?"

He stopped a few feet away from me and stared at me before answering

"I am Jacob Black…..you ? Bella?"

I run. I couldn't help it as my old life came rushing back at me. I know him, we were friends in childhood. I don't remember his face and I am sure he didn't either. I can't go back to my old life or memories.

He took the hold of my wrist and pulled me back.

"What happened to you? You have any idea how worried everyone is?"

"Please let me go…..i don't want you to come with me. Leave me alone"

"What happened Bella? Tell me I will help you."

"I just want to go home."

"Whom do you live with?"

"Edward…Edward Cullen."

"Well why am I not surprised by that?...lets go I will take you back to Charlie or Renée."

"Noooo…. I don't want to. I just want to go home."

His face is turned red with anger at my words.

"Then we are going home"

Whole way back I tried to convince him to go but he insists that he want to drop me properly and make sure I am safe.

As the house came in view, I saw lots of police cars, guards and people standing out side. I know why they are here; I can't even hope to get help from Sue now. I just wish he will punish me physically instead of emotionally.

As I entered the house every one stared at us. I looked around to find Eleazar or Sue. We entered the hallway and one guard run inside. I started shaking hard as I see Edward frozen in his place with a phone to his ear. His eyes zeroed on us like he couldn't believe his eyes. He looked at Jacob a long time before looking at me and the coat I wear. I bit my lip to stop saying anything in front of Jacob.

Sue entered the room with tear on her face.

"Oh thank god" she came and hugged me. "Oh my dear, what happened? Did you found her Jacob" but before he answer Edward said "Take her inside Sue and call the doctor."

"Sure sir"

"So the golden boy gets to kidnap a girl"

"What Happened?"

I heard them as I go toward my room. Sue helped me change in dry cloths and put me to bed before calling doctor.

"You have no right to keep her here; I will tell police what you are doing."

I heard Jacob yelling and I get up from bed to go down and defend Edward.

"Bella lie down I will handle this."

"But Sue…."

"No Bella… I know him. He won't let my words go in vain. Rest while I come back."

I didn't here Jacob voice after Sue left, but I am worried for Edward I want to go and see what's going on.

Soon Edward entered my room and I sit up automatically. His face is showing his anger my lower lip trembled as he came and sit beside me.

"I….I..c..can…E..Explain." he cares my face with his finger tip.

"Are you all right" I nodded my head frantically

"Doctor will be here soon, don't worry you will be fine."

"L…Let …me explain. i…I swear I didn't tell him any thing. I didn't know he was there….i …am so.." I couldn't complete as he hugged me. "Its ok…..relax" I trembled in his arms. "Relax your self Bella." When my trembling settled down he pulled me back and handed me water.

"Why did you go to pond love?" he asked it so soothingly like he is not angry with me.

"I…I ….he…."

"He took you? From here…"

"Noooo…. Not him, the puppy…..he…took my phone I was gardening …I run to get it…..he….dropped ….it in pond…..He found the phone….but …its ruined….i am…so very..sorry." He hugged me again.

"Bella…. I don't care about phone. You shouldn't have run behind him love."

"But you said it's very important."

"Not more then your health. Yes it's important but we can buy 100's of them. I just want you to keep it with you not to risk your life to get it back. And why were you grading all alone out side."

"I ….wanted …to help Sue…she is alone today."

"Did something happen between you and Jessica?"

I was stunned by his change of topic. I didn't know how much he knows or what happened behind me all I know is I can't lie to him.

"What happened tell me?"

"I….please don't be mad"

"Why would I be mad at you?"

"Not me…..at her..?" his expression turned angry

"What did she do…?"

"Please…"

"If you don't tell me I will drag her back from her contest here to deal with this matter, Sue told me Jessica is wants your dress. Tell me what happen?"

"I …I will tell you every thing I promise but….you won't fire her…I know you don't want me to lie…but I also don't want be the reason to her problems again."

"Ok ….i understand….i won't fire her…but this would be her last warning, I will have a word with her and she will apologies to you properly."

"She came to me in morning and asked for dress I gave to Angela. I told her I can't give her and gave her few of dresses from cupboard and shoes and jewelries."

"Bella. Is she respectful with you?"

I know this answer will get her in trouble. I bit my lip thinking what to say.

"What did she said?"

"I…I don't deserve you.."

"And?"

"That I am a whore….." He pulled the phone from the pocket and made a call

"Sue…I want Jessica in my study first thing in the morning….yes…..okk….please send him inside."

He put the phone back in and told me doctor is here. He stayed on my side whole time while doctor took my pulse and temperature. He gave me pills for 3 days, and told me I will be fine it's just cold.

Emmett teaches me less today and Sue gave me juice and soups time to time. Edward gave me new cell phone at dinner and told me it's not important to save it, its important to keep it.

Yessss…. Jacob….he forced my hand to run fast on keypads. He doesn't want to wait to get his debut.
