Chapter 2

Three years later

Danny sighed as he couldn't wait for school to be over. Honestly, he wanted to get away from Kim. He didn't know why Kim hated him. Ever since Ann took the boy in, Kim began to blame the boy for everything. Kim even blamed him for her parent's divorce, which happened months before it was official. As soon as they started high school, the redhead pointed out the boy's flaws. She told people that Danny was a coward. She said that Danny couldn't save his family from a fire.

Danny looks at the clock and is overjoyed when he hears the bell ring. As soon as he left the class, he went to his locker and grabbed his books before going home. Danny hated this school because everyone worried more about popularity than anything else. Danny honestly didn't care about it as he focused.

Danny was almost out of the building when Kim pushed him out of her way as she and her cheerleader friends walked out of school. Danny sighed as he started walking home. He decided it would be better to walk away from her as he won't see her for a week and a half.

After walking home, Danny saw Cujo looking out the window, waiting for him to get home. Danny was surprised at how big the dog got as Cujo became one of the largest English Mastiffs the boy had ever seen. The dog was so stubborn in sleeping with its master that Danny and Kim had to change rooms as the dog kept knocking things over.

As soon as Danny got inside, he heard his Ann in the kitchen as she was humming. The boy smiled as he saw the woman baking, as he always did see the woman as a saint. When Danny lost his family, Ann was the one person who was there for him. She tried to care for him as she was still dealing with the fallout of her divorce.

She is a good parent, even if her kids think that she didn't try to fix things with their father. Ann and James ended up getting divorced as he had multiple affairs, with the last one being the last straw for Ann. James even agreed to the divorce as she didn't deserve what he did to her. After the divorce, the kids began to resent her, which led to them staying with their father.

Ann was busy making cookies for the twin's bake sale when Danny went up to the woman. He kissed her on the cheek, which startled her as she almost dropped the hot tray of chocolate chip cookies.

" Danny, I didn't hear you come in," Ann says while she places the hot tray on the counter for the cookies to cool down.

" Don't worry about it, besides it seems as if you've been busy," The boy says as he notices a lot of cookies in the kitchen. It seemed as if Ann was baking all day due to the amount. " Are these for the school bake sale?"

" Yes, since James is taking Kim to Florida to help Nana, I thought it would be better if I help the twins out with the bake sale and make homemade cookies," The woman said while she threw another batch in the oven.

Danny hummed as he grabbed a soda and went upstairs. Once Danny got to his room, he sat at his desk and pulled out his textbooks as he started to study.

Time Skip: Two hours.

Danny came downstairs wearing Black jeans and black converse. He was also wearing a gray shirt that fit him well, and his hair was dripping wet as he was heading to meet his friends. As soon as the boy reached the final step, he could hear his aunt and cousin yelling, which caused him to sigh.

The black-haired teen entered the living room, and he found out what they were yelling about.

" What gave you the right idea that you could take my car without asking," The mother asked, as the woman was beyond furious with the girl.

" Maybe if I wasn't grounded, I could have gone out with Josh," The girl said. Suddenly the front door opened, and James walked in and walked to Ann.

" You did all this to see a dumb boy," The woman asks as she raises her voice at her daughter. James was confused as the twins told him what the girl did, and now he was pissed.

" The same boy you tried to sneak out to see while leaving the twins home alone? The same reason you got grounded after the boys set fire to the backyard?" The man asked as he knew he was right.

" I don't understand the big deal. No one got hurt," The teen hero said.

Danny knew he wouldn't be hanging out with his friends as he would be stuck babysitting. James suddenly turned to the young Fenton as he gave the boy his car keys. Danny could feel his blood boil as this was the third time this week that he had to cancel his plans to watch the twins cause of Kim and her new obsession with her new boyfriend.

James then reaches into his pockets and takes out his wallet. The man pulls out six hundred dollar bills and hands them to the young teen. Ann sees this and frowns. She knew that Danny was trying to hang out with Monique and his friends all week but ended up canceling on them last moment. She promised to make it up to her nephew.

" Daniel, you are probably the only trustworthy child in this room. So I assume you can take the boys out of the house for an hour. Here's some money for your troubles. Now please take the boys out for some ice cream. Your aunt and I have to have a very long conversation with Kim," James said as he tried to hold back his anger. Danny nodded as he told Jim and Tim to get in the car.

Danny couldn't help but feel angry as he walked out of the house. Unknown to the boy that his eyes began to glow green.

Time skip 6 a.m.

Danny walked down the stairs of his room. He needed to get ready for school no matter how tired he was. Once he got to the bathroom, he went to the sink and brushed his teeth. Once he rinsed his mouth out, he looked into the mirror and fully woken up. The black hair that he has was now pure white and he had Glowing green eyes. That was when the boy screamed.
