The United States of America used to be Native America. Yes, he actually used to be the Native America. You must be saying, "But that's not possible! Native America would have to be an adult by the time America came around!" How he came to be the America we know today has to do with magic and a little brother./ This specific story has been discontinued and rewritten.

15. Discontinuing and Rewritees

"Oh great its this little shit who keeps flopping back and forth between this damn story" is what I assume you, who followed this story all the way back in 2014 are thinking. Which is understandable, I have flip flopped with this story over the past few years on whether or not I will continue this story until last year when I said I wouldn't and this story was abandoned. Which I instantly regretted, to be honest but I was in a rough time period in my life during those few years and at the time my interest in Hetalia seriously waned. I lost my passion for writing, and it seriously took me out of commission for a while.

But its 2024 and I realized suddenly that it's almost 10 years since I wrote those first chapters. Reading back on them now, I kinda cringe at how I wrote things yet people still loved it. I went back sometimes and read those same reviews that lit up my passion for writing, and going back to it at the end of 2023 made me realize I want to go back to it again.

"Octavia, are you done with your soap opera? I wanna read fanfiction, are you abandoning this story or not?"

Short answer: No. As of reading this the first two chapters of the story have been rewritten and posted on both FF and AO3. I had plans with this story, and though I've forgotten or lost those plans, I still want to at least finish this story and write a few more connecting to it. And now that I'm older, I'm hoping that I've grown much more as a writer and that the story I tried telling as a thirteen year old will be told in a much better light. Despite some inaccuracies that will be there no matter how much I research. That was another thing that put me off from the story, was the fact that I genuinely wanted to make sure I was being respectful of the cultures here. That is still my goal, and I still heavily encourage those of those cultures to correct me if I put anything incorrectly.
