The return of Klatu
Chapter 11th
Captain Cobbs began to listen to the lab technician regarding Klatu. He had been shaking his head concerning this alien. "Doctor, really what was so special about this alien?" he will ask calmly with the question.
While Doctor Jance continued to read the computer report. "I just don't get it!" she had expressed herself with the outburst.
The technician doctor turned to face the woman. "How so Doctor Jance?" he asked with his calmness.
"This report tells me that all of the burned pieces are all of the same?" she said finishing the last page of the report.
"A quite correct Doctor. However, the computer had estimated that there is a slim chance that the spaceships might have come from the Andromeda system," he says to have Captain Cobbs look up.
"Wait a minute! how in the world does the computer come up with an answer like that?" he said with a deep breath.
It will be Doctor Jance to answer the question while telling the tech to head back to the lab and his work. She will watch him leave feeling slightly pissed that he had to head back to his lab.
"Captain Cobbs, we were able to tell once Klatu had left Earth 20 years ago. He had given us the information on his ship and the rest of his robot fleet. However, we weren't able to investigate further with receiving an order from the military and White House to stop all testing." she cried out...
"Who was the woman Klatu was involved with once he arrived on Earth?" Captain Cobbs asked safely with the question. For a moment it was beginning to be uncomfortable in his environment suit.
Thinking about the name for the moment. "Her name is Mrs. Helen Benson working for the Pentagon part-time time the past five years. Her son Robert Benson age 30 years an officer in the Army and serving a stint in the Gaza region to help with the Israeli government," she advised with a deep breath through her covered face.
Captain Cobbs had been still confused. "There is one thing I will need to know Doctor Jance," he says with a hard swallow in his throat.
"How so Captain Cobbs?" she announced with a slight irritation with her tone of voice.
"What I need to know is how did this Klatu first meet Mrs. Benson?" he asked.
She moved a little towards the captain while leaving the tablet on the counter near her. "Interesting question Captain. What I do know is the fact that Klatu needed a place to stay after escaping from the Washington, D.C. hospital. He was able to meet Klatu, Mrs. Benson, Bobby, and other residents." she says calmly.
He takes a deep breath for the moment. "This is where he became friendly with the woman and Bobby?" Captain Cobbs needed to say.
Flinching her right hand for a second. "Correct Captain. It wasn't until he was able to set up the demonstration to scare everyone as per request by Professor Barnhart. Mrs. Benson and Klatu were stuck inside an elevator. When he's able to explain why he was on Earth in the first place. She was able to befriend him as with Bobby." she tells him while needing to know what time it was inside.
"Now I can understand the entire story for when it comes to Klatu and Mrs. Benson," Cobbs tells her along with a yawn underneath his mask. "Thanks for everything Doctor Jance. Now I need to be going until next time."
Mrs. Helen Benson had been driving around Washington, D.C. taking in the views for the most part. It's been a little over two months with her son Robert outside the Gaza Strip after the fighting had been going strong between Hamas and the Israeli government.
She had gotten an email from her son telling her that everything was fine with him and his group. However, the damage done by the attacks has been just too much for everyone including Helen.
She had stopped her vehicle waiting at a red light. When all of a sudden her cell phone had been buzzing. She noticed the name on the caller's I.D. to be General John Lewis. It's been a few weeks since she had been at the Pentagon for special work.
The light had turned green and she needed to move to the curve to speak with the general. She had no idea what it might be.
She needed to be careful with her driving to the curve with traffic having to be light at the moment.
Exhaling briefly.
She grabs her cell phone to call back the general. Her heart was racing slightly needing to find out just what the hell was going on with him and the call.
General John Lewis munching on a turkey sandwich inside his office. His communications buddies had received a special video transmission coming from outside their galaxy. It was a video message coming from Klatu that is meant for Mrs. Helen Benson.
The general had decided to call Helen asking her to come to the Pentagon communications section. All of a sudden his intercom was beeping meaning that his secretary needed him...
Pressing the button on the intercom. "What is it Page?" he will ask gruffly.
VOICE ON THE INTERCOM...
"Sir, Mrs. Helen Benson in on line, two," she advised with her words. She had a pile of work in front of her that needed to be done before going home tonight.
"Thank you, I will talk with her, Page," he says calmly. Even though his throat needed water to drink.
He will pick up the phone pressing line two to speak with the woman. For the moment he was scared to tell her the news about the video message from Klatu.
"Helen, this is John. How are you doing lately?" he asked with a deep breath.
"Do you mind General Lewis just what is going on with the phone call?" she cried out at his tone over the phone.
He is taking a moment to answer her question by taking a sip of his ice-cold water filled with ice. "I need for you to come to the communications section of the Pentagon. I have something extraordinary for you watch before judging it before watching it, Helen," he says with another sip of his water.
