Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Acidic Allies. Enjoy the 2800-word chapter. I don't own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi and a few others do.
Aace had Mina next to him when he looked at the envelope, he had gotten a drink, using his quirk to float the tray near them. It hadn't yet been without problems.
She kicked at his side before he rolled his eyes and pushed her foot away with his other hand as the two sat on his family's sofa. It had yet become obvious to them that such problems had only served to push them further and further toward their goal.
Mina looked at Aace who had been too far removed to have noticed her series of kicks at him. It had hurt, sure… But he knew she was being playful and trying her best to relax and allowed her to have her fun. It wasn't exactly like she wasn't trying to be nice, nor did it hurt.
She had been what she had been. She was an odd little woman, however. She had been someone whom he found funny. Maybe that was just part of Mina's charm when it was all over.
"What's going to be the results? Oh, tell me, tell me…" Mina stated to she seemed to have been handling this properly.
"Are you sure you are ok?" Mina stated before Aace shrugged before she tilted her head. "Cause you're being weird, Aacey," Mina stated to which Aace hummed and tilted his head to the side as she did so.
"Your weird, Mina," Aace stated before he cracked a smile at herself. "Are you sure you're going to be ok?" Aace asked while he clicked his fingers together slowly with a hum.
"I don't know what's going to be on this damn card," Aace stated before she kicked at him while trying to grab the card from his face so he could stop focusing on it. "You kick me in the face again and I'm kicking back Mi," Aace stated while he rolled his eyes at her, too interested in what to say and what to do anyway.
"Then give me the silly card, I want to read it and you're hogging it all the time. let me see what's on it." Mina said to which Aace forced her back which only made her more and more eager to try and grab it from him.
He was amused at the effort which she put in, but he was also annoyed at the same time. This hadn't at all seemed to have bothered her as she still tried to reach around the boy who had his work cut out for him trying to do much of anything.
"Give it…" Mina said as Aace tried to ignore it. "Aace, give it to me or I will kick you again as hard as I can," Mina said to which Aace stared over at her with a deadpan expression.
"No," Aace said as Mina snorted and kicked her feet up in the air before tossing another letter at her. "Also? That was for you. You wanted to see if we both got in and yet you never checked your mailbox." Aace stated to which Mina rolled her eyes.
"So you went through my mail without letting me know? Aace, that's a crime." Mina said to which Aace playfully punched her arm which made her pretend to be wounded.
"I didn't and you know I didn't," Aace said as she pretended to pout. "If I did? I would have told you. There's just no damn way we're going to let this be that easy, I just don't want anything to get have to get past you. Secondly? You asked me too if you forgot, you asked me too entirely when it's all said and done and that is what I did." Aace stated to Mina could find no real responses to this so she resorted to kicking him again.
Aace turned and caught her foot before spinning her to the side and off the sofa. She rolled for a second before looking at Aace as if he had just committed a crime. He shrugged at her as he knew he had told her exactly what he'd have done if she did the deed to make him throw her. It wasn't exactly something that either found to be less amusing and a lot less of a thing they had on their minds.
He hadn't yet seemed to have allowed it to be a problem for now. He was so unsure of what this would have been for the time being and how odd this was going to have been. The nightmare wasn't going to be over anytime soon. It just didn't seem as if it'd be ended so easily They had a lot more riding on this than they had known.
Aace simply found it to be funny, funnier still when he realized she was simply messing with him for such a moment. He'd have a moment while he questioned for now. They had more to understand and do for now…
Mina sighed and leaned sideways, draping herself over the boy's chest as he glanced at her, making her smirk and mockingly click her tongue as he questioned before he seemed to have to focus more on what to do next for now. Only a matter of time before he rolled his eyes.
Mina kicked her feet over the edge of the sofa and looked up at the letter. Aace finally sighed and relented, knowing she'd probably not just let it go if he didn't find some way to alleviate her worries at the moment.
"Here, are you going to be ok if I let you look at them?" Aace questioned while he sighed and only paused to think of what to do next, such a measure had something for now.
He didn't know what to have to say for now and he didn't at all know what to tell her. Aace did know she wanted to mess with him and she was getting her to wish. It was a fun little thing, for the time being, it was something odd for the time being, but it was clear she just wanted her fun.
However? Aace was a warrior who could have allowed it, despite his best efforts for the time being. This wasn't going to have been easier on him, but it damn well was getting a smirk out of him as she saw.
"I can see you smirking~," Mina said as Aace rolled his eyes.
"I can kick you off the sofa~," Aace said to which Mina rolled her eyes in return and yawned, showing just how little it had bothered her for now. "Are you good? You keep moving around." Aace stated as Mina shrugged.
"I'm good, just happy you're getting messed with. That's what friends do, Aace. That's what friends are like when push comes to shove." Mina said as Aace rolled his eyes and looked before he sighed.
"Mina. You constantly drive me up a wall, I just want you to know that." Aace stated before he shook his head. "Still? thanks for that. We don't know what to have to do when we get to school." Aace said before he sighed to himself.
Aace understood just what she was trying to do, push his brain around inside his head, make him doubt the little things, or perhaps doubt the doubt itself. He liked her approach to things, it set his mind at ease to a massive degree and gave him the confidence he rather enjoyed with life. There was only too much he could have done for now… Only time and some effort might give way to it all.
It was all too damn much for the time being when it came down to it. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth… If anything while he questioned before he looked around before he tilted his head, it was clear more and more.
Aace sighed before he tilted his head to the side and glanced around. There was all too much, all too unwilling to have found such a thing amusing. He didn't at all understand what she'd do next if she wasn't at all allowed for now to find it possible. They had more and more things to handle and a lot more to have questioned.
Mina looked around before she kicked up her feet across the lap of the boy. It was clear that these issues weren't going to have to focus on what to do next. Mina wasn't going to be prepared and she wasn't going to yawn, tilting his head to the side.
The woman kicked at Aace only for him to catch her foot and yank her off the couch like he expected to have done if she had pushed him just like he had told her.
Aace tilted his head as Mina looked at him. It was probably the idea that he hadn't at all been perfect, that he lacked the finesse she had seen before. It wasn't something he wanted to have avoided and would have if not given able problem.
She rolled her eyes, clearly too amused, too caught off guard for such a tactic to have done much more for now. It was clear something that he needed to have focused on what to do next. It was clear such a problem only served to have amused him.
"So, what are you going to do next, hmm?" Aace asked before he felt tired, tired more and more.
"Whatever I feel like, Aace… Are you cool? I'm sorry. I didn't expect you to do something like that." Mina stated to which Aace shrugged, unsure of what her idea of 'COOL' would have turned out as.
It was clear to him that despite his best efforts? She was honestly going to have prepared more and more for the worst.
He looked around, too interested in what would have been done. It was then he tilted his head, smirking at her before he yawned, tired and all too unwilling to let her know it.
Aace sighed and felt tired, not simply because he had been worn down all day, no… Because this had been doing something to him, something he didn't know how to handle. It was worth a yawn, a small one which reminded her that Aace had been up for a while and as of now was…. Very amused and incapable of doing much.
He sighed, too unwilling to have backed down, not willing to have gotten this properly. It was clear that he should have done a number on him… It did a number on them both and that wasn't likely to have changed much, not with them all too much interest. It was all too much for him at the end of the day and it was going to be a lot worse. There were a lot more problems when push came to shove.
It was all too much, a lot more than enough, but it was clear he had to relax upon it. Such problems had constantly made themselves known and it was clear more and more if anything that he had a lot more work to get done. It was clear more and more with interest.
Mina sighed and looked down at the ground before she rolled her eyes as she constantly prepared something or other that would have gone downwards and downwards for now. He had plenty of problems when it comes down to it and all this did was constantly remind him that such things would not stop so easily… It was clear such a thing wasn't going to be easy… Then again? What in life could be called easy when push came to shove… It was all too much for him.
He sighed to himself with interest as he clicked his throat. It wasn't going to be something the magnetic hero prepared for now when it comes down the wire. He wasn't going to be able to relax, nor did he wish to relax anytime soon.
Mina continued to poke at his chin as the boy only rolled his eyes over and over until they almost rolled his eyes back into his mind. It was honestly beyond him for now which seemed to have been a lot worse of a thing when it came down to it. Mina wasn't going to be proper when all of it was over.
This wasn't going to have been proper for now. This wasn't going to be easy, Mina was someone who had contained a lot more energy than he expected as she swished her feet back and forth on the couch as if she had been involved in some strange little odd game for now. They weren't going to simply walk out the door.
It was perhaps more and more of a mistake, something that needed to be without question. She almost kicked him which didn't at all surprise him, Mina had been someone who constantly seemed to want to surprise him and it wasn't honestly a bad thing if he was totally honest. Well, these measures would do less than nothing at the end of the day.
There were a lot of moves, but for now. It was a lot clearer for now which had been what he needed to have figured out. Perhaps they had become friends for a reason, perhaps they were going to be doing this dance until they died sooner or later.
Mina yawned to herself before she leaned at him as she seemed to question what to do next. She yawned and then looked around before she tilted her head as she seemed to wrap her head around it all.
There was a sigh as he rolled his eyes and turned his head to his books. The idea was all too much of an idea as she looked down at the ground before it seemed to get down and dusted as he stared up into the sky before cracking his fingers.
Mina was all too happy to lie across Aace's lap as he sighed to himself. Aace sighed and looked down as she looked around before now. Mina was silent as Aace looked at her and finally let the paper in front of him be shown.
"UGH…" Aace stated before he shook his head before he sighed to himself and shook his head. "Happy? You are like a giant pink puppy. You're not easy to deal with, you know that?" Aace said as he looked at his smirking family.
It was all too much of an interesting topic anyway and he felt her grip the paper in his hands. Perhaps it was worth a smirk on his face as he tilted his head and yawned to himself. Aace was going to have a mental breakdown as he sighed and rolled his eyes to himself.
Mina was going to be the death of him before now and yet? Well? Aace was all too amused with Mina to voice a single word of opposition at least. It wasn't exactly like he felt like doing anything about it and she didn't at all seem to understand what to do next.
Mina was honestly curious as to what came next and how well it would all click into place; it came with the ideals and patience to see it all into place… All of it would end today and she would manage to get a laugh from him and it was worth it to the end of time and space. Perhaps the idea of such a thing was terrifying to him and yet she didn't care for now.
Perhaps it was beyond the realm of caring or simply beyond the idea of it. Mina watched as he raised an eyebrow towards her before yawning and looking around with the fury of a cat playing with a mouse. If anything? All these problems were going to be weird and entirely problematic.
Mina was all too amused by now as he crossed his arms and he looked around before finally yawning to himself. Aace leaned on the wall before sighing to himself.
"You are like a giant teddy bear, you know that," Aace said before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
It was honestly amusing and interesting simply what would come and how it'd need to be handled properly, the idea such things were to exist would only make him more and more amusing.
"Maybe, but you find it funny, don't you?" Mina stated to which Aace fell silent and looked around the room with amusement clear on his jaws.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to apologize for repeating myself so often and using it so much. The next chapter will be better than this one. The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show both Mina and Aace talking and will be 900-6500 words. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
