Eri was humming happily to herself as she swung her legs back and forth in the air. She was sitting on top of Eraserhead's desk as the said teacher was going over student bios of his class, specifically Izuku, Ochaco, Katsuki and Tsuyu.
He knows who they were. He remembers hearing a case about them where a few kidnappings were taking place and how they were taken in broad daylight all except one. Tsuyu was the only one taken at night, he always wondered why but he couldn't think of any viable answer or solution that explains it.
All he knows is that he was asked by Nezu to watch over her closely, more so than the others. Regardless he would watch over all of them, not just for the safety of the people but because they were his students. Powers or not. If they had a problem that was conflicting with their emotions, then he will be there to help set them straight.
"Mr. Aizawa." Eri called out, tugging the teacher's arm bringing him out of his thoughts.
"Hm, what is it little child?" Shota asked.
"Is everything okay?" She asked him as her eyes peered over to the paper and she saw Tsuyu's name. "Is something wrong with auntie?"
Aizawa raised an eyebrow at this. Hearing a six-year-old calling one of his students Auntie was a little weird. Then again, he remembers seeing Tsuyu and the other three huddled together before the battle training.
"No, nothing's wrong. I'm just reading over their files; a teacher should get to know the type of students they're going to have so they can learn how to help them become heroes." He answered.
"Oh, that's very cool. Daddy has the same thing in his notebooks." She replied happily as Aizawa become a little wide eyed at hearing the young girl say father. He knew that it couldn't be Katsuki based on his attitude and little stunt from yesterday so it had to be the other one, Izuku.
"Quick question, why do you call them your parents?" Aizawa asked her. "They didn't… force you to call them that did they…?" He immediately received a pout.
"No, they didn't force me to do anything." She said as a frown came to her face. "My real mommy gave me away when I had awakened my quirk, I was only two" She said raising her hand and holding up two fingers to Aizawa. She then had an emotionless look on her face as she spoke once more. "I was an accident, but I had erased Dad. After what happened to Dad, she didn't want anything to do with me anymore and gave me to masked bird men. And there I was cut up over and over again until it stopped."
'Bird men?" Aizawa thought as he wondered who she was talking about. He was also a little worried at how perceptive the child was, no kid should have a cold expression plastered on their face.
"But Mom and Dad saved me." A smile came to her face as she pictured Izuku and Ochaco's smiling faces. "They rescued and raised me, they made me feel loved again. They teach me, train me and love me as other mothers and fathers do. And one time I called them Mama and Papa by accident but I was happy that I called them that and they were too… Mama was crying when I said it." Eri stated as she turned back to Aizawa.
The hero was silent as he let the little girl talk about his students.
"It's because of them that I have a family again, and now I have an even bigger family!" Eri shouted, as she picked up a picture and showed it to Aizawa. Looking at it, he saw more than his students he saw them and their parents all but Tsuyu.
"You really love your family, don't you?" Aizawa asked as Eri nodded her head rapidly.
"Thiiissss muuuuch!" Eri exclaimed as she held her arms out as wide as she could. Even though his mouth was hidden underneath his scarf, Aizawa was smiling at her.
BOOOMMM!
Aizawa eyes widened in shock while Eri looked up at the ceiling as the room shook like there was an earthquake.
"What was that?" Aizawa asked as Eri just pouted. "What's the matter?"
"Uncle and Papa are playing rough again." She said as she crossed her arms while Aizawa blinked at Eri before raising an eyebrow.
'Again?'
Explosions rocked the building as Izuku and Katsuki clashed into battle. Both trying to outwit the other without giving an opening.
Katsuki grinned in excitement as he opened both of his palms and blasted himself forward, heading straight for Izuku. As soon as he came close, he switched tactics and propelled himself over his opponent, and planned on blasting Izuku in the back.
However, he saw the smirk on Izuku's face as he felt something wrapped around his torso and suddenly pulled him down. Izuku had disappear into black mist before reappearing behind Katsuki, use his scythe to grab Katsuki's midsection and somersaulted and threw his rival back down to the ground.
"Ugh!" The blonde grunted before rolling over and was back on his feet. "Tch! Lucky counter! Try this!" Katsuki then rushed forward to Izuku once again, delivering a series of punches towards the greenette while also using the blades on his gauntlets as knives.
Izuku parried each of Katsuki's punches and used his scythe to block the blade attacks that were aimed for his chest or head. As Katsuki aimed for a right hook, Izuku raised his weapon to block the attack but became confused when he saw a smile on the blonde's face.
Katsuki then aimed his fist towards the ground before letting out a small explosion, causing a small dust cloud to emerge blinding Izuku. The explosion user used his attack to flip himself over the greenette's head and land right behind him. Katsuki used his left hand to blast an explosion before planting his fist into his right hand and then elbowed Izuku in the back.
"Ugh!" Izuku was stunned from the attack as he collided with the ground, rolling before using his scythe to stop himself.
"Nice shot!" Izuku commented as Katsuki grinned.
"Don't get too happy, I'm just getting started." Katsuki taunted as Izuku stood up.
"I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Kaachan." Izuku then gripped his scythe as he grinned at his rival. "Still, let's keep ourselves from blowing the place up."
"Yeah, yeah." Katsuki waved off his hands but he understood what Izuku was implying. "But I would like to give these extras a good show, and show them that we're not somebody to take lightly."
"Alright then, come at me!" Izuku shouted as he and Katsuki rushed to meet each other once again.
"Unbelievable." Ochaco groaned as a tick mark appeared on her forehead as she watched the battle between her two boys. "Not even five minutes into the match and they are already fighting each other, heck not even five minutes in the battle class and they are the first ones pick to fight." She was having a small rant as Tsuyu tried to calm her down.
"Well, you have to admit the chances that two of them fighting each other were rather 95%." She said as the brunette turned to her with a glare.
"Still, wouldn't it kill the universe to not have them fight because we both know that they always take it to another level and it usually ends up in a draw and a lot of destruction!?" Ochaco whispered harshly to Tsuyu who just shrugged her shoulders.
"Well, it's not like we can do anything about it now." She said as she gazed back at the screen.
"Wow, those two are really strong." Mina said as she watched the blows between Katsuki and Izuku.
"Yeah, we've just started class and the battle trials is already off to a good start. And the way both of them are fighting, it's so manly!" Eijiro added beside her.
Momo remained silent as she gazed at Ochaco and Tsuyu then back to Izuku and Katsuki. The same time a dual haired student was doing the same thing.
Kyoka continued running through the building, checking each and every room to find the bomb.
"Where is he? The bomb could not be that far off could it?" She asked before reaching the end of the hallway and ran up the steps. After going through two more floors, she arrived at the 6th floor and stopped at a corner. Using her quirk, she stayed quiet as she listened for any sounds of movement and then heard Denki's voice.
"Man, I still can't believe I got left behind. I mean, this is supposed to be a team exercise and the dude just ran off, that sucks!" She sweat dropped at the sound of the man complaining about being alone, but quickly shook it off as she located his frequency and slowly made her way down the hallway.
Arriving at the door, she looked around before quickly moving to hide behind a pillar. Peering her head around, she saw Denki still arguing with himself. Rolling her eyes, Kyoka waited for him to turn around before making her way to another pillar.
She peered her head again and saw the bomb in site as the timer was at 6:00. Seeing his back turn, she made her way to go behind another pillar until she came to a complete stop as a bolt of electricity flew past her face and hit the wall.
Turning her head, she saw Denki smirking at her with a finger up.
"I was wondering how long it would take for you to find me, it's been quiet talking to myself." He said, while trying to imitate his voice into a villain. He then threw another bolt towards Kyoka recovered before ducking and went behind another pillar.
"Now, now, no need to hide Hero. But you're only delaying the inevitable. Come out and face your impending doom." Denki said as he charged both hands and fire at the pillar Kyoka was hiding behind.
"That's the best line, you could come up with for a villain role?" Kyoka sweat dropped as Denki earned a tic mark on his forehead.
"Don't judge me for it, it's not like I know how villains act and all that! Give me a break!" He said. Ending his rant, he charged up himself with electricity. "Now let's fight." He said as made a grab for Kyoka who simply dodged the attack.
"How about no." She said before using her quirk and stabbing her earphone jacks on his body, sending a full heartbeat sound inside of him.
"Agh!" Denki yelped out in pain before a smile grew across his face. "Tch, don't count me out yet sweetheart." He then charged his body with electricity as the current voltage touch Kyoka's jacks, sending a jolt of shock through her body.
Kyoka shouted in pain as she was forced to let go of Denki and staggered a bit from the attack.
"You know, I don't like hurting girls, it's not my style." Denki commented as he gave a small shrug from his shoulders. "So, why don't you say give up and
"AAAHHH!" Kyoka let out a small scream as she felt the electricity run through her veins. Gritting her teeth from the pain, she extended her earlobes to try and fuzz Denki but that didn't work.
"Ah, ah, ah!" He teased while waving his index finger. "NO touchy feely, or do you want to fried that badly?" He asked before he charged up both hands and aimed his fingers towards Kyoka. Grinning he fired off two straight shot bolts.
Kyoka, quickly ducked and rolled over dodging the attack.
"Come on, give up already. I don't really like hurting women, it's not my style!" Denki continued talking while shaking his heads.
"How about this?" She had connected her earlobes to her boots, and fired off a concentrated blast of sound towards Denki who put up his arms to guard however he gritted his teeth in pain as the ringing reach his ears instead.
"Gah! Dammit! The sound really really hurts my ears!" Denki yelled in pain as he covered his ears. Taking advantage, Kyoka turned heel and once again raced for the bomb but was stopped when another bolt of electricity zoomed past her head and had hit the window behind her.
"Again!?" She turned her head to Denki and saw that he was grinning while holding one hand on his ear.
"I don't think so sweetheart! I ain't making it that easy for you." He then before firing more bolts at her. Kyoka then kept ducking and dodging as the bolts kept coming after her one by one. However, she took notice that none of the bolts were actually hitting her.
'What the-?' She was interrupted from her thoughts when one actually managed to hit her. "AH! Dammit!" She cursed before getting behind another pillar and took cover as she regained her breath.
She then quickly radio Izuku. "Green are you there?"
"Kyoka! What's the situation!?" Izuku answered.
"It's Denki…. I can't get near the bomb without him trying to fry me." Kyoka replied.
"Have you tried using a broom?' Izuku asked earning a tick mark from his partner.
"The hell's a broom going to do this in this situation!?" She shrieked only to duck again when one of the bolts had hit the pillar again. "Tell, you have a better idea."
"No, Yikes! Hear me out!" Izuku started while dodging an attack from Katsuki. "His quirk is Electricity. While I'm not sure if he can manipulate it or not, he does have a weakness. Are you near any glass or see anything rubber within the room?"
Kyoka looked around the room searching and found herself near the windows where all the glass was intact except for one. Looking down she found a broken piece near her that was large enough to be used for a knife.
"I got one, now what?" She asked him.
"I want you to get Denki to fire at you."
"What!?" She whispered harshly.
"Just trust me." Izuku said before the line cut off as the building suddenly shook with an intense earthquake and a resounding boom was heard through building.
"The Hell?"
"What was that!?"
Izuku had just finished his communication with Kyoka before having to dodge another blast wave from Katsuki.
"Come on, hero! This is getting boring! Are you gonna stop me anytime soon, I hope not because I'm having way too much fun with this!" Katsuki shouted before he blasted him forward towards the greenette.
Izuku rushed forward as well, meeting the ash-blonde head on and pulled his left hand back aiming for a punch. Throwing a straight jab towards Katsuki, the latter ducked avoid the punch before placing his right hand into Izuku's chest and emitted a small blast causing some damage to him.
Izuku grit his teeth as he felt himself sent into the air, he felt himself being pulled as Katsuki grabbed his arm and toss him over his shoulder, then sent a medium blast towards Izuku.
The said boy was sent flying into the wall behind and yelped in pain as his back met the concrete. Panting he looked up, and saw Katsuki's eyes flickering between normal red and dark red as if they were trying to glow.
Izuku's eye brow rose in worry as he realized what was going on with his brother in arms.
'Crap, he's slowly turning into a battle maniac.' Izuku thought in worried tone. While he and the girls knew that Katsuki did love fighting, there were two different sides to him. One side that wants to be number one and protect his family, and the other side that does not care for anything but the excitement of blood, death and fighting someone on equal ground. That one also craved for carnage and destruction.
"I've got to knock him out now, before it gets any worse!' Izuku thought frantically as he quickly stood up while using his scythe as a crutch before getting into a fighting stance once more. Looking over, he saw Katsuki moving his hand towards his bracers and raised his eyebrow in curiosity.
'What's he doing?'
"I got to say hero, I really expected a longer fight with you. I know you can give me one, none of these extras are a challenge for us after all!" Katsuki spoke, his voice merged with War and Izuku eyes widened in alarm.
"Uh oh!" Izuku whispered as he realized that Katsuki was already in his other personality.
Back with the others, Tsuyu and Ochaco eyes also widened in shock as well. While they could only watch what was going on the screen, they were able to hear the boys due to their link as being the Horsemen.
"*R-ribbit…"
"Oh no…" Ochaco whispered as she realized that Katsuki's excitement for battle has let War slowly take over his mind.
"We need to get in there!" Tsuyu whispered to Ochaco, looking at the brunette with worry in her eyes before she attempted to take off.
"Tsu, no!" Ochaco quickly grabbed her and forced frog user back. Earning some attention from their classmates but one. Momo simply stared at the screen with a small smile on her face, she was finding the change in Katsuki a bit intriguing.
"This is interesting…"
"If the support nerds what I asked them, then you know what's about to come next." Katsuki said as he aimed his left bracer at Izuku. "Since I've been storing up my sweat, then you know what that means!" He said with an evil grin on face.
"Dammit, he's about to fire off that big of a blast in a confine space like this?" Izuku thought before gritting his teeth in anger and pulled his scythe back. "If it was just me and him in an open field then it would be fine but, since they are others here…"
"I'm going to have to go with a backup plan." Izuku said as his scythe grew bigger and the blade looked curved, like the shape of a crescent moon. His eyes flickered before glowing black and iris turned purple.
"Bakugo! Do not Fire That Blast!" All Might announced but Katsuki ignored him as his grin grew even bigger.
"He won't die if he dodges!" Katsuki said before pulling the pin from his bracer. "Sayonara, Deku!" he bellowed as he fired his gauntlet and the blast shot towards Izuku who simply charged towards the heat and pulled his scythe back while delivering a battle cry.
*BOOOOOOOMMMMM*
The explosion ranged through the air as the building shook with tremors from the blast. Kyoka and Denki were caught off guard as they felt themselves staggering from the shockwaves.
"What the hell was that!?" Denki asked in shock while Kyoka raised a hand to her earpiece.
"Green! What happened!? Are you okay!?" She asked frantically as she tried to communicate with Izuku but all she got were sounds of static. "Green! Answer me!" She tried once again before cursing to herself.
"Dammit!" She hissed.
Suddenly the sounds of cracking entered her ears. She looked all over the room and her eyes widened in alarm as she saw the ground beneath her crack all over. Before she could move both her and Denki fell as the floor collapsed.
AAAAHHHHH!" Both teens bellowed as they fell.
At the same time, Class 1-A was in shock and bewilderment as they saw Katsuki hit Izuku with a huge explosion that seemed to not only destroyed the cameras watching them but also feel the tremors from the blast.
"Oh my, that was a big blast!" Toru shrieked as she waved her gloves frantically.
"This is concerning." Fumikage added.
"Young Midoriya! Young Bakugo! Respond!" All Might called out only to receive no answer. "Bakugo! Midoriya!" He repeated before going over to the camera and switch cams. He switched monitors to try and find the boys only to switch to Denki and Kyoka. They all saw Denki was looking at the building in shock and Kyoka lips were moving frantically telling them that she was trying to call out to Izuku.
'I need to stop the match now!' All Might thought as he was about to call it off until his eyes widened in shock at what had happened next. He saw the floor beneath Kyoka and Denki collapsed and heard their screams in the comm links.
"R-R-Ribbit." Tsuyu croaked as she stared at the screen in shock while Ochaco gritted her teeth.
'Dammit, Katsuki! What the hell has gotten into you?' She thought before pausing and shook her head. 'I'll reprimand him later, we got other things to worry about.' She then turned her head to Momo and her eyes widened in confusion as she saw the onyx eyed girl looking at screen with a glint in her eyes. There were no signs of concern only hints of amusement and curiosity.
This caused the brunette to narrow her eyes at the onyx eyed female.
'What does she know and why is she not affected by this?' Ochaco wondered. She knew something was off with Momo ever since the assessment test. She's been eyeing all of them as of late like she was trying to learn something or like she knew.
Kyoka came to as she groaned loudly while opening her eyes, her gaze was met with the ceiling of that looked further than usual.
She had a questioning look on her face before her eyes widened in realization as she let out a gasp and immediately sat up in alert. She remembered that the floor beneath her had collapsed and she had fallen along with Denki. Looking around she found the said blonde kid sitting up on top of rubble with swirls in his eyes.
"Wait! Where's Izuku!?" She suddenly remembered her partner, her eyes in worry as she raised her hand to her comm link. She was about to speak until she heard someone speak.
"Are you alright?" Kyoka stopped as she heard the voice and looked around before looking down, her eyes widening in alarm. She gazed at him and saw that he was damaged badly. His mask was completely gone so he couldn't hide his face, his outfit was filled with tatters and his right arm was revealed from stopping the attack. It also didn't help that he had blood dripping down the right side of his forehead over his eye and to his chin.
"Holy shit!"
"You okay?" He asked with a smile on his face. Kyoka quickly got off him and carefully sat him up as he rubbed his stomach. It then made her wonder why his stomach was in pain until she realized something, she didn't feel any pain coming from anywhere other than her ears which meant that he protected her.
"Did… did you catch me when I was falling?" She asked as he chuckled.
"Yeah, I did." He admitted.
"You idiot!" She shouted. "Why would you do that?"
"I couldn't let my partner get hurt, now could I?" Izuku joked while rubbing his head sheepishly.
"Hurt, you're more hurt than I am right now!" Kyoka said as she gestured her hand to his body as he looked down and just shrugged his shoulders.
"Eh, I'll live. It's not the first time I've been hurt like this and it won't be the last." Izuku said as he stood up and stretched out his arms. "Plus, I've been hurt in ways worse than this so it's nothing." He said to himself momentarily forgetting about Kyoka who heard him.
She let out a sound of surprise as she heard his words and found them a bit worrying.
"Green, what do you mean by that?"
"Huh?" Izuku said as he turned his head to his companion. "Oh, I said that aloud. It's nothing, I just ramble a lot sometimes and I kind of forget that there are people around me."
'That didn't sound like rambling to me.' Kyoka thought while frowning.
"Deku." Kyoka was about to ask him something but was interrupted when she heard Katsuki spoke. When he turned her head she was caught off guard by what she saw, she saw the ash-blonde kid with a dark smile on his face as he was walking slowly towards them with his eyes glowing red.
"We're not done yet, you damn hero." He said with a dark smile on his face, his mask making him look villainous.
Izuku just stared at his brother in confusion, Katsuki is a completely different person right now. Yeah, the ash-blonde can get lost in battle from time to time but wouldn't go this far. Not to mention, he would show restraint around others and not endanger them in the crossfire. The death user continued gazing at his friend before he spotted something odd.
Looking at Katsuki's neck, he saw a black mark that was glowing.
'A snake?' Izuku knew that he didn't have that before coming into the trial so he had no idea what it was. Before he could investigate any further, he was brought out of his thoughts when he felt killing intent come from the ash-blonde.
He suddenly felt a hand clench to his arm. Looking over he saw Kyoka shuddering and her legs wobbling, she was trying to stand and was having a hard time breathing.
"What the hell…?" She asked.
Izuku knew right there that his best friend had to be stopped and that he would have to go into his state, even if it meant exposing it to his classmates. He didn't care about himself if it means keeping Kyoka and Denki safe and out of the way.
"Kyoka…" He called earning his partner's attention. "Do you trust me…?"
The earphone jack girl was caught off guard by his question.
"What…"
"Do you trust me?" He asked her again with a serious expression on his face.
"Yes… yes I do."
"Okay, I have an idea but it might be a little crazy." He suggested.
"Will it stop him?" She asked as she gazed at Katsuki, his expression never leaving his face.
"Yes, it will. I'm going to confront him head on and grab him, when you do, I need you to use your quirk on us stunning him, so I can slap the cuffs." He explained. That was only part of the plan, the real plan was to get that mark off of Katsuki.
"What? You can't just—"
"Kyoka!" He shouted before glaring at her with intense eyes. "You have to let me do this, otherwise I don't know how long I can stall him before he goes on a rampage."
"Tch. Okay but you are heading to the infirmary after this got it?" She ordered as he chuckled.
"Got it." He smiled before turning back to Katsuki.
"If you nerds are done talking, can we get back to the action!? I wanna have a little fun before I burn you heroes to a crisp!" He shouted as his palms sparked explosions.
"Here I come!" Katsuki put his hands behind his back and blasted towards them. Izuku quickly pushed Kyoka to the side before rushing towards the blonde and faced him head on. As they met, their forehead clashed and headbutted each other. Katsuki aimed his hand towards Izuku's chest getting ready to send him flying, however Izuku was faster as he quickly punched the blonde's elbow breaking the bone.
"Agh! Shit!" The blonde said as he pulled his arm back and held it, Izuku took advantage and soon got behind Katsuki and cobra clutched him. "Let go of me!"
"Kyoka! DO IT NOW!" He shouted.
Kyoka gritted her teeth as she plugged her earphone jacks into her boots.
"Sorry about this!" She apologized before firing a high concentrated blast of sound towards them. The blast was enough to cause Katsuki to howl in pain as the blast reached his ears, Izuku gritted his teeth as he felt his ears ranging and he knew that they were starting to bleed but he gritted his teeth and bared it hanging on to Katsuki.
Katsuki was trying to use his hands to cover his ears or blast Kyoka but his ears were in so much pain that he felt himself getting slower and he collapsed to his knees.
Izuku took the opportunity to look at the blonde's neck and quickly raised his right hand before striking the blonde into unconsciousness. As he hit his neck, the greenette's hand landed right on the snake mark as it glowed before it the light died down and then the mark just faded away as if it was never there.
"HEROES WIN!"
Kyoka then stopped using her quirk once she saw Katsuki go down and then rushed towards Izuku who was groaned and rubbed his head.
"You okay?" Kyoka asked.
"Yeah, I'll just be a little deaf for awhile…" He paused before turning to her and smiled. "…Still thanks for helping me out."
"*sigh* Just don't do something like that again. I rather not have you self-sacrificing yourself like that every single time we have an exhibition match." She said as he chuckled nervously.
"I'll try not to do that." He said.
"Something tells me, you'll still do it anyway.' Kyoka thought before she saw Izuku slowly getting up before lifting Katsuki and carrying him on his back.
"Ugh." Both occupants turned to Denki who sat while groaning his head. He then looked at his surroundings and jumped up in surprise. "Whoa, what happened here?"
"Your partner happened." Kyoka answered as she pointed towards Katsuki.
"Oh, did we lose then?" He asked.
"What do you think?" She gave him a blank look.
"I was just asking, jeez no need to be so rude about it." Denki said while coming up to them and shook his head. "Then again, you seem like the type of girl that would do that."
That comment earned a jab as Kyoka pierced one of her earphone jacks into him and stunned him like he was being electrocuted which is ironic.
Izuku just laughed sheepishly while watching.
As Izuku and Katsuki were on their way to the infirmary, Kyoka and Denki made their way back to the monitor room, where they were bombarded by their classmates.
"AH! Young Jirou and Young Kaminari have returned!" All Might announced as he made his way towards the two. "I am glad that my students are safe and unharmed, forgive me for not acting on the situation as soon as Young Bakugo released that blast!"
"Whoa, no need to apologize sir!" Denki said as he waved his hands frantically. "It's not your fault."
"Plus, no one knew what that guy had in store for us. His quirk involves explosions so of course he had something that big up his sleeve." Kyoka added, while hiding the fact that she was angry at the blonde.
"Even so it was irresponsible of me as a teacher to allow it to happen and not stepping in. Therefore, I will be more careful with these training simulations from now on. I will not let a student of mine be harmed through unnecessary means." All Might said in a serious tone.
"Yes sir!" They both answered.
"Now, would anyone like to guess who the MVP of this match was?" All Might asked gazing over his students. He then spotted Momo with her hand raised. "Yes?"
"It was Denki sir. He was the only one that stayed on point. Katsuki instantly broke away from his partner and went to face Midoriya, and the way he was fighting the latter it looked like it was a personal matter. Midoriya threw himself head on into the blast recklessly with no self-care and did it again the second time. Kyoka also held her own until she started getting worried for her partner losing focus on her objective and then blasted him along with Bakugo during the second encounter. Out of the whole spectacle, Denki was the only one that actually stayed on task and did his role as a villain." Momo explained as everyone stared at her in stunned silence.
"She is very observant for her age." All Might thought before speaking loudly. "That is correct Young Yaoyorozu."
"Well excuse me for worrying about my partner." Kyoka muttered to herself as she turned her head away. Ochaco and Tsuyu however had other things on their minds.
'She's smiling.' Ochaco started as she gazed at Momo. 'She wasn't just watching the match; she was observing the match the entire time it went down and then when Katsuki became off….' Ochaco narrowed her eyes as she watched Momo. 'She enjoyed it… I'm watching her.'
'Katsuki, I hope you are okay ribbit.' Tsuyu thought back to the blonde, when she remembered the look he had on his face and she frowned. You haven't been like that in a long time.'
"I'm still shocked that I'm the MVP for this round. I mean barely did anything, all I did was zap-zap and that was it. Though for some reason, I feel like I'll be harshly judged if I used my big move." Denki added not noticing Kyoka slightly chuckle as she thought about him using too much electricity before turning into an idiot.
Ironically that will actually happen.
"Now we shall move on to the next match!" All Might shouted earning the others attention. The next few matches were a bit fast.
The first one involved Shoto and Mezo against Rikido and Koji. That match was over in an instant as Shoto instantly froze the entire building, trapping both Rikido and Koji in ice.
The next one was between Momo and Tenya vs. Hanta and Toru. That one was interesting to watch. Toru had the ability due to her stealth and Sero could use his quirk to capture anyone or escape if necessary. However, Tenya and Momo had the advantage. Tenya had superspeed so he could easily maneuver himself around fast enough to avoid the tapes, allowing him to catch Sero with ease. Momo had set the room with explosives that looked like Russian dolls around the room. Even if Toru had managed to sneak in and avoid the dolls, Momo was able to hear her movement and instantly created a net gun and had caught the former.
Up next was the match between Mina and Yuga vs. Ochaco and Fumikage.
Team B vs Team F starts now!
Ochaco was at the top floor staring at the bomb with curious look on her face as Fumikage stood beside her.
"Do you have any suggestions for how we should do this?" Fumikage asked.
"I'm thinking about it. From what I saw the other day, your quirk doesn't run well with light right?" Ochaco asked as he nodded his head.
"Yes, my quirk is weak against light but it's stronger when it blends with the shadows." Fumikage stated.
"So as long as there is darkness surveying the area, you have the advantage in power and stealth?" Ochaco guessed as he nodded his head.
"Correct."
Ochaco then had a grin on her face as she looked at the bomb and then at the ceiling before turning back to her partner.
'I got an idea." She stated.
"Let's hear it."
While on the ground level Yuga was running through the halls like a knight in shining armor…. Literally since his armor was twinkling and Mina was skating through the hall on acid thanks to the soles on her feet that allow her to do so without melting her shoe.
"Okay, let's take these guys down in one attack!" Mina said as Yuga twirled in his cape.
"Do you think this looks nice?" He asked showing his cape with a smile on his face. As they both continued down the hall, they both heard a growl in the distance. Looking ahead, they saw nothing but darkness and before they knew it, they felt something or someone past them like a lightning bolt before disappearing onto the other side that was also filled with darkness.
"What was that?"
"I do not know madam." Yuga replied as they both stared at the direction the shadowy figure moved into.
Suddenly another whiff of air flew by them, startled they both turned and saw that once again nothing was by them. Getting curious, Yuga readied his laser while Mina's hands dripped with acid ready to attack but they weren't expecting two things to happen.
Glowing red eyes in front of them, or that the shadow got bigger and let out a loud roar echoing through the building.
"RRRRROOOOOOAAAARRRRR!"
"AAAAHHHH!" Both teams shouted in shock at the sight of Dark Shadow. Yuga fired a laser at the entity as it dodged to the side continuing its destination. As it missed, Mina conjured up some Acid into small spheres before throwing them at Dark Shadow.
The entity also continuously dodged the attacks knowing that if it hurt him, then it would hurt its host. Dark Shadow let out another roar as it formed arms and claws, swinging wildly around the hallway as it clawed the walls and ceiling causing the teens to dodge the attack
"I'm going after the bomb, keep that it busy!" Mina shouted to her teammate as she started skating around the Dark Shadow before finding the steps and went through the door.
"You're not going anywhere!" Dark Shadow roared as it made a beeline for Mina only to get blocked when a laser beam had almost hit him. "Grrr…"
"Ton adversaire c'est moi, bete de l'ombre!" Yuga stated as Dark Shadow turned its attention to him before going after the blonde knight.
Back in the room, Ochaco was chuckling to herself as she heard Dark Shadow's roar with her hands behind her back. In the room, she had multiple debris floating above her all around the room that would give her advantage against Mina who she knew that would come after her since she was more agile and Fumikage would deal with Yuga.
Ochaco heard the sounds of Mina approaching and decided that it was time to defend. She pressed her fingers together making herself float in the air and floated up towards the ceiling above the door, pressing herself against it.
"Surprise!" Mina shouted as she came in view of the room but was confused when she saw no one inside. Mina slowly walked inside the room looking around for Ochaco but she never looked up towards the ceiling. "Where did she go?"
"Release!" The brunette harshly whispered before bouncing off the wall like a rocket towards Mina who turned around and let out a slight gasp at the attack.
The said girl quickly jumped out of the way to avoid the kick aimed for her. Ochaco quickly followed up with two more roundhouse kicks towards Mina who dodged them as well before doing a backflip to avoid one more kick.
Mina then conjured up some acid in her hands before throwing it up in the air forming a wall as it rained down. Ochaco quickly reached her hand out as a wire quickly shot out of wrist guard, wrapping itself around the piece of large rubble. The brunette then used her strength to pull the rubble and aimed it towards Mina who had her eyes wide.
"Oh crap!" She said as she ducked from the incoming attack. She looked up and notice that there were multiple pieces of rubble up the ceiling which meant Ochaco had a full arsenal for ammo.
The said brunette had grabbed two more pieces of rubble and threw them at Mina as she landed on the ground and grabbed a few more doing the same thing. Mina kept dodging the rubble performing multiple flips and at the last one she jumped over it.
Rushing in, Mina readied her acid in her hands to catch Ochaco off guard but the brunette smiled as she simply pressed her hands together and shouted.
"Release!"
All the rubble from above then came down from the ceiling crashing down to earth causing Mina to stop skating and jumped back when a piece of rubble almost hit her. She kept dodging the best she could to keep herself from getting hit never noticing that Ochaco had disappeared.
The brunette had kept use the smoke as cover since she knew where all of the rubble was going to hit and when to move at the right moment. After getting behind Mina without being spotted, she quickly grabbed the pinkette's arm before putting it behind her back and quickly using a takedown move before slapping a cuff on Mina.
"Gotcha!"
"Aw, man." Mina whined as All Might announced the winner of the exhibition match.
The last match was of one with Tsuyu and Minoru going up against Eijiro and Mashirao. Tsuyu and Minoru were walking along the halls quietly as they were getting ready for the fight with the heroes. Tsuyu was thinking about her opponents while Minoru was staring off into a space or more so at Tsuyu's butt.
'The Hero course is the best class ever. Every single female in our class is wearing a skintight spandex suit and two of them are practically naked…' Minoru thought to himself as he stared at Tsuyu's suit. Just as he was about to say something to her, the frog turned around and quickly grabbed him by his cape before giving him her death stare.
"Let me make one clear Minoru…. You do anything to me that even revolves around sexual harassment, then I will paralysis your body before cutting your limbs off piece by piece and then force feed you your own parts and then bury you in the deepest part of the earth where they never find your body, all the while you are slowly dying in agony. Is that clear?" Tsuyu warned him as the said boy went frozen stiff at her threat.
Minoru was not terrified of her because she said it with a straight face. No, he saw a demon... no entity behind her that was giving him a creepy smile that meant she would follow up on her promise. Nodding his head like a rattle he whimpered and spoke.
"Yes ma'amIswearIwon'ttouchyoursexybodyinanyway!" He said before realizing what came out of his mouth and freaked out even more.
"What was that!?" She asked in an ominous tone.
"I mean yes ma'am." He said again, feeling like he was about to shit himself right now.
"Good. Then we understand each other." Tsuyu said as she dropped the little midget and turned around and stared at the door leading to the hallway. If she was honest, she had no idea why she was acting like that. Maybe she was still stressed out about Katsuki and wanted to do nothing more than visit him at the moment, but Ochaco had coaxed her into calming down and finish this first. Once they were done than they could head back.
Taking a small breath, Tsuyu turned back to Minoru who had shrieked in fear that he had done something wrong.
"Minoru, what is your quirk?" She had asked.
"Myqinorfaoeogjnoeinab-" He had spoken in a fast pace before Tsuyu had whacked him upside the head with her tongue.
"Calm down *ribbit*, I'm not going to kill you." She said earning a small relived sigh from her partner. "Your quirk?"
"Oh right," Minoru remembered as he reached up into his hair and pulled out a sphere from his head holding in front of him. "My quirk is called Pop Off. It allows me to remove these spheres from my head and a new instantly comes. They glue themselves to any surface, limb or object, oh but it won't stick to me. I just bounce off these things."
"And how long do they last?"
"At least for a day, if I'm in good condition. However, if I rip off too many in little time my head will start to bleed and I'll start dying."
"Nice to know." Tsuyu said as she heard the announcement and motioned Minoru to follow her. "Let's go."
As the villains were waiting for their opponents, Eijiro and Mashirao were running through the building thinking of a plan.
"So, which one do you think will encounter first?" The redhead asked the tailman.
"Not sure, it could be Tsuyu because her quirk allows her the element of surprise but I'm not sure about the other one, we have no idea of Minoru's quirk. Either way, we should not underestimate them. Our best bet is to take them on one at a time as a team."
"Yeah I can get behind that." Eijiro agreed with a smile on face. They then saw a corridor in front of them and ran towards it but before they could they stopped when a ball coming for them.
"Look out." Mashirao said as he used his tail to grab Eijiro and pulled him back as the ball hit the ground.
"Got you now heroes!" They looked up and saw Minoru standing on top of a railing with a ball in his left hand that he was tossing to himself. "You won't get pass me!" He shouted as he started taking off multiple spheres off his hair and firing them at the heroes.
"Incoming." Eijiro shouted as he and Mashirao quickly dodged the projectiles and then hid behind two pillars for cover. "He seems pretty confident."
"If we can plan this right, we can take him by the element of surprise. I'll get his attention when you see an opportunity take it." Mashirao stated as he ran the other way.
"Right!"
Mashirao then jumped out into the open before being spotted as Minoru saw him.
"Found You!" He shouted before throwing more of his spheres at the hero. Mashirao dodged each of them as he parkour over the desk and threw the room before jumping up to a ledge. He was almost there but he felt himself descend when he couldn't grab it with his hands and then quickly used his tail to grab it.
Grabbing it, he pulled himself up with his tail and sat up on the ledge. He looked around and noticed that the spheres that Minoru had fired were still in the same place they were. They had not dissolved or disappeared ever since.
'Do these things run on a time limit or is it something else?' Mashirao thought before moving his head to dodge another sphere.
"Come down and face me!" Minoru said as he pulled off another ball but let out a slight wince as he felt blood starting to ooze from his scalp. He was unaware thought that Eijiro had gotten behind him.
"Got ya!" Eijiro shouted as Minoru ceased his fire and then turned around before feeling a punch to the cheek that sent him flying.
"AAAAHHHHHH!" Minoru yelled as he flew through the air.
"Now's my chance." Mashirao mentally thought as he dashed off the ledge towards the villain. "Hah!" He shouted as he twisted himself in midair and used his tail to slam into Minoru.
"AAHHHHH!" Minoru shouted before he bounced off some of his spheres before finally landing on the ground. "Uggghhh." He groaned with swirls in his eyes.
As Mashirao landed in front of him, Eijiro came over with a grin on his face.
"Nice job."
"Wouldn't work if it weren't for you." Eijiro commented back as he stared down at Minoru. "Let's slap the cuffs on him and then head for the bomb." He said as Mashirao nodded his head.
They were about to do that when Minoru started laughing.
"What's so funny?"
"Haha, you fools! You never saw it coming, we had already beaten you before you even started!" Minoru said.
"What are you talking about?" Mashirao asked before he suddenly grunted and collapsed to the ground.
"Mashirao! Ugh!" Eijiro shouted to his partner and was about to help him until he himself felt something hit his body and he fell backwards. "What the- what's going on?"
"My body… I can't move…"
"Same…. Here…." Mashirao responded as he tried to move his limbs but everything felt incredibly numb. "What happened?"
"That would be because of me, *ribbit*." All three boys looked up and saw something on the wall that was moving. Soon, it turned out to be Tsuyu perched on the wall like a frog as she exited her camouflage and jumped down to them. "You guys are paralyzed."
"What…?"
"I had coated myself and Minoru here with toxin from my hands that causes paralysis. Once you touch him, your bodies immediately became numb and that was it." Tsuyu stated as she walked over to him. "Even if you did avoid or somehow passed Minoru, you would still have to get through me and you both look like you're more of close combat fighters than long range."
"Well damn, you had us figured out." Eijiro chuckled.
"Indeed, I have to admit that is pretty impressive." Mashirao said as his hands were cuffed along with Eijiro's.
"VILLIAN TEAM WINS!" All Might announced. Once that was over, Tsuyu had uncuffed them and had tapped their shoulders and suddenly both boys blinked as they felt their bodies become less numb.
"Hey, I can move again." Eijiro said as he slowly stood up along with Mashirao.
"Yes," The tail user started before he stumbled a bit. "But I thought you paralyzed us."
"I did, but once I touched you guys all the effects of the paralysis were instantly removed." Tsuyu explained.
"Wow, that's pretty amazing. Can all frogs do that?" Eijiro commented and then questioned.
"No, I think it's because of my quirk being Frog I may have all the characteristics and traits of each frog that secrete paralysis." Tsuyu lied, knowing that if she said it was because of her tenant then they would raise questions.
"I figured I could kill two birds with one stone, *ribbit*." Tsuyu croaked.
"Nevertheless, you are worthy classmate and I am glad that we had this battle." Mashirao said as he gave her a bow and Eijiro simply gave her a smile.
"No need to bow, let's head back to class." Tsuyu said as they all started walking before they were stopped by a loud screech.
"W-Wait what about me!?" Minoru shouted.
"Oh right." Tsuyu as she walked back and then slapped him on the head. "There you go."
"Owwie, that hurt!" Minoru whined as he got up and followed after her.
"Now that was a bit much." Eijiro said before Tsuyu gave him a blank look.
"He was staring at me with a lewd expression." She explained before walking ahead with Minoru following her in tow rubbing the bump on his head.
"Well, I guess he deserves it?" Eijiro said with a confused expression while Mashirao nodded his head.
After the last team came back to meet with the class, Tsuyu had made her way to Ochaco who immediately gave her a hug.
"Well done, Tsu. You did great out there." Ochaco complimented as Tsuyu gave her a smile.
"*ribbit* thanks. I also dealt with the pervert before we started." The Pestilence user said as the brunette shook her head.
"And I approve, although I kind of wish I just float him to space." Ochaco said as the brunette thought about more ideas of making Mineta disappear.
"Don't worry, you'll get your chance." Before Ochaco could speak once more, All Might had stopped in front of them with the smile on his face.
"You should be proud. Each and everyone of you had perform well in these exhibition matches, some of had wins and some of us have losses but don't let that drag you down. These exercises are to help you as a class to be prepared for any situation and battle you will encounter in the future." All Might explained as everyone nodded their heads.
"Your matches will be delivered to your homeroom teacher, so expect reviews from him tomorrow. And with that being the last thing for today, I'm off!" All Might said before dashing away from the class.
"Well he sure rushed off pretty quickly!" Denki commented.
"A heroic exit, we should all learn from his example and strive to aim higher." Tenya said with determination in his voice earning strange looks from his classmates.
"From watching that? Are you sure?" Mina asked in confusion.
"Just be glad it's a normal class, I don't want another teacher to add more stress to our minds more than we should have." Hanta said as everyone thought back to Aizawa and all nodded their heads in agreement before going back to the lockers to change.
Izuku was in the nurse office along with Eri who was staring at her uncle that was currently on the bed with a few bandages. After getting reprimanded by Recovery Girl, he had decided to stay to watch over his brother while also trying to figure out what had happened to him.
The black mark he had on his neck earlier, the greenette knew that something was off the moment he saw that mark on his neck. He was lost on what it was, as far as Izuku knew Katsuki never had any trouble or knew skills with his tenant that would cause him to go battle induced again.
The blonde may like to fight but he knows when to tone it down and has no problem with it if others are caught in the crossfire but today, he had ignored all of that and trying to fight Izuku.
As Izuku remained pondering in his thoughts, Eri was on the side poking Katsuki in the cheek as if it would wake him up before she had to stopped when she heard two voices in the air.
"We're here." Tsuyu announced as she walked straight inside and over to the bedside where Katsuki was with Ochaco trailing behind her.
"Thanks for waiting up for me Tsu, it's not like I didn't want to see Katsuki too." The brunette said in sarcasm before she looked and noticed that her daughter was poking the blonde's cheek and then ran up to her hugging her legs. As the brunette smile, she picked Eri and held her in her arms then turned to Izuku who seemed to be in deep thought and saw the speech bubbles appearing above his head but it was completely silent.
'This must be serious, if he isn't muttering on what had just happened.' Ochaco thought as she sat down next to Izuku. She then poked him in the cheek like Eri did with Katsuki which seemed to bring the greenette out of his mind.
"Huh? Oh, hey Ochaco, Tsuyu." Izuku greeted them before getting slapped with a tongue.
"It's Tsu." Tsuyu reminded him as he stared blankly at her before letting out a reluctant sigh.
"Anyway, how did the other matches go?" He asked.
"Oh, they went great. Fumikage's quirk is really useful, he was able to hold off Yuga and manage to separate Mina leading her to me. And I was able to use that new wire out of my gauntlets." She stated.
"The wires?"
"Yeah, I figured I could practice with that to help me gain control over my Horseman Weapon. Famine says it was ok." Ochaco added.
"That's good." Izuku said while nodding his head. "What about your partner, Tsu?"
"WHACK!"
"Ow." Izuku groaned.
"It's Tsuyu. And Minoru wasn't a bad partner, well once I threatened to kill him if he harassed me in any way." She stated bluntly as Izuku sweat drop at her words.
"She was serious." Ochaco sighed in exasperation.
'I'm starting to think Katsuki's rubbing off on her.' Izuku thought before thinking about the other matches. "And the other students?"
"The other students in our class all have really good quirks but they all could definitely improve in some areas as well. Not all of them are use to close combat." Ochaco commented.
"You really are an airhead." Tsuyu said as the brunette felt a jab at her words.
Ochaco was about to reply when they all heard a groan and saw Katsuki was slowly opening his eyes.
"Urgh… what the-?" Katsuki groaned as his eyes met Tsuyu's who gave him a soft smile.
"Your awake." She stated with joy in her voice. She move her hands as she slowly helped him sit up from the bed. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine… a little dizzy but nonetheless I'm fine." Katsuki said as he turned to Izuku. "How are the other students?"
"Kyoka and Denki are okay. I was able to compress the blast before it caused any major damage." Izuku said.
"That's good." The blonde said before giving a frown. "I'm sorry for causing a ruckus."
"Katsuki, what happened to you?" Ochaco asked in a soft tone. "You went back into a battle maniac for a few minutes."
"I… I don't know…." He admitted as he looked down at his lap. "One second, I was just fighting Izuku and then this weird thing happened. My reasoning was slowly disappearing and I couldn't hear anything, the only thing I cared about was just winning. My head didn't hear anything, I forgot the extras, forgot about ALL Might, the only thing I cared about was just fighting Izuku." Katsuki started as he slowly took deep breaths.
Tsuyu slowly reached over and grabbed one of his hands with her own, as Izuku and Ochaco huddle closer while Eri climbed onto the bed.
"And then my head started pounding. My tenant he was calling me, but his voice sounded like it was getting further and further away until I couldn't hear him anymore. It was blink." He said.
"That's really unsettling." Ochaco noted.
"Yeah, we're get ready for this. When I thought I was alone, I saw this snake come out of nowhere."
"A snake?" Tsuyu asked.
"A giant one at that. It circled around me over and over as if it was observing me or waiting for me to make the next move. I was going to attack with my quirk but my body was numb, I couldn't move and then before I knew it the snake bit me and that was it. I don't remember anything after that." Katsuki explained.
All three teens have frowns on their faces. They first thought that Katsuki was losing control over his tenant but him and War had a good connection and bit of a bond for battle so there was on way that the blonde would lose control so it had to be something else.
Izuku then just thought about something as he turned back to his brother.
"Wait a second, you said snake, right?"
"Yeah what about it?" Katsuki asked.
"While I was fighting you, I noticed a mark on your neck and like it was the same snake that appeared in your head." Izuku revealed as everyone eyes widened in alarm.
"What?"
"So, are you saying someone had intentionally planted something in my head?" Katsuki growled as Izuku nodded his head.
"Yeah but whatever it was, it disappeared from your neck as soon as our fight was over. Did you feel anything after you went into unconsciousness?" He asked as the blonde shook his head.
"No, as soon as you beat me, the snake spat me out before hissing and then left my head." Katsuki said.
"Well then, that is very concerning. I guess we need to be on alert from now on, whoever put that spell on you had to be one of our classmates." Izuku stated in a serious tone.
"And I think I have a good idea on who it is." Ochaco added earning their attention. "The whole time you two were fighting, I noticed that Momo was watching you guys with a calm expression on her face. She didn't even look worried for a second instead she was intrigued."
"The pony-tail?" Katsuki asked before his eyes blinked in realization. "Wait, now that I think about it before our match, I did bump into her. We didn't talk or anything just an accidental not seeing where she was going an all of that."
"You think she was one that planted the snake on you?"
"Let's not jump to conclusions, *ribbit.*" Tsuyu said finally speaking up her own thoughts. "Momo's quirk is creation where she can create anything well at least from her body."
"She can?" Izuku asked.
"Yes, and before you can start muttering no I didn't get a good hand on it. It seems like she could only create anything non-living object but other than that I don't have anything. You're going to have to watch the fight for yourself if you want to learn more." Tsuyu quickly added causing the boy to deflate.
"Anyway, we should watch out for her. If she gets too close anyone of us, then we can go ahead and deal with her but for now just remain cautious." Ochaco suggested.
"Fine." Katsuki relented as Tsuyu gently ran her fingers through his.
"Now that that's dealt with, what are we going to have dinner?" Ochaco asked.
"Katsudon!" Izuku suggested as Eri cheered with him.
"Katsudon!" She repeated.
"Katsudon, it is then." Ochaco agreed while Katsuki rolled his eyes.
"Nerds." He grumbled while Tsuyu laughed at watching her friends/family enjoying themselves to their heart's content.
