Author's Note: So sorry for the delay in an update, like I said when I started this fanfiction I was unsure when I will be able to update, and I hope no one is mad at me for it. I was going back through what I have written to figure out my timeline and where I'm at in this story, and also had some unexpected curveballs thrown into my personal life. At any rate, here is the next chapter and I hope you all enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or Disney, I am writing this story for the fun of it.

Chapter 22

Two days later, at Gringotts (Thursday, November20th)

"Good morning, Minerva, how are you doing today?" Axewielder asks once Minerva has settled into her office after Fawkes graciously offered to flash her and Harry to Gringotts instead of flooing or apparating.

"I am doing well Axewielder, although my plate is quickly getting full again. I thought taking a year off teaching would help me relax, not be quite as adventurous as it has become."

"May you please elaborate? I know we are here to do an inheritance test on young Hendrick, but to be honest, I need some new gossip to pass along to my wife, and honestly, I quite enjoy our meetings, which is why I haven't booked any other appointments apart from you for today." Axewielder explains, even though he knows that his boss may get mad at him for not having as many appointments as his fellow goblins, but with Minerva McGonagall as a client, he has learned that she is hands down his best client in history.

"That is quite something to hear Axewielder, I understand time is money to you and your people, but at the same time I am glad to hear that you are willing to sacrifice the happiness of your other clients to spend more time with me and my little family, which seems to be getting bigger every week. You see, I have allowed Remus to move in with Harry and I, and now I have Sirius Black planning on coming over every Friday night for a movie night with his godson and lesson planning since he accepted the offer to become the new History of Magic professor at Hogwarts. Not only does Harry now have his 2 uncles in his life, I am still struggling on hiring people for the daycare, planning the grand opening for the beginning of January, trying to help Remus and Amelia dig up birth records of squibs that have been sent off to the muggle world so that we may be able to hire them to work at Hogwarts, and also help you and your fellow curse breakers to help locate the rest of the horcruxes. I apologize for my rant Axewielder, but my plate is quickly becoming overflowing, and I need some help and I know I need to delegate some of my tasks, but my circle of friends is quite small and I'm not sure who to reach out to for help." Minerva explains.

"Well Minerva, you won't have to worry about as much as you fear. We have reached out to Lord Black, and he voluntarily handed over Bellatrix's vault to us as an apology for her using our bank as a safehouse for Dark Magic, we have already cleansed Helga Hufflepuff's cup, and we plan on returning it to Hogwarts once all the Founder's relics have been found. If we can find all the artifacts that belonged to the Founder's, I think it would be wonderful to have them on display for all of the students to see." Axewielder explains.

"That's wonderful to hear, may I ask if Amelia has been able to get to Azkaban to get Lucius' blood to unlock the hidden drawer in his office?"

"Amelia plans to get the blood from Lucius this upcoming Saturday, when she has guard duty at Azkaban, and Alastor Moody has given her a warrant for a pint of Lucius' blood in order to unlock his office bar to cleanse that Horcrux." Axewielder says.

"That's wonderful to hear Axewielder, are there any more updates on the hunt for the rest of them?" Minerva asks.

"Not as of yet, but since Sirius has taken up the mantle of Lord Black, he has now gained the rights to be the sole owner of his family's main house, Grimmauld Place, and has offered quite a generous contract to Gringott's to go through the place and remove and cleanse any dark artifacts within the residence." Axewielder explains.

"What about his parents, don't they still live there?"

"His father's health has been rapidly failing and has since been sent to a retirement residence for elderly wizards, and his mother Walburga has fled the house, and no one has heard from her since Tom Riddle failed to kill young Hendrick."

"Why couldn't anyone send Albus to that retirement residence, even smack him with a strong compulsion charm to voluntarily move to the place? It would have saved everyone a weekly migraine." Minerva asks.

"Unfortunately, Albus had eyes and ears everywhere around the castle, so it would have been near impossible to hit him with a compulsion charm to force him to retire. The good news is, it all worked out in the end, Albus is gone from this world, and he will never be able to endanger anyone again." Axewielder explains.

"That makes sense I guess, now, shall we do Hendrick's inheritance test? I would personally like to know who else he is related to."

"Yes, we shall, are there any questions before we start?"

"Does the inheritance test just show magical relatives, or will it show muggle relatives as well?" Minerva asks, curious as to how it would work.

"It will show everyone Minerva, the parchment we will be using is enchanted to show everyone he is related to, however distantly. It will also show your relatives since your blood is also in his veins. The results will show up in three different colours; black is muggle relatives, blue is squib relatives, red is relatives that have passed on, and green is living magical relatives." Axewielder says.

"For goblins, that sounds incredibly straightforward." Minerva says jokingly.

"The only thing we enjoy making complicated and placing loopholes in for us are contracts, it is quite enjoyable to make something easier for the young muggleborns that grace our halls. Now, all we need is for young Hendrick to place 7 drops of blood on this parchment and after 7 minutes we will see everyone Hendrick is related to." Axewielder explains.

"Harry, can you come here please? Axewielder needs your help with some work." Minerva asks.

"Can Pa'foo help too? Pa'foo wants to help." Harry asks, holding up his stuffed dog while walking over to Axewielder's desk.

"Of course, Padfoot can help, please bring him, and place him right beside this parchment please." Axewielder says. Once Harry has used the small step stool to get up to his desk and place Padfoot beside Axewielder, Axewielder looks at Harry and says, "Thank you, young Hendrick, now, may I see your right hand? I just need to gently poke your finger and I will heal it as soon as we are done."

"Ok, Axy, here you go." Harry says as he holds out his hand for the friendly goblin that his mama Minnie likes talking to all the time. Axewielder chuckles at Harry's nickname for him, and using a needle, Axewielder pokes Harry's finger as gently as he can, and once the required 7 drops have fallen onto the parchment, he heals Harry's hand and allows him to go back to playing with the rest of his stuffed animals.

"Thank you, Harry, would you like Padfoot back? His job is done, and he was a big help."

"No Axy, you keep Pa'foo, he help you like he help me." Harry replies, not seeing Minerva's jaw hit the floor with that statement.

"Well, thank you Harry, I will keep Padfoot right beside me and he will help me every day at work." Axewielder replies.

"That was very thoughtful Harry, when we are done, we will go to the toy store and find you a new stuffed animal if you like. Axewielder, has it been long enough yet?" Minerva asks once she saw Harry nod his head, looking forward to getting a new toy.

"Two more minutes Minerva, then we shall see all we want to see, now, while we wait, how is everything going for the daycare centre?"

"Molly and I will be finishing up the decorating tomorrow and start interviewing personnel shortly, but to be honest I'm not sure if I have time to help with the interviews between watching Harry, helping Remus when he transforms and helping Sirius plan lessons. Not to mention I need to start figuring out what I'm going to do when I become Headmistress next year." Minerva says.

"Minerva, please stop stressing over the things that are out of your control. Since I noticed how quickly your plate has been filling up, I took the liberty of asking muggleborns that have been in here previously for inheritance tests if they were seeking employment and did pre-interviews for all the ones who said yes. They were happy to give me a copy of a resume and a copy of their Hogwarts results, both O.W.L.s an N.E. , and this stack is applicants that I approve of and I will send them to Molly."

"Thank you, Axewielder, and just to let you know I think Fawkes would agree to drop them off to Molly, as long as the boys don't throw paint at him." Minerva says and looks to Fawkes and sees him nodding his head in agreement.

"Thank you, Fawkes, that saves us using an old owl from here. Anyways, here are the resumes and when you come back, I'll make sure there's a bowl of mixed fruit for you." With that, Fawkes took the stack of resumes and flashed out of the office. "Now, it has been the required 7 minutes, let's see how your family has grown. Harry, would you like to join us?" Axewielder asks.

"Ok, can I sit by Pa'foo?" Harry asks as he walks back to Axewielder's desk.

"Of course, you can Harry. Now, lets look at your heritage." Axewielder replies. Once Harry is settled beside Padfoot and Axewielder, Minerva and Axewielder look at the parchment, and are shocked at the results.

"Oh my goodness! I knew my family had passed, but I never knew I was related to the Ravenclaws!" Minerva exclaims.

"It seems so Minerva, and I know we can go into further detail than what you have pointed out above, but I feel we would be here for more than a week, since young Hendrick has quite a family tree." Axewielder replies.

"Thank you so much, Axewielder, now this information should help you validate what Lily was researching, that muggleborn children are descended from squibs." Minerva explains.

"That it does Minerva, Lily was on the right track, but I doubt she was able to research her family tree before her untimely demise. On a brighter note, we have finally found one of the main families we have been searching for."

"Which family is that? The only connection I'm seeing is that my son may be able to claim half of Hogwarts since he is a descendant of 2 of the founders." Minerva asks.

"We knew that only one of the Peverell brothers had a child long ago, but since it was a daughter, and a squib, they hid her from most of the magical world, but it seems that she managed to fall in love with a Potter and merged the Peverell's with the Potters." Axewielder explains, looking back at the parchment, he continues. "This means, that young Hendrick is heir, not only to the Potters, but also to the Peverells and when he comes of age, he will be the rightful owner to the Deathly Hallows."

"I thought the Deathly Hallows were a myth, a children's bedtime story. My mother used to read me the Tale of the Three Brothers when I was a young girl." Minerva says.

"As we have found out, fact is stranger than fiction, and I can assure you, the Hallows are real, you may recall a certain student would seem to vanish at the most random times."

"I knew of Remus being snuck out of the school during the full moon, but the school Healer stopped sneaking him out at the beginning of the spring term of his 5th year." Minerva replies.

"That would be because James Potter and his friends became animagi around that timeframe, and also used James' invisibility cloak to go to the Shrieking Shack via the tunnel under the Whomping Willow." Axewielder replies.

"So that's how they pulled off all their pranks during their years at school, but where did he get an invisibility cloak? They're rare enough as it is."

"He inherited it from his father, and it has been passed down from father to son over the generations, so can you guess who originally owned it?" Axewielder asked.

"Are you saying that my son is related to one of the three brothers in the story that my mother used to read me?!"

"That is exactly what the heritage test is saying, not me." Axewielder says, "Hendrick's many great-grandfathers, Ignotus Peverell, the youngest of the three brothers in the Tale of the Three Brothers, was the original owner of Death's Cloak of Invisibility, or at least a portion of it."

"Oh my word! I never thought that would happen, but what else does that mean?" Minerva asks.

"If you allow me to speak freely, Minerva, I will tell you more about who else young Hendrick is related to." Axewielder states.

"Is it good or bad?" Minerva asks.

"Depends on how you look at it. As you can see, Ignotus Peverell was not the only one of the three brothers to reproduce. The middle child, Cadmus Peverell, had an affair with a local woman shortly after his fiancée had passed, and unfortunately ended his life before she could tell him that she was pregnant. Following this line of pregnancies and cousins marrying cousins for generations, before we come to the Gaunt Family, and as you can see from that, Merope Gaunt gave birth to Tom Marvolo Riddle." Axewielder explains, while showing Minerva that branch of the family tree that has more branches intertwined than a Celtic knot.

"So that means, that my son is distantly related to the madman that tried to kill him?!"

"Yes, but that isn't what I was getting at. Hendrick here is distantly related to Salazaar Slytherin, by which I mean Salazaar was a many greats-uncle, which means it may be possible for him to be a parselmouth." Axewielder explains.

"With the way my luck is going ever since I adopted him, I would bet my annual salary that he will be a parselmouth Axewielder."

"There will be no need for betting on that Minerva, I said it is possible for him to be one, but at the same time, what is life without a surprise every now and again?"

"Life would be normal, Axewielder. Well, as normal as life could be with magic."

"As the muggles say, 'Normal is just a setting on the washing machine.'"

"I guess your right Axewielder. Now, is there anything else you wish to discuss with me? Or may I take my son shopping, since I still need to buy him a bed, so he stops flying around his room in his crib."

"Now that is something that I would like to see, but I am pretty sure we have covered everything we need to today, so go buy your son some new toys and a bed. Have a good rest of the afternoon Minerva, and Hendrick, thank you for Padfoot, I'm sure he will be a great help to me in the future."

"You welcome, Axy, bye Pa'foo, bye Axy." Harry replies as he gathers the rest of his toys and places them in his backpack. Once his toys, minus Padfoot, is packed up, Minerva takes Harry's hand and begins to leave Axewielder's office.

"Thank you again for all your help Axewielder, I will see you again in the near future and bring a memory of Harry's flying crib escapades."

"I look forward to seeing that memory and the both of you, have fun storming the castle." Axewielder replies, while watching the small family happily walk out of his office and looking forward to when young Hendrick turns 11 and be able to claim his heirship rings.

Shortly after Minerva and Harry left Gringott's, they made their way over to muggle London to go to the local mattress store. "Now Harry, we have to go into the bed store to get you your big kid's bed, then we will go to the toy store down the road, ok?"

"I want toy now." Harry replies.

"I know you want a new toy now, but we need to get you a new bed first."

"No, new toy, no bed!" Harry begins whining.

"If we don't get you a new bed, you won't get a new toy." Minerva replies. As much as she doesn't want Harry to have a meltdown outside the store, she knows she can't give into his demands.

"Fine! But I don't want bed!" Harry reluctantly agrees, knowing that no matter what he says, he knows he won't get away with the temper tantrum he's currently having.

"We will find you a bed that you like Harry, and we will try to be quick about it, because it's way past your nap time."

"I not tired mama." Harry states defiantly. "I wanna go to park."

"Ok, we will go to the park after we buy you a new bed, how does that sound?"

"Ok mama." Harry says happily. With that, Harry takes Minerva's hand, and they enter the store. Shortly after they enter the store and get to the children's section, a sales associate comes up to them, seeing Minerva struggle to keep Harry focused on the current task.

"Good afternoon, my name is Mandy, do you need any help finding anything?"

"Hello, yes, I am looking for a toddler bed for my son, what do you have in stock?" Minerva asks.

"Well, may I ask what type of personality does your son have, and how old is he?" Mandy asks, knowing that every child has different personalities and like different styles of beds.

"He is 15 months old, a fairly happy child, loves the outdoors and loves pretending he's a bird." Minerva replies.

"Well, I know a lot of young boys his age love our race car beds, but I think I've got something that would suit your son a lot better, follow me please." With that, Mandy starts guiding Minerva and Harry to the toddler section and quickly takes them past the race car beds and princess canopy beds. Within a couple of minutes Mandy stops in front of the newest style of toddler bed. "This is one of my favourite styles of beds we have for young children. It's fairly new to the market, this bedframe makes the child feel like he's in a bird's nest. It's a standard size toddler bed, but you can buy an expansion pack to expand the bed as the child grows, so that he can keep the bed until he's almost through elementary school." Mandy explains.

"Well, that would go well with the decorations in his room and our surrounding scenery. How much is the bed and the expansion pack?" Minerva asks, knowing she can afford it, but was genuinely happy with the help she was getting from Mandy.

"The main bedframe is $150.00 plus tax, the mattress is another $20.00 and the expansion pack is $100.00, so it would be $270.00 plus tax." Mandy replies, suddenly worried that this mother would be unable to afford the package.

"That's actually quite reasonably priced. I thought that it would be at least twice that much from what my brother has said about buying furniture for his daughter." Minerva replies.

"I agree, and I honestly have no idea why furniture for young girls is more, do you need to talk to your husband before purchasing the set?" Mandy innocently asks.

"No, I don't. My husband died 5 years ago, and to be honest I adopted my son earlier this month after his parents passed away." Minerva says, trying to keep her composure, since her husband's death still hits her from time to time.

"I am so sorry for bringing it up. I had no idea, and I apologize for assuming anything about your life." Mandy apologizes profusely, and quietly promises never to judge another person that comes into the store.

"It's alright Mandy. Now Harry, do you like this bed?" Minerva asks.

"Yes mama, can Fawkes sweep with me now?" Harry asks, happily attempting to climb into it and start jumping on it.

"Harry, please do not climb on that, and that will be up to Fawkes, since you know how much he loves his perch in your room." Minerva replies.

"Ok mama. Can we go to park now?" Harry asks, happy to be done in the bed store.

"We will go to the park shortly. First, we must pay for it and load it into the car." Minerva replies, grateful that she drove her car to the Leaky Cauldron before their bank appointment, otherwise she would have a hard time explaining why she has no method of transportation for her, Harry, and their purchase. "Do you happen to carry any dark brown bedsheets, Mandy? I would like to keep with the outdoors theme if possible." Minerva asks, just remembering about bedsheets and blankets for her son's new bed.

"Yes, they are a couple aisles over, if you would like, I can show you where exactly where they are so you can take your son to the park sooner."

"Thank you, that would be wonderful, come on Harry, lets go buy you a few more things, then we will go to the park."

"Ok mama." With that, Minerva loads her cart with the bedframe, mattress, and expansion pack, and quickly follows Mandy to the sheet aisle. As Mandy's pointing out the different bedsheets that would help accentuate Harry's room, Harry decides that he wants to go find the toy aisle and silently wanders away from his mother. Once Minerva has chosen the bedsheets that she likes, she turns to grab Harry and notices he's not there. "Harry?! Where are you? Mandy, can you alert your coworkers to lockdown the store until we find him." Minerva asks frantically.

"Of course, ma'am." With that, Mandy grabs her walkie-talkie and calls her manager and orders an immediate lockdown until Harry's found. "We are on the lookout for a fifteen-month-old boy that goes by the name of Harry, last seen wearing blue jeans and a light green t shirt. He's got messy black hair and just shy of two feet tall." Once she's gotten word that the store is locked down, she looks at Minerva, "Do you know where he might wander off to?"

"I told him we'd go to the toy store after this to get him a new stuffed animal, he decided to give his old one to my account manager at my bank." Minerva replies, "do you have a toy section here?"

"It's on the other side of the store, do you think that's where he went?" Not a second after Mandy asks this, her radio goes off, "Mandy, do you copy? This is Nicky over in toys, do you copy?" "I copy Nicky, have you found Harry?" Mandy asks.

"I've got him, we are by the puzzles. Apparently, he's looking for a new Pa'foo?" Minerva hears over the radio.

"Thanks, Nicky, I will be over in 2 minutes with his mother, once we get there, we will cancel the lockdown." By the time Mandy has reclipped her radio to her hip, Minerva has already started sprinting towards the toy section, glad that they were able to find her son. Since she's so focused on getting to Harry, she doesn't notice that someone else is in her path until he starts talking, "Watch where you're-" was all he could say before the wind got knocked out of him and found himself flat on the floor with the wind knocked out of him.

"Oh! My goodness! I am soo sorry about that sir! I am trying to get to my son! I'm sorry, I didn't see you." Minerva says, while picking herself up from the ground. "Here, let me help you up." She reaches her hand out to the man, and he accepts it.

"Bloody hell woman, you sure know how to make an entrance." The man said as he takes her hand and as he's getting up, he notices how beautiful the woman who knocked him over is. "You said you're trying to get to your son? Where is he, why isn't he with you?"

"He decided to sneak away from me while I was picking out new bedsheets for him, that's why they put a lockdown on the store by the way. Now, I must go get my son." Minerva replies, while thinking that as cute as the man is, her son is more important.

"Well, mind if I join you, I would love to meet the young man who has caused so much trouble in such a short time. Mark MacDougall, at your service."

'Harry's just like his father in that regard.' Minerva thinks to herself. "Minerva McGonagall, now if you're going to come, best keep up." Minerva replies as she starts sprinting once again towards her son. Mark can only smile as he starts sprinting as well to keep up with the Scottish lass that has quickly captured his attention, 'shame she's married.' Mark thinks.

"There mama! Hi mama!" Harry says happily once Minerva skids to a stop near her son.

"Hendrick James Potter-McGonagall! Never run off like that again! You had me scared half to death!" Minerva yells, "Now, what was so important that you could not stay near me?"

"New toys mama." Harry replies. "Who behind you?"

"Mark MacDougall, now young man, you should know better than to run off all alone, you could have been hurt."

"Exactly." Minerva agrees, "Now, because of this little stunt, we are going straight home. No park, and no new toys. Am I clear?" Minerva says, knowing that Harry isn't going to be happy, but he must learn that all actions have consequences.

"Yes mama." Harry says sadly.

"Good, now come on, lets get you and your new bed home, and I will tell your uncles that you're not allowed to have any dessert for a week because of this." With that, in order to make sure Harry can't wander off again, she places him in the cart and wandlessly and silently casts a mild sticking charm to him. "Well Mark, it was nice meeting you, but I should complete my purchase and get my son home and start his punishment." Minerva says as she starts heading towards the checkout with a bed and an unhappy toddler.

"Why do you live with his uncles? Where's the lad's father?" Mark asks, while cringing to himself as he's trying to get his brain unscrambled. 'The lass would make a fine rugby player with the strength she used to plow me over. I'm surprised I don't have a concussion.' Mark thinks to himself.

"My husband passed away five years ago, and Harry's biological parents died earlier this month, and since they appointed me as godmother and preferrable guardian, I adopted him." Minerva explains, wondering why she's explaining everything to a man she literally has just ran into.

"I am sorry to hear that, my condolences on your losses. Would it be remiss of me to ask you for your phone number? I would like to take you out for coffee sometime." Mark asks and wishing he could take the last part of that question back. "I'm sorry about my bluntness, it appears my previous date with the floor has made me abandon all of my common sense."

Minerva is gaping like a fish and trying to pick her jaw up off the floor, never believing that something like this would happen to her. Quickly recomposing herself, she reaches into her purse and grabs a pen and a pad of paper and quickly scribbles down her name and phone number. "Here's my number Mark, and the coffee will be on me since it seems that I may have injured you in our little tete-a tete. May I ask why you came into this store?" Minerva asks, her curiosity getting the better of her now that she's waiting in line for the next teller to become available.

"I was looking at getting a new pillow for myself, but I think I better go to the drugstore across the street and get some ibuprofen instead."

"Well, if you hurry back and grab a pillow, I will pay for it, then let you be on your merry way to the drugstore." Minerva says, not believing that she is offering to buy this near stranger a new pillow of all things.

"Thank you kindly, Minerva, I'll be back in a flash." With that, Mark takes off like a firework towards the pillow section, and by the time Minerva has gotten to the till and started getting her purchased scanned, Mark reappears with a new duck feather pillow and silently adds it to Minerva's purchase, not wanting to give these store attendants any new gossip. Once Minerva has paid for it and gotten back to her car, she quickly releases the sticking charm she placed on Harry and places him in his carseat and buckles him in.

"Once again, it was nice to meet you Mark, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I look forward to hearing from you." Minerva says.

"The pleasure is all mine Minerva, hopefully your son learns his lesson, and let's hope our next meeting isn't as exciting." Mark says, wondering if there's enough whiskey in Britain to reset his brain so he doesn't embarrass himself in front of this wonderful woman again.

End Author's Note: Once again I apologize for the long wait on a new chapter. I am hoping not to make you guys wait like this again, but life loves to throw curveballs at me. I am going to quote an old show my parents used to watch called Hee-Haw, "If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all." Hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
