Now onto the main part

Percy POV:

"Tada!"

She looked at me confused

"This is just a self serve machine"

I rolled my eyes "Yes, but it's still amazing and we can get as much as we want"

I grabbed a sugar cone and started filling it up with strawberry soft serve (I don't know bout you but I think ice cream from self serve machines taste so much better than the cartons)

I then proceeded to cover it completely in blue sprinkles

"Wow, you want any ice cream with your sprinkles" she teased

I stuck my tongue out at her

She then added a normal amount of vanilla soft serve and some rainbow sprinkles

I wrinkled my nose

"Vanilla? That's so plain"

"And?" she challenged

"At least I didn't try to drown mine in food coloring and sugar"

"Whatever, but Vanilla's so boring"

"Seems like you and Vanilla have something in common"

"Ouch" I put a hand over my heart and faked being hurt

She rolled her eyes at me as she tried to hied her smirk

"Sooooo" I asked as we found a table by the pool (Well one of the pools)

"Tell me about yourself, like dislikes, what kind of guys your into, what kind of guys turn you off" I asked casually

"What is it with boys and wanting to know peoples life stories"

I shrugged

"Hmm" she put a hand on her chin "I like books, I dislike annoying people" she shot me a pointed look "I'm into kind, caring, selfless and 'humble' boys, I dislike boys that think their all that and that any girl who goes out with them is lucky" she said hotly

"Cool, my turn. I like, well more like love the color blue, my mom, my dog, my friends, the movie finding Nemo, blue food" she gave me a confused look at that one "surfing, skate boarding, snow boarding, football, basketball and anything that has to do with water" I said with a smile

"I dislike homework, detention, math, science, Mrs Dods, Smelly Gabe, vegetables, studying and girls who throw themselves at me"

She raised her eyebrow and I replied with a modest shrug

"I like girls that are smart, sweet, hot, blonde, have grey eyes, stubborn, and confident. I dislike girls that put on too much make up, wear slutty clothes, only care about there appearances and are selfish"

I leaned forward "I don't think you fit into any of those categories but the later" I sent her a wink

She tried to hide her blush by acting annoyed

"I also like girls that blush at simple compliments"

We continued talking for about an hour, I flirted with her, she blushed, then proceeded to insult me, I don't know why but talking with her felt so natural.

Three servings of soft serve later we began a game of twenty questions

"1, whens your birthday"

She looked down at her lap, "It's today actually"

My eyes widened in surprise "Well happy birthday!"

"Thanks" she said with a small blush

"2, how come your celebrating it alone, well besides me of course"

"My dad was supposed to be here, but he had to cancel at the last minute for some meeting"

"That's messed up, you should never leave your child alone on her birthday, I wouldn't"

She smiled "Well as you said previously, I'm not alone"

My smile grew "Okay, question three, who were you supposed to meet up with earlier"

"Umm, I made a friend earlier today and he asked me to meet up with him and his friends at three"

"Okay but you didn't tell me their name"

"You didn't ask that" she said cockily

"Okay, four, what was their name"

"Leo"

"Wait but then, huh?" If Leo was supposed to meet up with her at three then why did he... OH!

I quickly pulled out my phone

u really are one creepy genius

Anyways just keep her busy for like another twenty minutes the come meet us at the rec room on floor 3

I looked up from my phone to see Annabeth staring at me clearly annoyed

"You just zoned out then started texting someone, care to explain"

"Yeah, sorry I just forgot to tell my mom that I got on board safely" I said waving her off

"Uh huh" she said clearly unconvinced

"Anyways question five, what's your favorite color"

"Seriously?"

"Yup"

"Grey"

"Why, it's so dull"

"Because, I just do, it makes me feel calm"

"Also, that was a question"

I rolled my eyes (I seem to do that a lot, no wonder my teachers hate me)

"Fine, 7 what's your favorite food"

"Mexican"

"Let's goo" I gave her a high five which she reluctantly obliged to

"Favorite drink"

"Shirley temple's"

"Virgin or hard"

"Both"

"Your dangerous" I said sarcastically

"Favorite holiday"

"Christmas, obviously"

"Least favorite holiday"

"Dr Seuss day, I've been forced to eat way to much 'Green Eggs And Ham'

"Okay, understandable"

"Favorite leisure activity"

"What are you a nerd"

"No, I love nerds"

"hmf, favorite ice cream flavor, if you say vanilla I'm gonna cry"

"Personal question" she said with a raised eyebrow

"Stop looking so smug"

"What me, I would never" I feigned astonishment

"Your out of questions" she said smugly

"Psh, you didn't answer my last one"

"Technically I did, just not the way you wanted me to"

Kay, were ready

I quickly and discreetly typed a reply

B right there

"Come on" I said grabbing her hand

"Where too?"

I smiled at her mischievously

"It's a secret"

She rolled her eyes (maybe it's not just me)

"You and your secrets"

"Race ya"

"I don't even know where were going"

"Then just make sure to keep up"

Annabeth POV:

I don't know what came over me today, I mean first Leo now Percy. Usually I'm a pretty conservative person, but it seems that when it comes to random boys I'll tell them anything they ask, well almost anything.

I chased after Percy, a boy I had just met less than four hours ago, but here I was following him recklessly

I kept pace with him fairly easily, and I dare say, I was enjoying myself maybe even having fun

If I told Piper about this she'd never let me live it down

I followed him up three flights of stairs dodging other passengers, when he suddenly stopped, causing me to run into him

"Hey you okay?" his voice was filled with concern

I don't know why but I just felt safe in his arms (his very strong arms)

"You know if you just wanted a hug you could have just asked"

I quickly pushed myself out of his warm embrace

"It's your fault for stopping without warning" I protested

"Uhuh, whatever you say princess"

"Don't call me that, I've already told you that I'm not your princess"

"And I've already told you, not yet" he replied with a smirk

"Come on lets go"

He opened the door and led me into a dark room

Then out of nowhere "SURPRISE!"

I jumped backwards towards a laughing Percy, suddenly a disco ball lit up along with a bunch of different colored strobe lights, A bunch of teenage boys wearing tacky party hats and confetti canons in their hands.

At the front of the group was none other than the tiny latino elf himself, Leo

"Happy Birthday Annie"

With that all of the boys popped their confetti canons

"Were you expecting it?"

"No but how did you?"

I realized with a bit of disappointment that Percy was probably one of Leo's friends, who he had probably sent to distract me. I know you probably think I'm being selfish but it kinda of hurt to think that the only reason Percy was being nice to me was cause he was part of some kind of (very sweet) plan

"So your job was to distract me?" I asked turning around to face Percy

"Yeah"

My face fell, somehow he noticed

"Well actually I didn't know until about twenty five minutes ago, before that I was just as clueless as you were"

So he did want to spend time with me. My spirits lifted at the thought of that, wait, why was I getting so worked up over that. Never mind I'm just going to enjoy this
