Chapter 5 Battle Simulation
"Katsuki" POV
Walking towards the cafeteria now with an empty stomach as I came in early apparently so I managed to get fully changed before anyone came back as I had my Windbreaker back on as I grabbed a tray and got into the line.
Getting some food that looked quite appealing to me I walked to an empty table thanking to hood I got here early to get a seat earlier so I didn't have to sit with a bunch of people I don't know.
Eating in a comfortable silence now having some music on my phone playing through my earbuds as I eat my food at a moderate pace while I look around the cafeteria to only see my classmates arrive to the cafeteria.
"H-Hey C-could I-I sit here." A voice said as I took out one of my earbuds out and turned to the voice.
It was Tamaki Amajiki who asked as he looked quite bashful and held his tray waiting for a response.
"Sure but don't you have friends here." I ask as I scoot over a bit to not take to much of his space as he lays his tray on the table and drags the chair back.
"Yea but they said that I should get better at talking to people and to talk to someone new." He said as he rubbed the back of his head now sheepishly as he sat down.
I look at him then at his plate to see an assortment of food. Octopus, Clams, Beef and some more.
"Wow you have so many different food's it's crazy." I say looking over to him as he blushed in embarrassment.
"Yea my quirk it's called manifest any thing I eat I can use like the octopus." He said shooting out a tendril from a finger.
"That's really cool and you must have put a lot of training to get better with it." I say spooning a bit more food in my mouth.
"Yea especially nowadays." Amajiki said as he tilted his head spooning a bit more of the octopus in his mouth.
"It's your first day right so how did you think of school at U.A." He said not looking away from his food as he was probably thinking if he asked a bit more then he needed to.
"It's been alright Aizawa-Sensei isn't really the type to half ass things so that's good and we did just finish a quirk assessment test for our class instead of going to the assembly." I said as Amajiki perked up a bit.
"You're in Aizawa-Sensei's home room." He asked and I nodded.
A small uncomfortable silence arose then as the only sound there was in between us was the sound of utensils picking at the food and the the background noice of the other residents of the cafeteria.
"Hey what quirk do you have." Amajiki said mustering up all the courage he had as I turn to him and I smile as I swallow my food.
"I have a quirk called explosion, i secrete through like sweat that is kinda like nitroglycerin and I can ignite it." I say raising my hand and shooting off a consecutive small blasts.
"Hmm so…what place did you place in your rankings." Amajiki said as I looked to him.
"You had Aizawa-Sensei for your heroics class."I turn to him and he nodded.
"Well I placed 1st actually I'm not trying to brag or anything but I still want to get better…so much better." My hand forms a fist and I look at it as Amajiki looks on silently.
"Why do you want to get stronger anyways…what made you become a hero." He asked with an unusual amount of confidence and seriousness. I look towards him and he just eyes his food.
"I want to be able to do something to save people I've seen people and what they become by losing something or someone in a villain attack or natural disaster and I don't want others to feel like that either…" I say but I clearly was in my own little world as Amajiki as was staring openly at and smiled.
"You'll get far…I can feel it Bakugo-San you remind me of another friend of mine." He said as I look over to him not out of my trance.
"Yea thanks and you'll go far too plus you don't need to use formalities Amajiki-Sempai." He smiled as he looked a bit sheepish he nodded.
"Alright Bakugo if that's what you want." He said still unsure but I had to get that aura away.
"Yea why wouldn't I want a friend of mine to call me my name." I said and he looked over quite amazed.
"But we only met today Bakugo and already calling us f-friends." He said a bit shakily.
"Yea we're friends, I mean friends eat lunch together right." I looked over and saw his embarrassed face and i snickered at him as time continued passing.
"Oh time for lunch ended." I said hearing the bell ring as I got up waiting for Amajiki to get up as well as we threw waste away and said our goodbyes before separating both of us with a smile on our faces.
"Oh what's that smile on your face Amajiki." Nejire said as they met up in the 3-A classroom as Nejire and Mirio went up to him.
"I-I made a new friend is all." The smile on his face continued to shine as Mirio looked excited by the turn of events as he hooked a hand around Amajiki's shoulder.
"You have to introduce us next time." At that Amajiki thought about both his male friends.
Yes Mirio looked more approachable unlike Bakugo but the more you got to know the other you felt more protected with Bakugo then Mirio but you still felt free with them both.
At that moment Amajiki found another person who shined just as brightly as Mirio but in a different way.
Leaving school now with knowledge on the entirety of the schedule for normal school days in my head I headed straight home today having nothing to do today anymore that I could think off.
After…
Going into class the next day making it the second day school started I could only sigh as not much time passed we only had what a week to relax and in that time I was getting pelted by my Mom by things each time I talked out of line even in times I didn't even talk she still threw things at me.
Yea spring break was anything other than a break.
Sitting in my desk now alone to my thoughts I remember today being the battle trail day where All Might taught and seeing All Might this time would be cool as he would be in an Hero Costume and not in a outrageously tight suit.
I prop myself up with my hand as my elbow rested on the table now thinking about something I wasn't counting on.
'The time in the hour is longer as today there about 4 classes in each day and we change classes each day with Hero Training taking the 4 place spot in classes each day.' Now that I thought about it Hero classes either started in the morning to lunch or lunch to dismissal so the other 3 classes where in the period of time where not in Hero Training.
My mind was taken away from my thoughts from a rather loud voice with a giant Man with blonde hair shaped like bunny ears and overly flashy costume.
"I Am Here to teach your Heroics Class!" All Might yelled as he flexed his arms and gave a big smile that elicited a positive reaction from everyone.
There was few murmurs about how excited they were to see All Might and that they didn't know he was a teacher here.
"We are doing a Battle Trail!" He said again as he grabbed something from his pocket which was a phone that had the words 'Battle' plastered on it.
With that most people I saw were pretty excited with Midoriya being a it worried but overall wanted to prove himself.
"But as Fledgling Hero's there's something you all need first…Your Hero Costumes to make you look Heroic as well as being Heroic!" He said holding a hand out and pressing a button to eject all the suitcases in the wall out to see them with numbers on them.
With that Ashido instantly went for her suitcase as a couple more people behind her and grabbed there own before leaving the room in a hurry wanting to change in the locker room.
"Oh I can see there Excited." All Might laughed as I got up from my chair and grabbed the suitcase numbered '17' and pulled off the wall as I started walking outside the room being the last one inside as a comfortable silence comes over me as I walk peacefully to the locker room designated for Class 1-A.
"Are you doing well Young Bakugo I heard you where involved in something a week ago." I heard All Might say as I turn to him and I just nod not wanting to spill anything right now.
Making it to the locker room to say a plethora of different colors all over and see everyone basically almost fully changed.
"Aren't you guys a bit to excited for this?" I ask not particularly to anyone but I got a response from a certain red head with a lot of Manliness that he wants to prove.
"Nah man we just want to prove or manliness right?" He coheres every one to respond and they do with a subsequent "Yea!" As I sweat drop and open my locker.
"Um right we'll don't go crying when I beat you." I threw them a challenging smirk and they all competitively smiled back.
"Hah hah hah I've got to say that all of you look quite Dapper if I say so-where's Young Bakugo?" All Might wondered as he didn't see his second most well known student.
"Umm All Might-Sensei he said he needed to go to the bath room urgently he also said he drank coffee sooo." Midoriya said awkwardly scratching the back of his head.
"Geez not to toot my own horn but I look pretty good." I say walking into the room now with my hero outfit resembling the World Hero's mission stealth mission clothes without the gauntlets and belts just the costume basically made with my DNA.
"Oh My Young Bakugo you yourself are looking quite nice we'll let's get on to the Instructions!" He said stepping aside to reveal a three boxes with everyone's seat number and teams of the people chosen.
All Might proceeds to tell us the run down of the situation of two on two battle one team takes on as the heroes and the others the Villains.
One touch on the objective or Bomb by the hero team means a win to the hero's but incapacitatingthe villains means a win for the heroes.
The villains need to hold out for the time given or Incapacitate the hero's to win.
The villain where given a ten minutes head start to reposition the bomb while the hero's just wait at the entrance.
Overall the same in Canon as what happened next wasn't that spectacular either.

Though what I wasn't expecting was the thing that came next

What the Fuck…why am I going against Todoroki!?
"Alright Team B you will be the Villains! You may leave to the Mock building on the Screen." All Might shouted pointing at the screen and Todoroki and Shoji nodded heading out.
"Bakugo-Kun I best think is that we form a strategy for our opponents." I heard Iida come next to me and I nod.
'Fighting Todoroki with all his ice attacks…indoors too…that might drag on and I don't know if Iida would be fast enough…so'
"Hey I think I have an idea given what we've seen of our classmates." I say as we start to walk out of the observation room.
"I've been observing what other people can do silently and from what I've seen Todoroki can create Ice on his right side and probably only his right side." I say as Iida looked puzzled.
"What do you mean Bakugo-Kun I mean he has been doing things most…ly by his right side…and he had white and red hair….he can also use Fire on his left side…but he's never used it." Iida figured out as he had his finger at his chin.
"Yea well whatever thing he has going on isn't the problem what is, is his range attacks and wether what should we do." I say as we continue walking as we got into the mock city.
"You're right in such a compact space my quirk and even yours is dangerous to the building and we're supposed to be heroes so limiting property damage." Iida said as he looked in the direction of the mock Building.
"Yea I was thinking that Todoroki looks…rather impatient so he might try and take us down himself and if we could defeat him then we coul Shoji." I say looking towards Iida as he nods at the logic.
"But how could you be so sure that Todoroki would do something so impulsive it doesn't seem like him at all" Iida said as a retort.
"Actions speak louder than words and he's been going all of yesterday eerily quickly when he was called upon." I looked at him as he was thinking in his head as we made it towards the front door of the building and we stopped and I lean on the railing as he just stands still with his helmet in his open arm cradling his helmet.
"I was thinking that my explosions could destroy whatever ice he may shoot at us but I don't want you to get caught in the cross fire so I suggest I go in first and then you go in after me. Then I could lead Todoroki away and you can swiftly either take him down or pass him as we could either do 2 individual fights or the both of us against Shoji." I say looking up the building.
"I think distracting Todoroki might be the best bet…we don't know his full capabilities but we know he's powerful and Shoji from what I've seen of his quirk is that he could sense with his multiple limbs and create more fists but otherwise he has not other long range strikes so your basically a counter towards them both Bakugo-Kun." I nodded at the logic as I sighed.
"It depends really but this might be our best bet." I say as I nodded towards Iida who put on his helmet mask and gave me a thumbs up.
"Are You Ready" a voice called in our ear pieces and we quickly responded with a "yeah" which made him continue.
"On your Mark Get set Go!" The timer that All Might started as I started to walk towards the door and opened it and stepped inside as I started to shuffle in place.
I continued as I saw Ice approaching the hallway as I went back outside before he could freeze my feet in place as Iida watched the ice go up to doorframe and stop.
"So this must be wear Shoji can hear us from meaning there either deep inside the building high up and far away from us so meaning the other side of the building." I say as I look over to Iida as he looked alarmed at me deducing this.
"I bet Todoroki can't do this against as all the floors and walls in the building are covered in ice so he must probably close to his limit." I look over to Iida once more.
"Have you ever ice skated before?" I ask Iida as he looks questioning me with his eyes.
I nudge my head at the ice as I run with a grin on my face as I jump on the ice keeping my momentum using my hands to speed me up as I went into the building.
"Use your quirk and speed up!" I yell as I turned the corner with an explosion turning me the other way.
"So like this?" Iida asked as he stepped on the ice as stood in the same position as Bakugo leaning forward and activated a small amount of his engine as he flew forward almost hitting the corner before lifting his leg up sending him flying towards the hallway Bakugo was in.
"Oh my goodness!" Iida yelled as he tried to stabilize himself as he smiled behind his mask as his adaptive skills on the ice managed to help him.
Scaling up the stairs which happened to be making like a ramp with the ice as me and Iida who managed to get back on track as we scaled up the building until I heard the call of "Todoroki there coming." From the floor I was on I moved to the side I heard them most on which was my left as Iida followed behind me as we made it towards a room in the back corner of the building.
I shush Iida as we silently walk closer making no noise due to the Ice as I peeked inside to see Todoroki having his entire right side covered with ice. Shoji looked more the same but had multiple ears trying to make sure he knew where we were but couldn't.
I smirk as I turned the corner making a giant explosion sending me towards the too. "On my signal!" I yell as I saw a Ice wall coming at me as I jump and blast to the left side of the wall and go airborne and forward again as i cupped my hand shooting a blast.
"AP Shot Auto Cannon!" I yell as I shoot out multiple blast that go through Todoroki's ice wall as he grunts angrily as Iida blasted into the room at his full power aiming his attack at Todoroki kicking his side sending him to the wall as he slammed into it but only cracks appeared on the walls
I blast towards Shoji who converted more of his impromptu live into fist trying to punch me but before a fist landed on me a shot an explosion sending him into a pillar stunning him as me and Iida walk normally towards the bomb and touch it.
"The Hero Team Wins!" All Might announced as I smile.
"That was a very good Bakugo-Kun." Iida said as I just waved him off.
"Just Bakugo is fine and we won because of you too you were vital in incapacitating Todoroki." I say as the boy named got up from his leaning on the wall walked out of the room visibly upset holding his side where Iida had kicked him.
"Hey Shoji I didn't hit you too hard." I ask to the tall boy who shook his head and stood up.
"I'll be fine with rest thanks for the worry though Bakugo." Shoji said making another arm into a mouth.
"Alright." I say as me, Iida and Shoji walk out of the building talking about the match until we made it to the observation room.
"I didn't even think of using our quirks like skis that's quite creative Bakugo." I heard Iida say and Shoji nodded as I just blush bashfully rubbing the back of my head.
"It's nothing really just thought about it and tried it." I said as we made it to the observation room to see our entire class greeting us as more people came to me specifically.
"Wow Bakugo I didn't know you could use a quirk like that and yours is so flashy and cool." I heard Ashido say as she approached with Kirishima, Sero, Kirishima and a couple others.
"Uh thanks…Ashido right." I say pointing at her and she smiles and nods her head excitedly.
"Sup Bakugo you where so manly out there you even helped out Shoji so manly." Kirishima said as I looked amused and took the hand shake Kirishima was silently asking for.
"Heh thanks for thinking that." I say as I smiled.
I continued to talk to everyone as All Might made his presence known by coughing loudly.
"Can someone tell me what was done right and done wrong for both teams." All Might said as everyone sweat dropped and we all tuned in as Yaoyorozu gave the ground works for the Villains.
"Todoroki you used your quirk very recklessly as not only did you not get Iida or Bakugo but you even got Shoji stuck but also using that seemed to limit you in the future." Yaoyorozu said as she pinched her chin.
I saw Todoroki nod his head a bit sourly but otherwise nothing more from anyone else's reaction.
"I may add that Young Shoji you have quite an impressive scouting ability with your quirk being able to hear them when they approached the door." All Might said as Shoji took it as he nodded.
"Does anyone have anything to say to the heroes and what they could have done better." With a silence and someone raise there hand being Midoriya as he had a notebook in hand.
"Well I-um it seemed like Iida wasn't completely in sync with Kaachan so he had to follow his lead in the battle." He said and All Might slowly nodded understanding where the boy was coming from.
"Yes but now on the good parts Young Todoroki you have amazing Power and great control. Young Iida your adaptation of the situation was quite amazing and Young Bakugo using your quirk in many different ways and with your leadership and teamwork ability seems quite amazing already but I do have one question how did you know Young Shoji could turn his quirk into ears?" All Might asked as I felt everyone's eyes on me.
"Well I saw him during the Practical Exam and saw him with both eyes and ears on a rooftop trying to scope any robot out." I say as I scratch the back of my head sheepishly.
"So I was right assuming you where the boy that destroyed the Zero-Pointer with the explosion." Shoji said as a series of "What?!" Was said as I looked away.
"You destroyed that giant ass thing!" Kaminari shouted though I just kinda wanted to disappear.
"Yes though he was quite banged up after the fact." All Might said as everyone turned to him. As he put up the scoreboard for the practical exam up on the board.
I had 120 points and the Next one was Kirishima who had 74 points when they compared both scores they saw my Hero points surpassed everyone else's score plus the Villain Points out me over 100.
"Wow Bakugo you are a beast." Sero said but I just looked away bashfully and I was feeling my cheeks turn slightly red.
"Aww he's blushing so cute." Hagakure said as most of the girls let out there giggles.
"Alright it's best you give him space you've been flustering the Young Man now let's start the next Round." He said pointing at the screen reading the teams.
"Team A will be the Villains!" All Might said as people turned to Midoriya in his costume of rather cheap things…'yea that's all going to get destroyed.' I thought as I saw the four of them disappear into the dark hallway.
"Anyone betting who will win." I say raising my hand up.
"Young Bakugo Betting isn't the most heroic." All Might said thought I just looked away.
"We're just predicting who will win…with money involved?" I said I surely as a couple people bursted into laughter at my silliness until Kaminari stepped up and pulled something out of his pocket.
"1000yen on Team A." He said smirking and I return the smirk.
"Oh you're so on." I shake his hand and my smirk only widens.
"Team H is the Winner!" All Might said into the microphone he was holding as we saw on the screen Midoriya who was leaning against the wall with a couple of his fingers broken while Tokoyami and Asui where standing next to the bomb calmly and Uraraka was tied up with Asui's tongue.
"Sooo." I saw all the participants walk inside even Midoriya though he was getting a note to go to the Nurses Office.
I heard Kaminari's whine but he ultimately gave me the money pouting the whole way through. "Maybe you shouldn't place blind bets on people you don't know or know there ability Midoriya's quirk might be powerful but he doesn't even know how to use it manageable without breaking something." I say unaware of the aforementioned boy staring at me annoyed.
"Ugh I guess your right…hey Bakugo will you pay for extra lunch for me." He said trying to hang on my shoulder but I just step out of the way quickly making him fall over and pout.
"You're so mean." He said as I failed to hide my face full of amusement.
After…
Walking into the cafeteria now with Kaminari, Sero, Kirishima, Jiro and Ashido as we wait in line.
"Hey I have to say all of you guys where impressive in your fights." I say now taking a seat on a bench next to a wall that had a table and chairs that could hold the 6 of us.
"Yeah I bet I could beat you huh Bakugo." Kirishima said taking the seat to my left as I smirked at him.
"Oh yeah weird hair or should I call you HardOn because of your quirk." I smirked upon his reaction as multiple laughs sounded out as I had to turn away or I was going to utterly start crying because of his red face matched his hair.
"Ah ha he got you good Kiri." Ashido said giggling even more at his face.
"So not Manly." He said rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"What do you think we're going to do next hour?" Asked Ashido as she had a spoonful of rice in her mouth.
"Probably English I mean it is our 1st hour and I heard it's from Present Mic too." I said as I started to move to eat my food with a moderate pace.
We sat there for the entirety of lunch just talking and getting to know eachother and finding out the Jiro actually lives in Shizuoka as well but didn't go to the same school as me or Midoriya who's was surprising.
"I'm surprised we've never seen each other Bakugo." Jiro said as we started walking back to class.
"Yeah I'm kinda surprised too thought I don't think I really travel anywhere other than a specific are of Shizuoka." As we rounded a corner as we all were having tiny conversations with each other.
"What school did you got to anyways." She asked having one of her jacks on her phone.
"I went to Aldera Junior High School." I say as I kept my hands in my pocket.
It went silent after that as I looked outside and Jiro was just on her phone doodling while playing music.
'This is awkward…I'm more of a response person but Jiro is very much a response talker as well so it would always be this awkward.' I think as I look at her more in-depth.
"Hey are you planning on adding anything to your suit." I ask her as she was brought out of her stupor as she looked at me.
"Umm no doesn't it seem to early?" She said twirling her jack with her finger.
"I mean we could ask Aizawa-Sensei tomorrow." I look around the hallway and find our room in the distance.
"Hey what would I even change I'm pretty content with what I have now." She said looking at me mysteriously.
"Well from what I saw of your match that you guys won was your lack of close combat." I said as she looked away knowing the truth.
"So I was thinking of probably sketching something and getting your approval." I say without thinking as we enter the classroom.
"I'll talk to you later Jiro." I said waving back as she waved back.
"Are you all ready for English Little Listeners!" Present Mic shouted in his normal voice as he walked into the room after the bell rang.
'Oh Kami it's going to be a long day.'
