Chapter 7 USJ/ Shoto Todoroki : Rising
"Katsuki" POV
A week went by of school as the days after we started to visit the support classroom to visit Hatsume bringing along Sero who was caught in a platoon of people and got lost on where we were which at first made me blank but I remembered hearing the alarm so he just had to sit by himself which is a bit sad hearing it.
But now with everyone introduced the went by with Training to become heroes.
By then another week had passed as we reduced ourselves for Hatsume to show her new inventions.
"Here there are." Hatsume said with enthusiasm mostly unmatched in many people as she turned the board away and showed the four pieces of equipment on the table.
"These two are for you Jiro and these too for you Lightning Dolt." She said which made Kaminari tilt his head and me, Sero and Kirishima almost blow a gasket on trying to mask our laughter.
Looking at the table more in-depth I saw both of Jiro's Earjack Amplifiers and the wrist blasters and the pointer for Kaminari. Even a prototype scouter I gave Hatsume as a base for Kaminari.
"Wow this looks so cool!" Kaminari said with stars in his eyes as Kirishima and Sero both whistle in wonderment.
"Try it on then we only tried a prototype." Hatsume said as she grabbed the wrist blasters and the pointer.
Kaminari quickly walked up excited over all seeing the wrist blasters and strap on and the pointer was attached to the right wrist blaster.
Hatsume quickly grabbed a small board ready to take a blasting as Kaminari aimed both wrist blasters and conducting a bit of electricity multiple fast blasts of yellow shot out off multiple of the holes on the wrist blasters.
"Sick!" Kaminari said bringing his hands up to see the blasters then at the makeshift target seeing multiple holes.
"Wow it has some firepower!" Kaminari echoed as I saw both Sero and Kirishima staring with stars while Ashido looked excited and Jiro looked alarmed.
"It worked and with this it's called a scouter you could control the firepower of the blasts even if you over charge them." Hatsume said picking up the scouter and placing it on Kaminari's eye.
"Oh does this look cool guys!" He said excitedly as I smile and nod while the rest give him a thumbs up.
The bell rang alerting us of our next hour heroics so grabbing everything and the new support gear of Jiro and Kaminari as we all walk back to class peacefully with small conversations breaking some of the silence.
Walking inside having quite the time before the bell rang we chilled at each others desk either sitting on a empty chair or just stood.
We talked about the more random subjects going to what your favorite ice cream flavor to why did you want to become a hero.
"Why I wanted to be a Hero…I want something to change so doing it by my own hands is the best way." I say looking up at the ceiling as I was questioned to why I wanted to become a hero.
I blended in and I smiled at the jokes made as the bell rang and I sat down on my seat readying myself for our heroics class.
Aizawa-Sensei walked into the classroom as everyone quickly went to there seats but not before Aizawa-Sensei caught wind of them.
"3 seconds you wasted getting to your seats you shouldn't waste time unless you want someone to die." He said pulling out his tablet and swiping on it.
Silence reigned over the classroom as Aizawa-Sensei's attention on his tablet stood stagnant before looking over to the rest of us.
"It looks like we'll be working on rescue training so everyone go wear your hero costumes or your gym uniform whichever you choose it doesn't really matter but just meet up by the bus stop I'll be waiting there for your arrival." Aizawa-Sensei said before walking out of the room making me drop a bit a sweat from my brow before getting up in a collection of people grabbing there suitcases before heading towards the locker room designated for Class 1-A.
"Teach said where doing rescue training right?" Kaminari asked as me, Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero left the Locker Room.
"Yeah he said it before thought I don't have a clue where?" Sero said scratching at the top of his head.
"It's probably off campus judging the meet up at the bus stop." I said looking out the mighty large window's of the U.A building.
"Are we going to the U.S.J?!" Kirishima asked excitedly as a small smirk crossed my features as I look back towards the 3.
"I don't think where going to Universe Studios Japan Kiri." My smirk widened when I saw him pout and Kaminari and Sero looked from Kirishima's side and smiled silliness all on there faces.
"Way to be a buzzkill Sparky." Kaminari said as I slouched hearing the stupid nickname.
'For Kami's Sake I don't even have anything to do with Electricity!' I glared to the ceiling as the three see me in the state and started to chuckle as we made it to the bus stop a little later walking down the steps watching Iida waving his arms around trying to tell the others that where there to line up.
"Hey Iida its an Open bus." I said pointing towards the bus parked by the stop as he turned around looking at the bus and turned back with an embarrassed blush on his face as he apologized.
We stood there going through idle chit chat as more of our classmates came with the last ones being Jiro and Yaoyorozu walking in toe with each other.
Getting on the bus sitting on one of the bus seats facing the many seats at the back just where original Bakugo sat with Kirishima sitting next to me and Kaminari ahead leaning on the railing separating us from those seats.
"Hey Midoriya-Chan you have a quirk really similar to All Might." Asui said suddenly as my eyes flickered to Midoriya as he flinched.
My eyes narrowed into a blank expression as Midoriya tried to come up with something.
"Y-yes Asui-San" Midoriya said clearly almost petrified.
"Sorry for startling you Midoriya but I tend to say what's on my mind." Asui said before saying "Call me Tsu too."
"R-Right." Midoriya said.
"But your quirk is just like All Might." Tsu said now in a thinking pose with her pointer finger by her chin.
"Yeah but All Might doesn't hurt himself like Midoriya does though." Kirishima said from next to me as the rest in the back turned to him.
"Though they look the same for sure." Kirishima said as everyone got on the topic about quirks.
"Yeah mine's not really flashy it works though." Kirishima said raising his arm and hardening it.
"Hmm that trophy for flashy and strong would go to Bakugo and Todoroki." Tsu said as I was searching through my music as I saw everyone's eyes on me.
"Is there something wrong." I said mildly as I looked at Kirishima as he looked away holding his mouth trying to conceal the laughter with his hand.
"Well whatever." I said looking at Kaminari who was looking away too.
"Yeah but if Midoriya gains control over his quirk he could joking that list in flashy too." Ashido sai leaning on her seat near the back of the bus.
Midoriya didn't say anything when he heard his name called out as he looked at his own arms as I observed him.
"It seems like his body's not suited for his quirk." I said idly looking away from Midoriya's stare thought I could feel it on me with multiple more people stares on me.
I started to sweat with the amount of people with there eyes on me as I cough into my hand.
"From what I've seen your body can't take 100% of your quirk but I don't know why you just reduce your strength." I said keeping my eyes away from the group of quiet teenagers.
"Lower it?" Midoriya said questionably as he was the only one that said anything.
"Well yeah you don't see All Might walking around with 100% of his strength or else he might destroy buildings on accident." I said building my courage and looking towards Midoriya as his eyes were widening.
"I also saw that you only boost what you need at the time like All Might moves fast and punches hard while either you punch really hard and you could move fast but not at the same time like your isolating your power in burst when you should use it consistently." I said looking deeply into his eyes as he looked at his arms and grasped at the air around.
He was thinking and thinking pretty hard before talking again.
"H-How would you describe it…Kaachan." He asked as my eyes widened at the name as everyone looked at me especially for the nickname.
"We're here kids." Aizawa-Sensei said as everyone started getting up as I motioned Kirishima forward as I waited behind as everyone in the back walked in front.
Though I stopped Midoriya from going any further by grabbing at his shoulder and pulling into the aisle as we watched the last person in the back leave as we follow behind him slowly.
"You asked how I describe it right?" I asked him as he looked at me and down at the ground before nodding.
"Hmm I would say that your quirk is like a pool of water right" I said as we walked through the bus alone before passing the bus driver and walked down the steps.
"Your body currently isn't strong enough to hold that pool imagine your body is like a bucket and trying to force a pool sized amount of water would only break that bucket." I said as we walked to the front where we stood next to our friends Kirishima and Uraraka but we where too zoned in to hear them as I saw Thirteen walk from inside the building as I look away to Midoriya who had his full attention to me.
"You need to fill the bucket with the water meaning your body with the power you could control like a…battery off a phone." I say as Thirteen motioned her arms towards the doors as I felt Aizawa-Sensei's glare from my back but I chose to ignore it.
"Right…I wouldn't need to switch constantly." Midoriya said with wide eyes as he looked at me.
"Did you two hear anything of what Thirteen said." Aizawa-Sensei said as he walked up to us as Thirteen was ahead by the doors with the rest of the student's answering there questions while Aizawa-Sensei held us back to talk to us.
"Sorry Sensei but I was just asking Kaachan about a couple tips on how to control my quirk." Midoriya said as I look to him and he smiled at me and I just look away.
"Alright." Aizawa-Sensei said as he looked at Midoriya and motioned to Midoriya to show him what was worthy of not listening to there teacher.
I walk towards Aizawa-Sensei's side as I saw Midoriya close his eyes in concentration as the others looked back at us as then at Midoriya having his eyes closed.
"Try a low percentage." I said as I saw a little nod though it was pretty unnoticed by most people.
With that Midoriya clutched his hand to a fist as he started to flow with the same green lightning sparkling on him as he opened his eyes and jumped.
The crowd watched as Midoriya jumped higher then the height of the bus that was readying the departure to wait in a parking spot.
Midoriya landed roughly in a superhero pose to catch himself at the amount of height he had gained from the small percentage he was using.
'4% One For All…Full…Cowling.' He thought in his head as he looked down at himself seeing the lighting sparkle around him.
"Wow Deku that looks so cool and you're not breaking your bones." Uraraka said as Midoriya looked at the crowd and blushed at the attention on him as he got up and deactivated his quirk.
I heard Aizawa-Sensei satisfied groan as I turn my head towards him and saw his smile as i back away from the man creeping with that smile.
"Alright enough goofing off everyone." Aizawa-Sensei said as he walked in front and opened the doors leading everyone inside as I started to walk forward but I stopped and looked at Midoriya.
"Hey…don't call me that Midoriya." I said looking away leaving Midoriya with a surprised expression but I hurt one as he looked down sadly and silently following me to the door.
Walking inside the USJ with Midoriya behind me with a contemplating look as both Aizawa-Sensei and Thirteen where going on with all the zones and there specifics until a dark ominous looking portal opened in the middle that was spotted out by Ashido.
"Hey uh Sensei is that part of the exercise." Ashido asked as everyone looked at the portal expanding in size as multiple walked out of the portal all looking like petty thugs but all villains real villains.
Though I kept my eyes stone cold as i eyed everyone until I saw someone I didn't expect to see anytime soon.
A man with Black hair and burn marks covering his body with staples connecting the dead skin as he stood quite close to the portal as a assortment of more composed looking people walked from the portal.
A girl with a mask with straps leading to needles going through to her backpack which was vials.
A Lizard Man with a assortment of blade on his back with a mask resembling the Hero Killer Stain.
A man who resembled a magician as he tucked his hands in his coat and readjusted his mask with a hand he pulled from his pocket.
A Women with a wide build of a man holding a clothed magnet on her shoulders.
Plus the knock off Deadpool all standing next to each other.

'Shigi you make this shit so much Fucking Harder!' I screamed in my head as I held my head in a annoyed fashion as Tomura Shigaraki A.K.A. Tenko Shimura or Shigi stepped out of the portal followed by the Nomu .
'There's many heavy hitters here.' I thought looking at Aizawa-Sensei and Thirteen who looked at each other and Thirteen nodded her head.
"These are real Villains, Thirteen protect the students." Aizawa-Sensei said as he pulled up his goggles and readied himself for a battle as Midoriya able to talk finally knocked out of his haze walked up behind Aizawa-Sensei.
"Aizawa-Sensei you can't fight all of them you mostly stalk enemies in a 1 on 1 stealth fight." Midoriya said peeking himself up as Aizawa-Sensei turned to him and gave him a side eye that made him turn to concrete.
"A hero can't be a one trick pony." Aizawa-Sensei said before running vastly down the steps in a quick speed as he jumped just about the right time to land a knee on the first lackey to com across EraserHead.
"Student we need to leave!" Thirteen said bringing all our attention to her as she raised her arm in direction of the doors.
Many of the student looked in the direction of the door only to see the clear pathway covered in a dark mist that soon had two bright yellow spots that could be recognized as eyes.
"Sorry young hero's but you may not leave." Kurogiri said as the distorted voice made a couple of the students back away startled.
"Oh where's All Might we heard he was going to be here." Kurogiri mentioned as many of us raised our eyebrows.
"All Might why do you want with All Might!" Midoriya's voice was a cut above the rest as a silence enveloped the villain and students awaiting his answer.
"To kill the Symbol Of Peace." He said moving the mist closer to the students but was sucked up by Thirteen.
"Uh." Kurogiri grunted as he looked towards Thirteen her fingertips opened up to see it sucking him in.
"I won't let you hurt the Student's!" Thirteen said before Kurogiri made his body into a portal and a portal behind Thirteen sucking herself ripping herself apart.
"Thirteen-Sensei!" Everyone yelled worried over the injured pro who could only say a couple things with her last words as her energy sapped into an unconscious state.
"Get out of here kids." She said before she fell on the floor unconscious.
I looked around warily wanting to move and fight the main force of Villains but seeing Kurogiri absolutely destroy half of Thirteen made me want to stay and fight the mist to avoid more people getting hurt.
Kurogiri's body after getting acclimated to his normal state widened his eyes at the red headed boy jumping towards him followed by a Ash blonde boy looking shocked and worried.
"That will not do!" Kurogiri said enveloping some of the students into multiple portal around the USJ.
"Katsuki" POV
Landing on my feet as I looked around now in a new environment of a building surrounded by Villains as I saw Kirishima land on one knee as he quickly picked himself up upon seeing the Villains.
"You Ready." I ask him as we went back to back and I couldn't resist a small smile of excitement to appear on my face as Kirishima with his own grin hardened his arms and slammed them together creating sparks.
"Hell yeah I am." He said as the first couple Villains ran towards us while we stood and at the moments notice burst towards opposite sides of the room of each other running to the closest villains each.
"Let's see what you have Katsuki Bakugo…"
Midoriya POV
Opening my eyes from the darkness that enveloped me I look around my surroundings and I cough upon realizing and breathing in water as I continue to look around to see I was in the place called the Shipwreck zone considering the ship I could see from where I was.
Grabbing at my throat from the intake of water I saw the quick moving object flash past my field of vision until a voice broke me from my own panic as I turned towards the voice.
"Oh what do we have here my Lunch!" The man with a quirk that made him look like a shark said as he swam very fast at me as I contemplated what my actions could be especially in some water.
'Full Cowl takes me about 25 seconds to activate I don't have enough time!' I screamed in my head as I saw the shark man approach and get a kick from a girl in a green costume and looks quite like a frog.
My eyes widen at recognizing the girl.
'Asui-San!' She kicked off the shark man towards my direction at faster speeds then I thought and grabbed me with her tongue before heading to the surface with an explosion of water notifying everyone looking at the shipwreck zone.
Landing on the boat before coughing up some of the water I inhaled i knelled to be in a better position to throw it up and not get it on my wet gym clothes.
Feeling a chill run through my spine I quickly get up seeing Asui-San and Mineta-Kun looking worriedly at me but I brushed there looks aside as I walked to the railing of the boat to see an abundance of Villains proficient in the water waiting for us quietly.
"Um not to scare you but-" I started saying but I was cut off by Asui-San.
"We've already seen them Midoriya Kero." Asui-San said looking in my direction and I nodded before turning to her.
"Thank you for saving me back there I would be in a real pickle Asui-San." I said without stuttering to my own surprise but Asui-San just tilted her head.
"Didn't I tell you to call me Tsu." She just said and that made a slight blush come to my face at being somewhat comfortable calling a girl by a nickname.
"O-Okay Asu-Asui-Tsu-San" I said bashfully and she just waved it off casually.
"How are you guys being so Normal right Now!" Asked a panicked Mineta as we both look at him to see another level of panic on his face. While I had given myself time to think why I was so calm Asui-I mean Tsu answered him immediately.
"Well I'm not the type to get overly showy." With that even I had to look at her with a disbelief look coming across my face as Asui-I mean Tsu….I'm bad at this aren't I… she just put a finger close to her mouth in a wondering pose if you could call it that anyways.
"Um well for me I'm just motivated and that really keeping my fear at bay or its what I feel." My own desire to help people over my time at U.A high liter itself even when I saw Kaachan-…Bakugo got more points then me during the Entrance Exam not only did he beat me in Villain Points but also in Hero Points and that's driven me even more maybe that's why I'm able to use 4% instead of 3% is what I'm thinking.
Anyways I'm going off on a tange- I look over to my companions to see them wielded out and my eyes widened as I must have been muttering out loud and before I could apologize a sudden slam was heard below us as the boat shook.
"There ahh hitting the boat." I said looking back down at the Villain's who some of them managed to rip a bit of the bottom of the boat with there quirks.
"What are we gonna do!" Cried Mineta an tears came out of his eyes in a rather comical amount and he was moving around like he was throwing a tantrum.
"Are you sure your really cut out for the Hero Program." Asui-Tsu said as we both looked at him and he just looked at us and pointed.
"Well I didn't think we would be fighting Villains and they said there going to kill All Might!" He said spreading his arms out in a showy manner as the boat rocked again.
"Well we can't wait for any hero's as communication isn't a option." I said looking at my phone which was glitching out and refused to turn on.
"We need to deal with this ourselves then." Tsu said walking closer to the edge to inspect the damage on the boat.
"I think in about 5 minutes the boat will tip over so we have that amount of time to make a plan may I ask what your quirks do again a quick rundown please." I ask with my own thinking pose as I turned to the two as Mineta was wiping the tears from his eyes so Asui-Tsu dammit I'm bad at this, Started.
"My quirk is Frog I can bassically do anything a Frog can do it's self explanatory." She said as I nodded along and I turn to the boy now done clearing his tears as he grabs one of the purple balls from his supposed hair and stuck it onto the wall.
"My quirk is called Pop Off there is balls on my head that stick to anything other then me. I bounce off them." He demonstrated by touching the stuck ball on his glove as it got stuck.
"Uhh…" silence was heard as Mineta struggled getting his hand off the ball until the glove came off leaving his hand as it flopped without Mineta's hand inside.
"Those gloves probably won't work since you said yourself Mineta-Kun." I said as he sticks the other glove to another ball he placed down.
"I think I've got an Idea." I said now looking at the two.
"We'll-"
Todoroki POV
Avoiding an attack from a Villain and grabbing the string attaching to the Villain I froze him and the weapon making him look like a ice sculpture as he looked quite elegant in the pose I trapped him in. I watched as all the Villains I had dealt with before shiver from the cold.
'These people are only low level thugs and from what I heard from that Mist Villain was they where here to kill All Might…Why and how could they think they cou-' My thoughts where cut off as I avoided a blast of red edging to blue fire.
I look around in the direction of the blast as i reposition myself back into a more open area and see a man with heavy scars approaching slowly.
"Shoto Todoroki…" He said as my eyes widen and the ice over my head on my left side melted off as I used another wall of ice to block a attack of fire coming from the man.
I used my quirk to move away as I watched the wall collapse in on itself as I carried myself on my Ice.
'Who is this man and have we met before?' I thought as I saw him glance at me when I skated back down to the ground.
We stood there like if time stopped there was something different about this villain then the others he had something the others didn't and I could see it.
Going on the attack I make a wave of ice towards the man as the wave nears him as my outstretched arm was the the motion that caused the ice to move at faster speeds.
It raced towards the man who just raised his right slowly and activated his quirk starting with a small flame and he shot a wave of Blue Fire completely going thru the wave of Ice making its way towards me.
I stood frozen just like my ice as the fire burned in the air and raced towards me.
'I-Why Can't I Move?!' My eyes became more hollow as I saw the fire come faster towards me as I started to remember something I didn't think I would ever remember.
My Father…
This Flame…it's a remnant of My Father's quirk…I could feel it…this man was someone related to Endeavor!
Something inside me convulsed as I felt a hand on my shoulder but when I looked that way I saw nothing but my own reflection in the ice looking straight at me.
I took a clean good look at myself and I cringed at the view I had.
I stopped looking in the mirror after my Mother burned my face and left me with the scar that immortality changed me to the person I am today and it's today that I looked at who I was.
I looked like a puppet being controlled by hate towards my left side. I looked at my left arm which was shaking uncontrollably.
I lost I decided it now my Ice alone can't beat everything.
Why you ask I came to this conclusion…
One person a name a person wanting to become a hero.
Katsuki Bakugo
That person beat me…he beat me like I wasn't even competing with him and it only made me mad. I've been training for so long and for so much of the things I lost in the process to become this just for this kid out of nowhere to beat me not only during the Quirk Assessment but also…absolutely destroy me in the Battle Trail.
I remember what he said to me right as he left with Shoji and Iida so clearly when I sorrowfully picked myself up.
"Hey what the hell was that." He said as he waved Shoji and Iida to leave ahead of him as he looked at me.
"Tch" I back then only clicked my tongue in annoyance as he went again.
"What was that I heard you could use both Fire and Ice why are you limiting yourself." He said as I looked up at him and gave him a glare.
"You don't know anything so you shouldn't intrude." I said cold fury as I struggled to stand up with the ice.
"I don't know what's happening with you or your problems but I'll tell you this Todoroki….be ther Hero you want to be and don't let you past limit who you can be. Because damn it damn well happened to me too." He said as he finally left out from the door as my eyes stayed open and I just stood there dumbly looking at the place he was for a minute.
'Be the hero I want to be?' I placed a hand on my heart as I contemplated this.
'Don't let your past limit who you can be?' I looked at my right hand now free of the ice as I started to close it into a fist before a speaker sounded out.
"Young Todoroki are you alright." All Might said through the speakerphone as I let my arm drop to my side as I walk out of the room empty, upset, angered but most of all confused.

The sound of a cold mist spread in the air followed by a great flame shot out of me.
I opened my eyes to see all over close to me being frozen to the brim with cold ice then a great flame burn on my left side igniting on my left side all over.
"Well if it isn't the masterpiece." The man said under his breath.
I continued to observe as the flame burned off the frost growing one me as I regulated my temperature in the first time in years.
I looked over to the man across from the battlefield of ice as he was a bit frosted over himself until he surrounded himself in his own flames and melted everything around him.
"We will meet again Shoto Todoroki." He said getting overcome by darkness as he disappeared.
"I'll see you again…whoever you are." I said absentmindedly as i inched out of the ice I was over and fell under the pressure of overusing my quirk as I started to fall. I was caught as my vision started to fade in and out of consciousness.
"I've got you." A voice said as my eyes saw a boy with ash blonde hair and in my last moments I smiled.
"Bakugo…"
