Chapter 7 Training in Waves

Sasuke faced the tree he was smirking at he was going to get this Tree walking down liking split and start sparring with Sakura for some extra practice. He ran to the tree and got a couple steps up the tree until the back exploded under him.

"The bark explodes when you have too much Chakra In your feet and you need to keep a constant flow of Chakra to keep hold of the tree at all times where you just do it subconsciously even. Sasuke clicked his tongue and went back at it as Naruto himself tried to run up the tree himself only for him to slip of the Tree and fall to be caught by Sakura. "S-Sara-Chan." Naruto was blushing at the proximity of himself and Sakura though Sakura at the moment only wanted to now if he was okay. Sasuke looked on in annoyance as he went back to wall walking.

"Slipping off the wall means you aren't putting enough Chakra into your feet." I yelled out as Sakura soon got off of Naruto so he could get better at this.

Staying back we all watch them to continue to fall down.

"Hey Shikamaru I remember that you were able to get to the top of the tree on your first try didn't you." Asuma-Sensei said as I looked at him menacingly. "So did Sakura and even Ino got it pretty easily." I say to try to get all the attention and mild hate that both the other teams boys have for me.

"Well I guess the Uchiha Clan isn't all that huh and Naruto I thought you wanted to become Hokage but from what I'm seeing Shikamaru is a better bet for Hokage than you!" Asuma-Sensei won't shut his fucking Mouth! What is this dickhead doing I know it's for motivation but this is to ducking much! They literally might kill me in my sleep dude.

"Hey don't talk to my teammates like that!" Sakura yelled at Asuma-Sensei she knew herself that this was for motivation but the things Asuma-Sensei did say was out of order. I saw both Naruto and Sasuke turn there heads as they initially angry at what Asuma-Sensei said and turned with renewed vigor.

Both Sasuke and Naruto were about to start going back to trying to wall run until Sakura went against Asuma-Sensei and defended her two teammates who blushed and felt there hearts beat a bit faster than normal and that wasn't because of them moving.

"Yea Asuma-Sensei 'Chat Shit get Banged mate." I turn as I replicated a bad British accent as Asuma-Sensei lifted his eyebrow.

"What was that for an Accent I've never heard it before." I just shrugged not wanting to go into it. Though with the time we had I had an idea.

"Hey Asuma-Sensei do you perhaps have Chakra paper." Asuma-Sensei looked at me as his eyes widened at the implication as the others just raised there eyebrows but soon Sakura got what it was.

"Chakra Paper is a way to check what is your Natural Elemental chakra nature. You're planning on learning Chakra Natures Shikamaru-Kun." I nodded and I waited for an answer.

"I have some." I voice from the door sounded out as Kakashi-Sensei who was using some of the Crutches Tsunami and Tazuna had in the house.

"Seriously don't you ever take a moment off." I blank at him as he unloaded a scroll filled with a couple of them.

"I was thinking of starting my own team with it after the tree and water walking but I have a couple extra for your students as thanks for the training a month ago and sorry for exposing you Shikamaru." Quit saying stuff like that cyclops.

"You didn't expose nothing but your own fantasies Kakashi-Sensei." I took one of the papers as I channeled my chakra inside of it and saw three things happen. Half of my page wrinkled a four of my page turned to dirt and crumbled away and the last part of the paper started to burn away.

'Wait what Shikamaru's Chakra natures were just fire and earth so where the fuck did that lightning come from…wait is that mine like the one I would get if I got sent her like a normal Isekai is lightning and from what I can judge it's really potent…Kakashi I can feel the bastards smile.

"My maybe you should hand him over Asuma so he could be my apprentice especially with his elements of lightning." I could practically hear the giggle and want to tease Asuma-Sensei more coming from the silver haired man.

"Yea tough we'll let's check the others first." Asuma-Sensei eyed Kakashi-Sensei as we watched the others fill there chakra into the paper as Sakura's reacts first as her paper half's as one part get wet and the other starts to crumble away.

Ino meanwhile funneled her chakra into the paper for it to do the exact same thing as Sakura's as half of it crumbles and the other one gets wet.

Choji himself watched his paper burn away and some of it turn to durn and crumble away.

"Well you all have earth release and Shikamaru you have an additional strong lightning release and equal fire nature." Asuma-Sensei had his eyes on me and honestly getting three Chakra natures in for affinities is a spectacle but is it as I'm like a combined two people means I have one and Shikamaru has the other two. Asuma-Sensei eyes flickered to both Ino and Sakura.

"You guys both have natural affinity's for both Water and Earth which is impressive you both have that," Asuma-Sensei now looked on at Choji as he looked at the dirt now on his shoes.

"Choji you have both the Fire and earth chakra natures." He put a hand on Choji's shoulder as he leaned on the boy and looked at them.

Huh well than I guess he's deciding what elements we should train.

"Alright Tsnami-San do you have any extra light bulbs anywhere." I heard Kakashi-Sensei say as he looked back at the door.

"Well Choji for you you would want to get a leaf from a tree and try to burn the leaf with your chakra." Choji nodded before going in the direction of a tree.

"Ino and Sakura for you it's to control the water by your hands like controlling its flow and how it moves and maybe even being able to keep some water from falling out of your hand with your chakra." Asuma-Sensei finished as everyone nodded and separated.

I went inside and saw Kakashi-Sensei holding a light bulb in his hand as he turned slowly to see me by the door way and I stepped back out so he could make his way outside again.

"So what you will need to do is produce an electric current passed the thin metal filament, strong enough to heat the heat the filament unit as it glows and produces light." At that Kakashi-Sensei did it himself making the light bulb shine as I turn my head at the brightness. He stops and gives an eye smile as he stands looking in the direction of Naruto and Sasuke struggling to beat there high score of a couple meters off the ground.

"Sasuke, Naruto being angry or aggravated isn't the best way to control Chakra you have to be calm and your chakra react calmly." Kakashi-Sensei said as Sasuke calmed himself down and proceeded to outrun his previous best as he exploded the bark but caught himself in a flip and a smirk was plastered on his face.

Right anyways I try to run my chakra through the metal but not really knowing what to do nothing happened….oh wait Naruto for his elemental training in Shippuden apparently had to visualize a cut on the leaf so why don't I visualize brightening my Chakra.

Closing my eyes and covering the metal in my chakra visualizing it I saw a little beam of light come from the light bulb but it was very weak.

"Oh my you've are very fast at this it hasn't even been that long." Kakashi-Sensei said as he looked at the light bulb.

"Your not done yet though so you need to continue until you make it bright like the way I did." Kakashi-Sensei said as he leaned a bit closer rubbing his chin with his fingers.

Training for the day consisted of us training like the same until all our Chakras reserves were almost gone and by dinner we all wanted food not only are we depleted but so is our Chakra so we need some food. I want some food inside me and Choji looks like he might end himself If he doesn't eat so there might not be much food left oh my fucking god! Choji NOO!

Running inside and sitting inside a chair at quick speeds as Tsunami just finished the cooking at brought the food on the table I see a small kid in the stairwell.

'Inari right yea hopefully Naruto would scold him later I mean he holds neutral for like two days so we're fine until Haku arrives but even then I haven't thought of what I should do should I try and fight her or him I don't know they might be double bluffing and I've never seen some guy looking slim like that and I could tell Haku is well developed but could gain more muscle mass so I don't really know. Well maybe we could capture him with me and Naruto. Or I'm over estimating myself.

Well the food was nice I may not have a clue what I'd really is but hey it tasted good and I know it isn't poison so yea. The cuisine here in the Ninja world are a lot different then from anywhere I could possibly imaged there are multiple cultures in my world that make the different lands like fire and wave there diffrerent and probably land of wind as well.

Resting a tiny bit before doing some bit last minute training but that not going any where and sleeping till the early morning I was woken up by Asuma-Sensei who was in his gear i scrunch my eyes as he looked at me.

"Get up and dressed we're being Tazuna-San's bodyguards until he finishes the bridge. It should be about a week until Haku and Zabuza arrive and I think that Zabuza is at like 80% of his strength while Kakashi was all but healed from his Chakra depletion.

I lean on the bridge railing while trying to make the shine of this light bulb more I mean once I'm able to get Kakashi-Sensei's approval I'll be on the way for the second thing. I might be doing something wrong though. Light bulbs work I need to heat up the filament's in the bulb to Electricity or lightning needs to be bright and Hot!

Adding the hot feeling onto the brightness of my visualization it grew the brightness to even more then what Kakashi-Sensei did…cool but bright to blind meee.

I saw Asuma-Sensei walk in from my right to see the light bulb glow to that equal to Kakashi-Sensei and walked closer to me. "Seems like you got it ugh and not even in a day,,,that is very strange I never seen anyone do it that fast." Well I don't really know how but I try to understand my Chakra and I know what my chakra is it's like my life force and you can use it at your will so visualizing and replicating never really been that hard. I mean I'm also not so dense or block headed that I kind off already seen people do it or how I know how electricity works also helps so all my knowledge is really helping.

"Well I just a good observer and I tried to figure out why it wasn't working like how Lightning is bright but it's also hot if you been hit by lightning you know it's like I burning feeling almost like it's cooking you." Asuma-Sensei guided his fingers a across his chin in wonder

"There are times when you need to pull back and asses the situation and possible hypothesis on why is working or not working." Asuma-Sensei looked at me wierdly.

"You act smarter then you let on." I turn to face him and blink rather forcefully while having a glare.

"You make it seem like I'm an idiot." Asuma-Sensei looked away awkwardly as I punched him in the stomach.

Getting home in the evening as we walk inside only to see Tsunami cooking and no one nearby. 'There probably outside aren't they.'

Kakashi POV

Watching the progress of the 5 student with only me only being able to walk barely by myself I observed as Sasuke and Naruto tried to force there Chakra into there feet and hold it there almost like a damn and reservoir but Chakra isn't like that you must guide it and control must be smooth not forced and rough unless you want to fall so being forcefull and not being gracefull is a big problem. I want these two to stop and think what they did wrong but whenever I try to call on them they just ignore me and continue going. I sigh as I look over to Choji who seemed to be trying his hand upon the burn leaf exercise where you use your Chakra like a match or spark for the leaf to start burning and when you could start controlling the amount the flame burns of the leaf is considered a pass before trying to burn a whole block of wood which instead of being need to use a glare you need to be able to engulf it in flames by your chakra alone which makes it harder than most other Chakra natures to learn so that's really why only Chunins and above learn about Chakra natures but I don't know if they should restrict chackra nature until Chunin or some Jonin do for there genin until there Chunin. We teach our kids what we want them to learn and they might want to learn from someone else that you don't know that's fine for me though Asuma might be a little different thought but I think it's because of how close I am with Shikamaru that he would just forget about Asuma and his teachings but I've seen him now though he has really copied some of the people reaction like blanking at people or of something of that nature. The kid there something about him though I can't put my hand on it, there might be something suspicious potentially but I wouldn't classify as a bad thing plus from what I've seen of the boy and his background he is very unlikely to have or do something stupid or outrageous.

I start to get up shakely as I grab one of the crutches as I start to walk off I gave a side eye to Choji as I say a light coming from his hand but it didn't fully light on fire. 'Just a little more Chakra and you got it Choji.'

Walking until I saw a clearing with water and the two girls with both there hands in the water controlling the currents of the water there hands are above and just out off the hands range even that water is being controlled. "Hey Kakashi-Sensei perfect timing is this how we're supposed to do." I nodded impressed very with how they've done this but now seeing the both of them it wasn't like how Sasuke and Naruto are, there both friends and want the other to succeed while also having a friendly rival but with Naruto and Sasuke it isn't as Friendly with the name calling and probably if I heard there past behavior then they had a ton of fights over the time spanning over the academy.

"Well I think you know what the other thing you need to do but here let me just re explain it for you. You need to keep the water from the lake in your hand kind of like a glove and if it drops then you failed that time but once your able to like a full glove of water then I think that's what considers done." I nodded at the girls and they nodded back and started to get back to work.

Walking back to the direction of the home I see a multitude of flowers and other herbs hmm maybe I should have Sakura check them out later…wait I thought I recognized them there the ones Sakura picked up once we got here to help me replenish my Chakra. I grabbed a handful and leaned on both crutches as they were both now on my left side so I could carry these herbs.

Entering the clearing and seeing new people at the doorway which were Shikamaru and Asuma who stepped outside and closing the door behind them. "Yo Kakashi-Sensei look!" He raised the light bulb before channeling Chakra and everyone's attention was on the bright light coming from the light bulb.

"Is that good enough or do I need some more." I gestured a no as her smiled and put the light bulb down and lay down on the floor before taking a nap right there. 'Oh okay did he try all that time when he woke up I mean I can tell he tried very hard.' I just pass by them and put the herbs on the table and write a note for Sakura to take a look at them and I myself went to the couch now and take a nap the tiredness from being awake and using my strength when I'm still recovering though I haven't used almost any chakra my normal body still tired and demands more sleep.

"Shikamaru" POV

Waking up outside Sakura was the one waking me up and I get up with a yawn escaping my mouth as Sakura giggles and my vision clears from the haze mess it was as I struggle to stand before using my hands and getting help from Sakura as she pulled me up.

"Thanks for that." I smile at her as I rub the back of my head as her face had a lasting smile on it.

"Hurry because food's going to run out." My eyes widen and I gain all my energy back and I run back inside very quickly and I heard Sakura laugh once more.

Sitting at the table was everyone living here currently and that also meant little Inari he was sad oh what happened oh was it the talk of heroes and how his dad died hmm I was asleep when that happened and it must have not been that long ago couldn't it have been so that's why he looks a bit more sad and his eyes look like the kids been crying.

After finishing dinner and hearing Choji asking for more and grabbing some more food as he munched through more of Tsunami'a food. I just take out my book once more for such a small book it was compacted well. It was more than 500 pages and went through in very big detail on every character which meant ver perverse pervyness and Kakashi-Sensei giggling in the corner. Though I do that when I read I don't do it usually when other people are around because I'm not that socially awkward…am I or am I just subconscious enough to not ugh Kakashi-Sensei is such a enigma isn't he. Well it doesn't matter what else do I need to do for my lightning release I mean I'm kinda happy I'm learning it first other than Kakashi-Sensei teaching it to me which he and Shikamaru are my favorite over them all but I'm also happy that this is my special release and not something from Shikamaru I mean I know to feel guilty over this is ridicules and illogical but that's the nature of us humans we go against logic like Naruto he would want to burn the village but he likes it a only some people like him so that little amount of people change his opinion even though it's very illogical. We humans are truly really special like how we can change just from some words and how we could build resistance to poisons and other things we just are creatures of adaption aren't we that's why we're called the top of the food chain.

Sleeping well today as I wasn't woken up especially early by Asuma-Sensei but the person gone was Choji who probably took a lead but other than that nothing happened this morening as I just waited for Kakashi-Sensei to wake up and show me the next step to for the Lightning release training. I waited outside as Naruto and Sasuke were still on tree climbing like it isn't supposed to be this hard. They made it quite high up before falling into a nearby trees branch and jumping down. I notice that they aren't getting angry but there face was different it wasn't relaxed but strained. Ah I get it are they forcing it to happen.

"Oi Sasuke, Naruto can you guys hold up real quick." I saw Naruto and Sasuke stop before hitting the tree with there heads as they turn back with a glare aimed at me as I sighed maybe it's best not to interrupt these two.

"You guys are forcing your Chakra you shouldn't do that you must be it's guide." I kinda sounded like Iroh from avatar when he trains Zuko to redirect lightning and here I am saying that. They looked on at the tree before relaxing there senses and starting to walk up the tree until they both got to the top. I heard Naruto's cheer as he was on a branch next to the very top of the tree he was on. Hmm now they got that I wonder if they could get Water walking in the same week. They came down from the tree all energetic I don't think they know about water walking do they. We'll time to kill there buzz.

"So you guys ready for Water Walking next." They turned to me with blank gazes.

"Water…what" Sasuke said unbelievably as even Naruto backed him up. I sigh and gesture them to follow me. We walk all the way where Sakura and Ino should be and we get there we see a couple of water slides right off her hand.

"Oh Sakura it's nice to see you." She turned and waved and saw Naruto and Sasuke behind me.

"Oh did you guys complete Tree walking." They nodded as Sakura beamed at them.

"Well now you can practice on Water Walking then." They blank once more.

"Wait so Shikamaru wasn't making fun at us…" Sakura looked on disbelieving Naruto as she looked at me and I just shrugged I didn't really know what Kakashi-Sensei was going to make me do but it would be worse than this. I waved my hand goodbye and walked back to Tazuna's home hoping and getting what I hoped for when Kakashi-Sensei was waiting there without any of the crutches ah he must feel better now huh that's good.

"Kakashi-Sensei are you feeling any better now." He nodded his head before looking at me intently.

"The next step of your lightning release training is to apply your Chakra to an object…" was that it…I mean like what isn't there supposed to be another step right? Well I mean I guess he knows best doesn't he but we'll I guess it might be like since it's a change in Chakra shape with the object probably a kunai so yea I get what you're putting down Kakashi-Sensei.

I grab a Kunai out of my pouch made of Chakra conductive metal like all the other Kunai's in my pouch I hold onto the end and try to apply what I learned with the light bulb to only make the kunai shinier and the i blank…change in shape…this is going to take me a while longer than the first step…I guess there's no better time than now anyway.

It's the third day we've been at Wave and now it seems like everyone's training as gone good yesterday Choji managed to finish the first step and move onto the second of burning a wood block. Ino and Sakura have gotten more and more Water into there hands and gotten to keep it on there hands without moving for more time and Sasuke and Naruto were training overtime wanting to catch up as there going faster than what they were with tree walking and already could stand 2 minutes in the water while sparing each other on top of the water. It was faster than what I could do it took me days before getting there maybe 2 more days but still there moving fast to try and catch up with everyone. While I barely am able to make a kunai surrounded by lightning Chakra. This was a long process and I died to think outside the box but maybe just doing the obvious answer will bear the solution. I try again and lightning spread through only a bit of the kunai as it started to sparkle a bit but not go any further…I need to get better at manipulating lightning chakra. I sigh and keep with my training it would hurt me more to give up then stab myself I take to much pride in ridicules stuff.

I am strange I quickly realize this as I let my hair down and scratch the itch that was littering my head one thing that having a constant ponytail is not being able to scratch itches currently I was just outside of Tazuna's home and I was just itching my itch as I saw the 4 earlier Sakura, Ino, Sasuke and Naruto and they were all wet.

"Hey you guys look like you've been having fun." I looked at them as I laid back but still kept my sitting position as I looked at them. They all turned to me not noticing me until I called out to them. If I stand corrected this is the second time they seen me without a ponytail and that last time was when we were fighting and we couldn't really care about appearance.

Sakura POV

Walking in the direction of the Tazuna-San's home I look at the boys who insisted on a break and proceeded to splash me and Ino with water and we retaliated making it to a war of water and it was really fun and silly. Every time though when I face the direction of Naru or Sasuke the blush and look away I wonder why? But they seemed really happy when I laughed I felt like I was getting more on the path of what Shikamaru-Kun was telling me about being nice and you'll start getting results and I was I found out my old childhood friend Naru was Naruto and it made me feel a little worse but I wanted to rekindle what we had back then and with Sasuke he doesn't just grunt anymore and he's a lot more expresive then I thought he would be at first but it's actually really funny that and Kakashi-Sensei helping us with our teamwork and putting me in the hospital to learn from them it's just because of Shikamaru-Kun . More images of Shikamaru-Kun flash into my mind as my heart begins to flutter more then ever. Why am I acting like this. My heart it beating so fast and I feel hot…Shikamaru-Kun…

"Hey you guys look like you've been having fun." We all turned to him with his hair down and….he looked h-handsome…I've never seen him like this before…um… my hearts starts to beat with more intensity then before.

"Y-you look good with you're hair down S-Shikamaru-K-Kun" why am I stuttering with my best friend other than Ino. Ino looked at me to see if I was alright but I zoned her out.

"Um you guys might want to wash up I see through you're guy's clothes." That took me under a loop as I looked down and you could see everything underneath and even m-my bra was covered and almost see through.

"D-did you look." I said rapidly as I covered myself with my arms trying to get him to look away.

"Of course I looked but it I looked away you aren't a piece a meat Sakura plus I know you're already beautiful so why would I need to act like a pervert." My eyes widen as I can be certain that I blushed scarlet red and ran inside and barreling into the shower after grabbing spare clothes.

"Shikamaru" POV

Seeing Sakura run with a red face made me chuckle as I had a blush on my face as well I wasn't a pervert but I enjoyed seeing the human body in clothes actually I realized I like girls in clothes than without them it's weird kink I think? I was only like 17 when I got here and even then it's been like what a month though I am considered an adult now for some reason they do that as well. Um I don't know about romantic partners and although something about Sakura attracts me to her I don't have that spark to actively engage in talking with her so I just lay off but sometimes I feel the same way when I'm talking to Ino ohh I'm to young for this.

It has now been what 5 days since we've been here and it's now dinner time and I usually tune everyone out until I heard a shout come from the usually quiet kid as the boy stood up from his seat at the table and slammed his hands on the table. "Why do you all Train so hard when Gato has an entire army that can kill you guys!" Inari said as he looked upon the shinobi in the room I just couldn't care at the moment as I continued eating.

"It's all just a waste of time! Every cool thing you say. The weak will always be weak and the strong will always win" Inari huffed

"Just speak for yourself you got that kid!?" Naruto was squinting at the kid

"Why don't you be quiet cause looking at you makes me sick, you don't know anything about this country and your just budding in. Always playing around and laughing. You don't know what it's like to suffer and be treated like dirt." Naruto at that slammed his hands on the table.

"You're nothing but a stupid coward! That whines and complains are you sure you know what true suffering is kid" He walked off angrily as he picked a plate of food and took it outside. Inari seeing the blond boy lash out at him went outside as well through the front entrance.

I'll get Naruto when it's morning I sigh myself at the kids words it was honestly weird just because you suffered doesn't mean you have to act like it. Whatever it's just a bit weird hearing a kid say that and I saw Kakashi-Sensei go out the same door Inari did. The dining table was quiet after that but I just continued eating on.

Waking up relatively early and to see almost no one awake I grab my gear and make way for outside I need to look for Narjto and fast before Haku leaves.

Going through the forest until I see a clearing where there seems to be a orange jumpsuit in I see Haku the person in a pink kimono. I sigh and do the hand signs and grab a kunai imbued my Kunai with Shadow and it landed next to there feet as she reacted of that as a damsel in distress falling back as Naruto grabbed a kunai on his own. I activated my shadow's and captured Haku as Haku stood up because of the shadow I jumped into the clearing as they did a small jump forward aswell.

"Shikamaru what are you doing this guy is friendly!" Naruto shouted as Haku tried giving me puppy eyes.

"Well first off that "Dude" is a chick and she fits the description of the Hunter nin Kakashi-Sensei told me about and those herbs are known to help someone recover that's three strikes lady." She looked like she regretted her decision. I knew I got her she didn't want to to allure to Naruto that she might have been a shinobi but in the end I got her plus she has no weapons and other than her hands and speed that recently I have been working on. I just look at her then at Naruto who was shocked over the whole situation.

"Naruto I got some leftover Ninja wire." Naruto looked down as he walked over his face was covered by his hair. He walked up behind me and punched me in the back of the head breaking my concentration on Haku and letting her run off.

I saw and I tried to run after her but my hand was caught by Naruto who's eyes were still covered by his hair.

'What the hell Naruto! You shouldn't be doing this why are you doing this!' I wrestled out of Naruto grip as he punched me in the face as blood came from my nose and I fell feeling the pain in that punch. It was stopped when Sasuke jumped into the clearing and saw me bleeding and Naruto's fist with blood on them.

"Naruto! What the hell are you doing Shikamaru is an ally." Even Sasuke wouldn't attack like that he might have not known the situation but you shouldn't fight your comrades.

"It seems like Haku-Chan's safe," Naruto walked passed Sasuke and jumped out of the clearing as I picked myself up.

"What happened." Sasuke asked as he moved closer to me.

"Naruto made friends with the Hunter nin and I captured her but Naruto broke my concentration and let her escape." I leaned into Sasuke as he took my body weight. Sasuke eyes widen and I passed out a blow to the back of the head hurts you and damages your brain but from what I felt it only rendered me unconscious.
