Chapter 8 Encounter

Sasuke POV

After hearing what Shikamaru had to say I held him up and put him on my back as he fell unconscious. 'Naruto I knew you were stupid but this is too far even for you dobe!' I ran and jump on anything in my way and with Shikamaru on my back it made things even harder for me as the boy was about what I weighed.

Making it home with a little sweat building on my brow I quickly open the door to see everyone now awake and Naruto sitting relaxed on the couch. Anger builds inside me as my Sharingan activate and I jump towards Naruto as he was caught off guard and my punch to his cheek landed as Asuma-Sensei and Kakashi-Sensei rushed in to grab me away from the dobe as Kakashi-Sensei went to Naruto's side and held the boy back from retaliating.

"Dumb ass what the hell did you Do!" I yelled as my eyes were trained on the blonde.

"Wait what happened Sasuke…What happened to Shikamaru!" Kakashi-Sensei saw the unconscious Shikamaru and Sakura who walked into the room went straight for Shiakamaru to assess the damage done.

"Usaratonkachi let go of an that fake Hunter nin with Zabuza and knocked Shikamaru unconscious when he captured her!" Everyone was quiet as everyone looked at Naruto with shocked looks.

"Naruto what we're you thinking" Kakashi-Sensei scolded the boy but he could only reply somewhat angrily.

"She is a good person Kakashi-Sensei!" Naruto yelled as Kakashi-Sensei had about enough of Naruto's yelling.

"Naruto just because she 'may' be a good person she is still an enemy helping Zabuza and altering here would have brought info and info is half the battle we could have found Zabuza and ambush him but why did you attack Shikamaru." Naruto gripped his hands tighter into fists.

"She manipulated the Dumbass that's what." I said as Naruto looked down.

"She could have had the chance to kill me but she didn't and I can't fight good people…not Haku she…wouldn't lie…" Kakashi-Sensei's eyes proceeded to widen some more.

"Naruto how could you even be so sure…she is a enemy kunoichi and very well be tricking you." Kakashi-Sensei wanted to tell sense into the boy I wanted to as well.

"She told me…that when you have someone to protect them that's when you become truly strong." Silence came into the room as no one dared say anything.

"Yea…so killing and interrogating is off that list huh." That was Shikamaru's voice. All eyes turn to the boy who managed to roll over and laid on his back. Sakura tended to Shikamaru as Asuma-Sensei dropped me and went to check on Shikamaru. My eyes return to Naruto who's eyes widened.

"Huh did you think Shinobi's were heroes that saved princesses from rouge Shinobi…heh hahaha that's funny." Shikamaru let out a brief laugh as Naruto looked at him with his eyes fully widened.

"Yea I know you told me about how the 4th Hokage killed over a thousand Iwa Shinobi and you called him a hero and savior and wanted to be just like him. Yes he might have been a very good guy and good Shinobi we're very buyest in what we call because in our eyes the Fourth Hokage protected us from the army of Shinobi's threatening the Leaf Villiage in the 3rd Great Shinobi War.

But have you ever considered it the other way." That left many people thinking and both Asuma-Sensei and Kakashi-Sensei realized what Shikamaru was going to say and from there faces deep down I know I need to hear this as well.

"Think of Iwa in that exchange think how many people The Fourth Killed to protect Konoha think of how many Fathers, Mothers, Brothers, Sisters, Children he slaughtered for Konoha, Think Naruto I want you to think if you're not willing to kill someone to keep a friend safe does that friend even matter to you!" Shikamaru yelled at him as his eyes started to tear at the corners.

"This is reality it's a kill or be killed world….there might be peace between the 5 great shinobi villages one day but that won't stop people from hurting one another to protect there loved ones and if your not willing to do anything for those bonds then do those bonds even matter to you…I wanted to capture her to get info and stop Zabuza from potentially killing someone I care about and I don't care if I have to fight you for them NaruTO-" I heard Shikamaru grab his head as he bowled in pain as Sakura went to talk to him about how it felt and what he was feeling. Naruto meanwhile sat stone faced as Kakashi-Sensei grabbed him by his hip as he dropped. "You need to think about your priorities as a Ninja Naruto unless you want to see a friend die in front of you because you hesitate to kill someone that's threat them…I happened to me more times then I could count and I still hurt because of them."Kakashi-Sensei stopped as Naruto looked at him before Kakashi-Sensei going upstairs as we hear a noise upstairs probably that of Kakashi-Sensei dropping him on the floor.

It was now silent in the room as Shikamaru howls were the only thing of noise in the room.

'Here what was that jutsu the nurse used…um um Mystical Palm Jutsu.' Sakura went through a few hand signs before she stopped and her hand glowed green.

'If I add to much I might hurt him she said' Sakura remembered what one of the doctors said when she was ghosting and acting like a nurse. She laid her hands on the back of Shikamaru's head as he started to calm down slowly until he fell calmly a sleep. Sakura upon seeing him sleep checked him again and upon seeing him fully recovered let go of the breath she'd been holding as she she starts breathing harder and harder. As the heavy ness becomes to much as she passed out from panic upon the true damage she could have caused him and the exertion of the Jutsu for the first time without any training in it. I caught her falling body as I lifted her up and laid her down as her and Shikamaru's breathing went back to normal.

"Sasuke go into the forest." Asuma-Sensei called on me when I looked back at him to ask.

"Shadow Imitation Jutsu sends damage back to its wielder when the captured person is hurt but who can be said is that the damage on Shikamaru had…the Hunter nIn must be in a similar position…" I was shocked I didn't expect that I just assumed she got away without any harm but that's how the Jutsu of Shikamaru worked.

"Take Ino and Choji with you I'll join you when Kakashi gets back down her go!" Asuma-Sensei gestures me to Ino's and Choji's direction as they suited up putting on there pouches and we went out and I go back to where we where before the Hunter nin escaped. She went in…this direction I saw a pink blur move this way we should find her by this time.

We searched until we heard a cry and a girl in a pink kimono far from where we were she seemed in pain and carried herbs that fell out of her basket. She was to distracted to even feel me tying her up with Ninja wire and give her to Choji to carry as we raced out of the area. I could tell I felt the same tingle when I saw Zabuza the first time he was coming may it be a weaker than he normally is by his injuries but he's still a Jonin despite his current condition. Running fast to even the clearing until I heard something something big…slashing through multiple trees….Duck!

I tackle both Choji and Ino as we fall down and the Hunter Nin who fell by Choji's side. A grunt came from the Man who jumped on the sword as he looked back at the genin who got back up with me at the front of us three.

"Give me back Haku and you might return to your Sensei-Sensei's….there's Moore of you insufferable brats." Zabuza looked at the two genin that weren't here anymore. 'Another Jonin other than Kakashi even then if there not on Kakashi's level a Jonin is still a Jonin.' I heard Zabuza growl as he jumped from his sword dislodging it and landing on the floor as he walked slowly to us. He raised his arm as the sword reeled back and I quickly formed hand signs and shoot him quickly with a fire ball in his direction….he slashed it completely in half as it hit the ground burning out the grass before stopping. Preparing myself with my Kunai as I stared him down as his gaze was leveled on me like I was in his line of sight he rushed with the speed he had and blurred from our vision and another figure stepped in between us…

Asuma-Sensei stood with his trench knives holding back the Kubikiribōchō with what seems like Chakra on his weapons coating them. "You kids go I'll handle this guy." Zabuza growled as he increased the pressure of the weapon on the two little ones but Asuma-Sensei didn't budge.

"Let's go!" I yelled as we took Haku back on Choji's shoulder. We ran as fast as we can until the house was in sight and we stopped right in front and take a breath of fresh air that soon flooded are lungs at the terror a man like that caused.

Asuma POV

Clashing blades with the former mist Jonin as he pulled back on his attack as he didn't see any use in continuing as he looked deeply at me before jumping into some of the trees before activating what I recognize as the hidden mist jutsu as he starts to add Chakra to his voice to project his voice all around me. "You bastard kids are dying right after I'm done with you and Kakashi." That part made him chuckle a bit.

"You could barely get out of a battle alive with Kakashi because of that Hunter nin fake and now you're saying you can take another Jonin then Kakashi you must be more delusional then I thought.." I heard another growl projecting from all my side as I took the time to do the handsigns and do the "Great Breakthrough" a strong wind bursts from my mouth as it clears all the mist in the area.

"Wind user!" Zabuza's voice sounded behind me as I turn to stop a slash aiming right to slash clean through me. Kicking the missing nin in the stomach caused him to recoil back as he jumped back making distance to form in between them. I heard another growl come as I grabbed a kunai from my pouch as j infuse it with my chakra and throw it. He swiftly and easily evaded it "what's a little kunai going to do-" he saw the kunai go through in entire tree and keep going until it went out of sight.

'That's how he was able to hold me back with those knives!' Zabuza thought as if he got hit once from an attack like that he would die hard and fast as it would definitely puncture him maybe even straight through him.

At the battle between us continued I start to see him act more cautiously and stoke to where my blade wasn't but the wind of Flying Swallow extra range gave me then backing up….wait he's gauging where my range for Flying Swallow…this guys smarter then I thought and he managed to go unpunished from all his testing as the giant ass sword was always in the way but it was starting to crack under all the pressure from all the blows it took and to give you that it was sturdy as hell yes it is but once ami get it broken and no blood is shed then I'll be fine on my part.

We rush in for another exchange and I was kicked away this time. "Hrrgh" I recoiled in pain but I put away my Trench knives and perform the hand signs for the Fire Style : Ash Pile Burning. I blew ash at Zabuza who couldn't escape out of the ash as I click the flint in my teeth and blew the whole ash pile to bits. Smoke littered the clearing as the fire made of the Jutsu made me back up at the flash until I saw another thing…it was Zabuza charging! I jumped back but he managed a slash with his newly regenerated Kubikiribõchõ. I coughed at inhaling a bit of the smoke and stare at the guy who should be dead.

"Why the hell don't you die from something like that!" I yelled it was normally a kill move especially if you were in the middle of it like he was…the blade he's still wounded a ton and now I realized he used his blade to block the brunt of the attack while still getting hit the blood now out of his body regenerated the blade back to when the encounter between us started.

"That's the thing with the Kubikiribõchõ it's one of the seven mist blades the first mizukage made for his elites. It heals from the blood absorbed huh it's saved me in more ways than one." I stared down at him as I check the slash…it made it almost through the padding of the Jonin vest entirely and if I didn't jump back it would have sliced me clean through.

Walking and starting the walk to a run a perform a jump slash with my wind chakra from my trench knives sending a wave of sharp wind to be blocked by the blade but take some damage as the chakra in that slash was more than normal. I flared my Chakra in one fatal slash I sliced through his blade and him increasing the length and sharpness of Flying Swallow of that of a full length blade.

Looking at the cut in half body I cut his head and soon seal it in a scroll next to my boat ready to confirm the kill to them for the mission. I smirk came from me Shikamaru has been asking for Weight training but the kid might just buy his own at this point though I don't think his body could handle it not yet anyway maybe after the next Chunin exams in four months time I'll start him he needs to learn better Chakra control not only for his clan jutsu but the new Elemental release he's learning.

"Shikamaru" POV

Where am I again…I just woke up and it's the middle of the night ugh oh yea I yelled at Naruto for being a retard. Ugh that bastard. I get up feeling the urge to drink massive amounts of water I grab a cup and fill it with sink water as I chug the whole thing down my dry throat. I go and check the outside of the home to see the moon out brightening the sky with its light and darkness I don't know really it's bright but also causes Darkness kind off like me in that regard of using my clan jutsu like that. I heard a cry and my eyes went to focus on the noise and to see a tied up Haku outside next to me by the door.

She was crying in her sleep. I go to her side and take a seat and shake her awake. She opened her eyes groggily as she tried to accustom her eyes to the slight light in the sky. She looked around and saw herself tied up. She struggled and struggled to get out of the restraints then she saw the person who first captured her in the first place sitting next to her. Upon seeing my face tears start to come to her eyes as she probably remembered everything that happened.

She was healed by the pink haired girl to hear that Zabuza-Sama was slaughtered and the Kubikiribõchõ resting by a wall.

'Yea I saw that big blade leaning by the wall so they killed him a couple of days before huh I mean like 2 days but still it happened.' I reposition myself to sit more comfortably by the wall when I heard her say something.

"…K-Kill M-Me" I look over to her as she looked down as more tears start to spill out.

"Um…nah" I let my hair down from my tail I slept with it the entire day so my head was at a incline and my neck fucking hurts.

"W-what…" she looked strangely at me. I meanwhile just look up at the moon positioning at a incline to straighten my neck…this is why I don't sleep with pillows.

"Well if I give you what you want than that's the easy way and the world sadly doesn't work like that and since you're alive why don't you find something to live for." I gave her a side eye as she kept looking at me.

"I was Zabuza's tool and I failed… I'm a failure and now Zabuza-Sama is dead. You may not have known but-" Haku the processed to explain to me all about the bloodline purging and that how Haku's story was until here which I didn't need to know as I had some understanding about that but I couldn't really care. Was that an asshole thing to say yea probably but…I got nothing.

"So that's why am asking you to kill me." I looked at her giving her my full attention as I saw her eyes glow in the night sky.

"I'm not going to kill you and if you really have nothing to do than why don't you do what Zabuza was going to do and assassinate the Mizukage. And to be honest there must be something wrong with him though. It might from what I heard of your story been that he was probably controlled by a genjutsu." She looked shocked very shocked but then worked through all the stories Zabuza-Sama told her and it was always him just changing abruptly.

"It must be an Uchiha as they are one if not be the easier to put a Genjutsu at that level." I looked away it was really the only thing that could happen I mean there has been people say that Madara might have been controlling the Third Mizukage when he told Obito that he staged the 3 tails to be put into Rin. Blood Mist really is different isn't it huh.

"Why…won't you I mean even your comrade hit you to protect me." I just sighed it was Naruto and Naruto was a very gullible person in general I mean he also thinks ninja's are like superhero's and how he got that image I don't know but he's acting just like a child.

"Well I think that killing you for no reason wouldn't really do anything I mean you didn't even do anything but attack you know Zabuza and you didn't hurt anyone and your technically not even a certified Ninja so no bounty yea there is nothing I gain from killing other than a yelling from everyone for staining the floor and a bit angry that my clothes get blood on them I mean it's hard to get blood out of your clothes." I continue to ramble on about things that don't even matter as Haku looked down and laughed. She laughed hard that she tipped over and leaned on my shoulder.

"I-I don't think I ever met someone like you Shikamaru-Kun." I look at her strangely as she continued to giggle. I look at her weirdly as more time passes we talked more and more about what we thought or believed in it was pleasant and though she was tied up she didn't mind and in the end.

"Alright it's time." I grab a kunai from my pouch as I slowly lean it to her neck as her eyes Widen open.

"W-Wait!" She panicked.

"But you told me to kill you im just doing what you asked of me." I say it like I'm an innocent bystander heh I'm such an asshole.

"I don't want to die." She looked down as some tears come out.

"What did you say?" I goad her into saying more.

"I don't want to die" she said it and I clearly heard her that time but I wanted to make sure she got the point of what I was doing.

"What's that? I couldn't hear with no conviction." I quickly turn left and saw the sun over the horizon. 'It's fucking morning already' I just sigh and look back at Haku.

"I DON'T WANT TO DIE! NOT ANYMORE!" Haku said with a yell and stared at me with conviction and tears coming to the corners of her eyes as I heard someone inside stumble.

"There isn't that better now you know you're true worth." Her eyes widen as I cut the Ninja wire as her feet that was previously up to her chest go down lazily and her arms do the same as she was shocked realizing what I did she stood on shaky legs and I held her up. She led out some tears more tears though so don't know if there from happiness or sadness I don't know.

"Thank you… I don't know if I can ever repay you Shikamaru-Kun." I just rubbed the back of my head as I let go of her as she was able to stand now getting rid of that shaky feeling in her leg.

"Well you can repay me by…um not crying."

"W-What."

"Yea pretty girls shouldn't be crying you all look cuter when you're smiling you know that." I smile at her and she blushed….inwardly I kind off cringe I used that line although it works I think I might die from pure cringe…why do the cringy lines always work I mean I know I watched a lot of RomCom's when I was back home but I didn't think they impacted me this much. With girls you have to be able to talk the talk as they go through so much and if you can't talk to girls like that then sorry you really can't get them to like you…usually like Asuma-Sensei as from what I saw guys are very straightforward things while the girls are tin more complex but maybe that's why we like them and vice versa.

My thinking was cut off by an abrupt kiss I felt on my lips as the girl a year older than me took my first…what….I blush at the girl as she had an equal blush on her cheeks.

"What are you two doing!?" A shout came from the door as the only one to say anything was Naruto but everyone of the residents was watching us. "Ughhhhh." I looked away as my blush turned to embarrassment as my ears started to light up.

"Ah what the hell Shikamaru could you teach us you're ways." I saw Asuma and Kakashi-Sensei on there knees as if they were praying for me

"Um well I'm just….I use um the girls love cliché and out there things that's what my experience with some of them have taught me." I want to die please kill me…I look over at the group and see Sakura grabbing at her heart like it hurt and so did Ino but at a much less degree.

"Ah so textbook Icha Icha." My eyes returned to Kakashi-Sensei as I actually acknowledge his statements and what's in the book and I nodded as I saw Kakashi-Sensei look at his book very quickly scanning the page and Asuma-Sensei who wanted that book started to grab it as well….

"Jonins everyone elites of our village." I heard Haku giggle as she tried to cover it up. Right these are my Sensei help me god whoever put me in this body because if this is what happens I pray.

Right standing here on the bridge now I try to put my chakra into lightning around the kunai apparently it's supposed to vibrate it and make if you hit someone with it give them paralyzed from what Kakashi-Sensei told me and I'm planning on trying this I mean yea this is difficult and might take me a bit longer but as I can't really concentrate as Naruto is currently yelling at the top of his lungs as he made Shadow Clones to help with the creation of the bridge and everyone being on the bridge it had been two days so now this marks a official week being at Wave and currently Kakashi-Sensei is doing the hidden mist Jutsu as a means to hide the work from others but something unexpected happened I heard something I didn't want to…. "Hello little brother…" I turned quickly as the Hidden Mist Jutsu was quickly all absorbed as everyone viewed the men with black cloaks with red clouds on them…Akatsuki
