~Shina's POV~
"How's Shigaraki?" Were the first words from James mouth when he slid into the passenger seat after school. Kana, who had opened the door and was about to get in, glared at him as she was forced to sit in the back with Yuto who seemed only too relieved to be back among family if the way he immediately leaned back against the seat said anything. Shina glared at James as he closed the door with an expectant look on his face. "What?"
"Why don't you just shout from the rooftops that we know Shigaraki?" Shina hissed. "You need to be careful. Especially since he did just debut his coming out to the world as a villain."
"Calm down Shina, it's not the only name in the world." James rolled his eyes.
"Sure, because everyone is naming their kid 'Shigaraki'. Who would do that to their kid?" Kana asked from the backseat.
"Goths, emos, hardcore people looking for unique names for their kids, people looking to rebel?" Yuto guessed with his eyes closed. "Or psychopaths." Shina sighed as she pulled away from the curb and towards the Ugly House. She did not get paid nearly enough to put up with all these headaches Shigaraki had brought her. It had taken forever to get his wounds cleaned and bandaged. She'd also put on a layer of salve for his itchy skin but she doubted it would do much.
"So? How is he?" James asked breaking through her annoyed haze. "I saw Snipe shot him before you protected him." Shina glanced at him before she forced herself to take a calming breath. It wasn't right for her to put her bad mood on James. She was glad she'd gotten orders to move forward tonight with chaos and pranking. It would relieve her stress.
"He'll live. He was shot through the arms and legs. No bullets left in his body, so I just cleaned him with alcohol and then stitched him up."
"Dang," James muttered before he reached into his wallet and handed Kana some money. "I was betting on him not making it." He said when Shina looked at him.
"Like it would be that easy." Shina muttered darkly. She shook herself to get out of that mindset. "I have good news though; you guys don't have class tomorrow on account of this happening."
"So what are we going to do?" James asked. "Stay at home and watch TV? Play some games?"
"Actually," Shina said slowly, thinking how to word this. If they knew Shigaraki wanted them to do this their enthusiasm would fall away. "I thought you three would enjoy doing what you know how to do best. In that I mean do your own jobs tonight. Steal whatever jewelry, money or treasure you want from Japan's finest museum or jewelry stores."
"Are you serious?." James cried out in excitement. "Finally! When do we start? What are we doing? What are our limitations?"
"Calm down James." Yuto said as his own excitement rose at the thought of breaking into some store or bank. "I want to know, is this a trick?" Shina figured she'd be questioned and responded with a half-truth.
"No tricks. You know our annual prank war on whatever country we're in? Well, I know we missed that on account of us being in retirement this year, so I figured we could do that here. As long as you also make a clean getaway from whatever or wherever you steal from."
"Can we also taunt some of the heroes we may or may not run into?" James asked as he rubbed his hands together.
"I would prefer you didn't but if you do, then I suggest you prank them. Hard." Shina stated in amusement.
"Awesome!" James shouted. "This day got so much better."
"I take it our suits are ready and waiting?" Kana asked.
"Yes but I ask that before we go and cause trouble, we at least go home, do whatever homework you have, eat dinner and then get ready for our late-night excursions."
"Are you going to do this at the same time we usually do?" Yuto asked.
"We'll try to." Shina promised.
"Excellent."
~Later that night~
"You all have your plans memorized?" Sunfire asked her clansmen as they stood on top of their respective rooftops at 9pm that night. Getting out of their home had been harder than she'd thought it would. Mainly because she'd wanted to triple check the kids plans to make sure everything went smoothly during their jobs.
"Yes mother we have everything planned out. You went over everything with a fine-toothed comb." Eclipse complained into his mic. "I want to steal some shiny things now."
"Calm down Eclipse." Egress snapped at him from her position on top of a well-known jewelry store.
"Hold for a few more seconds." Sunfire commanded as she watched the lively street down below her. People were shopping, walking, running, laughing, and just living their lives to the fullest. She didn't envy them in the least. Her eyes narrowed when the first scream came as she focused on the street where a group of teenage girls suddenly backed up in fear as a man landed on the floor with a feral woman on top of him ripping his throat out. The woman then lunged for the girls who screamed in fear and took off. A few other men and women started to run as herd mentality caught a hold of them making them run away in fear. Sunfire had to snort as the illusion zombies ran after the people, just barely managing to 'miss' catching anyone. "You're good to go." Sunfire spoke into her mic.
"Have fun with your prank." Egress chuckled.
"You can join me when your done." Sunfire promised.
"We'll be done soon." Blackout promised before his mic cut out.
~Eclipse's POV~
"Finally." Eclipse said as he and Blackout melted into the shadows. They reappeared in a dark corner of the Museum's security guard office. There were two guards in the office but a quick hit to the temple from both Eclipse and Blackout had the guards falling to the floor, unconscious. "Take them to the rooftop, they should be fine there." Eclipse ordered. Blackout nodded and grabbed both guards, once again melting into the shadows.
Eclipse watched the security cameras, making mental notes of the museum's Hall of Jewels. There weren't any other guards in tonight. This was perfect for him. He formed a Chaos Sphere in one hand, looking for the power box that would keep the security lasers and other measures online. He found it after looking for a few minutes and hit the box, destroying the electrical systems of the museum.
"Good job Eclipse." Blackout commented from behind him.
"Thanks a lot Blackout. Now let's get this done so we can join Sunfire in causing chaos." He grinned. Blackout leapt at him, taking them both through the shadows to the Hall of Jewels. Every exhibit held a few pieces from different countries of the world. It was supposed to be a large attraction, highlighting the changes to jewelry through the centuries and showed the differing techniques from one civilization to the next.
"Oh!" Eclipse yelped as his shoes slipped a bit on the marble floors. "Who puts down marble as a floor?" He complained.
"We told you to wear your grippy shoes." Blackout snickered as he helped Eclipse up to his feet.
"I don't like them." Eclipse snapped at him. Blackout didn't bother to argue with Eclipse as he knew Eclipse could be unreasonable at times.
"What are you going to do with your money?" Blackout asked him instead as they got to work in taking the pretty jewels and placing them in their black bags on their back.
"Games. But I think I'll leave most of it alone. Same old, same old." Eclipse spoke, picking up a tiara from Europe. The sign said it was 16th or 17th century. He didn't really care about that. His mind was fully on how glittery and shiny the jewelry was.
"I'm going to buy everyone's birthday presents early." Blackout said as he picked up some gold bands from an African exhibit. He idly tossed the bands into his bag before moving on to the next exhibit.
"Where are you going to keep it?" Eclipse asked as he picked up the last crown and put it carefully in his bag.
"I was thinking of the eastern house or maybe our southern house. We have a lot of hiding places you know." Blackout stated in a dry voice.
"It's almost like Sunfire was paranoid or something." Eclipse snickered. The two boys quickly filled up their bags. Just as Eclipse had put the last of the jewels in his bag and zipped it up his ears twitched as they caught the sound of air whistling.
"We have company." He warned in a low voice. Blackout nodded and held out his hand for Eclipse's bag. Eclipse threw it to Blackout before he nodded at his cousin. Blackout melted into shadows a second before the doors burst open. A woman with long white hair, bunny ears and muscles came through the doors. "Oh come on! Not a girl!" Eclipse sighed.
"Excuse me?" The rabbit girl spoke. "You got a problem with me being a woman?"
"No, not at all, bunny girl." Eclipse stated in a bland voice. "I just don't like hitting females. Not my kind of thing you know?" Eclipse dodged her powerful kick that would have taken his head off if he'd stayed in the same position.
"Don't call me 'bunny girl'." She growled at him. Eclipse couldn't help the yowl that left his mouth.
"Whatever you say fluff butt. Oh you do have a fuzzy little tail, it's so cute." He jumped upwards to the ceiling as she came at him again. His tail lashed as he swiped at her back with his claws. He didn't get her, but he was able to roll across the floor towards the other entrance. He tried to get back onto his feet but he ended up slipping backwards, which was embarrassing for a second before rabbit girls leg missed him in the next second.
"Don't call me 'cute'." She snarled. "Fight me!" Eclipse had a sudden vision of his cousin saying the exact same thing when he'd shown her the pic of her sleeping in Shogi's arms.
"You know, I thought girls liked being called cute?" He said instead as he flipped his body away from her next hit. "Guess I was wrong." He yelped, scrambling for the entrance. She let out a yell for him to come back but he ignored this as his instincts told him to run away. The museum's smooth marble floors continued to work against him as his feet slipped all over the place. He should just wear the dang grippy shoes he knew this, but his stubbornness was legendary even to himself. He was just glad his cousins weren't here to mock or laugh at him for slipping all over the place.
Rabbit girl finally managed to kick his back when he'd slowed down, launching him forward into the walls with a yowl that quickly turned triumphant as he was able to push himself off the wall with a loud grunt to jump to the other side, using his claws to stick to the walls before using them to launch himself off it like a springboard. The bunny girl chased him down all through the museum as he kept launching himself from one wall to the other.
It was when he was passing by a vase that inspiration hit and he grabbed the vase as he slid past it like an ice skater. He threw it at bunny girl who gave a small gasp and caught the vase. He growled and threw another vase. This time he noticed how bunny girl didn't hit those and instead caught them, placing them gently on the floor before resuming her attack on him. This gave Eclipse an idea on how to battle her as he kept throwing art around, making her chase after them. She cared about the art while he just wanted to make a clean getaway.
Which, where was Yuto?
Eclipse kept up his momentum towards the main entrance until finally, finally the entrance was just a head of him and instead of waiting, he launched himself into the air, forming a Chaos Sphere larger than he had done and touched the nightmarish marble floors. The floor, front entrance and halfway up the wall to the ceiling turned into a black ash that crumbled when the wind from outside touched it.
"Finally!" He cheered as he landed on his feet, in a crouch. He could fight better out here.
"You took your time playing with bunny girl." Eclipse turned to look at Blackout who was standing with his hands in his pockets and a lollipop in his mouth.
"WHERE WERE YOU!" Eclipse shouted at his cousin brother.
"You had everything under control." Blackout shrugged. "If you didn't I would have come in sooner."
"I hate you!" Eclipse groaned. "I hate fighting girls."
"Here comes bunny girl." Blackout warned. Eclipse growled, seeing the bunny girl glaring at him from inside the museum. "She looks mad."
"Yeah I just threw everything at her that looked like art. I can imagine how screwed I am." Eclipse sighed.
"Wanna go help Sunfire?" Blackout offered him a way out.
"Please." Blackout grabbed his shoulder as bunny girl launched herself at them, murder in her eyes. They were gone in the next second, so they didn't hear the loud shouting or cursing of the enraged bunny girl, aka Mirko.
~Egress' POV~
Egress' job had gone off without a hitch. She had portaled to the security office, knocked out the guards and then portaled to the jewelry store's vault. It was so easy to hack into as it was an old school vault. The code had been in the supervisors office written on a post-it note. How lazy, but fortunate for her.
Her bag was quickly filled with necklaces, earrings, bracelets, brooches, and diamonds. Her inner squirrel was happy at the large haul, but she was on a personal mission to find a specific present for her cousin sisters birthday, none of these had the proper birthstone she was looking for. Although they were all so pretty and shiny here, maybe she would just keep some of these for herself.
"Diamonds are a girls best friend." Egress murmured softly as she finished gathering the jewels. She then created a portal and left the first jewelry store. The second went as smoothly as the first store allowing her to finish gathering the pretty jewels quickly. She then made a portal to the meet up location where Sunfire should have been waiting.
Egress landed on the rooftop in downtown Mustafu to hear the loud screams and shouting of many panicked people. Egress looked to the side to see Sunfire standing dark against the bright lights from down below. Egress skipped over to her cousin and looked down to see zombies running after people and just barely missing them.
"You finished early." Sunfire commented. "The boys haven't shown up yet."
"You know me, I'm efficient. Plus, you left those two boys together, chances are they're messing around."
"I told you whoever ended up with Blackout would take longer." Sunfire snorted. Egress shrugged as she watched the civilians down below run. She frowned as a thought came to her.
"It's only been ten minutes, how is this street not completely emptied out yet?" Sunfire shrugged.
"I keep having 'heroes' show up and get overwhelmed by the 'zombies' before I have 'soldiers' arrive to beat them. I'm gonna change it up and have some low-level villains come in next."
"Think any heroes are going to come through?" Egress asked. "Surprised none have come yet."
Sunfire sighed. "Why Egress? Why did you have to jinx this?"
"I'm sorry?" Egress stated in confusion.
"Look around, a hero should be showing up soon." Egress did glance all around, even straight up but didn't see anything. At least not at first. The third look around had Egress seeing a flash of gold and red before she felt herself being pulled back by Sunfire as a man with red wings landed where they'd stood. "Gotta be quicker than that little portal brain." Sunfire murmured by her ears before straightening up. "Good to see you again birdy. Ready for Round 2?"
"You're not getting away this time." He stated firmly. Blackout and Eclipse formed from the shadows. She caught Eclipse's intake of air as he realized he was standing in front of a Top 10 hero. Sunfire sighed and stepped back.
"As much fun as it would be to finish our fight, I promised my clansmen he could fight against a Pro Hero if we ran across one tonight." Eclipse's tail straightened up as he lowered himself into a deep crouch.
"Hello birdy." He purred. "Lets see if we can make some chicken nuggets out of you." Egress formed a portal behind Hawks as Eclipse pounced at the hero, claws outstretched. Hawks dodged the pounce, but Eclipse merely jumped off the roof behind Hawks and jumped through the portal. He landed on top of Hawks from above, using his claws to latch onto the hero who was flapping his wings before pulling out a longer feather like it was a sword. Blackout formed a shadow sword that he used to block Hawks own feather sword when he tried to hit Eclipse. Eclipse let go of Hawks to tag team with his cousins. Together they all fought against Hawks while Sunfire watched them.
Egress kept up her usage of portals until she felt the tips of her fingers tingling. She jumped back, towards Sunfire's side and murmured, "I'm bored." Sunfire understood and darted forward. Blackout and Eclipse backed off as Sunfire's hands lit up and a powerful blast of light went off. The surrounding area lit up like the sun had just arrived. A second later it was gone but Hawks was sent through a portal thanks to Egress. She had him land on a beach and closed the portal while Sunfire shook her hands out.
"That was fun. Ready for Phase 2 guys?" Egress felt excitement and adrenaline flood her systems as she and her cousins jumped through another portal, leaving downtown Mustafu behind.
"Go ahead guys. I got any heroes who come our way occupied." Sunfire promised. Egress cackled as she jumped through a portal with Eclipse. Blackout melted into the shadows to begin his own version of 'fun'.
~Blackout's POV~
Blackout appeared in an empty warehouse about ten minutes from the central area of Mustafu. This was where Shina had moved his animatronics that he and Kana had built over the last year as no one would really question what these were here. They valued privacy here, unlike in America or anywhere else where someone would have broken into the warehouse if they saw no one ever came in.
An evil smile spread across his face as he called out, "FNAF Protocol 1 Breach! Activate!" With a whine of mechanical fans and clinking metal, the robots inspired by the Five Nights at Freddy games came to life. Their eyes shone a red light that had glee running through Yuto. He'd waited two years to say those words. The robots all came towards him making him start running as they followed him to where the civilians were. They wouldn't hurt anyone due to the extra programming he, Kana and Yoshi had put in but Blackout knew they'd cause unnecessary issues for the heroes, especially when civilians got pulled into the 'safety compartment' in the robots chest.
Blackout led the army of robots to a civilian populated area where people screamed and ran when the first few humans were 'killed'. He melted into shadow when heroes arrived to take care of the robots. He had another mission besides the robots and it involved large amounts of Kool aid in the water supplies.
He loved pranking people.
~Eclipse's POV~
The sound system for the area whined in slight feedback as Eclipse hacked into the system to project his voice throughout the entire block. He'd prefer a larger area, but he knew the audience he was hoping to reach would hear him fine. Eclipse hopped on top of a low-level wall and cleared his throat before he spoke.
"My fellow cats, aren't you tired of being kicked around by the humans? Being called 'trash', 'stupid cat', or 'demons' isn't fun. Neither is getting squirted by water and being told no repeatedly by peasants who should be worshipping us. Well, no more my furry friends! Tonight we take revenge. Tonight, the city is your litter box!" The large number of cats yowling and crying out let him know that his target audience had heard him and were going to come to his aide.
The sheer number of furry bodies that jumped over the neighborhood walls and bled into the cities streets made him proud as they started to attack humans with their claws and fangs. It was sheer pandemonium as people cried out while the cats did as they pleased. Not like they did any different but now they weren't taking no for an answer or trying to appease the humans.
"Nice speech." Egress' voice called down at him. Eclipse looked up to see Egress balancing on a light pole while Blackout was half formed from a building's shadows.
"Knew you had it in you." He called to Eclipse.
"I missed this." Eclipse sighed. A cat came running over to him and started to meow. He listened intently before nodding. "Heroes incoming."
"Finally!" Egress sighed. "Remember, if they get too much, we fall back."
"I laid traps all along the buildings and sidewalks." Blackout stated. "We'll be fine."
"Let's go find Sunfire." Egress ordered. "I'd feel better if she was in our sights."
"You worry too much." Eclipse spoke before he was suddenly flying. Egress and Blackout blinked in shock as the #1 Hero, All Might, held Eclipse by the scruff of his neck, halfway down the street. "I retract my statement!" He shouted.
"Villains! Tonight, you have gone too far." All Might spoke.
"If we got you here than I think we haven't gone far enough yet." Egress called. "What are you going to do old man? You got your butt kicked earlier today by a spoiled man-child."
"Ha!" Eclipse snorted as All Might tensed.
"How do you know that?"
"Do you watch the news at all?" Eclipse asked before Blackout grabbed his leg and yanked him down. All Might blinked in shock but tightened his hand on Eclipse briefly only to drop him when a group of cats jumped on All Might, yowling at him to release their friend. Eclipse smirked, falling into the shadows. Blackout grabbed Egress' ankle and yanked her down into shadow as well.
~Sunfire's POV~
Sunfire watched over her clansmen's chaos, feeling pride as robots, pranks and traps reigned over the civilians caught in the traps. She was amused when she saw cats running by. She walked through the chaos calmly, only stopping when a Hero came flying at her. Sunfire's illusion disappeared when Hawks tried to grab her.
"Wow, and I thought you were smarter than that." She spoke up from her hiding place, leaning against a car, petting a random cat in her lap.
"You almost blinded me again." He stated.
"Yeah, almost. That's gotta count for something right?" Sunfire grinned at him. He pulled out his feather swords.
"Just give up and we can call this a good night. I don't want to fight you."
"If you didn't want to fight me why do you have swords?" She asked tilting her head innocently.
"I doubt you'll give up easily." She nodded slowly, releasing the cat in her grasp.
"Alright you may have a good point about that. But what can I say? I'm known to be vexing." Sunfire stood up only to put her hands in her pockets. "It's just no fun to fight someone if you don't have any good banter going you know?"
"Woman after my own heart." He smiled before asking, "You seem smart and resourceful, why are you doing this attack? Does this have anything to do with the League of Villains?"
"Why would I be linked to that group?" Sunfire wondered. "I don't hurt kids. And I've been doing this kind of thing for years. Not sure why all of a sudden everyone thinks they're hot stuff."
"Then why are you acting up?" She couldn't help the slightly lecherous grin as she made a show of looking Hawks up and down.
"Maybe I like the view?"
"While I'm flattered, criminals don't do anything for me." Hawks stated.
"Oh honey, I'm just admiring the suit. Love the Hero Commission detailing. And on the subject of all this," She spread her arms to encase the chaos that was still going on. "Its fun." She shrugged. "Haven't you ever played a prank on someone before?"
"This isn't fun for those caught in the panic." Sunfire nodded sagely.
"Ah yes, but they do have the ability to get out of the way don't they? I mean if they can't, then what's the point of calling ourselves 'higher mammals'?" Hawks glared at her. "Relax, like I said, I don't hurt kids."
'I hate to interrupt whatever conversation you guys are having, but we got more heroes incoming.' Egress voice chimed in her ear. Sunfire gave a bow.
"While I would love to continue this conversation and inevitably fight you Hawks, I'm going to have to call a raincheck."
"Your not going anywhere." He attacked in a flurry of red and gold making Sunfire meet his hits with two poles of light. She shoved him backwards with a whip of light before huffing.
"Bailout guys. I'll join you at base camp." Three affirming grunts came before she switched off her mic to focus on Hawks. "Well sir, you now have my full attention."
"Oh good, I was feeling like you weren't fully thinking of me." He replied sarcastically. Sunfire grinned as she shot small beams of light after Hawks who dodged them easily.
"Not used to feeling second best?" She asked as she dodged a swipe of the feather swords that had been aiming at her neck.
"Please, I'm the only one anyone's ever thinking of when they're with me." She sidestepped his follow up strikes before whacking his wings making him hiss and turn to her smirking face.
"Sorry should I have aimed for your head instead?" Their banter continued for a few more minutes until Sunfire caught sight of a woman in a white leotard and rabbit ears coming at them. She took the hit Hawks sent her way, allowing her body to fall back to the edge of the alleyway entrance.
"This fight is getting too complex." She stated. "Think I'll head out now."
"Oh no you don't." She grinned, holding out her hands as they lit up. Hawks flinched backwards and covered his face. Sunfire didn't make another flash bomb, instead she went invisible and snuck away down an opposite alleyway.
'Sunfire? You still there?' Egress' voice called into her mic. Sunfire ducked down another alleyway before she answered.
"Thought I told you three to head back to base."
"We are but we got worried. You done playing with chicken boy?" Sunfire rolled her eyes at the nickname.
"Yes. I'm heading back now."
"Good. Be careful, we ran into All Might earlier." Sunfire didn't get a chance to comment as she was knocked down the alleyway and back into the crowded streets of Mustafu. The cause of her being knocked into the light again was due to a new Hero. One she honestly hadn't thought of joining this fight.
The ninja hero, Edgeshot.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me." She complained. "I was leaving man!"
"Not until you pay for what you have done." Sunfire seemed to think about it before she chuckled.
"I regret nothing." Edgeshot was a different opponent, he didn't waste words in fighting so she wasn't able to banter. Not like she minded, her banter was usually for heroes she liked.
Edgeshot was slippery, it was almost like fighting against Yuto. Except he didn't hide in shadows. She was able to evade him until he got smart to her tactics and then she took a few hits that hurt. She responded with using her light whip to try and catch the slippery Hero but to no avail. Shina was completely done with fighting Edgeshot after three minutes of hits. Her frustration peaked when she landed on her side from the latest hit.
"Okay!" She called out as she got up again, holding her chest. "Can we please limit the amount of hits to the chest? You don't see me going for your nether regions pal." Edgeshot hesitated but he spoke clearly.
"I apologize but it is my mission to take you down." Sunfire grumbled under her breath.
"Yeah I understand, but dude, quit touching my boobs." He faltered as Sunfire continued to complain/buy herself time to recharge another flash bomb. "What is it with guys not understanding that this general area," she indicated her chest, "is off limits? You wanna know why female villains attack harder? Because we're tired of being hit here. I mean you don't see us taking cheap shots do you?" He blinked no doubt trying to think of a response. Sunfire took this chance to let a flash bomb off, blinding everyone in the vicinity as she quickly got away.
She chose to stay invisible as she snuck through downtown, avoiding the heroes who were now pouring through the streets. It wasn't a good place for villains or vigilantes to be right now that was for sure.
Thankfully the alleyways through Mustafu were clear of civilians so making her way back to her motorcycle was easy and uncomplicated. Shina sighed as she clicked her helmet on and revved the engine. Tonight had been a long and painful one. She was ready to count the loot the kids had managed to gather and see the extent of damage they'd done in the morning.
Shina drove out of the concrete parking garage, unaware that eyes were on her the entire time, silently assessing and wondering.
GM NASAI: I often wonder if boob or butt touching is ever an issue for villains and heroes when fighting. Do they have an unspoken rule against hitting a 'no-no' area? I mean I know they're professionals and such but, things happen ya know?
On another note, I hope you liked the pranking spree! And because I'm a nerd, Happy Star Wars week! May the force be with you all! :)
