Chapter Twenty- Seven

~James POV~

The mess after the LOV invaded the camping trip was just that, a mess. The media jumped all over the train wreck that left half of the UA students hospitalized and two Pro Heroes out of commission. From what James had guessed, Shigaraki's plan had been a success. People everywhere were questioning how effective the heroes were if they couldn't even keep a bunch of students safe from villains. Bakugou and Kana's capture was aired 24/7 with multiple outlets discussing what the heroes next moves were against a 'highly intelligent group of villains that had banded together and were now giving the pros a run for their money'. Of course, talk was the most effective weapon among the civilians and while many of them voiced their concerns especially after the initial press conference that detailed what had 'gone wrong', James had been told by Shina that most likely Shigaraki was going to lay low for a while, while he tried to 'corrupt' Bakugou and Kana.

"You know he's never going to be able to corrupt Bakugou right?" James stated while he and Shina watched the rerun of the initial conference and going into updates live. Shina sighed from her chair. She had been massaging her head and working on her meditative breathing since she'd been called and informed by Principle Nezu that Kana had been kidnapped. He'd heard her on the phone with Shigaraki after that and it had scared him how calm she'd been when threatening him about not hurting Kana. "Shina?"

"I know." Shina groaned finally as she sighed and leaned forward, looking at him with a dull expression. "I told Shigaraki this and I don't even know Bakugou! From all the behavioral information you guys have given I figured he would have been able to tell as well. Guess the firepower potential was just too great for him."

"How are they going to spin this?" James asked thinking about the implications of their involvement with the League if Shigaraki pointed it out that Kana was working undercover. Bakugou wouldn't keep that quiet and their involvement would be in jeopardy.

"Shigaraki's smart enough to realize what will happen if Kana's exposed. I made sue to remind him of that fact when I called." Shina scowled before she smoothed out her face and went back to rubbing her forehead. "Shigaraki may not have intended on Kana being kidnapped but like I always said, 'make the plan, follow the plan-'"

"'Expect the plan to go off the rails and throw away the plan'." Yuto finished as he came into the room. James frowned at his little brother. Yuto hadn't been very alert since Kana had been taken. Shina had made sure he was relaxed and helped to ground him when he'd had another anxiety attack after they' gotten back from the hospital. He'd been lying down in his room since then.

"Exactly." Shina blew out a breath as she sat upright. "I don't doubt the heroes are scrambling to find a way to get them back. We can count on that. What we can't count on is Kana not getting smart with Shigaraki or the other villains and possibly getting herself into hot water."

"Eh, she'll be fine." James shrugged.

"I'm surprised you aren't more upset about Kana's 'kidnapping'." Shina stated. James smiled at her innocently. "You're looking at this as a vacation aren't you?"

"Would it be bad of me if I did?" James asked. Yuto snorted.

"I suppose I should have expected this." Shina responded before she raised an eyebrow at James. "You did try and sell her off to a middle eastern prince last year." James stiffened. Yuto's grin big enough for James to know how in trouble he was if Shina wasn't telling him off for participating as well.

"I- I uh…"

"Claude told me about it." Shina said evenly. Dang nosy butler! "Which is why your computers were put into the 'glitch' mode every time you guys get on those dark net websites."

"THAT WAS YOU?!" James burst out as Yuto started cackling. James threw a pillow and hit Yuto in the face who didn't pause his laughter. Shina smirked.

"Eh hem." All three looked to the entrance to see Claude's tall figure. Looking as pristine as ever in his suit and silver hair, that traitor! "Madam, there is a call for you. Someone named Reginald? Sounds like a young man." James slouched back down.

"Okay." Shina got up. James saw her confusion but dismissed it as he went back to watching the TV. Yuto had calmed down by this point and simply watched with him. His phone chimed making him pull it out to see a text chain with the rest of the 1A class talking. Well those who were conscious anyway.

Since it was summer break, the rest of the students who had been deemed safe and unharmed had been told to go home. Of course, they did encourage the students' parents and guardians to keep on guard just in case. James had learned that some of his classmates parents did indeed want to keep their children locked up but his classmates were able to calm them down. Shina had been different in her approach. She'd told them to be careful of everyone in public as there were more villains coming out of the woodwork that were inspired by the LOV and wanted to also be big timers or were just taking advantage of the chaos left by the LOV.

Momo and Midoriya were the only two still in the hospital right now. Midoriya hadn't woken up as of yet but there were some plans being made to check on Momo. James frowned at his phone, unseeing. The friendship with Momo Yaoyorozu was difficult, more so than he'd intended for it to be. Mainly because he hadn't intended on making any friends, only rivals to test his skills against them. And yet, she and Mina had wormed their way into his good graces. Mina was fine and had been safe which he'd thanked Bingus and the other Cat gods for, but Momo had actually been on the battlefield. She'd been injured fighting against the Nomu. When he'd found out he'd been frozen and by the time he'd come out of it, she'd already been taken to the hospital.

He didn't want to just text and ask how she was doing, that seemed lame. Plus he wanted to see for himself if she was okay. James got up off the couch.

"Where you going?" Yuto asked.

"Hospital." James stated simply.

"I'm coming with you." Yuto yelped.

"Suit yourself." James said as he walked down the hallway to the front hall. "Claude, I need to go to the hospital to check on a friend." Claude's Quirk was Super hearing. No matter where he was on the property he would always hear them. It's what made him a 'good butler', as he'd always said.

"Very well sir, I shall drive you." Claude said, coming in from the direction of the study. "I have informed Shina as well." James nodded wondering what Shina was doing before he grabbed his shoes and slipped them on.

The drive to the hospital where Momo was took about 45 mins. Claude dropped Yuto and James at the front entrance and informed them he would be waiting in front when they wanted to leave. He simply asked that they text him when they were ready.

"I should see if Midoriya is awake yet." Yuto said idly as they walked into the hospital.

"Check your phone, you're in the group text." James stated. "He's still asleep."

"Oh, you know I don't really check my phone all that often." Yuto yawned. James scoffed at his brother as he tried to figure out where to go. He didn't exactly know where Momo was but he knew she was here.

"Good morning, can I help you?" The receptionist asked when he approached the main desk.

"I'm here to see Yaoyorozu Momo? I'm a friend of hers." James responded politely. The receptionist nodded and took a look at her computer.

"She is on the second floor, room 256D." She handed Yuto and James a sticker with the kanji for 'guest' written on it. "Make sure you have these on you at all times."

"Thank you!" Yuto chirped. James nodded and followed Yuto to the elevators. Yuto pulled out his phone and started fiddling with it while they rode upstairs. A short walk later and both boys were standing outside Momo's room. James raised his hand to knock but stopped as his ears picked up the sound of a man talking with Momo.

"You gonna knock or not dude?" Yuto asked him.

"Shh." James hissed lowly as he tried to overhear what was being said. "All Might's in there." He stated.

"Eh?" James ignored Yuto's surprised sound as he focused on what was being said. His ears twitched as Momo's voice came clearly. With the focus he was paying to Momo's words he also hear the elevator open down the hall and the familiar voice of Kirishima. Just what he needed.

"Momo was smart." James murmured after he caught her admitting to planting a tracker on the nomu she'd run into. "Oh, Kirishima and Shoto are coming."

"Hey guys!" Kirishima's voice called making James roll his eyes.

"Shh!" James hissed. Besides All Might, James would just make out another voice he didn't recognize. It sounded professional. Possibly a policeman from the questions they were asking.

"What's going on with him?" Shoto's voice asked.

"He's trying to eavesdrop." Yuto stated. "Momo's talking with All Might." James glared at the three boys.

"Shh!" James turned back to eavesdropping.

"Maybe he's checking on her?" Shoto asked.

"Momo put a tracker on the Nomu before she passed out." James growled out. "She just gave the machine to All Might and the cop in the room." He eased up on his overhearing as a sharp snap sounded from Kirishima. "Hey quiet down, my ears are sensitive."

"She put a tracker on the Nomu?" Kirishima stated, ignoring James request. James huffed as he ignored Kirishima to listen in just in case more information was coming.

"I can't hear anything else. Just praising for her quick thinking." James announced.

"You didn't answer my question though." Kirishima stated. James frowned at him.

"How could I? I didn't plant the tracker now did I? We'd have to ask Momo about it when we get in there." James ears caught the sound of footsteps coming closer. "Crap hide!" He hissed. "They're coming!" Yuto didn't hesitate as he shoved Shoto and Kirishima into the empty room beside Momo's. Yuto grabbed James tail and practically tossed him in the room before he joined them, silently shutting the door behind him.

The four boys were quiet as they heard footsteps walk past the door outside. James breathed a sigh before he smacked Yuto's shoulder.

"Don't touch my tail." James grumbled.

"Sorry, you were just standing there." Yuto stated. James ignored that half-baked apology as Kirishima asked again,

"Momo put a tracker on the Nomu. We should ask her for a clone of that device."

"Why?" James asked. "I'm not going after a Nomu."

"The Nomu could lead us to Bakugou." Kirishima stated. "We have to get that device."

"What makes you think these villains would keep Nomu's in the same location as them?" Yuto asked.

"Why wouldn't they?" Shoto asked. "It seems logical to keep them near to the base. But we can't very well go asking Yaoyorozu to make a clone."

"Dude, why not?"

"Well because if the Pros have it then they'll be able to use it to find Bakugou." Yuto stated. "I don't know about you but I'm not at a Pros level yet. We can't take on a Nomu. And what if there are more Nomu? What then?" Kirishima growled.

"Aren't you two worried about Kana?"

"Of course." Yuto stated.

"I mean, kinda?" James tapped his chin. "Honestly I'm more worried about the villains who took her. Kana can be pretty annoying when she wants to be. And it's not like she's alone, she has Bakugou. Between the two of them I'm sure they can come up with a plan to either annoy the kidnappers into releasing them or getting out of the situation they're in."

"What if they're locked up in a cell? What if they're torturing them?" Kirishima practically yelled. James could see he was getting annoyed with him and the lack of response to charging blindly into the chaos of going up against the League of Villains.

"Why would they go through that much trouble to torture her?" James asked reasonably. "I'm sorry Kirishima but we should let the Pros handle this one. I know they're our classmates and friends, well sister in Kana's case, but what if we interfere and the villains escape again?"

"So you want to just sit by and do nothing?" Kirishima yelled. James bared his teeth.

"I'm not doing nothing you stupid pile of rocks. I'm making sure my friends don't get themselves killed by running headfirst into a situation that the Pros can handle easily. If we go charging headfirst into this then what's to stop one of us from actually dying next time? Excuse me if I don't feel guilty for sitting on the sidelines like you did." James growled trying to keep his claws from extending as he clenched his fists. Kirishima and he glared at each other.

"I thought you of all people would understand." Kirishima stated coldly. "She's your sister. How can you be such a coward?" James snarled in anger and prepared to launch himself at Kirishima, but before he could, ice quickly formed and locked his feet in place.

"Shoto!" James growled, turning angry eyes on his friend.

"Enough." Shoto warned, frowning at him. "This is still a hospital, not a battle ground. We can't afford to go fighting each other. Not at a time like this."

"But-" Kirishima started.

"I get what you're saying Kirishima." Yuto piped up for the first time. "You want to get our friends back. But you have to admit that James has a point. The Pros can and will get them back. We're still just students, we don't even have our Provisional Licenses. What good is interfering if we put our future in jeopardy?" While Shoto hadn't voiced his opinion on the matter James at least knew that Yuto would back him up on this. It was just up to Momo if she wanted to help aide this disaster in the making.

"I'm asking Yaoyorozu for a clone of that tracking device." Kirishima stated firmly. "I want them back. I can't be the only one."

"What are we going to put a vote to this with the rest of the class?" James snarked. When no one replied he shook his head. "If you're going to do that then we need to talk about it with them."

"I'll text everyone to meet about it." Yuto stated, pulling out his phone. James honestly wasn't sure what the heck kind of idea this was, but he supposed arguing with Kirishima about it wasn't helping anything. James leaned back, relaxing his muscles.

"I came to visit Momo." James looked at Shoto. "Can I go see her now?" Shoto nodded and the ice started to melt from the heat he put off. James didn't look at anyone as he left the room for next door. He knocked softly despite the anger still swirling in him at Kirishima.

"Come in." Momo called. James entered the room with a forced smile. "Hi James."

"Heard you were still stuck in here. Came to see how you were doing."

"The doctors think I should be okay to leave tomorrow. They want to keep me one more night just in case." Momo stated. James nodded.

"That's good. I know you were up against a Nomu. I'm glad you weren't hurt worse." James avoided looking in Momo's eyes as she seemed to sense his tension.

"Are you okay James? You look," She paused long enough to try and find the right word. "Agitated."

"I'm fine." James stated.

"Forgive me for overstepping here James," Momo spoke softly but with clear concern. "But you don't look fine. Did something happen? Is it Kana?" That did it.

"I uh, I overheard you talking with All Might and the cops a while ago." He said, no regret for overhearing in his voice. "I know you gave them the tracking device." Momo's face fell.

"I would have told you about it but I didn't want to do so over the phone." James held up a hand.

"It's okay Momo. I'm not mad about that." James walked over and took a seat beside her. "Shoto and Kirishima came up on Yuto and I while we were eavesdropping. I told them about the tracking device and now Kirishima wants to run off and find the Nomu because he thinks Kana and Bakugou may be with the Nomu."

"Oh." Momo nodded in understanding. "I gave the device to All Might and the detective when they were here already. Hopefully they'll be able to find them before too long."

"Yeah that's good." James nodded. "But uh, Kirishima is going to ask you to make another one. He wants to find Bakugou and Kana before the heroes do."

"But they're Pro heroes, he's not even licensed. What could he possibly hope to do when he does find the villains? There were more of them and they were experienced if they managed to take out Pixie Bob and Ragdoll." Momo stated. "He can't very well go off on his… own…" James saw the look in her eyes and knew she understood.

"He's going to ask the rest of the class to go with him on this suicide mission." James confirmed. "Yuto called a meeting. I told him it's stupid but he's running on emotions right now. Guilty ones."

"You don't blame anyone for Bakugou and Kana being kidnapped do you?" Momo asked. James shook his head. The only one he held responsible was the magician villain. He really needed to ask Shina what their new villain friends names were.

"No." Momo nodded. "Midoriya's not awake yet but who knows who else may or may not want to go with Kirishima to bring our friends back. At the most, we may be able to knock him unconscious until this is over but," James felt his mouth twist into a smile. "That's going to result in a lot of head injuries."

"That's not humorous James." Momo chastised him but he caught the small smile on her face as well. The two smiled for a little longer before James felt his face turn serious.

"If Kirishima asks, and if he manages to get volunteers, will you make the cloned tracking device?" James watched as Momo thought about it for a couple minutes. She was silent for so long that he was ready to repeat the question again just in case she hadn't heard when Momo finally answered.

"I don't know."

~Shina's POV~

Shina was lounging in the den when James and Yuto walked in later that night. James looked irritated while Yuto was quiet and his eyes looked sad.

"What's wrong?" Shina asked, putting away her book and sitting up. James immediately fell over onto the couch and just sat/laid there, looking at the TV that Shina had left on to replay the same news from this morning. Yuto sat down opposite James but he answered Shina.

"We had a meeting with our classmates. Turns out Yao Momo put a tracker on the Nomu that the League brought with them." Shina blinked at that. She hadn't known a Nomu had gone. She supposed she should be glad that none of the students had died but she would need to talk with Shigaraki about his usage for those things.

"And?" Shina asked when Yuto hadn't continued.

"Kirishima wants to go and get Bakugou and Kana from the League by tracking the Nomu." James stated. Shina should have expected that one of the students would be that dumb to try and follow a Nomu back to their handler.

"They won't find them in that warehouse." Shina stated. "Shigaraki keeps the Nomu separate from the bar. At the most, all the Heroes would be able to find is the rest of the Nomu. Which honestly, I'm not going to lose sleep over if they manage to destroy them."

"You know where the warehouse is?" Yuto asked in surprise. Shina nodded.

"Come on Yuto, I thought you were smart." Shina said, leaning back. "I know where most of the League's hideouts are. Mainly because I helped create them but that's beside the point. You were saying this was a class meeting, what did your class decide to do? Go along and find Bakugou and Kana?"

"No." James said. "I talked sense into them. Thankfully there were some who were already mature about their thinking on this matter." Shina snorted.

"So who wants to go and hunt the villains?"

"So far it's just Kirishima and Shoto." James answered. Shina thought about those names.

"Kirishima, red rocky that James doesn't like and Shoto…. Todoroki? Endeavors kid right?" Yuto and James both nodded. Shina nodded once before a thought occurred to her. "Hang on, you said Yao Momo put a tracker on the Nomu, did she by any chance give the device to the Pros?"

"Yes." James frowned at her. "I thought you figured that after that comment about destroying them?"

"I didn't realize that your friend had given the tracking device to the teachers yet. I thought she was holding onto it to use for your classes misplaced need to endanger yourselves." Shina stated.

"So, you gonna tell Shigaraki?" Yuto asked. Shina opened her mouth to agree but, a thought popped into her head. The thought to simply not tell him about this.

"I mean…" Shina started slowly before a small mischievous smile worked it's way onto her face. James was still staring straight ahead so only Yuto saw Shina's smile before she completely went blank faced. "I could tell him James friend Momo was the one who brought the League down by sticking a tracker on the Nomu. He's going to move the Nomu warehouse and also possibly switch to a new location." Shina sighed. "It's a lot of moving but I suppose for villains sake, it must be done." Shina pulled her phone out and clicked it on. She hadn't managed to call Shigaraki before her phone was out of her hand. Yuto had snatched her phone with a shadow spear.

"James destroy!" Yuto ordered. James caught her phone and created a Chaos Sphere before her phone was nothing but black ash.

"You could have just hidden it!" Shina stated, deadpan.

"We can't take any chances." James stated. His phone chimed at the same time as Yutos phone did. Yuto pulled it out and read what Shina was assuming was a text while she mentally grumbled about having to buy a new phone. She was just glad her contacts and everything were backed up on her servers. "Midoriya's awake."

"We should go. No doubt Kirishima is going to start with his soapboxing once they let Midoriya in on the hostages."

"You mind if we head out again?" James asked Shina. Shina shook her head.

"No go ahead. Claude can drive you." Both boys nodded before they headed out. Shina meanwhile sat thinking as she watched the sun fall into sunset. Not telling Shigaraki about some of the info regarding the Pros and their personal histories was already pushing the boundaries of her contract. If she didn't tell him about this then who knows what he would do. There were more Pros out and about now because of the kidnappings though. She'd have to be careful driving. While she could simply call from the house phone, that wasn't very wise, especially if they managed to trace the phone calls.

Shina sighed. Guess she had to go in person then. Shina got up and went to the garage where a spare outfit and mask were hidden. She quickly changed before she hopped onto her bike and revved the engine. She tore out of the garage and down the driveway towards the road, heading for the city. If she took a few detours that was entirely because she was trying to avoid some of the Pros that were patrolling the area and not looking for anyone in particular.

Eventually Shina was forced to get off her bike as she was in the area she needed to be. She hid her bike before she took off on foot on top of the buildings, making a zigzagging pattern to head to the part of the city where the bar was. She didn't make it halfway before she caught the sound of whistling. Shina turned her head in time to see small dark objects heading right for her. Shina dodged at the last second.

When she took in the projectiles embedded in the rooftop Shina looked up at the familiar Hero flying above her. A smile graced her face, not that he could see, as Shina waved.

"Hello Hawks, nice night to fly isn't it?"

"How do I always run into you?" He asked as he landed a few feet in front of her. Shina shrugged.

"Just lucky I guess?" He scoffed.

"Wanna tell me what job your doing? Or should I assume you've already done your job?" He looked around. "Not many high-end places around here to shop."

"You wound me bird boy." Shina held a hand to her chest. "I was just on a simple stroll through the city when you accosted me. If anything, holding up a lady is a crime."

"You gonna claim you're innocent? Really?" Shina shrugged.

"You've never caught me with jewels or money. You've certainly never caught me robbing any banks. I mean sure I may have pulled a few pranks in the beginning of our relationship but come on." Shina formed a light staff and leaned on it while tilting her head. "Despite my reputation, I'm clean as a whistle. For all you know I've turned a new leaf."

"And dressing up as a Villain is what?" He asked moving closer. Shina saw him moving closer and knew he had some feathers moving into place behind her, but she didn't move. If anything, she smiled bigger. "A habit?"

"I've heard 'cosplaying' is something people do." Shina said. "We can just say I'm dressing up as a fictional hero or villain." He gave her a dull look.

"That's thin."

"Kinda like the plan you're going with for trying to trap me in place by surrounding me with feathers?" Shina asked innocently.

"If you know what's good for you, you'll stand down. I don't want to have to hurt you." Shina chuckled at that.

"You've never managed to." Hawks smirked making Shina blink.

"I heard you didn't really make the last rooftop jump you tried to do." Shina gasped, making her light staff disappear as she straightened up.

"Mirko ratted me out?! That two faced Cadbury Easter bunny. I trusted her not to mention that." Shina growled. In a swirl of feathers went up around Hawks and Shina. Shina looked around the funnel she was caught in. "If I promise to behave from now on would you let me go? I am running late for a meeting."

"You're going to have to reschedule that meeting." Hawks stated seriously. Shina shrugged.

"I had a feeling I would need to." Shina formed a light whip and started to hit the feathers all around her, trying to make an exit from the funnel. Hawks formed his own feather sword and jumped at her. Shina dropped her light whip and formed a light sword that she used to block his swipe. She increased her heat and the brightness of her sword making his feather steam before he pulled back. Shina jumped back as well, watching him before she saw the feather sword. It wasn't just steaming now, it looked burned slightly. "You sure you want to burn through your pretty feathers? Would be a shame if you couldn't fly anymore."

"I'm not letting you get away this time." Shina nodded.

"Understood." She sent a wave of scattered light beams at Hawks who dodged them by jumping up into the air. Shina continued to throw light at him, making him keep his distance. Hawks used his feathers to try and distract her as well as catch her off guard while Shina kept him at a distance with her Scattershot. Shina was ashamed to say the minuscule movements in her peripherals did indeed distract her. Every time she caught a feather moving she instinctively turned her head to watch or burn it with a beam. Her distraction cost her as this gave Hawks the perfect time to hit Shina in the back. The feathers weren't that sharp, but they were blunt little object that seemed to take pleasure in making her imbalanced.

Shina hopped up onto the building's edge after the last wave of feathers. The feathers that hit her stayed stuck in the roof of the building until Hawks needed them again and then they swarmed up into the air and at Shina again. It was honestly a little unfair because her own internal light source was limited by the light she'd absorbed until now. Thankfully that was in no real danger of being empty. Another round of feathers had Shina twisting to the side, avoiding them but they turned and came at her again. Shina formed a light shield and used them to cover herself before she imploded the shield. The light burned through the feathers, making sure they were no longer useful to Hawks. Shina then sent a light beam at Hawks as he darted to and fro in the air. What he couldn't dodge he used his feather swords to defend against. Shina stopped with the Scattershots and turned her lights into a whip that she used to snake towards him. Hawks had an easier time dodging this but Shina could also retract it before making the whip go flying again.

Hawks apparently saw his opening as he started to spin as he dived at her. Shina withheld her whip at the last second before she turned it into a light shield. When Hawks flew past her Shina imploded the shield once again but he'd caught her around her middle. Shina grunted as she smacked Hawks in the face with an open palm.

"AH!" Hawks yelped as Shina let loose a small flash bomb. The damage was done though as Hawks grab sent Shina falling backwards off the building with a scream. Training with James meant she picked up a few things in terms of his ability to land and fight. Shina twisted her head and saw the dumpster a few feet to the side. Shina shot out a light whip and grabbed it before yanking it under her. Shina then twisted again and braced herself. A loud bang sounded as her body collided with the dumpster. Thankfully it wasn't empty, and she had the added cushion of the trash inside to help pad her fall when the dumpster lids broke under her. Shina groaned as she mentally assessed her body for injuries.

It didn't hurt so far so she reached out and grabbed the dumpster's edge but when she tried to pull herself free she felt the sharp pain in her ribs. Shina hissed in pain and pulled back, curling in on herself as her eyes watered. She hadn't felt a pop or any cracking when she'd landed so it wasn't broken. Most likely it was just bruised. How deeply though, she didn't know. One thing was for sure though, she wasn't getting out of here without help. Shina relaxed into the trash and waited.

A whistle came from above her. "You sure got lucky."

"I don't feel lucky you feathered birdbrain." Shina muttered as she lifted her head and glanced at Hawks floating above her.

"I'm surprised you didn't run off. What happen, you get stuck?"

"As a matter of fact yes." Shina replied drily. "My side hurts. I can't move." Hawks dropped down suddenly onto the edge of the dumpster. Shina flinched at the jerk the trash gave. The jerking and her own flinch resulted in her letting loose a whimper as her side was jostled.

"You feel anything break or pop?"

"No." Shina grit out. "May just be bruised. Won't be able to tell without further medical aide." Hawks hummed.

"Hawks!" A new voice called out. Hawks turned his head away from Shina.

"Yo, about time you guys got here."

"Did you catch her?" The voice asked, panting slightly. Shina was guessing these were his sidekicks. Yuto had told her a bit about them but not enough for her to really care about their names.

"In a manner of speaking." Hawks stated. "You two can go ahead and look out for the next villain. I've got her covered."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah." Hawks looked at her with a smile that she glared at. "She can't move. I'll wait until the ambulance comes with the police. I want to ask her some questions until then."

"Joy." Shina muttered sarcastically. "Can you at least get me out of the garbage?"

"I mean I would." Hawks stated sounding like he was enjoying this too much for Shina's taste. "But I'm no medical professional so I wouldn't feel right about lifting you unless I was sure I wouldn't make your side hurt more."

"Fine, but I'm not talking to you." Shina lifted her hand and mimed zipping her mouth shut and locking it with a key before 'dropping' it.

"You will eventually. Until then how about I do some talking?" Shina rolled her eyes before she relaxed further into the garbage to try and tune out Hawks way too cheerful rambling about his day. And to think getting arrested was all a part of her plan to avoid Shigaraki. This was probably one of her worst ones yet. She honestly prayed none of the kids made plans the way she did.

Shina mentally snorted at that. Who was she kidding? They were all doomed.
