Chapter Thirty-Four

~Kai's POV~

Kai didn't trust anyone easily. It took a great deal for him to be around the League of Villains. Not just because they were certified nutjobs, but because they were killers. In his experience, killers were some of the most conniving people he knew.

As he watched the League and the Nara clan mingle during their 'mandatory' training in the backyard, he couldn't help but assess them as they ran through the drills Shina had devised to test their strengths and weaknesses. Something Shigaraki had said was necessary as they needed to work together in battle. Which was ironic as Kai could see Shigaraki and Dabi didn't get along very well when they were in the same room. They always ended up sniping at each other with thinly veiled threats and insults. Shina only got involved when it looked like they would attack the furniture. Everyone else for the most part seemed to get along just fine.

"You good?" Kira murmured as she stood beside him. Kai grunted once. Kira glanced up at him. Despite them being twins, Kira was a whole head and a half shorter than him which he took great pleasure in lording over her. She hated him for it.

"I'm fine." He muttered. "Just want to get this over with."

"You know Shina wants to get this over with just as much as you do." Kira stated as she idly inspected her fingernails. "She's been working on her camouflage car whenever she's able to come back here. This is running into her precious time to try and fix that heap of junk." Kai snorted.

"I dare you to say that to her face."

"I'm not dumb." Kira stated as she scrunched her nose at him.

"Could have fooled me." Kai responded. Kira used her elbow to hit him in the gut. Considering the muscles he had it didn't phase him but he pretended it hurt with a wince. Kira's self-satisfied look made up for it. Catering to his sisters cheap shots more than made up for the ass kicking she would have attempted if he hadn't winced.

"Shut up idiot." The two stood side by side watching the League run through the exercise drills. Toga was quick and light on her feet but she wasn't very strong. Kira could no doubt help to provide strength training for her. Compress and Spinner were better at evading, they could do with some hand to hand training as it looked sloppy after a few minutes. Compress strategic thinking was higher than Spinners ability but that wasn't even a challenge from Kai's standpoint as he was pretty sure Yuto was smarter than the lizard. Mange had the strength the others didn't but not the speed. Twice wasn't very strong or smart but his Quirk more than made up for his failings. Dabi was harder for Kai to assess as he did the drills.

"I can't get a good read on him." Kai murmured to Kira in Russian.

"He's received training on his Quirk." Kira murmured to him after a beat. "His stance when he shoots his flames at his target are familiar to me but I can't remember where I saw it. He braces his body on his back leg to avoid falling backward when he does his more powerful shots. It could be natural but with that output, it's too controlled to be anything but practiced. Not to mention the way he lowers he center of gravity when he shifts his footing? That's training." Kai glanced at Kira. Her eyes were following Dabi's form as he continued his drills.

"Are you watching him that closely? Or do I need to prepare for a crush?" Kira whacked his arm.

"Shut up and watch him." Kira snapped. Kai did as she said and indeed, after watching a few more minutes he saw what Kira was talking about.

"There's no way you picked up on that sooner than I did." Kai growled. Kira smirked at him.

"Losing your edge there bumpkin." Kai didn't get a chance to retaliate before Shina called them over to her.

Kai was first to be run through the drill despite Kira's insistence to be first. He stuck his tongue at her before he got ready at the start line. Shina's hand fell and he took off. His breathing was easy and effortless as he jumped off the edge of the pit. He grabbed the spinning bar and held on. His body's weight caused his legs to swing forward. Kai waited until his legs swung backward before he increased his momentum forward again. He swung up onto the pole, Spider-Man style, before he leapt forward, grabbing onto the rope just as it came back down. He grabbed it just as the bar the rope was attached to swung forward into the air, taking him with it as it swung to the top of the construction.

The smug satisfaction as he let go of the rope and twisted his body to grab the ribbon on top of the construction was enough to have him wink at Shina and Kira who just rolled their eyes at his show. He twisted again, grabbing onto the bar as he slowed his descent enough to hop from one of the bars to another, allowing him to grab the final bar and then do an admittedly exaggerated twist and flip before he landed on the balls of his feet in his Spider-Man crouch again.

"And I didn't even have to use my Quirk. I win!" He stated.

"The hell you do!" Kira shouted at him. He indicated for her to give it a try to which she sneered at him before she took off, not even waiting for Shina to tell her to go. Kai knew Kira would get competitive with him, it was how she always got whenever they competed. He was honestly curious how she intended to make it across the pit, grab her ribbon and then make it to him without stopping as he did, and without injuring herself.

He really shouldn't have second guessed her. Kira was quick like a shadow as she danced on top of the constructs running full tilt to the ribbon. She didn't even pause as she grabbed the swinging ropes before she launched overhead and grabbed her ribbon before she fell down to the bottom of the pit.

"Was that it?" Twice asked. "Hah! Idiot didn't even complete the drill."

"Give her a second." Kai grumbled. On cue, Kira shot up into the air, flipping as she rolled on to the grass before she jumped up with her arms outspread. A grin on her face as she bowed.

"Beat you."

"You didn't even try and stop your descent." Kai argued.

"Of course not." Kira stated smugly. "A real pro would never." Kai rolled his eyes.

"Hey are we going to see Shina try this?" Twice asked beside them. "I hope she falls. She wouldn't!"

"I bet she slips." Toga stated.

"I'll take that bet bloody panda." Kai spoke up. Toga gave him a feral grin before they turned to watch Shina give a bow. She simply stepped off the edge and fell down.

"What a letdown!" Twice yelled. Shina's body lit up before, like a comet, she was speeding upwards to the top of the construction. She snagged the last ribbon, not even stopping as she zoomed straight at everyone.

"INCOMING! MOVE OUTTA THE WAY!"

"Duck!" Spinner yelled.

"Where?" Kira asked looking around. Kai slapped his head in a face palm before he simply took a step back as everyone besides Kira, Shigaraki and Dabi freaked out and got out of the way. Shina's light dissipated as she got closer. Kai heard Shina's feet sliding on the grass as the smell of burned grass met his nostrils making him cough in disgust. Kai watched as the light gathered at Shina's back before it seemed to arc away from her body like they were parachutes as she came to a final stop.

"Are those wings?" Kira asked. Kai squinted at the light. The more it dimmed the more he could see that yes, they were wings.

"Since when do you have wings?" Spinner asked. "That's cheating!"

"I don't have wings." Shina called out.

"Light constructs?" Kira asked as she went to try and examine the wings before Shina let them go entirely.

"Yeah." Shina looked like she was preening. "Been working on them just in case." Kai could see the constructs were made of light but he could also see through them. He attempted to look closer but that just hurt his eyes so he gave up.

"Case of what?" Mange asked.

"Zombies." Shina stated simply.

"What?" Mr. Compress asked making Kai snort. Shina would have a contingency plan for Zombies. What would be the chances of that ridiculous idea.

"Hey I know it's an irrational fear." Shina snapped as she let her 'wings' fade. "But it's my irrational fear and I have contingencies for it. Besides, it's not like I would use them. I'm scared of heights."

"Zombies and heights, an adequate fear milady." Compress nodded making Kai roll his eyes.

"If we're done with this training, I'm going back to my book." He stated.

"We're done." Shina stated. Kai didn't even wait as he promptly turned around and started to head back inside. If he showered quickly maybe he'd actually be able to beat the gamers to the controls for once.

The mental files Kai had on the League of Villains was constantly being updated as he observed them living here at the mansion. Over the past few weeks, he'd come to know that Shigaraki was more of the gamer type, just like Yoshi. However unlike Yoshi, Shigaraki seemed to like being up to date on world news by reading the newspaper that Claude left at the dining room table in the morning. Kai considered him the top contender for 'dangerous ally' due to this. In his experience gamers were usually unimpressive in looks but give them a console and a few minutes to learn their game's rules and guidelines and they would end up ruling the virtual world. Kai had seen Shigaraki, Yoshi and Spinner play their virtual games while he'd sat in the corner 'reading'. Shigaraki was always their leader during their co-op games. Highly intelligent, strategic and able to see their opponents next moves and predict them was a skill only the best held. Even though Shina called him a 'man-child', Kai doubted she really thought of their 'leader' as that. If she did, she wouldn't keep one eye on him whenever he called her to him. The only weakness Kai could discern in Shigaraki was the unhealthy awe he held for All for One.

The next in the rankings would be Shina. Though he considered her family, even he knew that could change in an instant. Nothing was ever set in stone. Kai knew all about her from the 9 months he'd lived with her in Russia. Although, it seemed her time after Russia had caused her to change. She wasn't quick to smile or laugh anymore. He could understand why though. No one really came out of torture unchanged. Intelligent, stubborn, quick to prank and dangerous when it came to never underestimating her opponents. Shina used something the others didn't, she used her social skills or 'flirting' to get what she wanted, whether that was with her own face or another's it was almost always lethal. Her weakness was her 'kids' which included Kana, James, Yuto and now also included Kai, Kira, Kaito and Yoshi.

Dabi was next in the hierarchy of the League. Despite always insulting Shigaraki he still listened to him for the most part. Shigaraki didn't seem to kick Dabi out because of Dabi's quirk and because Shina managed to always talk about Dabi's 'screening process' for finding new recruits. In truth, Kai didn't understand why Dabi was still around, but he guessed it was because Shina liked having the half-burned bacon around. She seemed to like his sarcasm for some reason. Kai didn't like Dabi for one reason, he didn't know who 'Dabi' was. Kai knew he was a male, Japanese, had a fire Quirk and was as sarcastic as Shina. But that was all (Kai knew the stitches were probably real but he wasn't so sure about the guys hair, he'd seen black smudges on the furniture after Dabi had sat there). Kai didn't like not knowing. He had Yoshi looking into him but even Yoshi was having difficulty finding anything on the man. It was like he'd spawned into being after a bad night of TV binging, alcohol and anger.

Compress was a showman with a flair for the dramatic. Not to mention he was smug like Kira. He didn't like Compress for that but it was also because he seemed to have Kira and Kana wrapped around his pinky. Those two idiots seemed to faun over the 'magician'. Shina thankfully wasn't that idiotic. Beyond that Compress didn't give a good showing of his strategic thinking or even physical prowess. His Quirk was basically his only strength. Weakness: Kai had to guess it was his new comrades and his own monologuing. Any villain obsessed with monologuing was doomed in Kai's opinion.

Judging Twice was almost as hard as judging Kana, meaning it really wasn't. Sure he flip flopped between his own opinions but he eventually got there after some detours, usually it took one of his comrades to keep him on point but for the most part he was okay with getting back on track himself. As long as his face was covered Twice kept his composure. Weakness: Kai noted how he never seemed to make a clone of himself. Compared to the split personality Kai was guessing Twice had issues with his own mentality.

Mange and Spinner were pretty easy to judge as they really didn't hide anything. It was child's play to figure them out. Mange was a woman with strength and Spinner was a teenage cosplay who seemed to have obsessed over Stain's ideologies. Kai supposed he should have given them some tips on how to hide their emotions better, but it was a waste as he doubted both would ever need to.

Everyone else in the League was easy to figure out, except one irritating blond idiot.

"Kai, can you help me find Yoshi?" Toga called from behind him. Kai's hackles rose as he realized that he was all alone with no one to get between that bloody blond and him.

"No." He answered not bothering to look away from his book.

"You're no fun." Instead of leaving to go find Yoshi, Toga fell backwards on the couch and tilted her head off the edge of the couch to watch the TV upside down. Toga Himeko was a thorn in his side. If she wasn't with Twice or Kira, she was annoying him about her 'love' for Izuku Midoriya. He'd already had to suffer through her whining twice today and it wasn't even noon yet. Speaking of which, she should be starting her next whining session in 3, 2…1. "I miss Izuku. I doubt he would ignore me." There it was.

"Hm." Kai hummed as he turned the page in his book. He really didn't want to listen to her moan about her 'love' again. It was kind of sad in his opinion how desperate she was for the poor broccoli. He wished someone would come in and take her attention off him. He didn't want to find a new place after he'd finally, finally been able to claim the living room for himself.

"I want to ask Izuku so many questions when I see him again. I wanna know all about him, so that I can become just like him." Kai resisted the urge to snort as he turned the page. Considering all her whining about 'love' he doubted she knew what love was. Crazy psycho that she was. He tuned out her incessant prattling about Izuku this and Izuku that before it started to turn to Ochaco and Tsuyu. From the way she talked, it was a bit hard to believe that she'd only met them all once.

As he said, crazy psycho.

"Kai!" The tone of Toga's voice caught his attention. "You smell good Kai. Like all the yummy blood rolled into one." Kai saw the pale fingers reaching for his book and knew what would happen. Toga would grab the book and shove her face in his space and would probably try to freak him out with her talk of blood and killing. Thing is, that kind of talk didn't work for him. He wasn't squeamish, he couldn't afford to be in his profession. So instead of allowing Toga to continue her 'teasing', Kai snapped his book shut and grabbed her wrist in a firm hold. He pulled Toga forward, onto his lap. He saw her eyes widen but he kept cool as he flipped his hold to press her arm against her back while he lightly pressed his kunai against her neck, just light enough to let her know it was there.

"Himeko." He admonished. "If you want to talk about your 'crush' on Izuku, do it. If you want to whine about wanting to see your 'love', do it. But leave me and my book out of it." Kai leaned forward, knowing his eyes were flashing in warning. "Do you even know what real love is? To be talking about it in such a lighthearted and foolish way, tells me you've never had to experience the height of being in love and being loved in return. You've never had your heart torn out of your chest, still beating as you are forced to live with it now broken." He sharply pulled Toga's arm higher making her wince. "The next time you come to me about your 'love', I won't be so nice."

Kai held Toga's eyes until he was sure she got the message before he flipped her off him into an ungraceful pile on the floor. Kai stood up and walked out of the living room to head for the back staircase. His head tilted to the side just as the knife Toga always had on her thunked into the wall. He didn't even look back as he opened the door to the stairwell and closed it behind him softly. He was probably a bit too harsh but given how many times he'd been forced to hear her prattling; he would say she kind of deserved it.

When Kai was almost to the second floor the door opened. Kai looked up to see Dabi coming into the stairwell.

"Where's Shina?" Kai shrugged.

"Beats me."

"Shigaraki wants her." Kai was honestly thinking James was onto something as the chapped, pale twig was often calling for her. He kept his musings to himself as he thought.

"She's probably in her garage." Kai said as he continued to climb the stairs. "Kitchen has an elevator, just push 2B and you'll go right down." He passed Dabi without another word.

"You don't want to get her?"

"No, I've had my fill of stubborn women today. Besides, I think you can handle her." Kai smirked. "Just follow the music and you'll find her in her garage." Kai glanced back at Dabi's blank expression. "Don't startle her, wouldn't want her to blind you." Kai wished she would.

~Shina's POV~

The loud bass of the music thumped in Shina's ears as she worked on her car. She'd been putting this off for the last few weeks and considering how crowded it was in the house since everyone had come back to the house for the weekend, this was the last place anyone would look to find her.

Shina had spent the last few weeks going between everybody from their various parts of the city that they were recruiting in. It was a lot of driving, but she'd managed to keep track of everyone enough to be able to help when needed. Toga and Dabi had been the most violent in leaving trails of bodies behind them after either deeming the potential recruits 'unworthy' or just killing all the men because 'they weren't cute enough'. Shina was finally getting a moment to herself to destress before she went back to the going between everyone again.

Shina sighed to herself; it was exhausting working for the League.

She started to bob her head to the beat before a smile formed on her face as she leaned over the car and plugged the correct wires into the car to continue with the programming. She'd been trying to find a way to get the car to run solely on electric and solar power which it technically did, but she also wanted to find a way to have the car do some type of camouflage. She only had half the necessary tech to do it, but she figured if she could do the front half first she could always get the back half later.

Car's weren't something that she worked on exclusively, she knew enough to get by in an emergency, but she was better at taking them apart if anything. Hacking, planning, or finding impossible/slightly sadistic solutions were her forte. This was a personal project of hers that she'd been working on for years at this point. She honestly wouldn't have made it this far if she hadn't asked for help from Naomi and Samara. (Naomi being one of the top scientists on I Island had several ideas for her to try and Samara of the Brazilian Mafia had also helped her bridge those ideas and dumbed them down for Shina to understand). It was at times like this that Shina was glad she had friends in almost every field.

Shina sighed as she put the laptop to the side as another error popped up telling her that another technical issue was going on. Shina grumbled as she looked over the top of the engine before she investigated the car's interior only to find nothing wrong. Shina grumbled as she pulled out the creeper. She pulled her long hair up into a ponytail before she stuck a random pencil in it before she crawled under the car to view the wires she'd placed there. She didn't need a light since she naturally exuded light, so this was a quick fix to find the issue. Shina grumbled as she pulled out the wires and checked the ports before she made the stupid decision to put her finger to the port that was creating the error. The shock from the port had Shina jerking as a loud curse came from her. Shina glared at the port before she rolled out from under the car, intending on grabbing another wire or a port head to replace the stubborn one with.

"Should've asked Yu or Yoshi to help me with this." Shina grumbled aloud as she grabbed the ports and wires. "Could've made some actual progress on this junk." Immediately unnecessary worry filled her as she thought the car would take offense. "Sorry." Shina patted the hood as she leaned forward to pull out her wrench from the engine and gave everything another look over to make sure nothing was going to explode. "Not your fault I put in shoddy wiring." Shina felt stupid for talking to the car but it was a good stress relief of hers. She just prayed no one ever heard her doing this. "Don't worry, I'll rip that cursed port out in a second."

The vindictive glee she felt as she removed the port and replaced it with another was a bit concerning but she didn't think much of it. Shina grumbled a bit more as she got back up off the ground and looked at the laptop to see everything was running clear. Shina felt hope run through her as she did a test run to see if any of the plates on the car would turn a different color. The plates stayed brown for a moment before, like slow honey, they turned red before they glitched, froze and the plates all sparked as the plates were overloaded with energy.

"No, no, NO!" Shina yelled as the plates all lost power. She tried to tap at the laptop to bring it back online but she was only getting red error alerts letting her know the test trial had failed and her work was literally sucked dry. Shina growled as anger, frustration, hopelessness, and irritation battled for dominance. The plates were the only ones she'd had left, it would take her weeks to get new ones in and then she'd have to redo the wiring again to find the proper adapters to control the flow of electricity and her own Quirk! Shina growled under her breath as she glared at the car before she put her hands on her face and screamed into them. When that was done Shina took a breath before she stared at the car unseeing.

'Shipping will take forever with customs. I don't want to have to bribe anyone again. I could just ask Kana to help me get them but then I'd have to borrow her from her current mission. Is it worth it to do that?... I mean in the grand scheme of things... yes?... no... yes… no, have to remain 'professional'… I'm screwed.'

"I'm going to get this done if it kills me." Shina continued to glare for a few more minutes before she raised her hand and let loose targeted beams of light that destroyed the panels on the car with a growl. "Ahhh! I shouldn't have done that… but it was worth it." Shina turned to the door, intent to ask Yoshi for help on expedited shipping, only to stop to see Dabi there. "Aw come on!" Shina grabbed the remote and turned down the music. "What does Shiggy want now?" Shina whined, letting her shoulders droop.

"What makes you think Shigaraki wants you?" He asked. The amusement in his eyes as well as the smug tone let Shina know he'd seen her act out and was no doubt amused at how child-like she was being. She'd learned over the course of the week that he was a sarcastic bastard who liked watching her lose her temper.

"Well, you don't seem to like me." Shina stated plainly. "I doubt you'd come to me for help and if the others wanted me they would either wait for me to show up or try and hunt me down themselves. Shigaraki is the only one who could make you come and get me."

"Hm." Shina waited albeit somewhat impatiently as Dabi seemed to scan the garage. Shina sighed.

"So, what does Shiggy want?" Shina pulled the pencil in her hair and tossed it somewhere in the garage. She'd guess she needed to get ready for a mission. Dabi just stared at her before he glanced to the side.

"What do you work on down here?" Shina hadn't been expecting that question and she ended up staring at him for a second before she blinked. She shrugged.

"I don- Just whatever I feel like I suppose." She pointed to the far side of the garage. "I mainly work on weapons adjustments for me and my clansmen. Otherwise, I work on pranks or plans to steal stuff." Dabi nodded.

"I suppose your parents taught you." Shina frowned.

"No they didn't. What parent teaches their kid how to steal?" The look he gave her honestly had Shina rolling her eyes. "My clansmen are family, but they aren't my birth kids." She didn't know where this questioning was going and if it was going to go farther down the line of 'parents' then she was going to need something personal to know about him. "I'm sorry was there a reason you wanted me?" Dabi looked back at her.

"Why are you in the League? You're not a villain." Shina deadpanned.

"I'm not? Well golly gee someone better alert the media." Dabi scoffed.

"Nevermind brat. Shigaraki does want you. Something about possibly stealing some jewels or something." Shina perked up.

"Really?" Shina practically skipped over to Dabi. "Let's go then, can't let Mr. Dry-skin dehydrate any further." Dabi snorted as he followed her to the elevator at the end of the hall. Briefly, Shina wondered how Dabi had even known to find her down here. It's not like Kira would have told him, she was on a small errand to rob a diamond store. Yoshi had gone with her and Kai was supposed to be watching Kaito on the 3rd floor.

"That anyway to talk about your boss?" Shina glanced at him.

"Says the jerk who called him a dried prune earlier."

"I'd do it again." Dabi stated boredly. Shina snickered.

"I mean dried prune is a good insult, but I'm pretty sure nothing will compare to that time you called him an albino corn husk puppet." Shina laughed at the memory.

"You didn't laugh when I said it initially." Dabi reminded her.

"I was too busy trying to contain myself. Can't let the Dried-out Hermit hear me laughing at him." Shina stated as she pressed the up button.

"How are you his 'left hand'?"

"Same reason you're his 'right hand'." Shina said as she looked at him. "No one else wanted the job." The elevator dinged as it arrived. The ride up was silent. When the door dinged softly and opened to the kitchen Shina was greeted to the sight of Chef Wolfe cooking up the usual dinner buffet.

"Hullo mistress." Wolfe called as he expertly chopped vegetables.

"Wolfe. Don't cut yourself." Shina called as she lead Dabi out of the kitchen.

"As long as James isn't here I'll be fine." Shina snorted at that reminder. The wolf and cat didn't get along for the most part. Shina was just glad that James bothered to eat food prepared by their lupine chef. When Shina entered the living room she saw Shigaraki waiting on the couch. No hand was on his face as he simply tilted his head back against the headrest.

"You called Shiggy?" Shina greeted as she plopped down on the floor across from him. Dabi didn't bother to sit down as he just leaned against the wall to Shigaraki's left. Shigaraki hummed as he slowly opened his eyes and looked down at Shina.

"You took your time."

"I was having a meltdown about wiring." Shina stated in a flat voice. "Moving on, Dabi said you wanted to talk about stealing something? Possibly something shiny?"

"Stealing something yes, shiny no." Shina deflated.

"Take the fun out of it why don't you?" Shigaraki smiled.

"Relax sunshine." Shina clicked her tongue at his nickname. "I'm sure you'll like it. It involves you going to see your minions again at their 'Parents' Day'." Shina blinked.

"You have my attention." Shigaraki nodded.

"Good girl."

~James' POV~

"Chaos Slash!" James shouted as he swiped at the air in front of him, shoving his dark energy outwards to the pile of rocks gathered about 15 feet in front of him. The energy narrowed the farther it travelled, but it also grew in height allowing it to become more unstable as it finally exploded once it hit the target allowing the pile of rocks to turn black before it crumbled into fine sand. James smile was feral as he panted.

He had been working on this move for the last four weeks and he was glad that his hard work had paid off. Of course, his fur stood on end as he straightened, the backlash of using that particular move meant his bad luck senses increased significantly. Up above him the lights flickered making everyone look up warily. The lights flickered dangerously before they finally went out. James sighed as everyone groaned.

"James!" Was the chorus.

"Hey! None of you have to go back to a room that has no electricity tonight so shut your trap!" James yelled back at his classmates.

"The tower's coming down!" Kirishima yelled. James cursed as everyone quickly ran to get to safety as they'd unfortunately grown accustomed to in the last few weeks. James didn't even bother as he was quite used to this by now. Instead he waited as the rocks landed all around him before the larger pillar of concrete he could see was heading towards him.

"Kana!" James yelled. Still no portal came and James was worried he would need to charge up his Chaos Sphere. Colorful, vivid smoke appeared at his feet making James fall through as the pillar got dangerously close to crushing him. James landed on his knees at the entrance to the gym. "Took your time there rat tail."

"You're lucky I even decided to save you." Kana growled as she closed the portal. A chunk of the concrete fell through before she closed it all the way and hit James on his head. James yowled in pain as he clutched at his head. "Oh, look at that, looks like you weren't lucky after all." James snarled at her.

"Did you have to take out the lights James?" Sero murmured. "I almost had my move down."

"I told you, I can't control it." James mumbled as he continued to rub his head.

"You should have warned us you were going to set off that freaking Chaos crap!" Bakugou shouted.

"If I had you guys would have stopped me!" James hissed getting to his feet.

"You have to admit," Denki piped up as the gym's emergency lights came on. "we've gotten pretty good at navigating through James bad luck."

"Try living with him." Yuto muttered. "Every bad hair day, trip, fall, spill…"

"Every electric blow out, A/C shut down, internet crash…" Kana interrupted adding to James irritation as his siblings turned on him.

"Scheme, prank, plan, game console, controller, remote and even battery…" Yuto sighed.

"Wasted." Kana ended in a mournful wail.

"Hey!" James snapped. "It's not that bad." James dusted himself off, wincing as he felt his head throb as if to remind him of the recent hit he took.

"So far we've had 43 blackouts happen since we started training four weeks ago." Iida reported. James winced as he acknowledged that yeah, that was pretty bad. It was even a record for him.

"You've been hit with debris so much it's a good thing you have your own healing factor." Mina gently patted his head making James wilt as she scratched his ear. "You'd probably be living in Recovery Girl's office if not for that."

"It's freaking ridiculous." Bakugou stated. "We can't train anywhere near you furface."

"You're one to talk." Kana muttered making Bakugou glare at her. He didn't say anything which James found a bit odd for him.

"Your outfit's been replaced so many times Hatsume knows your measurements by memory." Midoriya piped up.

"Don't act like you don't have those measurements memorized as well Deku." James stated. Midoriya blinked before he got nervous and awkward.

"W-well when you s-say it that way it s-sounds bad." James snorted.

"Guess trainings over for today." Yuto said.

"It certainly is if the lights don't come on in the next twenty seconds." Tokoyami reported. James could see he was gritting his teeth.

"Todoroki…" Yuto called. Shoto grunted as he raised his hand and fire appeared.

"Would it be a bad idea to bring up training in separate locations?" Shoto asked as the light from his fire provided enough light to keep Dark Shadow from overtaking Tokoyami entirely.

"Well, we can't do much more damage here." All Might called as he walked over. "No one was caught in the backlash of the pillar toppling."

"The power has gone out in the rest of the gym." Aizawa reported as he and Cementoss came through the entrance making everyone turn to look at him. "Due to this, you can all leave early."

"You're not going to make us come in early tomorrow are you?" Kirishima asked in trepidation.

"No." Aizawa answered. "Considering how well you've all been training you get tomorrow off." James had learned enough over the past few weeks to not take Aizawa's evil smile for granted. Everyone else however refused to see the evil their teacher wasn't really doing a good job hiding as they cheered.

"Oh man it's been so long since we had a day off!" Denki cheered.

"Dude we should plan a party or something." Sero said.

"I wish we could go to the mall." Momo spoke.

"A good book would be enough for me." Tokoyami stated.

"You're going to have to show me that book you wanted me to read." Yuto said.

"I can't wait to actually relax." Mina sighed. "I need to show you that one dance I was talking about Kana."

"Oh sure." Kana nodded. "You'll have to take it easy on me though, I don't really know how to dance."

"Nonsense, it's easy." James snorted.

"For you maybe. Kana has two left feet."

"Shut it cat, I mean it I will end you." Kana growled.

"You don't have time to relax." Aizawa's words pierced the air of excitement.

"What?"

"But… relax you said." Denki called.

"I said you get tomorrow off." Aizawa reminded them. James knew it, his teacher was a secret evil agent who held a grudge against fun. He was going to work them into the ground. "Your parents are coming tomorrow for 'Parent's Day'. I suggest you all take the rest of this afternoon to write an appreciation letter to your parents that you will give to them tomorrow."

"WAIT WHAT?" The class cried out. James raised his hand. Aizawa sighed.

"Yes James?"

"I don't have parents."

"Then you can address it to your guardian when she comes tomorrow. Kana, Yuto that goes for you as well." James flicked his tail in irritation. Stupid bad luck.

GM NASAI: I really wanted to do a Christmas chapter but I guess I'll have to do one after the holidays. Happy New Years everyone!
