Chapter Forty-six

~James' POV~

"... I don't think you qualify as a traitor James. Why would you say that?" James could see how he could lie about the meaning and indeed, he had the perfect cover on his tongue but, one look at Momo's eyes and he folded. She deserved the truth from him. His siblings were gonna be mad.

"I'm not a hero Momo. Not really." James hesitated before he stood up. "I'm just gonna go. I should…" He started to walk away biting his tongue, but he didn't make it very far before he felt his arm being grabbed. When he glanced back Momo was holding his wrist. A small blush on her cheeks but a steady and determined look in her eyes.

"James, I apologize for being so forward with this, but I can't in good conscience let you go after you say something like that." Momo stated before she seemed to come to a decision in her head. "You are a hero James. I think you'll be the best one out of all of us. Don't give up on yourself."

"… Momo..." James looked away. "Don't be so nice to me. You don't… you don't know anything about me."

"That's not true James. I know plenty about you." Momo stated. James glanced at her as she continued. "I know you can't drink anything but water. I know you say you don't like people touching you, but you still purr when we do it. I know you don't like Kirishima for some reason, but you still give him advice when he needs it. You're the only one who doesn't hesitate when things need to be done. You like the smell of rain but you hate getting wet. You don't like hot things, you prefer plain foods. You're better at languages but you don't get a big head about it." James eyes had widened halfway through Momo's explanation. "You're also my… my friend. And I can't let you think of yourself as a traitor."

"Momo, stop." James ordered. Momo blinked at him. James sighed as he made a decision. "I'm a thief." James waited for her judgement wondering when he'd gotten so soft as to actually… care about hurting someone. Well not someone, Momo. He was pathetic. He was willing to share this with Momo but not Mina? God he really was a two timer.

"Are you a petty thief? Because we can get help if you need it?"

"No Momo… I'm a professional thief. So is Kana and Yuto and my guardian… We're thieves."

"Do you steal from the rich and give to the poor like Robin Hood? Or are you… the kind that steals larger things and doesn't care?" James thought about it before he sighed.

"We're a little of both, I guess? Honestly I only steal because of my sisters. They drag me into the jobs we do."

"I see…" James watched as Momo seemed to process this information. "Why do you say you're a traitor then? Is it because you've stolen something from us students?"

"…no… it's…it's complicated Momo and it's dangerous." Momo placed both of her hands on James hand and met his eyes. There was an earnest light in her eyes as well as a determination he hadn't expected.

"Tell me James. I want to help you."

"I...we're… we're being blackmailed into working for the League of Villains." Momo's eyes widened in horror.

"What? Why? Why would you work with those… evil people?" James grabbed her hand gently before he placed a hand on her cheek to help her focus.

"Blackmail. You understand that right?"

"Of course. But what could the League of Villains have on you?" Momo leaned away slightly. "What blackmail do they have that makes you and your siblings work with them?" James was really going to get in trouble for this one, but he couldn't exactly hide this. Not after saying so much.

"All For One contacted my sister about this job. She tried to refuse but, AFO knew information about us that he shouldn't have known. Like our real names and who our family is. He threatened to kill our grandmother if we didn't do as he said. She's the only family we have left."

"That's… that's horrible!" Momo gasped, covering her mouth with one hand as she thought about the information James had just revealed. "Isn't there anything that you can do? You can go to the teacher or the police?" James gave her a bewildered look before he bit his tongue. Momo was only being logical.

"Momo, I know you're smart enough to figure out what would happen if I or my siblings did that." James spoke softly. "My sister is with the League all the time. If one of us told… she'd be killed. I wouldn't let that happen."

"…I understand. I'm sorry for rushing into that thought process." Momo murmured. "So, what are you going to do?"

"I don't know. Right now, I'm trusting my sister to let us know her plan. Only thing is, we have to wait and," James grumbled as he fell into a low crouch like a cat sitting down. His ears flicked as he lowered them. "I don't like waiting."

"I wish I could say something that would make it up to you about your situation. I'm sorry just doesn't seem to cover this."

"Heh, yeah it doesn't." James ears twitched as he heard the snap of a branch off to the side in the woods and he narrowed his blue eyes as his head turned, allowing him to look into the forest's dim shadows. He easily saw the quick movement of the person hiding. Well, this complicated things so much more than he'd expected. He would need to take care of this now. Kana may kill him. "Momo?"

"Yeah?"

"I want you to promise me that you won't tell anyone what I've told you. I don't want any trouble for my family." James didn't turn to see her as his eyes locked on the widened eyes of Sero.

"I promise James." James nodded as he got up.

"Thank you Momo. You're a great friend. I really appreciate you."

"Y-you do?" James nodded, not looking at her.

"Yes. I'm sorry Momo but I need to go talk to Sero."

"Okay. Um, why?"

"He's got something of mine that I didn't realize he had until just now. Do you mind if I catch up with you later?"

"Oh, yes."

"Thanks Momo." James didn't wait another moment as he launched his body into the forest after Sero. Sero saw him coming for him and he ran for it. James was fast and he knew he'd catch Sero sooner rather than later as he used all four limbs to run close to the ground like he'd been taught to when chasing prey. Sero's tape shot out to the trees and Sero used his already accelerated speed to jump off the ground. James pounced after him but missed by an inch. James righted himself and soon he was chasing after Sero who was being Spider-Man in the trees. James stayed low to the ground as he followed Sero.

James eyes and muscles were working as he tracked Sero's momentum and he launched forward to where Sero was supposed to land. He suffered his arm being stepped on as he met the tree branch at the same time Sero jumped but he managed to knock Sero off course and the tape broke making Sero fall to the ground.

"Ah!" Sero cried out as James scrambled forward and pinned him to the forest floor. James raised his hand, claws extended as he glared at Sero.

"No! Hey! James I won't tell anyone I swear!" Sero cried out. James narrowed his eyes.

"Why should I believe that?"

"Because I like you! I like Kana and Yuto too! I'm texting buddies with your guardian! Come on man I won't tell anyone I swear!" Sero talked fast when he panicked, James noted distantly but he didn't lower his claws. "I don't even know what I heard. I'm deaf in one ear because of Bakugou's bombs!"

"You know. You were listening for a while." James growled. Sero's face twitched and he nodded in shame.

"Oh, mi madre tenía razón, me iba a meter en problemas de alguna manera aquí en UA." Sero muttered under his breath. James smirked at that.

"Fine. I'll spare you. But if anyone else finds out, I know who to turn to." James grumbled as he cut Sero free from his tape and helped him up.

"Yeah no problem." Sero gave a shaky smile to James before he rubbed the back of his head. "So uh, was all that true about… ya know?" James deadpanned. "I mean… I know nothing."

"And you won't know anything more." James stated seriously. Sero nodded before he glanced at James.

"But… I do know. I mean, why would you let yourselves get blackmailed like that? That's just…" James hissed at Sero when he seemed like he was going to go on a rant about the Nara families situation. Sero twitched before he nodded at James. "Alright fine. I won't talk about it."

"Good. Sería una lástima si tuviera que ir a tener esta conversación en tu habitación en medio de la noche." James threatened. Sero's eyes widened, and he gulped. A small flash of fear in his eyes. James grinned at him ferally. "Ya know, this just might be a bit fun now that you know. I wouldn't have to hide my true self anymore."

"...What do you mean?" Sero asked hesitantly. James just smirked.

"Well, now you know I'm a villain. And I know if you want to stay alive, you'll keep your mouth shut if I slip up a little." James was enjoying toying with Sero just a little. His smirk was wiped clean a moment later. "Just keep your mouth shut Sero. If not for my sake, than for Kana and Yuto's sake." Sero nodded mutely, fear and hesitation still on his face. James nodded at him before he nodded his head. "Come on, let's get back to the dorms."

~Shina's POV~

Helping Eri settle in hadn't been so bad. She'd clung to Shina so tightly it had made her want to reschedule this little meeting. But… it was necessary. Shina had left Eri at one of the safehouses in northern Tokyo with one of the maids, she'd be safe, and Shina would be able to see her whenever she wasn't doing something for Shigaraki or the League.

Shina stood on top of the rooftop of an abandoned warehouse. It was the only place that didn't have cameras and was far enough away from the usual overlooks that not too many people would come here. In fact, only someone who specifically needed to be here would come. Shina stood not too far from the door that led up here as this was a three-story warehouse, the biggest one here. She honestly didn't like heights and right now it was taking all her willpower to not just run back to the stairs and call this meeting off. She steeled her resolve and kept waiting, eyes closed to not look around. Mentally she was counting as that helped her calm down and think rationally.

"Hey, are you okay?" Shina's eyes opened. Hawks hovered in the air in front of her before he dropped into a low crouch before standing upright, his hands in his pockets as he gave her a concerned look.

"Yeah I… I don't like heights." Hawks smirked. "Then why did you want to meet up here?"

"No one would ever expect I would come up here." Shina stated seriously. Hawks lost his smile as he tilted his head in confusion. "I didn't think you'd come to be honest."

"I'll always come when you call." Hawks said, as if it was obvious. "Plus, you said it was important."

"Yeah it is." Shina nodded wondering how she was going to even start this conversation. How did one even say something like this? Especially to a hero? From everything she'd learned from Hawks, he was carefree to a certain point but he was strict when it came to the hero vs villain fight. He may not give her a chance to properly explain. Shina's mind raced as she tried to figure out the best way to begin. Unfortunately, Hawks didn't seem to have the same regard to Shina's thoughtful silence.

"…So?" Hawks called. Shina swallowed and figured she had better begin with the start of this thing.

"I'm sorry about what I texted you. I honestly didn't mean it. There's no one else, well, in the dating aspect."

"Then why'd you text me that?" Hawks asked, frowning slightly.

"It… I had to text you that."

"Why? Explain." She hesitated before chickening out and said,

"Hypothetically speaking, let's say the woman you were interested in, turned out to be the leader of an international team that stole a lot of stuff and was now being blackmailed by Shigaraki and AFO to work for them? And let's say her affiliation with you got her in trouble with Shigaraki, hence why she sent the text." He froze as he thought about what she'd said.

"Wow that's… quite the situation. Clearly this is a very dangerous situation." Shina nodded at him as he thought some more. "I would want to help her and her team escape and find a safe place to hide. If Shigaraki knows who they are, we'll need to move quickly and carefully to protect them and keep the rest of society safe from Shigaraki's planning."

"Okay." Shina nodded before sighing. "Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that her team is a group of teenagers that are undercover at UA right now gathering information that the woman you've been… interested in, hasn't been very truthful in getting the full information to the League because she doesn't trust the League with children's information. And because she's not a psycho out to hurt kids." Hawks frowned.

"This is quite the hypothetical."

"I have a very active imagination." She spoke softly, keeping a steady gaze on him. "What would your answer be though?" Hawks took his time to think about it before he sighed.

"That's a tough situation. On the one hand she's putting herself in danger with the League by working with them. On the other hand, she seems to have her own morals and isn't willing to jeopardize innocent lives." Hawks assessed Shina before he concluded. "In the end it's up to her to decide how to proceed, but I would encourage her to be careful and not take any unnecessary risks." Shina nodded.

"And what if she wants to get out of the League? With her teams info safe of course. Would you help her?" She quickly added on, "Like I know you will cause you're a hero, but would you be willing to go undercover or something to harm or kill Shigaraki?"

"I would do whatever it took to help this woman and her team to get out safely. If that meant going undercover in the League of Villains, I would be ready. And if it meant putting myself in danger to stop Shigaraki. I would do it without hesitation. The League is a grave threat to society and it's important that we all do our part to keep people safe. If that means going undercover, I would do it in a heartbeat." His answer had been instant, hardly any hesitation. Shina tilted her head, curious about the reasoning.

"… now see you say that and that makes me wonder… Would you do it because it's your job or because you love this woman?" She asked, unsure why she'd even asked as that wasn't her primary objective here. She blamed her curiosity. Hawks gave a faint smile as he answered in a serious voice.

"It's both. My job is to keep people safe, and I would do whatever it takes to do my job. But I also care about this woman and would do anything for her. So, it's a little of both. I'll do my job to keep people safe, and I'll also do what I can to protect and support the woman I care about."

"That's sweet." Shina cleared her throat and looked away. "I figure your smart enough to realize that this isn't hypothetical. Any ideas?"

"I know this isn't hypothetical and I'm here to help. We can put together an emergency plan to get you and your team out of this situation. First we'll need to find a safe place to hide and make a plan for how to get your team out of UA. It won't be easy, but with the right planning, we can do it. Are you ready to take this step?" She nodded, giving him a serious look.

"It would be easier to give you all the information you need first. I can't exactly go running off so quickly. Not when Shigaraki calls on me so often. And my team is safe for now at UA. I doubt Shigaraki would touch the school." Hawks nodded thoughtfully.

"We're gonna need to be careful about how we move. I have faith we can do it."

"…I know I came to you with this, but why are you so eager to help? You trusted me way too easily with this. Are you sure I'm not… lying?" She gave him a wary look. There was a faint smile on his face as he heard the question.

"I'm here to help because you need it. If you need my help, I'll do everything in my power to give it to you. Trust is a difficult thing, and I know you may not trust me but I hope that by working together you will." He held out his hand for her to take. Shina glanced at his hand and then back up at him. She hesitated only because she'd never trusted so easily. Hawks… well she may have been a bit biased, but she trusted him. Shina reached out to take his hand.

"You're a little too good hero, you know that?" He smiled at the words.

"I'll take that as a compliment. My job is to protect people, and if that makes me a good hero then I'll wear that mantle proudly. But I'm just doing what I was created to do." He squeezed her hand firmly. "So how do you want to start?" Shina pulled her hand back to reach into one of her hidden pockets. She pulled out a USB and handed it to him.

"All the information I stole regarding heroes and students is on here. There are two files, one with the edited version that holds what I gave to Shigaraki and the original versions." He took the USB and looked at it.

"Thanks, I'll take a look at this later." He put the USB in his pocket and looked back at her. "This is a big risk for you to take."

"I know." Shina nodded seriously. "First steps usually the hardest though, isn't it?" He nodded. Her phone chimed making her look down at it. She closed her eyes and sighed before she looked back at Hawks. "I have to go. Shigaraki's calling me. I don't know when I'll be able to meet you again, but, I'll get a message to you somehow." He nodded. Before Shina descended into the stairs he called out,

"Sunfire?" She froze before she turned to look back at him. She hadn't given her alias to him but she should have expected that he would be able to connect the dots so quickly. Only one red head on the League's team as it was. She'd need to do something about that, but that could wait for now.

"Yes?" Hawks smiled warmly at her.

"Be safe?"

"I always am." Shina nodded at him before descending into the warehouses darkness to head back to the League.

~Kana's POV~

Patrol that night had only been going on for about thirty minutes when the calm was disturbed by two large Quirk users literally burst from an apartment complex like a chick hatching from it's egg. The two giants destroyed the building next to them before Kana and her team were in motion.

"Kana, make sure all debris stays clear of the two users. Keep an eye on Nejire." Ryuuku ordered. Kana nodded and started to open her portals into a large oval that transported any debris to another location. Nejire powered up her attack and Kana caught her eye. Nejire nodded at Kana and Kana opened two portals under the quirk users making them fall into an imbalanced state as Nejire hit them with her quirk. Uraraka and Tsu pelted the quirk users with debris Uraraka had made float adding to keep the two quirk users off balance. Kana kept the portal opened until the quirk users were detained.

"Nice, really nice!" Nejire called once everyone was back in their huddle formation after the Quirk users had been taken by the police. "Were you three nervous?"

"We did it just like you said!" Uraraka chirped.

"Ribbit! I wasn't worried." Tsu spoke.

"It was fun and I'm glad I was able to help on this one." Kana commented with a small smile on her face.

"Good job everyone." Ryukyu praised them in her calm and poised voice. "You're as good as Nejire said you were. And good job on timing that attack Nejire."

"Thank you for hiring us." Uraraka and Tsu bowed. Kana nodded her head at Ryukyu, not comfortable with the bowing custom.

"Ah! Ryukyu, did you know that these three couldn't work with their internship agencies because they're first years and they needed a more accomplished agency? Didya know that?" Nejire asked. Kana mentally couldn't help the adoring gasp she let out. Nejire was just so cute. Ryukyu smiled.

"You girls are certainly good. You're already showing such promise as capable fighters. In fact, I think you'd be right for a case we were offered." Kana frowned.

"What case?" Uraraka asked.

"All Might's former sidekick Nighteye has requested help with a case." Ryukyu stated. It concerns the investigation and take down of the group Shie Hissaikai. With the League of Villains involved, it's gonna be an important job." Kana frowned slightly at that. She hadn't been aware the League had joined with the guys who'd killed Mange. Of course, she hadn't kept up with the news lately. She'd been a bit… distracted. She'd need to correct that soon.

"I didn't know All Might had a sick kick before." She said lowly.

"Once he did." Nejire said mysteriously. Kana honestly thought her attempt at being 'mysterious' was too cute. It did get a smile out of her though.

"When do we start?" Uraraka asked.

"Tomorrow." Ryukyu answered. "For now, I suppose this was a big night for you girls. Let's continue with patrol and we can send you back to UA safely."

The girls continued to do their patrol of the neighborhood. They did manage to stop another petty theft but that was it. Kana was eager to get back to UA to text Shina and to message Kira. She hadn't heard from her bestie in two days. It was driving her nuts.

"So…" Kana glanced at Uraraka when she came up to her while they were changing their clothes after their shift. "Are you and Bakugou really going on a date?" Kana gaped.

"Who… said that?"

"Kirishima's been telling everyone that Bakugou finally asked you out." Tsu said. Kana was speechless but she took a moment to think about it before she mentally sighed. If anyone knew about his business, it was Kirishima. That boy had all the tea and could never keep anything a secret.

"Yeah, Bakugou asked me." Kana said in a soft voice. "But don't… don't go overboard please. I don't…" Kana looked uncomfortable just talking about this. "It's just to get ice cream, that's all."

"Are you nervous about being alone with Bakugou?" Uraraka asked sympathetically.

"He is pretty scary." Tsu commented.

"No." Kana shook her head. "I'm not afraid of being alone with him. I just… don't really wanna talk about this right now. I'm not one to gossip."

"That's fair." Tsu nodded as she went back to getting dressed. Uraraka gave her a smile before she nodded.

"Okay. So uh, what's up with James and Sero lately? I saw James trying to hunt down Sero the other day outside training." Kana frowned at that.

"Uh, I don't know. I'm not always in my brothers business."

"Have you noticed that Momo's seemed a bit distracted lately?" Tsu asked.

"I think it's because of the James and Mina issue." Uraraka stated. Kana frowned.

"Whoa what? What issue?" Both girls looked at her.

"Uh, well, we've kinda been taking bets on when James is gonna ask out Mina but there's also talk about James ending up with Momo."

"Yeah Momo's feelings are obvious." Tsu said calmly. "I'm just hoping it all works out for them. It can't be easy to be split between two girls." Meanwhile, as they talked, Kana's smirk grew, and a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes as she thought about everything.

"I don't think J will figure this out for maybe another year. Course if one of them steps up and decides to reveal their feelings for him, it may take a month?" Kana mused. "But my money's on Momo. No offense to Mina, but Momo seems like she would be able to round out his kitty personality better."

"I think Mina and Kirishima would be better." Uraraka smiled. "They'd be so cute together."

"I kind of pictured Momo with Shoji for some reason." Tsu added. Kana chuckled.

"Shoji's baby though."

"Yeah." Both girls agreed before they paused and just looked at each other before they giggled. Kana simply smiled. She missed girls time like this. Which made her miss her sister Kira even more. Kana pulled out her phone and sent a simple text to her.

'We gotta have a girls night soon. Where are you?'

'I'm at home.' Kira texted back quickly.

'Movie night?'

'No, kind of busy right now.'

Kana sighed but she understood. Kira was probably doing something for Shiggy or Shina anyway. Though, she hadn't realized that Kira was back at the Ugly House already. Why she'd called it 'home' though was odd but Kana didn't pay much attention to that. Instead, Kana finished getting dressed and headed back to UA with Uraraka and Tsu.

~Yoshi's POV~

Yoshi knew he was often overlooked. He was the tech guy, the eyes, and ears of the internet. He usually only came out of his room when Yuto was around to watch movies with, or he wanted to get some fresh air from Shina's balcony. He didn't mind it, Shina had him working on multiple things at once. Shigaraki was also a good source of entertainment when they got Spinner to do a co-op team while gaming. Yoshi learned more about Shigaraki and Spinner this way and he had to say, he genuinely liked them both. Not that he'd ever say that aloud.

Despite being a criminal in his own right, he was still a fifteen-year-old boy with confidence issues. Maybe that was why he bonded so well with Shigaraki and Spinner. They were older but they liked gaming as well as he did.

The thing about Yoshi though, was that Yoshi could pull up all online information on anyone, anywhere in the world from his room and no one would be able to stop him. If he had their name and date of birth? It would only take him at most three minutes to gather all their relevant information and put it in a detailed composite for anyone to read. If it was just a picture or name? It would take him seven but that's only because he made sure to gather everything. It was petty but if someone was going to make him look them up and miss his Kdrama or his gaming? It was worth it.

Yoshi wasn't just the information gatherer. He was also the security systems. All cameras monitoring the Ugly House were his secondary eyes. So imagine his surprise, when he saw someone at the front gate that wasn't supposed to be there. He didn't pay much attention at first because, well, people do be stragglers sometimes. It wasn't until the cameras started to glitch and power down that he realized something was wrong. It wasn't a virus that he knew, so he figured it was someone with a Quirk.

He was running out of the room five minutes after trying to troubleshoot these issues. He had forgotten about the person at their front gate and as a result, he was shocked when the person was suddenly at their front door!

"Shina!" Yoshi yelled out in a panic. Shina was talking with Dabi by the couches looking a little too close but Yoshi had bigger priorities than Shinas love life.

"What?" Shina frowned , glancing over at him.

"Someone's at the front door!" Yoshi yelled just as the doorbell rang. "Systems are knocked out!" Shina responded instantly, getting to her feet as a serious expression took over her features.

"Panic room now Yosh." Yoshi nodded and darted to Shina's room as she started to move to warn the rest of the League. Yoshi crawled into Shina's closet and unhooked the latch behind the shoes and crawled into the panic room. Yoshi wasn't a fighter, true he could if his life depended on it, but physically? He wasn't the strongest, he was fast, but he didn't have the stamina to keep that up for long. Even Toga would be able to beat him in a physical fight.

Yoshi curled up on the floor of the panic room and watched the monitors as whoever was at the front door burst in. A gas was released that blocked the cameras leaving Yoshi blind. He didn't dare log into the security systems as he wasn't sure what the glitching was, but he didn't want to get caught in that at the moment.

He reached for his phone to message his siblings but that was when he came to the horrifying realization that he'd left his phone on the desk in his room. Yoshi thought about going for it but even he knew that was a stupid idea. Five minutes later his reasonings changed and he was unlocking the door and tumbling out of the panic room.

When he poked his head out of Shina's room he expected to hear sounds of shouting and chaos but it was eerily silent. Yoshi slowly, carefully looked around the third floor living area. His eyes widened in horror. Shina was unconscious and lying by Dabi who was also unconscious on his back. Yoshi reasoned he didn't need his phone that badly and he ran back to the panic room, locking himself back in as he looked at the monitors. They remained white before they started to glitch and then they went black.

Yoshi was on his own. He'd never been more terrified.

~Kai's POV~

Kai waited with Kira's sleeping body in the ruined apartment for two hours before he received a text from Yoshi that the car was downstairs. Kai grabbed the bag he'd found that held Kira's sniper rifle and her clothes. He tossed it over his shoulder before he picked Kira up and walked downstairs to the car.

"Is Ms. Kira alrigh'?" Jean Von asked when Kai appeared on the sidewalk.

"I don't know. She's sleeping." Kai stated. Jean Von nodded and indicated the car door as Claude appeared behind Kai without warning. Kai didn't flinch, or at least if he did he didn't acknowledge it. The three men climbed into the car and Claude started to drive before any words were said.

"I didn't hear or find anything of use." Claude stated. "Searched the block, nothing."

"Nothing in the other apartments in the building." Jean Von stated. Kai understood what the men were doing, and he instantly resorted to what he called 'mission mode'.

"I checked Kira's electronics, but her laptop, phone and tablet were missing. Yoshi is tracking them right now, but he hasn't gotten back to me on them."

"Last contact was still yesterday at 1742." Claude stated. Kai nodded once at that information as he looked down at Kira's sleeping face. Her eyes were moving as if she was dreaming but other than that, she was completely relaxed. He'd never seen her like this before. Kira was usually moving in some way, whether that was twiddling her fingers or popping her bones. Even when she was still some part of her moved. Seeing her still and relaxed, he didn't like it.

"We'll get 'er back ta Miss Shina, she'll know what ter do." Jean Von promised as Claude sped up. Kai hoped so. He pulled out his phone to report into Shina on Kira's condition. The phone rang once, twice and then went to voicemail. Kai frowned and tried again with the same result. Kai tried calling Yoshi but he got the same response.

"Shina's not answering her phone. Neither is Yoshi." He reported to the two men.

"Try Shigaraki." Claude advised. "He usually has Shina right next to him." Kai did as Claude suggested but he only got the same results.

"What's the point in having a phone if no one answers?" Kai growled. "I'm calling Kana. She can find Shina." Also see what the hell's going on at the Ugly House for no one to be answering their phones. Kai waited as Kana's phone rang once, twice, three times. He was about to hang up in frustration when the call was answered.

'What?' Kana's voice snapped tiredly. Kai didn't take that personally.

"I need you to find Shina. Now."

'Why? Don't you have a phone?' Kana grumbled. He didn't hear any movements on her end though so he growled.

"Kana! Move your butt and find Shina! Kira's in trouble." He heard a loud thud. He guessed Kana fell off her bed. A rustling sounded before Kana was back on the phone.

'Where is Kira? Is she okay?'

"She's… sleeping." Kai stated as he looked back at Kira. "She's been sleeping for a while now. She's not waking up." He didn't have to see Kana's face to know she was freaking out. "She's still alive and unharmed but, she won't wake up. I need you to find Shina, she's not answering her phone."

'Right, hold on!' Kana's voice was serious. Kai guessed she was opening her portal but there was no sound to Kana's portals so he wasn't too sure. '…The house is quiet.' Kana muttered idly into the phone.

"Hurry up Kana!" Kai snapped.

'I'm trying give me a minute.' Kana snapped back at him. Kai bit his retort back as he really didn't want Kana to hang up on him just for him to call back. 'Kai?' Kana's voice sounded different now.

"What?"

'Spinner's facedown on the den floor. Toga's lying on the couch.'

"So?" Kai asked, rolling his eyes. He didn't care what the League did. His main priority was getting Shina so they could figure out what was wrong with Kira.

'They aren't moving.' Kana reported.

"Just, get to Shina. Leave the damn League alone!" Kai growled. He didn't get a response and that just made him angrier and more anxious.

'Compress is asleep on the floor of the entry way. Oh, Maria!' Kai frowned at that. 'Kai… they're all unconscious. Juanita is asleep on the stairs.' Kai looked at Claude who was frowning as he used his Quirk to listen into the phone call.

"Tell her to get out of there now." Claude ordered as he looked at Kai through the rearview mirror.

'Uh, Kai? Shina's asleep too.' Kana reported making Kai focus back on her.

"Kana, Claude said to get out of there. Now!" Kai wasn't sure what was going on, but this wasn't good. At the rate they were currently driving, they wouldn't be back at the Ugly House for maybe three to four hours.

'Shina's sleeping on Dabi.' Kana muttered. 'Imma take a picture of this.'

"Kana! GET OUT OF THERE!" Kai yelled into his phone, glaring at the screen as he wished desperately that he could throttle the idiot. "NOW!"

'Alright I'm going.' Kana yelled back. 'There I'm back at UA happy?'

"Kai, give me tha phone." Jean Von ordered as he held out his hand. Kai didn't want to but he gave his phone to the older man. "Much obliged. Now Kana, can ya tell me cher, didja see anythin' else? I needja ta report on everythin' ya saw cher." Kai didn't hear any of the conversation, but Kana sounded like she was giving a full in depth report on what she'd seen. Kai wasn't dumb, far from it, but he really hoped that whoever had done this to Kira, had left a trace because once he hunted them down they were going to suffer for days.

GM NASAI: Hello! Just a minor note, I have done some editing on the last chapter and this chapter. It's mainly to Shina's POV, I didn't realize I was using the first person perspective for 'I' and 'Me' and I didn't want to fall down that rabbit hole. So I fixed that. I also fixed the numbering on the chapters. So the Prologue and Chapter one are all one now. I think I'll go back and fix a few more things later but for now we're all good.

On another note: Anyone have any comments on any OOC moments? I'm only one person trying to get this worked out to the best of my abilities! Feedback is greatly appreciated. Even a small 'it's good' is enough.
