Author's Note: Hello! Thank you so much to everyone for the views, follows, and favorites! I seem to not be getting any type of notification from ffnet since two weeks ago? My ffnet emails are starred as important so I have no idea what's going on with that end, I think ffnet is having issues once more so hopefully, it can get resolved.
Also! Stay tuned to the very end! A little of my own theory so that this story can make a little sense haha granted there will probably be some fact that I didn't see that would destroy my little lore to pieces, but this is my thought process while writing this story lol be warned it's a little long, but it's my thought process and my hope to explain my reasoning for what I write.

"Mother Miranda said that we will be leaving this place." A feathery, comforting voice of a female echoed throughout the dark laboratory.
"Yeah…" A low-like rumble of a male responded from another part of the room, the tone completely different from the female, more rough than smooth.
"She said that we will be meeting our 'siblings' today." The female continued to speak before the voice got louder, indicating that the female had now turned her head, facing where the male was seated. "What do you think that means?"
"…I can't say Selena." The male instantly replied after a moment of hesitation. "As far as I know? I had no siblings."
Several years had passed, gone were the frail little boy and girl who seemed to cower at the thought of undergoing Mother Miranda's experiments. Adolescence had hit, both children were soon to turn twenty, and under Mother Miranda's watchful eyes as well as her testing and "mothering" nature they had grown into fine specimens. Though the two still feared the woman, they were anxious at the prospect of finally leaving the one place they spent their childhood and teenage years in.
"Karl…I'm afraid." Selena moved closer to the bars that separated both her and Karl, subconsciously seeking him out and wanting to be closer to her best friend, a familiar routine that Selena had not grown out of. "What if Mother Miranda means to get rid of us…like the many other subjects that came before and after?"
"That woman would never get rid of us, we're too important for her to simply throw away." Karl had scoffed as shuffling was heard in the cell in front of Selena, an adult man came walking up to the bars before ungracefully flopping down in front of where Selena was crouched. Karl had flashed Selena a cheeky grin before proudly puffing out his chest. "If she tries, then we simply fight back to ensure our survival. Plain and simple."
"You can fight back Karl, I can't." Selena was worried but giggled as she saw Karl's silly action. "My gift doesn't work on cue as yours does, we don't even know if I can do any more than what we tried." Selena tried to argue. "Not to mention, Mother Miranda doesn't even know that I was bestowed such a fluke gift…if she finds out about it she may think it's not worth keeping me around. I just want to make Mother Miranda pro-"
"She would never deem you unworthy of keeping you around. Don't say that buttercup, your ability is…amazing, and that woman should never get her hands on it. Remember that." Karl sternly scolded, reaching through the bars to grab for her trembling hands to make sure that he had her full attention as well as underlining how important his next words were. "Make sure it stays that way, Selena. We'll make sure she never knows about your ability."
"I just can't help but feel a slight sense of guilt…" Selena felt conflicted, she respected Mother Miranda because…well she was their 'mother' right? She was looking after them in her own way, Selena would try to justify the actions of the woman who gave them a new life, but at the same time she shared Karl's resentment and bubbling dislike toward their 'mother'. "It's awful what she did to us, the terrifying things we had to endure, but she's done a lot for us."
"Sure, yeah…she's done a lot for us." Karl said, though throughout the years Selena came to learn the meaning of sarcasm. "She took me in when my parents vanished, or died, and gave me such a wonderful gift that I didn't want." Karl demonstrated as he lifted a few spare nails and bolts that Mother Miranda had given him to practice on. "But I despise her for the years of pain I had to endure for her experimental gain…a feeling that you should share as well."
Childhood and most of their teens were spent behind bars, not even once had they been offered a comfy place to rest and relax. In a blink of an eye they had grown, though time had not passed by so easily for them…to them, time stretched on for eternity: hours felt like days, days felt like months, and so forth. Being subjected to hours of experimentations, examinations, and countless analyses, as well as Selena living in constant fear whenever the woman was around, took a toll on the young adults. Fear of being attacked when a subject would transform during their time in the laboratory whenever Mother Miranda would pay them their daily visit. Fearing that their next testing would be worse because Mother Miranda had had a sudden breakthrough. But when Mother Miranda would leave did they get a moment to let out a breath of relief, giving them a chance to stretch their legs and act their age without Mother Miranda giving the added pressure.
In those moments they had to themselves Karl had taken that opportunity to continue to test the limits of his powers as well as further develop his ability, pushing his limits day after day. He first started by taking the key off the ring on the wall, unlocking both his and Selena's cell, and doing what people at their age did at that time…or could do given their limitations. They would play around the laboratory, being extremely careful not to touch or break anything, before locking themselves back into their cell. Their whole life revolved around the laboratory, it was all they knew, and as their bodies grew taller and developed, their friendship solidified.
Mother Miranda remained none the wiser about their countless escapades.
With time, a strong bond had formed between the two individuals, an understanding that no matter what, they would have each other's back. Karl, in his own way, was immensely protective of Selena who still had yet to remember or recall anything from before she was taken in by Mother Miranda. And Selena? She grew dependent on Karl in a way where she knew if she had questions about a topic that was common knowledge, troubled or anxious, Karl would answer all of it….even if he acted like he had better things to do, he was as patient as he could be with Selena. He would also be there to take her mind off the issues that were bothering her as would Selena for him.
Compared to the years before they wouldn't attempt to unlock their cells, not today, and quite possibly not anymore if they were to trust what Mother Miranda had said to them the day before. And just like clockwork, the two young adults heard the metal hinges on the door creak and groan as the wooden door began to open.
"Heisenberg. Sinclair." The dark figure of Mother Miranda smoothly walked further into the room, practically gliding across the floor toward their respective cells. "Today's the big day, are you excited to meet your siblings."
Selena, out of habit, withdrew into herself as she meekly nodded her head while Karl remained silent though his eyes were watching Mother Miranda's movement cautiously. From under Mother Miranda's mask, the woman smiled in satisfaction as she reached over to grab the key that would unlock their cell doors.
The first to be let out was Karl who, without hesitation, confidently strutted out of his cell, his focus solely on the only door in this whole laboratory. The second was Selena, her reaction was opposite from Karl's. Selena had shuffled her way out of the cell, the young lady was anxious about what would happen when she stepped foot out of the only room she knew in the presence of Mother Miranda. But when she saw that Mother Miranda was simply waiting for her to leave Selena had quickly made her way over to Karl and instantly stuck to his side.
Taken by surprise, the young man had put up a slight fuss about Selena latching onto him too tightly. Karl had attempted to push her away, but when he felt her hand trembling beneath his own when he tried to pry her fingers apart he didn't have the heart to do so and simply let her be. If anything, he had made sure to step closer to Selena, bringing his own body close to hers in hopes to calm her nervous and fearful shaking.
"It does my heart good to see the two of you so close." Mother Miranda blankly pointed out before walking over to the two adults. Mother Miranda had brought out a simple fur-lined cloak to securely wrap it over Selena's trembling form and pulled the hood completely over Selena's head. She only began to speak when she was fully satisfied that Selena was concealed completely within the cloak. "We would need to pass through the village in order for you to meet the rest of your siblings. You must stick close to me my children, do you understand?"
"Why must I wear this hood over my head, Mother Miranda?" Selena asked as her eyes peaked up from under the hood.
"Your ruby eyes and beautiful golden locks may attract some...unwanted attention from the unworthy and unruly." Mother Miranda reasoned. "Your such a lovely young lady whose beauty is unparalleled, and when men are faced with such temptations they tend to act…in an unsavory manner. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you or Heisenberg."
Before Selena could respond, ask what exactly Mother Miranda meant, the hood of her cloak was forcefully tugged back down by Karl. "We're ready to go Mother Miranda."
The young woman was confused, she wished she could ask Mother Miranda to further explain, after all…Karl was a man yet didn't act like how Mother Miranda said men would act. But Selena dared not speak anymore as the two noticed Mother Miranda begin to take her leave.
Karl followed leisurely behind the woman while Selena stuck close to Karl's side, going so far as to now link her arm with Karl's whose arm was resting limply at his side. A feeling of excitement enveloped Selena at the prospect of breathing in a different type of air, at the change of scenery, and interacting with different people, but she was also deeply afraid of the unknown. After all, all Selena ever knew was Mother Miranda's laboratory, and Karl was her only type of human interaction. Mother Miranda never counted because the woman never bothered to make some form of small talk, only ever speaking to them as if she was making some type of observation or she was talking to herself.
When the trio reached the exit of the winding tunnel a harsh chilly wind greeted them, too strong in fact that Selena had to reach up and pull her hood further down to protect her face.
As they continued walking, Selena relying solely on Karl to guide her, the wind began to lightly die down when they approached the village, and when Selena was able to open her eyes she let out a gasp in awe.
There was snow all around her, covering the whole expanse of the ground and the village. It was Selena's first time seeing such a spectacle, it was her first time seeing real people who weren't monsters! Several times Selena had to catch herself from whispering to Karl, wishing to ask him what everything was, what she was smelling…seeing. Selena, at that moment, was like a kid on Christmas Day, and she just couldn't contain herself as something enticing had caught her attention and it made her mouth salivate as her stomach let out a little growl at the delicious smell.
"Karl, what's that smell?" Selena finally decided to ask Karl who stood a good head taller than Selena. Having hit his growth spurt early on Selena didn't realize till now how much she had to crane her neck back just to look up at him.
"An actual, home-cooked meal." Karl responded as he sent the rarest of smiles directed down at Selena, such emotions he'd never show in Mother Miranda's presence, but this one time he couldn't help it because he, too, could feel his stomach churn when he thought of what the smell could be. "Judging from the smell, I can tell that it's better than the slop we were fed."
"Do you think we'll be able to try some?" Selena asked curiously.
"Sure, unless we're walking to our deaths." Karl jokingly said, though instantly regretting it when he felt Selena stiffen beside him. "I'm joking, buttercup." When Selena didn't respond, Karl let out a sigh, a cloud of white escaping his lips indicating how cold the area was as he reached up to pat Selena's hands assuringly. "I'll get you something better than what we've been eating for the past decade once we do as Mother Miranda asks us to do."
Selena eagerly nodded her head as the two adults continued to follow behind Mother Miranda, having realized that they had walked through the village unnoticed and now stood at the very front of an imposing castle that loomed over them, making them feel incredibly small in its presence.
"You'll have your chance to go exploring." Mother Miranda's voice called back to the two, taking note of their looks of admiration, while Mother Miranda continued to walk without interrupting them. The woman only decided to intervene when she noticed that Karl and Selena were falling behind. "Come along children, don't dawdle."
The trio picked up their pace, though Selena seemed to be having a difficult time traversing through the paths that had snow covering the dirt ground for she was unaccustomed to such terrains.
"Karl, what kind of place is this?" Selena whispered to Karl as they walked into the castle only for him to shake his head from side to side.
"I only briefly was taught about this castle, I can't tell you for certain what this place is," Karl whispered back as they took the first door to the right that led to a makeshift dirt cave that seemed to be loosely secured by wooden planks. Karl seemed to bristle at the sense of danger that this cave gave off, his body coiled and ready should anything decide to attack them, and when they continued further downward underground he looked to Selena in the corner of his eyes. "Stay close to me buttercup." Karl had whispered, only for Selena to grip his arm tighter in response.
Further down, through the winding mineshaft-like tunnel, Selena and Heisenberg were finally led out of the tunnel system that seemed overly complicated. What waited for them on the other side was a half dilapidated eroding structure of what remained of a grandiose church.
"We're here children." Mother Miranda stood in front of the large double doors that led into the church. Mother Miranda dramatically turned around to face the newest addition to her ever-growing family, the fabric of her dress billowing as she turned, opening her arms up to welcome the two officially to the family. "It's time that you meet your siblings."
Behind the doors of that church was our future, and more importantly our 'freedom'. I remember that day so vividly.
Mother Miranda had opened those doors and back then everything had amazed me. Back then I was bewildered by the sudden change in environment and I was growing increasingly overwhelmed. Inside the church, we were introduced to our 'siblings'.
Alcina Dimitrescu, an incredibly tall woman dressed in such an exquisite and extravagant white dress, a bewitching smile directed right at us with amber eyes staring straight into our very souls. Her posture was rigid and proper, exuding such a noble and proud aura, flawless and perfect if we were to judge from her outward appearance. She sat with her back firmly against the back of one of the only giant chairs that seemed to have been made specifically for her.
Donna Beneviento, I remember being incredibly scared of the woman when we first met. Not because she was dressed from head to toe in black with a black veil over her face, but because immediately when we had entered the cathedral her little doll Angie had run up toward us. It wasn't so bad at first until I realized that the little doll running up to me wasn't a real person. Angie's scratchy voice had scared me to a point that I recall clinging on to Karl for dear life.
Moreau Salvatore, out of the two siblings that were present, seemed the most normal and approachable person in the whole room at that time excluding both Karl and myself. Believe it or not, Moreau never used to look like how he looks in the present day, he was just a normal-looking elderly man who seemed mentally younger than he looked. He was still competent enough that he continued to run his clinic to look after the villagers living near and around the reservoir. It was only after Mother Miranda introduced additional parasites into his body, did his body begin to have a negative effect. It permanently transformed him and caused the deformation as well as the age regression we know today. Even now, I still think he's such a wonderful man who looked after me in my younger years, he was just misunderstood and overlooked.
But it was thanks to Karl allowing me to stick beside him that I was able to power through such an important occasion, though at the time we didn't consider it important. To the two of us, we were just meeting who we were told would be our siblings, but to Mother Miranda…it was a test to see if we could handle the duties as well as the monsters that we would be facing. Tested to see if we were worthy to stand by her side while the eyes of our 'siblings' watched our every move.
To this day, I wonder what would've happened had I allowed my childish curiosity and fear to take the forefront. And right off the bat, even if we were years younger than we are now, Alcina and Karl disliked each other the moment their eyes first met.
"You have brought us some interesting new subjects to experiment with. Such adorable little things, Mother Miranda." Alcina, after having been introduced to the two young adults by Mother Miranda, pointed out as she looked at Selena and Karl up and down…watching the two with pure curiosity before her eyes settled on Selena. Everyone present was watching the duo as if they were on display to be bid upon. "It does get quite lonely in my castle, and I have been searching for additional help after all…the company of maids can only go so far. I'd love if that one were to be placed in my care." Alcina's nose scrunched up as her eyes shuffled over to Karl. "Moreau can have that one."
Karl was about to open his mouth to retaliate, never one to think before acting, but it was thanks to Mother Miranda that helped avoid further confrontation…or potentially avoiding losing one of her most successful experiments.
"Alcina, these two aren't new test subjects, they've already undergone the proper and extensive procedures that everyone present has gone through." Mother Miranda stepped forward, moving to stand at the podium at the very front of the church, leaving Karl and Selena in the center of the room under the eyes of all the adults present. "I'd like you all to meet the new additions to the family."
"How exciting!" Angie's raspy voice giggled energetically from her seated position in Donna's lap, the woman seated to the right of Mother Miranda's podium. "New baby sister!"
"Selena Sinclair. Karl Heisenberg." Mother Miranda motioned toward one of the pews situated just opposite of Alcina. "From now on, this is your life. You will remain by my side and reign as Lord and Lady of this region just as your siblings have. Every so often I shall call a meeting and all must answer my summons. These meetings are important so pay close attention, there will be times where I will ask for input or I will simply sit and listen to the updates given by everyone present. What updates exactly, well, in time you will understand but for now I simply ask that you both sit and listen."
Selena and Karl obliged, sitting on the long bench and listened, listened to what the other adults in the room spoke about, and patiently waiting for the meeting to end. The pair paid careful attention to the topic that was continuously changing that at some point the pair grew lost because they weren't sure what exactly it was about. The adults spoke about the village, the mindless puppets they designated those that lived in the village, as well as the results of their current projects. That was something the younger two didn't quite understand but assumed that they were doing the same tests that Mother Miranda had done to them.
"We have now come to the last matter of this meeting." Mother Miranda proclaimed before turning her head to Karl and Selena. "The issue of where you two will be staying." Mother Miranda let out a hum, the golden claws on her fingertips touching the bottom of her chin in thought before her head snapped up as if suddenly remembering something that she had forgotten. "There is a factory just past the ceremony site, if I recall correctly, it had belonged to your family, Heisenberg. It does need a bit of a clean-up after being deserted for so long, all those old war machines and pieces of scrap metal cluttered about the factory need to be disposed of. But with time and the help from the locals-"
"I will stay there…now." Karl interrupted. "A scrapyard it may be, but between ten of your fittest villagers who can get it done in a week or two, I'll get it done in a couple of days."
"…very well." Mother Miranda nodded her head, silently pleased at such confidence, before looking to Selena who was seated next to Karl. "Now where to put you."
"If I may intervene, my offer still stands Mother Miranda." Alcina spoke, poised and dignified, as she bought the long vintage cigarette filter to her blood-red colored lips, taking a slow inhale before the smoke escaped her puckered lips in a thin wisp. "Little Selena is more than welcome to stay at my castle. She will be treated with the utmost care as one of the ladies of the house, and I did so want a little girl to spoil."
"No! Let her stay with us!" Donna, through Angie, argued as the doll tilted her head up to look in Alcina's direction, holding direct eye contact. "She'll have much more fun playing with all my pretty friends!"
"If it's playtime you're offering, little Selena will have much more fun exploring my vast castle and its countless rooms. If you want a playmate, little Selena can go over for visitation while calling my castle her home." Alcina scoffed.
"Selena will be lonely in your dark and dismal castle!" Angie continued to argue. "With us, she can have tea and we'll dress her up to be such a pretty doll."
While Angie and Alcina continued to bicker back and forth, Selena grew anxious. Selena didn't want to be separated from the only person she felt was her best and safest option, but with such strong personalities that Selena wasn't used to, she found it difficult to speak her mind. And as if sensing her nerves, a hand was gently placed on Selena's shoulder causing the young woman to slightly jump in her seat.
The hand belonged to Moreau, the elderly gentleman who had given Selena his best welcoming and encouraging smile, almost urging Selena to speak up before shyly stepping away. Moving closer to stand to Mother Miranda's left as the two continued to observe the two 'older' siblings among them.
With enough courage Selena could muster, she was able to open her mouth and speak without showing an ounce of fear.
"Excuse me." This had ceased all talking as all eyes now zoned in on the blonde woman. At first, Selena had stuttered, but then she composed herself once more and spoke clearly and carefully. "Mother Miranda, I would like to stay with Karl at his family's factory."
"Well," Mother Miranda tilted her head to the side, a bit curious at Selena's request. "If that is what you wish Sinclair. It's only logical, I suppose, considering both you and Heisenberg have been inseparable since-"
"Mother Miranda, forgive me but I must protest, while I have always respected your judgment, just this once I beg you to rethink this decision." Alicia cut in as her eyes turned to look across from her to where Karl and Selena sat. "They may have been together since they were children, you can't overlook the plain and simple fact."
"And that fact being?" Karl mumbled, not expecting an answer or anyone to hear, but it would seem Alcina had as her amber eyes zeroed in on Karl.
"The fact being obvious to everyone in this room!" Alcina huffed before turning back to Mother Miranda. "And it is because of that fact that I must object to our adorable little Selena living with…such a gruff and undisciplined man who is at such an age where he wouldn't be able to control such urges that come with being a young adult male."
"I can't control myself?" Karl balked at such insults. "What are you implying, dear sister? Selena and I have been together since we were children, what difference will living together make?"
"You know exactly what I'm implying. You were both children back then but now you are what I had hoped to be mature and reasonable adults!" Alcina's voice boomed and echoed throughout the cathedral. "And, more so, a young…beautiful woman should never be left alone with a man let alone living with one before marriage. Who knows what kind of…unthinkable things you could do to Selena in her defenseless state."
"For your information, just so you know, to Selena? All your secret underlining meanings are going over her head. No memories of when she was younger or what was normally taught to coming-of-age children." Karl snarked. "But even if you think I am beneath you in education and life, I understand and follow your fancy words perfectly." Karl growled. "To assume that I would do such a thing to my best friend! You have no right to group me with such lowly cretins!"
Alcina scoffed at such a measly challenge. "Are you saying that I have misjudged you?"
"Lady, we just met today, you don't even know me." Karl glared.
"I know your kind." Alcina pointed out causing Karl to coil defensively in his seat.
"My kind?" It took all of Karl's patience to not stand from his seat, though it was also thanks to Selena who had a vice grip on his arm to force him to stay seated beside her. "You know, Alcina-"
"You will address me as Lady Dimitrescu! You insignificant-" Alcina's voice rose in volume, and sadly, Karl simply matched hers with equal pressure and volume, rising to her challenge.
"Insignificant!" Karl brushed Alcina's underlining threats. "You know, Lady big-headed bitch," Karl wasn't oblivious to harsh words, having heard past villagers spew out such profanities before. "if you think that you have me pegged to the tee, then hate to break it to you lady, but so do I. I know you're a pompous, egotistical, rich brat who thinks all is beneath you. News flash sister, we're siblings now. If I am insignificant then so are you."
"Why you little-" Alcina stood to her feet, the vintage cigarette filter snapping in half at the force she applied due to the building anger brought on by Karl's insistent need to fight back against her instead of the usual submission she was used to.
"I share the same sentiment, sister." Karl triumphantly smirked. "After meeting you today I, too, know that I hate your kind."
"My kind?" Alcina took a step forward, triggered after hearing the same words repeated back to her as Selena saw Alcina's finger elongate into sharp claw-like nails. Karl copied the action and met the tall woman's challenge as several metal dowels that were sticking out of the broken concrete around them began to vibrate. "How dare such an insolent boy speak to me in such a way! Has no one taught you common decency? Proper manners!" Alcina and Karl were going back and forth, there seemed to be no end in sight as each seemed ready to continuously insult each other. It was quite different than when Alcina and Angie argued, between Karl and Alcina the previous fight paled in comparison.
"That's enough!" Mother Miranda's outburst, surprisingly, cut through the two feuding siblings with incredibly strong personalities. "I do hope this doesn't become a reoccurring thing between the both of you in the future. I understand the concern and I also understand why it doesn't seem like an issue." Mother Miranda let out a sigh. "Sinclair, I'm afraid I can't allow you to stay confined simply to Heisenberg's factory."
Selena averted her eyes downward dejectedly, the thought of being separated from the only person she knew scared her. Mother Miranda gave it a thought, wondering what to do with Selena to appease all parties before she remembered something that could benefit everyone.
"There is a small town on the West side of the village." Mother Miranda spoke up before Alcina or Karl could lay claim or argue about having Selena stay with either of them. "I cannot allow Sinclair to take up permanent residence at the factory, and she does not yet know her siblings well enough to feel comfortable staying with any of you." Mother Miranda looked to Selena. "If you agree to stay in this little territory, watch over it as your siblings have done with their own humble homes as well as visit your siblings, then I have no problem with what you do in your free time. Whether you decide to get to know your other siblings or spend your time with Heisenberg, it is none of my business so long as you watch and maintain the small little town as well as the people who reside there. The rest of your duties I will inform you later, for now, I think you aren't yet prepared to handle such responsibilities on your own."
Selena gave it a thought, if that was all she needed to do then it should be acceptable right? She spend her free time with Karl so long as she at least visited her other siblings. "…I agree."
Mother Miranda turned to address everyone in the room, her piercing blue eyes staring at everyone present through her mask before saying one final, closing statement. "I trust these terms are sufficient and acceptable."
Mother Miranda's words were law, as the two newer additions to the family observed when no one spoke, only nodded their head at her solution. Once Mother Miranda had come to a final decision there was no arguing with her.
Satisfied, Mother Miranda had called for an end to the meeting before moving over to where Selena and Karl were seated. Mother Miranda had asked Karl if he needed someone to escort him to the factory to which Karl responded that he didn't need any. Karl remembered where the factory was located, sort of, and even if he didn't he was eager to be away from Mother Miranda. If he got lost, he'd consider it taking a long way around, a slight detour to get used to the layout of the village after being away for so long.
Mother Miranda was content with Karl's response and ordered Selena to follow her and Selena immediately got to her feet to follow the woman. Mother Miranda was going to introduce her to the region West of the village.
As they left, Karl noticed Selena had looked back at him, he could tell that she was hesitant to leave due to her nerves. She didn't want to leave him alone and didn't want to be left alone with Mother Miranda. In his own way, Karl nodded his head and motioned for Selena to go…a silent conversation going on between the two that had developed over the years they were stuck in that laboratory. Their own language so to speak that only they would ever understand, unspoken words that spoke volume to just the two of them. Karl was relaying to Selena that everything was going to be alright.
My understanding/interpretation of RE8 lore (lol):
*We know from an Experiment Notes document that there are a few recognizable names on there along with what test subject number they were (Subject 174: Mihai M. Age 21 (maybe Moreau's ancestor?), Subject 177: Bernadette B. Age 21 (Donna's sister as I've found), Subject 188: Alcina D. Age 44 (of course for Dimitrescu and the age is important)). Mother Miranda experimented solely on the children/descendants of the Four Houses so that she can gain control of the whole region, she kept the "successful" descendants around (Dimitrescu, Beneviento, Moreau, and Heisenberg) simply so that they can continue being the region lords but now under her command.
*In 1958 - We know from A Maid's Diary that Alcina was already the Lady of the Castle along with her daughters (Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela).
*According to the Gardener's Diary we know Donna was ostracized by others because of her scar, she locked herself in her room after her parents' death, only talking to Angie. Only after Miranda took her in as an adopted daughter did she finally get the "gift" (cadou). The gardener would plant the yellow flowers on Claudia's grave (1987-1996) indicating that Claudia was already buried.
*In Miranda's Diary she explains that she's gone through hundreds of people to find the perfect vessel, Alcina having come close to perfect but most turned to lycans.
*Umbrella was founded in 1966, which a little before was Spenser's Letter to Mother Miranda notifying her of his finding and calling the foundation 'Umbrella'.
We can safely assume from that that Mother Miranda has been around the longest. The eldest sibling in this family to me is not by age, but by when they were experimented on and "successfully" took the parasite. Alcina was the first "successful" subject, so as a person of 'science' Mother Miranda would look for someone younger than Alcina because of her almost success, but with Donna's mental illness she's a failure. SO maybe younger wasn't the way to go to find a perfect vessel in Mother Miranda's mind so she would try for someone older than Alcina was which then comes Salvatore. His first dose was a small success, but with Miranda's need to find results (as we saw in her lab) she pushed her luck to see what would happen if more parasites were introduced to the body. This caused Salvatore's mutation. Too old would result in Salvatore, a little younger than Alcina would result in Donna, she's tried on babies with no success, 20's yielded no progress, so let's try children which then enters Karl and Selena (and because Karl gives that youngest sibling vibe even if he's old in RE8 lol). Thus we've come to have the complete and final set: the Five Lords and Mother Miranda. We can assume the parasite prolongs life (or gives immortality) so I'm playing with this theory. They're old because of the parasite, Selena and Karl will be introduced to Alcina's daughters when they are successfully created.
Then where does Claudia Beneviento come in since she passed away in 1996? Claudia is neither a sister nor Donna's daughter, possibly someone extremely close to the Beneviento family that resulted in her being buried in that one area surrounded by dolls. Maybe the last relative that was closely related to Donna who loved dolls as much as Donna (since Claudia was so young) hence why there are so many of them at the house? You see, Donna had a sister who suffered a morbid fate. According to some facts I tried to find, there's a slight difference between Japanese and English versions in regards to why Donna acts the way she does as well as her past (EN saying it was her scar that was the main issue, while in JP it says it was because of her parents' death caused by suicide that caused her personality change). Donna's sister's name is Bernadette Beneviento (experimented on around the same time as Alcina as noted in the Experiment Notes). Bernadette's affinity wasn't as high as Donna's thus she died, the parents struck by grief committed suicide leaving Donna alone, and closed off until Mother Miranda began experimenting on Donna as well as giving the puppeteer something she longed for: a family.
TL;DR: The Lords are old. Sibling seniority is based upon when they were experimented on not by actual age (though this can also be debated as well since Alcina was 44 when she was first successful, Donna's sister Bernadette was 21 when Alcina was 44 and when Salvatore was competent he was a doctor and possibly a sailor/fisherman so he's old too). All that above is just my reasoning for them being around for so very long as well as Mother Miranda haha. Thank you for reading xD
If you are enjoying my story and looking forward to more chapters then leave a nice little review, favorite, and follow to let me know =D though it's not mandatory, it's greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone for reading! Sending lots of love and big hugs! See you in the next chapter =)
