Quick "Please read!" AN!: Okay, okay, so I don't want to spoil things, but I feel like you guys are seriously going to hate Chris here. I was thinking about doing a quick flash back chapter to sort of give reason behind why this is happening. It would be mostly fluff, but it's for a non Sterek pairing and I don't know if anyone wants a full chapter of it. The pairing still plays a part later, but is 110% angst and there's a lot less. But I love them and I'm happy to write it if anyone else thinks it'd be fun to get some insight into Chris' side of this. So, please shoot a yes/no response in the reviews. Regardless of the turn out whichever answer outweighs the other within 24 hours of the first review, it'll decide the chapter after next. (I already have the next chapter done, if it's not already here, I'll be posting it after results come back.) If I don't do it now, I'll probably write it later when the pairing turns up. SO, basically it's a question of how long y'all wanna be mad at Chris for. Now, on to reviews, so if you want you can totes skip!
(Also PS- I was gonna do a quick beta read but, I have a headache and I don't want to make you guys wait another 3 days for me to be up to posting this again, so, please ignore any minor typos!)
WillDawg: Tip for reading back that might be helpful in a few chapters: Stiles agreed to try in Lacrosse practice with Scott, and despite his insistence otherwise, he actually did well enough to earn some praise!
PaganButterfly: You are an utter gem. I can't thank you enough, really. This review is just... Wow. I'll definitely be looking back at this when the thought of writing this makes me want to tear my own skin off out of self-deprecation. Thank you so much for understanding. I really didn't want to share that much, but That happened, so here we are. Ideally I'd love it if those who can review easily would, because for some fans just can't either physically or mentally/emotionally, or it's hard to. Even so, getting reviews like this, from fans like you working hard to just read this, it's an honor that can't be put to words. That being said, I can hardly believe I have to point this out, but I'd never be mad at ANY you guys for not review, even those who have the times and stamina and energy and don't. I love you guys for just reading. But it helps me when I get reviews. Some authors aren't as likely to push through depressions and still work on a story after months if they don't have continued support though. And I just really love fellow authors, I want them to be happy and work on things they love. Support your preferred authors for those who can't, guys!
Marsetta: First of all, y'all really need to stop flattering me, I'm getting embarrassed. This review is great, and I love you a lot. This is great. Many hearts to you. And secondly, that is definitely what happened here, the mistake of tone thing. Like I wasn't even "frustrated"? I'm never mad at you guys for not reviewing. I love you guys. You SHOULD review because reviewing is good, and it legit DOES get me to write the things faster (I finished this in like a day, the next took a little longer, but I've been working on this AN for days honestly). I'm never mad though. I was kidding, joking, being jovial, pretending... Which put in context by looking back at my ANs is pretty obvious? I pretend to be mad A LOT. It's like My Thing. And if it was someone new to my fic, or someone I'd never seen review, I probably would've just been like "Lol, Dude, I was kidding, chill." but I expect a little better from people I know have been here throughout, reading a good amount of my ANs. And also, yeah, I didn't mean it and wasn't at all upset, but if an author was upset about it, and said what I said seriously, they'd have every right? I'd defend them 100% in saying that. They work hard to provide a service, with nothing else in return for their work than reviews, and I just? Look man, I love authors, and a lot of people forget that there are people behind their fav fanfics. All I'm trying to say (not directed at you/this review obviously) is let authors get pissed, dudes. Don't get on them about pushing people to review. And obviously, DON'T USE REVIEWS TO YELL AT THEM INSTEAD OF REVIEWING.
Squiggle: Which is precisely why you do not have to worry about reviewing anymore. Feel free to stop or keep reading if you so wish, but you'll no longer be capable of reviewing.

It wasn't long before he was standing in the Argents' backyard, focusing, trying to find any trace of Stiles. He heard his laugh upstairs, but had no time to relax in relief, hearing the movement in the grass across the yard. "Derek... Honestly can't say it's good to finally meet you." Derek couldn't help the anger that creeped up the back of his throat. "Took you longer than I would've thought."
"Stiles didn't send me that text, did he...?" Derek turned toward Argent, taking a second for his eyes to linger on the gun in his relaxed hand. Argent didn't bother to shake his head as he stared Derek down.
"He didn't." He gave a nod of his head as an after thought. "And as you probably know, he's fine..." Derek glanced up, towards the room the three were in. Maybe this wasn't what he thought. Maybe it was just another "talk". Still he eyed Argent carefully.
"If this is about me and Stiles... Like I told his dad, I have no intention of getting Stiles involved with what I am or the problems involved..." To Derek's surprise, the Hunter gave a spiteful laugh.
"I don't give a damn about what you are... I'm more concerned that the poor kid deserves a hell of a lot better than you..." Derek narrowed his eyes in confusion.
"What?" He'd certain thought that enough times himself, but why would Argent say this? More over, why would he trick him into coming here to say it? It didn't make sense. Argent's glare narrowed on him even more, now gaining the company of a barely there smile, as if he has any civility to fake here.
"I've been waiting a long time for this, Derek. Honestly, I always assumed you'd be human... Didn't make any sense that you'd be a wolf too." Derek caught sight of Stiles at the back French doors. Run, he mouthed. Derek didn't realize why, didn't realize exactly what the situation really was until he looked back and Argent's arm was raising the gun. "But a bullet to the brain will still do the job alright..." Water was shooting at them not a second later, giving Derek a chance to get out of the way before Argent had shaken off the distraction and taken fire. The bullet hit a tree, and Derek ran as Stiles had well advised him to, Argent cursing him as he did.
