Chapter 29:

4:38 pm.

"Dammit! Dammit! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!"

The shame. The shame. The shame. THE SHAME!

Chika's heart sinks. Her head filled with irritation. To think that she would sink so low as to receive help from her own savior. It was blasphemy. It was treason. She's done enough for her, Celestia only knows how much Chika has relied on her these past 10 years. It's embarrassing, it's sinful, it's irritating.

"DAMMIT ALL!"

But what can she do? Despite her irritation, she only has an arm and a leg. Keeping balance is already tiring out her abdomen, her remaining leg feels numb from carrying her weight, her arm feels swollen and heavy from throwing the spear from arm strength alone.

"That bi—!"

She feels a presence. The ends of her hair stood up straight as an arrow. She looks up slightly from her feet and sees a shadow. The silhouette is as familiar as the back of her hand.

Chika leaps forward, getting out of the alley and into the streets again just as the fairy's attack strikes down from above to where she stood.

*BAM!*

A bolt of lightning came down from above. Scorching the walls and ground as it electrocutes the cement. Chika rolls, jumps, and flips into the air; landing on one foot on the other side of the street. She looks up, seeing the fairy's 'eyes' locked onto her. She countered the 'stare' with her 'own'.

"TCH!"

Chika clicks her tongue in annoyance. She's right. Chika must concede and wait for the package to arrive. For her beloved, if she could get away from Histoire and leave it up to the Lastation troops, she could fight her again. And hopefully get the book from her.

However, there's a risk that they might do a shit job at it and accidentally destroy the book. It's annoying to rely on people that don't know what they're doing. She could use her position as Oracle but what will that do? They'll just nod and say 'yes' while not completely following her orders.

"—!" she jumps to the right as far as she can.

*BAM!*

Another lightning strikes above. This time much more powerful than the last. She barely avoids the blast and aftershock. She looks around and sees Lastation soldiers at the end of the highway. She turns towards them and hops as fast as she could.

*BAM!* *BAM!*

Before she could even make 2 hops, 2 fireballs suddenly shoot from behind her towards the road in front of her. A large explosion exploded, the fire quickly rises and up spreads. It crawled to the left and the right forming a wall that her way.

"Dammit!"

She quickly looks at the side: another alley in between buildings. She hops towa—!

*BAM!*

"Are you fucking kidding me!?"

The moment she landed halfway towards the alley; a car suddenly came crashing down at the mouth of the alley. It stops almost immediately as soon as it's sides get's stuck in the mouth of the alley, like a plug.

"Kh!" she lands and glares at the fairy.

"—!" in the same moment Chika recognized the color of the fairy's eyes, a bolt of lightning strikes down from above. She leaps forward barely dodging the attack.

*BOOOOOOOM!*

"GIVE ME ROOM TO BRE—!?"

As if ignoring her request, 2 cars rush towards her mid-leap. She plants her spear onto the ground, and pushes herself up, gaining enough height to squeeze through the 2 projectiles rushing towards her.

"—!" she lands and catches her breath.

"Fu—!"

She only took one breath as a stream of water suddenly shot from the side.

4:55 pm.

"It's a trap…"

He knows it's a trap. 5 minutes is a long time to prepare for anything. But then again, what choice does he have? IF is a threat but those things are even more so. Neutralizing her is now a risk if her hypothesis comes true. Killing them first is a risk since it significantly reduces resistance to IF's approach to Lowee. And even then, what guarantee does he have when he launches a strategic nuke at them and they just simply "dodge" it. It's like giving them the go signal to run over to Lastation and eat them all.

"Dammit all…" how many steps is this woman ahead of? How sly is her tongue that she's able to twist everything to her advantage? What kind of twisted world does this girl live that she's able to gamble like this?

If worst comes to worst; he would need to clear out Planeptune to even propose an evacuation of the country. And that is its own can of worms.

And then there's it. The thing that took everything from him. It's an equal amount of threat to him and Lastation. It's obvious, even if he were to throw all the might of Lastation at it, just from watching his men unable to scratch that thing, shows that it's impossible to take it down. And with the Oracle of Leanbox now with the medics, is there any hope for this world?

Is there any hope for Gamindustri at all?

"That sly bitch…!"

"Sir… we got eyes on the truck. No signs of movement yet" his radio

"It's slight. They're under the shade, but I can see some sort of movement. No wind. So definitely not the tree"
