Sora and Toralei Stripe
Outside on the school grounds of Monster High, a picnic has been set up near a tree. One of them, a werecat is practicing her dance routine for a normie. She had doubts about a showcase and the boy talked her into showing him.
Toralei does a quick spin. "And now for the jazz hands," the resident mean ghoul says as she shakes her hands, and she receives some clapping from the only member of her audience. "How was that?" the werecat asks as she sits beside Sora.
"Your dancing is great," he tells her as he takes a bite of his sandwich. "Much better than your singing." Sora gets punched in his shoulder. "Ouch!"
"Watch it!"
"Sorry," the normie rubs his shoulder.
The two sat there in quiet, enjoying their meal. At least Sora was. Toralei has yet to touch her tuna salad.
"Sora, why do you like me?" the werecat asks. Sora, mid-bite just turns to her with his head tilting. "I'm not the nicest ghoul. I've hurt so many people just for my entertainment. Tried breaking up Draculaura and Clawd, stealing Catty's voice. Yet, you asked me out. I figured a person like you would avoid someone with Darkness in their heart."
Sora chuckled. "We all have a little bit of darkness in our hearts. Even me," he admits as he sets his sandwich down. "I've fallen deep into it. Having Darkness in your heart does not mean absence of Light. For even in the deepest Darkness, there is always Light. I know you have Light. I've seen it. You may have done bad things, but you've also done good. Stopping Nefera from sabotaging the Fear Off, putting on a circus show to save the arts program, you even tried helping Lagoona with her stage fright," the normie grabs Toralei's hand. "I've known others who fell to the Darkness only to walk back into the Light. You have a mischievous side, albeit a little mean sometime. But that never stops you from being a good person."
The werecat's only response was to kiss the boy. "Thanks," she then leans on his shoulder. "Does this mean I have to stop being ambitious?"
"No," Sora laughs.
"How about pranks?"
"As long as they're not mean."
"What if they deserve it?"
"Toralei!"
"Ugh! Fine."
