Sora and Ghoulia Yelps
Ghoulia points down at the paper before looking up at Sora.
The normie's eyes squint at the paper. He then sticks his tongue out as he writes on it.
The zombie has tutored many kids before, but none where as challenging as this one.
"I get it now!" Sora announces as scribbles something down. "After carrying the two and bring this over there that makes the answer x equals twenty-three," he shows her the paper.
Ghoulia looks over the question and double checked to make sure he properly showed his work. Miraculously, he has for once. She nods.
"Yes!" he pumps his fist in the air.
The zombie questions him.
The boy scratches the side of his head, "Well, you see. The reason I'm not so good is because for over two years I've been traveling. Saving worlds doesn't really leave time for school. Kinda nice being back in one."
The ghoul nods, approving that logic being reasonable. She then tells the boy that they can continue this another day.
"Sweet!" he's relieved that they're done early for once. The boy gathers his own things, and they walk out of the library. Once they were out, Sora turns to the zombie, "Hey! I've been practicing my zombish. Mind if I try it out." After getting a nod of approval. The normie clears out his throat before releasing a few moans and groans.
Hearing what he said, Ghoulia's face reddens. She's unsure of what to say to that.
Noticing this, Sora says. "Did I say something wrong? Ugh! I thought I was saying thanks. I didn't say something stupid, did I?"
Ghoulia quickly excused herself.
.oOo.
"He said what again?" Cleo looks at her best friend in disbelief and jaw dropped.
Ghoulia repeats what she told the mummy.
"Did you actually consider it? And what about Slow Mo? I thought you two were giving that long distance relationship thing a try?"
It's true that Slow Mo and his family had moved due to his dad's job. They wanted to make it work but they barely lasted a month.
Ghoulia tells Cleo this.
The mummy nods. "I guess that would make things difficult. So, what are you going to do?"
The zombie then relays to her.
"You sure that he had no idea what he said?" the de Nile receives a nod. "But what if he really did know and meant it? What then?"
Ghoulia thinks for a moment on the thoughts. Sora is an incredible person and tends to be tactical in battle. But after tutoring him for months, the zombie finds it more believable that the boy said the wrong thing than that.
She then felt someone grabbing her shoulders. "C'mon, Ghoulia. You need to get ready," Cleo pushes her. "I'll call up the Ghoul Squad."
.oOo.
Here Ghoulia stands in front of the local Die-ner. She is wearing not the nicest dress, but better than what she is used to. It was simple white top with black polka dots and a simple red skirt. That's often how she likes her life. Simple. The one thing Sora is not.
The zombie looks at her iCoffin to check the time and sees that it's well past the given time. With a heavy sigh, the ghoul turns to leave only to bump into someone. Ghoulia falls to the sidewalk and lost her glasses. She feels around trying to find them.
"Here you go," a familiar voice said, and a hand is holding the zombie's glasses in front of her.
When Ghoulia puts them back on, her eyes widen in disbelief as her vision clears.
Sora smiles at her. "Surprised to see me? Sorry for walking right into you."
The zombie starts questioning him.
"That's because I didn't have any idea what I said," the boy rubs the back of his head. "After you took off like that, I was worried about what I might've said so I asked Headmistress Bloodgood. She gave me half the translation. Though, she seemed amused about what she didn't tell me," the keybearer ends with a laugh. "What did I say anyway?"
At the question, Ghoulia's face redden. She turns her head way from him and lets out a low moan.
"So, you're not gonna tell me?"
Ghoulia responds before she questions.
"Well, I thought that since I asked you out by accident, I should keep my word. You like smoothies, right?" Sora holds an arm out. "My treat."
The zombie smiles as she accepts the offer and the two walk into the Die-ner.
