Sora and Ghoulia Yelps Part 2

"Alright class!" Mr. Hackington addresses everyone. "For this project everyone needs to pair up. Now, hurry! Find your partners before I decide to fail ya!"

Everyone quickly rises out of their seats and as the most likely scenario happens. Either the partners were best friends or ghoulfriend and boofriend.

Ghoulia turns to her right to address Sora, only to find the Normie's usual seat empty. Since their first date, he had started sitting next to the ghoul in every class they shared. She quickly jolts her head around, looking for the Normie. The Zombie finds him across the room talking to a certain Yeti.

"Hey, Abbey! Want to be partners?"

"Meh! I have no problem with it."

"Good," Sora nods and the bell rings just a moment after that. "Well, see you back home."

With that, everyone starts exiting the room.

Ghoulia clenches her fist before leaving her seat.

.oOo.

In the gym during Fear practice, Cleo is going over the routine. "This should be perfect but it's anything but!" the mummy snaps her fingers. "We'll be doing new drills," she holds her hand out waiting for something. After a few moments, the ghoul realized nothing happened. "Ghoulia?" the entire Fear Squad turns to find the Zombie ghoul sitting on the bleachers with a clipboard and slouching over into her arms.

"What's wrong with Ghoulia?" Frankie asks.

With a sigh, Cleo turns to her squad. "Sora ditched her when it came picking partners for the Mad Science Project."

"Again!?" Draculaura nearly shouts.

"Yeah, again!" Clawdeen growls. "I was there. That normie has a lot of nerve. He took off with Abbey, sticking Ghoulia with Heath."

Ghoulia lets out a moan.

"Aw, Ghoulia," Frankie walks up to the Zombie to comfort her. "I'm sure that's not true. Perhaps they partnered up because they live in the same house? It would make it easier for them to work together. Not everyone can adjust their after-school schedule. All that matters is that as your Boofriend, he cares about you."

The Zombie sits there in silence before letting out a groan.

The entire squid lets out a resounding "What!"

Draculaura looks at her in disbelieve. "So, you never used the B word. Has he at least used the G word?" the vampire receives a headshake at that.

"Then that's the problem," Cleo examines her nails. "It's not a dead deal unless one of you address it. Until then, both you and Sora are free to explore other options. You just need to get him, sit him down, and set that boy straight."

"When would be a good time for her to do that?" Clawdeen asks.

It was that moment that the gym doors burst open and Heath comes running up to the Zombie. "Hey, Ghoulia. I just charmed Abbey into a double study date tonight. We are to meet at Bloodgood's after school," the Fire Elemental then runs out shouting. "I Finally have a shot!"

The squad just stared at the doors as they closed. Cleo then turns to the rest of the ghouls. "She'll have a chance tonight."

.oOo.

Ghoulia and Heath now stands in front of Bloodgood Manor. The Zombie knew that the Headmistress had some wealth but had no idea that the woman lived somewhere this extravagant.

"Come on!" Heath was quick to head up the steps. "Can't keep Abbey waiting," as he said this, the Fire Elemental was unaware that the front door has been opened by the owner of the Mansion. He rushes past her, slips on a rug, slides across the room, and into a pedestal. The pedestal shakes and the very expensive looking vase falls off. Luckily, a pair of hands caught it.

"That was a close one," Sora sighs as he sets the expensive décor back on its resting place as Abbey walks down the staircase.

Bloodgood calls out. "Heath! I would wish for you to refrain from breaking anything in my home and I insist you stay cool," she briefly glares before turning to Ghoulia and her charges. "I have a few errands to run. I don't mind if you hang out but I prefer that you all finish your homework first. I wish you all a good evening," with that, the woman leaves.

After a few moments, Heath pumps his fist in the air. "Yes! Let's get this party started!" then a cold hand grabs his ear.

"No!" Abbey states. "There will be no partying."

"Aw, come on," the Elemental whines. "Not even a small one."

Sora shakes his head. "Afraid not, Heath. Bloodgood is fine with us being kids, but I know for a fact that she would be mad when she finds out we threw a party."

Heath gains a big smile. "You mean if, she finds out. Ow!" he gets smacked in the back if his head from the Yeti. "Okay, okay!" the Elemental rubs his now sore head. "No party. Could we at least have snacks and listen to music or something?"

Abbey thought for a moment before nodding. "I am okay with that."

Heath once again pumps his fist in the air, "Yes!"

The Yeti walks past him and up the stairs. "After homework."

That causes him to slouch. "Aw!" and he follows her up the stairs as does Sora and Ghoulia.

.oOo.

The group is now sitting in the Manor's personal library.

"How about this one?" Sora holds a book to the Yeti.

Abbey nods her head in approval. "Not bad idea. Might at least get a B."

Ghoulia glances up from her book with a slight glare. Seeing those to working so well together upsets the Zombie. She lets out a low moan.

"Woah!" Heath looks away from his comic-I mean, research notes. "Way to rub it in. Yeah, you definitely can get an A plus on this assignment. Everyone knows that."

"Are you alright, Ghoulia?" the Normie tilts his head. "You have been acting different lately. Is there a problem?"

The Zombie had it and she slams her fists on the table while releasing various lout groans and moans. She relays about how upset she is at the boy and how he seemingly refuses to partner up with her in any of their classes. She can feel tears starting to go down her cheeks during all this. The ghoul even added how she though he actually cared for her.

"I do care for you. Which is why I don't partner up with you," he confesses.

Ghoulia blinks. "Huh?"

"You are the smartest ghoul I know. That anybody knows. I knew that if I partner up with you for any assignment, many of our classmates would figure that I'm with you just to get a better grade," Sora shrugs. "I know I can handle those rumors. But I didn't want to put you in the middle of any of that. I was afraid that somebody would give you a hard time for it."

Ghoulia groans, asking why he didn't say anything before.

The Normie was about to answer when he is interrupted by the Yeti.

"Let me explain. Sora is like newborn yak," Abbey starts. "He tends to be simple minded and does not always know any better."

"Hey!" the spiky haired kid shouts.

"He does things he truly believes is better for others without thought but does not always think things through with brain. At same time, you also are problem, Ghoulia," Abbey accuses the Zombie. "If you had worries, then you should have voiced yourself. You cannot simply expect him to read your mind. Only Scarah can do so."

Ghoulia then moans.

That confuses the snow ghoul. "What about me and Sora?" she receives a low groan. "I do love Sora but not in that way," she looks over at the Normie. "He is more like Little Brother."

"Little?" Sora questions. "But we're the same age!"

At this, Abbey gains a small smirk. "Perhaps. But I am taller."

The Normie slumps at that before glancing back up at the Zombie. "Look, Ghoulia. I'm sorry," he scratches the side of his head. "Guess I should have explained myself clearly? I haven't been treating my Ghoulfriend very well, have I?"

Ghoulia's eyes widen as she lets out a happy groan.

"Of course I used the G word. Why wouldn't I?" he takes her hand. "I am your Boyfriend, er, Boofriend after all."

The Zombie happily agrees.

Abbey looks upon them with an approving nod. "As I always say. Love is no game," she stands so she could stretch. "I think we deserve break. How about a boovie?"

.oOo.

When Bloodgood returned home, she finds her students in the living area watching tv. They're all sharing a couch with Ghoulia is leaning into Sora's side on one end, Heath in the middle, and Abbey on the other end.

"Have you all finished your homework?" the head of the Manor asks.

"Not yet," Sora answers. "We're just in the middle of a short break. We'll get back to it after the boovie."

"Very well," with that the women leaves the children alone.

After a moment of silence, Sora speaks up again. "I'm thinking about asking Mr. Hackington if it's alright to switch partners. If that's alright with you, Ghoulia," he then turns to Yeti. "And of course you, Abbey."

"I do not mind," Abbey shrugs. "I can probably handle Heath better anyway."

"Hey!" the yellow teen shouts.

The Normie turns back to Ghoulia. "So, what do you think?"

The Zombie just smiles and plants a kiss on his cheek as a response and they all return to the boovie.

Heath slowly scoots his way towards Abbey and pretends to yawn as he reaches an arm over Abbey's shoulders. The Yeti quickly snaps her head at him with a glare. The Elemental can feel the sweet dropping from his forehead. He goes to remove his arm, only to find that it's held in place by a cold firm hand. The same hand carefully lowers his arm down to let it rest on the ghoul's shoulder.

The Elemental blinks for a moment before smiling and whispers a "Score!" and his hair starts smoking.

"Cool down and watch boovie," Abbey tells him. "Do not want to set of smoke detector."
