It took her a few seconds to realize that it wasn't his usual voice. She didn't remember having the tone of a newborn. But there was no mistaking that high-pitched voice. And when giant hands grabbed her to clean her and then put her in her new mother's arms, she wished she had teeth to utter the world's biggest swear word.
Arya Stark, she was called Arya Stark even in her new life. What were the odds. She wanted to cry with joy at hearing those familiar words from her mother's mouth. Finally, something was going her way.
Her joy was quickly drowned out by the automatic glass doors and flying coffins that greeted her as she left the hospital.
