Arya would have liked to go directly to the place indicated on the map,but she was realistic. She was going to have a hard time getting rid of her bodyguards. She was convinced that at least one of them was wearing a sandevistan
Her father had become paranoid after the 6th Street gang attack and she had no intention of going to Watson with company.
Arya settled into a routine.
The woman was taller than her. It was not difficult, her small size had accompanied her in her new life. She saw the fist coming and dodged then kicked her opponent's calf muscles, another punch and she dodged it again, then kicked her opponent again in the same spot. Then the woman seemed to realize what type of opposition she was facing and kicked her midsection with a kick that knocked Arya to the ground. If it was a fight of strength, she would lose every time. That's why she relies on her opponent's weak points. Arya stands up and resumes her position. Again she dodged, again she struck.
She had quickly understood that the woman did not know how to protect her lower limbs and using a low kick several times gave results. When she saw the woman wince in pain she knew she had won. The woman again tried to kick her away but Arya was ready. She dodged the blow and hit the support leg that she had weakened before.
The woman fell to the ground and disappeared.
"Hand-to-hand combat module 3 completed."
Arya closed her eyes and when she opened them she found herself lying in her bed.
She observed the time out of the corner of her eye. It was 10 a.m.
She sighed and got up from the bed, looking around her room in disgust.
Clothes were strewn on the floor. She took the laundry in her arms and put it in the washing machine. The machine would wash and dry his clothes automatically and they would come out smelling minty. She put on shorts and a tank top before heading out.
When the door was opened, a slight grimace appeared on her face. She knew that when she turned her head she would see people sitting on a sofa, lost in a sensory dance or drugged. She was used to seeing the misery of the citizens of night city.
She approached near the gate, and was relieved to see the elevator on her floor. The city passed rapidly before his eyes. She was used to buildings blocking out the daylight and if she didn't make the effort to look up at the sky she would never know if it was day or night. Arrived at the parking lot, she smiles when she sees her motorcycle. She had suffered from the bullets but her father immediately had her repaired. As she mounted her motorbike, she ignored the four men who were also getting on their respective motorbikes.
Then she drove off.
She slalomed between the vehicles, but obeyed the traffic lights. She had already seen pedestrians trying to cross when the lights were green, the result had not been very pretty. The people of Night city generally respected traffic lights and crosswalks because their lives were at stake. In a lawless city, Arya was surprised at how much drivers respected the lights.
Corpo plaza was always clean unlike the rest of town. Night city was really a nice city for rich people. Arya stopped in front of a gymnasium, above which the words militech were written. Two men in combat gear watched him before stepping aside. She put her weapon in one of the many lockers hanging on the wall and went to the combat room. There were always people in the room and the first time she entered she had attracted attention.
A muscular man approached her when she started punching the bags. He watched her punches, nodded, and went back to his own bag. No one had approached her since. She was certain that somewhere she had passed a test.
At least no one had approached him in the gym.
The building had a swimming pool. The first time Arya saw the Olympic-size pool, her eyes widened. The next day she bought herself a bathing suit from one of the vending machines in the building and jumped into the water. She had swum for five minutes before realizing someone was laughing at her. It was the same man who had observed him in front of the bag. He dove next to her and began to swim. He stopped in the middle of the pool and gave her a smirk. Arya frowned seeing the challenge for what it was and followed it. She had despite herself learned through her opponent's moves and improved her technique. He had become her pool buddy and teacher. Even though he never spoke and never gave her his name.
Members of militech had their quirks.
After spending two hours in the gym, Arya went to a Tom's dinner, she loved pineapple pizza much to her mother's horror. If she didn't want pizza she went to a noodle stand. She always felt like she was taking a gamble when she bought her meals near a street vendor.
She had decided to buy some noodles that day when a figure lying on the ground in an alley caught her attention. It wasn't that rare to find bodies in this town. But she couldn't help but shiver when she saw the body of a young woman with her arms crossed over her chest. Her ocular system had been torn out. Nothing strange, there were a lot of thieves in Night city. What was more disturbing was the fact that her eyeballs were in her hands. She would have seen everything in this town.
She didn't know why but this scene gave her a bad feeling.
