"No one yet."
" Dad!" Arya said indignantly, thinking about what she had just seen.
"Arya, we have to act carefully. This casino is owned by a corporation. If we touch them..."
Arya started walking in a circle.
"So what? We give up?"
"My dear daughter, I said that we will not kill anyone. But I did not say that someone will not do it for us. Who do you think can put an end to this cruelty with impunity."
Arya then understood what he meant
"Another corporation."
Campo gave her a predatory smile.
"It's simply enough that this information reaches the right ears. Without involving us any further."
"How are we going to do this?"
"Tell me Arya, do you like video games?"
"What?"
This conversation had taken place a week before and she was holding a brand new virtual headset in her hands. Her eyebrowsraised at the accompanying game.
"Game of the Golden Throne, a fantastic adventure in a medieval world."
" Really?"
This world was making fun of her.
After mumbling for a few minutes about the old gods, she lay down on her bed and put on the helmet.
When she opened her eyes, she was floating in mist. Then slowly the mist dissipated.
"A hundred years ago darkness invaded the world of Etherion. Monsters invaded the plains, the mountains, the forests. No one was spared. When seven heroes appeared."
Seven figures appeared. Each in a different pose.
"The Righteous Paladin of the Sacred Lands"
"The Master of the Spear of the Whirlwind Islands"
"The Archer of the Fossil Forest"
"The Mage of the Central Lands"
"The Skin Change of the Nordic Lands"
"The Priestess of the Golden Alliance"
"The Monarch"
"These seven assembled a gigantic army, and destroyed the darkness.
Everyone then returned to their lands. Except for the monarch sitting on his golden throne he ensured that the darkness did not resurface. Then one day he disappeared, leaving the golden throne empty. Darkness slowly reappeared, and a merciless competition took place to choose the next monarch. Choose a class like the seven before and enter the game of throne. Become the light in the darkness, become the lord of the golden throne."
The silhouettes of the heroes lit up except that of the monarch who disappeared into the mist.
Without hesitation, she walked towards a figure.
The Skin Changer lit up and then the figure took the form of Arya.
"You've chosen the Skin Changer. Now customize your character."
There weren't many golden rabbits around at this time of day. These little creatures preferred to come out at night. But one of them decided to take the risk. Slowly he poked his head out of his den, scanned the surroundings and decided to risk a little exit.
When suddenly a gigantic shadow blocked his view. He slowly looked up and met the monster's eyes. But before he had time to think about fleeing, his head had already left his body.
The wolf looked nonchalantly at what was left of his prey, then suddenly his body transformed and in a few seconds a young girl stood in his place. She wore mismatched light armor and sighed.
"Why are these stupid rabbits so hard to find. At least I reachedlevel 10, hooray Arya." She said without much enthusiasm.
To be honest, she loved this game, the omnipresent nature, the welcoming cold of the Nordic Lands. But she was a little tired of playing delivery boy.
The only thing that made it more interesting was that she could change into a wolf. She would have liked to have Nymeria by her side and run with her.
She arrived at the village of Wintersmall before nightfall. Her Class gave her a speed boost.
She was always amazed at how unrealistic it was. When had the streets been so clean? There was the smell of snow and trees, but the smell of manure and sweat was absent.
She was surprised to see how many times a week her mother expected her to wash. Today she wasn't sure she could go a month without seeing a shower.
She walked towards a man who was busy skinning a bear.
Every time she met him he looked like he was skinning a bear.
"I have your rabbits." She said giving him the 20 rabbits she had killed.
"Very good, it's a quality fur. Ah, those damn rabbits, I spent many years hunting them, you know. I even gave my wife a jacket made of their fur to propose to her. Worst decision of my life."
"Is it now possible to know how to get out of this village ?" Arya said, trying to hide her exasperation. She didn't need to see a decline in intimacy with him. The alchemist was already refusing her in his store. How was she supposed to know it was a pet snake ?
Stupid game.
The village was a beginner's area. Unlike other games she couldn't leave the area before reaching level 10 and getting a quest from a villager that takes her outside of thevillage.
"You want to leave the village, even though it is such a peaceful place, you do not know the dangers that await you outside..."
Please tell her that she didn't do this quest for nothing. There were only so many times that she would agree to milk the neighbor's cows, deliver a handkerchief lovingly embroidered by a secret admirer to a merchant's son, and chop wood. How much wood did they actually need?
"However, I understand your ambition and wanderlust. I was once young too, you know. Maybe I have something that could lead you to the city."
Finally , Arya thought when a bell started to ring.
"Villagers, a horde of angry golden rabbits is approaching the village! Prepare your weapons!"
Really? NOW ?
"Can I still have this quest?" she asked but the man had already grabbed the ax and rushed towards the horde.
"Wait! I need this damn quest!"
Your relationship with the tanner Edward has gone from friendly to neutral.
"Oh Madre de Dios!"
At the same moment the tanner's head rolled at her feet.
Resurrection unavailable for tanner Edward, you are not a paladin or priestess.
It is not recommended to disconnect during an event. Would you like to continue?
"Mierda"
After defeating the Rabbit King, Arya was finally able to leave the village. The mayor asked her to deliver the king's paw to the lord of a neighboring town so that he could send more troops to protect the village.
She decided to take a break to eat her dinner withher parents.
"Dad, what level do I have to reach again to join the guild you told me about?"
"I believe they only accept applications from level 100."
"Arya, your fork is all crooked! Be more careful!" said his mother.
"Sorry..."
