Chapter 10:
The Capital of the dead

Tala Village, Boar hat
After their run in with King everyone returned to the Boar hat along with Ellen and her brother Luigi. Currently Ban was cooking something for the kids as they sat at the counter watching Ban cook. Elsewhere Meliodas, Lucy and Elizabeth sat near a window with Diane looking through it.
"So, what does King have against Ban anyway?" Asked Lucy as she thought they were teammates. Sure she seen Natsu and Gray fight a lot but they've never tried to kill each other.
"I don't know. They seemed like they got along very well." Said Meliodas as he remembered one-time Ban stole all those stuffed dolls and King returned them all.
"And king was never one to go for the kill like that." Added Diane as she was worried about King.
It was then that Ban finished cooking and presented his dishes to the kids.
"All right order up!" said Ban as the kids drooled at the sight of the food.
"It smells so good!" Said Elizabeth as she looked at the food.
"Right?" Said Meliodas as Ban was always a great chef.
"Anything you don't eat goes to the pig." Ban told them as Hawk was drooling at the thought of eating that food.
"Time to dig in!" The kids said as they started to eat.
"Save… Save some for me!" Said Hawk as he saw the kids devour the food.
"But are you sure it's ok?" Asked Luigi as he paused eating. "We don't have any money."
"It's called give and take." Said Ban as he sat down in front of them. "Tell me where this Capital of the dead is."
"But, Ban we already found King." Interjected Meliodas. "We don't need to go there anymore."
"There's no way that was King." Said Ban with a deadpan face.
"It was." Argued Meliodas.
"Was not."
"Was too."
"Was not."
"You guys want to go to the Capital of the dead too?" Asked Luigi causing the two to stop arguing as they looked at him confused.
"Too?" They both said at the same time as Luigi nodded.
"That kid from before asked us a bunch of times too. He wanted to get to the Capital of the dead really bad." Explained Luigi as everyone was shocked to hear this.
"King's also trying to get to the Capital of dead?" Asked a confused Diane as she voiced everyone's question.
"A couple of days ago he came to our village, looking for the way into the Capital of the dead." Explained Luigi as this made everyone think.
"If he's been looking for days now, does that mean the grave's really remote or something?" Asked Hawk confused.
"No, it probably means you mean some sort of key or guide to reach it." Explained Lucy as she was used to gates to other worlds.
"She right, it's right around here." Luigi told them as some of them were confused.
"What does he mean by that?" Asked Diane trying to understand.
"The entrance to the capital of the dead is in this village. But you can't get there just because you want to." Explained Luigi confusing everyone more, except Lucy.
"I've got no interest in riddles." Said Ban getting annoyed.
"What he means is there are conditions that must be meet in order to enter the Capital." Said Lucy as Elizabeth need to know something.
"How do you know all this Lucy?" She asked her friend.
"When I summon my spirits, they come by a gate. But for some of them they can't appear on certain days or they can only be summoned in a certain element. If I try on a day they can't be summoned on or without the element they won't come." Lucy explained to them as they understood her magic better.
"I didn't realize your magic was so complex." Said Diane as she never would have guessed that.
"She's right. The Capital of the dead isn't a gravesite. It's a country inhabited by people who have died." Explained Luigi
"So basically, it's the afterlife?" Summarized Meliodas as he wasn't sure himself.
"Lucy do you know how to get to a place like that?" Asked Elizabeth hoping she had the answer.
"No." Said Lucy as she added. "I've only dealt with summoning others to me, not summoning myself to other locations."
Hearing that Ban looked at the kids. "Have you been there yourself?" He asked them curiously.
"No way! It's just a superstition." Said Luigi as he shook his head no, as he then added. "But sometimes travelers and rich folk catch wind of the stories and come by. That's how this village even got started."
"But we're not trying to put ourselves in the afterlife, are we?" Asked Elizabeth as they had many tasks in the world of the living to complete.
"Precious memories shared with the deceased will lead you to the capital." Ellen suddenly said. "That's what the old man next door would always say."
Hearing that seemed to strike a chord with Ban as Ellen spoke up. "I'm sorry, but that's all we know."
Ban then reached over and patted Ellen on the head. "Thanks Elaine." Ban told her as he added. "That information was more than enough to cover your meal. But there's still some on your plate."
"Um… My name's Ellen." Said Ellen as she wondered why Ban called her Elaine.
"Oops, my bad. Ellen, it is!" Said Ban as Lucy gave him an odd look.
"Hey, why do you suppose King wants to get into the capital of the dead so bad anyway?" Asked Hawk as that was a good point.
"Good question." Admitted Meliodas as he wasn't sure either. "I guess we'll find out once we get there."
"Still I wonder why King ran off like that?" Asked Diane as it confused her.
But little did anyone knew they were being spied upon. Hiding in some bushes and trees near the Boar hat was the hound with King. The hound went back into the foliage as it saw King hugging his pillow.
"I'm so Stupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid!" Cried out King. "I totally made it look like I ran away because it saw Diane! But I couldn't help it! Hearing her say that right away."
King then raised his head as a blush was on his face.
"That Diane! She's as cute as ever! What if I totally gave away how I feel about her?!" Gushed King as he flew around in circles
"What should I do?!" King asked his canine friend who only tilted his head confused.
"Then there's the captain. He hasn't changed at all in ten years. It's too much how little he changed." Said King as he remembered how Meliodas looked ten years ago to now.
"I can't let them be tricked by Ban. By that monster!" Growled out King as his hatred for Ban was strong. But then he remembered what Lucy said and the magic she used.
"That girl she used Celestial spirt magic." King said to himself out loud. "I thought that magic was a fairy tale."
The hound then barked as King looked at him.
"You may be right Oslo." Said King as he understood the now identified Oslo. "But that won't change how I feel about Ban!"
"Ban, I will never forgive you." Said King as his fingers dug into his pillow.
Then Oslo started to bark making King wonder what he saw as he flew over and looked through the bushes. Looking down he was everyone minus the kids standing there.
"Apparently the entrance is right around here. But it's just a superstition, right?" Asked Diane as she looked around and saw nothing.
"Assuming there even is a capital of the dead, are we saying we're willing to pass on into the afterlife?" Asked Hawk as he wasn't sure about this.
"You can only get there if you die." Said Meliodas as he put his fist into his hand.
"Are you an idiot!" Cried out Hawk as he didn't want to die.
"Precious memories shared with the deceased will lead us, didn't she say. I'd love to see my mother. She passed away before I could remember her" Said Elizabeth as Lucy then got a far-off look in her eyes as she though about her mother.
"Then we're screwed." Said Hawk bluntly.
"I guess you're right. Seeing as how I have no memories of her. What about you Lucy?" Asked Elizabeth as she saw the Look on Lucy's face.
"Lucy?" Asked Elizabeth with some worry.
Hearing her name twice Lucy came out of her thoughts. "Huh, sorry what were you saying?" Lucy asked her not knowing what they were saying.
"Do you have anyone you want to see?" Elizabeth asked her a little worried for her.
"Yeah, my mother she died when I was young." Admitted Lucy as she would love to see her again, but there was one problem. "But she died in my world, not here."
Elizabeth saw the sadness on Lucy's face and hugged her. Lucy then hugged her back as tears started to form in her eyes. Lucy missed her mother so much. There was so much she wanted to tell her and such, but now she'll never have the chance to.
"Oh, would you look at that?" Said Meliodas as Elizabeth and Lucy broke their hug and saw flowers all around them.
"What do you suppose is with these flowers?" Asked Elizabeth as she kneeled down to touch one.
"How did these suddenly grow?" Asked Lucy as she wondered if an enemy was nearby.
"Who cares they're just flowers." Said Hawk. "Eating them won't satisfy my hunger."
Hawk then breathed on a flower as the petals went flying, but not just that flower, but all of them. Everyone watched as a cyclone of pedal surrounded them. King watched this as he knew what was happening as he quickly flew towards the cyclone of pedals.
Inside the cyclone no one could see anything then the pedals started to disappear, and everyone was shocked at what they saw.
Gone was the village and before them were glorious green crystals of all shapes and sizes.
"Captain." Said Diane as she looked around.
"I know." Said Meliodas as he knew where he was.
'No doubt about it.' Thought King as he hid behind a large crystal near them. 'This is the Capital of the dead.'
'How can this be? I've tried countless times to get here, but never got in. Was one of their memories what opened the path?' Thought King as he wondered who.
"I wonder who's memory brought us here?" Asked Elizabeth as she looked around in awe.
"No idea." Said Meliodas.
"Me neither." Added Diane
Lucy then looked at Ban as she saw the look on his face as she got an idea but kept quite about it in case she was wrong.
Then for no reason Ban shoot off surprising everyone.
"Ban!?" Yelled Meliodas as Ban didn't stop. Then to their shock King went flying by them as well.
"King!?" Said Diane in surprise as King followed Ban.
"Is that King? He nothing like his wanted poster." Asked Elizabeth in confusion.
"He took off after Ban. They're most likely going to fight again." Said Lucy wondering what Ban did to King.
"What should we do, Captain?" Asked Diane as she wasn't sure what to do.
"Go after them I guess." Was all Meliodas could think to do. And with that they raced after Ban and King.
Meanwhile Ban was running at incredible speeds as he jumped form crystal to crystal as King followed him as best as he could.
"I won't let you get away!" The two said at the same time, but for different reasons.

Meanwhile back in the world of the living both Ellen and Luigi looked at where the Sins disappeared from. But they failed to see another person walking up to them.
The person was a young female with a slim build and long black hair with a pink hairband on top. Her eyes looked closed, but they were actually very narrow. She wore single white one-piece suit with a small white coat. The only amour she had on was some gloves and knee protectors. And finally, she wore high heel boots. On her waist she had a rapier.
"I see. So, the Capital of the dead does exist." Said the knight causing the kids to turn around and look at her as she smiled at them.
"The Seven deadly sins just went to the Capital of the dead." Continued the girl as the kids were getting sacred.
"Who are you?" Asked Ellen with fear in her voice.
"Don't tell me you're a holy kni…" But as Luigi spoke the girl suddenly grabbed both their throats and started to choke them.
"If you would be so kind as to tell me the way to the capital of dead." Said the knight as if she wasn't choking to kids before her.
"W… we're not telling you anything." Said Luigi as he struggled to talk let alone breath.
"Brother." Said Ellen weakly. "I can't breathe."
Hearing the Luigi did the only thing he could. "Precious memories shared with the deceased will lead you to the capital." He told her as the knight was confused.
"I'm afraid I don't quite understand." She told them as her grip never changed.
"We don't either! Nobody really knows about where people go when they die!" Luigi told her as the knight thought about it.
"I see. Thank you." She told them as she then dropped both of them. Then to the kid's horror she raised her hand and made it look like she was going to pierce them with her hand. The next thing anyone knew there was the sound of flesh being cut open.

"King!"
"King!"
"Ban!"
"Where did those two go!?" Asked Diane as she and the others continued to search for Ban and King with no luck. Currently everyone was Crystal bridge as they continued their search.
"I gotta say, for the Capital of the dead, I haven't seen a single ghost." Said Hawk as he wondered why it was called the Capital of the dead when they haven't seen anyone.
"Maybe that's a good thing." Lucy told him as she was getting a little spooked at how quite it was.
"Meliodas why do you think King went after Ban?" Asked Elizabeth curious to what the reason could be.
"I'm wondering about that two." Admitted Meliodas as he'd never seen the two fight like this before. "But first, who was Ban gong after?"
Hearing that Elizabeth, Hawk and Lucy all stopped as they felt chills go up their spines.
At the same time with Ban he continued running forward as King was hot on his trail.
"Ban! Don't think you can escape me!" Said King as he flew on his pillow.
King then speed up as he flew before Ban and landed before him.
"You again? You king impersonator!" Said Ban annoyed as he was done with this guy.
"King impersonator?" Repeated King confused.
"Yep." Said Ban.
"For your information I'm the real King." King told him annoyed that Ban thought he was some impersonator.
"Look I'm busy. Shoo now. Shoo!" Said Ban as he made the shoo gesture with his hand.
"Uh…No." Said King was he wasn't going to move.
"Right then." Said Ban as he then charged as King, who looked unimpressed.
"You haven't changed a bit. You still don't listen to what people say." Said King as he easily dodged Ban as Ban tried again. "You're only interested in what you're after. That's why you'll abandon a mission smack bad in the middle of it."
Then King's expression hardened. "Just like when you stole those stuffed animals from all over the kingdom. And when you drank yourself under the stable in the middle of the fight at Edunburgh and endangered the rest of the Deadly Sins. And then…" But what King was about to say was cut off and Ban nearly got him, as King leaned to the side to avoid him.
"To satisfy your own greed, you don't care what happens to others." Said King as that seemed to trigger something in Ban.
Ban then attack with a ferocity, but King dodged each attack. Though several attacks got close to King. After a minute or two of attacking Ban stopped.
"You little twerp. Are you really King?" Asked as he was more inclined to believe him now.
"Didn't I say I was?" King told him as he didn't care.
"Then I won't hesitate to clobber you!" Cried Ban as he swung his fist at insane speeds. But to his confusion he hit King's pillow.
"That was always how you'd jab at me. Back in the day." Said King as he stood on the opposite side where his pillow was.
"Was that why you showed up? To settle a score with me?" Asked Ban with an easy-going face as it then turned serious. "Because as much as I hate to say it, we could use you."
Hearing that King was confused until he remembered what Gilthunder told him. "You honestly believe that story about demons?" He asked Ban not believing any of it.
"I do." Said Ban with a straight face. "Because I faced one before."
Hearing that shocked King, as he believed Ban since the only time, he saw that face on Ban was when it was serious for him.
"What happened?" Asked King curious.
"That monster took something precious away from me." Was all Ban said as the memory was painful for him.
Hearing that King frowned. Leave it to Ban to not tell you anything. But if he won't share then he didn't see a reason to believe him.
"Funny you should talk about losing something precious Ban." Said King as he remembered what happened ten years ago.
"I lost my home everyone I knew and cared for scattered. I later found out that a single bandit was the cause. He stole a cup that gave life giving water and he killed the saint who guarded it." Explained King as Ban understood where this was going, but he needed to ask something.
"Where did you hear that story?" Ban asked him unaware that the pillow behind he was changing shape.
The next thing Ban knew he was being held by his limbs by large teddy bear with four arms.
"You are no match for me as you are." Said King not as a boast, but as a fact as he floated closer to Ban.
"King. How do you know about that saint girl?" Asked Ban as his tone was almost sober.
Hearing that King's face turned to pure anger and hatred as he grabbed Ban's shirt. "The saint you killed was Elaine! My little sister!" Yelled King as Ban didn't show anything on the outside. But on the inside he was shocked.
King then let go of Ban as he floated away as his face never changed.
"I didn't think much of it when we were working together. Why a human like you was immortal? But I'd never dreamed you gained your immortality by killing my sister and taking the fountain all for yourself." Said King as he knew he had Ban.
"I get it now. You want to kill me out of revenge. Well, to bad." Said Ban with a grin. "I can't die!"
But all King did hearing that was smile. "You know my sacred treasure can take many forms, don't you? Oh, that's right. You don't remember anything that doesn't hold interest to you." Said King as the teddy bear started to change.
"The third form of my spirt spear Chastiefol is fossilization." Said King as from the teddy bears stomach came a twin headed spear like a crab's claw. The spear then pierced Ban through the chest.
Then the Ban horror his chest started to turn to stone. The stone then started to spread over his whole body. Ban watched as he knew there was nothing he could do.
"I've been waiting for this moment." Said King with a sober face. "Are you watching Elaine?"
Meanwhile with Meliodas and the others as they looked for Ban, they suddenly stopped as before them was the woman who attacked Ellen and Luigi.
"Who are you? And where'd you suddenly come from?" Asked Diane confused as she literally appeared out of nowhere.
"I died to come here." Said the woman calmly as she moved some hair out of her face.
Hearing that caused everyone to look at her with worry and concern as the woman looked at them.
"Greetings dragon sin of wrath, Meliodas and serpent's sin of envy, Diane. I am Holy knight Guila." Greeted Guila as she did a small bow to them.
"Just now she said 'I got here by dying'." Said Hawk as he was worried about her. "Does… that mean she killed herself to chase after Elizabeth and the Seven deadly sins?"
Guila then looked at Lucy. "You must be the one saying that the demon clan is coming back." Said Guila as Lucy stepped forward.
"I am." Was all Lucy said as Guila laughed.
"Then let them come. Me and the other Holy knights will show them our might." Guila told her with a smug look.
"Have you ever fought a demon or let alone seen one?" Asked Lucy with a serious face.
"No, I've never fought one before." Said Guila as she put a finger to her chin in thought. "But if they were defeated before, how hard can it be?"
Lucy frowned at hearing that as fighting Demons were no small feats. But what caught Meliodas attention was she never said anything about seeing a demon before.
Then Guila drew her rapier as she released her magical energies pushing everyone back. Elizabeth and Hawk fell back a fair bit, with Meliodas and Diana holding their own with Lucy in between the two groups.
"Hawk take Elizabeth and run as far as you can." Ordered Meliodas as he could tell Guila was different from the other knights they faced.
"Elizabeth did you get that, too?" Asked Meliodas never taking his eyes off Geera.
"But I can help…" Started Elizabeth but was cut off by Lucy.
"Not with her." Lucy told Elizabeth as she sweated a bit. "The best thing you can do right now is run."
Hearing that Elizabeth closed her eyes and knew they were right. "Let's go Hawk!" Said Elizabeth as she jumped onto Hawk's back.
Hawk then ran as fast as he could as Elizabeth wished she could help them, but if Meliodas and Lucy both said it was too dangerous then it was.
Seeing that Elizabeth was gone Lucy pulled out one of her keys. "Open the gate of the archer, Sagittarius!" Said Lucy as a bright light appeared.
Standing beside Lucy was a tall man with black hair. He wore a green vest with yellow trims over a white dress shirt. He also wore red and yellow stripped pants and purple frills. On his back was a large quiver of arrows and a bow. But what really stood out for Sagittarius was he was wearing a horse costume with his real head below the horse head.
"And now Star dress!" Said Lucy as her clothes changed. Now she wore a medieval archer outfit consisting of brown boots, green pants and a green tunic with a chainmail shirt underneath. On her back was the same type of quiver of arrows as Sagittarius and a golden bow. And to top off her outfit she wore a green hat with a feather in it like Robin Hood as her hair was tried into a bun.
"I'll handle long range Meliodas, you and Diana focus on close range." Said Lucy as she drew an arrow as did Sagittarius as they both fired at the same time.
Guila was then brought out of her surprise by the arrows as she cut them both with ease.
"I see the reports of you summoning weird creatures is true." Said Guila as she looked at Sagittarius as her eyes fell on the horse head.
'Though what is with that hat?' Guila thought to herself as it was weird.
Guila then saw both Meliodas and Diana charge at her. Acting fast she swung her rapier at both of them as explosions appeared before them. The explosions pushed Meliodas and Diana back, but from the smoke six arrow came her way. Guila was able to destroy five of the arrows, but the sixth one grazed her left arm as the fabric ripped.
Guila looked down at her arm and saw no blood as the arrow just grazed her. She then looked at Lucy and Sagittarius as both of them drew more arrows.
"Nice shot Sagittarius." Praised Lucy as readied her next shot.
"Thank you, Miss Lucy. Moshi Moshi." Said Sagittarius as he then saluted her.
Guila knew that it would be easier to deal with Meliodas and Diana if she got rid of Lucy and Sagittarius first. So she then rushed at the two archers, but then out of nowhere Meliodas popped up.
"I don't think so." He told her as he tried to chop her head off with her hand.
Guila ducked under the chop and kicked Meliodas away. She then brought her sword up to slice him when she heard Lucy.
"Star shot!" Cried Lucy as she fired several arrows that then glowed as they flew towards Guila. Guila saw them coming and jumped away. But to her surprise the arrows turned around and came at her again. Acting fast Guila then caused an explosion to destroy the arrows. But then a large fist hit her as she flew into a nearby crystal.
Guila stood up quite easily. "I guess this fight will be a bit harder than I thought." She said to herself as she charged at them again.
'Where's Ban when you need him.' Thought Meliodas as something about this knight was weird.
Elsewhere with King he just watched as Ban finished turning into a stone statue.
"To the very end, not even word of repentance, huh." Said King as he looked at Ban's calm face. "Just like you Ban."
King then turned around as his spear flew over to him as it changed back into its default form. But as King turned started to leave when he felt something behind him. He then turned and gasped as something was in front of Ban. King couldn't tell what it was, but from what he saw it was a bunch of light floating in front of Ban, but he could feel a warmth to them.
"What is that?" King asked himself as he thought it was some sort of trick by Ban. But he couldn't do anything since he was stone.
That's when King knew what it was. "Elaine? Is that really you?" Asked King hoping that it really was his sister.
Then to King's shock Ban was freed from his stone prison.
"What!? The petrification was released!" Cried out King as none of this made any sense.
"Yo, Elaine." Said Ban in a warm tone.
For floating in front of Ban was a young woman with pale skin and neck length blond hair. She had golden eyes. She wore a white strapless dress with a butterfly knot at the back and long detached sleeves.
"Ban… How can you see Elaine? Is…is that really Elaine!?" Asked King as he wanted to see his sister. "No! if that's the case, how can you see her while I can't?!"
That's when King realized he was being ignored and Ban was calmly talking with Eliana. King could only look on in disbelief as his own sister was more interested in the man that killed her then him.
"You should let him see you." Ban suddenly said bring King out of his thoughts.
That's when King could hear his sisters voice. "This so called 'capital of the dead' is where the soul and memory are tied together, those who still live and those who have passed on. The strong bond created by their memories is what allows the deceased to be seen."
Hearing that King could only come to one reason why he could see Elaine.
"You're still mad at me, huh." Said King a he hung his head. "That I abandoned everything. You, the kingdom. I threw it all away!"
But before anyone could say anything else, they heard a huge explosion off in the distance.
"This feeling, a Holy Knight?!" Said Ban as he knew what he had to do, as he started to head that way when Elaine stopped him.
"Ban wait! Why… did you come to see me?" Asked Elaine curious to the answer.
"No reason. I just wanted to say one thing." Said Ban as King spoke up.
"Fine, I'm alright with whatever you think of me! But there's no reason for you to save Ban! He's the one who stole everything from you!" Yelled King as Ban continued like he wasn't even there.
"Someday I'll definitely make you mine." Said Ban shocking King as he was ready to yell at him.
"Thank you Ban." Said Elaine making King stop in his tracks as he stared at the light unable to believe what he just heard.
And with that Ban took off to help the others while King fell to his knees not believing what he just heard.
Back with the others they weren't in great shape. Both Meliodas and Diane were on the ground bruised, while Lucy was panting hard as she lost her shirt exposing the chain mail under it as she lost her hat long ago. Sagittarius groaned as he took many hits for Lucy as he then couldn't take anymore and vanished back to the Celestial spirt realm. And with Sagittarius gone Lucy's clothes went back to normal.
"Please try harder. Attacks like that won't be able to stop my power, explosion!" Said Guila as she calmly walked over to them with no new injuries on her.
Meliodas and the others tried to get up, but they need more time to get their second wind. Guila then brought her rapier up and was about to bring it down when she suddenly stopped.
"My bad. I think I just stopped it." Said Ban calmly as he held out his hand as everyone was surprised to see him.
"Ban!" Said the Sins and Lucy in surprise and joy.
"Fox sin of greed, Ban." Said Guila as she tried to move her rapier but couldn't. "Take your hand off of my rapier!"
"That's no way to ask for something, miss." Said Ban as he still held out his hand. "Beside I'm not touching anything."
Ban then moved a finger towards himself as Guila's rapier moved towards Ban. Guila had to put her other hand on it just to keep t in place.
"I see this is your power. Snatch. The details of your powers aren't very well known to the kingdom, but I'll give you something more suitable for a little snitch like you." Said Guila as she fought Ban's power, but she then fired a small ball of energy at Ban.
When Ban saw the ball, it was right next to him as a huge explosion happened next to him. Seeing this shocked the others as when the dust cleared Ban was laying on the ground bloodied and with some limbs pointing the wrong way.
"I've been told that you are immortal. But it looks like you can't fight anymore." Said Guila as she calmly walked over to Ban with a sickeningly sweet smile on her face.
Seeing this Meliodas got his second wind as he charged forward and attack Guila . As the two fought Lucy saw Diane getting up and joining Meliodas. Lucy then went through her keys for who could help them.
'Loke, Taurus, Capricorn, and Cancer are close range fighters and won't be helpful. All I see it crystals so that means Virgo and Aquarius can't be helpful here. Sagittarius is too injured to help. So that leaves me Aries, Scorpio and Gemini. But can they turn the tide?' Thought Lucy as Aries power was wool, and Scorpio was sand both could be easily blown away and she doubted she could pull the same trick she did with Gemini as second time.
Lucy's eyes then feel on the Celestial spirt king's key. She knew he told her to only use it for emergencies, but she was out of options and she saw the others having a terrible time.
Lucy then stood up as her hand went for her platinum key as she knew she had no other choice right now. And if the King was mad at her then she'll beg for forgiveness. As before her everyone had burn marks all over them as Diane was down for the count as Meliodas and Ban charged Geera.
Guila had just stabbed Ban through his throat as Lucy was about to summon the King when all a sudden a spear came through Ban and hit Geera. The sudden attack caused Guila to go flying as she slammed into some crystals, as they fell onto her.
"Yo, Ban." Said King as he landed on his spear.
"Hey what's the deal king?" Asked Ban as if he wasn't impaled as he coughed up blood.
"Can't you tell? I came to help." Said King as if it was obvious.
"To help, huh? Why thank you." Said Ban with sarcasm dripping in his voice.
"You're welcome. It's for Captain and Diane." Said King in the same tone as before.
"Whaa? Your leaving me out?" Asked Ban as he was curious if that was all to it.
"That and… Elaine's feelings for you." Said King as he wouldn't hurt his sister anymore.
Hearing confused the others expect Ban as they wondered what they were talking about. But they didn't have long to think as Guila made a flashy entrance.
"Your betrayal was expected, but it's too bad, Grizzly's sin of sloth, King." Said Guila as she got into a combat stance.
"What you're saying is what's unexpected. I had no intention of siding with you from the start." Said King as he was honestly surprised they though he was with them at all.
"It just so happened that kingdom's goal of defeating the Seven Deadly sins coincided with my goal of defeating Ban at the moment." Said King as Ban had to say something.
"I don't care about any of this, but can you stop literally talking behind my back?" Ban asked King as the spear was still in him.
"But things have changed." Said King as he ignored Ban. "Sorry but can you relay that message to Gilthunder, your boss?"
Hearing that Guila face changed from calm to annoyed. "That little boy? My boss? Please save the jokes for sleep talking. It's not funny at all." She told King as she then fired several small bombs at him.
Seeing this Lucy drew her sword as rushed over to King and Ban to help. But King wasn't worried as his spear shot forward right through Ban as he quickly dealt with each bomb, making a huge explosion that Elizabeth and Hawk could see as they rushed over to where the fight was.
"Splendid." Said Guila as the smoke cleared showing that no one was hurt by her attack just now.
"So that's the legendary Spirt spear Chastiefol. I don't know whether it is true, but the spear is said to be a holy weapon crafted from the sacred tree only found in the fairy realm." Explained Guila as the last part caught Lucy's attention.
"Fairy realm?" Repeated Lucy as she looked at King curiously.
"I hear that it's strength is stronger than that of steel and has the mysterious qualities of the sacred tree and your power that draws out those qualities Disaster." Continued Guila as a smile formed on her face. "Looks like I might be able to enjoy this. Please come at me all at once."
"No." Said King calmly as he added. "It'll be one on one."
Hearing that shocked Lucy. "But she fought us all with no effort, how will you be ok on your own?" She asked King as King looked at her.
"When this is over, I would like to talk with you more. But for now, sit back and watch." Said King as Lucy was about to say something only for Meliodas to put a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, King's got this." Meliodas told Lucy who wasn't sure still.
"Just sit back and relax." Said Ban as he sat down near Diane as Meliodas joined him.
Seeing that she was outvoted Lucy put her sword away and sat down with them.
"Are you serious?" Asked Guila as she tilted her head in confusion. "You want to take me on by yourself when three sins and their friend were barely able to keep up with me?"
"It doesn't matter. Lets just get this over with." Said King as Chastiefol spun above him.
"Very well, then. Ready when you are." Said Guila as that when it happened.
The next thing Guila knew Chastiefol would have cut off her head if his instincts hadn't told her to move. Instead it flew right through her hair as it cut her left cheek.
"It might be a good idea to try dodging." Warned King as he didn't care if she did or not.
'I misread it.' Thought Geera as King unleashed a barrage of attacks on her. Geera could barley dodge them as she had no choice but to go on the defensive for now.
On the sidelines Lucy couldn't believe the power King was showing. Where the four of them couldn't handle Guila, King was moping the floor with her. She then looked at her guild mark and smiled.
'I guess I'm the first member to find a fairy. Now I wonder, does he have a tail?' Thought Lucy as she wondered something else.
"Hey, is King your strongest member?" Asked Lucy as Meliodas and Ban looked at her before laughing, even Diane giggled.
Seeing this confused Lucy as Ban was pounding the floor laughing hard. Meliodas tried to stop laughing in order to explain.
"No, he isn't." Said Meliodas as he laughed more. "That's Escanor."
'Escanor?' Thought Lucy wondering who that was but asked something else. "Then how is he winning when we couldn't?"
"It's because of his scared treasure Chastiefol." Said Meliodas as Lucy wondered how a spear could make that much of a difference.
Lucy then watched the fight again as Guila continued to run as she avoid King's strikes. Guila then jumped onto a large crystal that overlooked everyone.
"Brilliant Detonation!" Cried Guila as she pointed her rapier upwards as a giant bomb appeared above her.
Everyone was shocked by the move and was worried what will happen, everyone but King. King simply looked at the attack before him as he readied Chastiefol. Guila then attacked as the giant bomb then broke apart as dozens of smaller bombs that went flying every which way.
"Spirit spear Chastiefol form five Increase." Said King as his spear transformed again, this time into a small kunai like spear. But then it multiplied until there were too many to count.
Lucy then watched in amazement as every kunai hit one of the bombs destroying it before it even got close to them. Then when the dust cleared, they saw that every Kunai was behind Guila who was equally shocked as Lucy while the other sins grinned at the sight. King then thrusted his hand down as all the Kunai's slammed into Guila and destroyed the crystal she stood on.
Seeing this everyone relaxed, and they heard something running their way. Looking over they saw Elizabeth as she rode Hawk.
"Hey!" Yelled Elizabeth as they got closer. "Are you hurt?"
"Man, you sure made a mess of it!" Yelled Hawk as he saw the battlefield.
"Hey! We're all fine." Said Meliodas as Hawk stopped before them.
"That's good." Said Elizabeth as she saw how beaten up they were as Diane slowly got up.
Then from the rumble Guila emerged as her eyes were on King as she then rushed her
"King, at this range even if you defend yourself with the spirit spear, you won't come out unscathed!" Yelled Guila as she had a bomb ready to use.
King was about to move out of the way when he remembered that the others were behind him. If he moved then they would take the attack. But then out of no where Meliodas appeared between the two.
"No, you won't." Was all Meliodas said as he used full counter on Guila.
"No." Was all Guila could say as her own attack blew up in her face.
The next thing everyone saw was a huge explosion as they felt Guila magic disappear.
"Guila's presence disappeared." Said Diana as she wondered if that was the end of her.
"So, she died. That was anticlimactic." Said Hawk as he wasn't amused.
"Don't say that Hawk." Said Lucy with a frown. "Just because she was our enemy doesn't mean she deserved this."
Hearing that the other Sins gave her a look making Lucy uncomfortable.
"That may be true in your world Lucy, but it different here." Said Meliodas as he understood where she was coming from.
That then they all realized something they were disappearing. They all panicked as they lost arms, legs, even their heads literally.
The next thing they knew they were back in the village, exactly were they left from in the first place.
"Looks like we're back in the real world." Said Ban stating the obvious.
"Yeah." Agreed Meliodas.
"Guys I think we have a problem!" Yelled Lucy in worry. Everyone then looked over and saw Guila with her right hand in her chest.
"I see, she came to the Capital of the dead by leaving herself half-dead." Said Meliodas as he was surprised by her resolve.
"Then that means she could wake up at any moment, right?!" Screamed Hawk in fear.
"Everyone, hurry up and run!" Yelled Elizabeth as Lucy agreed with her.
"Lets just kill her now!" Suggested Ban.
"How savage." Said King with disapproval in his voice. "I'll petrify her."
"That's the same thing." Said Ban with chuckle.
"What did you say Ban!?" Asked King annoyed that he would say such a thing.
Seeing this Diane shook her head. "You're all such kids."
"Alright leave it to me!" Said Meliodas with confidence.
Everyone looked at each other wondering what Meliodas had planned, but they knew better then to ask. So while Meliodas went to work the others went back to the Boar hat as King went with them. But when they got there they realized something.
"Oh no! Ellen and Luigi aren't here!" Said Elizabeth with worry in her voice.
Outside the Boar hat both King and Ban heard her.
"Geez, where did they go?" Ban asked himself out loud.
"Did Guila…" Trailed off King as that would be too cruel.
"I'm glad misters." The two heard as they turned around and saw the kids.
"Oh, there you are." Said Ban as he was glad they were ok.
"You were able to see the person you wanted to see…" Asked Luigi as he trailed off.
"And share your memories and feeling right?" Finished Ellen, but as they talked the started to vanish.
"You… those bodies…" Said Ban as he couldn't find the right words.
"Are… are you..." Started King as he had an idea what they really were.
"We'll rest in peace until we have to lead other people like you to the capital." Said Luigi.
"Your cooking was really delicious mister." Said Ellen with a smile.
"Thank you." They both said as they both vanished.
As Ban and King looked at each other they headed into the bar and told the others who were still worried about the kids.
Seeing that everything was taken care of here, Mama Hawk got up and headed away with no real destination in mind. As they traveled Lucy looked at King with a judging eye. Something Elizabeth saw.
"Lucy, I don't think King will attack us." She told her friend thinking that why she was looking at him so intently.
"That's not why." Said Lucy as she leaned over and whispered to Elizabeth. "I heard fairies have tails and I'm curious if it's true or not."
Hearing that both girls looked over at King who was talking with Meliodas as they both wondered if he had a tail or not.
And with that the Capital of the dead arc is over. I know I skipped over a lot of scenes with Elaine, but in all honesty I felt that I could skip over them. I already have a plan in place for the two without giving away anything for those who know nothing about the Seven deadly sins.

Also I want to thank everyone for giving me their suggestion on who to bring in from the Fairy Tail world. You all made good suggestions and in the end I have decided to bring the Sins to the Fairy Tail world. I already got it planed out, but it won't happen for some time I'm afraid.
The next chapter will be a more causal and one I'm looking forward to writing.
