Chapter 21:

Settling the score

Kingdom of Liones

In the courtyard of the castle stood around two dozen regular knights. Each one had a determined look on their face as they were ready for battle. Then one knight with a large feather in his helmet walked before them.

"Men!" Said the knight captain as he looked at them all as he started.

"Right now, the Seven Deadly Sins are attacking the capital. The holy Knights have tried and failed to stop them. Therefore, it is up to us to stop them. We may not have magic like the Holy Knights, but our determination and drive, is far greater than theirs. We shall be the ones to stop the Sins and keep the people safe!"

Hearing their captain's word everyone roared in agreement as they were ready to charge.

"Open the gates!" Ordered the captain as the gates opened.

But when they did everyone stopped dead in their tracks. For standing there was Ban as he looked at them uncaring. Seeing one of the Sins right before them caused all their drive to vanish. As many of them took a couple of steps back. While others looked ready to either pass out or piss themselves.

Ban saw this a grin formed on his face as he then spoke to them.

"Boo." Was all Ban said as it was enough to make the knights panic.

Everyone dropped their weapons and shields as they ran around in a panic. Ban looked at them as he just raised an eyebrow. He heard that speech and now this.

Shaking his head Ban reach out and grabbed a knight as he ran by.

"Hey." Said Blake freaking the knight out.

"Please don't kill me!" Pleaded the knight.

"I won't. Not unless you tell me what I want to know." Said Ban as the knight sweated in fear.

"I'll answer the best I can, but I just started last week." Admitted the knight as Ban frowned at that.

"Fine, but can you tell me about this…" Started Ban as the knight listened to what Ban had to say.

Dreyfus group location

Elsewhere Dreyfus's group was looking through Merlin's old research building that Hendrickson took over. As Howzer looked at some of the items, he had an uneasy look on his face.

"What's wrong?" Asked Guila curious as she saw him acting weird.

"I'm afraid if I touch something, something bad will happen to me." Admitted Howzer as he looked at a weird, twisted statue.

"Really." Was all Guila could say.

"I agree with him." Said Jericho as she eyed some weird object. Just looking at most of these things scared her to be honest.

"Have you found anything?" Asked Dreyfus as Helbram joined him.

"No nothing yet." Admitted Howzer as this was starting to feel like a wild goose chase.

"Then let's move to the next area." Said Dreyfus as they headed off.

"Um Sir Dreyfus…" Started Howzer nervous.

"Yes Howzer?" Asked Dreyfus without looking back.

"How can we even be sure the Sins will come here? After all, if I was going to get something from here stealth would be key, not launching an all-out attack."

"He does have a point." Admitted Guila as that made sense.

Hearing that Dreyfus sighed as they had a point.

"We'll check this last room. If we find nothing, then we will engage the Sins." Dreyfus told them as they had a point.

"Great another room full of things I'm not sure if I should touch." Said Jericho quietly so not to anger Dreyfus.

"Still its not like one of the Sins will be here." Said Howzer as he opened the door and blinked in disbelief.

The reason being was on the other side of the door was Diane. Even the other Holy Knights blinked in surprise and shock. Diane then looked at them as she too blinked as she wasn't expecting them.

Diane then got out of her surprise and got Gideon ready. Seeing this the Holy knights drew their weapons and got ready.

"Diane…" Said Howzer as he wasn't expecting to see her here.

"Tell me criminal, what is your goal here?" Asked Dreyfus with a critical eye.

Diane said nothing as she cursed her luck. She came her as she knew there were room large enough for her. And she only came here as her size, while being able to gain the most attention, could get innocent people hurt. So, she came here after running around for a bit. But she didn't expect for five Holy Knight to be here.

"Answer the question!" Demanded Guila as she was ready to attack.

"To get Elizabeth back!" Said Diane as this confused the knights.

"The princess?" Said Jericho confused. "But isn't she with you?"

Hearing that Dreyfus looked at Helbram. "What's she talking about?" asked Dreyfus in a no-nonsense tone.

'Crap! I knew they come for the princess. But how'd did they get her so fast and without people knowing?' Thought Helbram as he needed to do something.

"It's all a ruse." Said Helbram with a straight face. "If the princess was recovered from the Sins, there would have been much rejoicing."

Guila seemed to buy it, but unfortunate for Helbram she was the only one who did. So it was time for some underhandedness.

Looking up Helbram saw a loose stone and smiled. Using the power of Object Gigantification, Helbram caused the stone to grow in size. Which resulted in falling down right onto Diane's wrist. The sudden pain caused her to lose her grip on Gideon, allowing the hammer to hit the ground.

"Look she's attacking!" Exclaimed Helbram as he wasn't going to win any awards with his acting.

But it was enough for Guila as she shot forward.

"Wait!" Said Diane as she didn't want to fight. But Guila fired an explosion at Diane who was caught unprepared and hit a wall.

"Guila wait!" Started Howzer but Helbram fired another spell at Diana who just Gideon into a combat stance.

"Eruption!" Said Helbram as lava exploded form beneath causing her to go flying as some lava landed near the knights.

"What was that!?" Demanded Howzer as he got into Helbram's face.

"I was simply dealing with a threat to the kingdom." Said Helbram as he tried to move forward only for Dreyfus to block him.

"I saw what you did. You provoked her and then sent her into the city." Informed Dreyfus as Helbram looked and saw Diane was gone.

"Again. I really need to work on that spell." Said Helbram as that was the second time that happened.

"Helbram." Warned Dreyfus as Helbram quickly vanished leaving Dreyfus annoyed. He then saw Guila rushing off as well.

Seeing this Howzer started to head off. "Howzer stop."

Hearing that Howzer stopped and saw Dreyfus looking at him.

"Why didn't you attack the Sin?" Dreyfus asked him with a small glare.

Hearing that Howzer's face never changed. "It's a small area. A small mistake could result in me hitting an ally." Howzer told him as Dreyfus continued to look at him.

"I understand." Was all Dreyfus said as Howzer ran off in the direction Diane went with Jericho on his tail.

Liones castle

Inside the castle Ban was casually walking around. A maid or two saw him and ran when they did. According to the info he got from the knight there was one area that had more patrols in it than it should.

Ban then stopped as he was in the area and looked around. Nothing looked odd or out of place for him. Ban slowly walked as he looked around until he saw an interesting wall. It was mostly bear expect for the bottom which was lion heads surrounded by what looked like waves. Ban looked at the lion heads and grinned.

"Nice hiding place." He said to himself as he grabbed one head and gave it a small twist. When he did a door opened nearby. Seeing this Ban grinned as he walked to the door. Looking in he saw a staircase that went so deep he couldn't see the end.

"I hope this is worth it." Said Ban as he walked down the stairs.

Diane location

Diane rubbed her head as she tried to get her bearings. When she felt the ground move and the heat build up under her, she quickly used heavy metal to protect herself. But the force of the explosion sent her flying.

That was when Diane heard screaming and people panicking. Opening her eyes fully she saw she was in the middle of a residential area.

'Oh no.' Thought Diane as she could sense magical powers rushing her way.

"Quickly the quickest way out of here!" Said Diane as she got up.

The people looked at her confused. Unsure as to why she said that. Some people took up arms with whatever they could. As some even started to throw rocks at her.

"Please hurry. This area is about to become a battlefield." Pleaded Diane but no one would listen to her.

Diane then started to move only for a building nearby to explode near her.

"She's attacking us!" Cried one person.

"Get the hell out of here!" Yelled another person as they threw a rock at her.

"It isn't me." Said Diane as she wasn't even close to the building when it exploded.

At the same time Guila arrived as she the gasped in freight. This was her area, where she lived. She then saw people running by her in a panic.

Guila then stopped one. "What's happening?" She asked the person.

"A Holy Knight!" Said the person in joy. "Please help us. A giant fell out of the sky and started to destroy buildings."

Hearing that Guila frowned. That made no sense why attack the town. Then Guila's eye went wide.

"Zeal!" Guila said to herself in panic. Her brother was home today. He was in danger.

Guila then rushed forward as she screamed out her brother's name. Hoping that she would find him safe and sound.

Back with Diane she was in trouble the people brave or stupid enough to stay were attacking her. And if she moved the nearby building would explode on her. That was when Guila found Diana as she took a step and a building exploded.

"Where did that attack come from just now?" Asked Guila as she saw Diane wasn't even close to the building.

"Guila!" Yelled Jericho as she and Howzer arrived.

"What's happening?" Asked Howzer as he saw civilians attacking Diane who didn't fight back. That was when he saw a building explode near Diane.

"Someone is setting the Sin up as a villain." Answered Guila as she was going to take the Sins down, but not like this.

Howzer looked around and even check the air flow around them, before turning around and frowning.

"Helbram! What the hell are you doing?" Demanded Howzer as both girls with him turned and saw Helbram there grinning.

"Why helping the people see the Sins for the villains they are." Said Helbram off hand like nothing was wrong.

"You're attacking the town?" Questioned Guila as she couldn't believe it.

"Attacking is such an ugly word. I'm just helping the people see the Sins for what they are." Said Helbram like nothing was wrong.

"You bastard." Growled Howzer as Jericho spoke up.

"But you're a Holy Knight. You're suppose to uphold justice." She told Helbram who chuckled.

"That right, I'm one of the good guys. But what's a good guy with a bad guy?" Asked Helbram as this shocked the three of them.

"Then, the information about the Sins plotting to take over the kingdom. Was that a lie? And if it was then why frame them?" Asked Guila as what she knew to be true was crumbing around her.

"Why you ask?" Asked Helbram as he looked at the three. "Just think about it for a moment. To cast the Holy Knights in the light of 'justice', we need 'bad guys'. And the Seven Deadly Sins are the baddest you can find."

"Then what the girl said about the demon clan. It's true isn't it." Said Jericho as she had that feeling.

"Oh why say that?" Asked Helbram with a chuckle.

"Why do you need to be a hero, unless you need the people on your side." Answered Jericho as some pieces were falling into place for her.

"Sister Guila!" They heard as boy with clean blond hair and drown eyes. He wore a violet shirt and black pants.

Seeing her brother running towards them caused Guila's face paled.

"Be careful Zeal! Don't come this way!" Yelled Guila as Helbram smirked.

Then to Guila's horror a piece of a building near Zeal started to break apart. But Zeal was more focused on Diane as he had never seen a giant before. Then the part of the building fell off as Zeal only saw it and couldn't move.

"ZEAL!" Cried out Guila as she knew she never reach him in time.

Then faster then what any of the Holy Knights or nearby people thought possible Diane covered Zeal with her body, protecting him.

Zeal looked up at Diane in surprise as he wasn't expecting her to save him.

"You… saved me? Thank you." Said Zeal in a bit shock. Diane for her part just smiled as she got up.

"You better get out of here." Said Diane as Zeal looked to his sister who nodded causing him to run off.

Back with the Holy Knights Guila let out a breath she was holding, before glaring at Helbram.

"Helbram." Growled Guila as she got into a fighting stance.

"Guila stop." Said Jericho ass he never took her eyes off Helbram.

"You should listen to her Guila." Said Helbram with a smirk.

"We can't fight him here. There are too many people around that can get hurt." Continued Jericho as Helbram's smile vanished.

"She right. No one knows where Helbram came from, but his power is the real deal. If we want to stand a chance, we have to work together." Said Howser as he got into a fighting stance.

Then a shadow cover then as they saw Diane standing behind them.

"I don't know what's all going on, but if he's your enemy then I'm with you." Said Diane as Howzer smirked.

"Thanks Diane, with you backing us up our chances just increased." Howzer told her as Guila and Jericho agreed.

Seeing this Helbram laughed. "To think three promising Holy Knights have betrayed the kingdom and sided with a criminal." Helbram told them as he got a serious look on his face.

"Two of whom drank demon blood." Helbram said as this confused Howzer greatly.

'Demon blood?' Thought Howzer as he shook those thoughts out of his head. 'I need to concentrate or else I'm going to die.'

Then without warning Guila charged at Helbram who looked unworried.

"Hunter wisp." Said Helbram as three orbs of light shot at Guila. Guila easily dodged them when she heard Jericho yell.

"Watch out!"

Hearing that Guila looked back and saw the orbs were following her. Guila easily dodged them again as the wondered if this was everything. Then she got careless, and an orb touched her left arm and the exploded. Guila went flying from the explosion and hit a building hard.

Guila then looked up in fear as she saw the other two orbs rushing at her. But before they could reach her a stone wall appeared and the orbs ran into it and exploded. Guila looked over and saw Diane had made the wall appear.

Helbram chuckled at the sight when he felt someone close to him, turning he saw Jericho swing at him. But to Jericho's frustration she couldn't land a blow.

"Here's a move you should know." Said Helbram with a smirk. "Hail Bullet."

Around Helbram ice spikes formed and then fired at Jericho. Jericho's eye's widened as that was her brother's move. Jericho tired to block them with her sword but there was too many of them. All over Jericho's body she could feel the spikes cut against her.

Then a tornado appeared around Jericho. The tornado protected Jericho as the ice spikes couldn't penetrate the tornado. Seeing this Helbram stopped his attack.

"Thanks." Said Jericho as the tornado vanished.

"No problem." Said Howzer as they regrouped. "But how can he use all these spells?"

"Some sort of item?" Suggested Diane as Jericho frowned.

"No. That last attack it was my brothers." Jericho told them surprising them.

"I guess the secret out." Said Helbram as he wasn't worried.

"How can you use my brothers magic!" Demanded Jericho.

"Quite simply really. I'm magic is called Link. With it anyone who allies themselves with me, allows me to use their powers." Explained Helbram as this shocked the others.

"Then he's only limited to the number of allies he has." Said Howzer as this was bad.

"I'm glad you understand your situation Howzer." Said Helbram as he then grinned.

"Sandstorm." Said Helbram as a sandstorm appeared out of nowhere temporary blinding them.

"Don't think that can work on me!" Said Diane as she rushed forward, but that was what Helbram wanted.

"Bullet laser." Said Helbram as beam of light shot out of his fingers. Diane couldn't stop as the beams pierced through her.

"Diane!" Yelled Howzer as he made a tornado to clear the sandstorm.

Diane fell to the ground with a thump. Seeing this Howzer rushed forward as he got ready to stab Helbram.

"I don't think so. Briar whip!" Said Helbram as briars formed on his blade. Helbram swung his blade at Howzer as the briars wrapped around him allowing Helbram with swing him right into a building. Helbram then slammed Howzer into a few more building before tossing him towards Diane.

"Banshee scream." Said Helbram as he turned his head towards Guila and Jericho and let loose a powerful scream. The scream hit the two as they got slammed into a wall. When the two fell down they left an imprint in the wall.

"My I was hoping for more of a challenge." Said Helbram with a sick grin on his face.

"I'm not done yet." Said Diane as she got up, but slowly, due to her injuries.

But then out of nowhere a blade of light pierced her chest from behind her. Since Diane wasn't expecting it as she fell down once more. Curious Helbram looked behind Diane and smiled as Dreyfus was there.

"What is happening here?" Asked Dreyfus as he looked at the down knights.

"Oh them." Said Helbram as he tried to act shocked. "They suddenly sided with the criminal and attacked me. I was barely able to hold them off."

Dreyfus just looked at him hearing.

"If you barely held them off, then why is your armour so clean?" Asked Dreyfus as Helbram had no answer for that.

"He's lying sir." Said Jericho weakly as she got up. "He was attacking the town and making it look like Diane was the one doing it."

"And then he had no problems attacking us." Added in Howzer as he got up.

"I see." Was all Dreyfus as he looked at Helbram.

"Sir Dreyfus you can't believe them over me." Said Helbram as he panicked a little.

"The truth is I never trusted you to begin with." Said Dreyfus as he got ready to attack Helbram.

"Stop!" Said a voice as everyone looked around confused.

"King." Said Diane weakly as she saw King hovering there.

"King of the Seven Deadly Sins." Said Dreyfus as he glared at king.

"He's mine." Said King coldly as he never took his eyes off Helbram.

"Ah King or would you rather Fairy King Harlequin?" Asked Helbram with a grin.

Hearing this confused everyone, but King who looked conflicted.

"So, it is you Helbram." Said King sadly before his tone turned strict. "So, show me your true form already."

Hearing that Helbram grinned before smoke covered him. When it cleared everyone was shocked. Helbram was now smaller and looked much younger than before. He now wore a green long-sleeved shirt with a sunflower like collar. Black tight pants with black pointy shoes. His hair was still green but went down to his neck and around his eyes was what looked like black eye liner. But what stood out to everyone was he had pointy ears and fairy wings.

"Helbram what are you?" Asked Dreyfus confused.

"He was a fairy." Answered King confusing everyone even further.

"Was a fairy? What does that mean?" Asked Howzer voicing everyone's question.

"He means he killed me." Answered Helbram as he glared at King.

"So how are you back then?" Asked King as he tightened his fist.

"Back?" Said Diane confused as she's never seen King like this.

"Tell you what King. If you somehow beat me, I'll tell you." Said Helbram as he then floated upwards.

"Now let's take this somewhere else. After all, when I kill you, I don't want to hear you complaining about civilians, or Holy Knights interfering." Said Helbram as he knew he was going to win.

"Fine." Said King as the two flew off.

Dreyfus watched this as he wondered how Helbram was a fairy all along. It was Hendrickson how brough him in and many other of the new generation.

'What have I missed?' Thought Dreyfus as too much was going on here.

"You have missed a fair bit." Answered a voice behind Dreyfus causing him to turn around.

"Who are you?!" Demanded Dreyfus as his instincts told him to be careful.

"I am Gowther the goat sin of lust." Introduced Gowther as he then did a pose.

"How come he looks nothing like his wanted poster?" Asked Jericho confused.

"Now that I think about it none of them do." Said Howzer as they really dropped the ball on that.

"What do you mean by that?" Asked Dreyfus as he eyed Gowther, but he knew he couldn't ignore such information.

"For one thing all the new generation Holy Knights have drank demon blood to gain their new power." Said Gowther like nothing was wrong.

"You're lying. No Holy knight would do that." Said Howzer as couldn't believe that.

"He's right." Said Jericho as she was now sitting and couldn't look at him.

"What?" Was all Howzer could say.

"It wasn't long ago that Hendrickson called me and another to a secret location." Started Jericho.

"Jericho stop!" Warned Guila.

"No, they need to know!" Yelled Jericho as she continued. "I don't know where we were, but he offered us power if we drank demon blood."

Hearing that shocked Howzer. He knew there was something wrong with the new generation, but for it to be this. It was too much to believe.

Dreyfus frowned as he knew something was going on, but for this to be it was almost too much.

"How can I believe you?" Asked Dreyfus as he knew of Gowther's powers and that could have implanted those memories in Jericho.

"After all as a Holy Knight it is my job to punish evil doers." Said Dreyfus as he got ready for a fight.

"Then who punished you?" Asked Gowther confusing the others, but making Dreyfus pale a little.

"What…" Was all Dreyfus could say.

"Lord Dreyfus, what does he mean?" Asked Howzer confused as he saw how pale Dreyfus was now.

"Dreyfus and Hendrickson were the ones who killed Zaratras and framed us Sins." Said Gowther as that shocked them to the core.

"Shall we talk?" Asked Gowther as Dreyfus put his sword away.

"Alright." Was all Dreyfus said.

King and Helbram location

With the two fairies, they had landed nearby the kingdom, where no one was around. Neither said anything as the two sized each other up.

"Tell me King how long has this gone on for?" Asked Helbram honestly.

"To be honest I can't remember. 700 years at least." Answered King as the two remembered a time before all this began.

The two lived in the fairy forest and were friends, best friends. But their opinions were opposite on humans. King said that they should have nothing to do with them. While Helbram wanted to learn more about them. The problem was Helbram was so interested in them that King was worried that he'd let his guard down around them. And then it happened.

Helbram and some others headed out to meet with humans, and thing went bad from what King heard. So bad he left his sister to guard the forest as he rushed to help them. But it was too late everyone was dead by the time King found them. Their wings torn off their bodies. Then the man who Helbram took his human form after attacked him from behind and that was the last thing he remembered as he fell into a river.

"Then it's time to finish this." Said Helbram as he had his sword ready.

"Yes." Agreed King as Helbram charged at him.

Helbram swung his sword at King, but each strike was easily countered by King with Chastiefol.

'Where's the power he used earlier?' Wondered King as right now Helbram's magic makes him dangerous.

So with that in mind he dodged one swing from Helbram and changed Chastiefol into its second form Guardian. Which took the form of large stuff teddy bear. The bear then swung down on Helbram creating a small crater from the impact.

"Not bad." Said Helbram as he got up and didn't seem worried about the damage he just took.

"Healing touch." Said Helbram as the damage he took just now recovered.

"You know for someone who hates human's, you're very dependent on their magic." Stated King with a frown.

"They're nothing more then a stepping stones for me." Growled Helbram as King didn't look convinced at all.

"Then why don't you use your own power?" Was all King said as Helbram got even more angry.

"Shut up!" Yelled Helbram as he then got a sick grin on his face.

"You know King, I've been saving this spell just for you. Stress!" Said Helbram as King's eyes widened as he could feel Helbram getting stronger.

"What?!" Was all king could say as he got worried.

"Like it. It's my favorite spell I got from the humans. It coverts my stress, anger, and frustration into raw power. Like this." Said Helbram as he vanished before appearing before Kings.

King had no time to react as Helbram punched him. The force of the blow sent King flying as he couldn't believe the power Helbram now had. King then stopped suddenly as Helbram grabbed the hood of his jacket. Helbram then slammed him down to the ground as King made a crater where he landed.

But Helbram wasn't done as he flew down as he had his sword ready to pierce right throw King. But before he could Chastiefol in it's fifth form shot up at him.

"Golden eye ray!" Said Helbram fast as he fired lasers from his eyes at the Kunai knocking them away.

But the Kunai shot up at him again causing Helbram to use his sword to block them. As Helbram was on the defence King used this chance to get up and try to think of a way out of this. But shook his head when he saw four Helbram's blocking his attack.

Then King gasped as the ground under him rumbled and heat started to build up. Then manga shot out from under him.

Helbram smirked at his saw this and the kunai turned back into Chastiefol and fell down.

"Finally!" Said Helbram as he finally got that spell right.

With King he was in so much pain. So much so he was having a hard time staying awake. It was then he remembered what happened after he failed to save the other fairies. He had lost his memories and had meet a young Diane and the two lived together. It was a wonderful time for King, but flashes of his life would appear making him wonder who he was. It wasn't until he saw a nearby village being destroyed that King remembered who he was. He then flew over and found out it was Helbram who killed everyone, but King had to kill him.

That was when the Holy Knights arrived and blamed King for everything Helbram did. Saying his 'slothfulness' was what lead to all the human deaths. It was there he meet Meliodas and joined the Sins.

King slowly got up as Helbram looked at him and laughed.

"Looks like the failure wants more punishment." Laughed Helbram.

"You're right, I am a failure. I couldn't protect my sister. I could protect my home. The people I swore to protect hate me." Said King as he then hardened his look.

"But I will not fail the Sins, my new family!" Declared King as Chastiefol flew beside King and started to glow.

"Scared Treasure release!" Yelled King as Chastiefol changed. It grew in size and the blade also changed as it began larger and more deadly.

Helbram was shocked to see this change. Chastiefol glowed with power as he had never seen anything like this before.

King just stared at Helbram as one though went through his head.

'I'm sorry Helbram.'

King then threw his spear at Helbram as Helbram realized he had nothing to protect himself with as the spear went right through him. When it was over Helbram had a large hole right through the middle of him. The hole was so large that it was amazing his lower body didn't fall off.

Helbram then fell down and hit the ground hard. Helbram could literally feel the life leaving his body. That was when King wobbled over to him.

"You sure got me." Said Helbram weakly.

"Yeah." Said King as he was exhausted.

"Hey King, thank you." Said Helbram with a weak smile.

"Thank you? Why are you thanking me?" Asked King confused.

"For being my friend." Said Helbram as he pulled a small helmet with small horns out of nowhere.

"I got you this. I got it from a human and thought of you." Said Helbram as he handed the helmet to King.

"I love it." Said King as he held it close.

"But… I really… am a fool. I should have… listen to you all… those years ago." Said Helbram with a weak chuckle.

"You're right. You really are a fool!" Agreed King as tears were falling from his eyes.

"But that's what makes you, you" Said King as Helbram laughed.

"Listen… Hendrickson… is planning to use Elizabeth to break… the seal on the demon clan…" Said Helbram as he was near the end.

"Where?" Asked king worried.

"I'm… sorry…." Was the last words Helbram said as the light of life faded form his eyes.

King said nothing as he allowed his tears to fall from his eyes. He had to kill his friend twice. King gave himself a good bit to grieve his friend, but once he was done, he had a determined look on his face as it was time to end this once and for all.

Ban's location

Ban was walking down a dark hallway as he said nor did anything. He then saw his prize a giant curved horn.

"So this is the kingdom's valuable treasure. The trumpet of Cernunnos. It's used in rituals to communicate with the goddesses." Ban said out loud as he looked at the horn.

"Hey. Any goddesses hear me in there? Hello." Called out Ban as he was doubting his plan now.

"Hey, I want to make a deal with you!" Called out Ban again.

"Who's there?" Asked a voice form somewhere making Ban interested as part of him felt like he knew that voice.

Then Ban heard what sounded like hooves on the ground. As he then saw Hawk on the horn.

"Master!? What are you doing up there?! And why are you here in the first place?!" Demanded Ban in shock.

"I don't know! I don't even know where 'here' is! I got separated from Elizabeth somehow and then fell down a secret tunnel and ended up here." Answered Hawk as he jumped down.

Ban looked at Hawk in shock as this pig did more then anyone could image at times. Ban looked at the horn as he knew time was precious here and he was starting to feel like a fool for doing this.

"You are not a fool." Said a voice from nowhere surprising the two.

"Wh...who's there?! Come on out!" Said Hawk as he ran around in circles.

"Is this the goddesses?" Asked Ban as this confused Hawk.

"Show yourselves! Where are you?" Demanded Ban

"Unfortunately, that isn't possible at this point of time. Our power has been drained by a battle of old. It will take some time for us to rebuild ourselves once more. But resurrecting one of the Fairy clan will be no trouble at all." Said the goddess clan member.

"They sound arrogant to me." Said Hawk as Ban agreed with him.

"And what's in it for you?" Asked Ban as he remembered the stories Lucy told him about bring people back in her world.

"Because I'm willing to give my life for hers." Said Ban as he meant it.

"No. we are not interested in taking your life. Instead, we have a task to appoint to you. Upon completing your task, we will grant life to your beloved fairy." Said the goddess.

"Hey, Ban! What are they talking about? It smells pretty fishy to me!" Said Hawk nervous.

"Yeah maybe. But what is this task?" Asked Ban curious.

"We want you to kill a certain someone." Said the goddess as Ban raised an eyebrow.

"Kill? That a pretty violent proposal, coming from a goddess." Said Ban as something felt off.

"Perhaps. But this is not only the wish of us goddesses. It is for the sake of peace among all four races, including yours human." Said the goddess as this caught Ban's attention.

"This must be some monster if all four races are better without them alive. Who is it?" Asked Ban wondering if it was Hendrickson.

"He now goes by this name: The Seven Deadly Sins Dragon sins of Wrath. The man named Meliodas. You must kill him." Answered the Goddess as Ban and Hawk were shocked.

"That's interesting." Was the only thing Ban said.

"What is?" Asked the Goddess.

"The Celestial spirt king says we need him to survive." Ban told the Goddess.

"The Celestial spirt king is nothing but a coward. While we stayed and fought the demon clan, he ran saying he had two worlds to protect." Growled out the Goddess confusing Ban and Hawk.

"Woah that's some bad blood." Said Hawk.

"I want proof." Said Ban confusing everyone.

"What do you mean?" Asked the Goddess.

"If I do this, I want to know that you'll uphold your side of the deal." Said Ban with a stern look.

"Do you not trust us?" Asked the Goddess.

"No." Said Ban as he continued. "I heard from someone about how there's always a catch to bringing back some. But this feels too one sided."

"You fool! Do you not realize that Meliodas is the greater threat here!" Yelled the Goddess.

"Funny you never said anything about my proof." Said Ban as the Goddess was quiet.

After a few minutes of silence Ban turned around.

"Come on Master we're leaving." Said Ban as he had enough.

"Um ok." Said Hawk as he was confused at what happened just now.

"If you allow Meliodas to live you will doom this world." Said the Goddess as Ban stopped.

"That's where you're wrong. If this world is doomed it will be because of all the Seven Deadly Sins, not just Meliodas." Said Ban as he had to go help his friends.

A fair bit happened in this chapter. Unlike in cannon Jericho joined Howzer and Guila in fighting Helbram since she was able to keep her mind and not be focused on revenge. And yes, I realize that Helbram was mopping the floor with them, while King was able to hold his own against him. The reasoning being was they didn't know what his power was. And when they did they were already beaten up.

Also thanks to Warmachine375 for the spells that Helbram used. I feel they helped spice the fights up.
