Maleficent soared through the skies, her wings beating rhythmically against the air. She had returned to the Moors, the place where she had once been banished, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and familiarity wash over her. The other Dark Feys followed closely behind, their wings creating a symphony of fluttering and rustling.
As they descended, Maleficent landed gracefully on the soft mossy ground. The young fairies gathered around her, their eyes filled with awe and curiosity. Maleficent spread her wings, their dark feathers shimmering in the sunlight, and beckoned the fairies to follow her lead. With patient guidance, she taught them the art of flight, showing them how to embrace the freedom that came with soaring through the skies.
Maleficent watched with pride as the fairies fluttered off to their respective homes, feeling content in the knowledge that they were safe and happy. She knew that her return to the Moors had been the right decision, not just for herself but for her kin as well.
As Maleficent walked through the peaceful Moors, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Rumors had been circulating about a new kingdom that had emerged from the ocean, and although she had dismissed them at first, the feeling that something was brewing lingered in the back of her mind.
Despite this, Maleficent had promised to return to Ulstead for the christening of Aurora and Philip's future child. She knew it was important to honor her word and show that she was capable of change and growth. Though hesitant at first, Maleficent had decided that it was time to face her past and confront the kingdom that had once been her enemy.
As months went by without any incident, Maleficent began to relax. However, she couldn't help but wonder what the future held for the Moors and the other kingdoms. Would the rumors of the new kingdom prove to be true, and if so, how would they affect the delicate balance of power in the world? Only time will tell.
One day, as she strolled through the Moors with her scepter in hand and her wings behind her, she heard a familiar voice behind her. It was Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, who she hadn't seen in what felt like an age. The last news she had heard about him was that he had broken up with his tramp girlfriend, Persephone, and had gone after Olympus to steal Zeus' baby nephew. Maleficent couldn't help but laugh at the thought as Hades approached her.
"We meet again," he said, tossing an ember in the air and catching it in his palm.
Maleficent smirked. "So what brings the Lord of the Underworld to my domain?"
"Looking for a Fey, maybe you've seen her. She has horns, big beautiful black wings and she's never without her powerful scepter," Hades said, giving her a small smile. "She's the one they all call the phoenix."
"In fact, I may have seen the Fey you're looking for," Maleficent told him, closing the distance between the two of them. Hades took her into an embrace and their lips met in a passionate kiss. Unfortunately, their moment of bliss was short-lived as they heard the sound of hooves approaching.
"What's going on?" Hades asked, moving to shield Maleficent from harm, forgetting in his slight panic that she could fly as high as she could. As they both looked up, they saw an army of soldiers riding toward them.
"Leave this place!" Maleficent exclaimed, bellowing at the unseen enemy. But before she could take flight, iron nets were flung at her, burning her skin and pinning her to the ground. Hades rushed to her side, trying to remove the nets so that they could escape.
In his frantic rush, he didn't notice the presence of someone behind him. It wasn't until they grabbed his arms that he realized they were not alone. Hades tried to fight them off but froze when he heard a slight growl.
Beast approached Hades and Maleficent, flanked by guards. "Because of your crimes, you will be sent to the Isle of the Lost for the rest of your lives," he declared.
"I just saved Phillip's kingdom and this is how you thank me?!" Maleficent protested. She winced as her wings brushed against the net.
An elderly woman, Queen Leah, spoke up in the background. "Better to cut her wings off, King Adam. That's what my husband did, and after all, she caused his death. Why not do it again?"
Adam nodded in agreement. "Cut her wings and take the two of them to the Isle. We have many other villains to round up."
The guards circled Maleficent, holding her down and using an iron knife to cut off her wings. She screamed in pain as they took her wings away from her. Hades flamed up in anger, but a guard punched him in the stomach and head, causing him to fall to his knees and gasp for air.
As they dragged Maleficent away, the fairy godmother appeared in front of Hades with his brother Zeus. "Sorry, brother, but you need to be contained," Zeus said.
"What about the underworld?" Hades growled at his brother.
"You'll have an entry to the underworld on the Isle, but don't think you'll be able to escape because there will be no way off the Isle," Zeus warned.
Adam gestured to the guards to take Hades away, chained by his arms and legs.
"Let's go find the rest of the villains and their sidekicks," Adam said, walking off with the guards behind him.
Maleficent lay crumpled on the ground, her body aching from the impact of her fall. The other villains and sidekicks looked on in fear, unsure of how to approach the fallen fay. The Evil Queen appeared, her face etched with concern, and helped Maleficent to her feet. With gentle guidance, she led Maleficent to the castle, where she tended to her wounds and provided her with a safe haven to recover.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Isle of the Lost, Hades was left to wonder about Maleficent's fate. He paced back and forth in the cave that was to be his new home, his mind racing with possibilities. He sat down on a cold, hard stone and waited for Pain and Panic to return with news.
When they finally arrived, Hades demanded answers. Had they found Maleficent? Could they leave the Isle? Pain and Panic reported that a barrier prevented them from leaving and that they had yet to locate Maleficent. Frustrated and feeling trapped, Hades decided to make the cave his own.
He waved his hand, and the cave began to transform. Rocks shifted and rearranged themselves, and the walls seemed to grow darker and more foreboding. Hades smirked, pleased with the changes he had made. "If I'm going to live here, at least let it be how I want it," he thought.
As Pain and Panic scurried off to gather more news, Hades was left alone with his thoughts. He knew that the Isle of the Lost was a dangerous place, and he was uncertain of what lay ahead. But he was determined to make the best of his situation and to assert his dominance in this new domain.
