Miraculous: Chloe Bourgeois Time Travel Fix-It.

Chapter 17: Marinette and Adrien.

(Three hundred and four thousand, six hundred and third Quantic Universe Earth, Paris, France, Saturday, September 26th, 2015, third person POV...)

In Marinette's bedroom, Marinette narrates as she writes in her journal, "Marinette's journal. Saturday, September 26th, 2015. Dear journal, I can't believe I made such a success! I literally can't wait to tell my parents either! I had a presentation to do with Adrien, and since I was finished with the heart I was supposed to make, I called him to let him know. For once, I had no metaphorical butterflies or ladybugs in my stomach, and I took my courage into both hands and went through with it. I remembered the true reason why I had trouble talking to him normally after my second day back to school this year back in the other timeline was because I was humiliated by Kim and Chloe last year at the local swimming pool, in the form of a very humiliating prank that could've caused me to hit my head in the pool and drown. If that had happened, Master Fu would've had more difficulty choosing the right candidate for the Ladybug Miraculous during the first Stoneheart attack. Ugh. But anyway, the thing was that the call went to Adrien's voicemail, and from that moment on, it was smooth-sailing."

In Marinette's bedroom, Marinette says, "Okay, so, in conclusion, that's what I wanted to notify you about. Can you please call me or text me later to let me know what you think I should change about the presentation? I'd appreciate that. Thank you."

Marinette hangs up.

Marinette narrates again, "And honestly, my former trouble talking to Adrien normally was also my own fault, because I feared that I wasn't good enough for him and because I feared I was gonna get humiliated again. Although that doesn't justify my stalkerish Stan behavior: tracking Adrien's movements like Kraven The Hunter tracking Spider-Man's movements for a trap opportunity, keeping a schedule of Adrien's activities without the schedules for everyone else in my class for any reason and with his own schedule being meticulously detailed, using my powers to keep other girls away from Adrien, starting a rivalry with Chloe, Kagami, and Lila or whatever the hell her name is over Adrien's affections, etc., except for the fact that Hawk Moth II was already a messed up sociopathic psycho-liar before we even met her next year in the original timeline. Anyway, for Adrien, he's smart enough to be considered a child prodigy just because of his years of being homeschooled, he can play a piano, he knows the ins and outs of fencing, he speaks Chinese and Japanese in addition to French and English, his kindness has been known to melt some cold hearts but not all of them no matter how hard he tries, he's proficient in various martial arts styles such as karate and Kung-Fu although this timeline's version of my best friend soon to be boyfriend already happens to be at Fei Wu's level of Kung-Fu, he knows most rules of right and wrong not unlike with Chloe, Felix, Gabriel, and Lila in the original timeline, and most of all, Adrien knows how to offer specific types of advice depending on the subjects that he's already familiar with. Like in the other original timelines, Adrien is a model for his father, Gabriel Agreste, real name Gabi Grassette, the greatest fashion designer on Earth, but Adrien doesn't brag about it. Truth be told, outside of Adrien being a humanoid Sentimonster, he mostly models for his father to keep him satisfied. And because of the emotion needed to give birth to him in Emilie Agreste's empty and infertile womb, Adrien's one flaw is that he has a sort of see-no-evil mindset and view, and because of this, he tends to give second chances to even those who don't deserve it, like the original Chloe and like Lila, Felix, and many others like them. That combined with how he was raised by Gabriel even after Emilie died equals Adrien's former unwillingness to throw Chloe under the bus like a true human being should in a toxic school environment and Adrien's former pacifistic inability to expose Lila's lies earlier just because he doesn't know about Lila threatening me in the girls' bathroom, doesn't know about Lila willingly allying with Hawk Moth ever since Heroes' Day and her first day in Paris, doesn't know how harmful lies are even without Hawk Moth and his powers as an added variable or example, and doesn't know about how the real world works with bullies, liars, tabloids, school rules, superhero rules, relationships between abused children and abusive parents, relationships between neglected children and neglectful parents, relationships between two people who aren't meant to be together just because of similar problems we had in the original timeline thanks to Master Fu, the identity rule, and the love square, and so forth that all children at our ages should be taught about in order to make better decisions in life, regardless of whether or not superheroes exist as real people or as fictional characters in a comic book, a novel, a video game, a cartoon, a Japanese anime show, a movie, or even a franchise of non-sentient toys for children to play with.

Anyway, I intend to do something for Adrien since his birthday is coming up in a few days this coming week. I double-checked with his permission while double-checking the schedules for both his birthday and the birthdays of every one of our classmates. Seriously, any time that I keep to schedules and remind our classmates about important things coming along, I get paid. Basically, I'm kind of like a Clock Queen but I get paid instead of being thrown in jail for meticulously planning supervillain schemes or terrorist attacks like Hawk Moth or William Tockman. Anyway, I'll make sure to design a nice present for Adrien's birthday while buying him something I know is common for boys' birthdays, after doing internet research first. And thanks to my clones, I easily have enough time to get the scarf ready for B-Day. Goodbye for now, dear journal. Wish me luck."

The End.

(Author's notes: How do you like them apples? Now, the next chapter is kinda The Bubbler, except, well, title rules for my current story and all that. So, see you all in chapter 18: Air Foamer and Gusher.)
