The next day...

At the lookout

Ryder and most of the PAW Patrol were all standing outside, watching the obstacle course that had been there since they were all little pups. Today was the day that AL began his training to begin assisting them in missions, and the first test was about if he was physically capable enough for most of the missions. Which wasn't even a question, as he was a robot, it was pretty much just an excuse to see him try out the obstacle course.

Chase stepped forward, welding his .30 Luger (Which was loaded with a blank round), and waited as AL got ready. As soon as the robotic canine was ready, he pulled the trigger.

*Bang*

All the pups watched as AL immediately began rushing through the obstacle course. As he went through, he was slowly impressing both Chase and Marshall, who were the record holders for the fastest to clear the course. AL eventually finished the course and returned to the other pups.

"What was the time?" AL asked, showing curiosity in how well he did.

Ryder glanced down at the stopwatch he was holding to see his time. "23.8 seconds." Ryder replied, all the other pups looked at one another, shocked.

"And the record is?" AL asked, tilting his head.

"21.4 seconds from Chase." Ryder replied. Chase looked at the Robotic canine and smiled, proud that he still held the record. AL then looked over at the shepherd, with his empty, emotionless face.

"I'm coming for your record." AL told him, this caused Chase to gulp, which caused some of the other pups to giggle.

Soon after, Ryder, Chase, and Marshall continued training AL while the other pups either sat and watched them or separated, going to do their separate things. Zuma and Rocky stepped away from everyone to talk alone.

"What do you want Zuma?" Rocky asked, curious about what the Labrador wanted from him.

"Listen, Wocky, I understand that you hate watew. And If you don't want to, I won't fowce you, but do you want to hang out at the beach with me? Maybe go suwfing?" Zuma asked, giving Rocky a smile.

Rocky thought about it for a moment. The part in him that hated water was telling him to say no but the part of him that loved Zuma was telling him to say yes. Ultimately, the part that loved Zuma won out and he accepted.

"Yes! Alwight dude, I'll see you thewe!" Zuma said before running off, Rocky watched him for a short moment before slowly following behind him.

Meanwhile, in the garage

Sierra was in the garage of the lookout, testing out a new idea she had that let her stay behind at the lookout, but still help her new friends. You see, despite her already being very helpful to the PAW Patrol with her intelligence and new inventions, she wasn't able to help much during missions herself. Rocky was the on-site genius, and the mechanic of the group. However, with this new idea, she was going to be able to help her friends remotely.

Ace then entered the garage and saw Sierra sitting there, holding what seemed to be Ryder's puppad, controlling some kind of drone and flying it around the garage.

"Uhh, hello Sierra." Ace greeted the husky. Sierra glanced over at him and Ace noticed her entire expression change upon seeing him. She immediately turned off the drone and turned to face the shepherd.

"Oh, er, hey Ace." Sierra greeted him back, shyly. Ace looked over at the drone with a confused expression.

"What are you doing down here?" Ace asked as he examined the drone. It was almost the same length as him but much thinner, with 4 circles, one on each corner, that had propellers in them. Almost like a quadcopter.

"Testing out something I've been working on, this'll actually allow me to help you guys during missions. Since I can't do much in the field if I just came along." Sierra replied, she then pulled Ace back away from the drone before turning it on and flying it a short distance with the puppad.

"Woah, pretty cool." Ace said as he watched the drone do it's thing.

"You really think so?" Sierra asked, surprised that he found it cool. She had honestly expected him to either not get it or not like it.

"Yeah. It's a compact, quad propeller helicopter. What's there not to like about it?" Ace replied. "Though I do have one question. Why are you using Ryder's puppad?"

"For testing purposes. I asked Ryder if I could borrow it to test this, which he's already aware that I've been working on this, and he let me use it. I also plan to let him take control of the drone using the puppad mid-mission if he absolutely needs to. Sort of like how Chase can call a drone from his truck with his spy gear." Sierra explained.

"And where will you control this from?" Ace asked.

"Y'know the room in the basement with all the servers? Where all the footage and location data from the puptags are stored?" Sierra asked him.

"Yeah?" Ace replied.

"There's a small monitor in there to access all the data and footage from, and that's also where this drone will be controlled from." Sierra explained.

Ace continued watching as she flew the drone around, occasionally landing it to check on it, then flying it around some more. Eventually, he said goodbye to her and left to let her mess around with the drone some more.

On the mountain, at the resort

Skye was flying through the air, ascending up the mountain to hang out with her best friend, Everest. Once she saw the resort, she began descending quickly, landing outside the large building not too long after. Skye then took off her flight helmet before heading for the resort entrance, ready to see her best friend again.

When she entered, she looked around for the husky she came here to meet, but she wasn't anywhere to be found. Skye checked the kitchen, nothing. Then the hallways, nothing. Then Everest's room, still nothing. She returned to the main lobby, thoroughly confused. She then noticed Everest's jacket and hat was also missing, so she assumed that she was currently on a rescue. Skye went to the garage, hoping to wait for Everest to return there. But when she entered, she saw her snowcat parked there, which meant she must've went on foot.

Why would Everest go out into the deep snow to save someone, without her snowcat? Skye thought to herself, she began getting worried as she reentered the lobby and began searching everywhere again. Once again, no sign of her. Skye then stood in the lobby, thinking for a moment, before deciding that she was going to go find her. Skye ran outside and powered on her jetpack as she began searching around the mountain.

At the beach

Zuma and Rocky were at the beach, playing around, making sandcastles, etc. When suddenly, they both noticed a Golden Retriever walking past them, clearly struggling to carry a large bag on her back. Zuma, being happy to help anyone at the beach, got up and approached her.

"Hey, Miss, you need any help?" Zuma asked, Rocky turned to see who he was talking to before hopping up as well.

"If you could, please." The Retriever replied, happy to accept someone's help.

Zuma and Rocky grabbed the large bag from her and followed her to a certain location on the beach that she wanted to hang out at to relax and watch the ocean. They then dropped the bag and began helping her get everything laid out. Upon finishing, the Golden Retriever was happy that they had help her.

"Thanks to both of you." The Golden Retriever thanked them.

"No pwoblem, Miss...?" Zuma said, waiting for her to introduce herself.

"Name's Angel." Angel introduced herself with a friendly smile.

"No pwoblem, Miss Angel." Zuma replied, returning the smile. He then began walking away, until the retriever spoke again.

"Who are you two? If I may ask." Angel asked, curious who the two random people that helped her were.

"I'm Zuma Bevewly." Zuma introduced himself with his full name. Rocky glanced over at him before doing the same.

"Richmond, Rocky Richmond." Rocky introduced himself. He didn't expect the surprise he got upon doing so.

"Wait, Rocky? The Rocky? From the PAW Patrol?" Angel inquired, shocked at who she was meeting.

"Uhh, yes, that's me." Rocky replied, a bit nervous. I honestly didn't expect someone to recognize me at the beach of all places. Rocky thought to himself.

"I assume you know about my fwiend hewe?" Zuma asked, a little nervous for Rocky as well. He knew the mixed breed didn't do extremely well at speaking when someone brought up his popularity.

"Of course I do, you two are like celebrities!" Angel replied, Rocky gulped, not ready for a confrontation like this. While Zuma, being the extrovert that he was, tried to push Rocky further into the interaction.

Back at the mountain

Skye was flying around, looking for Everest. She was flying over the plateau they were regularly training on, when she finally saw her, doing short flights with her own jetpack. Skye quickly changed directions and landed near the husky, waiting for her to notice her being there. It took a couple minutes, but soon Everest noticed her.

"Oh, hey Skye!" Everest greeted her as she approached the Cockapoo.

"Don't you 'hey' me.' Skye said grumpily. "What are you doing? You know it's not safe to practice without me or Sierra present." Skye reminded her.

"I know. It's just, I couldn't wait any longer! I wanted to fly around some more." Everest responded. "I'm sorry." Everest apologized.

Skye quickly calmed herself down and looked down toward the snow covered ground. "It's alright, just, call me next time. I'll happily come join you. Unless I'm in a mission of course, then I'll join you after." Skye said to the husky.

"Okay, I'll remember to call you beforehand next time." Everest said, lowering her head.

"Good. Now, since I'm already here, do you want to go flying?" Skye asked, gesturing to her jetpack.

"Yes! Of course!" Everest replied, jumping up happily.

"Then let's go!" Skye said as she turned on her jetpack, with Everest doing the same. She then took off with Everest following shortly behind.

The Cockapoo and Husky flew together, trying out different air tricks (Loops, Barrel rolls, etc.) and admiring the view, something Skye especially loved doing. Soon, The two were flying over Adventure Bay itself, and they decided to land on a nearby skyscraper, just to admire the town they protected.

Upon landing on the flattish roof of this particular skyscraper, they both looked around, admiring Adventure Bay, with smiles on their faces. Skye did this pretty often, so she knew how to safely travel around the tops of these buildings. Everest hadn't done this before though, so she just tried to follow Skye as she walked. Eventually, they both chose a specific spot and sat down, looking out at the bay.

"Woah..." Everest muttered, amazed at the sight of the bay. The water was shining beautifully and something about it's calm waves just soothed Everest.

"Beautiful, right?" Skye asked, also admiring the sight.

"Yeah, I didn't know the bay could be so... relaxing." Everest replied.

They both just sat there, looking out at the bay, for the next couple minutes. Until Everest noticed something on the horizon, just barely in her field of vision.

"Hey, what's that?" Everest asked, squinting to hopefully see it better.

"What's what?" Skye asked, confused, as she couldn't see anything unusual anywhere nearby.

"Over there, in the distance." Everest replied, raising her paw and pointing out into the horizon. Skye tried her best to see what her friend was talking about, she still struggled for a moment but then, she saw it.

Large, dark grey, roaring storm clouds were approaching Adventure Bay. Luckily, they moved slowly, but tomorrow was sure to be covered in a carpet of depressed storm clouds, drowning the town.

"We need to go warn the others!" Skye yelled before turning on her jetpack, Everest did the same as soon as she noticed the clouds and both of them made their way back to the lookout, as fast as they could.

Meanwhile, at the beach

Rocky, Zuma, and Angel were still on the beach, discussing different topics about the PAW Patrol, when they all heard a very distinct rumbling of thunder.

All three of them turned to look out at the bay, and noticed an enormous, dark cloud making it's way toward them.

"That's not good!" Rocky exclaimed, stating the obvious.

"Ya think!?" Zuma sarcastically replied before quickly preparing to help everyone get to safe shelter from the storm before it strikes.

Somewhere else in Adventure Bay

An unknown canine, cloaked in shadow, wearing a bright white mask with many blue dots, was looking out their window at the approaching storm, a smile across their face.

"This'll provide the perfect cover for me to 'deal' with that carrier." The masked man said before walking over to a photo on the wall.

This photo contained every member of the PAW Patrol team, including some of the occasional members, like Tuck, Ella, Rex, etc.

"Oh, how the tables have turned, Ryder. Your best friends betrayed the very team they helped rise to international fame." The masked man said, referencing two specific ex-members.

"Y'know what they say, all good things come to an end."

That's the end of Chapter 6.

The Calm Before The Storm (Both literally and metaphorically) is over. With this new storm coming in, The Man Behind The Mask is planning another attack, specifically on the next carrier of this very important 'briefcase'. I wonder what could be in it that's so important to The Architect.

Anyway, until the next chapter, bye everyone.
