A Hero's Life Reboot EP 27: Ben 10 meets Pokémon

"It's an exciting and busy day for our heroes in Chocovine Town. As Dawn concerns herself with last-minute preparations for tomorrow's Chocovine contest. The goal of which, is to win her 4th contest ribbon." "I doubt she's going to win her 4th ribbon." "Don't be so negative, Normie! It's not over till it's over and the episode has just started." Ben assures the blonde as they and Maddie watch TV at Ben's house in the Living Room.
"Yeah... But given Pachirisu is so hyper, I'm not sure using him when the stakes are so high is a good idea." Madison comments as she munches on some popcorn. Ben shrugs. "Well, Dawn has been practicing with Pachirisu. Who knows? Maybe he can pull off a win." Just then, the theme song ended and the episode title is shown as Ben grins. "Man! Pokémon is so cool! And Ash and Pikachu are the best! Ash kind of reminds me of me, sometimes." "You got to love this show!" Normie grins out as they all watch their favorite show.
As they kept watching, Sam came downstairs, reading a book, and noticed the kids, frowning as she looked out the window. "Wow! Those Poffins must be a favorite of Pokemon! Look how happy they are, just when Dawn brought out the bag." Normie states. Only for the TV to shut off, much to their disappointment. "Guys! It's beautiful outside and I think you spend enough time watching Pokémon. Why not go outside and play a game?" The kids smirked at Sam as they knew which game to play: Pokémon.
The trio of 11-year-olds were on the front lawn, sitting as they played with their DSs. "I choose… The Firey Infernape!" Ben declares as he picks his Pokémon. "And I'm going with the electrifying Luxray!" "And I pick Bunnery!" Both boys glance at the female in confusion. "Bunnery? That Pokémon is lame in the games! It barely learns any good moves and it can't take a decent hit!" Madison responds to Normie as she has starry eyes. "I know! But she is so adorable~! Battle!" The kids then start playing with Normie vs Maddie first! With Luxray One-hit KO-ing her Bunnery. She is surprised, glancing at the smug blonde boy as Ben chuckles. "Maybe you're right. Bunnery isn't as good in the game then on TV." "Told ya." Suddenly, some hands grabbed the game systems as they glanced at a frowning Sam. "Guys! This is not what I meant by playing outside!"
"But Sam… We're trying to become Pokémon Masters! So we can catch a bunch of Pokémon! So we can snag the legendary Lake Trio and Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina! There are the Pokémon of Time, Space, and Antimatter themselves, you know." Ben points out as Sam responds. "Guys… There are some things I can't understand in the world, even with my intelligence. And one of them… is Pokémon. Ben, you have weekend homework to finish." "Aw, man!" The Omnitrix welder groans out.
"And you guys got to stop getting too addicted to these things or you're going to get sucked right in and never come out!" Sam heads in as she mumbles out. "And believe me, I know what it is like to get sucked into a video game." "Sorry, guys… Guess fun time is over." Ben groans as he heads towards his room as well, leaving Normie pondering at Sam's words as he grins out, making the purple-haired girl notice. "You have an idea and it involves the Omnitrix, doesn't it?"
"Forget it!" Ben frowns as he turns his chair from his desk at his friends. "It's not going to happen." "Come on! Just use Upgrade! You zapped Sam and you into Jet Force Gemini/Star Fox Adventures with him, before. So, why can't you do it again and put us in a TV show, like Pokémon?" Normie asks as he switches on the TV to the show and Ben responds. "Because the last time was an accident caused by lightning. I'm not even sure I can do it on purpose!"
"Well, you never know until you try. Come on! Please?" Ben stares at the girl's sparkling eyes for a bit, glancing upward in annoyance. "I just know I'm going to regret this…" Ben mumbles out in expense as he dials the watch towards Upgrade and slaps down, morphing into the alien. "But if this ends up in disaster, you 2 are so getting an 'I told you so'!" "Deal!" Normie grins out as Upgrade engulfs the 2 humans and then the TV, focusing on diving into the screen instead of the set as sparks fly out, making the 3 go into the static.
Intro:
The screen is black, only for a bolt of green lightning to make a flash of white light as upbeat music is heard.
Ben stands as he is smirking at the camera as a black with green bubbles background is behind the tween, making the boy raise both his arms and show off his new Omnitrix and then slap down with a grin, making a flash of light.
"BEN 10!"
"He's a kid and he wants to have fun!"
Upgrade with hands on hips appears as a close-up of his face shows up in the background as a bolt of lightning comes down.
Big Chill flies across and freezes as the same thing happens to Swampfire, leaping out of an explosion.
"But when you need a superhero, he gets the job done!"
"BEN 10!"
Shock Rock smashes his fists together, sending out waves of electricity that affect the 4th wall.
"With A device that he wears on his arm."
"He can change his shape and save the world from harm!"
Ben poses with his Omnitrix, just as headshots of Shock Rock, Water Hazard, Big Chill, and Crashhopper show up, one-by-one.
Rath was staring at Grey Matter, who hopped along a bunch of platforms with the watch symbol on it. The tiger alien was confused before it turned into rage as he held his head in anger.
"When trouble's taking place."
Ben was then running towards the screen.
"He gets right in its face!"
"BEN 10!"
Humungousaur, Slapback, Fasttrack and Gravattack's headshots show up as well!
A green circuit board background is shown as 5 aliens show up in a row. Ben is staring at the 4th wall as his right side is shown. The aliens are Shock Rock, Fasttrack, Rath, Swampfire, Gravattack, and 4 Slapbacks.
"When lives are on the line."
The same thing happens with his left side as more aliens appear. The aliens are now: Big Chill, Water Hazard, Grey Matter, Humungousaur, Crashhopper, and Upgrade.
"It's hero time!"
"BEN 10!"
It ends with Ben and Alex, standing side to side with crossed arms and smirks as well as Normie and Madison on Ben's side and Sam and Clover on Alex's side the title appears above.
As the kids got their bearings together, they noticed they had landed in a forest and walked down the path, making them glance around to see Pokémon, all over the place. "Well… What do you know? I can do it on purpose!" Upgrade declares as Maddie smiles out. "I told you that you can do it. And let me go on record to say, this is the most amazing place, ever!" "I know! Check it out! Pokémon as far as the eye can see!" Normie grins out at all the Pokémon they are seeing!
As the kids and alien kept walking, they managed to run into a pink-haired girl their age that has 2 pigtails that ended in curls, red eyes, and wearing a fancy dress. With her is a large, biped, blue-grey, and red shark creature with fins on its arms and back, 2 claws, and black and yellow eyes.
"Well... Looks like we managed to run into more riff-raff, Gabite." The girls frown. The being next to her grunts as Madison frowns. "'Riff-raff'? Look, miss. I don't know what your deal is, but we're not in any mood to deal with you." "Very well, that! Since I'm all ready for a fight, thanks to that little miss perfect, Dawn, I'll have Gabite knock around that ugly Pokémon of yours!" The girl laughs with her hand near her mouth as Normie gets confused and looks around, spotting Upgrade, making them realize that the girl thinks Upgrade is a Pokémon!
"Oh! Him? He's not a Pokémon! He's Be-" Normie stops when he notices Upgrade giving him a flat-eye look as he corrects himself. "Upgrade! He's just Upgrade..." 'Very well... Gabite, use Dragon Rage on Upgrade!" The beast fires a red and orange orb of energy from its mouth, that smacks into Upgrade and sends him crashing into a rock, making him slump down in defeat. "Oooohhhhh…" "What just happened?" Madison spoke out in surprise. "Well… Looks like it's your lucky day." The girl smirks as she recalls her Pokémon. "Since your 'Upgrade' was so weak, it's not worth my time. Want some advice, you 2? Go home. Because the next time we meet, I won't be so nice."
She took off as Maddie went to check on Upgrade as he timed out Normie frowned at the jerk of a female trainer. "Hey! No snot-noised bratty girl tells me to go home! We're going to show that girl what Team Omni-Hunters are all about! And we'll do it by playing her game: A Pokémon battle! We just need to catch a Pokémon, and train it to be super strong! And kick her butt!" Normie grins out as he slams a fist into his palm. Ben sits up and holds his head as he groans out. "I got the tech goop kicked out of me… Ooohhhh…." Maddie points out. "That Dragon Rage was no joke."
Normie responds out. "Okay! First, we go back to our world, get our super suits, and fix Ben up. Then we come back here, capture and train a Pokémon, find that trainer, and kick her butt! So! How do we get back to our Earth?" Normie asks out as Madison has a terrified look. "WHAT?! I thought you knew?!"
"We're officially stuck in Pokémon world, forever!" Maddie cries out as she pulls at her hair with a frantic look. Ben groans out and glares at Normie. "I told you something was going to go bad If I go through this! And this is the proof!" "Calm down, you 2! We can figure this out! We've been in tight spots like this before, and we made it out. I'm sure if we put our heads together, we'll find a way home." Even though the blonde manages to calm them down, somewhat, Ben and Maddie are still unsure.
Normie then starts pondering on a way back home. "Maybe… If we go through the episode from start to finish, we can get out at the end!" "Well… It's not a bad idea. But it's not our best one yet." "Okay… So, this episode is about Dawn and another contest, right? So, we just need to wait until the contest is over and we'll be able to go home." Maddie deduces as Ben speaks out. "Okay! But how are we going to find the Contest Hall?" "Simple!" Madison smirks as she glances at the Omnitrix.
The trio were then flying high in the sky as Ben is Big Chill as they flew high above Chocovine Town. "Have you found it yet? You 2 know I'm on a time limit, right?" "We know and we're looking. Just keep us out of sight. After what happened with you as Upgrade, I think you shouldn't be seen by more Pokémon trainers in alien form." Madison points out, just as Normie spotted the Pokémon Contest! "There! Right there! Found it!" "Okay! Hold on!" Big Chill exclaims as he dove down and lands behind the building, timing out.
They then went towards the front entrance and were amazed by the place. "Wow... Being inside a Pokemon Contest Hall... Now that screams awesomeness!" "True that!" Ben grins as both boys fist-bumps each other. Maddie is more enchanted about the place, only to get a sad look. And before she knew it, Ben noticed and asked. "Is something wrong, Maddie?" "No! It's great! But... I really wanted to compete in a Pokemon Contest, so badly! They just look so cool on TV! But, I don't have Pokemon to compete with." Maddie sighs as she stuffs her hands in her pocket, only to feel something as she pulls it out.
To their surprise, it was a shrunken Pokeball! "A Pokeball?" The girl breaths out as she taps the button, enlarging it. "When did you have that in your pocket?" Normie asked as the girl responded. "I didn't." Just then, the ball opens as something emerges in a flash of white and sparkles. To their shock, out of the light came a Gardevoir! "Gardevoir!" The being cries out. "Whoa! Maddie, when did you get a Gardevoir?!" Normie asked as Maddie stared at the Pokemon as it stared back at her. "I don't know... Wait! I know this Gardevoir... It's my Gardevoir!" Maddie exclaims as the Pokemon smiles and nods.
Looking at each other, Ben and Normie feel around their pockets and pull out Pokeballs as well, making the kids realize that somehow, they were hooked up with their Pokemon teams from the games! "Whoa..." The kids breathe as they look at each other with smiles. "Cool!" Maddie returns Gardevoir to her ball as Ben exclaims. "Problem solved! Let's get you signed up!" "And make sure to kick that rude girl's butt! That's the most important thing." Normie adds as he rubs his hands with a sinister grin at payback.
But just then, a thought crossed Maddie's mind as she frowned. "But guys... I can't." "Why not!?" Both boys exclaim with confident looks and grins and closed eyes as the girl holds up a finger. "To take part in any contest, you need a contest pass and a Pokedex to get it." "Oh..." Both boys dropped and had a realization as they both thought about it. "Yeah..." "Right... Forgot about that detail." Normie ponders at this as he asks Maddie. "Well, when the rules said that having a pass is important, do they mean very important?" "Very, very important! I can't just go out there without signing up! I'll be kicked out and humiliated."
Ben ponders as he looks to the side, gaining a sneaky smile as he thinks of an idea. "Who said you have to use your very own pass? You just find and "borrow" a pass from someone..." "Oh, no!" Maddie dreads the idea as she realizes what Ben is implying as Normie seems to like it as well. 'It's just one contest! It won't hurt anyone." "I can't!" The girl waves her hands as she denies it as Ben finished. "And after the contest, you return the pass to its owner." "But, what if I don't match the I.D.?" Maddie asked, not liking the idea of stealing as she wouldn't do that, even if she was a brat to the spies when they first met. "Then wear a disguise! No one will notice and you'll be able to compete." Ben points out.
But just then, a cough caught their attention. They look over to see a Nurse Joy at the counter, getting their attention. "Excuse me, but I can't help but overhear your dilemma. And I think I have a better solution than stealing. If you want, I can easily sign your friend up with a contest pass, here. And you don't have to use a Pokedex to register her, all you have to do is simply fill out a form." She presents a piece of paper and a pen as the kids blink in realization and then facepalm at the same time.
And so, after Maddie signed the papers and got her pass, along with a ribbon case, ball capsules, and seals, along with a copy of the rule book, the preteen girl was ready to go! Ben and Normie were in the audience, watching as the announcer woman, Marian, spoke in her microphone. "Field of port winds, the north winds, the wharf winds as they carry their songs and dances! It's Contest time! Welcome to the Contest from the town of great people coming and going! Chocovine Town!" The crowd roars with cheers as Marian holds up the contest ribbon. "Here's what our winning Coordinator will receive! The beautiful and coveted Chocovine Ribbon!"
Ben then had a thought as he spoke to Norman while the judges were being introduced. "I just realized something: Maddie had entered a Pokemon contest, to which she had never battled like the anime, never spoken or got to know her Pokemon like said anime, trained before, or even come up with a strategy. Do you think she's going to be okay?" Normie responds with crossed arms. "Short answer: No. Long answer: Nooooooooo..." "Yeah... Maybe we should go check on her?" "Well... Oh, shoot! They're already starting the contest!" Normie points out as the contest is underway!
1st up was Dawn, who had her Bunnery use her Ice Beam to make a corkscrew slide and then slide down on it, using her Dizzy Punch attack to ear stand on the end piece and then spring up to the top, finishing as the crowd and judges cheered for them. "Okay. That was pretty good." Ben comments as Normie nods as well. "Okay! Let's check up on Maddie." The boys nodded as they left their seats and went to find the purple-haired girl.
It took the boys a bit, but they managed to find the room where the coordinator hung out and watched the stage on TV, but found no Madison there. "She's not there! Then where is she?" Normie asked after peeking in as Ben pondered, only to snap his fingers. "The stage! It must be her turn!" They quickly dashed back as fast as they could, making it to their seats, just as Marian called out. "And lastly, making her contest debut, give it up for Madison Luna!"
The curtains part to reveal Maddie, now dressed up in a purple dress that has 2 straps on her shoulders to hold it up and has a hairband with a star on it and a choker that is black with a little crescent moon on it. She has matching gloves that go up to her elbows and is wearing white flats with heels with pink leggings. She lastly has a green scarf wrapped around her waist into a bow. Ben can't help but blush a bit on how pretty she looks.
The girl stares out at the audience, takes a deep breath, and calms her nerves. She then smiles as she takes out a Pokeball and throws it out. "Show time, Gardevoir!" And, in a burst of stars and sparkles is her Gardevoir as she appears with grace. "Gardevoir!" "All right! Let's start with Energy Ball, into the air!" Maddie gives an order as the Pokemon then creates a green and white orb in her hands and throws it up, high. "Use it again and again!" Gardevoir throws more Energy Balls up until there are 5 in the air. "Now, use Psychic to hold them in place!" Gardevoir's eyes glow blue as her telekinesis grabs the orbs, holding them as Gardevoir herself floats into the circle of orbs.
"All right, use Protect!" The Pokemon made a green energy dome appear around herself, as the energy balls were still outside. "Wonder what she's up to?" Normie ponders out as Ben shrugs, having no clue. "Okay! Now spin them around and use Thunderbolt!" Maddie hollers as the orbs rotate around Gardevoir's shield. She then discharges a bunch of lighting from her being, striking the shield as it travels around it, but not shocking Gardevoir since she is producing it. Just then, in a flash of light, the shield turned into a glowing sphere as the electricity hit the energy balls and they got a glow as well, turning into a glowing ring as they kept spinning around, giving the illusion of a glowing planet with a ring as the audience were in awe. "Okay! Now that is kick butt awesome!" Ben grins as he and Normie nods.
"WOW! What a spectacular display! It looks like Gardevoir has become a real-life planet, complete with its ring! Talk about out of this world!" The planet then dispels into a shower of stardust sparkles as Gardevoir floats down next to her trainer and they both smile at each other and then curtsy to the audience. "And graceful..." "Gardevoir." The crowd roars in cheers in response, loving the performance. "And what a performance! These 2 dazzled us with a grand display! And now, judges will like to give their score!"
"Gardevoir's amazing display of control is matched by her grace and powerful mind!" "Indeed! Very remarkable!" "The way Madison and Gardevoir trusted each other with that amazing, yet risky move, shows that these 2 have a strong bond with each other, that can reach the stars!" That's it! The end of the first stage! And the next order of business is to see who will be in round 2! Hang tight, everyone! Back with the results, soon!"
"Great job, Maddie!" Ben grins as she and he hi-fived as Normie grins with his hand behind his hands as they. "You slayed the 1st round with that display! By the way, how did you pull off that trick with Gardevoir? And where did you get that outfit?" Maddie then gains a shy look as she pokes her index fingers and looks down as she blushes a bit. "Umm... Well... It's kind of embarrassing. So, please don't laugh at me. Okay... Whenever I see episodes of Pokemon with contests in them, I pretend to be one of the coordinators and come up with ideas for displays, and even write them down in a notebook, back home and even yell out commands to invisible Pokemon, acting as if they were there and we were practicing."
Normie felt his face twitch as he snickered while his cheeks puffed, but Ben noticed and frowned as he stomped on the blonde's shoe, making him yell as he hopped up and down on one foot while holding the other. "That's cool, Maddie! I'm not the type of person to judge someone, for that." "Really?" Maddie blushed at Ben's statement as he smiled and nodded. "And for the outfit, it turns out there were some spare costumes that can be rented for the contest, so I chose this one because I think it would be really cute."
As Normie's foot stopped hurting, he asked a question. "Hey, I was wondering, how did you get Gardevoir to pull off that crazy stunt?" "Well, to be honest, I wasn't sure I could do it at all! But when I told Gardevoir about my plan, I wasn't sure she'd support and trust me! But after a long moment of looking at me, she smiled and nodded at me, showing that she could trust me. And that's when I remember an important part of Pokemon training: That the trust and belief of Pokemon and trainer is a two-way street!"
Just then, Marian spoke to the audience as all eyes were on her. "Sorry to have kept you waiting for so long! And now's the moment you've all been waiting for! After careful consideration, the judges have chosen the 8 coordinators who will compete in round 2! And they are!"
The results were posted on the big screen as Normie smiled out. "Check it out! Dawn and Maddie made it to round 2!" "Yeah! But also, Jessie and Ursula made it as well." Ben adds out. "No worries boys! After that 1st round performance and all our adventures, I'm more confident to go into battle!" "So, which Pokemon will you use for round 2?" Maddie winks as she giggles. "it's a surprise! You'll have to wait." She went off to prepare herself as the boys went back to their seats.
" that means there's going to be a whole bunch of battles. Usually, when we're on the outside of the screen, they just show bits of the filler battles and the results, but now we must sit through every single one! This will possibly take hours. If only there's a way, we can speed things up..."
But Ben glances to the side at what Nomrie said as he gets an idea. "I'll be back. Just stay and watch." "Where are you going?" Normie asks the Omnitrix welder as he answers. "I've got to go to the bathroom." He then runs off as the blonde raises an eyebrow with crossed arms. "He could have thought of that before we left?"
Ben glances around and quickly runs into a closet, shutting the door behind him as a flash of green light comes from behind it. FLASH
Ben felt his skin turn into scales and became green as his fingers shrunk into 2 with a thumb as they grew sharp claws. He became bigger as a tail sprouted out from the base of his spine and his feet transformed into 3 toes with claws. His teeth became sharp and his mouth stretched out, taking out 2 boomerangs and swinging them around as he unleashes a mighty roar and poses.
Raptor-Rang pokes his head out to see no one around as he exits and shuts the door behind him, turning invisible as he runs off. He makes his way and shows up at the arena, just to see Jessie and Carnivine, battling. "Let's thin out the competition, shall we?" Raptor-Rang grins as he takes out a boomerang and is glad to see his invisibility work on his weapons and turns it into a fire-rang as no one notices.
He chucks it as Carnivine leaps up, scoring a direct hit and hurting it as fell with a thud as 'Jessilina' exclaims. "What the?! What happened?!" Just then, the Hippopotas she was battling slammed into Carnivine, damaging it even more. "Ever heard, Jessie?" Raptor-Rang smirks out as he retrieves his weapon. "Play with fire, you get burned." And with that hit, the timer went off as Hippopotas and his trainer had more points, which made them the winner. Raptor-Rang chuckles out. "One down, one to go."
After that, Maddie was up with her Pokemon of choice: Vulpix! She had it use a combination of Flamethrower and Iron Tail on a Breloom to lay a fire-filled smackdown! Breloom was knocked out as Maddie took her Fire Fox Pokemon in her arms and smiled while they both cheered while Ben and Normie cheered for them as well.
After a bit, Ben is back to being Raptor-Rang as he watches Ursula, and her Gabite, battling a Hairyama. He then took out an invisible ice-rang. "All right, Ursula. Time to put you and your Gabite on ice!" He chucks the ice-rang that nails Gabite's feet, making it cry out in pain as it flinches from the super-effective element of Ice, due to being a Dragon/Ground type. "Gabite! What happened?!" Gabite was then hit by a Force Palm attack, but it was able to stay on its feet as Ursula's points dropped by a quarter.
"How did Gabite get hurt? We didn't see Hariyama land an attack before. And strangely the same thing happened with Jessilina and her Carnivine." Brock ponders out as Ash nods. 'Yeah... Something weird is happening." Normie saw the ice, looked to the side, and spotted Raptor-Rang's shadow as he frowned. "I wonder..." He then took his cousin's "borrowed" spy camera gadget and made some adjustments to it. "Time for a little photo replay." As Raptor-Rang did another ice-rang, Normie snapped a bunch of pictures with the flash off.
"2nd time's the charm." Raptor-Rang grins, only to notice the Omnitrix is timing out, making him cry out. "Crude!" He quickly bolts as fast as he passes by the area where Ash, Brock, and their Pokemon are. Just then, Pikachu's ears catch Raptor-Rang's footsteps as the mouse looks off and spots the alien's shadow, making it curious as Pikachu runs off as well, making Ash follow it. "Pikachu? Where are you going?" The same closet door had a flash of green light come from behind it as Ben got out, looking around as he shuts the door and went back to the others.
Only to be surprised to run into Pikachu and Ash Ketchum himself! "Hi. Did you see anything weird move past here?" Ash asked Ben, who got a bit nervous as he answered. "Uhh... Nope! Didn't see anyone... I mean, anything, weird! Everything is so normal! I've... got to get back to my seats, bye!" He dashes off as both Ash and Pikachu watch him go and blink. "That was weird." "Pika."
"All right, Vulpix! This next battle is going to be tough, but I just know we can do it! Are you ready to wow the crowd?" Vul!" Vulpix smiles as Maddie keeps brushing her fur near the waiting area as Normie is with her, looking over the camera's photos. "I knew it!" He exclaims as both girl and Pokemon glance at the blonde as he shows the camera. "Check this out, Maddie. I filtered the photos I took from that last battle through all the available modes and look at who I caught in X-Ray mode!"
Normie stops on a picture and keeps switching modes of what the picture is shown in. Until it stops on X-Ray mode, showing people and Pokemon's skeletons. But one particular skeleton is shown, even though he was camouflaged. "Raptor-Rang! I can't believe Ben! He should have known: You don't cheat in Pokemon Contests! It's unforgivable!" She frowns with an angry look in her eyes.
Just then, Ben managed to show up as he spoke out. 'Sorry I was late, guys. Got a bit held up, so anything new?" Only to see the small frown on Normie's face, the glaring look in Maddie's eyes, and her Vulpux, who she is carrying in her arms, snarls as Ben is confused. "Is my fly open?" "No! It's about this!" Maddie exclaims as she shoves the picture in Ben's face. "Oh..." Ben blinks as he realizes that he is busted!
"How could you, Ben?! I thought you trusted me!" "I do! I just wanted to help you. I was worried that considering that this the 1st time you've ever been in a Pokemon Contest, or been with real-life Pokemon, you might not do well." Maddie's look softened a bit at Ben's words, but she still felt hurt. "I'm glad you're looking out for me, Ben. But I want to do this contest on my own, with no cheating. So, I'm still competing, but I don't want you to talk to me until we get home. Leave me be, Ben. And by the way, did you want to help or, just to get petty revenge on Jessie and Ursula?" Maddie walks as Ben feels guilty as Normie walks back to his seat. "You screwed up, dude! A real Pokemon trainer doesn't cheat to win. That's something we know from day one."
Ben looks down in sadness as he sits down against a wall as he felt bad. "What was I thinking? I told Gwen and Grandpa that I didn't want to be a cheater and it felt like I went back on them. I've got to apologize to Maddie! Hope she can listen to me after the contest is over..." "And next up: Madison versus Ursula!" "Well... Might as well watch her." Ben shrugs as he stands up to get a better view.
Maddie frowned as she stood across from Ursula on the battlefield, just waiting to start as the curl-haired girl smirked. "Well... I didn't expect you to be here after that thrashing my Gabite gave to that ugly Pokemon of yours. What was its name? Never mind! Hope you're ready for another round with Gabite." Maddie snarls as she responds. "Believe me, curls! I'm more than ready!" "And now for the next match-up! On my left, Madison! On my right, Ursula! The time will be 5 minutes!"
"Okay! Showtime, Vulpix!" Maddie hollers as she throws her Pokeball and the fox appears in a swirl of flames. "Vul!" "Now, Gabite! Go!" Ursula's Gabite appears as both Pokemon stare down one another. "It's Vulpix vs. Gabite! One Pokemon is cute while the other is fierce! But which one will be the winner?" "Looks like it's going to be a tough battle for this Madison girl." Ben was watching from the sidelines, when he heard and glanced over to see Ash, Brock, and their Pokemon were in the same area as well, but hadn't noticed him. "Vulpix's fire-type moves against a dragon-type like Gabite aren't going to do much good." "Guess you're right, Brock," Ash states. "Guess the only thing that can get in there is Iron Tail."
The battle begins as Ursula calls for the 1st move. "Gabite! Use Dragon Claw!" But as her Pokemon charges at Vulpix, Maddie hollers out. "Leap over Gabite and dodge!" Vulpix quickly jumps over the Land Shark Pokemon and flips forward, but Gabite is quicker and slashes at Vulpix in midair! Vulpix was knocked into the air, but Maddie thought on her feet, fast! "Quick, use Iron Tail!" The fox recovers as her tail glows and dives down towards Gabite, but Gabite uses Arieal Ace to land hit-and-run strikes on Vulpix. "Gabite is using its streamlined body to its advantage, landing hit after hit!" "Come on, Maddie! Turn this match around!" Normie calls from his seat as Ben grits at seeing his friend in trouble and he can't do anything about it, even if he wanted to so badly.
Maddie is getting worried and scared as she is not sure how long Vulpix can last as she sees her points are now almost hitting the halfway mark. "Use Stone Edge." Ursula cooly commands as Gabite fires pointed rocks at Vulpix. "Quick! Use Dark Pulse!" Vulpix gathers a bunch of dark glowing rings in her mouth and fires them as a beam, blasting down the rocks as Vulpix smirks. "Yes! Way to go!"
But Ursula scoffs as she smirks. "She should learn her place. Gabite, Dragon Rage!" Gabite let loose another Dragon Rage as Madison hollers out. "Quick Attack!" Vulpix took off at fast speeds, dodging the Dragon Rage and then striking Gabite in the belly, making Ursula lose more points. "Dragon Claw!" But Vulpix blocks the Dragon Claw with Iron Tail as sparks fly from the clash. "What's this? Vulpix blocked Dragon Claw with its Iron Tail! What a courageous, brave maneuver!" "Way to go, Vulpix! That was amazing!" Maddie smiles in praise. "Use Dragon Claw, again!" Ursula hollers as Gabite uses its other claw to knock Vulpix down, making her bounce back near Maddie as the girl is scared. "Vulpix!"
"Not good! Vulpix is now a sitting duck." Normie frowns as Ben gets worried. "Come on, Vulpix! Get back up!" Ursula smirks as she sees a golden opportunity. "Well, looks like we can end this in one blow. Gabite! Use Aerial Ace!" The Landshark Pokemon took off into the air, surrounded by streams of white as it dived down towards Vulpix! "Uh-oh! It looks like Gabite is ready to take down Vulpix as Vulpix is struggling to get up! is this the end for Maddie and her Pokemon?!"
"Come on, Vulpix! Please! I know you can do it!" Madison cries out in hope as Gabite gets closer and closer as Vulpix struggles. "VULLPIXXXX!" The girl cried out as her voice reached Vulpix's ears and it gave out a loud cry as she felt a second wind, just for her to be engulfed in flames. But just then, the flames turn blue as a black outline of Vulpix is shown as it shoots forward as Gabite like a missile! Gabite was so surprised, that it didn't prepare itself when Vulpix won the clash and slammed the Landshark into the ground, making an explosion of dust as Vulpix leaped out while the audience, trainers, judges, and announcher were surprised.
"Whoa! What was that?" Ash asked as Brock answered. "It looks like Vulpix just learned how to do Flare Blitz!" Ben overheard as he blinked in surprise as he realized this was the break Maddie needed! "HEY, MADDIE! VULPIX JUST LEARNED FLARE BLITZ!" Ben hollers out so she can hear as Maddie glances at him and back at Vulpix while a big smile grows on her face. "Wow! That is so amazing that you can use Flare Blitz now, Vulpix!" "Vulpix!" Vulpix smiles back at her trainer. "What an amazing turn of events for Vulpix! Learning and landing Flare Blitz, just in the nick of time to stop Gabite and causing Ursula to lose some major points!" Marina calls out. Just then, Vulpix grunts as sparks appear on her and she feels winded.
Ash calls out. "Brock, what happened to Vulpix?" "The thing about Flare Blitz is that while it's powerful, it's also risky as it can also hurt the Pokemon using it as well." Maddie noticed and frowned as she realized Vulpix didn't have enough energy left for any more hits. "Gotta wrap this up, fast! Vulpix! Finish with Dark Pulse!" Vulpix managed to gather enough power and fired the Dark-type move and nails recovering Gabite, and sending it flat on its back. "Gabite!" Ursula cries out in shock. The timer went off and all eyes were on the scoreboard.
"And that's time! And the winner is... Madison!" Said girl had a huge smile at seeing her score beat Ursula's by a handful as she jumped for joy. "WE DID IT! We did it, Vulpix!" She scoops up Vulpix in her arms and twirls as she and the fox laugh in victory. "Vulpix!" Ursula doesn't mind as she scoffs it off and embraces her Gabite while Ben roars in cheers. "All right! Way to go, Maddie!" "Nice job! You sure showed her!" Normie calls out in joy.
After that, it was now Maddie vs Dawn, with Vulpix against Pachirisu. The battle was hard between the 2, but in the end, Vulpix won with a well-placed Iron Tail that knocked out Pachirisu, granting Maddie the victory over the contest. Maddie finished petting Vulpix when she noticed Dawn approached her. "Dawn..." Dawn then smiles and holds out her hand as Maddie took and shakes it with a smile. "That was a great battle, Maddie! I say you were amazing today." "Thanks! But to be honest, I wasn't sure if could win this whole thing. But it was great for me and my Pokemon." Vulpix!"
Maddie was then given the ribbon by Mr. Contesta with her Pokemon by her side while Maddie smiled as Marina announced the contest was over.
Team Omni-Hunters made it out of the building while they were talking. "Wow! Winning a Pokemon contest! Now that's something you can put in your resume, Maddie!" Normie grins as the girl is too busy staring at the ribbon in her hand with thoughts swimming around her head. "Hey, Maddie?" She glanced back at a sorry-looking Ben. "I'm sorry for sabotaging Ursula and Jessie in the contest. I should have known I could trust you to handle them yourself. I truly am." Maddie looked at the boy as she took a breath and spoke. "Ben... What you did is hurting. But it is sweet for you to care about me and want to help. But, you should let me fight my own battles, okay?" "Okay." Ben smiles as he understands that Maddie can handle herself.
"Besides..." Maddie continues as she glances at the ribbon. "I've been thinking... Dawn worked hard to get this ribbon and it doesn't seem right for me to just swoop in and snatch it away from her, after training so hard. I'm going to give this to her, she needs more than me." "What?! After everything, you're just going to-" But Normie was stopped by Ben as the boy nodded at Maddie. "If Grandpa Max was here, he said it would be the right thing to do." "Thanks, Ben." Maddie brought out Gardevoir and Vulpix and explained to them what she was going to do and why, making the 2 nods and supporting her decision.
The group then runs off and manages to come across Ash and Dawn as Brock is nowhere, probably either getting supplies or failing to flirt with Nurse Joy or both. "Excuse me! Wait up!" Maddie calls out as Ash and Dawn turn back to them. "Oh, Maddie! Didn't expect to run into you, again. What's up?" "Hey... Listen. I know this seems weird for me to do this. But-"
Just then, 3 large robotic arms swoop in out of nowhere and grab Pikachu, Piplup, Gardevoir, and Vulpix, pulling them back as Ash cries out. "Pikachu!" "Piplup!" Dawn calls as Maddie gasps in shock. Just then, the 4 heard some chuckling as the 11-year-olds got a deadpan look. "Oh, no. Don't tell us..." Ben deadpans as a Meowth hot air balloon shows up with Team Rocket, laughing at the kids down below. "I might have lost the contest, but we still got Pikachu as a consolation prize! And 3 bonus cuties as well!" "Indeed! I say all's well that ends swell!" "And we'll be well rewarded once we get Pikachu and these 3 extras to da Boss!" Meowth grins out as Wobbuffet pops out and salutes.
"Oh, no you don't!" Ash cries out with a glare as he brings one of his Pokémon. "Staravia, I choose you!" Out of the Pokeball comes Ash's Sinnoh Flying-Type. As Ash battles with Team Rocket, Ben glances at his Omnitrix as he nods at his friends. They nod back as he runs off to hide behind a tree.
He activates and dials towards Rath. "What are the chances you'll give me Rath?" FLASH The light dies down to instead, reveal Water Hazard. "Oh, man! What do you have against my heavy hitters?" Water Hazard groans out. "Never mind! I can work with this." Water Hazard leaps and climbs to the top of the tree and leaps out, blasting twin streams of water that soak Team Rocket as they scream out. "Hey! Who sprayed us with a firehouse?!" James cries out, only for the trio of thieves to cry out in surprise at Water Hazard, landing on their basket, and glaring at them. "Your ride's over, Team Rocket!" He used his claws to pierce the balloon.
The TRio screams as the balloon flies all over the place while Water Hazard blasts downward to land safely as they watch the balloon crash into the nearby forest. "Come on!" Water Hazard cries out as the 5 went in the direction Team Rocket goes to get Pikachu and the others back.
They managed to arrive to see Team Rocket had recovered and held Pikachu in an electric-proof cage while the others were in strong cages as well. "Found you!" Ash cries out as Dawn cries out. "You better give Piplup and the others back, or else!" "Forget it, twerpette! We stole these Pokemon, fair and square! So, you can buzz off! Or better yet..." Jessie throws out her Pokeballs, sending out Yanmega and Seviper. "They can make you leave!" "That's right! Carnivine, join the fight!" Only for James to get his head chomped by his Pokémon as he dances around and he struggles as his team just sweat drops and watches. "I said fight, not bite! At least use that big mouth on them, instead!"
"Okay... You got to admit that's funny!" Normie snickers out as Water Hazard gets ready to rumble. "Guess it means it's hero time!" "Not letting you hog all the action, dude!" Normie smirks as he brings one of his Pokeballs. "Go get them, Torterra!" He hollers as out came his grass/ground starter from the games. "Torterra!" "Time to rock and roll, guys!" Normie cries out as both Pokemon and Alien get ready for a battle as the others watch.
Water Hazard starts by firing a twin stream of water as Normie commands Torterra to unleash Seed Bomb as well. As the heroes fought the thieves, Maddie noticed that Team Rocket was distracted and spotted a way to get to Pikachu's cage as she whispered to Dawn. "What do you say we rescue our Pokemon while Team Rocket is distracted?" "Good idea." Dawn nodded back as they sneakily and stealthily made their way around, ducking behind some rocks along the way.
"Quick Torterra! Hold Seviper with Giga Drain!" The green tortoise let loose 3 green energy streams from the rocks on its back that captured the snake Pokémon, leaving it vulnerable to a follow-up Crunch attack. Water Hazard avoided a Sonic Boom from Yanmega and blasted it down with water, making its wings soaked and too heavy to fly. "Carnivine, use Bullet Seed!" The flytrap fires the attack, but Water Hazard slices through the millions of small energy orbs with some whips out of liquid. Water Hazard then slams his hands down on the ground and creates a tidal wave, washing over Team Rocket's Pokémon as they were knocked into their trainers. "Looks like you're all washed up!" "Wow! That is so cool!" Ash cries out in amazement as he starts to like this being, even though he has no idea who or what he is or where he comes from.
Meowth frowns. "Annoying twerps." Water Hazard then leaps up as he delivers some water blasts. "Let's see you stop the first trash-talking guided alien missile, Team Rocket! Aqua kick!" He cries out as he propels himself and lashes his feet out to drop-kick them, only for Jessie to smirk. "More like misguided. Seviper!" The snake Pokémon hisses as it swings its bladed tail while it glows and knocks Water Hazard away into some bushes. "Okay… Wasn't expecting that Poison Tail." BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH "Or that." Ben groans as he glances at his human form.
The others made it to the captured Pokemon while the mouse noticed as Maddie shushed it. "Shhh! Don't worry, Pikachu! We're getting you out!" The electric mouse smiles as the 2 kids as they work on unlocking the cages. But just as they freed Pikachu, Meowth overheard and glanced back and exclaimed. "Hey! Those 2 twerps are trying to steal our stolen Pokemon!" "No fair! If there's one thing I don't like, it's thieves stealing our rightfully stolen Pokémon!" James frowns as Jessie cries out. "Well, I say let's get back our stolen Pokemon!" But while they were busy, Normie had Torterra unleashed an Earthquake that shook Team Rocket silly.
Ben made it out of the bushes and looked as he saw his friends were in trouble as he stood by Ash! Ben decided to heck with keeping his powers a secret as he kept slapping down on the Omnitrix. "Come on! Recharge!" But as Ben hits the core, it starts glowing a more intense green and the 11-year-old is surprised as Ash looks at him and is shocked. FLASH
Ben felt fur growing on him as his eyebrows became pointed. His teeth became fangs as his toes shrunk to 3. Bolts appear out of wrists and neck as the Omnitrix appears on a belt.
Ben shakes his head as he glances at himself. His friends and Ash are surprised as Normie exclaims. "Whoa! New alien!" "Wow! This is unexpected, eh?" Ben spoke out in a Canadian accent. Ben is now a Sasquatch-like alien that has yellow and black fur, along with grey fingers and toes. He has four fingers and 3 toes, as well as two bolts on the side of his wrists and the sides of his head. He has green eyes with black pupils and yellow lightning bolt-shaped horns. He wears a green and white belt where the Omnitrix symbol is located. "How did you?" Ash breathes out as Team Rocket notices the newcomer and turns around.
Maddie glances back and cries out. "Well! Blast them, Ben! We need to get out of here!" "Wait! That's Ben?!" Dawn asked. "I have no idea what this guy does! I never turned into him before." Ben cries out as he taps on the bolts of his wrists. Suddenly, Seviper coils around Maddie and Dawn as they struggle. "Hey! Let us go!" "Starting to hurt!" "Hey! Leave her alone!" Ash cries out in anger as Jessie merely smirks in response. But Ben felt angry the most at his best female friend being threatened like that. He got so angry that his fur was standing on end as yellow electricity surged through his being.
With a yell, he fires a massive beam of lighting from his mouth that nails Team Rocket and their Pokémon, making Seviper let go of the girls and sizzle down with swirls in their eyes. "Whoa…. Now that was cool, eh?" Ben grins out at his discovery as the others are amazed at the display of power. "Dude! You're like an Electric Yeti!" "Make that a Shocksquatch!" Shocksquatch grins out at his best male friend. As the others reunite with Ash and the newly named Shocksquatch, the alien gets an idea as Team Rocket slowly recovers. "Hey, guys? You thinking what I am thinking, eh?" He smirks as they look at the thieves and get it, smiling out as well as their Pokemon.
"Oh, yeah! Let's do it, everyone! Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" "Piplup, Bubblebeam!" "Vulpix! Flamethrower! Gardevoir, Energy Ball!" "Torterra! use Seed Bomb!" Both Pikachu and Shocksquatch charge up their electricity and fire a dual beam of lightning while the others unleash their respective attacks that nail and zap Team Rocket, making them scream until an explosion occurs, sending them flying off into the sky! "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" All that was left was a brief twinkle. "That never gets old." Normie smiles out.
After all that reuniting with Brock, Ben and his friends took hours to explain themselves. "That is so cool how you can turn into actual aliens with that watch!" "It's called the Omnitrix. Not that hard to remember. But today was an interesting experience for all of us." Normie smiles out. "Yeah... Sorry about trying to sabotage Ursula, before and trying to make Maddie win. She was a real jerk, and she had her Gabite attack me before when I was alien, thinking that I was a Pokemon. But I'm not a cheater at Pokemon competitions or battles of any kind! And I won't ever be!" Ben admits as Maddie smiles at him. "That's okay. It all worked out in the end. Besides, I'm sure Ursula can use this loss to humble herself a bit." Brock smiles as Dawn nods Piplup chirps as Maddie cuddles with her Vulpix.
"Still, we did well work together, fighting Team Rocket." "Yeah, Ben." Ash smiles as Pikachu gives a thumbs-up to Ben. As they kept talking for a bit as they left town, they heard a noise in front of them as a green and white vortex showed up. "Guess that's our ride home." Ben smiles out. "You guys are leaving? But we have just gotten to know you." Dawn said in sadness as Maddie smiled. "I know… But we have our own home to get back to." "And our own families as well!" Normie adds out. "Can't argue with that." Brock nods in affirmation.
"By the way, Dawn, I want you to have this." Maddie then gave the ribbon she won as Dawn was surprised. "The Chocovine contest ribbon? But I can't accept this! You and your Pokemon won it, fair and square." "I just wanted to enter the contest for fun, I didn't expect to win it. Besides, you need more than me." "Wow... Thanks, Maddie." both girls hug each other as Vulpix and Piplup smile at each other. Maddie then returned her Pokemon as she was ready to leave.
Ben smiles as he holds his hand up and Ash clasps it in a strong-man style. "It was pretty sweet meeting and teaming up with you, Ash Ketchum. Even if it was for a short while. Let's do this again, sometime." "Hey! I'm all about meeting and helping a new friend. And thanks for helping me get Pikachu back." "Pikachu!" The mouse cries out in joy. "See you again, Ben Tennyson." They all say their goodbyes as Team Omni-Hunters enters the vortex and it disappears in a flash of light.
In Ben's bedroom, the TV flashes on as the kids emerge in a flash of light. "We're back home!" "Told you both we'll make it back, A-OK!" Ben smirks at Normie as Maddie sighs. "That was great, guys!' She then feels her pockets, only to be saddened at feeling nothing as she gets out her DS and turns it on to see her Pokemon team. "It's too bad our Pokemon couldn't come with us." "Well, they belong there, Mads. Besides, I got a couple of ideas on how to get back, based on our visit." Ben smiles as he is okay with visiting the Pokemon world every now and then.
"We saved Pikachu and the other Pokemon, sent Team Rocket packing, met Ash Ketchum, saw a Pokémon Contest in person, learned a lesson about cheating in Pokemon contests, and even got a new alien in my roaster!" Ben grins out as he selects Shocksquatch's icon. Normie then points out, "Still, it's a nice day. How about we try playing outside for real?" "Well, at least there are no giant snakes, dragonflies, and living flytraps in Beverly Hills." Maddie giggles. Ben smiles as the trio rushes outside to enjoy the day but won't forget their adventure in Pokémon world and meeting their new friends.
