It's time for part 2 of this mini break arc, where it will give some confirmed shippings as well as give some background to a mysterious character. This will also have some romantic moments, as well as some minor emotional moments, but this will be the "cute" part of this story, or at least the first. This is also the longest chapter so far at over 7,000 words!
Also a quick disclaimer: The guppies in this universe are about 12-14 years old, just to point out. But besides that, let's get started.
Chapter 10: Girl Time!
Previously, all the guppies split up to explore the town before meeting up at a restaurant at 6:00 PM. Molly and Deema decided to go to the art gallery to check out the paintings there. When they arrived, they saw all the paintings, which had pictures of the snow-like environment, as well as completely original.
"Wow! These paintings are so beautiful, I might just love every single one here!" Molly said in excitement.
"I know right? I would like to meet whoever painted these, as they're all amazing!" Deema said.
"Hello? Is someone there?" someone said from a room. She walked out to them. She was an adult female guppy with blue hair, an orange and red tail and one piece bikini.
"Hi there! I'm Molly, and this is my friend Deema. Did you do all these paintings?" Molly asked her.
"Why yes, I am! My name is Anne, and I'm the painter of this town and owner of the art gallery" Anne introduced herself.
"How did you manage to do all of these paintings?" Deema asked Anne.
"Well, I'm sorta known as "The Picasso" of the town. I've been painting since I was 10 years old, and my skills have gotten better since" Anne explained to them.
"You can say that. These all look like they would belong at a museum!" Deema exclaimed.
"Thank you! If you girls want, I could give you a tour of the place" Anne offered them.
"Yes please!" they both shouted.
Anne smiled and told the girls to follow her. She showed them around the place, which included her paintings that she'd done over the years. Molly and Deema were astounded by the detail of the paintings Anne had done, Deema especially, as she had never seen something more beautiful than she had seen before.
"How did you start painting anyways Anne?" Deema asked her.
"I'm glad you asked. I was inspired after my mother's ability to paint. She was the best painter I can think of, and I always wanted to be like her, so she taught me how to paint. I was very good at it, although my mom was always one step ahead of me" Anne explained.
"Wow, your mom must've been really good at painting" Deema said.
"Indeed she was. I always looked up to her as my idol, and when she said I was at the talent of hers, I was so happy" Anne said happily. While this was happening, Molly was looking around at the paintings when she noticed a painting of Anne and another woman that looked just like her. She was curious about this and asked Anne about it.
"Um…excuse me Anne?" Molly went up to her.
"Yes Molly?"
"I noticed a painting of you with someone else. What's that painting about?" Molly asked while pointing at the painting. Anne stared at the painting with a sad look.
"It's a painting of me…with my twin sister" Anne said with guilt. Molly and Deema were surprised to hear that.
"Wait, if you painted you and your sister, does that mean something happened to her?" Deema asked her curiously.
"I painted that to remember her" Anne said to them. The girls were shocked and stood there, realizing what had happened.
"Anne…Is your sister-"
"(sigh) Yes, she died a few years ago because of a genetic disorder when we were born. I didn't have it, but my sister Una did" Anne explained. Molly and Deema didn't know what to say.
"What was she like?" Deema asked Anne.
"She was the best sister anyone could ask for. We did everything together. We played with each other, went on adventures in the snow, and even pulled a few pranks. We were the bestest of friends. She died when we were 25 years old, but I managed to paint one last painting of us together as a gift for her, but now I use it to remember her, and let her know that I still love her" Anne explained to them.
"I'm sorry about that Anne, and I know how you feel…" Molly said to her.
"Do you two have siblings?" Anne asked the girls.
"I have an older brother and a younger sister, who I both care for dearly" Molly explained.
"While I do have an older sister who won't stop overprotecting me, I do also have two younger brothers too" Deema told her.
"You two are lucky that you still have your siblings with you" Anne said with sadness.
"Hey, it's OK, we're actually trying to save our families. Pyros is taking over…our…home" Molly said while stopping herself briefly.
Anne wasn't aware about why the guppies are here, so she was shocked by that information, but before she can say something, she gets a notification on her phone.
"Sorry girls, but I have to get back to work now. It was nice meeting you two though!" Anne said before turning around.
"Wait Anne!" Deema said to her.
"What is it Deema?"
"I was hoping…maybe you could possibly let us try painting?" Deema asked.
"Yeah, it could be fun" Molly says.
"I don't know, I have to work on my next painting though" Anne said with hesitation, but then sees the look of the girl's eyes, full of determination.
"OK, you girls can try painting" Anne said. "Follow me" she said, walking down a hallway.
"This is so exciting Molly! I've always wanted to get better at painting" Deema said with excitement.
"I know right? Maybe I could tone my drawing skills. I do want to be a good artist someday" Molly said to her.
When they got to the room, they saw that it was full of materials needed to paint like easels, brushes, markers, colored pencils and…paint. Anne was over by an easel and told the girls to go to one of them. Molly and Deema put on aprons so they wouldn't get paint all over them. Anne then swam up to them and started teaching.
"OK, so while I learned to paint, my mother taught me some techniques to help me get better at it. One of these was to make sure you stay off where you want specific colors to go and to be gentle, while also smooth, like this" Anne explained and demonstrated. She took her brush and smoothly moved across the paper, while avoiding spots where another color was going to go.
"Wow, that's amazing!" Deema said with amazement.
"It helps you remember where you want to paint next, while also being sure that what you're doing is right" Anne said. "Another technique is to dab a few times, and then brush over it to spread it out" she said. Molly and Deema copied her, as well as doing a bit of their own techniques.
"Impressive girls. I have a challenge for you" Anne said to them.
"What is it?"
"I want you to paint something from your past. I can be anything that made you happy" Anne explained to them. They both look at each other.
"Got it!" both girls say as they begin to paint.
A couple hours pass, and Anne decides to go check on the girls to see how their progress was coming along. When she entered, she found both girls nearly done with their paintings.
"Almost…finished…done!" Deema said exhaustedly. Molly was also tired, but was still going. She then finished her painting, and fell over.
"Phew…that was…exhausting, but I'm glad we finished…" Molly said to Deema.
"Yeah, don't…know how much longer I could go before I dropped" Deema said dramatically. They both laughed. Anne saw how much they care for each other.
"Well, it seems you finished, so let's see them" Anne said. The girls got up and showed Anne their paintings.
"Oh my! These are amazing! I'm actually impressed by your skills, girls" Anne told them, making both blush slightly. "Now, could you tell me what you painted and why?" she asked them.
"Well, I drew myself as the big bad wolf in a play, because it was the closest I've gotten to my goal of one day being an actress" Deema explained.
"I must say, you seem to be one scary wolf, so maybe that is possible" Anne told her. Deema's eyes sparkled. "And what about you Molly?"
"Me? Well…I drew me and my brother Mason together with me holding my little sister Mia. It was the happiest moment in my life, the day I became a big sister to Mia…I love her…with…everything" Molly said, starting to tear up.
"Molly…are you OK?" Anne asked. Deema got worried.
"Oh yeah…I'm f-f-fine…perfectly fine" she said crying until she couldn't hold it.
"Molly…" Deema said before Molly let it all out. She broke down in tears on the floor, and couldn't stop. Deema went to hug her.
"She misses Mia and Mason, and she's been trying to hide it" Deema explained. "It's OK Molly" Deema said to her.
Molly gets up and hugs Anne while still crying hard. Anne hugs her back, not knowing of how much she misses her, so this was almost heartbreaking for her. She hugged her for a few minutes, to let Molly get it out of her system.
A few minutes later, Molly is still crying but less, and Anne takes this moment to comfort her.
"It's OK Molly, I'm sure they're fine. You will save them, and they're counting on you to save them and the entire world. They're probably thinking about you right now, and they know you can do it, and so do I" Anne explains. Molly smiles slightly, but still crys.
"Deema, could you help?" Anne whispers to her.
"No…I'm fine now (sniff)" Molly said, wiping her tears. "I just (sniff)...really miss them" she said with tears.
"But you're right. I have to save my family and the world, because they all are counting on us" Molly said confidently.
"Uh Molly, it's already 4 PM" Deema said.
"WHAT?! Already? We have to go, now!" Molly yells. The two say goodbye to Anne and prepare to leave, but Anne stops them.
"Wait girls! Would you like me to drop these off at the hotel you're staying at?" Anne asked them
"Yes please!" they both say.
As Molly and Deema leave the place, Deema notices that Molly is still a little bit upset about her family.
"Hey Molly, I miss my family just as much as you do, so I want to save them badly too. But I'll always help you save yours too, because that's why we're best friends, because we relate to each other, and will be there when the other is down" Deema explains to her pink-haired friend as she was stopped by a hug from Molly.
"Thanks Deema, thank you for helping me" Molly thanked her.
"No problem girl!"
The girls continued swimming down the streets of the town, when the saw Oona and Zooli near them.
"Hey, there's Oona and Zooli!" Deema pointed.
"Yeah, I wonder what they're up to," Molly said.
Oona and Zooli had just gotten out of the pit they had fallen in, so they were still talking about it.
"Who puts hole for a thief to fall into? I mean, anyone can fall into that, it's a worse defensive tactic than disguises" Zooli said.
"Calm down Zooli, I'm sure she didn't mean for us to fall in there. People have been stealing her stuff" Oona said.
"Yeah, but-" Zooli said before being cut off.
"Hey girls!" Deema yelled at them.
"Molly, Deema!" they both shouted and swam over to them. The girls reunited and hugged each other.
"You won't believe this, but we just left the animal hospital, and then fell into a pit someone made to trap thieves!" Zooli explained to them.
"Oh my, you two must've had a hard day! Me and Deema just left the art gallery, and we even got to paint something! The owner is delivering it to our rooms at the hotel" Molly explained to them.
"Wow really? I wish I was there" Oona said.
"Hey, have you two seen the boys at all? Haven't heard from them in a while" Deema asked them.
"We were just at the carpenter looking for them, but the owner said that they left a while ago, so they must've went somewhere else in town" Zooli said.
"Hey girls, we still have 2 hours until we have to be at the restaurant, so we still have some time to kill, so you know what this means?" Deema said while smiling. The girls smile at each other.
"GIRL TIME!" they all scream loudly.
"What should we do first?" Molly asked.
"Hmm I don't know, there aren't many places around here that would interest us" Oona said.
"I have an idea…" Deema said with a mischievous tone.
"What is it Deema?" Molly asks her.
"I saw a clothing shop over there, so I was thinking. Who here wants to have a fancy date night with the boys? It'll be fun!" she asks them.
"That's a great idea Deema! I love date nights!" Molly said with excitement. "I'll text Gilly and let him know!'
"Me too! It would be my first time doing this!" Oona excitedly said.
"Yeah…date night" Zooli said with a sad tone.
"Oh yeah, Zooli doesn't have a date" Deema said.
"Well actually, after we left we-" Oona tried to say before Zooli gave her a serious look, which stopped her. Molly and Deema didn't question it.
"I'm sure you'll be fine, Zooli" Molly said.
"Well what're we waiting for? Let's go girls!" Deema shouted.
When they arrived at the building, they're amazed at all the dresses and clothes everywhere. There were fancy dresses, regular clothes, winter clothes, even bathing suits. Running the place at the counter were two adult female guppies. One had light blue hair, a red and yellow striped tail, and a red one piece bikini. The other had red hair, with a pink tail and bikini. Both were wearing winter clothes.
"Welcome to Dressing Galore, where there is every type of clothes you might need! My name is Emily, and this is Ivy" Emily introduced them to the girls.
"Hi there!" they all greet them.
"Say, I recognize you four" Ivy said.
"You do?" Molly said.
"Yeah, you're the ones those boys were talking about having a date night" Ivy said.
"Heh, guess they beat us to it" Deema jokingly said.
"Do you happen to know where the dresses are?" Oona asked them.
"Yes! They're right over there! Good luck, and have fun on your date!" Emily told them. They all thanked them and went to go split up to look for dresses to wear, even Zooli, but mostly because Oona forced her.
Oona and Zooli were looking around to look for something to wear. Oona was trying to find something Nonny might like her wearing, while Zooli was just trying to find something, when she spotted a familiar person nearby. It was Cryo, who was searching for clothes to wear. Zooli panicked and hid behind Oona.
"What's wrong Zooli? You seemed worried" Oona asked her friend.
"It's Cryo, he o-over th-there" Zooli nervously said, pointing to him.
"You should go talk to him, Zooli, maybe he'll want to go with you!" Oona encouraged her.
"No! I can't Oona!" she replies.
"Zooli, you eventually have to do it before we leave the town tomorrow" Oona told her.
"I just..can't! I'm too nervous to talk to him. What if he thinks I'm weird and says no, as well as what the others would think of me liking someone related to Pyros" Zooli explained to Oona. She thought about that for a moment.
"Zooli, I'm sure that they'll understand once we tell them, because if Lady Snowa adopted him, then it will be okay, I promise" Oona said to her with confidence. Zooli gulped, but got the courage and swam over to him.
"H-hey Cryo" Zooli said to Cryo, which startled him, but luckily he recognized her.
"H-hi Zooli" he quietly said.
Both guppies stood there for a moment, not sure what to think or say to each other until Zooli decided to say something.
"What are you doing here?" Zooli asked him.
"I'm shopping for clothes to wear, what are you doing here" he asked her.
"I'm also shopping for clothes, but mainly for a date night with my friends, even though I don't have one" Zooli told Cryo. They both awkwardly stare at each other weirdly, looking away from each other briefly.
"Hey, Zooli?" Cryo said.
"Yeah?"
"I have to ask. Why were you acting so weird around me earlier?" Cryo asked her, which made her back up.
"I d-don't kn-know what you're t-talking about" Zooli said nervously.
"Zooli, you're hiding something. You can tell me, I won't say anything" he said.
"(sigh) Okay. Cryo, I have a crush on you!" Zooli quickly said, which Cryo blushed slightly.
"I sh-should g-go now" Zooli, said, embarrassed and tried to leave.
"Wait Zooli!" Cryo said. Zooli turned around.
"I was wondering…would you like to…hang out with each other?" Cryo nervously asked her. Zooli blushed darkly at this.
"S-sure. I'd loved to" she said to him happily.
Meanwhile, Molly and Deema were busy searching for dresses to wear. They were looking at the fancy ones, to see which ones would fit them the best.
"Which one would you think looks best on me Molly? This one, or this one?" Deema asks her friend.
"Hmm, I don't know, you decide which one, I can't" Molly said. Oona then came up to them.
"Hey Oona, where's Zooli?" Molly asks her.
"Oh she's over there" Oona said, pointing to her talking with Cryo.
"Oh my god, is that what I think it is?!" Deema asked.
"Yep"
"EEEEEE I'm so happy" Deema yelled quietly.
"Awww, that's sweet, what's his name Oona?" Molly said to her.
Oona was quiet at first, but then took a deep breath, ready to tell them the truth. "OK, I'll tell you, but you have to promise me you won't freak out okay?" Oona asked them. They both confusingly nodded their heads.
"His name is Cryo, and he's the son of Pyros" she said. Molly and Deema's faces went from excited to confused.
"He's what?!" Molly quietly says.
"It's fine Molly, trust me please" Oona said, trying to reason with Molly.
"No, it's not fine. Zooli is in love with the son of our enemy! That can't happen" Molly explained to her.
"But you don't even know why he's here!" Oona said.
"I don't think that matters Oona. He's the son of Pyros, so that can't be good" Deema told her.
"Just let me explain OK? She asked them.
"Fine" Molly said.
"Cryo had ran away from his dad because Pyros tortured him because he has both fire and ice powers. He came here and was adopted by Lady Snowa, so he has a reason for being here. Please think about this" Oona explained to them.
"Molly, if all that happened, then I think that he's fine now. We wouldn't want us to look like Pyros right?" Deema asks Molly.
Molly looks at them both again. Zooli and Cryo were talking and laughing with each other, which Molly couldn't resist them both"
"Alright, I'll let it slide, but if anything bad happens because of him, it's over" Molly said to them.
"Fine Molly" Oona annoyingly agreed with her. She swam over to them.
"Hey Zooli, did you find anything yet?" Oona asked her.
"Not yet Oona, I'm still talking with Cryo" she replied.
"Hey I know you, you were that other girl" Cryo said to Oona.
"Nice to see you again Cryo!" Oona kindly greeted him.
"Say Oona, you didn't happen to tell the other girls about this, did you?" Zooli asks her. Oona backs up a bit, and guiltily shakes her head yes.
"Oona!" Zooli yelled.
"What? They had to know eventually" Oona told her.
"Who's they" Cryo asked. Deema and Molly then came over, which Cryo backed up at the sight of Molly.
"I'd knew you'd find someone eventually Zooli" Deema said, giving Zooli a shoulder bump.
"Hey you okay Cryo?" Zooli asked him.
"Is she your friend?" Cryo asked, pointing to Molly.
"It's okay Cryo, she already knows your story, so she won't hurt you" Oona told him. Molly swam up to Cryo.
"Cryo, I understand why you're scared, but I'm not going to harm you, I promise. It's clear to me that you like Zooli, and she likes you, and I'm sorry about what you went through, but I promise that I won't hurt you" Molly said to Cryo, which cheered him up. Molly held out her hand, and her and Cryo shook hands.
"Uh girls, It's already 5 PM, we better hurry" Deema pointed out.
Oona gave Zooli a look to ask Cryo, and Zooli shook her head no.
"Come on Zooli, you have too" Oona whispered.
"Yeah, you can do it!" Deema whispered to her. Molly nodded her head. Zooli sighed and went up to him.
"Hey Cryo, I was wondering if…you would like to be…my date?" Zooli nervously asked him. Cryo and Zooli blushed at each other, before Cryo said something to her.
"Sure, I-I'd loved too, it sounds fun" he said to her.
"AAAHHHH" the girls quietly screamed like fangirls, which annoyed Zooli, but she didn't care.
"Hey girls, could you let the boys know that I'll be a little late? I want to shop for clothes with Cryo and hang out before we go" Zooli asked them.
"Sure Zooli, we can do that" Molly says.
"We better get shopping girls, we got a date tonight!" Deema said as they went to go find clothes.
It was 6 PM, and the boys were waiting at the restaurant for the girls. Gil had a black tuxedo with a blue tie. He also had a purple flower on his shirt. Goby was wearing a black tux,, and a necklace and a green tie. Nonny was also there, wearing a black tuxedo with an orange tie, and had a flower on his shirt. They all fixed themselves, did their hair, pretty much everything to be ready for the date. They all also had rings on their fingers
"When are they going to be here, it's past 6 PM" Gil wondered.
"I don't know man, maybe they forgot to come here?" Goby asked.
"I don't think so, maybe they're just late" Gil told him.
"Miss me Gilly?" Molly said to him. Her and the other girls arrived. Molly was wearing a sparkly blue dress with a pink flower and necklace. She also had golden earrings as well as a blue ring on her finger. Her hair was also fixed, being in a ponytail. Deema was wearing a golden yellow dress, with blue earrings and an orange ring and necklace. She, along with the other girls, had applied makeup on to make themselves look more pretty. Oona was wearing a purple and indigo dress, with white earrings and a flower on her shirt, as well as a sapphire ring on her finger. Her hair was also fixed, keeping her star on her head, but getting rid of her pigtails, and letting her hair flow down. They all went to their respective boy.
"I see you decided to go fancy Gilly, you look so handsome" Molly complimented him.
"Thanks Molly, you look beautiful too! I love what you did with your hair" Gil complimented her.
"Aww thanks Gilly" Molly said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I gotta say, it's nice to see you all fancy pantsy now" Deema said to Goby.
"You're one talk Deema, this is our first time doing this" he told her.
"Well then, let's make it a memorable one!" she happily said to him.
"Hi Nonny, I love the way you look. You look so handsome in that suit" Oona complimented him.
"T-Thanks Oona, you look pretty too. Your hair looks nice when it's down" Nonny said to him.
"Thank you Nonny, I decided to do it for this occasion" Oona said giggling.
"Say, where's Zooli? I thought she'd be here?" Goby asked.
"She said she would be a little late, because she was shopping for something to wear, and getting some time to know her date" Deema explained.
"Date?" they all asked confusingly. They girls winked at them.
When the guppies entered each other, they see that the place was full of people at every corner, and it looked like nothing they had seen before.
"Wow, this place sure is fancy" Deema commented.
"Are you the Bubble Guppies? Lady Snowa placed a reservation for you all" the hostess said.
"Yes, we are indeed" Molly told her.
"Right this way then" she said. She brought them to a table, and each couple sat next to each other. All of them were nervous because it was their first time doing this, but they held it together. The waitress shows up.
"Good evening, I'll be your waitress for today, it's nice to have you all here. Lady Snowa has said a lot of nice things about you all" the waitress said.
"Thank you!" they all said.
"We are running a special today, where all couples get a half price discount if they eat the same meal, so if you are ready, you can order your food" she explained to them. The guppies looked at each other, and agreed to eat with their date. They all ordered their food, and the waitress was about to leave.
"Thank you for ordering, your food will be here soon"
"Hold on, we're still waiting for our friend to arrive!" Oona quickly said.
"And when will they be here?" the waitress asked.
"I'm here guys! Sorry if we're late" Zooli said. She and Cryo arrived at the place. Zooli was wearing a black dress with purple earrings and a necklace with her fathers dog tag on it, as well as an amethyst on it. She also had a ring too. Cryo had a black tux with a red and blue tie. He also had a red ring around his finger, as well as a purple flower on his shirt.
"Hi everybody, sorry we're late, we just stopped to get to know each other before we came. This is Cryo"
"Hi everybody" Cryo nervously greets them.
"Hi Cryo!" they all greeted him.
They both sat down next to each other and ordered their food, which they will share. The waitress then left them to talk.
"So Zooli, where did you meet Cryo?" Goby asked her.
"Well, me and Oona met him after we left the animal hospital. He's the son of Pyros" Zooli told them. The boys started awkwardly at her.
"But it's okay. Pyros did some bad things to him, and he came here to seek shelter from his dad, where he was adopted by Lady Snowa" Zooli told them his story.
"No one beside my sister had shown me kindness until I met Lady Snowa. She took me in after hearing what had happened. Her sister wasn't fully convinced, but after a while, she started to accept me. She was the only one here who was nice to me until I met Zooli. She showed me that anyone can be kind if they try" Cryo told them.
"I told Cryo about how we're stuck here until Molly completes the temples to master her powers. He even told me that he knows some shortcuts to the temples, so he can show us the way because of a map he found that shows the secret paths" Zooli explained.
"Really? That's great news Zooli! This will make all this traveling sooo much easier" Deema dramatically said.
"Molly, is it okay if Cryo joins us to the temples? Someone like him who knows the way could be helpful" Zooli asks Molly.
"Hmm, I guess so, it could be helpful to have someone who knows the way. Sure Zooli, he can come with us" Molly tells her. Zooli hugs Cryo in excitement.
"Thank you Molly" Cryo says to her.
"You're welcome Cryo" she replied.
Their food eventually arrived, and the guppies started eating, as they were hungry. We start with Molly and Gil, who were eating chicken parmesan, which was their favorite when they all went to that restaurant long ago.
"Gilly, I'm happy I get to do this with you. I would love to do this again with you sometime again after all this is over" she tells Gil.
"I agree Molly, this is a great way for me to be with my best friend" Gil says. Molly looks down after hearing that.
"Yeah…best friends" she said to herself"
"Molly…is everything OK?" Gil asked her, snapping her back.
"Yeah, I'm fine" Molly said, giving Gil a quick kiss on his cheek.
"I just want to say, thank you for being there for me everytime, I really appreciate it" Molly said to him.
"No problem Molly, I do that because you're my best friend, and friends always help each other, no matter the situation" Gil told her.
"Oh Gilly, you're so sweet" Molly said. Gil blushed.
"You know, if friends always help each other, then I was wondering if you can help me with something?" Molly said in a flirtatious tone.
"OK, what is it?" Gil asked before something unexpected happened. Molly leaned closer to him, and started kissing him on the lips. Gil was going to break off, but he took in the moment, and kissed her too. They did that for about 30 seconds, before stopping, both blushing darkly. They both laughed at each other.
"You're pretty good at that Gilly" Molly said to him.
"You're not so bad yourself Molly" Gil replied to her. They both went back to eating.
Goby and Deema were eating a salad with steak, since they wanted to have a mixture between healthy and regular food.
"Say Deema, you're being a more quiet then you usually are" Goby says to here.
"BAAAHH!" Deema yelled, spooking Goby, and she starts laughing.
"Oh man, that still gets you every time HAHAHA!" Deema said while laughing. Goby chuckles.
"Even with what's going on, you still haven't changed one bit Deema" Goby said to her.
"Well yeah, just because all of this is happening, doesn't mean I can't be myself and have some fun. You taught me those lessons, and I appreciate that Goby" Deema explained. She gave Goby a quick peck on the cheek. "Think of that as a thank you gift for all you've done to help me" Deema said.
"No problem Deema, and thank you for being there to brighten up my day" Goby said as they both went back to eating.
Oona and Nonny were eating sushi and yakitori, since Nonny wanted to try some Japanese food because Oona is from Japanese descent.
"Thank you for trying this food out Nonny, this is my favorite dish to eat with my family" Oona said.
"You're welcome. I always wanted to try food from different cultures, so this was the best way to try some" Nonny said to her. Oona scoots closer to him.
"You know Nonny, you've been very brave lately on this trip, and I'm proud of you for that" Oona tells him, making the orange-haired boy blush slightly.
"It's nothing Oona, I'm only trying to protect my friends, and that sometimes…I have to step out of my comfort zone to help them" Nonny explains to her.
"Awww, thanks Nonny" Oona said. They both stare at each other before Oona remembers something.
"Hey Nonny, remember last night when Zooli interrupted us?" she asks him.
"Yes, why do you ask?" Nonny confusingly asks her. She gives him a flirtatious look, making the boy nervous about what she was doing. "Uh Oona…why are you making that look?" Nonny asked her before being cut off by Oona. She leaned in and kissed Nonny on his lips. He wanted to let go, but his mind told him not too, and he did it with her for a minute before they stopped. Both were blushing hard.
"That was fun, we should do that more often" Oona said, giggling. Nonny nods his head, and they go back to eating.
Zooli and Cryo were eating a salad to stay healthy, and because they both felt like having a salad today.
"Thank you Cryo for coming here with us, it made me happy today" Zooli said, thanking him.
"No problem Zooli, I felt like this would be a great opportunity to get to know your friends better" Cryo said. Zooli giggled before noticing the ring on his finger.
"Say, what's that ring for?" she asked him.
"This? It's a gift from my sister Alana" Cryo told her, startling her.
"Alana? She's your sister? She tried to kill us sometime ago!" Zooli told him.
"I know, but she was only doing what my dad wanted to avoid punishment, as his punishes can be very severe" Cryo explained.
"What was she like?" Zooli asked him.
"Alana, while she may look like a heartless killer on the outside, she is really a nice person on the inside, especially towards me. She always played with me when I was little, trained me, and even protected me when dad tortured me, although most times she listened to my father and left, but sometimes she didn't listen and told him to stop" Cryo explained.
"Wow, she really does care for you" Zooli said.
"Yep. She's even the one who told me to come here to escape my dad, and no one, not even Lady Snowa knows that. She gave me this ring as a sign that even though we're apart, we will never forget each other" Cryo explained, starting to tear up.
"Hey, it's OK, Alana really does sound like a good person, she just doesn't like to express it i guess" Zooli said.
"Yeah, although she just does what my dad tells her, except if it's to go find me" he said.
"You know what Cryo? We will find your sister and reunite you with her. I will try to get her to change, I promise" Zooli tells him.
"Thanks Zooli" Cryo says, hugging him. They both go back to eating.
Once the guppies finish eating and head outside, they are greeted by Lady Snowa and Glacia.
"Hello kids, did you have fun with your date night?" Snowa asks them.
"It was amazing!" they all said. Both sisters chuckle.
"We're glad you had fun, but it's getting late now, so you all better get to bed now, you do have to leave tomorrow" Glacia tells them.
"Excuse me Lady Snowa?" Cryo says to her.
"Yes dear?"
"Is it okay if I stay with Zooli and the others?" Cryo asks her.
"Please Lady Snowa. I promise we and I will protect him, and he can show us the way to the temples. As long as we're together, nothing can stop us!" Zooli says, holding his hand.
"They do seem to care for each other a lot, maybe it isn't such a bad idea to let him go. He could have some fun" Glacia whispers to her.
"OK, you can join them, but only if you stay by their side at all costs" Snowa says.
"Thank you Lady Snowa!" they all said as they left to go to the hotel.
At the hotel, Oona and Nonny go into the bath and shower, as Zooli and Cryo had already taken theirs. As Zooli was about to get out of her robe, she noticed Cryo on the balcony with his robe on. She's confused, and decided to go up to him.
"Hey Cryo, whatcha doing?" Zooli asks him.
"I'm thinking about Alana. I really miss her Zooli" Cryo tells her.
"I'm sure she's fine, and probably thinking about you right now. She's probably proud you made a friend" Zooli tells him. Cryo smiles slightly, happy that Zooli is with him.
"Say Cryo, would you mind showing off your powers? I really want to see them" Zooli asked him.
"I don't know Zooli, I don't like doing that in public" Cryo said, but he saw the sparkles in Zooli's eyes, which got the best of him. He sighed and fired a flame beam into the air, which amazed Zooli, as she hasn't seen something like that since Alana.
"Wow, you're pretty good at that" Zooli tells him.
"Thanks, my sister trained me to do that, but as for my ice powers…" Cryo said before firing an ice beam into the air. It wasn't as powerful as Molly's ice beam.
"I see…maybe Molly can help you get better" Zooli proposes to him.
"It's fine, I just want Molly to complete the temples with her friends so they can defeat my father" Cryo told him. Zooli and Cryo headed back into the room. Zooli then had an idea, and dragged Cryo onto bed.
"Zooli, why'd you drag us into bed? We aren't even dressed" Cryo said before noticing Zooli give him a flirtatious look. Just as Cryo was about to ask, Zooli covered his mouth. "Just enjoy this moment, OK?" Zooli said in a flirtatious way. Cryo blushed dark. "Wait, are we going to do that, cause I'm not r-ready" Cryo asked scaredly, causing him and Zooli to blush dark. "What?! No, I just mean, you know" she said. "Oh, thank goodness" Cryo said. "Now then, let's have some fun. Zooli said before pulling the cover under, with kissing sounds being heard under.
As Oona and Nonny finished and got their bathrobes on, they heard Zooli and Cryo under the covers.
"What should we do Oona?" Nonny whispered to her.
"We leave them for their fun, so we can have ours" Oona said to him.
"Ours?" Nonny asked her confusingly when Oona told him to be quiet as she opens the door. They both quietly swim to their bed and get dressed. Nonny blushes and looks away from Oona, which she giggles.
"Nonny, it's fine, you can look" Oona whispers to him. He blushed at her as she got into bed with him. He took off his glasses, and Oona kissed him goodnight. He kissed her back, and the two fell asleep.
Soon, Zooli and Cryo come back up. Zooli was about to say something when she saw them asleep.
"Guess they must've fallen asleep while we were under" Zooli whispered to him.
"Better we not worry about it, let's get dressed and (yawn) go to sleep" Cryo said tiredly. They both get dressed and get into bed. Zooli kisses him goodnight, and they both fall asleep.
In the morning, the guppies were up early and dressed already. They were outside and by the path to take them to Coldnic Town. Lady Snowa and Glacia were there waiting for them.
"Be safe kids, it's a long and dangerous path to Coldnic Town. It has lots of dangerous creatures and even has a forest full of carnivorous plants" Glacia explained to them.
"With the map I have, it should shorten our time from a week to about 4 days, so it won't be that long of a travel" Cryo tells them.
"Be safe Cryo, and make sure nothing happens" Lady Snowa tells him.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine, I promise" Cryo said confidently.
"Alright gang, let's get going to Coldnic Town, we can't waste time!" Molly said.
"Goodbye Lady Snowa, goodbye Glacia!" the guppies said.
"Goodbye kids, be safe and good luck!" Glacia said.
The guppies packed their stuff, said goodbye, and started walking to Coldnic Town, home of the second temple. Their group had gained a new member of the Bubble Guppies, Cryo, and now their journey resumes.

The conclusion of this mini break arc. This chapter was fun to do, especially the romantic moments, which gave us some couples spending time together, as well as introducing a new couple: Zooli and Cryo, whose character I explored more in this chapter. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, as the next one will hint at which guppy will be Molly's partner in the second temple. For now, I will answer reviews:
ReaderandWriter9000: I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. It was nice to make a quiet and peaceful chapter that didn't involve big problems. Zooli's loss was a sad one, and may or may not be used against her sometime later in the story hehe. Cryo is an interesting character, and he will play a role in Molly's story. I'm also glad you like Oona's reaction to Zooli's crush on Cryo lol. I hope you're excited for what's to come.
PrimroseRaspberry: It was nice to see them two spend time together, seeing as personally, I think they would relate to each other. Eliza is a mysterious person, and will be a role soon. As for Cryo's fate…well…I won't say anything, you'll just have to wait. And you made me remember, I wanted to give my review of the new BG episode.
My review of "The Jaw-some Sharkventure": I liked that episode a lot, one of the best from Season 6 so far. It was amazing seeing the guppies as sharks, although I would've liked to see Deema and Goby as sharks, but I guess that's up to us to picture. In short, this was a great crossover episode, really hope they do more before the show ends (if you didn't know, the show is ending after season 6 ends:( )
