Bet you didn't expect one this quickly did you? Like I said before, I want to get these next few chapters out before school starts up again, so I wanted to do this quickly.
Anyway, this chapter will feature the return of an old character to develop both herself, and two other guppies. But without spoiling anything, let's get into it!
Chapter 16: Family or Foe?
Molly and Nonny had just left for the fourth temple in Breezy Bay, leaving the others in town. They'd decided to stop at the hotel near to rest up for a bit before leaving to look around town. We come to them just as they left the hotel.
"Phew, that was a well deserved nap," Gil said.
"I agree Gil. I feel more than ever," Zooli replied.
"It felt so weird sleeping in an actual bed after living in a cave for so long," Nelly said.
"Well now that you're with us, you'll be sleeping in a bed for a long time now!" Gil told her.
"So what do we do now while we wait for Molly and Nonny to get back?" Zooli asked everyone.
"We can go look around the town more, that should waste some time while we wait," Cryo suggested.
"Hey, shouldn't we call the others to let them know how we're doing?" Gil asked.
"Good idea! Let me call Deema real quick," Zooli said, pulling out her phone to call Deema, but no one answered back.
"Weird, she usually always answers her phone when it rings," Zooli said.
"Maybe she's sleeping?" Gil said.
"I don't think anyone would sleep at this time," Nelly answered.
"She's probably busy with Goby helping Oona with her tail. After all, it will take time for her to get used to walking again," Cryo told them.
"I guess that makes sense," Gil said. "Anyway, how about you and Zooli go look around, while me and Nelly go somewhere?" Gil suggested.
"And leave her with your bad luck?" Zooli jokingly said. Cryo chuckled quietly.
"Hey! My luck isn't that bad!" Gil said, right before an acorn fell on him. "Ow! There's not even any tree anywhere!" he said. Everyone laughed.
"Right, no bad luck," Zooli mocked him.
"We'll be fine guys. I'll make sure nothing bad happens," Nelly assured them. "After all, I did live in a cave and fend off invaders for 2 years," she added. Bubble Puppy and Snowy barked.
"I think those two are ready to go. Come on Nelly!" Gil said to her.
"Have fun you two!" Zooli said, waving to them. After they left, Zooli and Cryo were left all alone together in the town. They stared silently at each other for a few seconds before speaking. "Soooo…what do you want to do Zooli?" Cryo asked her. "Hmm…ooh! I see an ice cream place over there! Maybe they have Chocolate Caramel…" Zooli said.
"That sounds nice," Cryo said. "Well let's go then!" Zooli happily said, grabbing Cryo's hand as they swam over there. On their way there, they got about halfway there before Cryo saw someone familiar heading into the forest, causing him to let go of Zooli.
"Huh? Cryo, is everything alright?" Zooli confusingly asked him.
"It can't be…," he said.
'What's wrong dude?" she asked him again.
"Zooli, stay here. I'll be right back," Cryo told her before running into the forest. "Wait, Cryo stop! It's too dangerous!" Zooli shouted, but he couldn't hear him. She looked around for a while, trying not to disobey him. "Oh I can't! Wait up Cryo!" Zooli said before running into the forest.
A mysterious figure is seen swimming through the forest, jumping over logs and swinging through the tree branches. She lands in an open area, catching her breath and dusting off her tail.
"Phew, I made some progress, but I still got some distance to go," she said to herself. Before she kept moving, she stopped herself, standing still and looking around. She then threw a fireball behind her, but someone managed to catch it.
"I guess I should've known better to sneak up on you," Cryo told them. The girl was almost jaw-dropped. She took off her hoodie, revealing who it was.
"It can't be!" Alana said, shocked at who it was.
"Alanie!" Cryo excitedly said, running towards her.
"Cryo!" she said back. The two hugged each other hard before letting go of each other, both shocked yet happy to see each other.
"What are you doing here?" Cryo asked her.
"What are you doing here? How did you find me?" she asked him.
"I saw you run into the forest, and I ran after you. I haven't seen you in so long!" Cryo explained to her.
"I thought I told you to stay in BlizzardTucky! What are you doing in Breezy Bay?" she asked him. Cryo then remembered why he was here.
"Oh…right…I-uhm," he stuttered.
"Well, spit it out bro!" she told him.
"Well, you see. The reason I'm here is because-" Cryo said before he heard a familiar voice.
"Cryo! Are you there?" Zooli called out, appearing through the bushes. She saw him with someone else.
"Zooli! I told you to wait for me!" Cryo said to her.
"I know, but I was worried you would get hurt, so I couldn't help myself. What are you doing here, and why are you…with…" Zooli explained before looking at Alana. Both girls looked at each other.
"You!" they both said angrily.
"Oh no," Cryo said worriedly.
"How dare you follow Cryo here with me! I'll teach you not to mess with him!" Alana told Zooli, readying her fireballs.
"Why are you here? I thought we sent you back home to Pyros! Don't make me and Cryo kick your butt again!" Zooli told her.
"Girls," Cryo said.
"I'd like to see you try, little girl," Alana mocked her.
"Girls!" Cryo shouted.
"With pleasure, red-head!" Zooli replied.
"Red-Head?!" Bring it on Bunion!" Alana said.
"GIRLS!" Cryo yelled loudly. Both stopped and looked at him.
"Can you please stop fighting and let me explain everything?!" Cryo asked them. Both put their weapons away, looking away from each other.
"Fine," both said.
"Okay. Alana, this is my friend Zooli. You remember her when you faced her at BlizzardTucky, right?" Cryo told Alana.
"Of course-wait, she's your friend?!" she asked, shocked about his answer. "How could you be friends with our enemy?" she asked him.
"Our? Cryo's on our side!" Zooli replied.
"Enough! Zooli, this is Alana, one of the Sizzling Six. She's also…(sigh)...she's also my big sister," Cryo told her.
"Your sister?! Alana's your sister?!" Zooli asked him.
"Yes, she is, and I haven't seen her in a long time. That's why I told you to stay there. I was afraid you two would fight," Cryo explained. Both girls looked away.
"Cryo, can I speak with you in private please?" Zooli asked him.
"Are you okay with that sis?" Cryo asked Alana.
"Sure, I don't care," she answered. Zooli brought him by a bush.
"Why didn't you tell me that she was your sister Cryo?" Zooli asked him.
"Because I wanted to keep it a secret because I thought you guys wouldn't accept me if I told you," Cryo explained. Zooli was surprised.
"You thought we wouldn't like you?" she asked.
"Yeah. Since she tried to hurt you, I thought if I told you I was related to her, you guys would think I was going to hurt you, so I decided to keep it a secret," Cryo said to her.
"Cryo, I…I," Zooli struggled to say something.
"Besides, even if I did tell you guys, you all would just ask me ways to defeat or even kill her! I just wanted it to be a secret I would save for a moment," Cryo added.
"Oh, I see," Zooli said. "Cryo, we would never ask you ways to hurt your own sister, even if she did hurt us. She's special to you, and we wouldn't want to take that away from you. But you have to tell the others now, before it's too late to say," Zooli explained. "Take it from me. I never told what happened to my dad, and they were confused, but I eventually told them about what happened, and they still accepted me for who I am. So please, don't let this take away our friendship," Zooli told him.
Cryo stared at her with a surprised look. He'd never thought about it that way, and it could ruin his friendship and trust with the others. "I guess when you put it like that, it makes sense," Cryo said. "Alright, I'll tell them once we get back to BlizzardTucky," he told her.
"Thank you Cryo," Zooli thanked him by hugging him. They both reemerged from the bushes, where Alana was waiting for them.
"So what was that all about?" she asked them.
"We were just talking about something," he explained to her.
"And that was?"
"He doesn't have to tell you. It's our secret," Zooli told her.
"You stay out of this girl. This is between me and Cryo," Alana responded.
"Hey! I have a name you know? It's Zooli," she angrily said.
"I can call you whatever I want "Zooli"," Alana said back.
"Not again," Cryo said, face palming himself. "I'm just gonna walk this way," he told them, but they were too busy arguing with each other to listen to him, and he sighed. As he walked down the forest, he noticed a pair of eyes popped out of the snow in front of him.
"Hey there little guy. What are you doing here?" Cryo asked the creature. It then dug itself up to him, and rubbed itself against him. "Hang on, are you?" he said to it. Cryo somehow knew what this thing was.
"Hey, listen, I have a problem going on right now, and I was hoping you could help me fix it?" Cryo asked the creature. It happily grunted. "Nice, here's the plan…" Cryo said. He whispered his plan to it.
Meanwhile, the girls were still arguing with each other.
"I already told you, I'm not telling you what we were talking about!" Zooli yelled.
"Well if you won't tell me, I guess I'll just be on my way now!" Alana yelled back.
"Fine by me! Come on Cryo, let's…Cryo?" Zooli called out to him.
"Where'd he go?" Alana asked.
"I don't know! He was over there just a minute ago," Zooli said.
"He couldn't have gone far, but why would he run off like that?" Alana wondered.
"Maybe he got tired of us fighting, and he couldn't take it anymore?" Zooli suggested.
"Nonsense. He sat there while me and my father argued, so that couldn't be right," Alana replied.
"Well your dad is Pyros, so there is nowhere he could go," Zooli told her.
"Wait, how do you know-" Alana was about to ask before a loud roar was heard.
"What was that?" Zooli scaredly asked her.
"Girls! Help!" Cryo called out.
"Cryo!" Both girls shouted. They both ran into the forest to get him. When they found him, they saw he was grabbed by a large, round creature with raptor-like feet, large hands used for grabbing, a large set of teeth, and a long tail. It roared at the girls.
"It suddenly attacked me. It's immune to my ice attacks, help me!" Cryo shouted.
"We'll get you bro!" Alana said. She attempted to attack the creature, jumping over its tail, but was knocked back by an ice ball.
"Alana! Are you okay?" Zooli asked her while helping her up.
"I'm fine, but why do you care?" she asked her.
"No time to explain, look out!" Zooli shouted as an ice beam was heading right for them.
"Get behind me!" Alana commanded Zooli as she fired a flame beam from her hands, stopping the ice beam. The creature roared and headed into the forest.
"Get back to your friends, I'll get my brother back," Alana told Zooli, but she wasn't having any of that.
"No way! I care about Cryo almost as much as you do, let me come along, please!" Zooli begged her.
"And why should I let you come along with me?" Alana questioned her.
"Because two people are a better pair than going solo. We both also want to save Cryo, and he's special to me in a way you won't understand. So please, let me help you save him," Zooli explained. Alana looked at her. She saw the determination in her eyes.
"Fine, you can come along, just don't get in my way," Alana told her.
"Uck, fine," Zooli said, annoyed. The two girls got ready before heading into the forest.
While they were moving, they each saw how they traveled throughout the lush vegetation. Zooli saw how Alana swung across the tree branches and vines, while Alana saw how Zooli was jumping across the logs and rocks. Alana landed in front of Zooli.
"I gotta say, you move quite fast for someone your age," Alana complemented her.
"Well, I have been on my home's soccer team since I was 5 years old," Zooli told her, slightly blushing.
"That explains a lot, you move well," Alana said.
"I have to say the same thing. The way you swing across those trees is honestly very cool. I wish I could do that. That would make traveling much faster for the both of us," Zooli told her.
"I could teach you right now if you want," she suggested.
"But aren't we supposed to be saving Cryo right now?" Zooli reminded her.
"We can do that while I teach you," she told her.
"Okay!" Zooli excitedly said. Alana helped get her on top of a tree branch, with both of them holding a vine.
"So the trick is to get enough momentum to swing fast across the vines, so you're able to jump to another one and keep swinging, like this!" Alana explained to her before swinging on her fine. She jumped to another vine when close enough, and did a flip onto a branch. "See? Just like that! Now you try, kid!" she shouted to Zooli.
Zooli looked down and gulped, but she was determined to learn. She took a deep breath, and jumped down with her vine, swinging across, but when she went to jump to the next one, she missed her timing, and fell on the snow, getting up soon after.
"That was a good attempt, but you have to keep practicing to get good at it," Alana said from above.
"(sigh) I will, let's just keep moving, I think I hear something ahead," Zooli said. Faint growls were heard near them.
"Let's go!" Alana shouted from ahead. "Hey wait for me!" Zooli shouted, following her.
They ran across the snow for a few more yards before coming to a stop. Alana hopped down to Zooli, who was peeking from behind a rock. They saw five creatures that looked familiar to Zooli.
"Great they just had to be-" Alana tried to say.
"Glinchy's" Zooli interrupted her, saying that with a worried tone.
"You've seen them before?" Alana asked her.
"Yeah, we ran into three of them on our way to the first temple. We had to split up to take them out. I've had nightmares about them," Zooli explained to Alana about their past encounter with the Glinchy.
"So you're scared of them?" Alana said with a smirk.
"Of course not! It's just that they're so big they feel intimidating, and the fact that I almost died last time," Zooli whispered.
"They're easy to take out. You just have to hit them hard enough and they'll run away," Alana whispered to her.
"But I'm not as strong as you Alana, I can't hit them hard," Zooli told her.
"Hey, I saw how you fought last time we met, and you've gotten stronger, I can tell. Even though we think we seem weak compared to others, if we let ourselves go all out, sometimes we can let out hidden strength we need to win. That's how I became head of…uh..I said too much, you get the point right?" Alana explained to her.
"Yeah, I get it, let's kick their butts," Zooli whispered with a determined look. Alana gave her the same look. They shouted and charged at the Glinchy's, catching them off guard. Alana punched one in the face with a fire-powered punch, knocking it down, while Zooli smacked one down with her tail hard.
The Glinchy's, furious, roared and attacked. They used ice-powered claws and strong wind to attack. Alana, having faced these before, was skilled in dodging them, though barely, and landing a strong counter-attack. Unfortunately for Zooli, she's never seen these attacks before, and was having trouble dodging. Alana soon noticed her after making two Glinchy's flee.
"(She must not know what these things do)" she said to herself.
"Help me!" Zooli called out. The wind was knocking her back, and one used its claw to send ice shards at her, but she managed to dodge that.
"That was close," Zooli said. "Now to-" Zooli was then hit it her stomach by the Glinchy's ice-powered claws, which teared into her skin, destroying her shirt, and left a gruesome wound on her stomach.
"Zooli!" Alana shouted. She ran towards and jumped in front of the Glinchy's, and knocked them back with a powerful flame whip. She ran towards Zooli, who had a large cut in her stomach. She opened her eyes, looking at Alana.
"Hold still, let me heal you," Alana said. "She grabbed a bottle with a green liquid, and poured it on her wound.
"You see? I am weak. I couldn't even defend myself from these things the last time. My friends saved me from them, and now I see them using attacks I've never seen," Zooli said with tears in her eyes. Alana was getting annoyed.
"Will you stop insulin yourself? You're not even trying to fight. If I can guess, you have a care for animals, don't you?" Alana asked her. She nodded her head. "Well sometimes, we have to fight the things we love the most. So please, try to take them down. Do it for Cryo," Alana encouraged Zooli. With her wound healed, she got up, and pulled out something not even Alana expected to see.
"No way, is that a?" Alana asked her, shocked to see her wielding it.
"Yes, it's a Temperate Sword, and it can switch between Fire and Ice. I was given it by someone in Coldnic Town after I won a contest," Zooli explained to her.
Flashback
"Congratulations, you won the top prize, Miss Zooli!" the fair man told her, handing her a sword.
"It's just a sword," Zooli said with confusion.
"Not just any sword, it's a Temperate Sword, able to switch between fire and ice mode. Use it wisely," he told her. Everyone was cheering for her.
"Okay, I will! Thank you!" Zooli thanked him.
Flashback ends
"I've been waiting for the perfect time to use this, and now is that time," Zooli said, turning the sword to fire mode. "Let's beat their butts," Zooli said.
"Alright, first to take the most down wins," Alana confidently said.
"You're on," Zooli replied. Alana was staring at the sword with confusion. "(Why would you give it to her, Flynn? Is there something you like about her?)" Alana thought to herself.
The two girls charged at the Glinchy's again, but now they were prepared. Alana used her strength to land hard blows with fireballs, fire punches, and even a falling fire pillar. Zooli used her sword to slash at the Glinchy's, even cutting one's arm off. She proceeded to scream and tail uppercut one, and punch one in the face multiple times. That sent the rest of them away scared.
"I'll be amazed, you can hit pretty hard Zooli," Alana said to her. Zooli calms down, and puts her sword away.
"Wow, you were right, I had to just use brute force to beat them, I'm used to using strategy and speed to take things down, so it was surprising to use something else for once," Zooli said.
"Speaking of surprising, it looks like your wound didn't heal properly. Maybe I used the wrong potion…" Alana said. Zooli looked down to see a scar where her wound was.'
"It's fine, I've gotten hurt before. Besides, I can use it as an excuse to getting into that tough kid place back home-I mean BlizzardTucky," Zooli said. Alana chuckled. "Now, let's keep moving.
They kept on trekking through the forest and snow covered terrain. Zooli was still trying to swing across the vines, and while she was getting better, she was still missing the jump.
"You're getting better, but you still need practice," Alana told her.
"I know, I know," Zooli said.
"Oh, and by the way, we're still enemies, Zooli, so don't think that we'll be good after we save Cryo, we'll just be…closer to each other," Alana told her. Zooli was ashamed, but at the same time not surprised.
"I guess that's fair, we do want to take down your dad, but I think we can at least be frenemies, right?" Zooli told her.
"I guess we can, but if we have to fight, we will," Alana told her.
"Fine by me," Zooli said.
The two girls swam until they came to what they were looking for. They found the creature holding Cryo hostage. He was wrapped up in some kind of ice-like silk.
"What is that thing?" Zooli quietly asked.
"An Abomnitale, a big and powerful creature. They can form silk from their hands and wrap prey up. They also are very tough and strong. Most things here stay away from them," Alana explained.
"I think we better come up with a plan to take this out. It looks like its armor will protect it from our attacks," Zooli suggested.
'No time for that, let's go!" Alana said, rushing out. "No Alana wait!" Zooli shouted, alerting the Abomnitale.
"Sis!" Cryo shouted.
"Zooli, save Cryo, I'll distract it!" Alana yelled. Zooli nodded and went to save Cryo.
The Abomnitale slammed its tail on the ground, but Alana dodged it and launched a large fireball at it, but to her surprise, it did nothing, and it roared at her.
"What?! How did that not affect it?" Alana said. The creature launched ice shards, but she melted them away, giving her time to go behind it. As she prepared to attack it from behind, it used its tail to knock her away.
Zooli was jumping to reach Cryo, but he was too high for her to reach. The Abomnitale soon turned around to her, ready to attack.
"Zooli, behind you!" Cryo shouted to her. She turned around at the creature about to stomp on her, but she dodged it just in time. She pulled out her sword on fire mode, and tried to attack it with the sword, but her attacks did nothing, and the Abomnitale used its hand to punch her, knocking her into the wall, knocking her unconscious.
"Zooli!" Cryo shouted in distress.
Alana got up, still in pain, and saw Zooli knocked out on the floor, and about to be stepped on. She used this opportunity to get behind it and launch a fireball at its back, which greatly hurt it. The roar woke Zooli up, and it turned around at Alana.
"Alana, get out of there!" Zooli yelled to her.
"I said save Cryo, and I'll distract it! GO NOW!" she screamed before being pushed back by a pile of snow. The Abomnitale prepared an ice beam more powerful than before.
"No!" Zooli said. She snuck around the beast, and it fired its beam. As Alana closed her eyes, accepting her fate, Zooli pushed her and Alana out of its way. She dragged her into a bush.
"Why did you..save me? I'm your enemy," Alana confusingly asked her.
"Even though you're my enemy, I'm not just going to let someone die in front of me like that, and you mean a lot to Cryo, and I couldn't let the guilt of letting his own sister get killed like that. Sometimes you have to help others, even if they want to harm you," Zooli explained. "Besides, I have an idea," she said.
"Now what is it?" Alana asked.
"I figured out that thing's weakness, it's the back. It's vulnerable to attacks more than the front, so here's the plan. You use your speed to distract it and get it to stand open, where I'll swing on the vines and land a finishing blow with this shockwave grenade," Zooli explained to Alana.
"But you can't swing on the vines yet!" Alana reminded her.
"It's our only shot left at saving Cryo. We have to try. After all, even though we don't get along just yet, we do have one thing in common," Zooli said.
"Oh yeah? And what would that be?" Alana asked her.
"We both care for Cryo a lot. We both want to keep him safe, so let's do that right now! Will you help me?" Zooli said, holding out her hand to Alana. Alana was hesitant at first, but she saw how she looked.
"(She does really care for him. Maybe I can make one real friend now…)" Alana thought to herself. She grabbed Zooli's hand.
"Let's go kick that thing's ass and save my brother," Alana said with a confident tone.
Zooli began climbing a tree with a vine, while Alana rushed out.
"Hey you big thing! Come and get me!" Alana teased it. The Abomnitale roared and tried slamming its hand on her, but she swiftly dodged it and began attacking, even though they weren't doing anything. She ran around very quickly as it tried to hit her.
While this was happening, Zooli was on top of the branch with a vine in hand. She tried to jump, but she couldn't. She was scared.
"No, I will not let my fears stop me from harming my friends!" Zooli screamed. She swung on the vine until she saw another vine. She took the jump and….she made it! She kept swinging and jumping until she saw an opening. Zooli turned towards the left as she jumped and let go, doing a mid-air flip in the process. As she was soaring, she threw the grenade down, and landed in the snow, yelling in pain. The grenade exploded, greatly damaging the Abomnitale, knocking it down, unconscious.
Alana rushed to Zooli, who was hurt from the fall.
"Hey, you alright kid?" Alana asked her.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just go get Cryo so we can get out of here," Zooli weakly said. Alana went and cut down the thread holding Cryo as she caught him.
"Alanie!" Cryo said as he got hugged hard by his sister.
"Don't you ever run into the forest like that again! You hear me?" Alana scolded him.
"But sis, I did it for a reason," Cryo told her.
"Excuse me? And that is?" she confusingly asked him. But as he was about to tell her, they heard Zooli getting up.
"Zooli!" Cryo shouted, running over to her.
"Hey dude," Zooli said while getting up. Cryo hugged her in relief as she hugged him back.
"You had me worried sick!" Zooli told him.
"I know, I shouldn't have done that, I was about to tell Alanie why I did that," Cryo said to Zooli.
"Cryo! I told you not to say that around anyone!" Alana yelled to him.
"Alanie?! What kind of nickname is that? That's the weirdest nickname I've heard," Zooli asked while laughing hard.
"That's what I've been trying to tell him. But he wants it to stay because it sounds cool," Alana told her.
"It does, I'm telling you!" Cryo told her. Suddenly, the creature got back up, and roared.
"Great, not this guy again," Alana said, annoyed now.
"Hold up buddy, the game's over now! Everything's all good now," Cryo told it. The Abomnitale sat down
"Why is it listening to you?" Zooli asked him.
"Ok so, this was all my plan," Cryo said with a smirk.
"Your plan?!" Both shouted.
"Correct. Alana, you remember Buggy, right?" he asked her.
"Yes, of course I…wait. That's Buggy?! The one we played with when you were little?!" she said, shocked.
"Yep. I wanted you two to get along, so I had Buggy pretend to be a wild Abomnitale and kidnap me, just so you would form a bond, and it looks like I succeeded," Cryo explained.
"You little trickster! You did that on purpose, I knew having you in this group was the right choice!" Zooli said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush slightly.
"I..uh-thanks Zooli," Cryo responded.
"I see what's happening here," Alana said.
"What is it sis?"
"You two like each other, don't you?" she teasingly asked them both. Both turned away, blushing deeply. Alana laughed.
"I knew it, and I'm cool with it," Alana told them.
"You are?" they both said, confused.
"It seems you two are meant for each other, it's just destiny," Alana explained. They both looked at each other and smiled.
"Zooli, please keep an eye on Cryo, and please…keep him safe," she whispered to her.
"Don't worry Alana, I will," she replied.
"Now you two better stay together and help each other so that one day I can be an aunt," Alana said with a smirk, causing both kids to blush even deeper.
"ALANA!" Cryo yelled at her.
"Oh, and one more thing Zooli. We're still enemies, so don't keep your guard down. Keep getting stronger, because I want to see if you're truly able to help not only your home, but Cryo too," she told Zooli. Zooli only nodded her head with a serious look.
"Well, we better be going Cryo, let's go, unless you want to say something to your sister first, which if so, make sure you can catch up, ok?" Zooli told Cryo.
"Oh we'll see, I'll catch up to you in a bit!" Cryo told her.
As Zooli left to go back to town, Cryo and Alana were left.
"So I guess this is goodbye for now. I'm gonna miss you sis," Cryo said, tearing up.
"Oh don't say that Cryo. I'm sure we'll see each other again soon, and I'll make sure we spend it right," Alana assured him. He hugged her one last time, and she hugged back before getting ready to leave.
"Oh, and bro, don't forget about "the plan"," Alana reminded him, which he then remembered as she left.
"Right….the…plan…" Cryo nervously said to himself before running to Zooli.
Author's Notes
I haven't done a chapter this fast since Chapters 1 and 2, and it feels so weird posting another one this quickly after taking a 2 month break after Chapter 14 to post Chapter 15. But anyway, how many of you expected Alana to return in this chapter? She'll play a more prominent role later in the story, but for now, this is the last we'll see of her. Now, onto the reviews.
ReaderandWriter9000: Hey there once again! Sorry for the long wait, I just couldn't have time to do the story, but now I'm back! I'm glad you liked that little adventure with Nonny and Nelly, and they'll be back soon for the end of this little arc. Hope you're excited for the temple!
PrimroseRaspberry: Hi again! It really does suck how Nelly lost almost her entire family, and wait till you see how she reacts once she finds her brother alive. It's nice to see siblings caring for adopted siblings, and there's more of that to come.
I have one last thing to show before I sign off, so here it is, and I'll see you guys with the next chapter, which will be a big shocker.
Post Chapter
We come to Breezy Bay town once again, where the sun is starting to set and night time was on the horizon. People were at the beach, playing games, eating at restaurants, all you can think of.
Zooli and Cryo were walking towards the town, talking about the adventures they just had, and how they learned a lot.
"So you got and Alana got attacked by a bunch of Glinchy's?" Cryo asked Zooli.
"Yeah, and that claw swipe really hurt. It felt like I was being stabbed three times at once," Zooli explained. "How about you? What was it like being tied up like that?" she asked him.
"Well, my limbs were always falling asleep because I couldn't move, so that was annoying. Also, I couldn't really do anything to make my position better, so that's another," Cryo explained to Zooli.
"Wow, that must have sucked. Well at least you're free now, but please don't ever do that again," Zooli said while kissing him on his cheeks.
"Hey, we're here now!" Cryo said. They'd arrived back in Breezy Bay, and just when the sun was starting to set.
"Well time to find Gil and Nelly now. Let's go I guess," Zooli said.
"There he is!" Cryo pointed to Gil.
"Guys!" Gil shouted worriedly.
"Gil! Is everything okay?" Zooli asked him.
"No, everything is not okay! Things are very bad actually!" Gil said.
"What happened?" Cryo asked him. "Yeah, and where's Nelly?" Zooli also asked him.
"She's been kidnapped!" Gil exclaimed.
"What?!" Both guppies shouted in shock. "Who took her?" Zooli asked.
"I don't know! One moment we were getting ice cream, and then the next this big person grabbed her and Bubble Puppy and said he was taking them to the temple," Gil explained.
"That's where Molly and Nonny are going!" Cryo replied.
"We have to go after them, now!" Gil said.
"But how? The boat won't be back until the middle of the night most likely." Zooli said. Cryo was looking around, when he spotted a boat big enough for the four of them, including Snowy.
"I may have an idea. Follow me!" Cryo said as they ran towards the boat.
Meanwhile, in an airship, Nelly and Bubble Puppy were all tied up and thrown on the floor.
"What do you want with me and this puppy?" Nelly asked someone.
"You'll both be needed for something at where we're heading to. Don't worry, we'll be there soon," the mysterious man said.
"Oh you annoying, rude, stupid punk! How could you do this?" Nelly yelled at him.
"You annoy me. Kirā, make sure they don't do anything stupid please," he called to someone. Nelly tried to say something, but a sword was held at her throat by a young girl. Bubble Puppy gasped and whimpered at the sight of who it was.
"W-W-Who are y-you?" Nelly worriedly asked.
"That's none of your concern right now, little one," the girl said. Nelly looked up to see who it was. It was none other than Oona herself, and she was wearing clothes similar to Pyro's army.
"Hang on, you look just like that Oona girl my brother Nonny was talking about!" Nelly said. Oona flinched for a second, but snapped back.
"I am, although I am not the same Oona he described me as," she said. Nelly noticed her eyes were a reddish color instead of brown, so she realized what was happening, but didn't say anything.
"Now behave, or we'll throw you all overboard," Oona said before walking away.
"Wait, all of us? Are me and Bubble Puppy not the only ones here?" Nelly said.
"Yep, we're here," another voice said. She turned to see both Goby and Deema, who were also tied up.
"So they got you and Bubble Puppy too huh?" Deema asked.
"Who are you guys?" Nelly asked.
"Let's just say we're friends of Nonny," Goby told her.
"Is she your enemy? I guess since she has a robotic tail she would be an enemy" Nelly asked them both.
"Oona? Of course not! She's our friend! It's just that something happened back at BlizzardTucky that got us where we are now," Deema told Nelly.
"Really? What happened?" Nelly curiously asked.
"Well, it all started 2 days ago…" Goby began explaining.
