After a very long time, I'm back with this story. I just want to say thank you to everyone who waited for this, and I want to say I'm sorry for taking so long to get this out. I've been dealing with a lot of personal and school related things, and just couldn't get the time to do this. I wanted to do it over spring break, but so much was happening at that time, so I'm sorry for everything, but I felt like waiting so long restored me to normal.
I will try my best to get chapters out more easily. They may not be as good, but I will try. But for now, I hope you enjoy this one!
Chapter 19: Restoration
There are those who forget what has happened to them in the past, living swell lives. But there are also those whose events stick with them forever, with no sign of leaving them. Trauma can cause serious harm to not only us, but our loved ones too. Sometimes, we are the cause of our own trauma, and soon it will affect us greater than ever before.
Molly wakes up in a place she hadn't recognized, with fire and destruction everywhere. She was confused and concerned, and started to look around. "What is this place?" she asked herself. She wandered around the area for a while, staring at all the bodies and destruction left behind.
"Hello?" she calls out. "Is anyone there?". Molly starts to get worried and tries to find someone, when she trips on something, or rather, someone. She turned around to see a skeleton on the ground right beside her. Molly screamed and crawled backwards, breathing heavily.
"This better not be some kind of prank!" she yelled.
"Oh this is no prank sweetie," a voice replied. "W-Who said that?" Molly said, looking around for the person, when a figure appeared. "W-Who are you?" Molly called out. ("Her voice sounds familiar…"), she thought to herself.
"Who am I? I think you should know, no wonder this is what happened," the girl said. Molly was confused at her response. Was this really her home? "Wait, this place, it can't be…" she said.
"Look around you, I thought you would recognize it. But back to the point, you want to know who I am?" the unknown girl said to Molly. Molly clenched her fist, causing it become enveloped in ice.
"Did you do this?" Molly asked in an angry tone. The girl then started laughing maniacally. "You think this is funny?!" she yelled. "Oh yes, it's funny that you can't even figure out the truth," the girl replied.
"The truth is that you'll see what happens when you mess with my home!" Molly yelled. She charged the unknown girl, but was surprised when she blocked her hit and knocked her down with a heavy punch. But what shocked her the most was that her fist wasn't made of ice, but of fire.
"U-Ugh, I should really stop running at enemies like that," she told herself. "Is this the best you got? I'm disappointed," the girl told her dismayingly. Molly got up and fired ice shards at her, but she fired fireballs back, and grabbed Molly with fiery chains, restraining her.
"Ack! L-Let me go!" Molly shouted.
"Why? This is fun for me. I might never have the chance to do this again," the girl told her with excitement. She clenched her fists, which made the chains increase in power, and Molly shouted as her skin was burning.
"W-What kind of m-monster are you?" Molly said.
"Really? I thought it was obvious at this point. But if you must know, I happen to be...," she said, taking off her cloak, which terrified Molly to the core.
"Your worst fear," the girl said evilly. It turned out to be Molly herself. She was wearing red and orange armor similar to Pyros, with tall red boots and spikes all over. Her teeth were spiky, and her eyes were reddish-orange.
"N-No, no no no no...that's impossible!" Molly said, terrified of what was in front of her.
"Oh it is, you should've been more careful sweetie, or else you wouldn't have killed everyone, but I think it's time to end this," the other Molly told her. She slammed Molly to the ground and summoned a sword as she fired it at her.
"Stop, AHHHH! Molly screamed, when she woke up screaming. She breathed heavily and fast as she looked around her. She was still in her hotel room, safe and sound from before. "Oh thank cod, it was all just a dream," Molly said with relief. Bubble Puppy jumped on her, licking her repeatedly. "OK, ok boy, I'm fine!" Molly said giggling. "Man I must've been asleep for a while, do you know where Gilly and the others are?" she asked the pup, who barked in response. "(sigh), I wish I could understand you Bubble Puppy," Molly said. "They're probably at the cafe, so we should head there first," she said. Bubble Puppy barked in response.
It's been 2 months since the group completed the fourth temple, and they've changed quite a bit. Molly's hair had grown a lot, and her body was beginning to hit mature levels. She, along with the rest of the group, had grown taller now. Molly has also done a bit more training with Glacia to help her master her abilities, as well as some new ones. She put on a yellow shirt and blue jacket, as well as her gloves and hat as she headed downstairs.
Meanwhile, some of the group was eating breakfast at the cafe and chatting with each other.
"I can't believe that it's been almost two months since the last temple!" Gil said. "Yeah, I wonder when we're going to leave for the next one…," Goby said.
"Say Gil, where's Molly anyway?" Zooli asked him. "Oh, I decided to let her sleep in, seeing as she has been training with Ms. Glacia a lot," Gil explained.
"Don't you think she's been doing that a bit too much lately?" Zooli asked everyone. "I mean, I guess she has, but she probably wants to be at her best to beat Pyros," Gil told her. "I don't know Gil, maybe there's something else on her mind that's making her want to train a lot," Goby said. "Like what?" he asked. "Maybe some kind of inner thought, or something she doesn't want to happen," he suggested. "Maybe she's thinking about something that we don't know, and she wants to be ready for," Cryo suggested. "That could be true, but we'll have to ask her," Gil replied.
Molly then walked through the door yawning as she met everyone. "Hey guys," she greeted them. "Hi Molly!" Everyone greeted her. "How'd you sleep?" Goby asked her. Molly then remembered her dream about herself. "Oh, I, uh…I slept well!" Molly said. Laughing. "Ok.., well I have to say Molly, you look like you've grown your hair out," Zooli commented on her hair, which was way longer than it was before.
"Oh yeah, I wanted to grow it out for a change, you know, to show a new me!" Molly said. "You all look great too, still can't believe it's been two months already," she said.
"Yeah, time sure does fly fast," Gil said.
"Say, where are the others at?" Molly wondered.
"Oh, they're with Oona at her appointment, you know, to help her after the "incident" occurred," Zooli said, trying not to bring up the subject, as they all weren't comfortable talking about it. "I think they should be just about done though, so we can head there now," Zooli added.
"Guess we should do that, but let's finish eating first, I'm starving!" Molly said.
After a while, the group finished eating their meals, and made their way to the therapist office, where Glacia and Lady Snowa were waiting for them.
"Why hello there children, good to see you all again," Snowa greeted the kids. The group greeted them both too.
"What are you two doing here?" Molly asked them.
"We're here to see how Oona is doing too. Mrs. Chilly is a good friend of mine, so I'm sure she's helping your friend out," Snowa explained to them.
"Wow, you must know a lot of people in this town," Goby said to them.
"Well, when your ancestors helped found the town, you do get to know a lot of the people here," Glacia said to them.
"Wait, your family founded this place?" Molly asked them.
"Yes, our ancestors from many decades ago were one of the key founders of BlizzardTucky, and the legacy has continued on for us," Lady Snowa explained to them.
"Though it can get annoying with all the business and meetings with others almost every day of your life. I just wish we can get a day off for once," Glacia said with dismay.
"By the way, do we have any information on where the next temple is?" Molly asked them.
"At the moment we do not yet, but we're still looking at the scroll for where it is located, and I think by tomorrow we should have the location," Glacia explained. Then, the others came out of the building with Mrs. Chilly too.
"Hey guys!" They all greeted their friends. Nelly was with Nonny too.
"How is she Mrs. Chilly?" Lady Snowa asked her friend.
"Just as I thought it was. Oona seems to be suffering from severe PTSD," Mrs. Chilly informed her.
"What's PTSD?" Gil asked her.
"It stands for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and it's when someone can have flashbacks or other symptoms after experiencing a traumatic event in their life, like an accident or assault. Oona's case here was seeing herself killing another person," Mrs. Chilly explained. Oona was looking away, guilty of what she did, but Nonny put his hand on her shoulder, and she put on a small smile.
"What can we do to help her?" Molly asked her.
"I suggest spending more time with her friends and family, and doing things she likes to do most. Sometimes it can last a few months, while for others it can be permanent. If done everyday, she should be better within a few months, but she'll need to stay away from fighting for a long time," she explained.
"I think that'll be very easy for you all, right?" Lady Snowa asked the guppies. They all told her yes.
"Well we'd better go now if we want to get that location down," Glacia told them. They all waved goodbye to them as they swam off.
"Say Oona, want to go with me to help Sarah with the baby animals?" Zooli asked her.
"Oh, um I guess so, that sounds fun," Oona replied.
"Come on, it'll be fun!" Zooli said, grabbing her hand and swam off with her.
"She doesn't seem like herself that much. Usually she'd get ecstatic over baby animals," Goby commented.
"Well like Mrs. Chilly said, it'll take some time for her to recover fully," Cryo said.
"So what do we do now?" Deema wondered.
"I think we should do whatever we want now, and then meet together around dinner time," Molly said.
They all agreed on that and split up around the town for a while until they had to meet up again in a few hours. We'll focus on Gil and Goby's experience.
"Man, after all this time I'm surprised we haven't done that much together," Gil told Goby. "Yeah, we should do this more often," Goby replied.
"I think once we're done with the gift shop, we should go to-OOF!" Gil said before he ran into someone.
"Somethings are still the same I guess," Goby jokingly said.
"Very funny," Gil annoyingly replied. "Are you okay?" he asked the girl.
"Ugh, yeah I'm fine," she answered. "Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," she said. The girl had bluish-pinkish hair and a green bikini top with brown eyes. She was wearing a yellow jacket and orange gloves.
"It's okay, neither was I really," Gil said. They both laughed at each other.
"My name's Lily, who are you two?" Lily asked them.
"I'm Gil, and this is my friend Goby," Gil introduced them. Goby waved to her. Lily was wide eyed for a moment. ("This has to be him, it just has to!") Lily thought to herself.
"Hey, you okay?" Gil said. "Oh yeah, I'm good. Where are you two heading off to?" Lily curiously asked them.
"We were on our way to the gift shop when we ran into you," Goby told her. "Really? I was trying to get there myself, but I got lost," Lily said, chuckling.
"We can show you the way there if you want," Gil said.
"That'd be nice," Lily answered. They all began swimming towards the gift shop. On their way there, the boys were curious about Lily more.
"So where are you from Lily?" Goby asked her.
"Oh, I'm from another town close by, and me and my family are just visiting for a few days before we head back home," Lily told them.
"What's your family like back home?" Gil asked her. Lily didn't know what to say, and was minorly sweating. "Uhh, my family's very nice and sweet, and they're probably the best parents one could ask for, and they have really good singing voices too," Lily explained.
"They seem like nice people, what are their names?" Gil asked her.
"Oh! I…uhhh, I'd rather not say at the moment," Lily nervously answered.
"That's okay! Maybe we can eventually meet them," Gil said.
"Yeah…eventually," Lily quietly said.
"We're here guys!" Goby told them. They arrived at the gift shop, where they saw all the many figures and items available to buy.
"So what do we do now?" Lily confusingly asked them.
"Isn't it obvious? We buy stuff now!" Gil told her. They each split up to buy their own things around the shop. Lily was looking at the plushies of some characters and rocks. "What would Mom like here? I know I'm getting a baby brother soon, so maybe I should get him something like…aha!" Lily said to herself. She grabbed an orca plush, as well as a green rock necklace she liked.
After a while, the three had gotten their items they bought and headed outside. "So what did you get Lily?" Gil asked her. "I got this orca plush for my baby brother, and this necklace for my mom, since she likes green necklaces," Lily showed them.
"I'm sure they'll like them," Goby told her.
"Well, I better get going now, but Gil, here's something to keep," Lily said, handing Gil a pendulum with a button. "Uhh, what's this for?" He asked her. "Use it when the you feel like someone special is about to die or severely injured," she told her with a wink. She then swam off.
"Well that was weird," Gil said.
"Say, you ever notice how she sorta looks like if you and Molly had a child?" Goby asked him.
"Dude!" Gil shouted.
"Hey I'm just saying! She looks like Molly and you!" Goby told him.
"I guess now that you mention it yeah she does," Gil said.
Lily swam behind the gift shop building, and looked around if anyone followed or was near her. "Phew, the coast is clear. Please, save this world Mom and Dad," Lily said, looking at Gil. She pressed a button on her arm, and disappeared in a small flash of light.
Back at the hotel, the others had all gathered together, and the eight guppies were together again, where they talked among each other.
"Hey Molly, I got you something from the gift shop," Gil said to her. He handed Molly a blue geode that sparkled, and it was on a necklace.
"Aww, thank you Gilly, I love it," Molly said, hugging Gil.
"So where should we go to eat?" Deema said.
"Well, I was hoping to go to that sushi restaurant nearby, since I've wanted to try their food out, if that's okay with you guys," Oona suggested.
"Sure Oona, we can go do that, since we all haven't been there yet," Molly told her, which made Oona smile slightly.
They all headed to the sushi restaurant, where they each got to try out sushi. Oona taught them how to use chopsticks to eat the sushi, and even though they each struggled at the start, they each got the hang of it. After a few more hours, everyone returned to their hotel rooms tired and sleepy. We'll focus on Zooli and Cryo as they got ready for bed.
"Man, I never knew sushi could be so delicious!" Zooli exclaimed, clearly loving the dish.
"I agree, I should go to more places like those," Cryo said. As they both got into their beds, a thought of remembrance hit Cryo, and his face turned into a face of guilt.
"Say Zooli?" Cryo called to her. "What's up Cryo?" Zooli said.
"If something happens in the night, wake me up quickly. I have a bad feeling something bad will happen tonight," Cryo told her with a serious tone. Zooli was confused, but trusted him.
"Ok, I will," she answered. They turned off the light and went to sleep.
It was about three in the morning, and everyone was fast asleep. Zooli is fast asleep when she wakes up by a weird smell. "What is that smell?" she whispered. She got out of bed and peeked out the door. She then saw something that scared her.
"FIRE!" she yelled, immediately waking up Cryo, startled by her yell. "Huh, what's going on?" He asked her.
"There's a huge fire Cryo! We gotta do something!" Zooli said. Cryo nodded and went to help her. Luckily, the others were woken up by the smoke in their rooms too.
"How is there a huge fire here?" Gil said.
"I don't know, but we have to do something to get this fire out," Molly said.
"Attention all residents. A large fire has broken out on the top of the hotel, and is spreading quickly. Please evacuate immediately," The loud speaker announced.
"I'll try to get this fire out, you guys help everyone evacuate," Molly ordered them.
"But you can't put this out by yourself," Gil told her.
"It's better than not doing anything at all! Maybe I can stall it enough to get everyone out," she said. "Just go now!"
"Gil, come on!" Goby called to him. Gil followed the others as they went to the lower floors. Molly wiped her forehead because of the immense heat.
"Phew, man this fire's strong, but I gotta do something," she said to herself. She used her powers to put out the fire, and while it was minorly doing that, it was rapidly spreading. "This is gonna be harder than I thought," she said.
Meanwhile, in the lobby, there was fire spreading, but luckily most of the guppies had gotten everyone out of the building in good condition.
"I think that's everyone," Deema said with relief. Suddenly, pieces of the burning building began to fall down, minorly touching them. "We have to get out of here, this place is starting to fall apart!" Goby shouted. They group headed outside, where they saw the fire department trying their best to put out the fire. They spotted Lady Snowa and Glacia, where Glacia was also using her powers to try and put the fire out.
"Children, thank goodness you're safe," Lady Snowa happily said.
"Uh, guys, I think we're missing people," Nonny informed everyone.
"Gil, Zooli and Molly are still in there!" Deema shouted. "They must be still trying to get some people out," Goby said.
In the hotel, the two were with civilians, but they were trapped, surrounded by burning debris, with no way to go. To make matters worse, the roof and floor were starting to break down, as they could fall or be crushed by the debris.
"There's nowhere to go, we're trapped!" Gil said. "We have to get these people, and ourselves out of here somehow," Zooli told him. The wall in front of them then collapsed and fell down, allowing them to see how high up they were.
"There they are!" Oona said, pointing to them.
"Ok that answers that, but how do we get down from here?" Zooli asked Gil. Multiple large ice pillars form infront of them, allowing them to jump down. They look to the other side, where Molly was holding them up.
"Go, now!" she shouted.
"Cmon everyone, let's go!" Gil said. He, Zooli, and the people jumped down each pillar to the ground, where they regrouped with the others.
"No time to relax now guys, Molly's still up there!" Gil said. Molly saw the building starting to shake, ready to fully collapse.
"Well, guess I better get down now-huh?" Molly said before she saw something. She saw that version of her from her dream in the background, smiling menacingly before disappearing. Molly stood there, petrified at the sight of her, even getting goosebumps on her skin.
"What's she doing? She's gonna fall if she doesn't jump!" Deema said.
"Molly, you have to jump!" Gil called to her. Molly snapped out of her trance. "Oh right!" she said. She jumped down, using wind to carry herself to the ground, where the others caught up to her.
"Sorry guys, I don't know what got into me," she apologized.
"It's okay, everyone has those moments," Gil told her.
"Guys look!" Cryo pointed. They saw the hotel fall to the ground, with barely anything left in the aftermath.
"Great, now where are we going to sleep?" Deema asked, annoyed by the current events.
"You kids could sleep at our place while the hotel gets rebuilt. We do have a basement with rooms and beds for you guys," Lady Snowa told them. "Yeah, we barely use it for anything, so you kids can use them," Glacia said.
Before anyone could respond, multiple explosions rocked the town, even shaking the floor beneath them. "Great, now what's going on?" Zooli said.
"You kids go inside now, let the adults handle this," Glacia said.
"(sigh) She's right guys, we'll figure something out in the morning," Molly told them. "I'm sure they can handle this. Besides, we don't want to get even more hurt," Molly explained. The rest decided she was right. They don't want to put each other in harm's way again.
In the morning, they guppies went outside to see what was left of last night. They soon saw that most of the important buildings were destroyed, like the weaponsmith, bakery, and some restaurants. There were still some small fires still around, but they were easily put out.
"Wow, this place is almost completely destroyed," Deema said.
"Who would do this to the entire town?" Goby said.
"It's gotta be Pyros and his team. They must be trying to get rid of the important shops and places that could help us get stronger and defeat him," Cryo said.
"Then we have to get back at him by helping rebuild this place!" Molly told them. They all agreed with her, and so the group split up into two pairs to help the town. We'll go to the girls, as something sinister is about to happen.
"They even got the clothing shop? This day just keeps getting worse," Deema said with annoyance.
"Hello there girls. Are you here to help rebuild this place?" Lady Snowa greeted and asked the girls.
"Yeah, we think Pyros is trying to prevent us from surviving without the most important buildings here, so we're trying to help rebuild this place," Molly explained.
"That's very kind of you kids, I'm sure the town will appreciate your assistance," Snowa happily said.
"Alright girls, let's get to work!" Molly excitedly said.
"Uh, girls, who's that over there?" Oona said, pointing to an unknown figure in the distance.
"Probably just another bystander Oona, nothing to worry about," Deema said.
"Hang on girls, they look familiar to me," Molly said. "Wait, you don't actually know that person, do you Molly?" Deema asked her. Molly looked closely at the person, until the person turned around and saw her. Molly soon came to a shocking realization.
"N-No, it can't be…," Molly said in a scared tone.
"Molly, is everything okay?" Oona asked her friend.
"That's Stylee!" Molly shouted. Oona and Deema gasped in response.
"You mean that's Stylee over there?!" Deema worriedly asked Molly.
"But that can't be her! She looks like she's in a robotic suit of some kind," Oona said.
"Uhh, who's this Stylee?" Zooli asked them.
"She's a famous pop star singer from home, even Molly sang with her!" Deema explained to Zooli.
"You sang with a pop star?!" Zooli shouted in surprise.
"Yeah, but what's she doing here?" Molly wondered.
"Target spotted, initiating attack mode" Cyborg Stylee said.
"I think that friend of yours is about to do something," Glacia said.
"Like what-" Molly said before being grabbed by the cyborg and thrown into a wall, causing great pain.
"Molly!" the girls shouted.
The cyborg used a sonic cannon to blow everyone away, but Glacia shielded her sister with an ice shield. Cyborg Stylee used jet boosters to reach Molly, who was still recovering from that blow. "Oww, man that hurt-ACK" she said before Cyborg Stylee grabbed her by the neck.
"S-Stylee, it's m-me…please," Molly tried to reach her, but nothing came back.
"She's not in there, I serve Pyros, and I'm ordered to kill you," Stylee said. She slammed Molly on the ground and threw her another way.
Meanwhile, the boys were helping rebuild the hotel. "I wonder how the girls are doing," Gil wondered. "I'm sure they're doing their best to help," Goby told him. Without warning, Molly burst through the stone wall infront of them. "Why does she keep throwing me through walls?" Molly weakly said, groaning as she got up.
"Molly what's going on?!" Gil asked her.
"Ugh…r-run guys!" Molly weakly told them. She got up, and narrowly avoided a killing blow from Cyborg Stylee, who had a massive knife formed from her arm.
"Hang on, is that Ms. Stylee?" Gil said.
"Yeah, Pyros turned her into a cyborg of some kind, and now she's trying to kill me," Molly said. The cyborg then rushed and grabbed her again, and slammed her on the ground multiple times, and Molly yelled in pain as she got thrown…again.
"We got to help her!" Gil told the others, but the cyborg did what it did earlier and used a sonic cannon to blast the others back so it could focus on Molly.
Molly, now bleeding from the injuries, was too weak to get up, and was starting to lose consciousness a bit. "U-Ugh, I c-c-can't get up," she tiredly said.
"There she is!" someone called out. It was the girls, who got up from being blasted earlier.
"No g-g-girls stop! It's too d-dangerous…," Molly shouted. Stylee then showed up and grabbed her right arm with an angry frown. "This ends now," she said, and proceeded to rip Molly's arm clean off without any effort.
Molly screeched in pain, and was thrown across the floor behind the cyborg. The girls rushed to her aid.
"Molly, are you okay?!" Deema asked her friend, but Molly only whimpered and cried out in pain, tears forming from her eyes.
"She's in too much pain to even talk!" Deema said. "What do we do?" Zooli said, panicking. Oona started getting flashbacks of when Eliza cut off her tail, and now she saw a similar thing happening to her friend. Cyborg Stylee started swimming towards the girls, but Lady Snowa and Glacia were nearby.
Glacia had a serious face on as she watched what was going on. "Sister you can't, it's too dangerous!" Snowa told Glacia. "I'm not just gonna stand here and let this unfold, it's time we do something!" Glacia said back. Snowa saw her sister's face, and was reminded of their childhood. "Just…be careful," she told her. "Heh, I always am," Glacia said.
The girls prepared to defend Molly from the cyborg Stylee, well, except Oona, but she stood by her side. Cyborg rolled her eyes, and smirked. "S-Stylee…p-p-please," Molly weakly said. The cyborg charged at high speeds with a powerful punch in hand, and then it went quiet with a slight breeze.
The girls opened their eyes to see Glacia holding the cyborg's punch with a disappointed look. "Is this the best you got?" she said, sending the robot back.
"Woah she's good," Deema said.
Glacia summoned a cloud above the cyborg that rained spears and shards, but she moved out of the way, and prepared to stab Glacia with a sword, but Glacia ducked and summoned a pillar that launched the cyborg into the air, then slashed at her with her own sword, causing heavy damage.
"Damage Critical, Must Leave For Repairs," Cyborg Stylee said.
"Now leave this place now, or else I won't be so gentle next time," Glacia said deeply. She stared the cyborg down, and Cyborg Stylee used rocket boosters to fly away from the town.
"Well that just happened," Zooli said with surprise.
"Thank c-cod…it's….all….over…," Molly said before collapsing.
"Molly!" the others shouted, their voices fading.
Molly woke up in an unknown room she'd never been to before. She felt better, but her arm felt different. She looked over to see a robotic arm in its place, similar to Oona's tail. "Wha-what is this?" Molly asked herself.
"So you're finally awake," a doctor walked in.
"Who are you? Where am I?" Molly asked them.
"Haha, I'm your doctor silly, and you're in the hospital after what happened to you," the doctor explained. Molly remembered what just happened.
"Oh that's right! I must've passed out," she said.
"Indeed you did, and for a few hours too. You suffered a lot of blood loss and pain, which caused your body to hit its limit and make you pass out," the doctor explained. "But now you've fully recovered, and you can go see your friends again, as their waiting for you," they said. Molly got up out of the bed.
"I hope she's doing alright, that looked pretty bad from our angle," Zooli said.
"I'm sure Dr. Chryso is doing his best to help her," Cryo told her.
Deema noticed Oona was feeling more down than before, and decided to comfort her. "What's with the sad face friend?" she asked the girl. "(sigh) I don't know Deema, but maybe it's that I was remembering when Eliza cut off part of my tail, and now the same thing happened to Molly. I could've helped her, but I was too scared to. I feel so guilty," Oona explained to her.
"Hey don't say that, me and Zooli we're scared too," Deema told her.
"Hey!" Zooli yelled.
"Having a moment here Zools," Deema said. Everyone chuckled, including Oona, but only slightly.
"Anyway, we were also scared, and we didn't know what to do, but I saw you stand by her. Your love for Molly was overcoming your fear of fighting, and that's something to be proud of," Deema told her.
"I guess that makes sense. Y-Yeah, I guess it does," Oona said. "That's the spirit!" Deema said, elbowing her arm. Molly then came out of the room.
"Molly!" everyone shouted. They all rushed to hug their friend. "Hey guys, I'm OK!" she said.
"How is she doctor?" Glacia asked the doctor.
"Well, we did manage to attach a temporary robotic arm to her, which can help control her powers more. She seems to have fully recovered, and is free to leave," the doctor told her.
"Wait, what do you mean temporary?" Molly asked him.
"Well, we do have a way of reattaching your arm, but it involves a long surgery that may have some side effects after. It involves your skin cells reattaching themselves through a rare process, and you'll be asleep for a while after. Your arm is also being kept in cryokinesis, so it doesn't rot," he explained to her.
"How long does it usually take?" she asked him.
"Usually around 6-7 hours of surgery, and that's not counting a day or two of sleeping," he said.
"I think I'll do it after we get back from the fifth temple," Molly said. Suddenly, a nurse came up to the group.
"Miss Molly, you have a visitor at the front desk. She says she knows you very well," the snail nurse told her.
"(Who could that be?)" Molly thought to herself. The group swam over to the front desk, where there was a small guppy in a robe waiting for them.
"Who's that?" Gil wondered. Goby shrugged his shoulders.
"Hi, um…you wanted to see me?" Molly asked the mysterious person.
"Yes, it's been a while, sis," the girl said.
"Sis? Wait, no…are you-" Molly said. The girl took off her hood, which shocked the entire group.
"Hey sis!" she said. It was none other than Mia.
"Mia?! The group said.
"Who's that?" Cryo asked Zooli. "That's Molly's little sister," she whispered to him.
Molly was bewildered. She'd hadn't seen Mia in a long time, and was still shocked at seeing her face again. Tears started to form from her eyes. Without warning, she rushed and hugged her little sister, crying heavily.
"It's really you! I missed you!" Molly said with excitement and tears.
"I missed you too Molly!" Mia said.
"Aww" Deema and Oona said.
Molly stood there hugging Mia for a good minute when she wiped her tears away. "What are you doing here? How did you escape from Pyros?" Molly asked her sister.
"Mason and Mr. Grouper helped me escape. Mason told me to head here while he headed into the forests to escape the guards. Mr. Grouper was taken back though. When I got here, I asked the people if they knew where you were, and they told me to come here," Mia explained to her.
"Well I'm just glad you're safe, I never thought I would see you again," Molly said. The sisters hugged again.
"Hi everyone!" Mia said to the others.
"Hi Mia!"
"Hello"
"Hey there!" they all said. Glacia then got a phone call from her sister.
"Kids, Lady Snowa wants us to head to the temple, she's finally figured out where the next one is located," Glacia told them.
At the temple, Lady Snowa had finished decoding the scroll for the next temple location, when the others arrived.
"Good to see you all again, and who's this new face?" Snowa said.
"Lady Snowa, and Glacia, this is my little sister Mia. Mia, this is Glacia and Lady Snowa. They've been taking care of us, and helping me with my powers," Molly introduced them to each other.
"So you must be Mia. Your sister has said many things about you," Snowa said to Mia.
"So cool.." Mia said with sparkling eyes.
"Sister, the temple," Glacia reminded her.
"Oh, yes. I've found the next temple location, and for some reason it's in a weird place this year," Snowa said.
"Where is it?" Molly asked her.
"The fifth temple is located at…the Temple of Baby Animals," Snowa said. The main six gasped in shock.
"Hold on, you mean the Temple of Baby Animals?" Molly asked her. Snowa nodded her head.
"I thought that was just something Mr. Grouper did for easter," Deema said.
"I just made it up. I didn't think it was actually real," Goby said.
"There's a large boat leaving for it in about 10 minutes, so you all should hurry up," Glacia told them.
"Um, can I stay behind on this one, I don't feel like I'm ready to go out yet," Oona asked her friend.
"Of course Oona! Deema and Nonny, why don't you stay here and look after her and Mia?" Molly asked them. Nonny nodded his head. "You got it friend!" Deema said, giving a thumbs up.
"Come on Molly, I wanna go with you!" Mia told her sister.
"I'm sorry Mia, but it's too dangerous for you, and I don't want you to get hurt," Molly told her.
"Didn't you tell me you wanted to spend more time with me?" Mia asked her. Molly was starting to think. "Please, I just met up with you again, this is the perfect moment for us to be together," Mia encouraged her.
"(sigh) Fine, you can come, but you have to stay by my side at all times until we get there, got it?" Molly told her.
"Yay! Thank you, I will!" Mia said, hugging her. Molly hugged her back.
"I shall accompany you too, this might be too much even for you kids, as we'll have to ride across the ocean past Big Bubble City, as the temple is on an island," Glacia said.
"Have you heard of that place before?" Cryo asked Zooli.
"Nope, never heard about it in my life," she said.
Once they got to the boat, they all waved goodbye to the others, who waved goodbye back.
"Good luck!" Deema shouted.
"Please be safe!" Oona responded.
"We'll be back soon guys!" Molly said before walking away. Gil stopped by her.
"Hey, you feeling alright?" he asked her.
"I'm fine Gilly, it's just that I have this bad feeling something terrible is going to happen soon," she said.
"Well no matter what happens, we'll get through it, together," Gil said, holding her hand. Molly smiled at him.
At last, as the boat reached the horizon, the group are finally leaving for the fifth temple, located at the familiar Temple of Baby Animals. Little do they know, this will be the weirdest temple they've ever encountered.
Well there we go! I've finally finished it. Man was this one hard to come up with, especially the beginning parts, but I pulled through and did it. Thank you all for waiting for this, and now the journey is beginning to come back! Now, onto the reviews:
PrimroseRaspberry: I love how you found Molly struggling with math relatable, as I also relate. I'm not much of a math guy either, so it was fun to show some relatedness to my life. I also like the connection you made with Oona. It shows that even the calmest people can go crazy if pushed far enough, and this certainly pushed Oona past her limit.
ReaderandWriter9000: Hello again friend. I'm so glad that it was your favorite chapter, it means the world to me like that, as I worked very hard on it. There may or may not be references to BGTY in there hehe, and the twist with Oona was a fun way to show off some of the hidden sides to characters.
That's all for now, and no post chapter this time, but I will leave this message as a hint for a future project.
