Doom chanted in Latverian, bringing about dark magic to corrupt Kang's mind to his own.
Suddenly, a green fade of mist shone on Kang, and he disappeared. Loki was outside time, and thus he was able to lend an extent of power to Kang.
The conqueror appeared behind Doom.
"Did you think... that would be easy?"
Doom shouted, and blasted green electricity at Kang, but the conqueror's eyes shone a deep blue as his helmet came on, and the attack was redirected at Doom as he was hit back.
Kang shouted and held out his hands, blasting a deep blue energy at Doom as he struggled to evade it.
Doom lay still after the blast.
Kang walked up to him, but Doom was playing possum.
He leapt up, kicking Kang back and created a green energy field around him, trying to crush him.
Thor summoned Mjolnir back to him, and he attacked Magneto.
The mutant used his power to create metal to block all of Thor's hits, but the god of thunder was too strong. He swung his hammer and shot lightning, destroying the metal.
Before Thor could deliver a blow to Magneto's face, Mjolnir stopped in midair. It was made of Uru, and thus controllable by him. He made it strike Maestro before he could land a blow at him.
Ironheart flew up behind him, blasting him in the helmet, cracking it.
The Professors strained while combining their power, but they found themselves able to do it.
Erik looked about, and he was standing in a white emptiness. He turned and saw the Professors, standing together without their wheelchairs.
"So you've entered! Have you come to torture? To mock?"
"No, Erik," said the older Professor. "We want you to understand. You're better than this. Doom is a liar. He only wishes to conqueror mercilessly as others do his bidding. Please, Erik, do not be his puppet."
"What is it he promised you?" asked The younger Professor.
Erik chuckled dryly.
"He promised me my family back, if you must know."
Silence came about the three for a moment.
"You know who she is," noted younger Xavier. "If you love her, why did you leave her?"
"I didn't leave her!" shouted Erik. "I was forced from her! My daughter grew up in torment, and her brother is dead! Two innocent children couldn't be associated with me. You could never understand that pain, Charles!"
"I could," nodded the older Professor. "You must see reason, Erik. Doom is the enemy. He seeks to destroy! Is that what you want? Endless slaughter in exchange for life with a relative?"
Erik looked at the two variants for a moment, before shaking his head and turning away.
"You could never understand."
Kang created a portal and escaped the field, but Doom punched Kang the moment he stepped behind him. He grabbed him by the neck in a futile attempt to crush his throat, but his armor was strong. Doom threw Kang across the invisible ground.
"You can not beat me. I want you to understand something. You will die. I'm going to kill you. And I will enjoy it. Very much."
Kang shouted, creating an explosion of blue energy and knocking Doom back.
As Kang rose, he glared at Doom, eyeing his target. He could kill him now, but the power the Beyonder bestowed upon him was only for a temporary purpose. But he no longer seemed to care. Blood lust filled his eyes as he stormed towards Doom, grabbing him by the mask and crushing it in his bare hands. The metal pieces of the mask cut at Doom's burned face as they fell away.
Kang grabbed Doom by the throat, but he could not kill him. He wanted Doom to see just what he was capable of. He threw Doom, and he landed on his back, coughing. Kang had to satisfy his thirst for dominance, and stomped on Doom's face. An ugly crunch sounded as he broke Doom's nose, and with a weakened groan, blood gushed down his mutilated face.
Kang looked out at the timelines (which looked like a sideways tree), and a dark look came upon his face.
"My mission has yet to be done. You, unworthy of power, will be... the only witness."
Kang created a long sword from his blue energy, and he brought it down hard, impaling Doom in the chest.
Doom shouted in pain as a drop of blood oozed from his mouth.
Kang created a portal, using it to bring himself closer to the timelines. An invisible force, as you could say, now lay between Kang and the entirety of the multiverse.
The conqueror shouted, sending energy blasts strong enough to shatter the timelines. But something unexpected happened.
They timelines became a dark shade of green, and were completely unaffected by the beams of energy.
Loki was using his magic to protect the timelines.
Kang shouted in frustration as he tried to blast harder, but it was no good. The multiverse couldn't be harmed while Loki remained as its caretaker.
Kang had an idea, and pulled his sword out of Doom. He threw it, and the blade hit straight onto a single strand. Only a weapon made from that of a Beyonder could penetrate such a strong defense.
Loki strained and held the branches tighter, shouting and struggling to hold back the blade.
Kang grinned maliciously, before he was punched back by a large fist. He'd been attacked by Ms Marvel. Suddenly, a figure sprang from nowhere and punched Kang back with his Vibranium arm. Scott did a flip and grew as he kicked Kang back.
They were using Pym Particles to ambush him.
But Kang would have none of it. He was so close to accomplishing his goal.
He shouted and created a massive energy explosion, knocking everyone back.
The younger Professor X wheeled forward, and had a stare-down with Kang.
Xavier quickly used his powers to tap into Kang's mind.
Kang found himself standing back at his own universe, where he was in his tower, alone.
The Professor stood behind him.
"So... you've seen my mind."
"It's a dark place," nodded Xavier.
"Let us... cut to the chase. What I'm doing will not be undone."
"Kang, this is not the way-"
"THIS IS THE ONLY WAY!"
Kang shouted and prepared to blast Xavier, but the Professor was in control here. He grabbed Kang by the face, and he forced him to see terrible moments.
A young Kang watching as his mother died in bed.
An adolescent Kang shouting in frustration at an experiment and throwing objects.
An older Kang staring at a cryogenically frozen Ravonna.
Holding Ravonna's body in his arms as he cried for her.
Being thrown into the Quantum Realm, his face scarring as he fell through the realm.
Kang shouted and punched Xavier in the torso, knocking him back.
There was a pause as the two glared at one another.
"This is... the only way. What is life without rebirth?"
"What is a terrorist... without slaughtering countless innocent lives that can be sustained?"
Kang seemed angrier at Xavier's words.
"Who says that branches can move without terror?"
A silence came from Kang as he slowly looked the Professor in the eye.
"...Me."
In one swift motion, Kang created a blue shard of energy, and impaled the Professor with it.
Xavier screamed in pain as to the large group, he appeared to be impaled by nothing.
Kang sneered as he kicked the wheelchair back.
From a distance, Magneto and the older Professor saw what happened.
Erik closed his eyes and looked down. This isn't what he wanted. Deep down, he felt as if something broke inside him. Something snapped.
Erik let out a cry and flew at Kang, creating a metal bat as he went. He caught Kang off guard, whacking him in the face.
They all attacked at once.
Kang quickly created a blue force field around him, stopping all the hits.
Thor blasted his thunder. Magneto rained shards of nails down at him.
Carol, Monica and Kamala all blasted with energy of their own.
Logan roared as he dug his claws deep into the shield, trying to rip it apart.
He shouted in agony, but he was doing it. He was tearing the shield in half.
Kang let out a blast at Logan, burning his flesh off as the force field closed again.
Logan's Adamantium skeleton remained. It shook its head slowly as flesh grew back onto him.
"Boom! Blood transfusion mixed with lazy writing!" exclaimed Deadpool as he and Logan high-fived.
Iron Lad stepped forth, and he touched the force field, making it vanish.
Kang looked at the younger Kang before he threw a portal, sucking everyone into it.
Kang looked back at the sword. It was digging itself further. Soon, he thought, it will hit the core and destroy the source.
Kang created a large ball-shaped object out of the blue energy. It was his time chair. He sat in it, using a transparent energy to make up his engine core, and disappeared.
Doom lay, still battered and broken. He very slowly got to his feet, closing his eyes and fists in an odd position, and he too disappeared.
