AUGUST 22, 1969 I EARTH 851
A time door opened on a universe and Mobius, Strange, Marc, Rama Tut, Reed, Johnny, Sue and Ben all came through (albeit with a lot of struggle from the Thing's physique).
"You sure he's here?" asked Strange.
"Surely he is in the birthplace of his great ancestor and his friends, waiting to surprise them," said Tut, mocking Reed and getting quite on his nerves.
"Hey, as mummy-man here said," began Mobius, "no funny business. Just a tap from my stick or a call on my walkie to the others, you're gone. Dead. Hear me?"
"Oh, spare me," said Tut.
"I spared you," said a somewhat angry Marc. "The least you could do is be thankful. You are sending us all on a wild goose chase, and if you have a shred of respect for yourself you'll do what we say."
"Yeah, yeah," said Tut.
The eight figures walked through the city after Strange disguised them, even giving Ben a more normal and human look. After a six-minute walk, Tut lead them to a mansion near the suburbs, with a big blue "4" on the roof.
"What is this place?" asked Reed.
"This is your mansion... in this universe anyway. You are a bigger threat to danger than the Avengers in this universe. But... you're all retired. Do not point fingers if no one answers."
In the distant space, Arishem the Judge had met with Doom was told many ugly yet convincing lies, that he was a divine being who served the Celestials without their knowledge, and even his supposed master, the Living Tribunal himself considered him powerful.
"But he's told me... he's tired of having a servant. He wants me to be one with the Celestials. A herald among them. But I lack the power."
"I understand your concern. However, I am busy. I wish to witness the birth of the Newest. Yet, you may yet be judged worthy of the power you seek."
"So be it..."
Minutes passed. No one answered the door.
"I'm beginning to sense a little deception here," said Strange.
"Well, this is where I'd hid if I were him, which I am," replied Tut.
"Enough of this!" shouted Marc as he grabbed Tut around the throat, holding him against the wall.
"Where are they?!"
"Marc!" exclaimed Reed in an attempt to coerce the avatar from violence.
Only Strange noticed a black chip that seemed to fall from Tut's neme when Marc violently grabbed him.
It buzzed a little and everyone now saw it, and Reed stretched out his hand and grabbed it, lifting it and listening.
"Rama Tut? Variant 561, come in!" exclaimed a cold, raspy voice from the chip.
They all looked in horror. The voice belonged to that of Immortus.
