"Ready to go, my love?" Robin kissed Lucina on the cheek as she adjusted her gloves. He was still getting used to all this, but he did not regret it in the least.

"Yes. Though I'm a bit less eager to have to explain everything."

"They'll get over it," Robin did one last check to make sure they were not forgetting anything, "Sumia might be a bit upset she wasn't invited though, but we'll make it up with the ceremony. I have been ratholing the far too large salary Chrom gives me."

Lucina could not help but giggle a little. A sound Robin was determined to hear as much of as possible, "Let's not spend all our savings. We have the future to think about."

"Quite right," Robin held the door open, "We have our futures ahead of us."

"Indeed. I think three would be a good starting number," Lucina smiled as she walked past her beloved.

"T-three? Three kids?"

"I'm, as they say, joking."

"Oh," Robin let out a breath, "I see I've been a bad influence."

"Very," Lucina continued down the stairs with Robin in tow, "But I would like to start a family. I'm just not sure I'd be a good mother."

"You'll be great," Robin pecked her on the cheek, "It's myself I'm not so sure about, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there."

"That we will."

"Though, if it's a girl, I am still partial to Morgan."

"Didn't you try to name me that?"

Robin smiled, "It's that good of a name!"

Unfortunately, the pair did have to eventually make for Ylisstol. That said, it was quite a pleasant trip. The duo seemed to be on cloud nine as they made for the capital at a leisurely pace. Neither of them were quite convinced that they had finally tied the knot. As sudden as it was, they had been pining for each other for nearly as long as they could remember.

Lucina's fears that it would not last were steadily dissolving the longer they were together. She was letting herself be happy. She felt like the two of them could take on the world. Something she felt a bit more literally when she realized they were being watched.

"Are you sure?" Robin asked, his face growing serious. Lucina did serve as a bit of an early warning system all things considered. Her hearing was nearly superhuman and her senses were well tuned to picking out danger.

"Yes. Be wary."

That was all it took for Robin to be on high alert. Fortunately, it did not take long for their followers to make themselves known.

"Hold, travelers," The two stopped their horses as a dark haired myrmidon stepped into the road. His sword immediately caught both of their attentions.

"Where did you get that?" Lucina demanded, drawing her rapier.

"Peace," He held his hands up, sword in hand, "This is your blade, Lucina. Do you not remember?"

"That's Falchion," She said matter of factly, "Chrom's blade. Are you a thief?"

The man seemed troubled if his furrowed brow was any indication. He was either a great actor…or he was sincere.

"That is true to an extent…what sort of dark arts have you used to bewitch our fair Lucina?" The man's tone turned accusatory as his gaze cut at Robin.

"I didn't do anything to her," Robin glared, "No give us back that sword, and surrender yourselves."

"This is worse than I thought," He murmured, "Very well. You leave me no choice. Justice Cabal! Move in!"

"I did not agree to that stupid name!" A woman with brunette twintails stood in next to the man. Her words were sharp, but her posture was protective. They were surrounded it seemed. The duo prepared to make a run for it, but a roar from the forest spooked their horses who ran off. Not before bucking them off though.

"Great," Robin picked himself up and offered Lucina a hand, "You alright?"

"I'm fine. Now what?"

"I guess we fight," Robin drew his blade and Lucina stood to cover his back. Behind them, Lucina spotted the pegasus knight from her wedding day looking rather upset.

"Do you really not remember us, Lucy?"

"If you really knew who I was, why wouldn't you use my birth name rather than the one Chrom gave me?"

This seemed to utterly confound the attackers. The knight finally getting out a "Huh?"

"We can sort this out later," Another swordsman with white hair noted, "For now we must subdue her. …A task I do not envy."

"Over my dead body!" Robin growled as he took a defensive stance.

"Very well!" Robin's eyes widened as a wyvern knight dove right at him. He landed with such force that his lance stuck into the ground. Had Robin not dove out of the way, he would be very much dead.

"Plegians?" Lucina asked as she parried off the white haired man and the brunette girl.

"No," Robin replied as he fired a wind spell, only for it to be intercepted by a mage hidden in the tree, "The armor doesn't fit. It looks…Ylissean almost." Which was odd as Ylisse did not have wyvern knights in its military as far as he knew.

"Snap out of it, Lucy!" The pegasus knight clashed her lance against Lucina's rapier with surprising strength and precision. She was able to break the well crafted rapier with her strike without harming Lucina, "We're the good guys here!"

"We're ready!" Their seeming leader yelled, and in a flash of light, Lucina was warped away. Robin tried to reach her, but a sharp blow to the head from the twin tailed girl's boots sent him to the dirt below. Seeing stars, Robin looked to where his wife had just been standing.

"Now, villain," The man with Falchion crouched down in front of him, blocking his view, "Tell us what enchantments you used so that we can undo them."

"Give…her back," Robin struggled to get up, but found himself being pushed back down by the girl's boot. His head was pounding. He struggled to think. He just knew he wanted her back.

"You are in no position to give demands," The dark haired man scoffed, but the white haired one seemed less certain.

"Uh, guys…" He backed up feeling something was off.

"I said…" Robin closed his eyes as he felt his rage overpower his pain. Most of the others also took a cautious step back as magic began pouring out of his body like flames, "Give her back!"

With ease, he pushed the girl off him, and with sword drawn, he stomped toward the man with Falchion with murderous intent gleaming in his eyes. A spell tried to intercept him, but Robin batted it away. He responded in kind with a bolt of purple electricity so potent, it exploded on contact, flinging the mage away. The fiery aura only died down for a moment before it was back.

"Maybe it's time to fall back," The leader swallowed, "We got what we came for. Brady!" With a flash, the unconscious mage was pulled away. In a rage, Robin unleashed a torrent of wind magic that made it impossible for the fliers to interfere and forced them to retreat. They had an archer, but every shot was easily evaded.

That left the three swordsmen against one very angry tactician.

Robin led with an almost inhumanly strong rush forward. Had his opponent been a lesser man, he would have been dead then and there. Fortunately, he had the reflexes to draw Falchion. The legendary blade took the strike from Robin's tactician's blade, but, unexpectedly, the impact also triggered an explosion which knocked the three back and blew Robin's sword from his hands.

He struggled to recover while using Falchion as a crutch, but Robin seemed to at least be back to normal. Or he was for a few seconds before the flames returned. The white haired man found himself unlucky enough to be closest to him.

"Not the face!" He winced as Robin barreled toward him, but the punch missed as he was warped to safety. This left him to glare back at the leader. However, he was intercepted by the girl who made a valiant attempt to hit him, but all failed to land. With a snarl, Robin grabbed her wrist, and with a sickening crack accompanied by her scream of pain, he pulled back and shattered it.

Robin cast her aside when the leader made a swipe at him allowing for her to be warped away. With clenched teeth, Robin approached, "Give her back!"

"She's not yours to keep, villain," He panted as he focused on dodging, not wanting to repeat the impact of their blades, "She's with her friends now, and we will undo whatever foul magic you used on her."

"She's my wife!" Robin snarled and even the mystery man seemed surprised by that before his surprise gave way to horror as Robin went for his throat. A few moments later, and he was sure he would be dead, but Brady was skilled at a staff even if his combat prowess left much to be desired.

This left Robin to miss his punch and land on the dirt. Tired, exhausted, and likely still suffering from a concussion, Robin collapsed. In anger, he punched the ground, and even that emitted a decent sized blast. However, Robin lacked the energy or will to summon that power again as he blacked out.

"What…was that?" Inigo panted holding his knees, "No one said anything about fighting a super soldier."

"At least he didn't snap your wrist," Severa moved said wrist around after Brady had finished tending to it.

"Let me go!" All eyes turned to the squirming Lucina. Nah had restrained her while Brady and Yarne tied her up. She did this by lightly stepping on her in dragon form, accidentally crushing her right gauntlet in the process. Few people were moving in that situation, but Lucina might have been one of them, so they acted quickly.

"Lucy…" Cynthia kneeled down beside her sister, "It's for your own good. Please believe me."

"You attacked us and tied me up!" Lucina shouted, "If you hurt Robin, I swear I'll-"

"Us, hurt him?" Inigo scoffed, "I think you got that backwards. Your little boyfriend is a monster."

This did actually make Lucina smile a little, but she remembered her situation soon enough.

"We should go," Owain looked up from making sure Severa was okay, "He might come after us. We should put some distance between us. Cynthia, take Lucina. We'll sort this out later."

"Roger!"

Owain sighed. What a mess.

With a groan, Robin pulled himself up when he heard the sound of wings overhead. He feared another attack, but it seemed to be a lone scout. Lowering his guard, Robin went to greet the knight.

"Sir Robin! We had feared the worst when we found your mounts alone. Are you injured? Where is Lady Lucina?"

"Captured. We need to start a search. Send word to Cordelia, we need an alpha search pattern ASAP. They have a pegasus and a wyvern. An archer and a mage as well so be wary of ranged attacks."

"I will let her know, but I'm afraid I must ask you to come with us."

Robin looked at her as if she were crazy, "Didn't you hear? Lucina's been captured by an unknown force."

"I understand, and we're already searching for her. However, the prince has summoned you. It's quite urgent."

"And what could be more important than this?"

"Sir, an invasion, sir."

"Good," Owain smiled now that Lucina had a chair to sit on and they were far from what they assumed to be her captor, "Now, let's start from the beginning." He held out Falchion to her, "Do you know what this is?"

She looked at it before his face, "It is Falchion, but I still don't know you could have stolen it."

"I didn't steal it," Owain frowned, "You gave it to me."

"I what? How outlandish is your tale going to get?"

"Very," Owain folded his arms, "For I am your cousin, Owain. Daughter of Lissa and Lon'qu."

"Preposterous, Lissa has no children."

"This one might not, but we aren't from this world. Here," Owain rolled up his sleeve, "I have the brand. Like you. Like Cynthia. Like Chrom."

"What are you saying?" Lucina scowled.

"That you, and all of us, came from another world. You lent me Falchion before I went on a mission with the others to retrieve the Fire Emblem and the gemstones. I reluctantly accepted as I could use it. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to return it before we came here.

"We came to save this world. Do you really not remember?"

"No, I…apparently hit my head," Lucina shook her head, "But your story is preposterous."

"I know. Here, Falchion is said to have healing abilities," He held the sheathed blade so she could handle the hilt with her ungloved right hand, "Touch it. Maybe it can jog your memories."

Suspicious, Lucina did grab the hilt, and almost immediately a soft glow started pouring out from the sword and onto her. It disoriented her, but not enough for her to fail in swapping the blade to her gauntleted hand and cutting the bindings holding her feet. Kicking Owain away, she freed her arms and grabbed the scabbard from the winded man.

Taking some of the spare rope, she tied him to the chair before making her escape. She did not want to fight this many skilled fighters with a weapon that made her dizzy, so she went with stealth. Fortunately, she was quite good at sneaking around. With the recovered blade on her hip, she snuck her way away from their camp.

Lucina kept moving all through the night. Her head was still spinning from earlier. Why did touching Falchion do that to her? She got flashes of images. Horrible, horrible images. They felt so real. Despire, risen, that…dragon. What could have possibly triggered such visions?

She was distracted pondering these realities when a brigand decided she would be an easy target to jump. In an instant, Lucina had Falchion out to defend herself. The brigand fell easily enough, but holding the sword in her bare hand again, it began to stitch her memories back together again.

"No! I don't…"

It hurt. Physically and mentally, but Falchion was ruthless as it mended her mind. Every horror remembered, every loss painful. It was coming back whether she wanted it or not.

Breathing heavily, Lucina clutched Falchion as she forced herself upright. Her mission. Her past. Grima. She remembered it all. She also remembered Valm, but she hesitated. She had not intended to interfere so directly, but people would worry if she went missing. Her husband would miss her.

Lucina swallowed. She was not sure how to deal with that. She would have to figure something out. As a pegasus knight patrol circled overhead, she whispered an apology. To her sister, to Owain and the others for forgetting them. To her husband for what she had to do. He was a good man. He did not deserve this.

But Lucina had a mission, and she believed it had to take precedence.
