Author's Note: Thank you for following the story! Just a heads up, this isn't an action story, but a NejiSaku romance. In this chapter, we're going to dig deeper into their relationship. Alright, let's jump straight into the story with a whole chapter of fluffiness!
Chapter 3
The Hyuuga prodigy had his own separate living quarters, just like the one she had. Only the most respectful members, like him, had a legitimate claim to stay here.
"You can take your shoes off here… like before."
He opened the sliding door for her. She was one of the few recent visitors he had.
"Okay, it wasn't my first visit," she said with a nod.
Sakura felt his eyes on her and got a familiar feeling in her stomach as he closed the door. She had spent a lot of time here with him for his routine checkup three years ago.
This was his sanctuary, his home. It looked exactly how she remembered it, with sleek, contemporary modern décor and neatly organized shelves. It accurately reflected his demeanor. Calm and composed. She smelled something natural in the living room. She found solace in the delicate scent of reeds. During his absence, the smell faded. He had turned on the lights, but the room was only partially illuminated.
"Your house… is well-kept," she said, scanning the room, her gaze darting from one corner to the next.
He took off his cloaks and hung them up with his sling carrier and sword. While his clock was off, Sakura couldn't help but briefly stare at his impressive physique. The sleeveless Anbu vest shows off his chiseled torso, accentuating his broad shoulders and toned biceps.
"Hm… Not much time to actually be home." Being an Anbu meant he rarely got to spend time at home.
Her eyes wondered before settled on a conveniently placed medical cabinet above his drawer. It wasn't there before. She opened it and found basic first aid supplies as well as sterile wound dressings. A typical hospital-phobic shinobi he was, her lips curving into a gentle smile.
Neji glanced in the same direction as her, "Oh, just if anything happens, the Hyuuga medics are prepared for anything. Take them, they're yours to use," he said.
"Oh, that's awesome," she said, nodding in agreement. There was tension between them every time their gazes crossed.
The pinkette went through it and found a few items scattered about, and there was a shortage of supplies. His belongings were off-limits to anyone who dared to tamper with them. She couldn't help but wonder why there were so many damn pain relievers.
"I'll be back shortly. Please take your time."
"Everything's fine."
Sakura found herself alone as Neji excused himself to the bathroom.
The living area was perfect for him. Cozy with soft lighting and simple decorations. Just what he needed after a tiring day of missions. The plush blue linen sofa that sat in the center was tempting her to sit and relax. The twin seats, meant for a couple, were accompanied by a wooden coffee table. They looked almost untouched.
She peeked into the kitchen and saw that it was perfectly clean. Her eyes settled on the complete set of cooking utensils. She knew he'd been cooking and was curious about his culinary prowess. The small dining space looked perfect for romantic meals. Again, Sakura got annoyed by her own imagination.
Gazing at the cozy king-size bed in the corner, she couldn't handle the thought of him being with his ex, and her jealousy reached its boiling point. She couldn't help but fantasize about the Hyuuga in a steamy way. She knew it was silly, but maybe venting her frustration on the bed would make her feel better.
Taking a deep breath, she clenched her fists and pushed her destructive thoughts away. Her eyes shifting from his bed to the nearby desk. As she walked towards the organized work table, piled high with scrolls and paperwork neatly. Her attention was drawn to a medical report sitting on the desk. It had a classified sticker affixed on the cover, hinting at its significance.
"Haruno," he called over his shoulder.
"Y-Yeah?" she said, jumping and looking startled before quickly composing herself. She tilted her head, listening, but her eyes were focused on the report.
"It would be better not to pry," the Hyuuga advised. He glanced at her briefly while he continued to work on removing his Anbu gear.
To avoid raising any suspicions, she politely stated, "No, I didn't even look at it!" It might not have been the best decision to invade Hyuuga's privacy, considering their 360-degree vision. She was left wondering what kind of harm he had been keeping hidden from her.
"Hmm…" He didn't believe her at all, but he decided to let it go.
She caught a glimpse of him in the bathroom across the room, door left open. He removed his armor, revealing a black undershirt. He removed his gear and struggled to take off his arm guards, but eventually succeeded and moved on to the forehead binding. The pinkette noticed his struggle with his hand.
"Let me help," she offered, joining him in the bathroom.
"Hmm, please..."
Sakura was relieved he agreed. She saw it as a sign of trust from the Anbu captain, not an invasion of his privacy. He tilted his head for her to reach. She moved closer to him and was immediately drawn to his towering six-foot frame and impressive physique.
Her hands reach around untie his forehead binding. During a crucial moment in the war, his cursed seal shattered. She slowly unwrapped the bandages, unveiling his flawless forehead as it softly dropped on the floor. His long, dark brown hair hung loosely from his ponytail, draping down to his waist.
The pinkette tugged at his hair, brushing past his neck. He was almost startled by the touch, but he welcomed it. She tamed the ends with her fingers and tied them loosely. The Hyuuga found comfort in the strange familiarity of quiet. He loved it when she did this for him, alone, in his private quarters.
Next, she tugged at his undershirt, wanting them off before he could object or say anything. Blood seeped through the fabric. It was worse than she expected. He stopped her hand abruptly.
"I'm sorry, I gotta take this off," she said. She noticed his hesitation and couldn't help but smirk. "It's not like I haven't seen you naked before, Neji-san. Come on, I won't bite."
"Fine."
The pupilless silver orbs stared intently at the medic, obeying their command. He'd grown accustomed to exposing his body to medics as it was a standard examination procedure.
"Thanks for understanding," Sakura said with a smile.
She made sure not to make his wound worse as she helped him take off his undershirt, trying to calm her racing heart at the same time.
Before her, the Anbu captain stood shirtless in his glory.
Meeting this chiseled torso again it took her breath away. Every scar served as his greatest achievement, a testament to his dedication as a captain. She was totally checking him out for way longer than necessary.
"Found something interesting?"
She momentarily blushed and stuttered, "I-I was merely conducting a light examination. I'm glad you made it easier for me to get you out of your clothes this time."
"You're welcome. I won't tell anyone about your obsession with my abs," he teased, pleased that he still had the power to get a reaction out of her.
"I see you've been practicing this a lot on your Anbu medic," she mocked. "Your wound wasn't even treated properly."
"I'm doing well. It wasn't all that bad," he said reassuringly.
"Yeah, I'm overreacting," she enjoyed their banter and got excited whenever he teased her.
For some time, the two of them simply stared at each other in silence. His face was so charming, it made her heart race.
"W-Why don't you just wait for me outside? I just need to grab some supplies from the medical cabinet."
"Alright."
The prodigy could never defeat her in the ward, no matter how hard he tried. He walked into the living room and sat on the couch, checking on his injuries.
After gathering the items, Sakura returned to her favorite patient. He was sitting on the couch, shirtless. The intensity of his stare and the attention it commanded caught her off guard, her stomach began to flutter. She couldn't tell if he was looking at her outfit or her lack of curves.
She usually throws on a loose top and her favorite black shorts, sometimes skipping the bra. It made her feel comfortable, like she was at home.
Damn. His heart skipped a beat, she had no bra on. He was accustomed to sharing a tent with kunoichi, he would turn his back when they changed. The orange t-shirt was too big for her and the front fell too low. Out of courtesy, he tried not to look at her chest, but now he couldn't stop thinking about it. He stayed calm, not giving away any of his emotions.
"What's with the serious face?" she asked, playfully poking fun at his stiff and cold expression.
Sakura placed the things on the coffee table and then sat on her knees in front of him.
He seemed more toned than before. From his bulging biceps to his chiseled pectorals, down to his toned abs and a tantalizing V-line that led to somewhere she wouldn't dare explore. Seeing this body reminded her of taking care of it in the past. She wanted to push him down on the couch, straddle him, and kiss her way down his stomach. She controlled her blush well due to her professional training.
"Are you perhaps dressed a little too casually?"
"Do my clothes feel weird to you? Thanks for letting me know that it bothers you," she chuckled.
Maybe he shouldn't have asked.
"And here I thought my clothes were the ultimate in comfort! Hinata-chan told me to make myself at home, so…" she said as she started cleaning his wound.
He handled the sting of the antiseptic wipe well. She looked back and forth between him and the task, carefully observing him.
"I have various assortments, like the Uchiha, Hatake, Yamanaka, and even Inuzuka. The Hyuuga is the only one I haven't gotten yet," she said, sneaking a quick look at him to see how he would react.
Neji raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise. Was Sakura flirting with him, or was she just being weird?
"Are you asking if you can have one of mine?" He asked, looking straight into emerald's, his eyes sparkling mischievously. "You can just ask for it. Wasn't that what you meant?" He smirked.
She pondered over his words and understood them immediately. "Uh, don't you dare misunderstand? I'm not a creepy pervert!" She exclaimed, her face turning red from embarrassment.
It was only natural for his Byakugan to notice her eyes on him and the way her touch lingered on his torso longer than needed for medical reasons. He liked the way she blushed just for him.
"Ahem, let's get this healing started already, Haruno," he said. He turned his gaze away to give her room and regain his calm expression.
Sakura quickly pulled her hand back, realizing that she had accidentally grazed his chest.
"Of course, I'm totally working on it!"
As soon as she finished disinfecting his wound, she settled herself on the couch and gestured for him to face the other way so she could begin healing on his back, and he complied. She carefully inspected the deep puncture wound on his shoulder.
"Gomen ne, this might hurt a bit," she whispered softly.
A gentle green glow enveloped her hand. With utmost precision, she placed her palm directly over his injury to heal the deep cut. He could feel her healing chakra flowing through his veins, soothing but not overly cold, definitely nothing to complain about.
"Will you tell me about your injuries?" She asked, effortlessly transitioning into her role as a medic. She followed the standard protocol.
"Sorry, Haruno, but that's classified. I can't divulge any details."
"Nothing I've ever encountered," Sakura said, crossing her arms and glaring at him.
"Fine. We're on a mission to eliminate the Root Rebels. It was about time we ended their reign of terror."
"Wasn't the mission a success?"
"Yep, it was. As we checked out the aftermath, it seems they found a new technique, and it gave us some trouble."
"What happened exactly? No one stands a chance against you, not with those heightened senses of yours."
The Tenseigan power was on a whole different level. Their power was unmatched, and their skills were unparalleled. Any attempt the opponent made would be nothing but a futile effort to fight them. She knew the man. He'd always been one step ahead of everyone else.
"Well, during the battle, they ended up using a forbidden suicide jutsu on us…"
The captain conceded that he was fortifying his defenses for the imminent assault on his squad. With just one strike, the deadly jutsu could wipe out his entire team. "Yet we succeeded in eliminating the attack."
"You pushed yourself too much, Neji," she scolded. "I'm glad the veins weren't cut too deeply," she added, focusing more chakra in her palm and mending the injury in seconds. She applied her special cream to the wound, determined to erase any evidence of it once it healed.
Sakura was in awe as she tended to his injuries. Throughout it all, the Hyuuga showed remarkable composure and showed no signs of whining.
"Do you feel better?"
"Much better, thank you." Neji flexed his shoulder, amazed at how well the injury had healed.
Sakura slipped her hand around his bulging bicep as she wrapped the bandage around his shoulder. She started to treat his minor injuries. Examining his appearance. Skeptical, his skin had many cuts and abrasions. She wanted to learn the important missing details.
"Neji, I wonder why you're more wounded than I thought."
Neji knew he couldn't hide anything from the legendary medic. He activated the defensive shield while in Tenseigan mode as he flew into the sky. He extended the range, exceeded his limit, and was lifted higher by the wind. He felt his mind shutting down rapidly in that moment as he struggled to stay conscious, sensing a hidden threat in his nerves but not wanting to worry her yet. He plummeted towards the ground when his chakra mode went out, but he managed to control his descent and minimize the damage he was about to take.
He took a quick look at the pinkette to assess her response.
"Y-You did what?! That's why your tenketsu were burning and your body was bruised!" Sakura exclaimed and looked at him with astonishment. After a moment, she asked, "Does it... hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt all that much," he reassured, trying to convince her that the level of pain was manageable.
But the truth was that when he pushed himself to the brink, his body was engulfed in flames. However, it wasn't something he couldn't handle. He had experienced worse things in the Fourth Shinobi War.
"Captain Hyuuga, you never fail to astound me. I understand that you value duty and honor. You know, taking care of yourself should be a top priority as well."
Worry lines marred her pretty face, and she was upset about his neglect of his own well-being.
"Mhm," he agreed with a hum.
"You chose to save lives, and I chose to save you."
"My apologies," he stammered as he apologized. He couldn't help but feel guilty and remorseful for ignoring his own self-care, which most likely worried her.
Sakura noticed a strange energy in his veins during the healing. There was a potential threat hidden inside him, but it had now become apparent. She decided to watch him closely and check the medical report on his desk in case any problems came up.
"If you ever need me I'm right next door."
"Alright. What brings you here?"
She knew he was going to ask anyway. "Hinata-chan asked me to stay 'cause I had nowhere else to go. You know, I don't live in a fancy compound."
He grinned slightly and remarked, "Mhm, I can totally sense the bitterness in your words." He knew her apartment was in bad shape from the war. He had always heard how brave her parents were during the war. They fought bravely and made it through. "Your parents? Are they still going around the world?"
"Yeah. Why aren't you glad to see me?"
"I'm quite surprised to see you here. Feel free to stay. What's keeping you up at this hour?"
"Old habits die hard," the pinkette mumbled, giving her reason for having trouble sleeping. The life of a shinobi was came with little to no sleep.
"Excuse me for being blunt, but you look awful. Try to get some sleep at the very least."
"Oh, well, thank you for that observation. You don't look great either!" She retaliated.
It was his presence that kept her from sleeping the most, but she wouldn't have it any other way. "But, you know, being watched over by your clan is not something I enjoy," she said, chuckling.
"We're all about respecting privacy and never ever intrude."
"Oh, that makes me feel so much better!"
Sakura couldn't deny that she loved being alone with him in silence. This unspoken connection made strategic planning and training feel natural and easy. Neji's calm and composed demeanor perfectly complemented her fiery stubbornness, making the two of them unstoppable on any mission in the past.
Noticing how time went by. Exhaustion was finally taking over, and she couldn't ignore it anymore. She knew that even if she was super tired, she would totally do it all over again just to be with him.
All major injuries were healed, leaving his handsome face with battle bruises. This man just kept getting hotter and hotter; his magnetism charm strengthens with age. She was captivated by his two moons, drawing her closer like a magnetic force. Has his Tenseigan fully reached its potential? With his natural ability to learn, the prodigy probably mastered them alone. She could see her own reflection in his dreamy eyes as she reached out to touch his face.
Neji was lost in his own world and liked her gentle touch on his face. Her half-closed eyes were unfocused and fixed on him, and they seemed to be wandering. She collided with him unexpectedly when her pink hair brushed against his face, and she fell onto his lap. He was always attracting the ladies' attention. He couldn't stop people from throwing themselves at him, but he always stayed cool and focused on his duties, never succumbing to their advances. He tried to ignore the fact that this was the cherry blossom he wanted.
Neji held her in his arms and saw that she was asleep. He enjoyed the pleasant and invigorating smell of her, which improved his mood.
"Sakura...? Are you okay?" He asked if he could wake her up gently.
He may be overlooking something. He checked her pulse by placing his fingertips on her neck. Her heartbeat was normal. No chakra exhaustion was observed. The woman had dark circles under her closed eyes, a minor disruption in her vein, and a calm expression on her face. She had just passed out again from being too tired.
His feelings for Sakura came back strong.
During his stay in the hospital, Neji listened to the pinkette talk about her relationship problems. He had never had a long conversation with a woman that wasn't professionally related. He had difficulty finding the right words, but he listened intently. Sakura and the Uchiha made a good match. The Avenger changed drastically and was making efforts to atone for his past wrongdoing. They collaborated often on the mission to bring the scroll of peace to Konoha. As he learned more about her, every mention of the Uchiha stirred a strange feeling within him that he couldn't quite explain. He was never one to feel jealous. He was certain that the Uchiha would guard her and committed to never leaving her again.
Wait, did he feel jealous of the Uchiha?
He suddenly realized why he was upset, he was falling in love with the pink-haired kunoichi. Whatever the reason, he had to fix it right away. She was his medic, comrade, and friend. He pushed his feelings to the bottom of his heart so as not to upset her or make their friendship less trusting. Although it surprised him that they did not exchange vows, it wasn't something he should make a comment about.
Neji was taken aback by her occasional obliviousness, falling asleep anywhere without realizing it. It was as if she knew he would always be there to watch her and safeguard her. He wondered if she felt safe with him, trusted him that he would never hurt her in any way. How many times did he hold her this way and carry her back to the tent? How she would pull him closer for warmth and comfort. In the endless defensive battle, they fought wave after wave, night after night. Setting aside his memories, he enjoyed holding her and watching her sleep.
"Tell me what you want me to do, Sakura," he murmured.
He picked her up and held her in his arms. He couldn't believe how lucky he was tonight. Loose clothes, warm skin, and soft breathing on his neck. His heart was thumping. With a measure of decorum, he tucked in one of his pajamas from his dresser and draped it over her body as a mark of decency. On the softly lit veranda, Neji carried Sakura back to the room beside his.
The Hyuuga gently laid her on the bed, making sure they were both snugly wrapped in the warm covers. As he did, his lips brushed against her forehead unintentionally. He couldn't just sit on the mattress beside her, watching her. He leaned in again, pressing his lips lightly on her diamond seal with a sincere intention. He knew it was wrong, but he was satisfied with just being close to her.
As Sakura's eyelids fluttered open, her heart skipped a beat at the familiar face that greeted her. He sat patiently by her bedside.
"N-Ne-ji?" She stumbled.
"I'm sorry, did I startle you?" He whispered, trying to keep his cool. Feeling a surge of skepticism about getting caught of kissing her.
"N-No, it's fine. Did I just pass out again?" She remembered healing the Anbu captain in his quarters, but she couldn't remember going back to her own.
"Yeah, you did."
As the realization dawns upon her, a delicate blush graces her cheeks. The Hyuuga had carried her back to her room after she passed out from exhaustion. It had been ages since she last felt the warmth of his embrace, a bittersweet reminder of the affection they once shared.
"You should've given me a nudge to wake me up," she mumbled, her voice filled with embarrassment.
"I did, but you were sound asleep."
"Thank you, if it wasn't too much of a trouble," she was always grateful for his consideration.
"Just take a rest now. You need to get your strength back up," he said soothingly.
He watched as her face turned red. He picked up on that, and he responded in the right way. "Are you feeling well? You look flushed."
"I-I'm perfectly fine," she politely replied as he checked her temperature with the back of his hand. She was warm all over. Even though his touch was light and clinical, it set her heart racing.
"Normal temperature," he said, withdrawing his hand.
Her heart sank with disappointment when Neji pulled his hand away. She wondered how it would feel to be intimately touched by him.
Her cheeks were redder, and an intensified chakra pulsed around her heart. Both of them said something was bothering her, and she got nervous and jittery when he touched her. Could it be… a sign of infatuation? What else could it be? He smiled to himself, pleased with how she was reacting to him.
"You nodded off without warning again, snuggling up to anyone," he murmured. "Hmm… Is this a regular occurrence?" He was intended to be harmless, but he ended up sounding possessive.
"Certainly not!" She quickly added, "This isn't something I do with every guy. Please don't think of me as one of those women…" She sounded just like his girl without him realizing it, calming his insecurities. "I'm not that desperate, you know…" She had seen too many times how the man dealt with mission patrons throwing themselves at him.
It had been a while since she last collapsed like this. Perhaps it was he who always there for her when she needed him the most. His presence, as well as his scent, made her feel safe. She wished she could pull him in closer and sink into the soft sheets together. Simply because of him. She missed him.
"Are you sure about that?" he teased, a little smile forming on his face.
"Just 'cause I feel comfortable sleeping in your arm doesn't mean it happens all the time!"
"Alright, I got it." Her words relieved him of all his doubts. "So, you're saying you enjoy snuggling up to me?" He smiled, his eyes narrowing playfully. He just loved messing with her.
"Yeah, I have my standards." She told him like he was her standard now. She might have done better to talk less to this expert on interrogations. She was too tired to think straight, so she just blurted out everything. She quickly explained, "I-I mean, I've been working nonstop in the lab for five days and haven't had much sleep."
"Understood. It's more of a rare thing then," he nodded. "That was quite a demanding job you had in Suna," he said with a lighthearted chuckle.
Her dedication to improving shinobi society through medical research was something Neji always admired. He wished he could be there for her to help her in any way he could and see her dreams come true.
"Relax, you are so tense," Neji said, casually brushing a strand of pink hair out of her face. The frown on her face was accompanied by swollen, throbbing veins that beat with her heart.
"If you didn't tease me so much, I wouldn't be feeling this frustrated!"
His touch was light and comforting. She watched as the Hyuuga activated his bloodline, his temples showing strained veins as he focused. His white eyes looked beautiful in the dim light. He moved closer to her, his face looming over hers and his long hair hanging loosely around his shoulders.
Sakura just couldn't take her eyes off of him, even when he frowned, he was so handsome. She wondered what he would do next.
"I apologize. Hold still," he instructed, his voice deep and reliable.
Neji scanned her intricate chakra network and struck a few of her tenketsu with precision, cutting off her chakra flow just enough to concentrate on his healing jutsu. Just as he expected, her temples and shoulders were vibrating with chakra disruptions.
"Tell me if this hurts," he prompted, his voice tenderly calming. Having expressed his intentions, he channeled a soft breeze of energy from his fingertips, flowing into her tenketsu. "This is an effective way to relieve your headache. It sealed away your pain and stabilized your chakra flow."
Sakura shuddered at the initial contact with his chakra. The sensation was mildly uncomfortable but tolerable. The pain was invigorating and made her feel alive. She had been in pain and worn out for a while. She had been putting in too much effort recently, and it was beginning to show.
"You should've told me you were tired," he said, his voice tinged with a hint of frustration, concerned for her well-being.
"I didn't want to bother you."
After learning that Neji had agreed to an arranged marriage, Sakura let go of her feelings for him. She would never forget the way in which he intertwined his hand with that of his betrothed. It still hurts to think about it. He was the reason she agreed to go to Suna on a long-term medical-diplomatic mission.
"You could never bother me."
"I could totally handle it by myself... I'm also worried about your wound," she said with a deep sigh of weariness.
His healing chakra was resonating with hers, sending a gentle and soothing energy that restored balance and brought deep calmness to her veins. Her headache went away slowly. He was very good at this. The medic was not accustomed to receiving medical attention, so it was really nice to be able to relax while someone else took care of her.
"I know, and I appreciate that," he replied, his tone softening. "Are you feeling any better?" he asked, gently massaging her temples with his fingers with practiced precision. His eyes never left hers as he searched for signs of discomfort.
"It feels good," she said. When she could finally open her eyes, she did so slowly and looked at him. "Thank you, Neji."
"You're welcome!"
Her face gradually lost its expression of agony, giving way to one of calm contentment. She had been staring at him for quite some time, seemingly lost in thought. His words were few and far between, he wasn't a much of a talker. If she continued to stare at him like this, it would be too distracting.
"Could you please close your eyes?" he asked as he returned her gaze.
"Is my stare a little too much for you to handle?" She joked, meeting his gaze with a playful smirk.
"Haruno, your eyes are almost begging you to take a break."
"All right, all right," Sakura complied, and she rested her eyes with a cheerful expression on her face.
This was likely the Hyuuga Gentle Touch that Hinata mentioned. Their excellent chakra control made it similar to medical ninjutsu. She supposed Neji was one of the Hyuuga who could use their juken for healing.
As a courtesy, he told her he would begin healing her shoulder before touching her. Her muscles were extremely tense. With a rhythmic motion of his hand, the tension was subsequently alleviated.
"Do you know you're amazing, Captain Hyuuga?" she asked.
He raised an eyebrow, questioning.
"That you're a therapist! Is there something you can't do?"
"Don't try to flatter me. I'm going to start charging you."
"I was saying nice things about you, Neji! You know, you can be such an arrogant jerk sometimes," she muttered under her breath.
Neji smiled a little, happy that she thought so highly of him.
"Enough talking," his voice low and commanding.
Soon, her chakra flow returned to normal. The agitation and tightness that had built up in her muscles began to dissipate. The sleep deprivation of 72 hours was taking a toll on her body, and she finally drifted off to sleep.
He took off her hair tie and put it on the nightstand. Then he ran his fingers through her messy bun to loosen it up. He covered her with a duvet and made sure she was comfortable for the night. He kissed her on the forehead and took one last long look at her face as she slept. After a soft click, he shut the door behind him and went to his room.
It was never his intention to enter a marriage engagement. His clan had already begun planning for the second. He wondered if he was ready for a new relationship. He had doubts about women only liking him for his looks and status after his first engagement.
Sakura was going to stay in the compound for a while. Hanging out with her was enjoyable. He was glad to see her again. They were going to spend some quality time together soon. Maybe, just maybe, this was the beginning of something more.
