Chapter 02 – Partners in the Darkness

1 Day Later.

It's only been one day since the insanity of the U.S.J. invasion by the League of Villains.

The students have been traumatized by their near deaths at the hands of Villains and I'm positive they will be talking to psychologists for years to come. The Teachers are angry that the students they are supposed to protect, and nurture got attacked by society's worst. The parents are horrified that their children were nearly murdered while in High School. The Public is upset that Villains managed to infiltrate the world's best hero school, so there are investigations. The rumors about the American Villains and Nomu are also spreading, which has put the focus on me.

I went to Principal Nezu and talked to me, Aizawa, Yagi, and Yagi's detective friend - Naomasa Tsukauchi. I told them some truths that form a believable story. Now, I'm going to share the story to Class 1-A.

"Listen up everyone, I have something to share." I call out to the class, while Aizawa the mummified hobo sits nearby. The class becomes quiet as they all want answers.

"You're all wondering how I was able to beat the American Villains and especially how I was able to match All Might and destroy that Man-Spider Nomu by myself."

"Yes, Side Character! Explain How!?" says the angry Bakugo, nothing new.

"The answer is I didn't do it alone."

"What?" asks the Class, except for Izumi.

"Everyone, met my partner in combat – Kuroyami." I say as my other oozes from body. It's harder to see when I'm wearing a black costume, but when I'm wearing a school uniform the oily black ooze is clear to see. A blob rises on my shoulder forming a face with large tattered white spots for eyes and a small mouth of sharp white teeth.

"Greeting, Class 1-A. I am Kuroyami." says the symbiote formally, "It's a pleasure to finally meet you all."

The class erupts into questions with the loudest being Bakugo with a yell of "What the Fuck!?"

"Except for Bakugo. You're too loud." adds Kuroyami.

"Fuck you slimer!"

"Everyone, calm down and I'll explain things."

It takes a couple of minutes, but the class soon settles. Bakugo is glaring, Izuku looks nervous, and Izumi looks worried.

"Kuroyami's father is a very dangerous and sadistic Villain known as Knull. Knull hates everyone and everything and controls primordial darkness as the King in Black. He'll kill anyone that comes into his territory and created his children to be extensions of his power. Eventually due to the actions of a Hero, the family rebelled against Knull and imprisoned him. Then members of the family went out into the world, wanting to become Heroes themselves."

"Rebellion against Evil is a Heroic trait." says Tokoyami, "What is his Quirk?"

"[Symbiosis]"

"Symbiosis?" questions some of the classmates, but Izuku, Ida, and Momo recognize the word.

"The interaction between two different organisms living in close physical association, typically to the advantage of both." says Momo, "One example is the Common Clownfish and Magnificent Sea Anemones. The fish driving off butterflyfish that fed on the anemone and the anemone's tentacles protecting the fish from predators."

"Symbiosis can be divided into three forms. Mutualism where both parties benefit from the interaction, Commensalism where one entity benefits and the other is neither helped nor hindered, and parasitism where one benefits at the harm of the other." says Izuku, "There are other forms of symbiosis, but those are the three main definitions."

"In Kurayami's case, I act as its host providing the nutrients it needs to survive, while augmenting my physical abilities, providing protection, and turning emotions into power. He acts a lot like Tokoyami's [Dark Shadow] only goopy." I explain because the bird-headed man and his quirk to both raise eyebrows. Dark Shadow has eyebrows?

"Why did you become the host to Kurayami?" asks Izuku.

"Kurayami consumes a lot of nutrients to the point where he would be parasitic to other people. A normal person would become ill and possibly die of organ failure after prolonged time as a host. Luckly, he found me." I explain to my girlfriend's brother and the class, "I am his ideal host as my own Quirk provided him with all the nutrients he needs to survive. With me, the Symbiosis is mutualistic in nature. Also, I protect him."

"Protect him?" asks Mina.

"He was weak to Fire and Sound like Dark Shadow is to Light. His bonding with me removed his weakness to Fire." I explain, then looking at Izuku, "I also protect him from biased public opinion. He's essentially an ooze-based mutant who needs to take hosts to survive – He would instantly be labeled a Villain by the public."

I note as it's common for those with unattractive mutations to be treated horribly. Nobody really complains if you're a majestic dragon or a sexy bunny girl, but if you're scary looking you're treated like a Villain. This prejudice even led to a cult - Creature Rejection Clan – who committed radical and violent crimes against Mutants.

The CRC have been quiet since a failed raid against a Heteromorphic Support Group. They found out far too late that the Support Group had two guest Heroes – Gang Orca and Godzillo. Those that managed to escape are probably still healing broken bones and bruises.

"Ooze-based Mutants have it the worst. Especially since the Incident with the Sludge Villain that Izuku and Bakugo encountered."

The Class looks at Deku and Bakugo, remembering the news report about the Incident.

"It's also one of the reasons I didn't tell people. I didn't want them to have a panic attack."

"Screw you, Ink Stain! I'm not weak!" yells Bakugo.

"I'm not scared." says Izuku with mustered confidence.

"He helped you save us." says Kirishima, "So that Heroic."

Kurayami is enjoying the acceptance, and I can feel it through our bond. He would blush at some of the praise, but he's an extraterrestrial who has more in common with road tar than human biology.

"It's been decided by Principal Nezu that Kurayami will become a Special Student of Class 1-A." says Aizawa causing a little commotion. It's not that he's a parasitic mutant that they are protesting, it's that he's getting free ride. All the students had to sweat for their positions.

"I've been the host of Kurayami since before school started. I literally got him on the day I got my acceptance letter, and he has learned everything I have since then. It does make things a little complicated as I've become a two-in-one deal for any Hero agency." I say with a smile, getting a few laughs, "The same is true for you Tokoyami. Dark Shadow is sentient, so you two are essentially Siblings."

"Siblings?" thinks the chuuni Hero staring at his shadowy Quirk who has the same expression (Tho it's hard to see on a living shadow).

"Maybe he's unborn sister or brother born from darkness as your Quirk?" I add, causing Tokoyami to smile.

The future Hero Tsukuyomi must be happy to finally have a dark backstory. By the looks on the faces of classmates, they've also realized why their avian classmate is happy. This reminds me, I should show Tokoyami Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute (Eminence of Shadow) DVD – I'm sure he would enjoy the pre-Quirk anime about a chunni who is reincarnated in another world and all his delusions become reality.

"You can take your seat." says Aizawa and I do. Aizawa gets to his feet and some of my classmates look worried for their teacher. He almost died yesterday, severely beaten and broken by the Nomu. Recovery Girl and several high-level doctors were able to put him back together and heal him to the point he's no longer in danger of dying. He's still in rough shape because his body didn't have the stamina needed for a full heal. If Recovery Girl had tried to heal him further, he would have died from the energy drain.

"Are you sure you should be standing, Sir?" asks Ida.

"You're still recovering, Sensei." says Mina.

"Shouldn't you be resting after that trauma?" asks Ochako.

"My well-being doesn't matter. More importantly, the fight is not yet over."

"Fight?"

The class tenses up.

"The U.A. sports festival is drawing near." says Aizawa

The class expels their breath.

"That's a super normal school event!"

"The sports festival!" says another excited classmate.

"That's a super normal school event- Wait a minute. Is it okay to have a sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?" asks Izuku, "What if they attack us again or something?"

"Apparently, they think of it as the Academy showing that our crisis management system is solid as a rock by holding the event. Security will also be strengthened to five times that of previous years. Above all, our sports festival is a huge opportunity. It's not an event to be cancelled because of a few villains."

In other words, the pencil pushers and Hero Commission don't want the U.A. to look weak in front of the public. So, they are willing send potential mentally damaged Heroes to compete in a Festival that draws more attention than the Pre-Quirk Olympics.

"I won't be able compete in the last part." I say out loud.

"What do you mean?" asks Izuku, sounding worried.

"You're not going to chicken out, Ink Stain?!" yells Bakugo, who wants to fight me.

"The first two events, Tho changing each year, allow for team ups. Classmates are allowed to work together, so their class comes out ahead. A previous class 1-B won the two events by teaming against the other classes."

"What about 1-A?"

"There wasn't one. Aizawa expelled the entire class during the Quirk Assessment Test."

Everyone freezes for a second realizing Aizawa could have expelled them all on the first day.

"The point is the last Event doesn't change. It's a Tournament with one vs one battles." I explain, pointing at Kurayami, "Unlike Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, me and Kurayami are not classified as a single entity. Despite a little rule bending for Quirks, you can't have two vs one in a Tournament."

"That sucks for you!" says Kirishima. "The Tournament is where everyone shows off, so they can get picked by Pro-Heroes."

"I guess that means I'll have to show my stuff with first two events."

The U.A. Sports Festival is a great opportunity for students from each of the departments of the U.A. High School. For the students of the Hero Department, the U.A. Sports Festival gives them the opportunity to display their abilities in front of Pro Heroes who might want to hire them after graduation. For the students from the General Department, this event gives them the chance to prove that they are worthy of being transferred to the Hero Departments based on the results of the U.A. Sports Festival. The reverse is also possible if Hero Department students perform subpar.

Students from the Support and Business Departments can also be transferred but prefer to use the "Sports Festival" for other purposes. Advertising their merchandise and demonstrating their skills for example. According to an article I read, there was once a Business Student who did well in Tournament and became a multi-millionaire after he graduated U.A. People don't talk about him because he later lost his fortune in a legal dispute with Detnerat Company.

I was a little surprised that all participating students had to get blood and urine tests before being allowed to compete. Just as people in the pre-Quirk Olympics needed to be tested for steroids, doping, and other methods of cheating, the U.A. medical must make sure their students aren't using Quirk boosters or hidden illegal support items. A couple of years ago, there was even a star student found dead after he used a Quirk booster before the festival, his heart unable to take the strain the drug put It under.

"...Nemo Garaki."

In the original MHA timeline, a speech would be given to students by the student who got the highest score on Entrance Exam, which unfortunately would have been Bakugo. Bakugo would have just told people that he was going to win and made all the other students in all the classes angry.

In this world, due to a certain incident involving the reporters, Bakugo will not be giving the Opening Speech. Instead, the new speaker was randomly selected from the remaining Four of the Top Five.

Make a Speech for the U.A. Sports Festival.

I hate giving Speeches. In my first life, I had problems with standing in front of large crowds and when my class had a chance to be on live TV, I snuck away. We were inside a mall, and I ended up watching the news broadcast on a tv in an electronics store around the corner. I do have to say one thing about my modified Nomu body, I don't show how nervous I am on my face.

"Hero" is the one word our society is obsessed with. There are many types of Hero. There are Pro Heroes who treat Heroism as a Profession – a job in which they earn fame and fortune, and people are saved in the process. There are Fake Heroes who forget the reason why Heroes exist – to save the lives of people and to fight what others cannot. True Heroes are people who can overcome fear to do the right thing, even if there is a cost. Anyone can be a True Hero. It doesn't matter if the person has a strong Quirk or Quirk less. Everyone has potential. This Festival is merely a step for the students in their self-discovery. Will you fall? Will you stand? Will you GO BEYOND?" raising my Tar-black fist with my voice, the crowd joins me "PLUS ULTRA!"

My insanely deep baritone seemed to shake the Stadium and the crowd was cheering. It's not a perfect speech as I do see some concerned faces. The Hero Public Safety Commission is probably concerned that I mentioned Fake Heroes as they prefer to keep those dark marks out of the public image, eliminating them with agents like Lady Nagant (before her conscious overwhelmed her). I wonder how the League is reacting.

Tomura Shigaraki is watching the U.A. Sports Festival. He used to love to watch Heroes as a child, but he now hates Society because it rejected him. He still possesses his Hero Analyse skills and his teacher had him watch the sports festival to learn more about his enemies. Sensei even had a quote from a famous Chinese strategist.

"Know thy enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles, you will never be defeated. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself, you are sure to be defeated in every battle."

Tomura can understand that quote. There are some video games in which if you just start attacking enemies you will get annihilated repeatedly. On the other hand, if you know the weaknesses and plan ahead, the game becomes a cakewalk. The U.S.J. was a mess because he didn't know anything about the students. Seriously, who drops a water-type frog girl into a Water environment?

"Nemo. I thought our spy was supposed to hide, instead he became a Secret Boss and took out all the Americans." says Tomura scratching his neck.

"The loss of the Americans was not a big loss. We knew that Octavius and Osborn were planning to betray us." comes Sensei's voice over the communications, "Now, the foreigners have been eliminated from the board as possible rivals. Octavius is dead and Osborn is in the care of the good doctor."

"Interesting Prologue." says Tomura listening to Nemo's speech, wondering when he'll finally be able to eliminate the Freak Nomu.

Chizome Akaguro, also known as Hero Killer: Stain, and formerly the vigilante Stendhal, is a villain and ex-vigilante that is notorious for having killed many Pro Heroes. He's currently listening in on the sports festival, listening to the speech from the student with the deep voice.

"So, you separate the Fakes from the Pros. Are you a fake, a mere fool, or are you are True Hero?"

I-Island is an artificial moving island inhabited by over ten-thousand scientists conducting research on Quirks. Every company in the world involved with the Pro Hero business invested money to create a technological paradise for the research and development of Quirks and support items, freed from the bias and meme of the larger world.

Since everyone on the Island is obsessed with Quirks and Heroes, it's not surprising that everyone is watching the U.A. Sports Festival. They want to see the best students from the best hero school in the world. Someday, they might be studying the Quirks of these Heroes and creating Support Gear for them.

"Wow. That Nemo Garaki sure has a deep voice." says Melissa Shield – the genius daughter of the famous David Shield – support gear scientist and former sidekick of All Might. The blonde teenage girl is enjoying a frozen desert while watching the event on a HD TV. Before he could take her next bite, her phone went off, prompting the young woman to rise from her seat, leaving the room's other occupant to stare intently at the screen.

"Nemo Garaki," the boy who had been sitting on the couch beside Melissa hummed as he turned a jet-black phone over in his hand. "Ready, Player 2?"

Time for the First Event

"Every year, many drink their tears here! Now, here is the fateful first game!" calls out Midnight – the provocative Rated R Hero, "This year, it's…This! An obstacle course race. All 11 classes will participate in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of this stadium about four kilometers! Our school's selling point is freedom! As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do! Now, take your places everyone!"

I bet Izuku is thinking about impressing his teacher (and surrogate father) All-Might.

I was shocked to learn that Hizashi Midoriya is dead in this world. This isn't a fake death like in those stories where All for One is Izuku's father. The fire breathing businessman died in America, when his Japanese-owned company worked him to death. In project management, a "Death March" is a project which participants believe to be destined for failure, or that requires a stretch of unsustainable overwork. Hizashi died on that Death March and his best friend reacted badly to it. His co-worker went on a violent rampage with his own Quirk and investigation afterward brought down the company. Thankfully, the money that Inko received is enough that she and her children don't need to worry about their livelihoods ever again, provided they spend it wisely.

"START!"

"Okay, here's the play-by-play!" yells Present Mic, "Are you ready to do the commentary, Mummy Man?"

"You're the one who forced me to come." says Aizawa, still covered in bandages from the U.S.J. Incident.

"Let's get started right away, Mummy Man."

"What should we pay attention to in the early stages? This part right now."

Todoroki attempts to get any early led by freezing everything behind him, but he underestimates his own class.

Bakugo blows through the ice with ease, propelling himself like an explosive rocket. Bakugo may be an angry egotistic loudmouth, but he does have the skills, intellect, and drive to back it up most of the time. He'll be a great hero if he can learn to care about people from Izuku.

Izuku who has been getting training from Gran Torino for the last two weeks is able to use Full Cowling. It's amazing how much progress he can make when being taught by a competent experienced teacher. I hope you sneezed Toshinori.

Izumi not only possesses superhuman strength and speed, but she can run on any surface thanks to her wallcrawling. I've seen her run on both walls and ceilings. The twins are like streaks of verdant light.

"They're used to using their Quirks, huh…" says Aizawa, "More people outside of Class A were able to dodge that than I expected…"

As for myself, my two weeks of training resulted in me realizing that my symbiote Kurayami had greater powers than initially realized.

In Marvel History, at some point early into his crusade against the Light brought into the universe by the Celestials, Knull - through experimenting with his ability to create life out of darkness - learned he could manifest massive wyvern-like monsters out of the living abyss he commanded. One of those monsters made it to Earth and attacked the Danes during the sixth century. It was brought down by Thor's divine lightning, the backlash of which severed Knull's connection to his hive-mind.

"Kurayami - Grendel Mode"

The black ooze of the symbiote bursts from my body forming immense ribbed wings with red membranes. I jump into the air, and I am flying passing the others in the blink of an eye.

"Holy! Did one of your students just become a DRAGON!" yells Present Mic, almost damaging his microphone.

"I believe it's a wyvern due to it possessing four limbs, but yes." says Aizawa, "This is a new combination by Nemo and Kurayami."

I'm loving the ability to fly as a motherfucking dragon (well, wyvern), when I encounter the first obstacle – Robo-Inferno. A bunch of building-size Zero-Pointer robots, like the ones that were used during the entrance exam. I'm flying high enough that most of them don't even target me, but one of the largest does. I twist and spin my body before piercing through the giant robot's head, I then untwist and glide close to the ground at high speed. The robot explodes behind me without me looking at it.

"That wyvern is flying fast in first place." says Present Mic, "I've never seen a student fly through steel like its paper."

The second Obstacle is The Fall. Competitors must traverse large stone pillars connected by tightropes without falling into the pit below to move on to the next obstacle. Since I'm a giant flying wyvern, I just glide over the whole thing without slowing down in the slightest.

"He flew over the whole thing. Is that allowed?" asks Present Mic

"They are using their Quirks under the regulations." says Aizawa

I continue to speed up, going faster and faster. I reach the Final Obstacle – The Minefield. The final obstacle is a minefield that the competitors must cross to reach the finish line. These mines are non-lethal designed to push people around instead of blowing off limbs. The U.A. is extreme, not insane. I'm generating so much wind behind me that several mines are pulled out of the ground and detonate into punk explosions. At the finish line, I retract my liquid darkness back into myself and land, sliding across the Finish.

"In First Place and Record Time – Nemo Garaki and Kurayami!"

I do a little victory dance while I wait for my other classmates.

Shigaraki, known to the criminal underworld as All for One, has many wishes and desires. He wishes to rule the world as an unstoppable Demon King and intends to use Tomura as his vessel. He desires All Might to suffer and die in total despair. He often wishes he had a Quirk that could restore his handsome face instead of a mass of scar tissue that makes him look like potato. Right now, he wishes he could remove the Quirk that allows him to see despite having his eyes covered by scar tissue and skin grafts.

Dr. Kyudai Garaki – the overweight bald doctor with mobility issues due to his Quirk – is also doing a Victory dance for his son.

"Doctor!" says All for One, getting his companion to stop "What are your findings on this Kurayami?"

"He appears to possess a semi-liquid mutant-type Quirk that allows him to manipulate his biomass in various ways, protecting and augmenting on host while relying on the host for nutrients and energy. The semi-liquid is like the liquid shadow used by darkness affinity Quirks. According to the report, Kurayami's father was a Villian named Knull who possessed a shadow manipulation Quirk, so the findings align." explains the mad scientist, "The sample is proving hard to analyze due to the complex chemistry and the pseudo-matter."

"Despite all my resources, I haven't been able to find information about Knull. He could have been a murderous isolationist, but there is no trail leading to how he found Nemo. It's like he appeared out of nowhere." says All for One stroking his chin and part of him missing the goatee he had a hundred twenty years ago. "Curious."

"Do you want them brought in?"

"Not yet. I still need my Wild Card on the field."

"As you wish." says Dr. Garaki, turning back to watch his "son".

In the depths of the lab, the amorphous sample from Kurayami moves in its sealed vial, shifting from pitch black to blood red and back again.

Izumi and Izuku tied in Second Place, Izumi a blur due to her Spider speed and Izuku's emerald lightning flashing across the finish line. Todoroki ended up in Third Place and Bakugo had many vulgar things to say about being in Fourth Place.

The next event was the Calvary Battle. Forty-two students qualified for the Cavalry Battle after completing the Obstacle Race. Midnight explained that students must form teams of a maximum of four people: one rider and at least one horse. Each student is given a point value and a team's value depending on where their members finished in preliminaries. The number forty finish is worth five points, with five points added to the point value with each cascading place. Kurayami and I, however, each got one worth an absurd five million points.

Kurayami and I formed a two-man team as technically we are always riding each other. The moment the battle began, I took to the air with me sitting on the back of Wyvern Kurayami. The teams attempt to get closer only to learn Kurayami was Fire Breathing Symbiote Dragon.

Class 1-B is upset that none of their class qualified.

In the original timeline, they only qualified because half of Shinso's team quit because they didn't remember anything under [Brainwashing]. Honestly, Eijiro Kirishima vs. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu was boring and Ibara doesn't stand a chance against the stronger members of Class 1-A.

In the current timeline, Shinso has decided to become an Underground Hero like his idol Eraser Head and will apprentice under the man, so the U.A. is just a waste of time for him. Team Spider on the other hand is a very strong team.

Many in the crowd were surprised when I dropped out, but I already explained you can't have two vs one and I'm not willing to un-bond with my other and put it or someone else's life in danger. I've already proven how strong we are, as we turned into a fire-breathing extraterrestrial wyvern.

The Tournament Arc has begun, and the first match has been decided.

Tenya Iida vs Shoto Todoroki

Tenya is the first to make a move as he knows he must if he's going to have any chance. Shota is one the Big Four in the class along with Midoriya twins and Bakugo. Todoroki could end the battle in an instant, so Tenya must not give him a chance.

"RECIPRO BURST!"

Todoroki is surprised by the speed of Ida's attack and the blow sends him flying towards the edge of the Arena. Todoroki stops himself from going over the edge by tethering himself with his ice, but it was at the last second. The look in Todoroki's eyes is one of respect as Iida has proven he's one of the strongest. Todoroki then covers the entire Arena in ice to counter Ida's mobility.

Ida is able to melt and shatter his icy ankle restraints using the heat from his mufflers. While he doesn't have the same traction and gets close enough to perform another Engine-boosted spin kick, only for it to be stopped by a narrow ice wall. A second burst of ice catches and restraints Ida.

"Winner - Shoto Todoroki"

Todoroki frees Iida from the Ice and melts the Ice covering the Arena. Todoroki praises Ida's moves, and Iida does the same. If this was a Persona game, I would probably see Friendship +1 above their heads.

Mina Ashido vs Mashirao Ojiro

This is an interesting match-up. Ojiro is a trained martial artist who has learned to incorporate his Tail into his fighting style. Mina on the other hand is a very skilled dancer whose possesses incredible reaction time and agility is greater than Ojiro. If this was a fight of pure hand-to-hand Ojiro would eventually win, but not without taking a lot of damage. The Quirks change the nature of his fight, as she can glide on her acid to increase her speed and her acid armor will burn Ojiro if he strikes her.

It also doesn't help that Ojiro's clothing is melting at an alarming rate.

Finally, after being distracted by a serious acid burn on his tail, Mina wins with a surprise move.

"Winner - Mina Ashido!"

"Was that Capoeira?" asks Ojiro getting to his feet and wincing at his tail burns.

"I saw Nemo teaching Tsu some of those moves and you know I love to dance."

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, music and spirituality. Although debated, the most widely accepted origin of the word capoeira comes from the Tupi words ka'a ("forest") paũ ("round"), referring to the areas of low vegetation in the Brazilian interior where fugitive slaves would hide. Though often said to be a martial art disguised as a dance, capoeira served not only as a form of self-defense, but also to maintain spirituality and culture.

In my first life, Toad from the excellent X-Men: Evolution animated show used elements of capoeira, which was expanded in the fanfiction. I used to read a lot, especially Red Witch's Misfit series. Since, the future Froppy is a cute female version of Toad, I got the idea to teach her some moves.

Mei Hatsume vs Eijiro Kirishima

This fight was a lot more one-sided than the previous. While Kirishima may have manly on the brain, he's not as gullible as the rule-obsessed Iida. Crazy support genius Hatsume may have been able to get Iida to showcase her support gear and then quit without a fight, but Kirishima isn't in need of any support and recognizes when he's being conned (I overheard Mina used to con him out of ice cream).

Hatsume demonstrates her deployable Shell Armor. A type of body armor that starts as a small metal sphere and deploys into a metal layer coating the entire body. An Item that can be used to protect heroes, rescue personal, or victims from dangerous environments. It can protect against drowning, dangerous chemicals, temperature extremes, electricity, and the weight of a collapsed multi-story building.

It also renders the user immobile, so Kirishima only had to armor up and tackle her like a football dummy. He sent her flying into a concrete wall hard enough to crater it, but when the Shell was retracted, she was completely unharmed, which she proved by dancing around. She thanked Kirishima for the match and demonstration before leaving, which the confused redhead said, "You're welcome?".

Katsuki Bakugo vs Ochaco Uraraka

This fight played out like the one in Canon.

Bakugo showed no mercy, which for Bakugo is a form of respect. He may have his many flaws, but he believes in gender equality. Both genders deserve to get the same amount of beat down.

Ochaco showed her determination and competitive spirit. She also showed her creative use of her Gravity quirk in a combat situation.

In the end, Ochaco levitates the rubble created from the explosions and drops it on Bakugo like a meteor attack. Without any other choice, Bakugo unleashes a large, powerful explosion that repels all the debris, horrifying his opponent as she gets blown away as well.

"Winner - Katsuki Bakugo!"

Mezo Shoji vs Izuku Midoriya

This is a very quick fight. Unlike in the canon timeline, in which Izuku is breaking fingers to unleash the power of [One for All], thanks to Gran Torino he can use Full Cowling. Shoji may be tough and very strong at close range, but he's no match against a 5% Detroit Smash. The shockwave from Izuku's punch is like a hurricane and Shoji is especially vulnerable with webbing between his limbs. The [Dupli-Arms] user is sent flying off the stage and into the wall.

Izuku then spends the next few minutes apologizing to Shoji whose carried away on a stretcher with a severely bruised back. Shoji is probably more embarrassed about the apology than losing the fight.

"Winner - Izuku Midoriya!"

Fumikage Tokoyami vs Izumi Midoriya

This turns out to be a brutal battle.

Tokoyami's [Dark Shadow] can be very powerful when not exposed to bright light. He's also learned to increase his movement by wrapping Dark Shadow around himself, like how I do with Kurayami.

Izumi on the other hand is a Quirk Nerd like her Brother, fully exploiting her [Spider Girl] Quirk. She has him beat in every physical aspect and the only mental save is she is fighting two people. She is not fighting at her best without her web shooters (which aren't considered vital to power use support gear).

"MAXIMUM SPIDER"

Izumi performs an Ultimate move that resembles Spidey's move from Marvel vs. Capcom, which surprises me since I didn't tell her anything. She moves at incredible speed, knocking Tokoyami into the air, and continues to attack hitting him again and again before he can fall to the ground. She then delivers a powerful front-facing axe kick on to her opponent. A fighting move that I recognize as Mirko's Luna Arc!

Tokoyami is knocked out of the ring and knocked out.

"Winner - Izumi Midoriya!"

Tsuyu Asui vs Denki Kaminari

This fight is all about timing. Without any support gear, Denki only has one (ultimate) move - "Indiscriminate Shock 1.3 million Volts". Denki charges his body with over a million volts of electricity before releasing it indiscriminately around him. The weakness is it short-circuits his brain when he uses it, turning him into an idiot. So, he only has one shot.

Tsu on the other hand doesn't have long range attacks beyond throwing mucus. Most of her attacks are close range physical kicks or strikes from her tongue which can stretch twenty meters. A tongue that is highly conductive, so she can't just slap the blonde.

Tsu then makes an amazing move. She jumps towards Kaminari like she's about to perform a surprise attack but has her tongue behind her. When Kaminari triggers his ultimate move on reflex, Tsu uses her legs and tongue to bungee herself back to a safe distance. Now that Kaminari is now an "Idiot", she jumps forward with a real attack driving fists into Kaminari's stomach.

"Frog Kumite!"

Kaminari ends up in such a goofy looking position, if this was an American cartoon, I would probably see little tweeting birds around his head. Kaminari must start using his head as something other than a battery.

"Winner - Tsuyu Asui!"

Momo Yaoyorozu vs Hanta Sero

This battle is a little anti-climactic. Momo creates a plastic bottle from her body and immediately soaks herself with the clear liquid contents. When Sero tries to capture her with his [Tape] Quirk, the tape he releases from his elbows fails to stick to her skin or clothing. Even when he manages to wrap it around her, the tape stretches and breaks. The liquid chemical caused it to fall apart.

"It's a solvent I made for Izumi's webbing. Compared to her webbing, your tape is far more... fragile." says Momo, not wanting to calling it weak. She then pulls out a water gun minus the tank and loads the bottle of solvent. Giving the water gun a couple of pumps, she points it Sero, like she's holding a shotgun.

Momo is so rich; she has never heard of a "Dollar Store". A few classmates showed her one during a trip to the shopping mall. I pointed out many items have simply designed and molecular structures but can be used in various creative ways. The water guns remind me of the tv series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) and the cult film The Lost Boys (1987), in both cases used to shoot holy water against vampires.

"Winner - Momo Yaoyorozu!"

Her delight at winning is then spoiled by whistling. She looks down and turns red in embarrassment. She realizes the liquid solvent has made her clothing translucent and is now sticking to her, revealing her bra and panties to the millions that watch Sports Festival. Let that be a lesson, Momo, be careful what chemicals you use, or you'll end up giving a wet t-shirt contest to your audience.

It's time for the Quarter-Final and by the looks of things, Shoto has a confrontation with his father Endeavor. Shoto hasn't come to realize his fire is his own Quirk [Half-Cold Half-Hot] and not his father's [Hellfire]. He thinks he's rebelling against his father, but in truth he's trapped by his own hatred, just as his father is chained down by his obsession.

Shoto Todoroki vs Mina Ashido

Mina is almost instantly frozen in an immense glacier, one that towers over the audience almost reaching them. Mina is unable to move, but her acid protects her better than Sero's tape in canon. As a result, she doesn't have mild hypothermia when Shoto thaws her out and apologizes. Momo – in a new uniform – gives Mina a blanket.

"Winner - Shoto Todoroki!"

Eijiro Kirishima vs Katsuki Bakugo

This is another Canon Fight.

During the battle, Bakugo and Kirishima trade blows using their Quirks. Kirishima's hardened skin dampens Bakugo's explosions. Kirishima rushes Bakugo and tries to strike him with a flurry of punches. This puts Bakugo on the defensive and forces him to constantly dodge while losing ground. Bakugo fights back with his explosions until he finally manages to damage Kirishima. It finally ends with Bakugo unleashing a barrage of explosions that force Kirishima to overuse his Quirk and one final Big Explosion causing Kirishima to fall.

"Winner - Katsuki Bakugo!"

Izuku Midoriya vs Izumi Midoriya

Most people would think this particular fight would be calm because they are twin brother and sister and both cinnamon rolls.

NOPE!

There is a visible shockwave when their fists collide. Then they begin throwing and dodging punches at a speed that makes you think this was OG Dragon Ball. At times they become green blurs that you can only tell apart because one generates emerald lightning due to Full-Cowling. It's so impressive, the jaws of many teachers and students are dropping.

A few times, Izuku fires off a Smash or kick from his new Shoot style, but Izumi's ability to adhere to any surface prevents her from being blown away. As a result, she does take more damage from the air blasts, but she isn't launched off the platform.

Izumi's body is physically superior to Izuku, as while her brother is merely strong to safely emit the power of [One for All], she is a Mutant-type with a body of immense strength. As a result, Izuku gets hurt every time he collides with his durable sister.

The fight reaches its climax when the Arena shatters and in a split second, both twins bounce off the falling debris. Izumi performs her "Maximum Spider", which leaves Izuku badly hurt, but Izuku releases a surprise unannounced "Shoot Style: St. Louis Smash!". Izumi is sent flying through the falling debris and out of bounds.

"Winner - Izuku Midoriya!"

I'm quickly next to Izumi, who takes my hand.

"Ouch. I'm glad Mom told us not to fight when we were younger."

"No kidding." says Izuku, wobbling off the platform, "Recovery Girl is going to be upset."

"When isn't she upset?" replies Izumi.

"When don't we have any combat classes?" I reply, making the Midoriya twins smile despite their pain.

Tsuyu Asui vs Momo Yaoyorozu

Momo with her [Creation] Quirk can literally create anything, but it takes time to create anything. Against a faster, more agile opponent, she is forced to be defensive and rely on her combat skills. Tsu proves to be far faster than Momo with her [Frog] Quirk.

Momo barely sees Tsu jump past her, barely dodging, but she does feel something around her waist. She looks down to see Tsu's tongue, before she is pulled off her feet and thrown out of the ring. She collides with the wall and lands painfully on the ground.

"Winner - Tsuyu Asui!"

"You O.K., Momo?" calls out Tsu.

"Just a little bruised... and embarrassed."

The Semi-Final has come and Izuku must have snuck off and talked to Shoto or Bakugo managed to talk some sense into Shoto. Shoto is using the flame half of his [Half-Cold Half-Hot] Quirk.

Shoto Todoroki vs Katsuki Bakugo

With full use of their Quirks, and no Endeavor with his Big Mouth, things are getting explosive.

Shoto, able to use his flames to regulate his body temperature, can generate immense amounts of ice, which shoot at Bakugo like a glacial avalanche. He can also suddenly heat the ice with his flames to cause steam explosions capable of shattering Cementoss's best cement into tiny fragments.

Bakugo is hydrated and hot, moving and detonating his explosive sweat in spectacular explosions that shatter both ice and cement. Bakugo has a natural talent for combat that can't be denied. Something that shines even with his volatile ego-driven personality and makes some admire him.

The brutal end of the match happens when one of them makes a mistake. In this fight, Shoto makes a mistake that allows Bakugo to get close. Shoto's fighting style is primarily long range, taking out his opponents with ice (or fire) from a distance. Bakugo on the other hand, has a fighting style that's good at long range and melee. Bakugo detonates a massive explosion that sends both flying, landing Bakugo at the center of the destroyed ring and Todoroki landing outside.

"Winner - Katsuki Bakugo!"

Izuku Midoriya vs Tsuyu Asui

This was an interesting fight.

Izuku clearly has superior power and speed, but he's a very direct fighter. When he shoots a kick or does a smashing punch, you know the precise target of his power. He must be careful with [One for All] as misuse could cause severe damage to people and objects.

Tsu has the advantage is agility as she can dodge and her movements are harder to predict, especially with the expansion of her martial skills. She is also able to use her jumps and tongue to move around the battlefield.

Finally, Tsu jumps into the air to avoid one attack, only for Izuku to follow. She dodges one of his attacks, by using her tongue to pull herself towards the ground. Then Izuku does a kick that propels him towards the ground. He lands in front of Tsu and delivers a kick that knocks her out of the ring. She tries to save herself using her tongue to pull herself back into the ring before her feet can touch the ground, but Izuku kicks the ground, dislodging her tongue.

"Winner - Izuku Midoriya!"

"Ouch." says Tsu pulling herself up.

"That was amazing Tsu. You were..." says Izuku going into a praising ramble, which leaves Tsu nodding and looking vacant.

It's the Final Match and I'm nervous. I'm pretty sure everyone in Class 1-A, every teacher that has taught 1-A, and every viewer that knows the relationship between Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo is tenuous. It took energy drinks, protein shakes, and Recovery Girl, but the two are ready to go one-on-one at Full Power.

Izuku Midoriya vs Katsuki Bakugo

You can feel the tension in the air as they stare at each other before they collide.

Izuku is here to prove he's worthy. Worthy of being All Might's successor and being the inheritor of [One for All]. Worthy of being Bakugo's friend/rival/frenemy. Using Full Cowling he becomes a blur of motion leaving behind trails of emerald lightning like a discount Flash. He can release destructive shockwaves with every punch and kick. Every time he's nearly thrown out of the arena, he uses a short emission of power to thrust him back into the fight.

Bakugo is here to prove he's strong. Strong as his hero All Might, a man who doesn't lose. He used to think Deku was looking down on him when he offered to help, but he's beginning to realize Deku just helps people. He's beginning to understand his friend and it makes him question himself. He releases stronger and stronger explosions, both at Deku and using them to propel himself at his opponent. Every time he's nearly thrown out of the arena, he uses a short burst of explosive power to thrust him back into the fight.

The wind is starting to blow. The pressure of Izuku and Bakugo's fight is growing and growing, and even the audience in the cheap seats are wide eyed at the two future heroes. I then have to take cover, using Kurayami to shield Izumi, as one explosion from their combined power shatters the arena. Cementoss tries to block with the walls of cement, but they are broken by the blast.

"Not bad, Deku. You've actually gotten pretty strong." says a wobbly Bakugo. His clothing is burnt and torn to reveal blood and bruises.

"Thanks, Kaachan. You've gotten really strong, too." says a wobbly Izuku. His clothing is even more burnt and torn, showing even worse injuries.

"I would ask extras if they want to give up." says Bakugo with a smirk, "But you're not an extra."

"Heroes never give up. They have to beat the villains and save people."

The two without [One for All] or [Explosion] collide, both delivering a punch. Soon, they are both falling, but Izuku manages to stand. One difference between Bakugo and Izuku is Izuku has a much greater pain tolerance. Bakugo has never consistently broken all the bones in his limbs before.

"Winner - Izuku Midoriya!"

Izuku has won the tournament and now he joins Kaachan on the rubble that was the Arena.

U.A. Classes

2 Days Later

The Sports Festival wasn't just showing off, as Aizawa just displayed nomination from Pro Heros. Aizawa says that regardless of whether or not they received nominations, he will be having them go get work-place experience. Of course, before they select their heroes for Hero Agency Internship, they need to select their Hero names. Midnight has walked in to help the students of Class 1-A select names that endear or inspire the public.

"Seriously Bakugo, nobody is going to approve a name with 'Murder' in it. Remember, it's not just the Villains that are going to hear your name." I say to the angry blonde, who wanted "King Explosion Murder" or "Lord Explosive Murder" to be his Hero Name, "To the public – Murder is too Scary."

"Then what would you suggest, Ink-Stain!?"

"The Explosive Power Hero: DynaMight!"

I get sounds of approval from the Class and even Bakugo whispers "Damn. Not Bad.". Midnight approves.

The names are quickly picked with some names staying the name to Canon - Rainy Season Hero: Froppy, Gravity Hero: Uravity, Martial Arts Hero: Tailman, Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt, Sturdy Hero: Red Riot, Sweets Hero: Sugarman, Tentacle Hero: Tentacole, Hearing Hero: Earphone Jack, Taping Hero: Cellophane, Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi, Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl, and Everything Hero: Creati.

Todoroki just decided to use his first name Shoto, Iida is also going by his first name as he's not ready to take on the mantle of Turbo Hero: Ingenium from his crippled brother. Mina has taken the name Acid Queen, after I pointed out the best Xenomorph in the Aliens franchise is the Queen. Izuku still picked Deku as his Hero Name expanding it to The Can-Do Hero: Deku after Dekiru "you can do it".

As for the three that replaced Grape Juice, Anivoice, and Can't Stop Twinkling, we were the last to decide.

Hitoshi Shinso picked one of the names I suggested, which I heard online in my first life.

"Mind-Games Hero: Mockingbird"

Izumi Midoriya picked one of the names we brainstormed about on the beach.

"The Web-Slinging Hero: Spider-Woman."

As for Kurayami and myself, together we formed one unbeatable team.

"The Black Dragon Hero: Abyss."

"Very edge lord." says Bakugo.

"You're one to talk, Murder Mania."

Tenya attempted to get Hero Agency Internship in Hosu, but Aizawa realized the truth.

Tensei Iida – (former) Turbo Hero: Ingenium – searched the streets of Hosu City for the Hero Killer "Stain". While ordering his sidekicks to patrol certain areas, Tensei encountered the vigilante-turned-villain and was defeated. He was left for dead in a pool of his own blood but was found by the police and taken to the hospital. Tensei is alive, but he's now paralyzed from the waist down.

"Do you think Tensei would want this? He wants the little brother that looked up to him and wanted to be a Hero. He wants the little brother he loves to take his Hero name and carry it with pride. He doesn't want little brother to become a vigilante. He doesn't want his little brother to shame the name of Ingenium to fight a villain that specializes in Hero Assassination. He doesn't want you to share a hospital room or leave that room to bury you."

Iida looks regretful at those words. He looks very broken and frustrated.

"I know you want to do something. What you can do is be the Hero your brother believes in. The Hero Killer will fall with your brother's knowledge, don't let that man's actions stain your soul."

The Hero Agency Internships have begun, and each student is now being given a taste of the Pro-Hero life. Not to say it's all enjoyable.

Izuku is working hard under Gran Torino as Deku, while Shoto works under his father Flame Hero: Endeavor. Both know their teachers is harsh taskmasters, but also know they have a lot to learn from them.

Bakugo, now known as DynaMight, is working under Fiber Hero: Best Jeanist. The denim-obsessed Pro-Hero is trying to tame the wild young hero with the explosive temper and trying to tame that hair of his.

Uravity is interning with Battle Hero: Gunhead to learn better combat ability. Since Gunhead specializes in armed combat, Uravity upgraded her suit with air jets and tether lines so she can move at high speed. They don't look like they would work well together, but Ochaco is full of determination just like her "boyfriend" Izuku.

Rainy-Season Hero: Froppyis training under the Sea Rescue Hero: Selkie and the crew of the Oki Mariner. Tsuyu was born for the aquatic fights, and I have absolutely no doubt she will accel at her tasks.

Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi is learning to fly with the help of Wing Hero: Hawks and inspiration from my own ability to use Kurayami to fly.

I was not surprised that Hitoshi as Mind-Games Hero: Mockingbird is Interning with an Underground Hero. I figured he would be working with Eraser Head or one of his "friends" in the Underground community since Brain Washing isn't the type of Quirk for mainline Heroics.

I was surprised Izumi got an offer from Future Number 5. Izumi as Web-slinging Hero: Spider-woman will be Interning with bunny-eared battle maniac Rumi Usagiyama also known as Rabbit Hero: Mirko. I hope my girlfriend's time with the Rabbit Quirked heroine will improve her skills and confidence, and she doesn't end up traumatized.

As for myself, I got an offer from the No. 9 Hero - Ryuko Tatsuma better known as Dragoon Hero: Ryukyu. Ryuko is a humble and gentle person, giving praise where it is deserved and not expecting gratitude in return. She is very serene and level-headed for a person that has a Quirk gives her the ability to transform into a large western dragon. So, either she is not as influenced by her Quirk as others or violence of western dragons are a stereotype in this world.

I've even had my "Agent: Venom" costume altered so Black Dragon Hero: Abyss will have more dragon-themed knight elements. It kind of reminds me of Deathstroke – Slade Wilson – from DC Comics and an animated film in which he compared himself with a knight.

Internships, Day 1

The First day of the Hero Agency Internship is boring. It's mostly Ryukyu and members of her agency teaching me about social skills and bureaucracy needed to be a modern Pro-Hero.

Pro-Heroes can only exist if the public trusts the Heroes. The Hero's finances are dependent on merchandise sold to the public, so It's a struggle to be unique and memorable. There are literally thousands of heroes, and everyone strives to say, "I am Here!". A Hero exists to save people from accidents, natural disasters, and criminals who would use their Quirks against the innocent – the Villains. Public relations are all about reminding the public that we are there for them and they can trust us to save them.

The biggest problem in our hero-bloated society is many Heroes forget the true purpose of Heroes. They see Fortune, Fame, and Glory of the Heroes, but fail to see the people they need to protect. This is what led to the birth of the Hero Killer and many other villains and vigilantes. Nobody was there to offer them a helping hand and nobody was there to say, "it will be alright".

"Hello, my name is Nemo Garaki and my partner is Kurayami, but together our Hero name is Abyss. You no longer need to fear the darkness, for we are going to save you!"

The Hero Bureaucracy is bad with its excessive amount of paperwork.

You must register with Hero Agency for the Internship. There are strict regulations for the Internship and rules for using Quirks during the Internship. If you save someone's life using your Quirk, you must sign incident reports. If you capture a Villian that's more paperwork and if a civilian uses their Quirk under duress, it's more paperwork. Even support gear must be approved and registered. This way if anything goes wrong, the authorities will know who to blame and who to fine.

Some agencies are even worse with certain Quirks only being used in extreme cases or only allowing support gear from certain companies. I wouldn't be surprised if half of these regulations were attempts by the Hero Public Safety Commission and other government agencies to eliminate troublemakers without having the evidence needed to blacklist them.

I don't get physically tired anymore, but I'm mentally exhausted by the time I'm done dealing with public relations and paperwork lesson.

Ryukyu Agency Territory

Internships, Day 2

In the morning, we did some combat training to determine our abilities and how we could work together as Heroes. It turns out my hand-to-hand combat skills are far greater than any of those possessed by Agency and according to Ryukyu – superior to most of the Pro-Heroes. Martial arts are usually the focus of underground heroes and those with less combat-oriented Quirks, while those with superhuman strength tend to focus mostly on controlling their strength. Despite having monstrous strength, I'm very skilled thanks to Dr. Garaki's training program.

Today, I also learned that in our dragon forms (well her dragon form and my drake form), I'm significantly stronger. High End Nomu exceed the U.S.J. Nomu in strength and my Klyntar partner amplifies my strength, meaning I could tear through the Top Ten if I had to.

After proving I could safely take down criminals without tearing them apart like wet tissue paper, we were given out our first mission. It wasn't a mission to stop criminal activity but doing some charity work.

Ryukyu in her western dragon form and Kurayami and me in our own Dragon forms put on an aerial show for a charity event. The event is to raise funds for children suffering from meta-incompatibility syndrome - MIS – a medical condition in which those with Quirks lack or possess a deficiency in the secondary powers needed to safely use their quirks. One example is a Fire Quirk user who lacks heat/fire resistance and ends up burning themselves.

"Secondary powers are vital for anyone with meta-abilities to function in today's society. Without those secondary powers, there Quirks become unusable, or they become a danger to themselves or others." says young female Hindi doctor with ram horns. I didn't catch her name, but I think her nickname is Dr. C and I heard she has a Quirk that allows her to manipulate the bones of others. She can repair bones even if they are reduced to tiny fragments. Izuku would love her Quirk.

I'm watching the crowd, when I notice someone in a nearby building. With my enhanced senses I can tell they are dressed strangely and are holding a weapon. I move without thinking and get in front of the Doctor generating a black shield out of Kurayami's biomass. The bullets from the unknown rifle hit the shield with surprising force, but the extraterrestrial material managed to stop the rounds.

"Shooter. Kobayashi Building. Third Floor. Middle Room facing the Event." I yelled at my communicator, as I picked up the surprised doctor and moved her to safety.

The other Heroes quickly move to protect and calm the crowd, while the more offensive Heroes go after the assassin.

We saved a woman from an assassination on our SECOND Day! What the hell is our luck!?

Also, the Paperwork was a nightmare. Idiot pencil pushers debating if authorized use of Quirks for entertainment of the charity patrons, also permits the use of a Quirk in defense of a VIP against an assassin armed with advanced military hardware. Thankfully, Ryukyu has experience dealing with this bureaucratic bullshit.

I did get some information later about the incident. The assassin was a former soldier whose wife and daughter died in the Kurosaki Hospital fire. The fire was accidentally caused by a MIS patient who was in the hospital receiving treatment. He blamed Doctor Chandni Chakravaka (Doc's name is a mouthful) because she was the one behind the treatment. That story didn't explain how he got access to an experimental military rifle, but that mystery is being handled by the government.

Later that night, I got some embarrassing compliments from my classmates and from my "Father" on my phone. He'll go on and on about how I'm his greatest creation and how someday I will be the Young Master's bodyguard. I would rather punch that man-child Tomura in the nuts than defend him.

San Hill is the Chairman of The International Generation Banking Cooperation. A financial business genius who has made billions in the post-Quirk era. Originally from the cold northern city of Scipio, the IGBC handles most of the financial investments of the Hero companies. The HPSC, along with most of the Hero Agencies, the Support Companies, the companies that make Hero Merchandise, and the advertisement agencies all have accounts.

Today, San Hill himself was visiting one of his banks to open a 200-year-old time capsule left by the founder of the company and it's believed to hold lost relics thought destroyed in the Quirk Wars. San Hill planned to auction the items off and donate money to charities as a publicity stunt.

Next to him is a black-haired dark-eyed Chinese American businessman dressed in black suit and tie with a white shirt. When I hear his name is Martin Li, I activate my Analyse.

Mr. Negative/Mister Li

Profile:

"Martin Li" was original part of a Chinese criminal gang involved in human trafficking. Martin Li was the name of an illegal immigrant who died when his smuggling ship crashed in America. He took the name and went to find his gang, only to be captured by an Italian crime family and used to test an experimental drug. The human experimentation resulted in him developing a split personality with one dedicated to being a generous businessman and Hero and the other dedicated to being a crime boss and Villain.

Quirk:

[Yin/Yang Touch] - "Martin Li" originally possessed an emitter quirk that generated light and darkness. The light was able to do minor healing, while the dark was able to numb/paralyze. The experimental Quirk booster pushed and divided his abilities.

As Mister Li, he can heal people with a touch at the cost of fatiguing himself and he can destroy pathogens like bacteria and parasites. His touch causes inorganic matter to decay, forcing him to wear only natural fiber clothing.

As Mr. Negative, he can paralyze and weaken people with a touch, draining the stamina of others into himself. His touch can also enhance the durability of inorganic material such as knives and other blades. This ability also inverts the colors of his body and clothing.

I'm tense through the entire speech, worried that Mister Li is going to suddenly invert colors like a photo negative and go on a killing spree.

I can't even smile that one of the relics found in the time capsule is a collection of twentieth and twenty-first century media, including a massive anime collection. It's not even just the important stuff like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Attack on Titan, and Berserk, half of the collection are guilty pleasures like Highschool D x D, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, Monster Musume, Kill la Kill, Highschool of the Dead, and Guilty Crown.

Now everyone will know why their rebuilt cities and schools have such weird names.

There is something else I'm worried about. Right now, everyone is converging in Hosu. It's the climatic fight against Hero Killer: Stain along with an attack by three Nomu sent by Tomura to cause chaos. Ryukyu didn't say anything about being sent to Hosu, so it looks like I'm not going to be involved. I can only hope it goes like canon with my classmates surviving and Stain's defeat.

How the fuck did I end up here?

Oh yeah. I saw someone on the roof and called Ryukyu for emergency use of our Quirk. I used our Quirk to reach the top of the building before the Jumper could gather enough self-loathing to make the dive.

In front of me is a grade school age girl with teary amber color eyes and messy shoulder-length black hair. The young girl is dressed in a school uniform with a pink ribbon in her hair. She is close to the edge of the roof and looks ready to take the final step.

Sena Moon

Profile:

Sena is a young Korean-descent Quirkless Girl from Aldera Junior High. She was constantly feared being bullied by the Quirk-ist teachers and students, much like her sempai Izuku and Izumi Midoriya. She couldn't even go to them for help since she was terrified of Bakugo and his explosions. Now that the doors are closing on her and her single mother, she's been pushed to the breaking point.

"You're... You're Nemo. The Black Dragon guy from the first half of Sports Festival!" says the Girl, "Why are you here?"

"I'm a Hero, well Hero-in -Training. Heroes save people and you need to be Saved."

"Saved. Why would anyone want to save a useless Quirkless!?"

"It's because you need to be saved. It's because nobody deserves what happened to you."

"How... How do you know... about me?"

"I know people who have suffered like you have."

"Who!?" yells the crying girl.

"Izuku and Izumi." I say softly, causing her expression to improve. The Midoriya Twins must be her Heroes as they started off Quirkless and bullied like her and now, they are famous U.A. Students, Heroes of the Sports Festival even.

"I'm on my way to visit Izuku in the hospital."

"Hospital?"

"Izuku and two of our friends got hurt during yesterday's mess in Hosu. Don't worry, he'll be fine. You should see what happened to bad guys." I say as I pull out my phone and show a picture from Hosu, it's a photo of Chizome Akaguro's beaten and unconscious, but still standing form. The caption claims it was Endeavor that defeated Stain, but I know the truth. A truth which is dawning in the girl's eyes.

Kurayami forms a blanket that wraps around the surprised girl and holds her in a warm, comforting embrace. Sena breaks down crying on my chest and I'm still wondering how I'm doing any of this. In my past life, I didn't have this much compassion or emotional range. Did becoming a bio-engineered weapon somehow make me a "nice guy"?

Note to self: call Principal Nezu and have the Rat God sink his fangs into Aldera. If I must help another former student of that hive of scum and prejudice, it won't need a Death Star to be destroyed. I can almost feel the dragon fire in the back of my throat.

Two hundred years ago, Sophia Mayer was the first heir to her family to be born with a Quirk. She inherited her grandfather's business and using the mental enhancement of her Quirk, she created a business empire. In the current era, Re-L Fashion is found around the world and continues to endure despite the chaos of two centuries of change. While many Heroes wear and model Real Fashions include Ryukyu, villains seem to be terrified of the business and their matriarchs.

The current heiress – Re-l - is a beautiful twenty-six-year-old woman with dark blue eyes surrounding dark blue markings resembling eyeshadow, pale flawless skin, and shoulder-length straight ink-black hair. She's dressed in black clothing with painted black nails, making her look Gothic. As she and Ryukyu talk business, my analyzer informs me she is a U.A. High Business Graduate with a very interesting Quirk.

Its name is [Intuitive Knowledge] - a Quirk that grants the user knowledge of any subject without needing to be taught. The type of knowledge depends on the effort and stress associated with any task. It literally means if she is stressed about anything she does, she gains more and more knowledge until she is no longer stressed by it.

Suddenly, I noticed something strange. The same way I can see Toru, I can see something else using camouflage to approach Ryukyu and Miss Mayer. I'm quick to jump forward and grab the hidden thing by the throat much to the surprise of the two women.

In my superhuman grip, a white-skinned humanoid appears. What's most shocking about its appearance is an exposed pulsating brain with four eyes. This bioengineered foot soldier has a much leaner build than the one that attacked USJ with long limbs and a more humanoid face.

Dmitri Smerdyakov was originally born an illegitimate son of the Kravinoff. Unlike his half-brother, he was the son of the maid and didn't inherit the famous Hunting Quirk of his family. Instead, he was born with a Quirk that helped him excel at espionage. He worked many years as an agent of the Russian government and then as a mercenary, but he made the mistake of trying to steal data from All for One and Dr. Garaki.

Quirks:

[Camouflage] - Dmitri's original Quirk. He can later the texture and pigmentation of his body cells, including being able to mimic his surrounding like active camouflage. The original weakness was his skin often changed colors based on his emotions, but Dmitri had special surgery to remove that trait, in the process deadening his emotions.

[Super Regeneration] - (Copy) The ability to regenerate any sort of injuries on the user's body, such as missing limbs, at incredible speeds. Standard for all High-Tier and High-End Nomus.

[The Hunter] - (Copy) The Quirk of Sergei Kravinoff, a mercenary/Villain known as The Hunter. It's a Mutant Quirk that augments the physical abilities and senses of the user when they consume blood. It causes heightened predatory instincts and large amounts of protein are required to keep the body going.

[Gecko] - A transformative Quirk that allows the user to cling to any solid surface by generating special pads on his hands and feet. This allows the user to scale walls like a lizard.

[Stun gun] - An emitter Quirk that lets the user generate high amounts of electricity. The Quirk can be used to paralyze targets or to deliver lethal shocks.

Chameleon's [Stun Gun] Quirk activates, and I'm hit with enough electricity to kill an elephant. I possess resistance to electricity, but my symbiote hadn't fully integrated that trait, so it remains a major weakness. I'm forced to let go of the Chameleon and jump clear.

I hear a deep feline growl and turn to see a Second Nomu! The second Nomu is larger than the one from USJ with far larger muscles and feline features such as panther-shaped head with large fangs, tail, and retractable claws. He also has a collar of black-and-white fur resembling a White Tiger.

"Prey."

It can talk?! It means it's a High-End Nomu.

Hunter Nomu

Sergei Kravinoff came from a noble Kravinoff family of Russia, a family famous and dedicated to Hunting. When Quirks appeared, the family even went as far as Quirk marriages to ensure their descendants would be strong hunters. When they couldn't hunt exotic animals, they hunted man as soldiers, assassins. Mercenaries, and Villains for hire. Sergei was the greatest hunter in the world and had his power augmented by All for One. His failure on a mission was severly punished.

Quirks:

[The Hunter] - Sergei's original Quirk. It's a Mutant Quirk that augments the physical abilities and senses of the user when they consume blood. It causes heightened predatory instincts and large amounts of protein are required to keep the body going.

The Quirk also causes feline mannerisms, heightened predatory instincts, and heightened aggression.

[Protective Pelt] - A Quirk that enables the user to manipulate fur on their bodies, lengthening and hardening the hairs into piercing sharp needles. These hair needles can be fired with enough force to pierce steel. The original weakness was the time it took to grow hair.

[Thunder Roar] - An Emitter Quirk that allows the user to generate a sound-based attack capable of causing internal injuries to living targets and destruction to buildings and property. Overuse can cause damage to the respiratory system.

The Battle begins.

Ryukyu pulls Miss Mayer away from danger, while I fight against the two Nomu. While powerful, thanks to my symbiote I'm still stronger than both Nomu. I snap the spine of the Chameleon Nomu with a lariat to slow it down, tossing the body to the ground, while I fight its older brother. The Hunter Nomu is not only strong, but it releases a thunderous roar that causes me immense pain. Not only are my augmented senses being overloaded by the noise, but Kurayami is in serious pain from the sonic attack.

Ryukyu in her full dragon form smashes the Hunter Nomu into the ground, making a crater, but before she continues her attack the Chameleon Nomu begins to shock her. While she is paralyzed by the electricity, the Hunter Nomu can charge up the fur around its neck and transform it into meter long metal-hard needles. Needles that shoot out from the Nomu and pierce Ryukyu in a tens of thousand times and it looks ready to do it a dozen times more.

I don't let them as I release my plasma-based of the symbiote dragon. Ryuko's durability is no joke capable of withstanding blow comparable to All Might's blows. What most people don't know is these scales are also heat-resistant to an absurd degree, so if I don't aim for her less-scaled upper body, she'll be unharmed. The Nomu are not so lucky as they receive extensive burns, especially the Hunter Nomu as its fur collar is revealed to be extremely flammable.

These burns are quickly repaired by super regeneration, but some of their Quirks are glitched, rendering them unable to use Camouflage or Chameleon's shock ability. It's like how the T-1000 in Terminator 2: Judgement Day after being frozen by Liquid Nitrogen and shattered started to become unstable, mimicking the floor and railing without meaning to.

I'm quick to tackle Chameleon, grabbing the Nomu by its head (and brain – gross), before I unleash my fire. Kurayami is rare even among Symbiote Dragons as only a rare few can emit forms of energy such as Big Mother and Grendel's Mother. I push my flames to their maximum temperature and carbonize the brain of Chameleon before tossing the corpse to the ground.

The Hunter Nomu roars, hitting me with the painful sound attack and sending me flying through a car. That roar wasn't the same as before, it contained some emotion.

"Upset at the loss of your little brother?" I say as the Hunter Nomu leaps on me and I'm forced to grab its hands so it can't claw into me. Normally, I would easily overpower my opponent, but those roars seriously hurt and Kuroyami is in even more pain.

"Abyss!" yells a concerned Ryukyu, which distracts the Hunter Nomu for a brief second. I have Kurayami form serrated black spikes that pierce the Hunter Nomu's chest. The Hunter Nomu struggles and acts like a panicking animal.

"You can't roar if you can't breathe. You can't heal if there is something in the way. You can't escape at this range." I say to Hunter Nomu before I unleash the dragon fire which comes out a brilliant blue flame and spirals into the air. When I extinguish my flames, the Hunter Nomu no longer has a head, just ash and embers on top of its shoulders.

"Are you alright, Abyss?"

"I'm almost healed already, but Kurayami is a little shaken up. It... He has a problem with loud sound." I say as I pull myself out of the car's remains. Bits of broken glass fall to the ground, and I peel off the air freshener that embedded into my ass. "He needs a treat."

"What does Kurayami like?"

"Chocolate and a lot of it."

"I know a great place for chocolate." says Miss Mayer, coming to us now that the Villains are now truly "Brainless".

The Hero Café franchise was started by a young businessman towards the end of the corporate Hero era and the rise of the modern "commercial" Pro Hero era. They were eating establishments that promoted the images and merchandise of the various Heroes, but also places Heroes could go to enjoy themselves. Simply having a valid Hero license gets you special treatment and they have specials named after the current top 10 on the billboard.

Kugo Sakamata, also known as Killer Whale Hero: Gang Orca is currently laughing. The reason being Ryuko and her interns, Kurayami and me. Gang Orca is a calm and focused hero who treats every situation seriously. He is friendly and a good comrade towards his fellow Pro Heroes, but right now he's laughing his fins off.

"Seriously, you made that snooty chef cry like a baby?"

Yesterday, we fought against two Nomu created from this world's version of Kraven the Hunter and Chameleon. One possessed a sonic roar, while the other possessed a powerful electrical discharge, both which caused my symbiote (and me) serious pain. To comfort us, we decided to get some chocolate at the fancy place that Miss Mayer knew about.

"Kurayami ate an absurd amount of chocolate, commented on each chocolate like food critic. The arrogant chef that looked down on Kurayami for being a mutant was brought to tears when the head chef agreed with Kurayami's assessment.

"That fool thought he was making chocolate lover's supreme dessert. I would barely rate it a six-point-five on my scale." says the chocolate-addicted extraterrestrial symbiote disguised as a Mutant superhero (costume), "It was the Junior chef's creation that truly deserved praise."

I nearly salivate at the memory of the chocolate delight that mutant boy made. I've eaten a lot of chocolate in my life – Aero, Dairy Milk, Jersey Milk, Maltesers, Lindt, etc... - but I have never had chocolate dessert that was good. The boy was looked down on by the snooty chef because the boy had gold eyes, hard brown skin, and two long antennas like an insect. The Head Chef, after tasting the boy's creation, cried and offered to adopt the boy (who turns out to be an orphan). You could sell this story to those corporate overlords at Disney.

"I have to say that dessert was beyond amazing." says Ryuko. I saw her expression when she tasted that desert, and it bordered on Food-Gasm from Food Wars. I imagined her clothing exploding off and an erupting chocolate volcano. I made sure to get a second one to go and used my Myriad Survival Gift to send it Izumi.

"You deserved that treat, Abyss." says Gang Orca, "You managed to defeat two Nomu despite their abilities."

"Thank you, Gang Orca." says Kurayami and I at the same time.

"Are you having any problems since then?"

"Only the paperwork." I say with a little snark, "Kurayami doesn't do any of the paperwork."

"You try to type or write using semi-liquid pseudopods." says Kurayami, "I won't be writing any memorable autographs in the future."

A video of Hero Killer: Stain goes viral.

Most of the Heroes don't realize how important this event is. Stain's corrupted ideology will spread despite the attempts of the Hero Association to shut it down. The association with League of Villains will cause it to become a recruitment video. A week from now, Himiko Toga and Dabi (Toya Todoroki) will join the League of Villains, becoming the dark counterparts to Ochaco Uraraka and Shota Todoroki. They will become core members of the true League of Villains, the elites that will help sculpt the future Metahuman War.

I got an encrypted message from "papa" – Dr. K. Garaki. To any normal person, it would appear to be an excessively long letter, talking about how proud he's of me, how life is going on back at Jaku, and to make sure to study for the future exams. My omnilingualism allows me to read the real hidden message. The real message is a little different – he's proud that I have turned out to be the Ultimate Nomu, how the Hunter and Chameleon Nomu had served as both a test and to further imbed him into hero society, and how Tomura is currently recruiting for the LoV.

The U.A.'s First Term Final Exam is a mandatory exam taken by U.A.'s Hero Department students at the end of the first semester.

Students from Class 1-A take the written exam for three days in their homeroom class. Everyone manages to pass this portion of the test. I think the fact I don't need sleep made me able to study superior. When I mentioned this fact to the others, they all looked at me with jealousy. Even my green-haired spider goddess Izumi slapped my shoulder for that remark. Aizawa asked why both Kuroyami and my names were on the same test paper and I explained anything one of us knows, the other knows and he wouldn't be able to read Kuroyami's atrocious writing. The alien parasite slapped me across the face with a pseudopod for the remark!

Then, Nezu and the U.A. faculty reveal that the practical test will include mock battles between students and teachers. Students are assigned to teams of two and must work together to fight one of their teachers. The teachers are selected to have an obvious advantage over the students, which would force the students to work together, as well as overcome their physical and/or mental shortcomings, to win.

The First Battle was Eijiro Kirishima & Rikido Sato vs. Ken Ishiyama. The disadvantage was Cementoss' [Cement] doesn't have a time limit like Red Riot's [Hardening] or Sugarman's [Sugar Rush]. Eijiro and Rikido were the first to fail the Exam and would be forced to take extra lessons during the Summer.

The Second Battle was Fumikage Tokoyami & Tsuyu Asui vs. Ectoplasm (seriously, what's his real name. Ectoplasm's Clones can appear suddenly and attack Fumikage, who's weak in close range combat. Froppy swallowed handcuffs and Dark Shadow was able to cuff Ectoplasm in a surprise attack. Out first passing pair.

The Third Battle was Tenya Iida & Mashirao Ojiro vs. Higari Maijima. Power Loader can negate Tenya and Mashiro's mobility by manipulating the battlefield and setting traps. In the end, Tenya used his ultimate - Recipro Extend - to get Mashirao Ojiro through the escape gate, to get pass Power Loader and pass their practical exam.

The Fourth Battle was Shoto Todoroki & Momo Yaoyorozu vs. Shota Aizawa. Eraser Head can take advantage of Shoto and Momo's overreliance on [Half-Cold Half-Hot] and [Creation] by erasing their Quirks. It ends with a crazy trap with Momo creating a restraining binding interwoven with nitonyl alloy and heated by Shoto's fire. The memory alloy reverts to its original shape when heated, which resulted in it coiling around Aizawa.

The Fifth Battle was Ochaco Uraraka, Kuroyami, & Me vs. Anan Kurose. Thirteen can exploit Ochaco's nausea-inducing Quirk. I will also admit I didn't know how to fight a walking Black Hole. I'm smart enough not to embarrass Ochaco during the Exam like Yuga did in the original timeline.

Instead, I tethered us to the ground using black symbiote tendrils. When Thirteen got close, I used a combination of smashing strength and Kurayami's armor to break off a massive chunk of rock, a boulder whose gravity was negated by Ochaco. Using the boulder and tendrils as a cross between a giant flail and hammer toss. I swear you could see Thirteen's eyes bug out at the massive rock. Even with her new suit and her [Black Hole] quirk she barely made it out in one piece. Ochaco pulled close by Black Hole's gravity, then gets close and takes down Thirteen with the martial arts she learned from Gunhead.

The Sixth Battle was Denki Kaminari & Mina Ashido vs. Principal Nezu. Nezu is a super-genius thanks to his Quirk [Hi Spec] and can easily outsmart master tacticians. Denki and Mina both have poor grades, and both have poor control of their Quirks. This wasn't a test; it was divine punishment by a Rat God at his most sadistic.

The Seventh Battle was Hitoshi Shinso & Kyoka Jiro vs. Hizashi Yamada. Present Mic's [Voice] outclasses other sound-based Quirks like [Earphone Jack]. It didn't help that Kyoka seriously underestimated her opponent at the beginning. It turns out Present Mic is a male DJ version of DC Comics' Black Canary only not as attractive. They were seconds from losing when Shinso managed to use [Brainwashing] on Present Mic by imitating Jiro voice and asking a lewd question, while Jiro mouthed the words. They were still blushing when they won.

Seriously, it was like when Naruto used Reverse Harem on Goddess Kaguya and it worked.

The Eighth Battle was Mezo Shoji & Toru Hagakure vs. Snipe. The teacher's advantage was Snipe's [Homing] can hit stealth types like Mezo and Toru. Toru managed to handcuff Snipe, while he was distracted by Mezo's many raised hands. Thankfully, since Toru acquired a DNA infused suit there wasn't a case of Toru calling the teacher a pervert.

The Ninth Battle was Izumi Midoriya & Hanta Sero vs. Nemuri Kayama. It was believed that [Tape's] restraining capabilities and Izumi's webbing would be negated because Izumi and Hanta would not be able to get close to [Somnambulist]. The thing is Hanta's helmet protects him from sleep-inducing scent and so does Izumi's mask. In addition, Izumi is a woman, meaning even if she was exposed, it wouldn't be as effective. Midnight ended up nearly cocooned in tape and webbing. The 18+ Hero sounded excited by the bondage she ended up in.

The Tenth and Final Battle of Class A-1 was Izuku Midoriya & Katsuki Bakugo vs. Toshinori Yagi, better known as All Might. Izuku and Katsuki are paired together because of how poorly they get along. They have improved since the dramatic fight at the U.A. Sports Festival, but All Might outmatch them so badly they would be forced to work together. Izuku gave it his all and they managed to escape All Might.

In the end, only six out of the twenty students will have to go to summer school.

If I remember my Hero history this is due to the Quirk Wars. During the conflict, there were people with Quirks that could melt metal, manipulate glass, create magnetic and electrical storms, and generate pulses of radio waves. Alot of telecommunications and electronic media didn't survive.

I click the button again and the boxed starter deck for a trading card game lands on the bed next to me. All Might and Endeavor are on the box, along with another Hero I don't recognize. He has multi-colored spiky hair and holding glowing cards, so I don't know if he's just a mascot or an actual hero in this weird world.

A 175cm (5'9") curvaceous woman with sky blue eyes and long thick spiky dark purple hair, which was made up of layers of varying lengths. She is a barely dressed in a Hero Costume with plates over her breasts, a utility belt over her panty covered crotch like the Nudist Beach operatives from Kill la Kill, large angular shades straight out of Gurren Lagann and an unbuttoned, high-collared trench coat.

At first, I think I teleported Midnight-sensei into my room while she was wearing her infamous third year costume. Then I realize, it's a super realistic doll.

I click the Gacha and a white card appears. This one depicts a black silhouetted figure breaking chains with a halo around his(?) head. It's absorbed into my body and suddenly gain a sense of freedom, as if an invisible hold on my mind and soul just broke. I want to cry out "Liberation!".

The next card is the white silhouette of a woman posing on a black web with a red background. I can't see who the person is supposed to be, but I'm guessing she is either Silk or one of the girls with Spider powers from the Marvel Universe.

The user can psychokinetically manipulate Silk - a natural protein fiber, some forms of which can be woven into textiles. This includes controlling the silk, manipulating the silk's properties, and Improbable Weapon Proficiency with silk. It's like [Fiber Master] Quirk of Best Jeanist, but only works on silk fibers.

Rui (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) could create thread so sharp and strong they would shred people swords included. Alice Fuji (Arachnid) used a dagger on a silk cord as her assassination weapon and used it to survive the Spider Hunt. Kumoko/Shiraori (So I'm a Spider, So What?) had all kinds of amazing spider abilities. There is also Cindy Moon and Miguel O'Hara, better known as Silk and Spider-Man 2099 of Marvel Comics.

The next Card is a red/black card similar to the previous one. This one is depicted two men fighting each other in a martial arts dojo with the same web theme.

The Way of the Spider is a martial arts style developed by Spider-Man and Shang-Chi as a way for Spider-Man to compensate for the loss of his Spider-Sense. Together they created a modified version of Peter's own combat style and Shang-Chi's martial arts. When combined with Spider-Sense it becomes one the greatest martial arts.

Another black card is summoned, this one depicting the man walking in darkness between two different places. On the left is a city showing the Statue of Liberty in the background and the other is desert with a kangaroo in the background. The card dissolves into mist and is absorbed.

The Skill enabled one to travel to the border between the Material Plane and the Plane of Shadow, and then physically wander along this zone to the desired destination, taking advantage of an effect that caused one to move much faster here than on the material plane.

The next Black Gacha Card is creepy. It depicts a sky of white stars with a single dark mass in the center and light being pulled into it. It reminds me of the opening of the music video TWRP - Starlight Brigade – where starlight is stolen from the galaxy. The card dissolves into dark mist and is pulled into Kurayami's body and the lights in the room dim for a second.

The user can absorb light and convert it into usable energy, fueling and strengthening the body. As a side effect the user is rendered immune to light-based attacks such as laser beams. There is a limit to how much light can be absorbed without causing elevated heat levels.

The user can produce a surge of electromagnetic energy, which can disrupt all technology nearby. The pulse may come from the user's hands or even from their entire body.

The next Black Card is strange. It depicts a massive tree with many branches and many roots surrounded by many smaller versions of itself. Instead of turning into mist, it becomes amorphous opaque cloud that floats into the darkness of Kurayami's body.

The user can induce fertility, the natural desire and capability of growth and reproduction, including restoring fertility to infertile/sterile area/beings. There is a pause, then the Klyntar asks a question.

"Dark Soil? Maybe, the Goddess of Dark Fertility: Shub-Niggurath." I say, thinking about HP Lovecraft and the Overlord anime.

There is a horrible chill, a feeling of dread, and lights flash on and off.

"Let's not speak the names of Outer Gods when you're a descendant of the Living Abyss." I say with a nervous tone in my voice.

The second to last Gacha summon is a Black Card depicting trees, flowers, and other plants ranging from fruits and vegetables to carnivorous and toxic plants. In the center is brain resting on a plant stock like a flower bloom. The card dissolves into a large cloud of black smoke, which is sucked into Kurayami.

"Wha...Gack...Dag."

I don't like the sounds Kurayami is making.

The user has an innate mastery of botany, the study of the growth, reproduction, metabolism, evolution, and diseases of plants, including "plant-like" like fungi, algae, bacteria and viruses. Users have an intuitive rapport with plants, unique insights into their psychology and behavior, and a spiritual connection with them.

I-Island is an artificial moving island inhabited by over ten-thousand scientists conducting research on Quirks. On the inside, the island comes complete with four different cities separated by large bodies of water and natural foliage. There are beautiful beaches, great lakes, and incredible cities to explore. On the outside, the island is surrounded by immense ring of metal and mostly composed of Iron. It's a moving city like the cities in Mortal Engines without cannibalism.

Normally, I-Island is a very isolated and secure place, only accessible by Airport, but it's the time of I-Expo. Scientists, heroes, and people from all around the world gather on I-Island to showcase the advancement of Quirk technology. This event is sponsored by big companies that send invites for highly regarded Pro Heroes. Civilians and students can also receive invitations through Pros.

Members of Class 1-A are on the island. Izuku Midoriya is on the island as a guest of Toshinori Yagi (All Might). Momo Yaoyorozu comes from a very rich and influential family, one that supports I-Island. Ochaco and Jiro are Momo's guests, giving the girls a chance to bond. Bakugo was invited by a sponsored who enjoyed his and Deku's performance at The Sports Festival. Bakugo invited Kirishima as his guest. Todoroki came to I-Island to represent his father, who is too busy to come. Iida came to represent his family, as his brother intended before he was crippled by Hero Killer: Stain. Kaminari is working a waiter for some inane reason.

I know all of this because of the U.A. Class 1-A Chatroom. Sero, Rikido, Tokoyami, Mezo, Tsuyu, Tooru, and Mina are all back in Japan. I'm enjoying the fact I'm getting VIP treatment.

I look down at my Friend Finder – a unique item I got from my Gacha festival. It looks like a normal high-end watch, but instead of displaying time, it's a compass that's currently pointing towards I-Island.

Izuku Midoriya does not look the best. When the greeter to I-Island noticed he was with All Might, she shouted it out and a massive amount of people crowded them. While All Might was signing autographs and getting kissed by awful a lot of women (and the occasional man), Izuku was getting bruises from the shoving crowd. As All Might wipes the numerous lipstick stains off his face, Izuku shows a rare moment of spite.

"I wonder what Mom would think if I told her they were getting kissed by a hundred girls. And a couple men."

Toshinori suddenly pales. Apparently, Izuku did catch on that he was dating Inko and Inko can be scary when mad. Inko's Quirk is the movement of small things, which Nemo calls The Force for some reason. Nemo once pointed out that Inko could grab small parts of a person's body if she needed to defend herself and Inko revealed she once been attacked by mugger and had pulled off one of the man's testicles.

"Let's not talk about that, son. We... We're already late to my appointment."

"Appointment?"

"Yeah! I'm planning to reunion with old friends. Sorry, but would you come with me first?"

"All Might's friend? Of course, with pleasure!" says Izuku, as he tries to guess who the friend is. One name does come to mind, his former side kick and the head of I-Island – David Shield.

"I haven't told him about [One for All] or about you becoming my successor. So, please don't say anything."

"You still have secret from a friend?"

"Danger tends to follow anyone who knows of [One for All]. "

"It's for their safety."

"One For All is a very important secret. Midoriya kid, those who inherited [One for All] are fated to face the Greatest villain – All for One. He's a man who will do anything to achieve his goals and is not above attacking the loved ones of Heroes."

"Someday, I will have this burden. I need to be ready to face it, as soon as possible. I must learn how to
use [One for All] wisely." says Izuku to himself.

"Uncle! Uncle Might!"

Izuku and All Might look up at the voice to see an amazing sight.

It's a woman standing at least 169cm (5'6½") when unarmored. She is dressed in sleek full body powered armor which is colored metallic aqua blue and silver-gray. She also has a circular blue-white light on her chest and glowing blue-white eyes. She is kept in the air by thrusters on her palms and boots, and jets on her back. As she lands, her helmet opens to reveal a beautiful seventeen-year-old girl with aqua eyes and shoulder-length blonde hair tied up, so it doesn't get caught in the mechanism.

"Melissa! You've grown!"

"It's good to see you, Uncle Might."

"So, where is David hiding?" says All Might looking around.

"He's still working in lab and getting the prep work ready. I don't think he knows you're here yet."

"I'm here as a surprise?"

"You would have been, if my boyfriend hadn't told me the truth about you!" says Melissa, sounding angry as she pouted and planted her fists on her hips.

"The Truth!?" All Might gawps. " . . . Boyfriend!?" he gawped again after a pause.

"All Might, what's going on!?" says a confused Izuku.

"Simply put, Melissa's boyfriend is a student of history," a voice said from out of nowhere, causing the two to look around for the source, only to see small cube-shaped speakers scattered around them. "As such, I was able to trace one of the most-destructive rivalries from its origin to its present, and thus, the secret you've worked so hard to hide. The fated, repeated clash of One for All, and All for One. And honestly, All Might, how in the hell do you misplace a dead body? You literally had your archnemesis 'dead to rights', and yet the existence of Nomu, well..."

The air beside the armored Melissa shimmering and then lensing, soon gave way to a sleek full body powered armor similar to her own, only masculine in shape. Colored jet black with gray sub-plating and glowing neon blue "Tron Lines" with a circular blue-white light in the chest with eyes to match, to the two Heroes' shock, that armor soon began to "melt" away from the extremities inward toward what looked like a stylized Showa Era Kamen Rider Belt, despite the fact that there was no way a full body suit of powered armor could even fit in there. And it wasn't just the armor that retreated, but also the mini-speakers scattering around them, only instead of melting into something like liquid, it instead crawled about like sand, chittering like something alive as it moved across the brick-laden ground with mathematical precision and synchronicity.

"Programmable Matter?!" Izuku gawped excitedly, going off into a muttering tangent before All Might nudged him in the side as the young man's face became visible.

Clad in a black skin-tight suit, a fresh tide of programmable matter spilled out of his belt and transformed into a long white coat with a flaring collar, as well as adding a layer of flexible armor to his body. The young man himself had a very generic physical appearance atypical of one with Japanese ancestry, standing at the same height as Melissa with short ink black hair, resembling the stereotypical Isekai/Lightnovel Protagonist of their homeland. His faintly emotionless face reminded Izuku of Kyoka Jirou, but what was most-distinctive about his appearance was that his eyes were seemingly perpetually closed, while worn over them was a futuristic-looking visor marked with more "Tron Lines", and lit up with eye-like icons that took the two of them in.

"Ah, but I'm getting ahead of myself," the young man greeted as he shuffled his hair, the eye-like icons on his visor upturning into a pair of friendly "eye smiles". "My name is Nobunara Oda-sensei, and I'm here to save you, Toshinori Yagi."

While many Heroes. Scientists, and innocent Civilians have arrived for the I-Expo, in the darkness of I-Island, Villains are also plotting.

"Swordkil, Nobu, Daigo, and Hacker are ready."

The four villains salute at their master's call.

Swordkil is a middle-aged man with lightly tanned skin, thin honey brown eyes and a long face. He has shoulder-length hair of a desaturated pink color. He kind of looks like Kisuke Urahara from Bleach.

Nobu is a skinny, strange-looking man with pale yellow skin and a face shaped similar to that of a goat. He has thin, dark eyes that are slanted sharply inwards and visibly sharp teeth. His dark green hair is mohawk-shaped and connects around his ears along his cheekbones, and he also has a small goatee. He's by far the ugliest of mercenaries.

Daigo is a middle-aged man with lightly tanned skin and a round head that appears to merge into his thick neck with little distinction. He has small, black eyes that always remain closed, set close together on his face, notably small eyebrows and a visibly hooked nose.

"So are Slice, Chimera, and Mummy."

The three don't salute like soldiers, merely nodding.

Slice is a young woman with fair skin, blue eyes that slope inwards, and noticeably full, glossy lips. She also possesses straight, shiny red hair with chin-length bangs that partially obscure her right eye. She wears a pale purple blouse with frilled cuffs, the collar upturned, and a pearl string necklace of a similar color. Over this is a short, navy-blue dress with a collar so low it dips all the way down to her waist, as well as a thick brown belt that's fastened in 3 places around her waist. She also wears frilled, thigh-high purple socks and a pair of black boots with knee-high protrusions worn over the top

Chimera is an animalistic-looking man with traits of different animals. While he retains a humanoid figure, he has blue fur, a wolf-like head, hands and feet resembling an eagle's talons and a long reptilian tail. He wears a brown trench coat over a blue dress shirt and jeans fastened with a belt, and often has a cigar in his mouth. He styles his dark hair into dreadlocks.

Mummy is a tall, lanky man with pale orange eyes that are baggy and slant forward and straight gray hair. His most distinguishing feature is his numerous burgundy-colored bandages, which wrap around every part of his body except for his hands and eyes. Over his bandages, he wears a dark gray combat vest, light gray skin-tight pants with beige knee guards, and a set of black fingerless gloves.

"Remember the plan, I get the experimental Support Tech and you get the Medical Tech." says one of the two leaders.

He's a tall, bulky man with dark red hair and yellow eyes. He wears a large, white coat with gray cuffs and trimmings. He also sports combat gear that his entire squad of mercenaries' wears, including combat boots, dark pants, and a combat vest. He covers his hands with brown gloves and sports a metallic mask that covers his scars.

"I know the plan, Wolfram. Just make sure you do your part." says the leader of the second group.

He's a man of reasonable height - 189 cm (6'2½") - with fair skin and thin, rectangular gray eyes and white pupils. He also had white hair that reached just past his shoulders, worn swept back away from his face. His most defining feature was the large black mask that covers him from his chest to just above his nose, four extra pieces winding around the exposed skin of his face and around his head. The rest of his body is covered by a protective black bodysuit with similar plates.

"How is the Present from the Doctor and our Patron, Nine?" asks Wolfram.

"He will be able to help Hacker."

Hacker is one of Wolfram's mercenaries, one with shoulder-length wavy white hair and goggles over his eyes. What is more concerning is his companion, a tall lean humanoid with red-and-black skin and an exposed pulsating brain. What's even more disturbing is he's smiling, as if imagining future bloodshed or remembering his past life of endless murder.
