Chapter 24:The Fallen Angel's Disciples

SPLASH!A column of lightning emerged behind Mikasa ,followed by a sound of thunder as she was regrouping with her unit.

"That's Eren!" She spoke, before pivoted into the lightning's direction and fired a cable then bursted herself towards .She speeded up to the direction of Eren's now increase energy and also the Unknown Titan's that happened to be near his.

As she flew toward her destination, another problem has worsened her worries, she could no longer feel Gohan's ki.

'Gohan,what's happening to you?What's happening to Eren?' Her thought as she continued her journey.

First, the appearance of the Female Titan's energy near his squad has quicken Levi 's pace to regroup with them. Then the disappearance of Eld and Gohan's quickened the captain even more. Now,when he felt that Eren's ki has enlarged, he knew something not good was going on.

"HE WAS LIKE A BROTHER TO ME ,YOU BIITCHH!"Eren screamed inside his Titan body as he threw punches after punches at the Female Titan ,in the same time ,his Titan never stop roaring.

The Female Titan was blowing back with each punch that Eren threw at it,before colasped at one. With his opponent flatted on her back, Eren crouched down,locking the Female Titan with his legs and continued to punch the Female Titan in its face.

"FUCK YOU!FUCK YOU!FUCK YOU! If he didn't out of gas,if he had more fucking time,he would fucking killed you already. YOU'D ALREADY BE DEAD! YOU ARE NO MATCH TO HIM!"He thought back to Gohan's actions to the Titan.

It was his final punch that the Female Titan evaded before it headbutted Eren in the face.

Petra,Oulo and Gunther were motionless as they watched the two Titans brawled ,standing near they two dead comrades. They counted 50 hits that Eren delivered to the Female Titan before The female titan escaped from Titan Eren 's locked before kicking him to a tree. Eren quickly got on his feet,he changed his stance to Gohan's demon stance. The Female Titan charged to him,Eren quickly landed a quick roundhouse kick at its chest, sending it to the ground again . With a front flip, the Female Titan regained it stance and cover it face with its fists.

"Fucking kill that bitch already!" Screamed Oulo, rushing Eren "Avenge Eld and Gohan!"

Eren charged at the Titan ,he sent quick and powerful jabs at the Titan's,yet it dogded every blows. The Female Titan returned the favor by crystalising it fist and sent Titan Eren's lower jaw away. Unfazed, Eren threw an uppercut to the Titan's jaw ,forcing the creature to back away.

"Oh crap!Should we interfere!" Gaggled Oulo ,but he found himself and his squadmates paralysed at the scene before them. The female Titan crystalising it feet just before it made a clean kick at Eren, decapitating his Titan's head. The headless Rouge Titan fell into a tree, revealing Eren human form on top of its neck. The Female Titan slowly walked towards Eren unconscious body, it looked at the now motionless Squad below it before opened its mouthe ,widen to its ears, and lowered its head to Eren.

Just before the Female Titan bite into Eren that it heard a burst of gas behind it, the creature crystalised it nape just before a pair of blades swiped across the back of it neck. A green scout figured nimble slided above the Titan's shoulder and grabbed Eren,pulling him out of the headless Titan.

"I don't think so!" Said Captain Levi as he descended to his squad. Thanked to his new energy sensing ability,he was able to navigate his squadmate,making it much easier for him to come to aid them.

The Female Titan quickly persued captain Levi,but another green figure dashed across it and removed one of its arms. Mikasa Ackerman pivoted in the air , shot two lines of cables in to a tree and bursted to the Titan and sliced the Titan lower jaw. Being successful, she continued to skirmish Titan further to buy time for her comrades below.

"You three, status report!" Order Levi before handled Eren to Oulo.

"CAPTAIN!"Petra collapsed into tear by Gohan's corpse as she muttered to her captain "He told us to run away. We didn't listen,and now he's dead, Eld's dead. It should have been me,but he died to save me!" And she cried even more.

The Captain glanced at the Monkey Boy's motionless body just before he looked at Eld's severed one. Two casualties to his squad,he took mental notes.

"Gunther,Petra, Oulo. You recover Son and Eld 's bodies and take Jaeger to rendezvous point. Proceed retreat." Then he turned to where Mikasa and the Female Titan were combating "Ackerman and I will cover you,go!"

"Yes captain." Trembled Petra as she wiped her tears and grabbed Gohan and followed the rest of the squad to Eld body.

Levi ejected to the Female Titan,which was distracted by Mikasa. Knowing that the Titan' s nape was crystallised ,he moved on to the creature's joints between it lower and upper leg. Surprised by the attack, the Female Titan crumbled to it knee and let out a painful shriek. Taking the advantage,Mikasa spinned around midair, severing pieces by pieces of the Titan's left arm.

Having their enemy seriously wounded, Levi and Mikasa retreated back to one of a tree branches.

"We can't kill it, but we can't let the bitch get close to my squad. Any ideas?" Asked Levi

Mikasa felt the four S .O .S members' energies were still not too far away,she didn't want to execute her plan immediately.

"I have one, but I think we need time…"Answered Mikasa.

"Until my squad got far enough, I know."Said Levi ,then he hop onto the Titan's direction. "Let's do it then." Mikasa followed.

The Titan was hurt but not blind,when it saw two Elite Scouts dove at it, it crystalised it right arm and swung it at the two. Anticipated the action,Levi and Mikasa splitted up and stroke at the non-crystalised parts of the Titan's arm,severing it.

Levi could not control his new ability,he acknowledged that his squad were still gaining distance from the combat area,but not enough.

"How you gas, scout?" He headed onto the Titan's remaining working leg and sliced it heel just before the creature realized it. Annoyed that Levi and Mikasa were making its life miserable a just as Gohan had done,it smashed its head blindly at the surrounding trees, disregarding if it hit its targets.

"I had it refill recently before I get here,you?" Answered Mikasa. She made an attempt to slice to the Titan nape,but her blade shattered to the crystal, so she retreated. If she had not retreated in time,she would have been crushed by the Titan now regenerated left hand.

"Me too."He answered. Captain Levi darted forward,sliced off all the creature fingers on the creature's left hand and landed on the ground. Now,he could barely sensed the ki of his squadmates . "If you have any trick up your sleeves. Do it now!"

"Fine,I've got this." Mikasa glided in front of the female Titan, raised her finger to her head and shouted "Solar Flare!"

A blight light gleamed across the forest. Unprepared ,the Female Titan closed it eyes in pain,unable to react to sound out bursting gas and cables. When it finally overcame the pain and opened up its eyes, Mikasa and Levi were gone.

Armin could not believe what he was seeing, despite the casualties in these expedition were not unexceptable thanked to the vast numbers of recruit joining the Regiment. However it was the identity of one of the deaths that shocked him,Gohan,the Angel of Trosts was lying among the Killed in Actions. He rushed to the direction and he could not still believe in when he came close enough.

There was a brown headed female scout crying on top of Gohan 's corpse with two others standing by,bowing their head .Taking a closer look, Armin notice that his friend's entire right side were scarred and broken. His right eye was pierced by a splinter while the left eye was wide open with mydriasis, confirming deceased status. Armin recoiled when a hand reached out and shut Gohan's remaining eye ,he looked up to see it was Mikasa.

"He's gone ,Armin." She pat on Armin's shoulder "There's nothing we can do. I'm going to Eren."

"It should have been me. It should have been me who dies." Petra sobbed as Mikasa walked away "It's all my fault!"

"Casualty happens ,Petra. Should it not happened to our squad,it would happened to others." Said Levi as he glanced at Gohan and Eld . "Don't let it consume you."

"I know you just acting cold ,Captain."Sobbed Petra "You just act like you don't care so you won't have to mourn anyone's death. But Gohan knew that you care."

If Levi was shock by the revelation,he did not show it. "I'll give you sometime,Petra." Then he turned to what was left of his squad. "Oulo ,Gunther,you two carry Eld to the casualty carriage. Then move on to Gohan when you're done."

"Yes ,sir." Complied Gunther as he proceeded to carry Eld lower body.

"Yes,sir." Complied Oulo as he proceeded to carry Eld upper body . "Man,you deserved better."

"So it's true. I couldn't believe it when I heard it."Armin turned around to see Jean and Connie.

"Even a good soldier like Gohan couldn't escape death. What will happen to us." Connie collapsed in tears.

"He shouldn't have…!"Screamed Petra,but the volume of her voice was muffled by her tears. Somehow,Gohan's death devastated the Special Operator than Eld's, that was understandable since Gohan and Petra in the recent time had developed some kind of connection, and now it was cutshot by his death "He told us to fall back,he had a plan to cover our retreat,but we interfered. If we hadn't,he could have figured out a way to stay alive."

"Are you from Levi's Squad? Special Operation Squad?"Asked Jean, he was unable to get his answer when he heard a horse neigh and gallops,from the forrest revealed a white horse going toward Gohan.

"Nimbus?" Asked Armin when the horse nudged his head into Gohan's body.

"I'm sorry Nimbus,but Gohan won't wake up."said Petra.

Disregard of what Petra had said, Nimbus keep nudging his head onto Gohan's chest.

"I'M FUCKING TOLD YOU HE WON'T WAKE UP!"Shouted Petra,but the horse keep sniffing at Gohan chest where Petra started to notice something.

Gohan was starting to barely heaving,this proved that Gohan was barely breathing. Petra and Armin leaned down to Gohan and put their ears on his chest. Although weak, but it seemed that Gohan heart was beating.

"No fucking way."Levi commented at the extra energy he felt from Petra's position.

"Gohan?" Mikasa immediately turned her head at where Armin was when she sensed a new ki.

Armin and Petra stared at eachother with puzzle faces for a moment before realizing what they were surposed to do.

"MEDIC!"Screamed Petra "Medic!HELP!Over here!."
"We got a life one over here!"Screamed Armin "HELP!"

"What the fuck?"Puzzled Jean and Connie just before Captain Levi startled them.

"STRETCHER! Hurry!"Too scouts followed Levi order as they hurried to Gohan,then they put it right next to Gohan.

"Are you sure that he's alive?"Ask one of the Medic when he saw Gohan's broken body.

"Yes,he's still breathing. Just look at his chest."The medic eyed the rising and falling chest of Gohan as Petra instructed him.

"Okay,Ivan,you get his legs and I get his shoulders."Said the medic before moving to Gohan shoulder.

"Got it ,Dietter." Said Ivan ,he turned to Armin "You got to help me ,friend."

Dietter slid his hands under Gohan's right shoulder and signaled Petra to do the same with the left. Armin handled Gohan right leg while Ivan handle his left. When Armin grabbed the leg,he could hear Gohan bone cracked.

"God damned it!Be careful!" Grunted Petra. "He got himself hit hard to a tree."

"This is not good. The son of a bitch is too fucked up to be moved this way, he'll fall apart before we get him to the stretcher." Said Dietter,he then turn to Connie and Jean, who stood and watch. "Hey ,you two,come and help!"

Connie and Jean rush to Gohan and slid their finger underneath Gohan's waist. Making sure that they had secured Gohan,Dietter counted from one to three before they slowly lifted Gohan and slowly move him to the stretcher. "Easy does it!". It was when Gohan laid secure to the stretcher that the group could take a breather.

"Okay ,lads. We'll take it from here." Said Dietter,just as he and Ivan lift the stretcher by holding each end of the stretcher "Danke schön."

The two medic scouts steadily carried Gohan to the carriage where Eren was unconscious. Mikasa was sitting on the said carriage watching over Eren until she dismounted to make room for Gohan. Dietter and Ivan,with Mikasa out of the way, they quickly secured Gohan to the carriage.

"Jurgen, patch this fucker up . He's critical."Yelled Dietter.

A brown headed scout rushed to the carriage where Gohan was and leaped on it. The young scout quickly opened up his field dressing kit and started to slowly but surely patching Gohan.

"Alright ,Scout Regiment!"Erwin's shout got everyone attention . "We're falling back to the district of Karaness . Get a move on! The expedition is over"

The sound of moving hooves and wheels rumbled the entire horizon as the Scout Regiment closing in to wall Rose. Thanked to Gohan's speech at the choosing ceremony, the number of the Survey Corps became unpredentedly increased. With the increased number,the coordination between each scout was also increased, the death rate of the unit had been minimized as possible, despite of the presence of the Female Titan. Erwin wise decision for letting Gohan Son stalling the Female Titan had saved Erwin's many fellow scouts.

"Okay,now that we're in the clear. I need you to tell me how the Female Titan got to you." Ordered Levi to his squad.

"Fucking Gohan. He didn't tied up Nimbus when he get to the Treehouse, so whoever the Female Titan got to our tracks." Answered Oulo.

"Well he fucked up, as he unfucked a lot of things." Remarked Levi

"The bloody bitch shattered the treehouse just as we hauled ass out of there." Followed Gunther. "Gohan solar flared the bitch but it didn't seem to work."

"Then Gohan told us retreat while he covered us." Petra looked back to Gohan carriage and then to the casualty carriages where one of them was carrying Eld's corpse. "We should've listened"

"Don't regret it ." The squad wide eyed the Captain. "It'll make you hesitate, dull your decision, cause you your death."

"Sir yes sir?" Oulo,Petra and Gunther replied with confusion

The cogs intertwined and chains cracked as the gate of Wall Rose rose and gave way for the defeated Survey Corps to enter.

"Eren, you okay?" Asked Mikasa when she saw Eren's eyes widen.

Eren saw his friend riding beside where he was lying, a carriage, Eren touched his head to find it was bandaged.

"What happened to the operation?" Asked Eren

"We're falling back, Eren." Answered Mikasa, her eyes never leave Eren. "We've failed."

Tears started to drip down to Eren cheeks as he covered his eyes. The losses, the failure and the loss of his comrade was now eating him from the inside,and especially Gohan's, oh my god,Gohan.

"Mikasa, I'm so sorry, Mikasa . Gohan is… he…. He." Sobbed Eren as he mentioned the Monkey Boy.

"He's alive,Eren. He's in critical condition,but he's alive." She replied in tears, assuring Eren. "He's right next to you."

Eren turned his head to his left to see a overly bandaged Gohan lying unconscious next to him. The monkey boy's right armed was stabilized with a splint, and the rest of his right side was covered with field dressing. His chest was heaving to prove that he was still alive.

Without hesitation, Eren rolled left and hugged Gohan and continued to cry,he did not know how Gohan meant to him until he almost lost him twice.

"Oh Gohan, I should have turned into a Titan when you needed me."

"HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" The entire Scout Regiment were startled when they heard Nile Dowk sprinting to Gohan Carriage. "IS HE DEAD?"

"No, he alive. Badly injured." Answer Mikasa, surprised by the Military Police's concern towards Gohan.

'Oh fuck,oh fuck, oh fuck!' The Commander of the Military Police knew that he was in trouble. 'The Lady mustn't know, that Beta Ingham mustn't know'

Seeing the state of the casualties of the Regiment, some of the common folks begun to rant.

"Oh, crap. Another failed expedition."

"Why do you even bother to do what you do in the first place?"

"This is bullshit, even the Angel of Trost is as good as dead."

"Can you do us a favor and stop wasting our tax money?"

"Whose tax money?" Somehow the last complain had triggered Nile . "It's lady Winters who pays all the bloody tax while you swine lot evade it."

The mention of the Lady Whose First Name Must Not Be Said in Public had silenced the mob. And everyone was shocked that a Military Police Commander would defend the Survey Corps.

"Erwin Smith." Nile moved to Erwin. "You'll make sure that the boy get better as soon as possible before I stick it up your ass."

The Commander of the Survey Corps raised his eyebrows when he heard this. Somehow, Nile Dowk had a major concern about the well being of a scout. This can be interesting.

The antidepressants are more troubling than helpful
