Since I forgot the apology in the 'Sweet sacrifice' I will put it here. Sorry it took so long to post on this again (that is, if anyone even cares. A lack of reviews is beginning to discourage me). Something I expected to be a simple two shot wound up being longer then I expected and I don't think I will be able to put it in here. Even if I don't, however, I will still be making references to it in future updates, so I will be sure to have it done and posted before those come out. In the meantime, enjoy a nice Manga based Honda centered extended drabble.

To note: Originally, this was titled I Spy, but after typing the last word, I chose to rename it and yes: Honda did indeed tail Ryou in between the Duelist Kingdom arc and the Dungeon Dice arc. It was even a minor plot point.

Honda watched Bakura from around the corner of a nearby building. The white haired teen was looking at a hobby magazine at a nearby magazine stand, oblivious to Honda's spying. On one hand, Honda felt a little bad about spying on a friend, especially one as nice as Bakura. On the other, Honda knew Bakura was wearing the ring and he also knew first hand that the spirit of the ring was still able to assert control over his friend. Honda had been spending his spare time since Duelist Kingdom keeping an eye on him, ready to jump in at the slightest sign of provocation. Whether or not the ring spirit was truthful about whose side he was on, Honda still didn't trust him. He had proven himself to be a lying snake at every turn and everything he'd done in the past, especially the crimes against the real Bakura, were unforgivable. As it was, Honda had a strong suspicion that the spirit had something to do with Pegasus' death. Honda had heard three days ago that the CEO was found dead in his office. An investigation was ongoing, with the American man, Kieth Howard as a prime suspect. Unfortunately, he was nowhere to be found, though Honda had suspicions about that as well.

Movement from Bakura caught Honda's eye and he saw as the other young man paid for the magazine, tucked it under his arm and began walking away again. Honda waited till Bakura was several paces ahead before he left his corner, following at a safe distance and doing his best to look inconspicuous. This...this here was the least he could do. For his friends, it was the least. He may not be a duelist like Yugi, he may not be a fighter on par with Jonouchi, but the least he could do for all of them was to remain vigilant.

In the manga, Jonouchi was a better fighter then he was portrayed in the anime. Honda not so much. Better then most, but not quite to Jonouchi's level. However, Honda has displayed a major protective side, such as his tailing of Bakura in the manga. This scene toys with that.
