CHAPTER 5
The Wicked Emperor, Zeus

It was a stormy day at Lumiose City, and amongst the rain, people and Pokémon were still trying to do their usual business even though the downpour was getting worse. We then shift to one of the city's highways. Cars and motorbikes were still driving despite the storm, and we then begin focusing our attention to one of the cars. However, the driver, a young man, then noticed that something was off.
Instead of going forward to his destination. like what he was supposed to, he instead realized that he was going up. His car was levitating in the air, but not only that, lots of automobiles, be it cars, or trucks, were getting lifted up by some sort of invisible outside force. The man then tried to stop it, to no avail, however. Minutes later, his car and all of the other ones situated on the highway would then come to a stop with an instant jolt at a dangerous height before falling to the ground. All of them wound up crashing into the asphalt, killing the poor young man and many other people who were the drivers or passengers of the other cars.
And out of nowhere, an avian bird monster resembling a Corviknight would then appear at the scene of the crime. This was the Raven Inhumanoid, M.Y.T.H.O.S' latest cyborg monster.

He then decided that his time wreaking havoc would be done for the time being, causing him to want to return back to his hideout. And on that note, the monster would then take off into the sky, returning to the Olympus Castle.
Back there though, the Inhumanoid had noticed fear and nervousness among his platoon of Hoplite Soldiers, causing him to ask the reason for it to happen.

"It is not about the plan, Commander! His Majesty Emperor Zeus is finally returning to this castle!" A soldier clarified.
"Ȩ̶͒ṃ̸̽̀p̷̩͓͛ȩ̸̼͋r̷͎̳̒o̸͓̭̊r̴͙͖͛ ̸̪̘̾Z̴͔̙̽e̶͈̬͋ŭ̸̧ş̸͉̍!̵̼̪̓̆?̷̦̄ ̵͚̊̒T̷͙̋͆ḣ̶̯é̶̞̎ ̴̪̝͆m̷͍͉̾a̵̦͂n̴͎͐̇ ̵͔̉w̴̦̱͑͘h̵̢́o̴̥̽̀ḿ̴̞͜ ̵̡͒i̷̼̮̾͐ṣ̴͋ ̶̤̼̔t̵̜̀̎h̶̢̚͜è̷̥̼ ̷̟͉̿͌ẽ̶̙x̶̜̰̓ä̸̤̘́l̶͍̄͆ţ̸̊ĕ̸̯d̷̖̊̎ ̸̹͋l̶̼̝̉͝e̵͖̪̎͋a̸͎͐̒d̸̫̫͝e̸͈̔̑ȓ̷͕̱̾ ̸̧̳̈̎ò̸͇̝f̸͎̀ ̵̙̈́̇t̵̲͔̚h̷̳̪̾̑ĭ̵̟͝s̴̯̖̓ ̴̙̯́̀o̷̥̍̑r̸͍͌g̸̞̋͝a̶͙̞͆ṋ̷͍̾̍ị̴̲̽z̷͔͚͐a̶̹̅̃ṯ̵͂͜͝î̶̟̜͑ǫ̶͝ņ̴͔̈́!̶̠́̃?̵̭̀" Raven Inhumanoid said. He was beyond flabbergasted. He then let out a creepy squawk to express his fear.
As a result, his soldiers would only be able to give a nod. A few minutes later, the platoon, along with the Inhumanoid, would then be called out to the court room to prepare for the arrivals of Zeus and Artemis. Artemis however was insignificant to the soldiers and Raven Inhumanoid; they were scared shitless with the fact that Zeus was returning.
In the courtroom, Apollo was currently standing near the two thrones of Zeus and Hera. Hera herself was already seated at her own throne, with many Hoplite Soldiers, and Raven Inhumanoid himself, lined up in rows, directly facing towards the two thrones. Just then however, the sounds of jarring footsteps would be heard and as a result, everyone there would move out of the way and snap to attention, including the Raven Inhumanoid and virtually all soldiers present.
A middle-aged man wearing a himation robe, heavy ancient Greek footwear, and bracers on both of his arms would then enter the room. He had black hair, though some of the locks were dyed gray, a long beard, and a pale complexion, with one of his eyes being covered up with an eyepatch. His face also has two black lines on the bottom of his eyes near the bridge of the nose, running down the cheeks, and all the way to his beard. The man was also holding a lightning-bolt themed staff. This was the true leader of M.Y.T.H.O.S, Emperor Zeus.
Behind him was a woman somewhere in her 30s, with a fair complexion, blue eyes, and long, brown hair, which was styled to appear very elegant and kept flowing down. She was wearing a chiton, complete with a long himation robe, just enough to cover her legs. She was also seen wearing ancient Greek footwear, though it is not as reinforced and as heavy as Zeus. This is the one of the organization's female generals, Princess Artemis.
Zeus and Artemis later took their own positions in the room. Zeus would at last finally sit down on his empty throne beside Hera's own, with Apollo vigilantly guarding it. Artemis on the other hand, took her place to guard Hera's throne like what Apollo did.
Apollo then turned towards Zeus, before kneeling down to him out of loyalty. "Welcome back, Your Imperial Majesty." He greeted.
"Friendly as always, hmm? Thank you, Apollo. I hope I did not keep all of you waiting for me to return." Zeus said.
"Pleased to meet you, Your Imperial Majesty." Artemis greeted to Hera, kneeling down much like what Apollo did. Hera however only nodded in response.
"The Shinkaigers have been getting in the way of our schemes ever since we began our onslaught, however. Fortunately, Apollo had made sure that he had a plan to plunge the region into chaos before you return." Hera explained, turning her head to face Zeus.
"Oh? What is it, if I may ask, Apollo?"
"Yes, sir. Raven Inhumanoid is currently in charge of that very same operation. He is currently still utilizing his psychic powers to lift any automobiles in any highway on the region. Then, he will stop levitating those automobiles and cause a severe accident as those pathetic vermin crash into their deaths." The general explained.
The M.Y.T.H.O.S emperor however responded with an amused expression, before laughing maniacally. "Splendid, Apollo! However, I must ask one favor from you." This would then leave Apollo flabbergasted.
"What is it, your Imperial Majesty?" Apollo asked, in a curious tone.
"You are to be deployed into the battlefield at once with Raven Inhumanoid. Try to capture those pesky fools and bring them back here. I do not want to tolerate failures." Zeus said.
"Yes, sir!" Apollo affirmed.
"Very well. Go on, Apollo!" Zeus ordered. raising his voice to instantly scare every soldier in the court room. With that, the M.Y.T.H.O.S general then departed from the castle, taking along with him Raven Inhumanoid himself and the monster's own platoon.
Guardia Base Kalos, Lumiose City
We then focus our attention to the briefing room of the Guardia Base, where Lillie was currently putting her proteges up to date with what had happened, with the recent news of severe car crashes plaguing the region being their number one priority.
"Car crashes at a massive scale like this is impossible to happen, so I've got a solid guess that M.Y.T.H.O.S is behind this." Ran said, explaining his analysis.
"You're right, Ran, but that's not all." The Shinkaiger mentor confirmed. This was met with a confused look by Ryouma, who had left quarantine at about a week ago. Erina also tilted her head in confusion, and so did the other Shinkaigers.
"What?" Hikaru asked. This prompted Lillie to explain the information to them. "We've picked up some information that M.Y.T.H.O.S' true leader, Emperor Zeus, has returned to the organization after he was absent for undisclosed reasons. He's also reported as having brought another new general named Artemis into the organization.
"Damn. Stepping up the A-games, are we?" Takeru remarked.
Ran then spoke up, voicing his opinion. "In that case, I think we should be a little bit careful when we're to fight that new Inhumanoid. Who knows, Zeus might have the guts to deploy one of his generals."
"Don't jinx it yet, Yellow. We don't want another attack to happen again." Ryouma said in a monotone voice.
"Either way, these generals seem formidable. We should practically keep an eye out if we were to run into one of them, since getting injured might not be a good idea, to say the least." Erina interjected.
"Reasonable, then." Hikaru replied.
However, the base's alert systems then blared, prompting Lillie to get serious and deploy the team into the area of the attack.
"There is an Inhumanoid attack at the North Boulevard near the Rouge Plaza. Shinkaigers, you are immediately to be deployed to the battlefield. Move out!"
The team, in response, would snap to attention and affirm the assignment with a salute. "Yes, ma'am!"
And with that, the five trainers would later assume their Ranger forms and make their way out of the base with a mad dash, changing their U-Phones into the EvolStriker before speeding up towards the city center.
Flash forward a few minutes later, and the Shinkaigers were already beginning to trade blows with Raven Inhumanoid on the site of the attack, with them already beginning their signature unified roll call.
"Shinkai Red." Takeru started, snapping his fingers.
"Shinkai Yellow." Ran meekly followed, also snapping his own fingers.
"Shinkai Black!" Ryouma followed suit, snapping his fingers like his other teammates.
"Shinkai Blue!" Hikaru continued.
"Shinkai Pink." Erina ended, with this time adding a special elegant flair onto her pose.
"Shuugo Sentai, Shinkaiger!" The team proclaimed in unison.
They then began their direct offensive after that. After some time had passed, the fight would then begin to escalate, as Ran was the Shinkaiger who would deal the brunt of the damage to the monster, with Erina and Ryouma being relegated to fighting off the reserve soldiers as per Takeru's orders.
Speaking of the Red warrior though, he had already helped most of the citizens in the vicinity of the attack to evacuate, and as a result, he would be helping his second-in-command by trying to deal a super-effective damage combo (partly due to Corviknights having a weakness to Fire-type moves in addition to Electric-type ones) to the best of his abilities and help lighten up Ran's part of the fight by semi-tanking the raven monster.
As for Hikaru himself though, he was also trying to deal damage to the Inhumanoid to the best of his own abilities, too. Close-range combat wasn't exactly Ran's cup of tea, and since Takeru was trying to literally tank the monster's attacks like a champ, Hikaru had volunteered to help the two on the fight, effectively making the Corviknight-based cyborg monster be heavily outnumbered and as a result, he was ganged up on pretty quickly.
However, Ran was getting pretty uncomfortable with how much the raven monster is putting a strain on his stamina (He had thought that M.Y.T.H.O.S had probably made the Inhumanoid even stronger just to make his teammates and himself pretty tired by one fight) and as a result, Ran had decided to call Lillie via his helmet's communicator.
"Ohkido-san, is there a new medal that I'm currently able to use?" Ran asked while shooting the EvolArrow thrice to deal more damage to the monster.
The Alolan woman then replied back. "Well, we already had a new medal fresh from the purifying machine. Why did you ask for it?"
"This darn monster's stronger than we expected. Red and Blue's helping me to deal with him, but he's not going down any minu- WHOA!" Ran answered, before his explanation was cut off by an attack from the Inhumanoid, which would then be blocked out by his powers. The Yellow warrior then continued. "As I said, Raven Inhumanoid isn't going down at any minute now, and I need to kill. Is the new EvolMedal by any chance an Electric-type?"
"You bet. Needing a power boost?" Lillie replied, with her face sporting a bit of a smirk back at the Guardia Base.
"Oui, s'il vous plait! I really need to cut the chase quick before my body gets too tired to continue!"
"DON'T FORGET THAT YOU'RE MAKING OUR HANDS AND FEET EXTREMELY NUMB, BRAINIAC!" Hikaru said, interjecting in the conversation due hearing everything that his teammate had said to his mentor / mother.
"Hikaru, take it easy!" Takeru berated. He had heard literally everything, just like Hikaru himself.
"Stop arguing, please! Anyways, Ran, I'm transporting the Galvantula Medal over to you, then. I'll continue to monitor the battle." Lillie said. She then proceeds to send the medal away from the Guardia Base using her U-Phone before cutting off communications.
As a result, back at the battlefield, Ran's own U-Phone would then begin to beep in an instant, indicating that the Galvantula EvolMedal was able to be successfully transported. The 16-year old then proceeded to slide his phone's screen to the side before retrieving the medal. Seconds after, Takeru would then strike the pavement below the monster with the EvolBlade, causing minor tremors that was able to knock the monster back a few feet rather immediately to allow for Ran to use the new medal.
"Go for it, buddy." Takeru encouraged, with Hikaru similarly giving a nod.
"Thanks, man." Ran replied. The Yellow warrior was then quick to remove the Jolteon Medal from the EvolBracelet after opening its clear glass lid before inserting the Galvantula Medal in its place, again closing the bracelet's lid with a swipe of his organic arm.
GALVANTULA!
The 16-year old then presses down on the EvolBracelet's top button using the palm of his hand.
Electrifying! Ensnaring! Shocking! Link Up! (Harmony!) Galvantula~ [Trapping opponents with its electrifying webs.]
Ran's suit then begins to transform accordingly, with the upper torso changing into a light purple color and a few parts of the chest armor changing color from yellow into dark blue. His gloves would also turn yellow, gaining extra dark blue extensions to protect his elbows. His boots would remain the same, except for the fact that the extensions would also become dark blue as well, matching the color scheme of the Galvantula line. The lower part of the torso would then gain purple markings reminiscent of the ones in a Galvantula, extending well over into the knees. As for the helmet itself, the only noticeable differences was that the mouthpiece had changed color into light purple, and the helmet would gain another pair of Jolteon-esque decorative "eyes", though it extremely small and you would have to have a keen eye to see. (It is worth noting that the helmet would resemble Galvantula's pre-evolution Joltik instead, however, due to the helmet having four pairs of decorative eyes as opposed to six for design simplicity.) Not much has changed from the helmet besides that.
GALVANTULA!
Ran then proceeded to take up a fighting stance. However, Hikaru then tilted his head, with him both puzzled and confused by one thing.
"Uhh, Ran, why does the helmet only have four eyes instead of six? It resembles a Joltik rather than a Galvantula!" Hikaru asked, pointing out the design simplicity result.
"Oh, shut it, Blue. I wouldn't really want my forms looking like it wasn't designed by a certain green-eyed blonde-haired woman from Alola." Ran replied.
Back at the Guardia Base though, Lillie then sneezed at the mention of her on the battlefield by Ran while she was busy monitoring the Shinkaigers. As the communications were turned off, however, Lillie didn't know what was happening right then and there at that time, and so the Alolan woman would then shrug it off. The joke however has some semblance of truth hidden into it; Lillie herself was the one who designed all of the prototype suits and every form that the team has had on their arsenal up until that point.
We then go back to the battlefield after that little moment, with Ran being eager to test out his new power. "Well then, I think it's time I see what happens if you use two medals of the same type. Let's go, Raven Inhumanoid!"
In response, the monster then began letting out one of his creepy squawks to signal that he had accepted the challenge. "W̷̹̏i̵̬̓͜t̵̮̙̽̈h̷̝̑ ̴̣͒p̶̼̩̽̑l̵̗̓e̴̲̅̅a̶͚̓̕s̶̢̙͝ŭ̸̖͆r̶̡̈́e̵͌̏ͅ,̷͔͂̕ ̷͓̿Ś̸̼̺́h̵͈͛i̵̥͊ṋ̸̱̀̐ḱ̴̠̭̍à̴̜̬ḯ̸̧ ̵̠̏Ỵ̶̐e̶͔̲̿͝ḷ̵̇l̵̡͝o̷̫̅͆ẅ̴̳́!̴͔̈́̉"
"Takeru, Hikaru, I'll take care of this! Go help Ryouma and Erina!" Ran ordered.
"Alright!" The both of them said in unison.
With that, Ran then began charging away at the raven-based monster, attacking him like it was no tomorrow using the EvolArrow. However, the Yellow warrior knew that the weapon wasn't strong enough just yet, and as a result, the 16-year old would then decide to use the form-exclusive weapon from the Galvantula Medal instead.
Ran then proceeded to hit a secret button hidden in his cybernetic left forearm, causing a crossbow / gun hybrid, which was being stored on a display case in the Guardia Base Kanto, to be instantly digitized into particles. The weapon then appeared again on the battlefield in Kalos before rematerializing in Ran's hands.
EVOLBOWGUN!
As a result, Raven Inhumanoid himself would be taken aback by this. "W̶̖̼͊h̸̦͠a̶̡̼̒͛t̵̡͍͒̀ ̵̠̄̈́ͅị̷͘ǹ̶̪̞ ̸̢̏͜t̸͙͑h̴̠͚̎e̵̺͊!̶̝̾?̵̮̓"
"C'est fantastique! Now I can finally finish this abomination of a monster." Ran said, gawking in surprise and awe at his new weapon.
Then, he charged at the cyborg monster for the second time, attacking and dealing major damage to the Inhumanoid whilst Takeru and Hikaru was backing up Ryouma and Erina, attacking any reserve Hoplite Soldiers with no mercy whatsoever before the four would then begin ganging up on the Corviknight-based cyborg with Ran.
However, the five-man team would later be distracted by the sound of a few sudden footsteps in the area. The source of the sound was none other than Apollo himself, walking up to the monster while disguised in casual clothes to conceal his identity.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop! This is a danger zone!" Ryouma ordered, not knowing about the man's malicious intent.
"Stay away from here, please! Get on to safety!" Ran also said.
"Such measures would not be needed." Apollo said, in a stoic but straightforward manner.
"What the fuck are you talking about!? And who are you anyway!?" Hikaru responded.
Behind his helmet however, Takeru's eyes would then glow red for a brief moment before his cheeks would gain a vein-like crack. He then mouthed out. "Oh, no no no no..."
With that, Apollo later stepped forward, sporting a smirk before letting an avian-like astral projection the size of a Cutiefly made out of light to perch onto his hand.
"When the Metapod begins to crack, a Butterfree appears. Once the darkness of an eclipse passes by, this Apollo... Shines in the heavens." The M.Y.T.H.O.S general said, while the bird-like astral projection on his hand would later be absorbed by the young man. The projection then begins to transform into light, which would then engulf him, dissipating to reveal Apollo fully decked out in his Ancient Greek-inspired garb.
This would make everyone except Takeru be fully shell-shocked. The Red warrior wasn't affected by the sheer shock of it all, presumably due to the mysterious vein-like crack on his cheek, which had gone unnoticed by his teammates due to it being hidden behind his helmet.
"Apollo?" Erina mouthed while tilting her head.
"Isn't that..." Ran mumbled while trying to think about who Apollo was.
"Ÿ̵̦̟͗o̸̡͚͗̆ù̷͔͐ͅr̸̭̪͆ ̵̦̣̕H̴̗̘͝ĩ̵̬ḡ̸̯h̷̥̅n̴̺͗ě̵̢̻s̸̤̝͂s̸̹̽!̶̗̀ ̶̭̏̚P̶̟̽̅l̷̥͔͛̏e̴̪̔̌a̸̛̖̓͜ṣ̷̢͆ẹ̴̈́ ̷̗̝̇̅h̴͖̑ë̴̱́͂l̷̡̘͛͝p̸͕͌ ̶̝̦̿͆m̴̘̮̔e̶̳̝̿!̶̟̥̄" Raven Inhumanoid said upon seeing the general appear before him and his enemies.
Takeru however suspiciously just laughed while stepping forward towards Apollo. "I've heard a few things from you. Aren't you Apollo, Emperor Zeus' trusted war hero and therefore... Our enemy?"
"So, you have heard of me, eh? Shinkai Red?" Apollo asked, in a calm but threatening manner. Takeru however was unfazed by it.
"Ah, I've been well informed. You're also pretty famous."
Apollo could only let out an amused chuckle with that, though. "Flattery will get you nowhere."
"Unfortunately, you are indeed my enemy, so, I suppose this... would be inevitable. Apollo, let's settle this." Takeru said, pausing for a bit to brandish the EvolBlade and sharpen it with the palm of his hand.
The Red warrior then recklessly began to charge towards Apollo with his sword to prevent the general from helping Raven Inhumanoid, his own monster. This would prompt Ran and the others to continue fighting said Inhumanoid, who was being restrained when the general had appeared.
And thus, the battle would then continue for a few minutes long, as a result of the team all having their hands full.
Meanwhile, back at the Guardia Base, Lillie had gasped at what she'd seen on the computer screen while monitoring her proteges' battles. Zeus had deployed Apollo into the area, making the situation grim, and it just gets worse from there, as the M.Y.T.H.O.S general was facing off against Takeru. Sure, he was the most experienced member on the team, but his own power level isn't even on par with Apollo himself. As a result, she would then pull out her U-Phone, and instantly proceeded to open her messaging app.
Lillie then let out a sigh as she hovered over her husband Shigeru's contact and a mysterious contact currently labeled as "N". "I think it's time we finally take harsher action, then."
We then focus back to the battlefield, where the Shinkaigers were still fighting their enemies. The area was devoid of any citizens, with them being safely evacuated by the police, who left the team to do their job.
However, Takeru wasn't exactly gaining the upper hand. His attacks would just get blocked by Apollo, who was pretty hasty with it. The Red warrior wasn't even able to knock him back a few feet, giving into perspective how much power that Apollo currently has at his disposal compared to what Takeru is currently capable of.
Disliking what was going on with his opponent, Apollo then simply took out his recurve bow, with him remaining eerily silent, before proceeding to do an attack with it. Takeru then tried his best to disarm the general, but Apollo had him outmaneuvered and as a result, he was able to deal major damage to Takeru by shooting three rapid-fire attacks. As a result, Takeru would then become weakened, causing the aforementioned Red warrior to press the trigger of the EvolBlade two times.
FINISHING BLOW!
"Kaen Suiheizan!"
TALONFLAME! ONE STRIKE SLASH! FIRE!
Takeru then proceeded to deliver his signature attack; the Kaen Suiheizan, to attack Apollo, however, the attack was effortlessly blocked. Takeru and Apollo then heard an explosion sound coming from a few meters away while they were still trading blows, where the remaining Shinkaigers has just finished their fight with Raven Inhumanoid without Takeru's help.
"Well, at least they're strong... But I'll make sure they wouldn't be able to help you, Red!" Apollo exclaimed, with it being his first spoken words since the duel had begun.
The M.Y.T.H.O.S general then proceeded to charge up his recurve bow, before ultimately firing a deadly supercharged attack coated in dark miasma, and it wouldn't go particularly well for the 17-year old.
Rewinding back to a few minutes before that, Raven Inhumanoid wasn't having a particularly good time either, as the four remaining Shinkaigers were beating him black-and-blue. With Ran leading the team effort by dealing the super-effective damage, the team was able to get the upper hand against the Corviknight-based monster, and with said Inhumanoid being extremely weakened at this point, Ran eventually decided to go for a kill.
He then began inserting the Galvantula EvolMedal into the medal slot before pressing the trigger of the EvolBowgun, before cocking back the hammer of the weapon to ready the attack.
FINISHING BLOW!
Ran then proceeded to take up a stance to aim on the monster's head.
"Rénforce Tonnerre Tirer!" (Empowered Thunder Shoot!)
He then proceeded to release the hammer, causing it to spring back to its original position.
GALVANTULA! SPARKING AMPERE SHOOT!
The weapon would then proceed to fire a supercharged arrow shot, which would hit the Inhumanoid, causing him to scream in pure agony and pain and eventually fall into his first death.
As a result, the quartet later celebrated their win, however, they were quickly interrupted, as Takeru would then get pummeled by Apollo's dark energy shoot, knocking him back 10 feet backwards and creating massive explosions around him.
Takeru then proceeded to scream in pain. It was even more excruciating than the ones that his team had inflicted to Inhumanoids in the past. "GYAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
The resulting explosion and pain would eventually cause Takeru's transformation to be forcibly disengaged, and he wasn't able to barely stand, either.
In frustration and anger, the 17-year old later lamented at his defeat. "Blasted... Apollo...!" He was currently stuck in a 'superhero landing' pose from the explosions, with one of his hands grasping on the ground below him. He however, could not stand up due to the immense fatigue, and worst of all, some of his synthetic skin got damaged, exposing the 17-year old boy's cybernetic parts.
"Takeru!" shouted an alarmed Ran and Ryouma, who was beyond horrified and shocked at Apollo's sheer force of power. The M.Y.T.H.O.S general had effortlessly defeated their friend and team leader.
A worried Hikaru soon followed, for once being worried about his rival's well-being despite disobeying him for a couple of times. "TAKE-CHAN!"
"BIG BROTHER!" Erina yelled in extreme worry. Hers was the loudest out of the four of them. She was not liking where this is going, with her brother being effortlessly defeated by a general as powerful as Apollo himself.
Ryouma then proceeded to use his EvolStriker to drive Takeru back into the Guardia Base for him to recover, with the Black warrior knowing for sure that Lillie was watching them like a hawk from there. But, as if to rub salt against the wound though, Raven Inhumanoid's fail-safe program would then activate, reviving the monster and growing him up to giant size, making the Shinkaigers have an extremely bad day going forward. Fortunately, Takeru was able to give one last order to his teammates upon seeing the giant monster.
"Team... T-Takeru here. Attack that fucking Inhumanoid..." He then paused, grunting before continuing his orders to the trio with heavy breathing. "With only your vehicles' onboard weapons... until Ohkido-san can take control of the EvolJet. This... extends to Ryouma once he comes back to the battlefield."
The team then affirmed the order through their communicators, with Ran, Hikaru and Erina summoning their respective mechas before dealing decent damage to the Inhumanoid by way of their onboard weapons. As for Ryouma however, he just gave a nod, still keeping an eye out on the road in front of him just as Apollo was leaving the battlefield with a sinister grin.
Flash forward a few minutes (again), and Takeru was already resting at the Guardia Base's housing space after he was driven there by Ryouma following his defeat at the hands of Apollo. The 17-year old has had his cybernetic parts repaired since then, and is still pushing through the fatigue, but he himself obviously isn't in a very good shape to fight with his teammates. His mentor Lillie though was still busy monitoring the quartet at the battlefield. which had gone ahead and complied with his orders, in a different room.
Suddenly, the automatic doors would then slide open, revealing Satoshi and Serena. The couple was worried about their son after hearing of his defeat, and thus had decided to go to the Guardia Base to check on him.
"Dad? Mom? You came here because you've been informed about it, didn't you?" Takeru momentarily asked his parents.
"...Yeah. You getting defeated was ultimately a shocker, but hey, at least you've tried your best, champ. Pikachu here definitely agrees with me." Satoshi said, in an effort to cheer up the bad atmosphere.
"I'd definitely want you to not give up, Takeru. Sylveon and Delphox would agree with me, too, since they did evolve in the past because of my resolve of not giving up. You tried your best, and that's what matters, alright?" Serena said.
"But... You knew for a fact that I was defeated without Apollo even breaking a sweat... I just can't think up of a decision... One part of me says that I should... potentially, resign from the team and forget about the fact that I'm now no longer human, but I just can't let Ran and the others bear the burden like that! I'm just too confused about this, for Arceus' sake..." Takeru replied. He wasn't exactly in a good mental state, either.
"Champ, don't you dare say that you're going to resign. You're a warrior: Warriors aren't supposed to run from the battlefield and stop fighting. You'll be no better than a coward, you know that, right, son?" Satoshi said with a stern manner, with his face also turning into a frown, trying to make his son realize that one of his decisions was wrong.
"Besides, you're the leader of the team, Takeru. You're the one whom Erina, Ran and the others look up to. You're the only one capable of thinking rationally on the team and the one who makes decisions. Without you, the whole world is going to fall into despair." Serena said.
"Mom... Dad..."
"Also, don't you remember what I used to say back then?" Satoshi asked. The 38-year old usually always reminded his son to take the more positive side of anything with it.
"Never give up till it's over... Right, Dad, Mom?" The 17-year old replied back. His confused and frustrated expression later softened a little bit, but he wasn't able to properly smile yet.
"Ah, that's it. You never give up until it's over, so you better try your hardest to fight them off to the best of our abilities. I, your mother, Uncle Calem, Aunt Sana, Keito, Shigeru, Lillie, your friends, their families, and your teammates... We're all hoping for a better place to live in, son. Because, we all want the Shinkaigers to win, regardless if anybody is aware of its existence.
Takeru then let out an exasperated sigh, before Serena ultimately decided to add to her husband's words of encouragement. "And if you'll manage to win, we'll all be happy. Don't let all of us down, Takeru; we both are rooting for you and Erina to be the one victorious in this fight, so, like what your father would always say, never give up till it's over, oui?"
"You get it, Mom."
Serena later smiled, prompting her to pat her son at his shoulder. "Now that's my little boy."
Satoshi would later intensify it, however, giving Takeru a hug and a pat on the back. "That's it, champ. That's it. Now don't ever think of doing that again and when you're confronted with a problem like this, just talk to me, okay? I've been through this with your mother— We'll try to help you for sure."
"I'll try." Takeru simply said. His eyes then simply darted onto the EvolBlade as the two parents would later change the subject by discussing about Takeru's Santalune Gym Battle and his plans for the foreseeable future.
Back at the battlefield, Ran, Ryouma, Hikaru and Erina were currently busy attacking Raven Inhumanoid. Ran and Hikaru were both at the front of the defensive line, with them already firing off barrages of projectiles from Trailer and Marine at the legs of the Corviknight-based monster to weaken him. Erina was currently targeting the Inhumanoid's wings with Shuttle, using its onboard weapons with proficiency while Ryouma takes up the risk of distracting the monster with Roader and its immense speed.
The attack would then go on for 3 full minutes however when all of the giant vehicles would then regroup and take aim for a kill using their all of their current arsenal combined: Lillie hadn't controlled the EvolJet just yet for all this time (as she was away informing "N" and Shigeru about Zeus' return and is currently trying to take care of their flights to Kalos), and so the team was getting rather impatient and would rather screw wasting time on waiting for Shinkai-Oh's last component to appear.
And so, the four Shinkaigers would then begin charging their weapons at full, maximum power, prompting the raven monster to prevent them from attacking.

"Brainiac, now's our chance! He can't move!" Hikaru exclaimed without thinking twice about it.
"Non, not yet, Hikaru! I'm feeling a little bit suspicious about this..." Ran said. True to his words, the Inhumanoid suddenly freezing up like a statue immediately created a bad feeling.
"Yeah, same here." Ryouma said. Erina herself later affirmed it. "It's likewise with myself."
With that, Hikaru later kept his weapon charged, but he decided not to fire the projectile, like what the other Shinkaigers did.
"W̵͔͍͛h̶̨͖́͂y̵̩̾ ̸̢͚̈̄i̷͍̍ş̶̬̐͠ ̴̤͑t̴̢͉̑͒h̷̅̃ͅi̷̜̦͝s̴͔̀ ̷̡͘̚h̶̪̀ą̸̉̀p̷͖̤̿͑p̴̑ͅë̵̼n̵̹͍̚ḯ̵͙͇n̷̻̜͆g̷̼͙̒̂!̴̠͖́̀?̸̧̆ ̸͇̗̓I̷̯͊͗ ̴̡͆̓C̵̪͗A̴̡̹͂͠Ṇ̷̆̿'̸̬͎̅̀T̷͇̜͂̔ ̶͎̥̋M̷̯͔͑O̸͉̒̈V̸̨̠̉̀Ë̸̕ͅ!̸̟͇̾" The Inhumanoid lamented. Seemingly out of nowhere though, the raven monster then exploded like a colossal depth charge, with him not being able to utter any last words. This prompted Ran and the other Shinkaigers to turn the charge power down so as to not waste energy.
"Well, that was strange." Hikaru remarked.
"That was definitely not the thing I would expect, either." Erina said bluntly.
Ryouma then decided to speak up. "Me three."
The conversation however was then cut off by Ran, who immediately began ordering the quartet. "Either way, good work, team. Let's go back to base, Erina's parents are there and we wouldn't want to make Pink miss reuniting with them."
With that, the conversation continued as the team drove through the city to return back to base, not knowing that Apollo was watching them from afar.
"Heh... So this is what they're capable of. This will be fun." The young man said, before letting out an amused laugh. He then returned back to the Olympus Castle.
At night...
We then focus our attention to the Lumiose Airport, where a mysterious, green-haired man dressed in white clothing, a black undershirt, and khaki pants, accompanied by a black and white cap and a pendant necklace around his neck, would then come out of the arrival gate and make his way out of the airport, silently murmuring a sentence.
"Lillie, Shigeru, I'm sure we'll be able to meet again, then." The man said, with the words only audible to himself.
"I'll be sure to chase you to the depths of hell... Zeus."

Author's Note: Well then, here is Chapter 5 of Shuugo Sentai Shinkaiger all done and dusted! This chapter was definitely shorter than I expected, but at least we're able to finally see Zeus taking action against the Shinkaigers by deploying Apollo into a more "field commander"-like role, something which wasn't done under Hera's orders. As a result, we then begin to see how powerful the members of M.Y.T.H.O.S really are. Artemis also appears after being mentioned for a bit in previous chapters, but she's only starting to gain much focus in the next chapter. Everything is eventually going to take the story to its second arc, but we're trying to build up on that. We also have another form change, but this time, the medals used are of the same type with Jolteon and Galvantula, so who could be fitting to introduce the mix-and-match gimmick other than our genius himself?
We also have N from the Unova games being properly mentioned into the story and appearing right at the end of this chapter, specifically; he was the mysterious caller who only had appeared in the previous chapters via verbal cameos and my friend had the bright idea for me to drop a hint by apparently having N be called "Hades" in some way or another in the last chapter. I wouldn't elaborate further about him though, as he's not the only one whom is going to come to Kalos and his connections to Zeus and the others is something for you to find out about.
