Very short but cute –I hope!
Neo-Queen Serenity sat on her throne with King Endymion next to her on his, holding his hand. Frank nervously walked in and bowed low to both of them. "I heard you called for me?" He couldn't figure out why he, a small local Judge, would have been brought to their attention.
"Do you recognize us?" Serenity asked, smiling.
He laughed, "you're king and queen of the world. Yes. I do."
"I mean, you met us before –years ago, do you remember?"
"No… Did I? Where?"
She stood from her throne, and he felt genuinely humbled that she honored him that way. He bowed and asked, "how may I serve you?"
She took his hand in hers and encouraged him to stand. "You did back then. I wrote your name down, knowing what was coming. I have looked forward to this day."
He looked at Endymion in confusion and then back to her. "How?"
"Our names were Serena and Darien, and we eloped when we were younger. You conducted our wedding."
"What?!" He looked at her in total shock.
She smiled at him kindly. "We are raising you to a national Judge. You and your sweet family now have a place in the palace. You married the King and Queen of the world. From the moment you did, your path changed. This was always our intention."
"I don't know what to say."
Endymion laughed. "Just say thank you –your children now will be taught by royal tutors both here and on Nemesis."
Rosa, Frank's wife, kissed him desperately when she heard what had happened. She was so proud her husband was so respected. She believed he more than earned it. And she hoped to be able to meet the queen.
