As Falco flies along side Hullvard's Unit, he looks over to find a place of interest. Shortly after, He notices the ship that crash landed; he then breaks away from the group and tries to find the closest spot to land. A couple of minuets after landing, he reaches the ship. He walks in from the back and is greeted with dead bodies, some recently stripped of gadgets, guns and other valuables.
"Christ...Didn't think it would be this bad" falco says. He takes notice of the two Turric Soilders on the floor and walks towards them, he kneels down and sees a blinking blue button on one of their helmets. The moment he presses it, static is heard until a voice follows up shortly after. "We're handling the starfox team and the CDF up here but some got through! All infantry retreat to the southwest base of operations and prepare fo-" the voice says before it gets cut off by static interference.
"So that's where you rats are held up huh.." falco says. "Falco talk to me, what's going on?" Fox says through Falcos ear piece. "I got the location of where these bozos are, a base southwest of here" falco says as he leaves the ship and heads back to his. "I'll let Hullvard know where to send his men so they can clean em ou-" fox says before getting interrupted by Falco. "What do I look like goin in with a couple of rookies? Tell his men to bring some mops so they can clean up after I'm through!" falco says.
"Falco no! I told you to stick to the pla-.." Fox says before hearing the sound of Falco cutting the transmission. "Falco? Falco!? Dammit! Arrogant bastard.." fox says in frustration as he continues to avoid heavy fire from enemy ships. Meanwhile, Nathan and kitman make their way through an abandoned building to get at a higher vantage point. "I dont see anyone of ours in sight, not from here anyway" kitman says. "I'm sure general pepper had to send in more troops, unless he's expecting us to get out of this alone" Nathan says while looking around cautiously.
Roaring thrusters are heard from behind them, which causes the two to turn around. "Looks like we're fixin to find out" kitman says. As the ships get closer, they are able to recognize that they are friendly's. Six ships completely speeds past them while one slows down and hovers above them. "This is Jekil 6, commander said you two needed a Lift." The pilot says through Nathan and kitmans earpiece. "That's puttin it hella lightly my friend, any new intel for us?" Nathan responds.
"The Turric has a base southwest from here, we were ordered to pick you two up and commence a full assault with the remaining-" The pilot says before getting cut off by a plasma bomb hittingthe planes left wing. As the plane spins out of control, three Turric ships speed by in pursuit to stop the rest of the CDF squadron. "Shit! I'm hit I'm hit! You two clear the the roof now!" The pilot yells.
The ship crashes on the roof of the building that kitman and Nathan were on, causing them to get knocked off onto a lower building. "Gah! mother fuckers!" Kitman yells as she coughs and struggles to get up. Nathan is a littledazed but doesnt feel much pain due to the stim he took earlier, he helps kitman up and takes one last look at the Turric ships, "son of a bitch..We need to get to them quick help take that base" he says.
"There's no way we'd make it in time on foot, dont know how far it is exactly but im sure as hell it ain't walking distance.." kitman says. Nathan looks down and sees a number of makeshift hover bikes near a crowd of civilians that are looking at the crashed cdf ship, "Then we dont walk" he says while keeping his eye on the bikes. Kitman looks where Nathan is looking and notices the bikes as well, especially the condition they're in. "*sigh* It can never be anything that looks stable can it..." she says in an annoyed tone.
Meanwhile at the Turric base, infantry solders are preparing to stand their ground against the CDF. Falco is currently hiding behind cover while looking for an opening inside the building, as the rest of the Turric infantry arrives on transport trucks; he takes the opportunity to find a more secluded entrance. In the building, the soilder that Sebastian kept alive makes there way to the command center. The moment they get there, they are greeted with there commander looking over a holographic map of a different planet. The commander is a tall female panther, wearing all black mercenary like attire.
"Commander with all due respect, shouldn't I be out there with the others instead of waisting time here?" They say. The commander turns around and gives them an intimidating stare, she walks toward them slowly. "State your name...soilder" she says. "Vera Munso..ma'am" Vera says while backing up slightly. "Vera...your team was KIA yet you were the only one to remain, why is it that you were the one to walk?" The commander asks. "Are you implying something ma'am?" Vera says in a confused tone. "I'm implying that I didn't trust you before we embarked here and I dont trust you now, and a ruthless mercenary keeping you alive out of everyone else only has strengthen my suspicions" the commander says.
Vera tenses up and slowly lays her hand on her blaster holster while not taking her eyes off of the commander, "I assure you ma'am, I'm fighting for the same cause as everyone. The mercenary simply did not see me as a threat...reasons for that however, I'm unsure of" she says. "Oh, we'll definitely see about that. Defend the main entrance with the majority of infantry, I will most definitely have my eye you...dismissed" the commander says while walking back to the holo map, Vera turns around and walks out the room while looking over her shoulder.
Meanwhile, falco enters the building through the second floor window, he looks over the balcony to see the main area of the first floor nearly packed with Turric soilders. "You fellas seem to be in a hurry.." he says quietly. He reaches behind his back to grab his rifle, he checks how much explosive mines he as before extending the barrel. He shoots atleast five of them in different spots, all of which drill into what they hit and proceeded to blink red. He then walks further down the balcony cautiously checks the door to his left before going through.
Meanwhile, the rest of the star fox team as well as Hullvard and half his men are starting to lessen the Turric's numbers. "Anything on Falco yet fox!?" Peppy asks while pursuing a Turric ship. "Aside from his life threatening ego, not a clue!" Fox responds. Commander Hullvard appears on fox's screen yet again, "Fox! My men are about to reach the base but I fear they wont have enough air support to cover the Infantry, can you help?" Hullvard says.
"what about these guys?" Fox says after he destroys a Turric ship and avoiding more enemy fire. "Me the pilots I have here will handle them accordingly, if push comes to shove; we retreat on planet and deal with every single one of these stupid bastards along side ya" Hullvard responds. "Sounds like you're taking their presence personally commander" fox says jokingly. "People like them are the reason I decide to sit my ass in this cramped cockpit instead of retirin', its always personal kid. Now go on, we'll take it from here!" Hullvard responds.
Fox smirks and nods at his screen, "Alright team, let's get on planet to help Hullvard's guys...Hopefully before Falco Does something stupid" he says. He then breaks away from the fight, which makes Krystal, peppy and slippy immediately follow.
