Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed last chapter, and had a great holiday! Anyway, so yeah I have a poll on my page. I honestly can't figure out how to view it though and link it here, sorry But either go there and try to vote or you can private message me about the chapter that explains why Goku couldn't be wished back, why Gohana actually trains now, why chichi is fine with it all, stuff like that. No real time limit but it most people just say no ill do it in context if needed. But I already have the entire thing planned for either way. Lol
Anyway as usual I don't own the characters, except whoever isn't in DBZ to begin with.
Gohana woke up a before her alarm even woke up, a few hours in fact. Looking at her alarm clock, it only read three am. Way to early to wake up. It was even too early for if she would normally work out. Gohana just sighed and sat up.
Hugging her knees to her chest, Gohana just sat there burying her head into her arms. She was trying to think about what to do today, should she even go to school even? She already knew everything they were trying to teach, so it wasn't like she would be missing out on anything.
Grabbing her phone again she looked at it hoping that Erasa had sent her something very late. But as she stared at it, it showed nothing. Putting it back down, she just laid back down on her bed and stared at the ceiling some more. Yesterday still played out in her mind, and it didn't do too well for her. She didn't really enjoy not knowing what will happen next, seeing as how major an issue this was. Usually she didn't even mind if or when people found out about their abilities. So why would this really be any different. It was because they were friends and she had a hard time dealing with loss. It first was when her dad died protecting and saving her when she was four, and then again after Cell when King Yemma forbad them from wishing Goku back with Parunga on New Namek. And now potentially losing a friend brought it up again. Although at least for once it wasn't from them being killed so that did help out a little bit.
Gohana laid on her bed sulking to herself almost the entire time up until she had to get ready for school. Her mother even gave her the option to stay home today after yesterday. Even though it was so rare that her mother even gave her any type of leeway when it came to school anyway and she just couldn't stand staying home today. She had to go to school at least to just deal with whatever consequences came from what she told Erasa. But the real issue is would Erasa even be at school today. And what would happen if he was there as well. What if Jake and he's buddies that are not in the hospital?
'Help me out today Dad.'
Landing on the roof of the school as usual, Gohana opened up the door and headed down the stairs. She still had a little bit of time before class but not as much as she usually did. Walking the halls, she couldn't help but notice that she kept getting weird looks. At first she didn't know what they could have found out about other than her beating up Jake and his friends. But then it suddenly dawned on her that she had accidentally let it out she was technically a princess of the Fire Kingdome. Trying to avoid people's gazes, Gohana just walked straight to her class. She could already sense that Lime was there, but couldn't tell about much of anyone else without really focusing and meditating.
Gohana soon stopped and just leaned against the wall. Ignoring everyone that went by her and even a few of them decided to stop and stare before heading back off again. She could have sworn it looked like they wanted to say something but were too scared to do so. She didn't get why but it might have something to do with a rumor about her beating up the local school bully. Or more likely her little outburst yesterday.
"You came to school today." Lime flatly said as she walked up to her.
"Well yeah, I can't stand staying at home today. But how did you know I was here? My energy should be low enough to blend in."
Shaking her head and laughing slightly. "Not a chance Gohana. I can tell when something's on your mind, you can't lower your energy to a normal person's level. It's right now just at your normal resting strength. Either way, we need to talk a bit so you're caught up. Erasa called me last night and I think you should know what we talked about. I need to know what you two talked about as well so I'm in the loop as well."
They waited a little bit until more of the student got into their respective classes as school was about to start, and once the hallway was a little more deserted, they started making their way back to the roof, but they didn't get too far. Gohana was too busy listening to what Lime had to say she almost didn't even register that someone ran right into her as they rounded the corner. Looking down, of all people she didn't expect to even see them today, even though she hoped she did.
"Erasa, are you alright?" Lime asked offering her a hand to help her up.
"Yeah I'm fine." Erasa said softly rubbing her nose and taking Lime's hand to help her stand up. She looked over back up at Gohana, now just holding her nose now as a small tear formed in the corner of her eye.
"What the heck Gohana, you feel like a solid wall of steel." Erasa commented as her nose was in pain. Luckily it wasn't bleeding as she pulled her hand away to check, but it didn't change the fact that it still hurt like crazy.
"Um, actually we were heading up to the roof actually. If you'd like to join." Gohana said, sighing with relief that Erasa didn't seem scared of her at all.
With a light nod, Erasa just kept hold of her nose for a bit as they kept walking to the roof where Gohana entered from. Looking around, Gohana checked that no one else was up there but them so they could talk freely. It helped the door was really noisy when it was being opened so they would have plenty of warning should someone else come up.
"Erasa, I'm really sorry about yesterday, if I scared you I mean. I'm not ever sure how to explain stuff like this to people." Gohana just started and Erasa just waved it off a bit.
"No, not scared. I would say I'm more shocked than anything else! I mean, as a kid me and V and Sharpy all believed this stuff because we saw them in some past tournaments and such! But to see it in person and realize all of it is truly real. I don't know I guess it was just too much to take in all of a sudden. Not to mention Jake attacking us yesterday." Erasa said looking down a bit.
"She filled me in on basically what you said to her Gohana," Lime started. "She asked me if I knew what ki and Saiyan's are. But she couldn't really repeat much of what else. I figured you could fill me in on what she knows so far."
Erasa just nodded and then looked over to Gohana. She didn't know why she didn't ask this last night, as she just needed someone to talk to and she assumed that Gohana had told her this since she trained her.
"Lime, you know all of this already?" Erasa asked just for confirmation, which she nodded back at her. She wasn't sure why she didn't make the connection earlier but Gohana seemed really comfortable talking about this with Lime with the way she just opened the conversation with. Looking down at the ground deep in thought, she just searched for a good place to start. She wanted to know more, and she didn't mind being late. Her parents had already contacted the school saying she will either be late, or not be in today. So that was already covered.
"Ok, first off I have to ask. How can you do those kinds of things?"
"Well, honestly you just train for it really. It really helps if you already have someone that knows what they are doing, like I did. So after that it is just a matter of getting better at it and getting stronger." Gohana answered, as it felt like a huge weight was lifted off her.
"So your saying that anyone can use ki?" which Gohana just simply nodded to.
Looking back and forth between Gohana and Lime, Erasa just stood in thought. Could she possibly ask to learn? She wasn't a fighter no, but she did keep in pretty good shape. She could keep up with some of the more fit athletes in school, if she really tried. So why not add ki to it. Even if she didn't know what that actually meant doing.
"So, what does Ki allow you to do?"
Gohana didn't really know where to start really. There was so much that you could do with it. Even if they were mostly just in a few basic categories, the end result when using it was vast, even just among her friends. No telling what other alien races out there could do.
"Well, at the most basic every living thing has ki. Even rocks and the planet. So I guess you could say it's necessary for life. Because when you die, you can't feel them anymore." Gohana started and Erasa already looked a little bit lost. Erasa just looked a little bit shocked and amazed, but she was still confused on what it was really. But she was mostly following it a little bit and just nodded.
"As I was saying, everything has it. So even you could learn to use it. But as for its uses, well the first and foremost is you can manipulate it and bring it out into ki balls." Gohana said holding her palm up again and one again. But unlike yesterday where she did it just for show, this one actually had a lot of power in it. Gohana and Lime both picked up that Erasa slightly shuddered a little bit just looking at it.
"I don't know why but that looks dangerous." Erasa just said staring at it.
"That's because if misused it is extremely dangerous." Lime filled her in, leaving out the fact that the ball in Gohana's hands right now was strong enough to cause massive amounts of damage despite it was small.
Cutting the energy flow to the orb, if vanished and Gohana relaxed her arm again at her side. Erasa was now looking back and forth between them again and Gohana was curious as to why.
"Um, if you have a question about anything you can just ask it."
"So, why doesn't the world know about you all?" Erasa asked.
"Oh, well…" Gohana looked down a little bit.
"Long story short Erasa, after Gohana defeated Cell her father wasn't allowed to be wished back and Gohana still feels that basically she killed him. Apparently everyone thought about revealing everything to the world once they learned that Hercule was lying. But Gohana didn't want to. Although to be more accurate, mentally and emotionally she couldn't handle it. So as a result, they kept to themselves." Lime explained for Gohana knowing the answer.
"Wait, wish?"
"Yeah, there are things called Dragon Balls. Basically there are seven and if you collect them all they grant two wishes. Even brining people back to life." Grabbing her necklace and taking it off and handing it over to Erasa, Gohana continued. "This is Shenron. He's the dragon that grants them."
Taking it carefully, Erasa really looked at the necklace. She had seen it briefly the day Gohana started in the locker room, but now she was really taking a good look at it. And she could see a long coiled dragon, and there were what looked like seven orbs as well with one in its mouth. Handing it back to Gohana who put it back on, Erasa just thought deeply about what she just heard. People can be really wished back from the dead? How could something like that be possible? Then again, she was standing in front of two people who could use Ki, that the world things are fake and nothing but tricks. And Gohana even said that her father was an alien, those Saiyan's. Wouldn't that make her half alien?
"Ok, so you can fly, and make those ki blast things. Is that also how you turn blond? Using ki?" Erasa asked.
"Well, yes and no." Gohana said rubbing her neck nervously. "It does need ki to trigger, but it isn't something that you can just learn. It's a genetic thing. It's called a Super Saiyan." Gohana said and demonstrated by suddenly transforming easily. Her hair was not tied back this morning and her hair that usually hung down now stood up a bit. Her already gravity defying hair was now even more gravity defying.
"So, those golden fighters at the Cell games." Erasa started.
"The one that fought Cell first was my dad. The other two, the black haired one is Vegita. The guy with purple hair is his son Trunks. And obviously I was the young girl with them." Gohana answered.
"So the others with you guys are not Saiyan's?" Erasa asked.
Gohana just shook her head.
"Saiyan's are almost extinct. The only full blooded Saiyan, at least that we know of, is Vegita. The rest of us are half Saiyan's."
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" Erasa looked mortified at hearing that her friend is pretty much the last of almost her entire race.
"Hey it's alright. Really! My dad didn't really know he was a Saiyan until I was about four years old. Besides, we may be half Saiyan but we are also half human. But we are earthlings first and foremost." Gohana explained.
Erasa just took this all in and looked deep in thought. She really wasn't even sure what else to really ask, mostly because she had no concept of what to ask. How could she find out what she wanted to know if she didn't even have a frame of reference of all this.
"Maybe we can talk more about this later this weekend at your place." Erasa said which Gohana just nodded. "But before we go, can I ask. Do you plan on telling Sharpner and Videl?"
Gohana was a little taken back at this and she wasn't even sure how to answer that. Of course she wanted to, but at least with Sharpner she was fine telling. It was Videl that she wasn't too sure how to tell her. She keeps denying that she was Saiyako numerous times, and even as Saiyako she even denies being Gohana. That would be a massive slap in the face, and Videl already had trust issues as it was. She would hate her for lying to her so much.
"I'm not sure how to tell Videl." Gohana just answered.
"Well I think you should. As a kid she and Sharpner were fascinated with those fighters in the Tenkaichi Budokai, they even kept pretending to do this kamekameka thing. Something Master Roshi was supposed to be the only person who could do it." She then looked at both Gohana and Lime. "Can…you two do that?"
"It's called the Kamehameha wave. And yes, I can do it. Lime here," Gohana said looking back at her friend. "Well, somewhat. She only just recently learned it but she's getting much better at it." Gohana said smiling and Lime smiled at the admiration of her teacher. Even if she never really practiced it in front of her, she knew Gohana could sense her doing better in practice.
"You wouldn't believe how badly Videl wanted to learn that. Sharpner as well." Erasa said smiling a bit.
"Anyway, can we just end that for today? I don't really know what else to ask."
"Yeah, honestly in a bit, maybe once Sharpner and Videl know, I'll tell you all everything." Gohana nodded.
By the time they got into class, the bell had rung long before. Class was about halfway through at this point. But no one really batted an eye the moment they walked in and Videl rushed them. Even the teacher didn't mind and just stopped the lesson as it was just a review anyway. Although everything was cut short as they were in class and everyone was staring at them and they didn't feel comfortable continuing this until later. Sitting at their seats, the teacher had tried to continue going over the material but she couldn't as everyone kept stealing glances towards them, and she had to do something about it.
"All right class, I know you all want to ask Mrs. Son something but for now this is not the time. This is class and you need to pay attention and respect her privacy." She informed the class, even though she wanted to know as well after Gohana's outburst yesterday spread across the school.
Gohana just sat there confused as to what she meant though. How could she know what the others were thinking? So when the whole class just looked forward and not at her, Gohana just sheepishly raised her hand as the teacher continued until she noticed her.
"Yes Mrs. Son?"
"Um, may I ask. Um what is it everyone wants to ask me?" she asked.
Videl just face palmed herself at Gohana's stupid question. This didn't go unmissed by Gohana and she just looked confused at her.
"What?"
"Sheesh Gohana, for someone so smart you sure can be really dumb sometimes." Videl casually said which seemed to surprise everyone else around them and made a few of them laugh as well.
Everyone else just stared at Gohana, but no one really seemed to want to say anything. Gohana just looked around the room and being the center of attention all of a sudden was getting to her until finally she just took a deep sigh.
"Ok, will someone please just tell me what the heck is going on?" she nearly shouted wanting to get to the bottom of this.
"Is it true that you're really a Princess? Like a real life Princess!" one of the girls in front of her asked.
"Wait, is that what everyone has been staring at me for the moment I got to school today?" Gohana asked, having forgotten how fast word gets around at a high school. Mostly everyone just agreed with the girl, and Gohana was surprised that just about everyone wanted to know the same thing.
"Mrs. Son, you don't have to answer but I do have a different question. I have decided to skip the lesson on the Fire Kingdom, but would you please be kind enough to come up front and answer our questions about the Kingdom?"
"Wait, you want me to teach the class?"
"Well, more like a Q and A to be honest. If what you say really is true, then we have a major gap in our history and as a historian I am truly curious."
Gohana wasn't really sure what to say so she just shrugged a little bit and then got up, making her way to the front of the class. Once she got there though, she wished she didn't as everyone was staring right at her.
"Ok, um so what first?" Gohana just asked but everyone seemed nervous and Gohana instantly knew why.
"Fine. Technically speaking, yes I really am the Fire Kingdom Princess. My grandfather is the Ox king." Gohana said and suddenly everyone seemed far less nervous and many even shot their arms up for more question.
For the entire class, Gohana just tried to answer whatever she was able to answer. Truth be told though, she really didn't know a whole lot about the history of it as much but she tried to answer their question as best as she could. It seemed just getting the Princess thing out of the way allowed everyone to get a bit more comfortable asking more, even though many of the questions at first had to do with her being a princess. More than anyone though, it was the teacher that seemed to be asking more questions, and she even was taking a lot of notes as Gohana talked.
Gohana had to admit it was a rather interesting experience, teaching a class like this. She never really thought too much about this before since she was little. After Cell, and then her mother being fine with her training, Gohana mostly focused on studies and getting stronger for future threats, not a job after school. Then again she already worked for Bulma at Capsule Corp anyway. But teaching was somewhat fun. Even if she didn't really want to talk much she didn't stop answering what she could. She did have to leave out a number of things though that involved her and her friends though.
Once the bell rang, Gohana was a little relieved that she was off the hook now. Hopefully the next class would be better and she wouldn't need to explain much of anything. Unfortunately that wasn't the case at all because in the next few classes, Gohana just kept being asked almost the same thing. It was actually starting to get on her nerves at this point because suddenly that's all anyone seemed to care about. It helped that Sharpner and Erasa were so used to shooing off people from Videl, that they just did the same to her, even Videl kept telling people to leave her alone.
Gohana sat against the tree as she just sighed with how annoying today has been. Lime and Videl just sat there and waited for Sharpner and Erasa to return with their food. Gohana just sat there looking up at the sky, and Lime just took her food out. Videl was used to waiting for Gohana's food to arrive but she noticed and followed Lime's lead. She kept staring at Gohana though, and she wasn't sure what to say to her. But to her she should know exactly what to say. Of all people she was the only other person at school constantly under scrutiny and question, and here was Gohana going through the same thing but she couldn't find anything to say. She may not know the details, but she just had to think of something to say to help her friend out.
"Hey don't worry about it Gohana. Eventually they will get over it and stop it." She tried.
"Yeah I know." Gohana sighed and closed her eyes. "But honestly I just don't get why they care. So I'm a princess, who cares. It doesn't mean anything to them because they don't live in the Fire Kingdom villages." She said which visibly caused Videl to just stare in shock. "I mean the people in the Kingdom yeah I get it's a big deal to them, but that's because my family actually have gone through a lot to help them out. Why does everyone else care? I haven't done anything for them."
"Well, I umm." Videl searched for an answer. "Honestly I don't really know why they do that. I've asked the same thing really. That's one of the reasons I constantly put myself in danger helping the police. Everyone gives me things without a second thought, when I didn't even do anything. Don't belive my dad did either, at least not against Cell that is."
This seemed to actually help Gohana feel a bit better about her current situation in that she could ask Videl for advice dealing with this, but the last part caught her attention.
"Videl, what do you mean by that?" Gohana asked finally reaching into her backpack for her food capsule.
"Well, you already know I don't believe my dad beat Cell, but that delivery girl did. But everyone give him stuff thinking he did. So I get special treatment by everyone just because I'm his daughter. I didn't do anything to deserve anything special, so that's why I started helping out the police in the first place. If they are going to just give me stuff, I'd rather give something back." Videl answered and then took a bite from her sandwich.
Gohana just looked at Videl with some new found respect. Almost everyone else she ever meet outside her group and Videls' group only cared about getting ahead and were greedy about it if need be. Just looking at the crime rate in the city was proof enough.
"But then again, my dad does hold plenty of fundraisers to help those that need it so really I can't really say he's greedy with it. He does give back a lot, and does offer his time to help with things around the world. So I guess at this point he could say he deserves it now, I guess." Videl said with a soft smile.
Releasing her food from the capsule, Gohana started eating her usual amount of food. Although at this point Videl was a little bit used to it, it still didn't cease to amaze her how much Gohana could eat yet keep her lean agile figure. It just didn't freak her out anymore like it did the first few times.
"Man Gohana even I don't eat that much in a day!" Sharpner said as he and Erasa walked up holding food for the four of them. They didn't even both getting Gohana food as she was usually set, and ate their leftovers anyway.
"Hey, what took you so long?" Videl softly scolded them for taking longer than usual to get their food.
"Hey, don't blame us, blame everyone that kept stopping us asking about Gohana." Sharpner said as he handed both Lime and Videl their trays of food by the time Gohana already finished her first bowl of food.
"Sorry about that guys." Gohana said wiping her mouth off from the food.
"Hey don't worry about it. Really we are actually pretty used to it thanks to Videl here." Erasa said waving it off. "Not that that's a bad thing or anything Videl!"
"Hey, don't worry about it. Honestly for once it is a little nice not being the cause of it. Even though I don't like people bothering my friends." Videl said starting on her food.
After earlier, Gohana was deep in thought about Erasa's words. Maybe she should just tell them right now? She already had to tell Erasa earlier about a lot of things, and maybe just doing it all in one go would be better. And Erasa even said that she should tell them in the first place. Even the visual image of Videl as a kid trying a Kamehameha wave did actually cause Gohana to chuckle to herself softly.
"What's so funny?" Lime asked.
"Oh nothing." Gohana tried to deflect the question.
They all just continued to eat their lunch, with Videl and Sharpner chatting together about a big fight that was coming up for them soon. But Lime, Erasa, and Gohana just ate in silence. Erasa really wanted to ask something but knew better until they all found out. Gohana was just happy that she could happily eat her food in peace.
The calmness of now was actually a relaxing break given yesterday and the worry about Erasa reacting, added to the amount of attention she was getting from fellow students. But the relaxing open air and scent of home cooked food was really helping.
"Hey Gohana, do you have any plans this weekend?" Sharpner asked causing Gohana to think about it for a second.
"Oh, um actually my mom asked if you guys want to come stay for the weekend, kinda like a camping trip I guess. But at my place." Gohana said wiping her mouth again.
"Oh man how long has it been since we all went camping?" Sharpner said excitedly. "Count me in!"
"Out there huh, yeah sounds like it would be fun." Videl nodded. "You've been to our places, would be really nice to see yours and get out of the city actually! I'm sure my dad will be fine with it. He's out of town this weekend anyway."
"I don't think my parents will have an issue either with it." Sharpner said with a smile.
Lime looked at Gohana a little confused as to why Chichi would invite them all to their place, knowing how uncontrollable Goten could be around new people. He would always say things that he shouldn't have because he either was too excited, or just didn't know not to. Looking towards Gohana, she mouthed out her question as to why Chichi would invite them. Gohana just sighed and pointed towards Sharpner, causing Lime to nearly choke on her food from suddenly laughing. Luckily she cleared the food quickly and was able to breath again and just couldn't help but laugh a little bit. It was always funny hearing Chichi try to get Gohana into a proper young lady, but now hearing she's trying to get Sharpner and Gohana together was too much.
"I'm alright, I promise." She said as everyone was looking at her to make sure she was fine.
The rest of the school day didn't really change much up at all for Gohana, many people kept talking about her being a Princess, and after lunch she just let people ask her. She didn't bother trying to avoid people any more. Seemed better to just deal with it directly and let it finish sooner rather than later. It surprised Lime a lot as it was still very new to her seeing Gohana react to normal people. Usually she would just try to avoid people as she was naturally a little bit shy, as long as no one was in danger. Then she was probably the scariest thing she had ever seen if someone was in danger.
Surprisingly to Gohana's amazement, the more she just answered people, the less people would come up to her. She guessed that word was spreading from she might be a princess to she is a princess. It did help because after school Gohana just got odd looks from people, usually jealousy from other girls. But luckily none really talked bad about her and that did make her feel better.
They figured out when to show up to Gohana's place on Friday, they decided to just go to her place after school. As they slightly parted ways, Sharpner, Lime and Videl went to his boxing club, while Gohana and Erasa headed off as Erasa had a few more questions. And since Gohana was a little hungry they headed to a rather popular restaurant.
"So what got you into all of this anyway?" Erasa asked as they sat down.
Gohana still looked around and seemed a tad nervous. She didn't understand why Erasa would pick such a crowded spot to talk about this.
"What's wrong?"
"Um, don't you think this place is too busy?"
"Well that's the point! If it were slow and quiet anyone could potentially pick up our conversation. But since it's kind of noisy in here and your stomach is probably louder than many people here anyway, you shouldn't have to worry about it." Erasa explained which got a slightly odd look from Gohana. "Can you pick up what people are talking about in all this?" Erasa asked with a slight hint of amazement.
"Huh, you mean you can't?"
"Well that answers that. I can just barely hear what you're saying to be honest. So no one else would be able to hear what you say either."
"Well if you say so."Gohana started. "Well to be honest I didn't really have much of a choice. I was kidnapped by my uncle when I was four. My dad and Mr. Piccolo came and rescued me, but we learned that there were more coming. That's when we found out my dad and I am Saiyan's. So I ended up learning about all of this, and then a bunch of stuff happened over the years. Up until after Cell actually, I never had much of a normal life in any way."
"So that was that alien, I mean Saiyan invasion?" Erasa tried to clarify quickly.
"Yeah. Honestly you can say alien if you want. There are other races out there as well, not just Saiyans." Gohana casually said which got a wide eyed Erasa across the table.
"So, there's more out there huh?" Erasa flatly said.
Gohana decided now probably wouldn't be the best time to mention Namek and that she had spent a good few months in space when she was a kid, but it didn't seem to really throw her off too much.
"Soooo, Mr. Piccolo?" Erasa continues the conversation after a brief moment of silence.
"Yeah, he was my first teacher!" Gohana said smiling. "The training was really rough, but in the end I helped a bit. But it was my first fight so I was really scared."
"So you don't get scared anymore?"
"Well, the last time I actually had to fight to save the Earth was against Cell, and I was terrified. Since then though I actually learned to fight and enjoy it a little bit now. It made me understand dad a little bit, especially that last thing before he died. Not as much as my dad did, but I don't mind it much anymore after something I was told." Referring to 16's speech to her that helped her trigger her ascended Super Saiyan state.
"And you were only like what, ten years old? Man I can't imagine a life like that. So if you didn't have a choice about it when you were younger, what made you now choose to stick with all of this?"
"Well after Cell, I spiraled into an extreme state of depression to be honest over my dad's death. And when we found out mom was pregnant with Goten and Raina, well it helped me break that a little bit and I started training again almost the moment I was told because I wanted Goten and Raina to have a chance at a normal life, assuming they wanted one."Gohana looked down a bit. "But I still have a lot of issues though because of it."
"May I ask what?" Erasa carefully asked.
"Well, I have an extreme fear of losing people I care about now, even more so than I had as a kid. But the few times during training, when my teacher told me to imagine everyone being killed to help me push further, I get hyper violent. I don't fully loss control of myself, but I do loss control of my power and I can't handle it too well. So were hoping that it never comes to that again. We never tried that again after I almost killed him accidentally the last time about three years."
Erasa just looked at Gohana and she couldn't help but feel a little sad for her. She must have a hard life, but that explains why her demeanor was so different when she was in danger yesterday versus the time it was just her against Jake.
"So the thought of those you care for being hurt causes you to go berserk then?" Which Gohana just nodded and it looked like Erasa was conflicted with herself.
"Erasa, do you have something you want to say?" Gohana asked.
"I promised I wouldn't say this to anyone, but seeing as it's you and involves you." Erasa started and Gohana suddenly seemed focused on her.
"Do you consider us close friends?" Erasa started and Gohana just nodded obviously confused. "You really should train Videl then. Recently, and she can't figure out why, many thugs have a grudge against her and try ganging up on her. And it's scaring her. She's never really had a situation she couldn't handle but she knows it's only a matter of time. She's been injured a number of times lately."
"Then why doesn't she stop!" Gohana asked worried.
"Honestly I don't know. I asked her that and she couldn't really answer why, other than she felt like she had to. But the few times you save her, a few of those times she was praying that you would show up."
"Wait, she constantly yells at me as Saiyako. Almost every time I help her actually."
"Trust me Gohana, that's her ego getting the better of her. She can't come out and say that she really needs your help now, or she wants you to train her. But there's something stopping her. And it…" Erasa stopped herself right there as she couldn't tell Gohana Videl was sure she was Saiyako. "I can't say the next part, sorry."
"Don't worry too much about it. It's fine. I'm keeping secrets from you all as well, even though I'm telling you. "
There was a moment of silence now and Erasa wasn't sure what to even ask now after that. Gohana was just to nervous and didn't want to say anything without being asked because it seemed to help her out a little bit in the end. Erasa sat back and thought about something, how she can do all these super human feats of strength.
"So, may I ask just how strong are you?"
Gohana tried to think of a way to explain her true strength, but even if she transformed and powered up to her absolute maximum she couldn't comprehend how to even compare that. Even without powering up and just in her resting base form like she was now, she still couldn't even figure it out. Maybe she could compare herself to maybe Yamcha or Tien? She knew how to compare her strength to theirs a bit better, but she didn't even know how to compare theirs to normal peoples. Lime had even almost forgotten how to compare her new strength to a normal person's as it was so normal for her now. And she could almost even keep up with Tien thanks to constantly sparring with Trunks, Goten and Raina all the time.
"Honestly, I don't even know." Gohana answered honestly. That wasn't good enough for Erasa though. She really wanted to know just how strong, or at least a ball park.
"Can you try comparing yourself to when you were younger?" she offered which seemed to help with Gohana's sudden facial expression.
"Um, ok well before I started training I was maybe as strong as a grown adult. Well maybe more thanks to being part Saiyan. Then after training for a year I was able to help against Vegita and Nappa. I was flung through rocks and such and that didn't kill me so there's that. Really hurt though. Um, let's see." She thought for a moment to herself for Namek so she didn't mention it just yet. "About a year later I was maybe five times stronger than the fight when I was five. I stayed about the same I'd say for that year and then after that…well we learned about Cell and during those three years I got even stronger. Then for a final year of training for Cell pushed me to be stronger than even my Dad. And you saw him fighting Cell."
"Wait, that would make you eleven when you fought Cell. And that was seven years ago but you just turned seventeen. Where does the extra year come from?" Erasa asked confused having kept track on her fingers.
"There, is a special room where a year can pass in only a day outside." Gohana said which Erasa just nodded and took it at face value. Gohana was actually very amazed that she could keep up with that so much. She didn't even realize that she added that up counting the almost year in the Time Chamber.
"Either way yeah I don't really know how much stronger I was. Umm, well.." Gohana thought for a moment, trying to think of something to compare everything too when something from Namek hit her.
"Well, we fought someone and it was rumored his maximum power would register over a million on a special device that could gauge someone's power level, which is a measure of someone's Ki strength. But honestly gauges like those are totally useless. But anyway, Dad beat him just fine, and I fought him as well when I was a lot weaker. Cell, well he was so much stronger at his most powerful. Lets see, 19 was maybe twice as strong as Frieza based on dad and Vegita fighting him, and Cell was maybe at least ten times stronger than that. So maybe twenty times stronger? But I managed to beat him since I was stronger. And, now I'm maybe three times stronger than I was then? To be honest I have no clue how to compare it as there was so much of a time gap between them, and each time I had to fight they were so much stronger than who we fought beforehand they seemed like nothing. So to be totally honest, I have absolutely no idea how to tell you how strong I was if you can't even sense energy. Lime didn't get it either until she learned to sense power levels and I just powered up to my maximum" Gohana said. Just learning to control her ascended Super Saiyan state caused her to have a massive power boost, and constantly training with Vegita over the years has caused them both to really push beyond what they were years ago thanks to their Zenkai boosts.
"Ok, so power levels. Right. You said everything has ki, so does that mean human's have a power level as well?" she asked curiously.
"Um, well yeah. Bulma managed to fix one of those things, and she noticed that most humans were around a power level of around 3 on average. "
"Oh, right…three is a normal person…and you're…like a billion…" Erasa stuttered trying to wrap her mind around someone being that strong.
"Don't worry about power levels. That's not all there is to it, not to mention we can raise and lower it at will so a ki reader is useless. But either way that's a rough explanation that I can think off to compare how strong I am to a normal person." Gohana said waving it off.
For a while Gohana and Erasa chatted a little bit. Oddly enough Gohana realized that she was right about no one able to hear them as their waiter was unable to fully hear them and had to ask Gohana to repeat herself, before looking confused why she ordered five dinners. But he was courteous and just took it down and didn't question her. Luckily their meal showed up soon, or at least Erasa's as Gohana's had to be brought out in three separate times which was fine with Gohana as she was able to eat every meal brought to her by the time the next round came up. Much to the amusement to Erasa, he looked shocked almost the entire time. During their time eating Gohana managed to help Erasa get a vague understanding of how powerful she really was thanks to explaining not only some of her training, but also the gravity chamber that she had at home.
She also explained a little bit about her friends that also knew of all of this. Erasa had remembered their names from Tournaments past so she could remember what they looked like. The only thing she really left out was Piccolo being King Piccolo reborn, and anything about Namek. She explained a little bit more about the Dragon Balls as well since Erasa asked a little bit about that.
By the end of lunch Erasa was once again at a loss of words. Although she didn't seem to be in shock like yesterday at all, she did noticeably look like she was a tad tired mentally. They decided to just end it for today to let her figure everything out. Gohana paid for their lunch since her share was a massive amount of the bill and they headed right out.
"So maybe this weekend, we can just keep it a relaxing weekend and not talk much about this?" Gohana asked, wanted to have at least a somewhat normal weekend with her friends.
"Yeah. Although I still think you should tell Videl. Especially about Ki. She would love to really know about all of this and how to do all of it. Not to mention I think at this point she really needs to. Could she learn?" Erasa asked as they walked towards Erasa's place.
"Even you could if you'd like." Gohana answered in a rather roundabout way.
"No thanks! Um, well maybe just so I can fly. That sounds like fun. But I'm good beyond that."
"Well I do plan on telling her. Maybe now sooner than before now that you know and you feel I must tell her." Gohana admitted. "Especially if she feels scared. Maybe I should just tell her the next time I see her as Saiyako."
"Aren't you worried about telling Sharpner as well?" Erasa asked noticing she specifically mentioned Videl.
Gohana stopped for a moment and realized that she wasn't too worried about telling Sharpner about this. Then again technically she spent more time with Videl since it was at school, when they hung out, plus as Saiyako. She had many more times she denied it to Videl, who was constantly adamant about not being Gohana, or the delivery girl. Although lately it was usually her accusing her of being, correctly, the Golden Fighter.
"Honestly, not really. I just don't know how to tell him but I am not too worried about him for some reason."
"Wait, so it's just Videl that you're worried about telling?" Erasa asked confused.
"Pretty much." Gohana answered shrugging.
Erasa looked at Gohana with a questioning expression on her face but she just sighed and decided not to push it. She didn't really think even Gohana knew why so asking wouldn't have done much of anything about it.
"Either way, I think we should call it a day for right now. It is getting a bit late right now anyway." Erasa said looking at her watch.
"Yeah, you do have a point. I probably should get home anyway."
"Hey now that I think about it, I assume that you fly home. On a fast jet liner it would take at least several hours."
"Two hours for a one way trip using the fastest one on the market, actually. And usually it only takes me about twenty five minutes, maybe half an hour if I casually fly." Gohana interrupted her already knowing what she was going to ask."
"Wow, so your faster than the fastest jet on the market." Erasa said amazed.
The two of them walked to Erasa's place, Gohana just wanting to make sure that she got home safe. Mostly it was because Jake and his buddies that were not in the hospital were not at school today and there was no telling if they were just stalking them during the day. Their ki's being so low as well didn't really help to make sure they were not around, so Gohana just decided to play it safe. By the time they got to her place, her family were already home and they welcomed her home and offered Gohana to stay for dinner to Erasa just telling them it was a bad idea. Saying their goodbyes, Gohana found a safe place to head off home, and speed off home herself.
Ok everyone, once again I hope you enjoyed this Chapter! Next time, the sudden sleepover. What will happen there with Erasa know knowing all of this?
Also, again the poll. If you could give a simple quick yes or no about a full fleshed out chapter of why Gohana trains, Goku not allowed to be brought back. I dropped hints already but I do have the entire thing figured out already. So eventually it will be explained in some way.
