Hello all, hope you enjoyed that last chapter, and this one as well! Took a while but a slight good news about the time delay, I had a lot of good ideas I wanted to put into the story and had to think about adding it in and such without really having to change anything. Was surprisingly difficult actually. o.o"
As a side note, if anyone has some good music recommendations to listen to while typing im all ears(pun intended)
Gohana climbed the slight hill with her large backpack holding many of the things that they need. The sun had not gotten to high yet as it was still rather early, but there was plenty of light. They had left the house early enough after a massive breakfast and were taking their time. Getting to the top of the hill, she saw the place they had been hiking to the last hour.
"Come on you guys, were here!" Gohana turned and shouted happily.
Videl and Erasa hurried up the last bit of hill they had and when they both got to the top they nearly gasped in shock. Gohana couldn't help but smile and then look back out at the site. The valley before them had a massive waterfall brining water from higher up from the mountains were it rained most of the time, so the water was always crystal clear. The massive peaks of the mountain, which looked like a sheer several hundred foot drop at least, stood high above the ground as it wove in and out into hills like the one they were currently standing on. The river flowed out and was surrounded by beautiful flora, many of them being brightly colored. Even some exotic birds and harmless dinosaurs could be seen around the valley.
"Holy shit places like this actually exist?" Videl said in shock, unable to take her eyes off the valley.
Erasa was also transfixed at the river valley and just agreed with Videl, even though she couldn't fully express it as she was too busy looking. Gohana just smiled at their reactions, knowing this would be the perfect place to take them for the next two days. She always came here growing up, and this was the same place she would come here when she needed some alone time.
"Man, couldn't you girls carry some of this stuff as well?" Sharpner said as he got to the top of the hill and saw for himself the valley.
"Hey, I'm carrying almost everything else to begin with Sharpy, so shush." Gohana toyed with him.
"Wait, were seriously going to be camping here? There's no way a place like this isn't private property!" Sharpner exclaimed in shock upon seeing the valley himself now.
"Well, you're somewhat right." Gohana said and just started walking down the hill towards the river.
The three of them followed Gohana quickly, although it was mostly Videl and Erasa more so as they couldn't wait to see this place up close in person. Gohana speed up her own walking speed a little bit as she could tell they were eager. Besides they were only carrying a simple backpack anyway so it wasn't like they would be too tired anyway.
Once they arrived, Erasa and Videl's eyes both looked in disbelief at where they were standing. They had only heart about places like this in stories and fairy tales. And to be actually standing in a place such as this, they were at a loss of words.
"Hey, you two just gonna gawk all day or what?" Gohana asked unstrapping the backpack from its front securing strap, causing it to fall onto the ground behind her.
Walking over to the both of them, she tapped them both on the shoulder and pointed up. They both looked up and noticed the mist that came off from the edge of the waterfall high above them. And in the mist they could even see almost a dozen rainbows. They had never seen anything such as this and Erasa was even surprised Videl of all people was so amazed by this.
Sharpner shortly after arrived at the same spot and put his backpack down next to the one Gohana had been carrying and joined them. At first he was confused what they were staring at but once he looked up even he was looking on in amazement.
"You weren't kidding at all Gohana, this place is magical." He casually said.
"Gohana, how on Earth did you find a place like this?" Videl asked.
"My mom and dad used to take me here when I was a toddler. And I bring Raina here with me a lot." Gohana answered and started walking back to the packs.
Placing her sunglasses in one of the pockets, Gohana took off her shoes and put them next to the backpacks as well and walked back to them again.
"Hey why don't you three explore the area a little bit? That will give me some time to set up the tent anyway?" Gohana suggested, which the three of them happily agreed.
Videl was walking along the river bed with Erasa. They decided to explore a little bit together, mostly because Erasa wasn't comfortable exploring on her own. Sharpner wanted to check out other things in the valley so they had split up. It helped they couldn't get lost as Gohana said the river doesn't split for another fifty or so miles.
"I'm still so surprised this place can be real." Videl said, still looking all around at the flowers that were littered all over the river bed and the tree trunks.
"You're telling me hun! I've seen paintings of mythical valleys, and this place almost fits that exactly. Except maybe the purple sky instead of our blue sky." Erasa said looking up at the sky, which even then looked completely clear of anything as there were no clouds today.
They still had not gotten too far from the main base camp as they still didn't know the area well. Although Gohana had pretty much insisted that nothing around was really a danger to them. They were probably in more danger of drowning then being attacked, but they still wanted to be sure.
Videl was watching the river flowing down from them, and she could see some fish in the water as it was so clear. She really had to admit that Gohana was super lucky to grow up in a place like this. Sure she grew up with plenty of luxury, which she never really liked to begin with, but had plenty of opportunities. But to be surrounded by all of this her entire life? It must have been a totally different experience.
Something about this place though really gave Videl longing to leave the city. Maybe it was just because for once she was truly able to just relax, not have to worry about others. Over the last three years she couldn't remember a time others didn't depend on her as that was around when she started helping the police. And even before that, others depended on her for martial arts practice. But this was almost new for her, and Videl just smiled and took in a deep breath, letting it out with all her worries.
"Hey, you alright?" Erasa asked her noticing this.
"Oh, yeah it's just so surreal. I honestly can't recall the last time I ever even had a chance to relax. Like truly relax, you know. And to be able to do that in a place like this?" Videl tried to explain.
Erasa just nodded somewhat understanding how big this was for Videl. With a smile Erasa just continued to look around where they were currently at. She agreed completely with Videl in being lucky to be in a place like this.
Videl and Erasa slowly took their time walking around, always making sure they never strayed away from the river so they wouldn't get lost. Though they would travel a small ways from it to check out flowers, they always stayed near enough the river they could hear it easily. They were going back and forth with memories of the last time they had even gone camping like this, from years ago. They were not even teenagers the last time they were in a place like this, if they could even compare it to a place like this.
"Hey we should be heading back. I don't want Gohana to get worried." Videl said, realizing they had been gone for a good while.
The two of them arrived back at camp, and sure enough they were gone for a good hour. Although it didn't seem like they ever really went too far, most of the time they were just stopping and looking at things. When they got there they saw Gohana sitting next to a camp fire, but they didn't see Sharpner.
"Hey, where's Sharpner? He back yet?" Erasa asked.
"Oh, yeah he's over in the water relaxing. Oh and Lime also arrived as well." Gohana answered them throwing another stick onto the fire.
"Oh, Lime finally got here? Bout time, she missed that awesome food!" Erasa said and looked over to the water and sure enough saw Lime and Sharpner in the water.
"Where can we change anyway?" Videl asked.
"Oh, Sharpner put up our tent over there." She pointed to a rather large tent behind her, easily big enough to hold the five of them. He had insisted to setting it up himself, to at least not feel useless.
Having changed into their swim suits, as Videl made her way to the water, Erasa stayed behind. Putting her stuff in her own backpack, she couldn't help but notice how happy Gohana looked. Waiting to make sure that Videl was out earshot, she walked over to Gohana and sat on the log that was there as a make shift seat.
"Hey, so um." She started.
"What's up?" Gohana asked as she grabbed her backpack and pulled out a container.
"Well, I know I haven't asked anything since Tuesday, but can I ask something that has been on my mind this week?" she asked.
"Oh, sure I guess. What's up?" Gohana said, facing her already knowing the topic.
"Well, I just was wondering. What do you plan on doing once Videl and Sharpner find out? Or even how to tell them?"
Gohana just looked at her and then back at the pot. She really wasn't even sure as she hadn't even thought past telling them. Taking the pot off the fire, Gohana poured the chocolate mix into the milk and stirred it with a spoon. Setting the lid back on it to settle, Gohana just sat there resting in a full squat.
"Honestly, I don't know. Knowing Videl she'll want to probably learn all of this. But I'm afraid of how she will react." Gohana said looking up at the sky in thought. "To be honest, I sort of just want to tell them right now. I just don't know how to even do so. I mean what am I going to say? 'Hey Videl, Sharpner, I'm Saiyako?'" Gohana imitated herself telling them.
"Well that's one way to go about it I guess." Erasa said and then looked up noticing one of them coming towards them being somewhat close, but sighed with relief seeing it was Lime.
"Hey Erasa! How you enjoying our part of the world?" Lime said as she approached them.
"Huh, oh I honestly don't even know how to explain it. Now I see why the city always seemed so simple to you." Erasa answered her and then looked back at Gohana.
"Hey, how come you didn't stop talking? It could have been Videl walking towards us, but you seem to know if people are behind you a lot." Erasa asked confused as Lime was very close behind them and she was pretty sure with how silent it was out here Lime could have easily heard Gohana.
"I could tell it was Lime to be honest." Gohana stated.
"Wait, what do you mean you could tell?" Erasa asked confused.
"If you learn to control your ki, you can actually sense others. And I know what Lime's ki feels like compared to Videl's." Gohana answered.
"Not to mention mine is a lot stronger." Lime slightly gloated.
"Oh that's right. Gohana is your teacher, so you must be pretty strong?" Erasa asked having just now put that together, not having thought of it before hand.
Lime never really did ask Gohana just how much she had told Erasa, and wasn't exactly sure how to answer the question. Looking over to Gohana, she picked up on this and turned towards Erasa as she stood up.
"Not counting me, and anyone else not fully human, Lime is the probably the third or fourth strongest person on the planet. Anyway, if you don't mind Erasa could we not talking about this until Videl and Sharpner know? The more we talk about it the more nervous I get." She asked.
"Yeah of course. But how will I know when you tell them?" deciding to just drop her follow up question.
"Well, I'm pretty sure you'll hear Videl screaming at some point this weekend about it."
"You're going to tell them this weekend?" Lime asked having not heard that part earlier which Gohana just nervously nodded and walked towards the river, Lime and Erasa following her.
Cannonballing into the water from a slightly high rock ledge, Gohana slammed into the water startling both Videl and Sharpner as she had snuck up the rock.
"Hey it's about time she joined." Sharpner said covering his face with his hand.
Surfacing from the water, Gohana shock her face a few times to get the wet hair off her face. Realizing she forgot to tie it back, it just floated in the water a little bit.
"Hey, who else is going to make hot coco?" She asked and she could easily tell Sharpner was now looking forward to that.
"Oh your mom packed up a thermos of that?" Videl's face gleamed.
"No, she gave me some of the mix actually. She just gave me some milk to use for it in a thermos."
Now floating on her back, Gohana just looked up at the sky, seeing the waterfall high above and just smiled. It felt great relaxing out here with her friends for once.
"Hey, you think maybe one day we could hike up to the peak?" Sharpner asked.
Videl looked up at the waterfall and tried to even find a way to get up there without completely backtracking.
"Yeah, it's just a two hour hike up. There's even a hot spring on the way up so maybe we can go later tonight." Gohana said smiling.
"Yeah, that sounds like fun." Sharpner said with a suspicious tone and look on his face.
"Oh, get your head out of the gutter Sharpy." Erarsa teased, causing Sharpner to go a bit red.
"Hey, leave me alone!"
Gohana kept slowly swimming around in the water, the sun almost right above them yet the water stayed cool. The five of them were enjoying the water so much that they had spent the entire morning in the water, only to get out for a small snack and the hot coco that Gohana had prepared for them. Gohana was really having a good time with them here. She could be more herself, surrounded by nature. The city was still too dull for her, too loud. But out here was different.
"Hey, Gohana." Videl said as she swam up to her from behind, causing her to look back.
"What's up Videl?"
"Hey um, what should I do?" she asked, causing a very confused look from Gohana. "I mean, I left my wrist communicator at home. At first I was so glad to finally have some real relaxation time, and they know I'm gone for the weekend, but. Now I'm worried. What if…" Videl started rambling on a little bit.
"Hey, calm down Videl. The police are there all the time. They can handle whatever comes their way just fine." She tried to calm her, but she still looked a little worried. Without thinking, she said the very next thing that came to her mind, and immediately regretted it. "Besides, anything they need help with they can just call Saiyako."
"Yeah, you're right. It's just I've never been able to really relax like this before. Maybe not since I was a little kid. It's just so new to me again, that I can't help but worry a little bit, you know." She started and then looked up at Gohana, confused. "Hey, you in there?" she said waving her hand in front of her face.
"Huh, oh yeah. Hahaha. Sorry!" she started rubbing her neck and tried to wave her off.
'Fuck, how do I tell her now?'
"Huh, hey, you let your hair down? I've never seen you like that before." Gohana pointed out noticing now her hair wasn't in her usually pigtails, or just tied back like it sometimes was.
"Oh, yeah. Well I usually always have it tied back just so it's out of the way just in case I need to spring into action. But seeing as that's not happening I took it off." Videl started, then looked over towards Erasa. "Well, more like I had it tied back out of habit, and Erasa took it off when we changed."
"Well, it does suit you actually."
"It does?" Videl responded with a questioning tone.
"Yeah, you look like a different person. Well, I mean, not in a bad way or anything. But it's just that usually you look all serious and such. But now you look, well pretty I guess." Gohana flubbered her way through that sentence suddenly worried she might offend her and physically it showed.
"Hahaha, hey don't worry." Videl reassured her, picking up on her awkward attempt at not offending her. "Honestly I really don't worry too much about my hair in the first place, it usually gets a bit messed up all the time. I just prefer it long." She shrugged.
"Well it looks good either way. You should do that more often." Gohana suggested.
"Sheesh Gohana, you really are something." Videl said with a smile, causing Gohana to look confused. "You didn't care who my father is the day we meet, you treat me like an equal even though I'm still pretty sure you're stronger than me, as much as I hate to admit it. You enjoy rather simple things, and you even already have your dream job as a scientist. How many other people can say stuff like that?" Videl said. "You're just the first person since my family became famous that just treats me as, well, me. It just really means a lot is all."
'Even though I really do think you're lying to me, you really treat me like a real friend.' Videl thought to herself, now not even sure how she felt about that. It conflicted with her extreme hatred towards liars but also a type of friend she deeply wanted outside Sharpner and Erasa as they were friends before she was famous. But she still wasn't completely sure Gohana was Saiyako only very sure. It would make sense and she did get nervous anytime she talked about her around Gohana and she never did see them together even if Sharpner and Erasa were with them as well.
"Either way, thanks for inviting us all out here. This place is just so-" Videl paused and looked around, still treating water, "I guess magical is the best word."
"Yeah, I guess you can now see why I don't really want to live in the city and I just commute each day. The time required to get there and back is worth all of this. Its priceless." Gohana said, slightly smiling.
"Is this still part of the fire kingdom?" Videl asked curiously.
"Yeah it is actually. A large amount of the area around here is directly part of the Fire Kingdom, and a lot of the outlaying land around it is technically part of it. But that's a big part of why the area is still so rural. Many of the people don't want too much modernization out here. Even though we do have a few things." Gohana said and started swimming back to the others, Videl following close behind her.
"So if you're the princess how come you really don't care much about it?" Videl asked.
"Well to be completely honest I never really wanted it as a little kid. I mean it was always a tad nice in some fantastical sort of way I guess. But then something happened and that was the last thing on my mind." Gohana started and got to everyone else. "Then things just happened and I stuck with martial arts and being a scientist. And neither Raina or Goten really care either, though I honestly think Goten just forgot."
"What did we miss?" Sharpner asked a bit confused, having not hears anything up until the very end.
"Oh nothing really." Gohana tried to cover for Videl, as the whole point of Videl leaving her communicator was she had to relax. She didn't want them to worry about her.
Erasa looked suspiciously at Videl though and could tell she was hiding something but she just let her have her own time. Maybe Gohana was trying to tell her the truth? She couldn't bring herself to talk about it right now though, not until she was sure that Gohana had told them.
"Hey, why don't we take the hike to the top of the mountain? That way we can show them the view from up there." Lime offered.
"An even better view? Are you serious?" Erasa got suddenly happier all of a sudden.
"Oh, yeah you can see the valley all around here. In fact there are a few places around here similar to this, just not as high up." Gohana smiled.
"Didn't you mention there was a hot spring on the way there? Maybe we could go there." Videl offered.
"Well, the hot springs are actually only about half hour from here to be honest. But the hike up to the top might take a few hours, so maybe we should wait until tomorrow to do that."
"But that means we can go to the hot springs later tonight then, right?" Erasa said almost immediately after Gohana stopped talking.
"Well yeah we can go after dinner actually! It feels so good at night time around here, also it seems to have some health benefits because some of the villages have similar springs and they use it for beauty treatments." Gohana answered, knowing she might like that last part as Lime always did.
"I'm so in!" Erasa squeeled and Lime just nodded in agreement.
"Then it's settled, will head on to the hot springs later tonight, right Gohana?"
"Sounds like a plan!" Gohana said smiling then suddenly glanced upwards a bit looking deep in though seeing some of the birds.
"Hey, I just thought of something! I want to introduce you guys to one of my oldest friend!" Gohana said and swam over to the shore.
Walking a little bit, the others followed her a little bit not really knowing what to expect, all but Lime who just had a big smile on her face. She knew what was about to happen but Videl and the others just looked at Gohana in slight confusion.
Taking in a large breath, enough that they could see Gohana's entire upper torso expand slightly, she put two fingers into her mouth and let out an incredibly loud whistle that seemed to travel all around the valley. Looking up in the sky, Gohana looked around for a little bit as she rubbed her ears a little, while the others just looked up as well. They were not even sure what they were looking for to begin with so they just stood there waiting to see if anything would happen. They saw Gohana suddenly smile, and they looked in the general direction she was. Eventually they could see something but they still couldn't see what it was for a while until it started to get closer and closer.
They were not sure if they should be scared or not because the next thing they knew, a large dragon was coming straight at them. They knew dragons were pretty protective and violent, but they looked back to Gohana, and also Lime, and both of them were just smiling. Suddenly the dragon flew right into Gohana, tackling her to the ground and Erasa shrieked out of reflex and Videl very quickly ran behind a large rock.
"Okay Icarus, okay! I'm happy to see you too buddy." Gohana tried telling him between Icarus nudging his muzzle against her face and licking her. He finally stopped and moved a bit so he wasn't pinning her down, even though she could easily flip him off of her.
Lime just walked over to Icarus and softly pet hit forehead and Icarus bowed his head and softly licked her face once and she just laughed a little having not seen him for a bit either.
"You're…friends with a dragon?" Erasa said somewhat confused tone, yet she wasn't even fazed too much. She was just still getting over seeing her friend get tackled by a dragon, an animal that's usually pretty aggressive yet it was acting like a puppy.
"Yeah, I saved him when I was little. My God parents were on a camping trip with me, although they weren't officially my God parents just yet. But anyway there was a…tree that fell on him and I saved him." She started and continued up rub his back leaving out the entire forest fire that followed. No need to explain how they put it out.
"Oh right, you're friends with a dragon." Repeated Sharpner.
"Hey are you guy's going to come say hello?" Gohana said looking at them with a big smile on her face as she kept softly petting Icarus's neck.
Erasa slowly walked forward, seeing both Gohana and Lime just so causal around the dragon, and he must be docile enough for them to trust her. Still she was a little apprehensive, so she was slow. Icarus saw her coming towards her, and she did have to admit the purple dragon was pretty cute. Once she got to him, she slowly held her hand out, noticing he was acting somewhat similar to a puppy and she decided to just act like meeting a puppy. Granted a rather giant puppy.
"Take it easy buddy, they're not use to seeing dragons." Gohana said to her dragon friend.
Sharpner soon followed Erasa's lead and while he was a tad more nervous, he held his hand out to touch Icarus as well. He wasn't too sure what to expect a dragon's skin to feel like, he always thought they had skin similar to a snake skin since they had scales. But the moment that he touched Icarus' skin, he noticed it was oddly rough, yet smooth at the same time. It was rather interesting to him, he could feel the individual scales but it wasn't super rough at all. He looked at Icarus who was looking down at him and then rubbed his nose against Sharpner.
"Wow, who would have thought a dragon is so gentle." Erasa commented.
"Well, not all dragons are gentle like Icarus here. He was still pretty much a baby when we meet. But there are some dragon species around these parts that are more aggressive. But even then they are mostly just being territorial. They are not really all that violent to begin with." Gohana explained and smiled before looked around.
Gohana didn't see Videl anywhere and it confused her. Erasa noticed this and then started looking around as well and pointed her out to Gohana. Sure enough, Gohana saw Videl hiding behind a rock. Walking over to her, Gohana was wondering what was wrong as she closer to her.
"Hey Videl, are you alright?" Gohana asked worried.
"Um, yes of course I am!" Videl quickly got out sounding extremely defensive.
"Videl." Gohana repeated, noticing the look on her face even though it was as Saiyako she saw this look.
"Im…I'm terrified of Dragons." Videl just said and then looked over again to Icarus. She saw Sharpner and Erasa both petting him.
"Wait, you mean to tell me you fight thugs on an almost daily basis, some even stronger than you, yet a dragon worries you?"
"Huh, wait how do you know that? But yes, im terrified of them. I didn't have the best of experiences when I was a little kid. It left me deathly terrified of them." She said looking back to Gohana.
"Oh, shoot im so sorry, I didn't know!" Gohana quickly started blurting out. It was also now very obvious she was freaking out, not wanting to freak her out.
"No, you didn't know its alright. I just." Videl stopped and looked again towards the small group. "I just didn't expect a dragon suddenly. Especially out here, and of all things you know one."
"I'm sorry Videl, I can have Icarus go away if you want me to. I didn't know, I'm so sorry!" apologized again.
"It's alright, you don't have to make him leave. I mean they seem to like him. Maybe…" Videl trailed off and Gohana just looked at her a little confused.
"When I was a little girl, my parents took me to a circus. There was a friendly dragon there that was the main attraction. But when I was visiting there was someone who tried to steal the dragon in plain sight. The dragon tried to protect itself and it did get away, but I happened to be petting it right when it happened. I got a slash near my neck, right here." Videl said pointing to a very light scar along her neck. Gohana leaned in a bit and was now able to see it, knowing she was actually looking for it. "it didn't cause too much damage persay, it missed all the main arteries but mentally it caused a lot of issues. And I even liked dragons before that. We only went because I kept pestering my parents to go see it." Videl continued to explain.
Gohana just nodded as she listened to her, and she wasn't too sure where this might be going. But she looked over back to their friends. They were having such a fun time with Icarus, and Videl was also looking at them having fun. She saw them laughing as they pet him.
"You really trust him?" She asked a little nervously.
"With my life. Icarus has even saved my life once, and even Goten and Raina adore him." Gohana said smiling again.
Videl looked up at Gohana and saw the joy on her face, and then just back at her friends as well. She did have to admit that they looked like they were having fun with Icarus. They had smiles on their faces as well, as did Lime. She looked back up to Gohana again.
"No he can stay. I want to get over this." Videl said.
"Huh, get over what?" Gohana asked.
"Being scared. Besides it's just like getting over anything, just do it and you'll be less scared."
'Well she does have that point, I was so terrified when I first started fighting but got used to it mostly because I had no choice.' Gohana thought to herself.
"You sure? You don't have to do anything." Gohana asked her, wanting to see if she was serious about this.
"If nothing else, I want to try." Videl said with a slightly determined look on her face. "I've never had a chance to get over this, and I don't like being scared of anything!" Videl seemed so determined.
With a slight nod, Gohana grabbed her hand softly and started walking towards them, with Videl slightly tense. Gohana could tell how tense she was just from her hand and she just looked at her. She was still walking forward a bit though, as she wasn't having to drag Videl. Still, she could tell that she looked determined to get over this. Gohana had to admit she seemed far more brave than she was. The first time she was ever truly facing something that terrified her, she stood there and did nothing, causing Piccolo to die as an end result of not trying to kill Nappa. And even on Namek, she forced herself to fight Racoom and had her neck broken. But Videl was willingly trying to get over a fear she had, even though she didn't even need to do so.
'You're a lot braver than I am Videl.' Gohana thought with a lot of new respect for her.
Once behind her, Gohana softly nudged her forward towards Icarus. Videl was tensing up pretty hard and Gohana could easily tell how scared she was. But Videl was the one that wanted to do this in the first place, so Gohana just softly nudged her forward more.
Leaning back a little bit, Videl could feel Gohana right behind her. But it felt more like she was leaning against a solid warm steel pole. She felt like a solid wall, but that was oddly helping her a little bit. She could see Icarus notice them coming their way, and she instinctually reached behind her and held onto Gohana's arms. Gohana just softly held onto her friend supporting her a bit.
"Videl, are you sure you want to do this right now?"
"Well, when else would I ever have a chance to do this?" she asked just looking directly up, never really noticing she was literally up to just Gohana's chin as she could feel her head hit the bottom of her chin.
"Well, alright then. Here maybe this will help." She said and then got in front of Videl. "Icarus, come here buddy." Gohana called out.
Icarus suddenly perched his head up hearing Gohana call out to him, and then started walking over to her. Videl held onto Gohana as best as she could, which turned into just trying to flatten herself against her. Gohana could tell how scared she was now, but upon feeling her unglue herself from her back a bit, she realized it was alright. Looking back over, Icarus was soon just a few feet from Gohana, and in turn Videl. Videl was just looking at Icarus with some fear in her eyes, but she could see just how gentle Icarus was. He was just standing there staring at her, with his tail wagging behind him.
'He really is acting just like a puppy.' Videl though to herself.
Videl was taken out of her fear when Gohana turned a bit and softly grabbed Videl's hand in her own. Placing her free hand on Icarus's nose, Gohana softly pet his snout. Slowly pulling Videl's hand, she felt her suddenly tense and looked over to see Videl just staring hard at Icarus.
"Videl, do you trust me?"Gohana asked which did pull Videl from her current statue like state.
'What type of question is that? Of course I do, with my life.' Videl found herself mentally yelling at Gohana. She was convinced that her life already had been saved by her numerous times, but she just softly nodded.
"Then close your eyes." Gohana said, which Videl just looked confused but then closed her eyes shaking slightly.
Holding her slightly outstretched hand where it was, Gohana motioned for Icarus to move towards them a bit, pointing to Videl's hand. Icarus looked at Videl's outstretched hand and slowly stretched his head towards it and placed his nose right against Videl's palm.
Videl suddenly felt a giant nose against her hand and she shrieked a little and shot her eyes open. But to her surprise she didn't even move her hand away, even with Gohana no longer holding her hand either. Videl could feel her heart racing in her chest but she just stood there not moving. She was too busy looking at Icarus, and Icarus back, that she failed to notice that the others had now joined them as well. She could literally feel her heart beating in her palm.
"He's not as…rough as I had thought it would have been." Videl said randomly, noticing that he wasn't like other reptiles. She really had no other clue what to say. She wasn't moving, and neither was Icarus.
"Nope, the type of dragon that Icarus is don't really have super rough scales, they didn't evole to need them. The downside is their skin isn't as tough and resistant. But living around here where the weather isn't as extreme like other places dragons live, they don't need to be as tough." Gohana answered, really not even sure if Videl really even was listening or caring. But she heard it as a potential question and she knew the answer.
"Huh, what?" Videl suddenly snapped out of her initial shock and looked over to Gohana.
"Oh nothing." Gohana just waved her off.
Looking back at Icarus, Videl slowly moved her hand up and down as she started petting his nose now. She did have to admit that now it wasn't too bad, and Icarus wasn't anything like the dragon from when she was a kid.
"Wow Videl, I'm impressed!" Gohana said with high tone, causing confusion from Videl.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Videl said not pulling her hand away from Icarus, mostly because she was now looking at Gohana and not him.
"Well, to be honest you always seem to just jump into the face of danger, even if you know the risks or maybe in this case are scared. But you're not afraid of facing that fear. Whereas for me…" Gohana started but then suddenly looked very sad. "I've always been scared of some things, but I let it stop me and others paid the price for it." she said fighting back some tears.
"But seeing you right now just diving right into this, I'm just so amazed at your bravery!" Gohana continued, looking a bit more optimistic.
Videl was a little bit taken back at this suddenly coming up, and she just looked at Gohana. She was now confused what she was talking about. She had seen just how strong she is first hand and how competent she was with fighting. Not to mention the fact she was literally the smartest person she had ever meet. Up until meeting her, that title belonged to Erasa, but in comparison that was nothing compared to Gohana. But she was now praising her as being brave.
"Well, yeah I just don't like to be scared of things. I mean I know everyone is but still. I don't like it." She said and looked back to Icarus and carefully moved her hand close to Icarus again. She was still a little scared, but she had already touched him once so what's another time? After all, she didn't think she would ever encounter another dragon. This was really good though to do for her though, she always did know it was an accident and not on purpose.
"If you really want, we can go for a little flight." Gohana offered.
"You can ride a dragon?" Videl asked, arm shooting back to her side.
"Um, yeah. They fly after all, and you can easily sit on their backs." Gohana asked a little confused why the concept seemed odd to Videl. She and her younger siblings had been doing it most of their entire lives, except when they fly on their own.
"Um, I don't know." Videl said looking a little bit worried.
"Again, you don't need to do anything you don't want to so no pressure."
"Maybe on another visit. Just, right now I think this is fine for now." She answered and then looked back to Icarus. "He is rather cute though."
The entire time Videl and Gohana was standing next to Icarus, Erasa and Sharpner just stared at what they were watching. Ever since her accident as a kid, Videl couldn't even watch anything with dragon's on tv, and yet now she was standing next to one. And on top of that she was petting it. Neither of them could even believe what they were watching.
"Hey Erasa, I thought Videl ran at even the thought of being near a dragon."
"Um, well I guess she got over it?" Erasa flatly answered without even looking away.
Gohana and Lime were leading the way along the mountain trail. They had just finished an early dinner and were on their way to the springs. Videl was right behind them and she noticed Gohana was munching on what looked like a protein bar. She really didn't think much of it, other than they had already ate before leaving for the hot springs. But then again this was Gohana and she was almost always eating or snacking on something. She just followed her along the pathway. It was a really good thing as well that their lunch was a little on the light side for the small hike they had to do to get to the springs they were going to.
"Hey Gohana, what exactly is that you're eating anyway?" Videl asked now more curious as she could now smell it and it smelt very odd. Though it didn't smell bad to her, she couldn't figure out what it was.
"Huh, oh it's an energy bar I guess. It's something my mom makes from time to time when I won't be home much. It is basically a really calorie dense bar, while also having a very high nutrition content for its size. Did you want to try some?" she offered, tearing a small piece off for her and handed it towards her.
Looking at it, Videl just grabbed it and then held it up to her nose and sniffed it suspiciously. Up close it smelt even weirder, but she just popped it into her mouth and almost immediately had to spit it out back into her hand.
"Does it taste bad?" Gohana asked surprised.
"What? Bad, no it doesn't taste bad, but holy shit the flavor is so intense! It shocked me is all." She said, and more carefully bit into it again expecting its intensity this time. "Maybe a little odd though.
"Hey could I possibly try it?" Erasa asked, Sharpner also piping up wanting to try it as well.
Taking a small piece for them both, she handed them back to her, letting Lime more lead the way. Erasa was careful to taste the little ball of food in her hand, while Sharpner was more daring and just tossed it into his mouth, but somewhat prepared compared to Videl earlier.
"Yikes this is intense!" Erasa nearly shouted after tasting it for a few seconds and was just trying to chew the small nibble she had.
"I'll agree, how the heck do you just eat it like that anyway?" Sharpner asked finishing up his small piece.
"Well, you know me, I'm always hungry so this has a ton of nutrients in it. It makes it a little easier for me to handle not eating my usual amount of food." Gohana answered.
"So it's a health bar? What's it made out of?" Videl asked.
"Um, well it's not an exact recipe to be honest but usually it has some mashed up dehydrated animal organs, some flax seeds, and usually some coconut butter to get it all stuck together makes the bulk of it. Although I think this one has peanut butter in it though to be honest. Beyond that, it changes each time mom makes it, depending on what we have to begin with but that's the main ingredients. " Gohana said and took another bite of it and then saw all three of them just standing their with their faces in shock, Erasa slightly trembling.
"Um, are you guys alright?" Gohana asked confused.
"Please tell me you're kidding." Videl said with a slight disgusted look on her face.
"Why would I be kidding? Although honestly what are you asking about specifically anyway." Gohana said rubbing her neck a little nervous and confused.
"I think they're a little weirded out about the organ part of the bar." Lime answered for them.
"Huh, but you guy's always have the soup or stew my mom makes and that usually has whatever parts from the animal we got it from. You guy's never cared then."
"But we didn't know about it." Sharpner tried to explain.
"Oh, shoot I'm sorry guys. I didn't really even think about that, it's just so normal for me I never thought to bring it up!" Gohana said now obviously flailing around not sure what to do.
"It's fine, it's fine. You do have a point that we do eat it. It does taste really good. Its just…yeah city folk so were not used to it is all." Sharpner said. "Besides, it makes sense you'd eat them anyway really. You live out in the country so you eat what you can get, and I've always heard its loaded with nutrients for athletes. I guess that helps explain how you get so much."
"Sorry again. Um well should we be headed off again?" Gohana asked to no one in particular and just turned and started leading again hoping to avoid another unusual situation. To many this small trip, mostly due to not getting their world.
The five of them continued on the path, Gohana and Lime leading, as they were now not even really sure what to talk about anyway. They were still getting over learning what they have been eating. Seeing this as a perfect opportunity though, Lime walked up beside Videl.
"Hey, can I ask you a question?" she asked.
"Didn't you just do that already?" Videl remarked back to her with a smile, earning a smack on her shoulder.
"You know what I mean?" she pouted but just sighed and carried on to her question. "Back there, with Icarus today. I still can't believe you were so easily able to just go up to a dragon like that. I thought for sure it would take you being around one a couple of times, or just honestly never getting over it."
"Um, to be honest I'm not even to sure why myself." Videl answered thinking back to it. It's true she would have tried to eventually get over it but she even surprised herself just doing that so suddenly. "I guess it's because I felt so safe." She answered.
"Safe? What do you mean?" Erasa asked wanting to know what she meant.
Looking back up towards Gohana, Videl nodded a bit and slowed her walking. She and Erasa were now behind Sharpner, who was so used to stuff like this didn't even think anything of it and kept walking behind Gohana and Lime's lead.
"I don't really know why, but just being around Gohana made me feel braver I guess. It might sound odd, but just being around her I feel so safe. I've never felt safe like that before, except maybe around dad and mom when I was younger. Well dad still to an extent. It's really weird feeling like that around anyone else, especially Gohana. I always thought I would only feel like that towards whatever guy I ended up with." Videl tried to explain.
"Well, she is stronger than you we know that for sure. And you even think she's Saiyako as well and Saiyako saves you often, so I don't really blame you for feeling safe around her." Erasa said thinking out loud and then looked up to Gohana herself. 'Even though you are right.'
"And she is rather protective of us, we've seen her nearly flip out on Jake. And even I did on Monday when she saved us, well me, from Jake and his creepy friends."
"Speaking of, how are you so calm about what happened anyway? I haven't had any time to even be alone with you to ask."
"Um, well in the end nothing really happened to me. I got saved thanks to Gohana so I wasn't hurt at all. A little shaken up but I've been with you in potentially life or death situations." Erasa started blabbing on. In reality, the thing she had been more shocked was just learning about Gohana's truth, and really just a good night's sleep helped her past that. She also always though there was some truth to all the legends about people like that so that helped.
"Well you can talk to me if you need to alright?" Videl offered.
"Oh trust me V, you know I will." She gave her a thumbs up and then looked back up at the front.
"So, you said you feel safe around Gohana huh? Too bad she's not a guy right? She's even your type, except the whole being a girl." Erasa teased and Videl's face suddenly went red.
"The hell Erasa!" she nearly shouted causing all three of their friends stop and turn back at them as they walked. Videl just waved them off with her face still beet red.
"Seriously Erasa, why would you even say something like that?" she asked after the long awkward silence.
"Well, you even said it yourself just a few moments ago, you've never felt safe like that outside your parents. Not to mention I know what your type of guy is. Strong yet gentle, friendly, humble, smart. Hell she's even really good with kids, and she's protective of those she cares about. I'll bet you if she was a guy you'd have fallen for him, or her really." Erasa continued teasing the girl, knowing how shy Videl actually was when it came to emotional feelings like that. And the look on Videl's face made it obvious her teasing was working.
"Oh come on Videl, you know I'm only teasing." She said patting her on the shoulder.
"Yes, and I hate it when you do that. And you know how to do it too well!" Videl grumbled under her breath, which Erasa just smiled happily. After that Erasa eased up on the teasing a little bit though and just looked at the rock cliffs.
"Hey guys, were here!" Gohana nearly shouted as they turned a corner.
The three of them quickened the last few feet to see the springs that she was talking so highly about during dinner. And when they saw it they couldn't believe yet again a place like this existed. There were a few large pools of water, and a few smaller ones as well. The water was so clear, yet for some reason it looked like the water was glowing. They could see reflections of light dance along the cave walls and the ceiling as if they had lights in them. In face Erasa thought that's what was happening.
"Well, didn't I tell you this place was awesome like this?" Gohana smiled and walked towards the pools after Lime who had already taken off her hiking shorts she wore over her bikini bottoms.
"But, how? You're home is like a fairy tale!" Videl stuttered.
"I have to agree, but I can't wait to try the hot spring for myself." Sharpner said and made a solid dash towards the pool that Lime had chosen for them.
Videl and Erasa followed them as well and they all put down their backpacks together. Videl had just hiked in her spare swimsuit so she just got right into the spring. The heat wasn't too intense at all, and in fact when she slowly sat down into it she could feel it engulfing her and instantly relaxing her muscles.
Taking off her shirt, Gohana held what remained of the food bar from earlier in her mouth and made her way digging into her backpack. Taking out a hairtie, Gohana tied her hair back into a pony tail, higher up than when she usually wore it. She walked over to the spring and sat down next to Videl and Erasa since that's where there was space. Just leaned back and sighing softly, she kept chewing on the bar being held up just by her lips as only a few more bites remained.
"Aw man I think I could get used to this." Sharpner said as he had his arms out relaxed on the pools edge as he leaned back against the warm rocks.
"Yeah, you can say that again." Videl said and sighing contently.
"How did you find this place anyway Gohana?" Erasa asked.
"Well, my dad and I would come here from time to time when I was growing up. And even after he died my mom and I would come here to relax in the spring to distress while Goten and Raina were with Trunks."
"Huh, who's Trunks?" Erasa asked.
"He's…well my God brother." Gohana said.
"wow, you even have god parents. Seriously Gohana what don't you have?"
'A brain apparently.' She thought, at least very glad Trunks wasn't too well known outside Capsule Corp, yet.
"Well, it's nothing really. I mean yeah I do have a lot of stuff in life I guess, but I don't really keep track of it all. Honestly I have a family that I love, even my extended family and friends. I have a good job, and Im doing the things I love. So really I don't think much of it, other than just I'm really lucky." Gohana said smiling.
"See, humble." Erasa teasingly whispered into Videls' hear causing her to get lightly elbowed in the ribs by her.
"I have to ask though, why does everyone else make a big deal about my life anyway? Seriously up until I started school with you guys, no one ever really made a big deal of anything. Not even Lime when we started hanging out." Gohana asked.
"Well, you were dealing with your stuff and just needed a friend. Well outside Piccolo and Krillin." Lime said waving it off as an excuse, when at first she was envious of Gohana.
"Piccolo and Krillin?" Videl asked in confusion.
"Piccolo is my first martial arts teacher, and Krillin is my God father."
"Those names sound so familiar." Videl said in a rather quiet voice, causing Gohana to tense up just a little bit.
Turning to Erasa, she just looked at the girl unsure what to say to help her out. Feeling a poke on her shoulder though, Gohana turned to Sharpner and saw him just nudge his head towards Videl. Looking back at Videl, she saw her still so deep in thought that she wasn't aware of what was going on around her.
"They were both martial artists in the Tenkaichi Budokai before it was stopped. Same as my dad, he was the last world champion before yours." Gohana hesitantly answered for Videl.
"You're related to The Son Goku?" Videl shoot up and was nearly only inches from Gohana, causing her to put her arms in front of her in shock.
"Um, well…yes?" Gohana answered with a very high inflection of a question and just sat there nervously with a panicked expression.
"What the hell, it all makes sense now! No wonder you were able to take out Jake so easily!" having now just made the connection between her family name.
"Huh, what?" Gohana asked confused having not expected her to take that route.
"Stop playing dumb Gohana, I remember clearly that fight you had your first day! Jake is someone even I have trouble even fighting, and yet you looked like you barely noticed him!" Videl was nearly shouting at this point.
Gohana was just staring at Videl and was a little taken back. While this wasn't where she thought this was going to go, it was still causing her to find even something to say rather difficult.
"Stop lying and just admit it! You're father trained you! You're stronger than either me or Sharpner and you're just pretending so you feel you fit in!" Videl angrily yelled at her, her temper now getting even worse with the stupid look on Gohana's face.
"Videl will you just chill! It's no big deal she's stronger than us anyway! Besides she grew up in the mountains, of course she has…"
"Zip it Sharpner! I've flat out asked Gohana to spar, and she's flat out refused. Why is that? Did you not want to feel left out?" Videl turned back to Gohana who gave her a rather curious look as that technically was true to an extent.
"Every time I even ask a little thing about you, even something small, all you do is shy away and change the subject! Why don't you just for once stop trying to hide shit from us! You don't have to fucking tell us everything, but for once will you just let us into your life!" Videl shouted at her looking rather pissed off at this point as she was breathing heavier, trying to calm herself down now.
Gohana just looked in shock at Videl. Of all the things she could yell at her about she figured it would be about her being Saiyako, but to just ask to be a little more open with her? She had not expected that at all to happen at all and it was really throwing her off for a loop.
Taking another deep breath, Videl returned to where she was sitting with her arms crossed. It was obvious she was still a little annoyed with Gohana, but it wasn't that she was mad at her. But Gohana just continued to look at her in shock. She really couldn't blame her for saying that though. Except for her name, where she lived, and she was a martial artist and super smart she really didn't share much of anything with them yet. With the exception of Erasa finding out about her abilities and being half alien, and Sharpner already learning about her dad. And Lime even knew everyone and could probably even keep up with Tien and Krillin having trained with Goten and Raina the last few years. Oh right, Videl is the least in the know about her. Yet she was the one who she spent the most time with lately both as herself and Saiyako.
Gohana looked over to Videl and could tell she was internally yelling at herself for her outburst. She usually did look a tad guilty any time she yelled at Gohana. She wasn't sure exactly what to say anyway when she was asked things. Some people were even terrified of her as Saiyako just because of her abilities, what would someone who already believes they are real think anyway after being lied to about it for so long.
"You're right Videl, I too scared." Gohana started, causing everyone there to look at her now. "I've never had normal friends before so it's all just so new to me. So I try to fit in. I'm just scared of losing people that I've gotten close to." Gohana said looking down a little sad.
Videl almost immediately regretted saying anything at this point. She could easily hear the emotion in that last part, and she knew without a doubt what she was talking about and referring to. Videl didn't even know what to say now to make up for what just happened. Surely she should of all people know what it is like trying to fit in when everyone treats you differently when you just want to be treated like everyone else. And here was Gohana just trying to fit in, trying to just have a normal life when she knew she wasn't. Videl so wanted to hear the truth, but not like this if it meant hurting her.
"I'm sorry Gohana! Really I didn't mean it like that!" Videl tried to apologize to her. She could tell from her expression that Gohana wasn't holding it against her, but it didn't really help her feel any better. And the fact she couldn't even tell what the look on Gohana's face meant wasn't helping.
'Just tell them! Tell the truth! When else will you have the right time to do it? Erasa flat out knows, and I'm pretty sure Sharpner knows if he already knew who my dad and family are. And if Videl now knows who my dad is, it's only a matter of time. Just transform. That's all you have to do! Just transform. Transform!' Gohana kept repeating in her head, and as she was Lime paid close attention to her. 'Just transform already…just'
"Just stop Gohana." Videl said.
Gohana just looked over at Videl with a much more recognizable look on her face now, confusion. One which Videl all too well knew from her being so clueless to social ques.
"Look, I'm sorry I snapped at you like that. I want you to just let us into your life and trust us. But not to the point you have to fight yourself to do it." Videl started to explain. "I'm sorry, I should know better of all people that there are things that you don't want out in the open too much. But it's just…well you know so much about us and you hide so much about yourself, it just worries me from some of our past experiences." Videl started.
"You're talking about…" Lime started under her breath before being shushed by Erasa quickly, turning to Videl and noticing that she had not heard. Although Gohana did glance their direction.
"Look, just promise me that you'll let us in someday, that's all I'm asking." Videl sked..
Gohana just softly nodded at her, now somewhat glad she had some time to think about how to bring all of this up. She had planned on telling them during this trip, but now she thought it best to just leave it for later and try to relax with them instead.
"Ahem, now that that is settled, can we go back to relaxing?" Sharpner spoke up, to which they all agreed.
"Seriously Sharpner, how on Earth did you become the reasonable one in our group?" Videl asked him.
"Hey, what can I say? Someone has to keep your temper in check." He shot back at her.
"I don't have a temper!" Videl snapped, before blushing and just pouting with her arms crossed again.
"He's got you there Videl." Lime poked fun at her a little bit to lighten up the mood a bit more, which got a laugh from Erasa and Sharpner, while Gohana just smiled now. This was more in mind what she wanted from this mini trip.
-Satan City-
Sakito was sitting with his elbows on the desk, taking another puff of his cigar. He was already nervous enough as it was, and now waiting for his 'guest' to arrive only made him more nervous. But what choice did he have. All of his subordinates were getting arrested left and right faster than he could bribe them out, a few getting injured here and there, several had even died. Not to mention many were now becoming scared of her and didn't want to get back out there thinking she was a demon. He had to do something. So who better than someone they were even more scared of.
A knock on the door brought him out of his daze and he went over to the door and opened it.
"What is it? Didn't I fucking tell you to not bother me at all?" He nearly screamed at the man in front of him.
"Y-yes sir. But you said to let you know when he arrives, or your son. And well, your guest it heading this way right now." He said nervously.
"Correction, I am here now" a calm voice spoke behind him, causing the men to instantly get out of his way.
"Oh, thank you for coming at such a short notice."
"Well I do have a reputation to uphold. And you offered my plenty of compensation for my troubles just to get here." He said walking over to the desk, and noticing the only chair. "I take it you don't get company very often." He stated and just sat down in the chair.
"Oh, no of course not."
"Let's get down to business than, shall we? You have already paid my fee so who is it you need me to get rid of? You certainly paid far more than my usual rate."
"Oh, yes well it's not so much who I want you to kill. It's who I want you to break out and help get them ready to kill a certain someone, or someone's as the case may be."
"Oh, a little revenge thrown into the mix. Well I do love a good jailbreak from time to time, I must say." He started. "I take it you expect me to whip them into shape? Sorry but I don't take on students."
"Oh, not full on students. But I was…well they keep getting so overpowered, and your strength is legendary. I thought…maybe with enough persuasion…you could get them into shape. They want revenge as well." He stated trying to keep the lead of this conversation.
"We shall see. First off, how many would I be breaking out and…training?" he asked with a slight hesitation at the last part
"Well, just about ten guys training. You can go nuts and let more out though if you like. I'll even pay you more for intimidation!" he offered.
"That doesn't sound to be unreasonable. How long would I have to beat their asses into shape?" he asked with his fingers together in thought.
"Um, well as soon as possible. I'm loosing way too much money the longer they keep putting my men into jail! Just strong enough that no other normal human can stop them!" he said now even more angry. "Not to mention my Grandsons medical bills due to one of them."
"So a good old fashioned jail break, followed by getting those weaklings to at least grow a spine. I believe I can do that in two months time. That said you had not mentioned me training them at all until now. I'll want five times what you have already paid me for this, then we are in business" He sneered.
"Wha…f-five times?" Sakito dropped his cigar from his mouth in shock. "I've already paid you triple your usual price."
"And that is usually to kill someone, and seeing as you are asking me to get them stronger, or have I wasted my time even coming here?"
Sakito just shock in anger and shock. How on earth could anyone ask for five times what he already paid, that would make it fifteen times his usual rate. He wanted to protest, but this was mercenary Tao, his reputation was flawless and he always got the job done. And at this rate he was losing so much income due to Videl and Saiyako, he was about to start losing money overall if they were not stopped.
"Fine…five times what I already paid you."
"It is settled then. I can certainly get them strong enough to take care of the two you want dead." He said.
"Wait, don't you even want to know who the targets are?"
"Why does it matter. For starters, no one can challenge me anyway. Plus you said you wanted me to get them ready to kill someone, not to kill someone myself." He said without a hint of confusion, but authority.
He knew he was caught, but he didn't dare question it right now. He was already so deep in the whole just paying his fee. He didn't want to get it any higher. He would have ten of his best men trained to be stronger, and that would be more than enough to take care of only two girls. Then maybe he could even get them to train his grandson once his arm healed, if it healed.
"Well, then I expect the money to be in my account by morning." Tao said as he stood up and walked towards the door. "Oh and if it is not there, I will return and pull out your tongue with my bare hands." He causally said, causing Saiyako to cover his mouth in a fearful reflex.
The door casually closed behind him as if it was just a friendly visit, and Sakito quickly let out a breath he had been holding pretty much since Tao had walked in. The man was truly fearful, even as one of the city's largest crime boss's, he was scared.
Picking up his cigarette, he walked back over to his desk and sat down catching his breath. What had he just gotten himself into? He was now paying a massive chink of his money just to get back at them, but in the end he would lose far more if nothing was done.
With everything that had happened in the last month, he knew in the end this was the better option. His men would stop being put into jail, and then Jake could get revenge on the nobody that broke his arm. He insisted that she just got the drop on him, and that in a fair fight he would have won. But it pays to be on the safer side.
"Saiyako…Videl Satan…you're good as fucking dead."
Sorry for the chapter being sort of crammed with a few different things, I couldn't get it all into their own chapters so tried to make it into their own combined for the day one trip. Already have the next one started so hope you'll be patient with me until then!
And thanks again for reading. Even leaving a review on ways I can improve would be super helpful!
